iron Man. Once I saw that movie Game Over, that
was it. I was hooked.

as The Dark Knight Right, And and I remember this
specifically because The Dark Knight was so dark and gritty
and Iron Man was like more fun, like both great movies.
But I was like, we're on a base a franchise
off anything, it's gonna be Batman, Like there's no way
you can't like, there's no way they're gonna be able

to rope in all these other characters, like whereas Batman
is so easy and now we're twenty plus years later
and it's gone the exact opposite. So I'm not good
at predicting things clearly, and so I mean that's I
think that's where like my interest started to because that
was like I love the Spider Man movies right right,

Like that's where that's where. Yeah, that's where like my
afterbirth came. And so like those first three Toby Maguire
Spider Man movies is like where is where my bread's buttered?
And then when you start in the ACTU and everything

that's come like so full circle obviously, like with Tobyquire
coming back, it's like I started, wait, hold on, this
is where I was going. This is where I was going.
So what was it that made you start to lose interest?
Because we used to come in Monday mornings and like

have a full review over whatever movie we saw over WandaVision.

That kind of it didn't take you all the way out,
but it wasn't so much I have to see this.

I think it was the amount of content we were getting,
like all the series on Disney plus some were cool,
but then it became too much, and then some of
it it kind of went away with the style.

Like your quality started going down, right, it.

Got a little like it was like for children, you know,
got a little corny that I think that's where I
started to like kind of step away. And also it's like,
you know, I forever want what's his face to be
my Captain America, Chris Evans, Chris Evans. So just having
to say bye to Phase three of the Avengers really

hurt my heart. But I understood that we have to
keep it moving and there's and we are going to
eventually fall in love because I have trust in Disney
like that with the new characters and the new movies.
But it was just really hard to stay by to
everyone in Endgame, not everyone, but you know, our our
Iron Man or Captain America.

And there's the reality of it. Right, Like there's also
like we we would love to live in this fictional
world where all these like they don't go away, they
can stay you know, in their forties and fifties. Ye,
they can't, you know, at some point, like Chris Evans
does want to do other things, Robbie Jarren Junior does
want to do other things. They don't want to be
still being you know, cast as superhero movies like for

their entire lives. And I think that's where that's where
I pivoted to, is like after Spider Man No Way Home, Yeah, right,
and it's like that is maybe my favorite movie of
all of the MCU movie Wow. And then you have
this and then like the series start and they start

pretty solid, like WandaVision was like it's still fantastic.

the Wasp. Yeah, right, and so you start, you start fracturing.
You have to pick and choose what you like and
what you don't like. And then you come out of
COVID and I don't this isn't me like like shitting
on anything necessarily because the quality of show is was

just fine. But Miss Marvel, oh gosh, it was so
hard for me as a thirty five year old man
to get through that show because it was like, it
wasn't meant for me. Yeah, but I also know.

and having everyone react the same together, like that community feeling,
that connection was just like Phase three. It was like
the same feel. So it was like, here we are
back again. Another movie could do that.

shock and the the like you could feel it.

Bringing Electra back, like the actual actress, what is it,

nostalgia that really gets us, right, And I think that's
why you love Spider Man and it's fun.

like these franchises are supposed to be. They're supposed to

it is that and the introduction of X Men is exciting,
like yes, like rather than going back and like trying

a very dangerous road because it's gonna have to be

with the amount of characters and movies that we have,
I would think it's an easy thing they could do,

Like the reason why the MCU is as big as
it is, that's the reason why I'm so in love
with it. It's Robert Downey Jr. Two thousand and eight,
iron Man. Once I saw that movie Game Over, that
was it. I was hooked.

Oh boy boy. So that came out the same year
as The Dark Knight Right, And and I remember this
specifically because The Dark Knight was so dark and gritty
and Iron Man was like more fun, like both great movies.
But I was like, we're on a base a franchise
off anything, it's gonna be Batman, Like there's no way
you can't like, there's no way they're gonna be able

to rope in all these other characters, like whereas Batman
is so easy and now we're twenty plus years later
and it's gone the exact opposite. So I'm not good
at predicting things clearly, and so I mean that's I
think that's where like my interest started to because that
was like I love the Spider Man movies right right,

Like that's where that's where. Yeah, that's where like my
afterbirth came. And so like those first three Toby Maguire
Spider Man movies is like where is where my bread's buttered?
And then when you start in the ACTU and everything

that's come like so full circle obviously, like with Tobyquire
coming back, it's like I started, wait, hold on, this
is where I was going. This is where I was going.
So what was it that made you start to lose interest?
Because we used to come in Monday mornings and like

have a full review over whatever movie we saw over WandaVision.

That kind of it didn't take you all the way out,
but it wasn't so much I have to see this.

I think it was the amount of content we were getting,
like all the series on Disney plus some were cool,
but then it became too much, and then some of
it it kind of went away with the style.

Like your quality started going down, right, it.

Got a little like it was like for children, you know,
got a little corny that I think that's where I
started to like kind of step away. And also it's like,
you know, I forever want what's his face to be
my Captain America, Chris Evans, Chris Evans. So just having
to say bye to Phase three of the Avengers really

hurt my heart. But I understood that we have to
keep it moving and there's and we are going to
eventually fall in love because I have trust in Disney
like that with the new characters and the new movies.
But it was just really hard to stay by to
everyone in Endgame, not everyone, but you know, our our
Iron Man or Captain America.

And there's the reality of it. Right, Like there's also
like we we would love to live in this fictional
world where all these like they don't go away, they
can stay you know, in their forties and fifties. Ye,
they can't, you know, at some point, like Chris Evans
does want to do other things, Robbie Jarren Junior does
want to do other things. They don't want to be
still being you know, cast as superhero movies like for

their entire lives. And I think that's where that's where
I pivoted to, is like after Spider Man No Way Home, Yeah, right,
and it's like that is maybe my favorite movie of
all of the MCU movie Wow. And then you have
this and then like the series start and they start

pretty solid, like WandaVision was like it's still fantastic.

the Wasp. Yeah, right, and so you start, you start fracturing.
You have to pick and choose what you like and

hard for me as a thirty five year old man
to get through that show because it was like, it

shock and the the like you could feel it.

Bringing Electra back, like the actual actress, what is it,

nostalgia that really gets us, right, And I think that's
why you love Spider Man and it's fun.

Yeah, fun, Like that's what ultimately these movies and this,
like these franchises are supposed to be. They're supposed to
be fun. Yeah, And it was that and it's and
it is that and the introduction of X Men is exciting,
like yes, like rather than going back and like trying

And then we have Captain America Brave New World. That's
that's coming out February next year.

So there is a whole bunch of reshoots in that.

I saw that and they're like why.

So they they inserted I guess the movie was like
done and then they decided they wanted to add another character,
and so Giancarlo Esposito, who's in Breaking Bad and oh,
he was in Star Wars Mandalorian, he's in The man Lorian.

So they his character. It was like written into the
movie after the movie was apparently done shooting, and so
a lot of the reshoots were about like his character.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
Oh okay, now see I what do you think his
character is going to be?
Speaker 3 (27:12):
I don't know. I don't know, but like that Captain
America world is so grounded in reality that it's hard
for me to believe that he's going to be like Mephisto,
you know what I mean. He's not going to be Magneto. Like,
he's going to be somebody who's very much like of

this planet.

Do you think they're using that movie to bring in
the X Men?

I think so, yeah, I think so. I think that's
where I think that's where you really start seeing those
characters move in, because if they're going to turn the
president into a whole yeah, oh like they need they
need help, right, they do. That's the whole that's the
whole deal.
