Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good evening. Welcome to Voice in the Wilderness. I'm Don
Noble of Pure Heart Ministries, and I welcome you today
with exceedingly abundantly and overflowing joy. Before I get started tonight,
I do want to mention something very important that's going
to be happening this week Thursday. This coming Thursday, May
first is National Day of Prayer and I will be
(00:23):
heading that event at West Banco Arena at eight am. Now,
this is a little different from what I've done for
the past oh my goodness, probably fifteen years. I haven't
done a breakfast. We've done different venues, but this this
(00:45):
is a breakfast at seven am, just for invited guests,
so that would be clergy and city officials. Then at
eight am, one hour late, it is open to the public.
The public can come at seven forty five. It's open
to the public, and we will have our actual National
(01:08):
Day of Prayer program this year. I'm highlighting. Our speaker
is Mike Asinger. He is a West Virginia State Senator
from Wood County. He's a very godly man. I've heard
him speak multiple times and pray, and I can tell
you it will be worth your while to come hear
(01:30):
him talk about prayer in the market place and the
impact of prayer in his life. Because we are fortunate,
very fortunate in West Virginia to have many of our legislatures,
delegates and state senators who are born again. They are
real Christians. So what a blessing to the citizens of
(01:54):
West Virginia. So I encourage you to come on down.
It'll be open to the public. It's seven forty five am.
Our program will last about an hour, so eight to
nine we'll have worship, we have other people praying, and
then we'll have Mike speak. He'll be coming toward the
(02:17):
end of the program. So please come and join us,
Please unite with us. See it's important for the body
of Christ to come together and pray for our nation,
pray together, pray in agreement. And so I'm really encouraging
you to come out this coming Thursday morning. If you
can be there before eight a m. That would be great.
(02:40):
We look forward to seeing you. Last week I started
a message called is the Blood Necessary. I'm going to
complete that tonight. So this is part two. I am
not going to take time to talk about last week's program,
but I will start tonight with number six and I
did mention this last week about the blood providing supernatural protection.
(03:05):
And we look to Exodus twelve thirteen and actually Exodus
twelve twelve and thirteen, and it reads this. It says,
for I will pass through the land of Egypt this
night and will smite all the first born in the
land of Egypt, both man and beast, and against all
(03:28):
the gods of Egypt, I will execute judgment proving their helplessness.
I am the Lord. The blood shall be for a
token or signed to you upon the doorposts of the
house where you are, that when I see the blood,
I will pass over you, and no plague shall be
(03:49):
upon you to destroy you when I smite the land
of Egypt. So it's very clear based on those two
scriptures that the blood in this text in Exodus was
a foreshadow of the blood that would come on the
(04:11):
cross with Jesus. And this blood in Egypt that was
from the lambs. It was put on the lentils and
the top of the door provided supernatural protection. When the
Angel of Death came, it couldn't touch the houses that
(04:32):
had the lamb's blood on the door. And God said,
no plague will come upon you to destroy you when
I smite the land of Egypt. So every firstborn beast
and first born child in Egypt was killed. And yet
(04:59):
all of the Hebrew people were protected because of the
Lamb's blood. So that lamb's blood. Think about this, If
the Lamb's blood was that powerful to protect them, can
you just imagine what the power of Jesus' blood is
(05:21):
like with regard to protection, supernatural protection. See, we don't
think about that when you read scripture. You have to
take time to put everything in context. So we see
that the lamb's blood did something phenomenal, totally protected them
from death. But the lamb's blood was a foreshadow of
(05:44):
the blood that would be shed on the cross by Jesus.
And of course, the blood of Jesus is stronger than
the Lamb's blood. Wouldn't you agree? The blood of the
blood of Jesus is stronger than death. So you and
I can apply the blood of Jesus knowing the power
(06:11):
that's in his blood. Okay, Number seven, and we're talking
about is the blood necessary? Number seven? The blood gives
us access to enter the most holy place. Now we
(06:31):
go to Hebrews chapter ten, verse nineteen, and it says this. Therefore, brethren,
since we have full freedom and confidence to enter into
(06:53):
the Holy of Holies by the power and virtue in
the Blood of Jesus. So it's the blood that gives
us access to enter the most holy place. Right, we
now have full freedom and confidence that we can come
into the Holy of Holies. We can come into the
Holy the most holy place, by the power and virtue
(07:17):
that's in the blood of Jesus. Verse twenty says, by
this fresh, new and living way which He initiated and
dedicated and opened for us through the separating curtain, the
veil of the Holy of Holies, that is through His flesh.
(07:41):
And since we have such a great and wonderful and
noble priest who rules over the House of God. I mean,
this is this is so powerful. And I've been mentioning
to you about reading the Book of Hebrews. Can't you
let me let me tell you something about the Book
(08:03):
of Hebrews. If you don't already know, you cannot read
the Book of Hebrews, like in a week. It's just
not gonna happen, because now you're talking meat, you know.
Paul says that when we're young in the Lord first
born again, you know, we're drinking milk. But he says that,
(08:23):
you know, as time moves on, we have to mature
so that we can eat the meat of the word.
Hebrews is all meat. There is no milk in this
book of the Bible. So this is a book that
you're I mean, you don't you swallow milk. You chew meat.
(08:45):
So you're gonna have to chew and chew and chew
and meditate on Hebrews to get it. Fully, you can't
do that in a week. You couldn't do it in
two weeks, three weeks. Because some of these scriptures, just
like one scripture can knock you. I mean, it can
just blow your mind and the revelation you can get
(09:06):
from it. So I'm telling you, if you really want
to understand the cross, or you want to understand the
power of Jesus Blood, or if you want to understand
what this you know, comparison from what was foreshadowed in
the Old Testament and then is being executed in the
(09:27):
New Testament, read the Book of Hebrews. Need I say
more so? Number seven is the blood gives us access
to enter the most holy place. Okay, so I read
you ten nineteen. I'm going to read you four sixteen.
Let us then fearlessly. Now this is because of what
(09:50):
has happened, because the veil has been torn, we can
enter the holy holies. Let us then fear fearlessly, fearlessly
and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace,
the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners, that
(10:11):
we may receive mercy for our failures and find grace
to help in good time for every need, appropriate help
and well timed help coming just when we need it.
Isn't that powerful? You know? This should encourage you, like
(10:35):
really encourage you, this particular scripture. And of course I'm
reading out of the Amplified Classic, and then I'm going
to be reading out of the New Living Translation as well,
so I have a mixture here. But I'm telling you
this is powerful stuff, all right. Verse excuse me, number eight.
(11:01):
The blood is the blood necessary. The blood gives us
authority over all sickness and disease. And we realize that
the devil operates illegally. So I'm going to be reading
Isaiah fifty three, verses one through five in the NLT
(11:23):
because I think it has it will have more impact
for you because it's a little easier to understand. So
it starts out Isaiah fifty three, who has believed our message,
to whom as the Lord revealed his powerful arm, my
servant grew up in the Lord's presence like a tender
(11:43):
green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was
nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract
us to him. He was despised and rejected, a man
of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs
(12:09):
on him, and we looked the other way. He was despised,
and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses
he carried. It was our sorrows that weighed him. And
(12:31):
just to help you here it in verse for their
sorrows in the Hebrew means sicknesses, So it was his.
It was our sicknesses that weighed him down. And we
(12:58):
thought his troubles were a punishment from God. We thought
it was punishment for his own sins. But he was
pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was
beaten so we could be made whole. He was whipped
so we could be healed. You can see in these
(13:25):
verses one through five, that the blood is authority, gives
us authority over all sickness and disease. So he was
acquainted with our deepest griefs, sicknesses, diseases, and he carried
(13:55):
all of that for us. And he was pierced for
our rebellion against him and crushed just just merely for
our sins. This is powerful. So the devil operates illegally.
(14:15):
And when you understand Isaiah fifty three, then you begin
to understand the authority that has been given to us
and what Jesus death on the Cross provided for you
and I. Amen. Number nine, the blood rescued you and
(14:36):
I from the power of fear and death. And let's see,
I want to talk about the fact that that blood,
(15:11):
it rescued us. It rescued us from eternal hell. So
the power of death doesn't have any power over us
any longer. We don't have to fear anything because we've
been rescued from the power of fear and death. Number ten,
(15:36):
the blood has redeemed you and I from the curse.
Now that's Galatians three thirteen. And let me turn there
real quick. Galatians three thirteen. Christ purchased our freedom, redeeming
(15:57):
us from the curse doom of the law and its
condemnation by himself becoming a curse for us. For it
is written in the scriptures cursed is everyone who hangs
on a tree or is crucified. So we've been redeemed
from the curse through Jesus' blood. And then we look
(16:23):
at first Peter Verse Peter, chapter one, and verses eighteen
through nineteen, and it says, you must know recognize that
(16:45):
you were redeemed, ransomed from the useless, fruitless way of
living inherited by tradition from your forefathers, not with corruptible
things such as silver and gold, but you were purchased
with the precious blood of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, like
that of a sacrificial lamb, without blemish or spot. And
(17:10):
that is you know, I've always loved this scripture and
First Peter, because it's just you know, jesus blood is
not corruptible, there's nothing corrupt. It's pure, it's holy. And
that's why that blood was able to redeem us from death,
hell and the grave and fear. And you and I
(17:32):
were purchased, we were bought with that precious blood like
that of a sacrificial sacrificial lamb. The curse, which came
on the earth through sin and the work of the devil,
is the source of every bad thing on earth. Curses
(17:54):
produce nothing but sickness, poverty, defeat, and destruction. Nobody, nobody
wants to live under the curse, and thank God, as
a believer, you don't have to. You've been delivered from it.
You've been redeemed with the precious that word's important, the
(18:20):
precious blood of Christ. And because of the blood, the
curse has no power over you. You've been loosed from the
devil's hold. You've been freed from any and all curses
in every area of life. The Bible says in Psalm
(18:40):
one O seven, verse two, let the redeemed of the
Lord say so whom he has redeemed from the hand
of the enemy. So, hey, you and I are the
redeemed of the Lord, and we say so. So when
any part of the curse tries to attach itself to you,
(19:03):
open your mouth and declare, I am redeemed. So this
thing about generational curses, put that away. There's all kind
of people out there trying to break generational curses off
off of Christians. What that generational curse was broken. Jesus
(19:28):
took the curse. He became the curse. He became the curse.
All those curses. You don't have to go through this
big litany of prayers to break generational curses. He became
the curse period. And because of his blood that those
(19:51):
curses pre born again pre Jesus in your life, those
curses have no power over you. They did have power
over you until you got born again, but because of
Jesus' blood, the curse has no power over you. You've
you've been set free. You've been freed from all the
curses in every area of your life. So when any
(20:14):
curse tries to attach itself to you, just say hello,
I am redeemed. Amen Number eleven. The blood speaks mercy,
and I just read to you Hebrews four sixteen. I
don't need to read that again, but that's where it
(20:35):
talks about. You know, we can, we can come boldly
to the throne of grace to obtain mercy. And this
blood of Jesus, it speaks for you. It speaks to
you and against your enemy, the devil. And just as
Abel's blood cried out from the ground when he was
(20:57):
murdered by his brother. Jesus blood cried out when it
ran from his body, down the cross and into the
ground on that day he was crucified. But there's a
big difference between Jesus' blood dripping down on earth and
Able's blood crying out from the ground. But instead of
(21:22):
calling for vengeance as Abel's blood did, Jesus' blood spoke
and still speaks better things. It speaks mercy. Ooh, that
is powerful. It cries out for your forgiveness and redemption.
(21:43):
And because the voice of Jesus's blood is powerful and
full of authority and speaking on your behalf, today you
can come boldly to the throne of Grace to obtain
mercy and find great to help and every time a need.
I mean, this is so good. The blood number twelve.
(22:10):
The blood has provided you with an everlasting covenant. The
curse which came on the earth through sin. Right, sin
brought the curse and the work of the devil is
the source of every bad thing on earth. Think about it.
(22:33):
I mean, there's lots of bad things on the earth
today and it's all a result of the curse that
came on the earth through sin and the Devil's you know,
work is manipulations. The curse produces nothing but sickness, poverty, defeat,
(22:57):
and destruction. So you can you can act, actually look
at whole societies. You can even look at nations and
you can see where these people are living under the curse.
There's horrible poverty, lots of destruction, sickness, poverty. Yeah, so
nobody wants to live under the curse. But we have
(23:28):
been provided with an everlasting covenant, and you can experience
true spiritual security because you have a relationship with God
that has no end to it. Your covenant with him
will remain in force and never be interrupted through all
of eternity because Jesus ratified it with his own blood,
(23:51):
and because he did, you can't mess it up. When
you fail. The blood provides mercy for your failure. It
cleanses you and keeps the covenant intact. This should bring
you a lot of comfort. You know, it's wonderful to
(24:12):
know that regardless of your mistakes, your failures, God's never
let me just emphasize the word never going to give
up on you. He started this work of faith in you,
and He's going to finish it. Let me just read
(24:35):
Philippians once uh, Philippians one six, and it says this,
And I am convinced, Paul says, and sure of this
(24:55):
very thing, that He who began a good work in you,
will continue until the day of Jesus Christ, right up
to the time of his return, developing that good work
and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.
So Paul was totally convinced that what God started in
(25:19):
each of us, He's going to finish that work, that
good work in us up until the time he comes back.
And he is. He's actually actively doing something for you
and I. He's developing that good work, he's perfecting it,
and he's bringing it to full completion in you and I.
That should encourage you greatly, greatly. And He's going to
(25:45):
finish it. And He's going to do it through the
blood of the Everlasting Covenant Hebrews thirteen twenty and twenty one.
He will make you perfect in every day good work,
to do His will, working in you that which is
well pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ, to whom
(26:08):
be glory forever and ever. So we have these are
promises that you can hang on to amen. And lastly,
the blood provides the riches of his grace, and this
(26:30):
is Ephesians two, verse seven says He did this that
he might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come, through
the ages to come, the immeasurable, limitless, surpassing riches of
his free grace, his unmerited favor in his kindness and
(26:53):
goodness of heart toward us in Christ Jesus. So grace
is the power to change and overcome sin. That's what
it does. That's what it's all about. Mercy is God's
power to forgive sins. And guess what. Jesus is rich
(27:16):
in grace, and he gives grace to you and I abundantly.
The riches, this richness of his grace is because of
his blood. Yes, because of his blood. The power of
grace is absolutely amazing. It saves but also changes everything
(27:40):
about us that needs changed, all because of the blood
Ephesians one seven, in whom we have redemption through his blood,
the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace.
You see all because God is rich in grace and
(28:00):
he gives it to you and I liberally. I am
way out of time. I hope you enjoyed this teaching.
