Paul Edwin Cole? What happened to you? Paul? It's a
film called The Actor, a mystery directed by Duke Johnson,
based on a twenty ten novel. The central character is
Paul Cole, and New York actor who finds himself stranded

in the middle of Ohio in the nineteen fifties. Stranded
with amnesia, he begins his life a new developing a
relationship with a costume designer, and tries to put his
past together slowly, bit by bit, all the while attempting
to find his way home. The film is an exploration
of memory and the search for identity and one's true self,

and it works very well in a surreal, psychological kind
of way. Andre Holland leads a cast of talented actors
in a small movie that you'd definitely want to check out.
