Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Hamilton's on Magnolia, and there's the Hamilton's on Ogle Tree.
The head coach of the Little Fayette Bulldogs is Juan Williams,
and he is live. Good morning, Coach Williams.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Good morning guys. How are y'all?
Speaker 1 (00:11):
Man? Good coach? How are you doing? Coach?
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Hey man? I woke up and I got two gifts
this morning, so I am great.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
I hear you, I hear. And you're coming off a
big win over Elwood Christian fifty one to six. You
want to oh and life is good, isn't it?
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Coach? Yes, sir, Like I said, those two gifts, I
got to open up both my eyes this morning, so
I knew that's what I'm grateful. You know what? We
all like that.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
I love that. I love that. Will tell us about
the win, coach, It must have been a good.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
One, Yes, sir. Our kids came out and we were
fortunate to get the win. We played great first game.
Jitters played to their level for a little while. Then
we got the back to playing how we supposed to play.
So we were very happy and fortunate to get the wind.
We went down on the road Alabama.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yes, sir, anybody you want to mention, coach, maybe bring
up that played well well.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
A lot of kids played well. We're very proud of
Jaydon Lacy. Are running back played really well. Kimar Harrington
also played well. Cameron Thomas. Our line, our line blocked
very well for us. Offensively, defensively, we had some I
think three picks. Wow, really really great thing we did
(01:25):
with our defense. Defensive coach did a really great job.
Both sides of the ball did a great job and
just ready for week two.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
There you go. Week two are fat bulls one Williams
the head coach. They win fifty one six over Ellwood
Christian at Central Haneyville this week. Coach, I was looking
them up. Tell me what we know about Central Haneyville.
Let me let me look them up for they They
had did not play last week, did they, coach?
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yeah, they played Jim Marie against ws Neil. So they're
gonna be big and Phil's gonna be a little something
different than what we uh did. Look at the first week.
Their quarterback number seven is really good and they have
an athlete and number one that really stretches the perimeter
for for them. So we're gonna have to be locked
(02:13):
down and bucalom and play some ball against some really
big lineman this week on offensive defensively, sounds like, yes, sir,
go ahead. They're they're really big up front on both sides,
so we're gonna have to do really well against them,
and we feel that we'll be able to do some
(02:33):
things in the air. So we'll see what happens.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
All right, let's see, coach, you guys are oh and
four against them. So I didn't know that lost last year.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
So to not be a big beat them last year.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
No, no, you did beat them last year. My bad,
My bad, My bad, my bad. Y'all are four and
oer against them, Coach, I was looking on their page.
Y'all have undefeated beat them forty one to fourteen last year.
So it'd be a good be good to go to
and oh wouldn't it, coach, that'd be great? How was
everything yesterday practice?
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Oh? We had a good day. And just want our
kids to get better every day. You know, we tell
our kids either you're getting better or you getting worse,
and uh, we just can't speak that. We got to
know that as coaches also, So what we're doing every
day is trying to at least get one percent better.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
There you go. How many kids you get to play
the nights you get to play them all.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Got to play them all. Everybody who went on the
bus got to play. That's awesome.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
That's awesome. So you were able do you play too deep?
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Coach?
Speaker 1 (03:31):
You able to play too deep.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
In some spot?
Speaker 1 (03:34):
In some in some spot okay, In some spots we
are okay. Where are those spots that you have to do? Coach?
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Well, the receiver, we got a good combination. Ever see,
we got a free running back. So we we're too
deep pretty much everywhere, probably except just the line, our
offensive defensive line, we're slim in that. We don't probably
have seven probably good seven eight linemen, so so time
they have to swap out. So that's where our depth
is short at. But everywhere else it's pretty much we
(04:06):
have two to three that can go in and feel
in spots because we don't know what injury may come,
so we try to just rotate guys in and out
at different things and give them a chance to look
at different looks out because you don't know during the
football season what happened. No, you're right about that.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
You feel good about your number one quarterback coach, and
do you have a backup?
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Yes, sir, we do. Yes. We feel good about Key
more Harrington. I started, yeah, he was. I started last
year and he has grown a lot into the role
and it looks to be one of our leaders on
the offense. Good. His his backup is Dimitrius Harrison, and
we feel this kid can come in and play. He
(04:48):
had a good game Friday night. He got probably thirty
percent of the snaps, So we feel really good about
him coming in and been able to manage the game.
And something. What's happening to you? No there, cousins, cousins? Okay, hey,
do you think that your how's your speed? Coach?
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Team speed?
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Are you talking about this big team?
Speaker 1 (05:08):
You know, speed kills at good point?
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Yeah, I mean we're we're fortunate this year and our
skill guys. We have about three or four guys that
can stretch the field at any time. So, uh, you know,
our receivers of being one of our biggest assets this year.
So we're we're really fortunate to have about four receivers
that can stretch the field.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
We're good. Yeah, that's important. And you've got a quarterback
they can get the ball to them.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Yes, sir, we scored on the first play throwing the ball. Yeah,
you know. Yeah, so that's what we're We're depending on
them a lot this year.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Coach, y'all don't play at home for them, that's tough.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Yeah, we're gonna be some road warriors. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
I wrote that down road warriors little Yeah, I was
gonna say that's and then you got poking on that,
and then you got three at home, and then you
got four to road at home.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
So yeah, so if we can go out and and
and do what we're supposed to do and uh on
on this road, it's a good time to come back
and rest for the for the big boys.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
You're right about that, getting that playoff contention for them, guys,
that's exactly right.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
All right.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
What about your JV and your middle.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
School and all? Uh I he uh, you know, we
play them together. We played tonight in Barbara County, Okay, okay,
so uh we'll take those guys down there and see
what they can do for their first game.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Okay, all right, now, Coach Vines, was he on your staff.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
At one time, Coach Vine, Jeremy Vine, Yeah, before, No,
he was there before I got there. But really good
friend of mine. He's over to my house not too
long ago.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
But good for him.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Yeah, he is. I love him to death. Man, a
great coach doing great things at Bullet County.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Me and him talked, uh, probably about twice a week.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Well you tell him, I said, he I'm gonna reach
out to him. But what a what a good dude
he is, and he's done a heck of a job
for sure, Yes, sir, he has. All Right, coach, good
luck to you this week. We look forward to talking
to you tomorrow at the Coaching Show, but good luck
this weekend playing Central of Haneyville.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
On the road.
Speaker 1 (07:13):

time on. We'll see you tomorrow night. Okay, buddy, that's
one
