We always say the season is a marathon not a sprint.  So one game is like about one half of a tenth of a mile.  Can we judge anything by it? The Texas Rangers hope that it is the beginning of a record setting half marathon. An ALLCITY Network Production SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/@DLLS_Sports ALL THINGS DLLS: WEBSITE:https://store.allcitynetwork.com/collections/dlls-locker BUY MERCH:http://DLLSLocker.com FOLLOW ON SOCIAL:Twitter: @DLLS_SportsInstagram: @DLLS_Sports Become a DLLS Diehard and get access to premium content, our Discord channel, discounts on merch, and a free shirt! Speaker 1 (00:02):
Well, well, well, look who showed up to the party.
The Rangers offense. Is it a one off kind of
hope not. Let's talk about it next. It's the DLLs
Rangers Podcast. Now, that's more like it, right, that's more

(00:34):
like what we expected out of the Rangers offense for
the entire season. It's more like what we hope the
Rangers offense can look like for a minute. Here, Hi there,
Welcome into the DLLs Sports Studios. It's the DLLs Rangers Podcast.
Met John Radigan, that's Jeff Wilson. Kat the Queen is
back and we're glad to have her, and we we

(00:56):
really put it to work today. I mean, you know,
it's kind of like an initiation, Jeff, it's like baptism
by fire, by God. We're gonna make her do maybe
more work than we've ever made a producer do. Yeah,
that's that's our goal. I mean, what the heck, you know,
let's just see, let's just see if she's if she's
up to muster and and so far, by God, she is,

(01:17):
and we knew she would be. Actually, we want you
to chat with us, join in. We know you're out there.
It's finally a fun day it's not just a fun
day because it's another frosty and beer day, although that contributes, Jeff,
it does, and we need to get those. Yeah, we'll
have to fear. Maybe I'll text profit or yeah, banner

(01:38):
the skipper somebody and bring us. I didn't see him.
Oh he's on vacation. Okay, well maybe profitable bring down
to profit up. Uh wow. Yeah, so look we can
finally laugh a little bit. Isn't it fun to be
able to laugh a little bit? And because Jeff, last

(01:59):
night's game was a lot, it's what what you call
a laugher. It was.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
It was really nice and fun and uh anytime you
can make the other team bring in a position player
to pitch your in good shape and get to enjoy
those but uh, it was, you know, it was just
good how they did it. There were two out hits,
there were uh well that was the main un hits
with runners and scoring position of course, and then the

(02:25):
home runs came in late after everything was decided. So
the lead was built on just good just good hitting,
good offense, and uh man, it was it was just
refreshing to see and again, you know, we've seen it
at times, you know, a little eleven run game here,
then two weeks later another eleven run game, and then

(02:50):
but but this one comes after pretty good Saturday and
Sunday in Washington, and and that that Tampa series, the
last two.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Games are pretty good.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Yeah, go back to the Cardinals series at home and
two of the three games are good. So there might
just be something happening here, a little progress.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
It seems like it feels like that there is progress,
which is fantastic. And I think to your point, the
previous you know, four games real or four out of
the previous five prior to yesterday's opening game of the
series all felt like the offense felt a little bit different.

(03:30):
So we will hope that it continues to head in
that direction. In the meantime, Nathan A. Valdi and we'll
get to lot more, lots more about this offense in
the second segment. We've got some odds and ends from
the game and from yesterday's baseball coming up in the
third segment, and then of course the cleanup segment. But

(03:51):
the news out of Minnesota yesterday, Jeff, was that Nathan
Evaldi is headed back home, and you know, Bruce Bochie's
quote was basically that he is not progressing as we
hoped he would. Right, he's not moving along, not recovering
quite as fast as we thought he would, and that
it's troubling.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
It is, it is, you know it especially you know. Yeah,
and this kind of follows the along the lines that.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
TR saying, and you guys were asking about the profit
theory is bringing us a couple of BUTTL area, there's
the profit. He's okay, everybody, Well he still love the
profet by God. So uh anyway, anyway, it goes back
to what TR sould the Tommy never underestimate an injuries,
you know, because when when of all he came out
of the game, Oh, this is precautionary, you won't miss

(04:43):
any time, and I'm like, oh, we're just gonna.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Bump him back. And then and then it was like
all right, we're gonna put on the inter list. But
as soon as he's ready, he's coming off. And now
it's like, well he's not responding as well as he thought.
Send him back to Texas. Uh So, you know, I
don't think it's anything structural. The latest MRI had no
structural damage. I think it's a nerve issue. I think

(05:07):
that they're trying to get a nerve to calm down.
And and you know, I heard, I heard I was told that,
and I said, oh, nerve because it made me think
of Max. Sure, sure, yeah, And I was told in
all caps in fact, this is not not was in
all caps a Max Sureser situation. Uh So, I I

(05:29):
just think they're being mindful that, again, more than half
the season left, you want you want this guy in
your rotation late when again the Rangers still believe they're
gonna be playing meaningful games in September, so it's time
to get him one hundred percent. But if if the
nerve gets calmed down, they have no, they're not gonna

(05:50):
have any hesitancy to put him in. You know, it's
possible he's still froze this week. So we'll we'll, we'll.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
See, you know.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
But I I think that the VISI yesterday was more
of a you know, taking your car in for a
tune up or a diagnostic check and just making sure
that what was initially diagnosed remains the correct diagnosis.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Yeah, and the you know, the timeline of it, as
you mentioned, is the thing that you know, it's just
there's there's been kind of some mixed messages throughout right
in that we were both standing there with Evo just
before they left on this long road trip might have
been the getaway day before they left, and he said, oh, yeah,
I'm pitching, you know, Saturday or whatever his day was

(06:37):
on Thursday. He was going to pitch Thursday's Tampa. Yeah,
he was gonna pitch Thursday. And anyway, Uh, then we
get the news from from Chris Young later that afternoon
that he was going on the injured list and we're like,
wait a minute, he just said he was pitching, right,
So there's mixed messages there, and then it's like, oh, yeah, yeah,
he's doing fine. He's coming back when we think and

(06:59):
now we get this news and so you're right. And
so then in your experience and I can't you have
a better memory for stuff like this other than sures
or do we can't? Can we remember people who pitched
through nerve issues? Like is that a thing where okay,
it's not structural, it's the nerve. Yeah, the nerve might

(07:19):
bark at you a little bit, but it's not going
to hurt you long term you can pitch. Or is
that something that's not even going to be considered?

Speaker 2 (07:27):
You know, I I don't recall on off the top
of my head. And then maybe it's because the suser
thing is scarred into into my memory. But yeah, and
then a lot of times you don't know what these
guys are pitching through. You know, I always got something,
you know, But he's he's fighting through it, you know,
you do hear some nerve things, and you know it

(07:48):
sounds like a minor deal until I guess you have one,
and and those nerves can play tricks on you. But
if if, if Valdey knows that he can't hurt himself,
and he just has to recognized that as he froze,
nothing bad is happening in his arm. It's just this nerve,
and I think he's going to be steely enough to
get through it. But again, they do want it to

(08:11):
calm down. For a visuer to be at his best,
he doesn't have to be wondering, yeah, why is my
arm tight? You know, and and just the natural instinct
that would come with that. So I guess we'll wait
and find out today, you know, there should be some news,
an update on his status, and so we'll we'll end

(08:32):
up waiting, waiting to see what happens. But I don't
think it's like this god awful thing. I just think
it's a little bit more than what it was initially
cracked up to be.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Meantime, the Rangers have signed a closer that's a proven closer,
the same thing everybody was asking for the entire offseason.
Although yeah, I'm not sure. Look put it this way.
They've signed him to a minor league deal.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
So honestly, when when this guy is done and you
look at his final numbers, you're gonna be like, should
he be on the Hall of Fame? Yeah, that's how
That's how good Craig Kimberl has been at times. And
he has a pileot you know, more than four hundred saves.
He's been around forever, and sometimes it's a heart attack,

(09:22):
you know. And and I don't think oriole fans, after
seeing him last year, would at all agree with my
recent assessment. The Braves signed him. He pitched what one
inning for them. I don't think it went particularly well.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Yeah, I mean, he gave up a hit, but no runs.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
It's immediately designated for assignment. I think what the issue
was was the stuff was a little bit down. You know,
this is a guy that used to throw it ninety seven,
ninety eight, touch one hundred every once in a while.
It's average fastball velocity was ninety one point six. Yeah,
that's things a little little bit. Yeah, and it's it's

(10:02):
just been kind of tumbling for the last handful of years.
So I wouldn't get too excited about it yesterday, but
or I wouldn't get too excited about his signing. However,
he is, he can pitch, he's crafty, he can probably
get get through some stuff. And maybe the Rangers can
unlock some velocity. Maybe it's not father time because he's

(10:26):
been he's been around a long time, but maybe there's
a way they can mechanical thing or just you know,
some kind of change might lead to more velocity. I
don't know if he's gonna suddenly pick up six miles
per hour, but he probably needs to throw a little
bit harder right now. So this isn't this isn't the
future closer right, but it isn't an experienced arm and

(10:51):
could probably use could probably use the depth and and
somebody who you know, you can call up and there's
a thing or two.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
No doubt, I mean, there's no room for him to
be this guy, But to be that guy in the
clubhouse with a bunch of young relief pitches. Not all
of them are young, obviously Chris Martin's not, but with
young guys, I mean, that wouldn't be a bad thing.
That said, you know, you've got to bring more to
the table than just your experience. He's thirty seven, though, Jeff,

(11:23):
he's two years younger than Chris Martin. Chris Martin, Yeah,
so that's you know, not necessarily too old, but everybody's
body reacts to all this wear and tear that baseball
puts on it differently. Well, and you know, he.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Throwing a lot of ball games, throwing a lot of
high leverage situations. Yeah, you know, if you look at
the career saves total, four hundred and forty saves, that's
pretty good.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
That's good.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
He hasn't had more than twenty twenty four as as
high in the last five seasons. I was in twenty
twenty one. He saved forty two in twenty eighteen, and
it's kind of kind of diminished since then. But you know,
it's still a name, and uh yeah, I'd be kind
of curious, but I don't want to see it in

(12:11):
the night they.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
No, certainly not yet. I mean, he needs he needs
to prove himself somewhere else first, probably starting at the
minor league level. I do think that, of course, you know,
when the Braves defade him, he had a chance if
he wanted to to stay with that organization, and the
fact that he didn't and then did take a minor

(12:34):
league assignment with the Rangers, that sends a message, that
says something it does, and.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Maybe he sees more opportunity whatever it is. And you know,
maybe Chris Young had a nice little sales pitch.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
I'm not sure, but there are a lot of ways
to do rarities. Do you think what happened to Joe
Nathan when he signed with the Rangers will work out
for Kimberl too. It's different because Nathan was coming off
at Tommy John Surgery, and and I think he was
younger too, a little little, not a lot a lot younger.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
So I think I think.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
They're just two different scenarios.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Yeah, I mean Nathan signed a free agent deal here, Yeah,
I mean that he was a major league deal.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Yeah, it was. It was the move that triggered if
Tally Felli is going to the rotation. That's why they
signed him so that they could have an answer there
and then send Felie to the rotation where he blew up.
But yeah, and as Gallaga jamp says, it's it's low risk,

(13:40):
but he's kind of washed.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Well yeah, maybe he is. But and Blake's right, the
number his numbers at the minor league level for the
Braves were good. Yeah. But again, I mean, think of
those minor leaguers watching this and all that, you know, distract.
But I've said this before, I'm not positive as a fan.
I can watch him. If he's closing every game, that
gets me nervous.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
I'll say this, if he was having success at Triple
A where they have the ABS, I mean he was
throwing quality strike your point, Yeah, and so that would
be a good sign.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
I think, absolutely, absolutely true. So anyway, we'll see what
happens with that. We'll see what comes of it, if anything.
But it's it's happened, right, that thing happened. Let's talk
about this offensive resurgence that was certainly in full force
last night, and like we said, maybe it was not
necessarily the beginning, but a continuation of improved offense. It's

(14:37):
next on the DLLs Rangers podcast. Ah, but first, man doo,
and I'll tell you this. These cooler days right feel like,
oh this is really nice. But do anything outside right now,
and you know how badly you need Mando because it's
so humid. I mean, I go to sweat and walk

(15:00):
into the car. I go, right, It's just it's so
humid right now that you've got to utilize the products
that are available to you, and and don't be afraid
to use them in the middle of a day. I'll
keep up. I keep a pack of the Mando wipes
in my in my car so that if I get
to stinking right well, that's a good place for him,

(15:20):
it is. Yeah, if I get to stinking on the
way into the office here, all right, you know, well,
a little here and a little there generally won't wipe
the grundle in the parking garage. Yeah, generally we get
a little awkward. That could be awkward. And yeah, I
don't want to be accused of anything, but I will
say this. They work, They smell great, They keep you fresh,
cool and smelling great. Five dollars off your starter pack

(15:43):
with the code d LLS. I don't know that these
wendyse frosties are going to make you smell any better,
but they.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Will keep you cool. They will, they will keep you cool.
These things are delicious. Uh. You see us scarfing them
down pretty much every show. It's it's frosty, but it's
like a new spin on the frosty with these Frosty
Swirl and Frosty Fusion flavors. Oreo, Brownie, Caramel crunch, wan
is working on the pop tarts. I'm gonna dive into

(16:11):
the brownie one here.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
In a second. They're so good. They really are good.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
John, You know, I'm I'm always hesitant of going to
a fast food place for ice cream that isn't dairy queen. Yeah,
and these are these are wonderful. I think the Wilson
children would enjoy them, that's how good they are. And so, anyway,
as you've heard us say before, whatever flavor you're craving,
odds are, We've got a Frosty for it. Clocking for

(16:37):
a sweet treat anytime including midnight ere later with Wendy's.
All new frosty flavors are refresh on a classic. Gotta
be Wendy's that participate in us Wendy's hours may very
by location.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
All right, So Jeff needs to take a few bites
of his, which is the brownie batter. I think I
had that one yesterday. I got to get to the
battery and you got to get down there. I'm not
a big chocolate guy, so I liked it, but didn't
love it, believe it or not. So you're saying, are
you eating your words? John, which I guess you could
say I am, because I've said the pop Tart is

(17:08):
the most overrated breakfast food in the world and still
believe that. Not eating my words, but I am eating
another pop Tart frosty, by god, because I'll tell you what.
And maybe it's just that you could put anything in
a frosty and make it good. I don't know, but
this pop Tart frosty is serious, Joe. It's it's good. Yeah,
I'm not, I'm I'm you liked You like it on

(17:31):
my shirt too? It goes well, you like the brownie batter,
I do like the brown Yeah. Okay, we'll keep showing
there throughout the day and we're anxious for the second
break when we crack open the beers.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Jim Rockford, Yeah, he called it. Who apparently was working
on a case for the first segment of the show. Yeah,
he's he's back, and he did. He did predict the
score yesterday of sixteen to four. I thought it was
sixteen to three, is what he said.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Did he say sixteen four yesterday? Wow?

Speaker 2 (18:05):
I mean, I wouldn't I trust Jim Rockford. Well, but
I do remember him predicting a very lopsided score that
had the Rangers scoring sixteen.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Well done, Jim. And it's probably in the Rockford files.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
So that's right out there in LA. He's been busy
with all these rights going on. Yeah, we could check
it in the Rockford files.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
I hope his pontiac is alright. I do too. That's
a sweet ride. That is a sweet ride. I you know,
I didn't call it, but I am feeling so happy
about the way that this offense has gone, Jeff, just
in the fact that, like we said, it's not just
it really isn't just one game. You know, we were

(18:46):
seeing Jake Berger hit the ball better, we were seeing
Evan Carter hit the ball. I mean, Evan Carter was it.
Evan and Marcus were each a triple shy of the
cycle on Sundays Burger. It was it was Jake. Yes,
so two of the young guys who are new or
you know, Evan's not that new, but new enough, and
they and they were coming around. Right. Simion obviously is

(19:08):
as hot as any hitter in baseball right now, right,
I mean, so there have been signs of this coming,
and then it all came together yesterday.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
Yeah, And I thought the Rangers would have a chance
to maybe take advantage of the Twins rotation this series
as they dealt with their injuries and Simon when Richardson,
they made him work pretty hard. They got and they
finally got really got to him in the in the fifth.
They started to chip away there in the third when
they scored the three runs and then they had the

(19:40):
five runs against him. And I can't remember the name
of the reliever they brought in, but he was. He
was Alkala you talk about wash No that al Kala
was later. No, No, not Daniel kolomb He's all right.
It was the first reliever who who was Maybe he
was no good, but it was just it was just

(20:02):
nice to see. And and you know Carter who hit
the home run, uh yesterday, he had the great catches.
He had like a fantastic all around game.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
Well, and since since we showed a catch a picture
of a catch yesterday, have a of an opposing player,
a divisional player. Let's show the still frame. Look at
that of of of Evan last night. Yeah, I mean,
and again like he it doesn't look like he's going
to catch that, does it? That was a I mean,
that was a big play too, and it was and
it looks like he was like just but I mean,

(20:33):
he had to run for it, he was back to it,
he had to turn around. That's a heck of a catch. Yeah,
and a great pick too, by the way.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
And and I don't I don't think anybody was ever
worried that Evan Carter would not hit. The worry is
his health. Yes, that's the thing, because when he's healthy,
he hits. And so you know, you you hope that
this is a sign of lots and lots of hits
to come.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
These last two games for me as a home we're
in two straight.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Games, and and and the bats are with him are
just good at bats still, you know, even when he
makes it out, they're usually really good at bats. So
if he's feeling good and his body's right, then he
knows he doesn't have to cheat or do anything and
doesn't have to guess at the plate. He can trust
his his instincts and.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
Uh, you know what what is.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Just advanced picture recognition and strike zone judgment and so
if he is going, we said, this is him and
Simeon and Burger are going. But then you saw Josh
Young have a nice game with a with a big
well he had four orbis. We had a big two
out hit. Ye Garcia had the first big hit, the double.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
A couple of doubles in the game for a double
right field.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
That wasn't like in the gap. It was just like
a good line drive down the line. You know when
did you when's the last time you saw a doles
Garcia do that?

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Uh? Kyla Gashioka had five RBIs.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
So the the seven through nine hitters, Yeah, like eleven RBIs,
you know, and you know this offense, every offense is
good or at its best when the bottom of the
lineup is producing. But when they're producing, they're getting on base.
So then then you see the top of the lineup
do something. And you know it was good to see
why at Langford hit a home running Corey Steger get

(22:21):
some hits and and the I guess his The first
out he made was a line drive to right field
at one hundred and something, so you think, you think
that he is again nobody had any concerns about him.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
And yesterday was might have been his get healthy, might
have been the breakout he had the hit, the slam
you know that got caught, and then two walks. Uh so,
you know that's that's rare for Corey Seeger, who's one
of the more aggressive guys up there. But nice to
see him, you know, working the count and taking a

(22:56):
couple of walks there. That was all just fantastic to
And when Boach was asked after the game about that
bottom of the order production, you know, he was saying, look,
I got guys in the bottom of the order right
now who don't belong there, right They're not used to
being there. But that said, he goes, that is a

(23:18):
testament to our depth. That's how deep this team is.
Because if he does shift those guys back up to
a spot higher in the batting order, Jeff, some of
the guys who are higher right now just go take
that seven, eight and nine spot and what you have
then is you have consistency and you have hits throughout
the lineup. Oh, by the way, yesterday the Rangers had

(23:40):
hits throughout the lineup. Let's take a look at what
the starting nine did yesterday. Yep, every single one of
them had at least one hit. Markus Simion one for four.
Why at one for five, but it was a big one.
And and oh and I guess Jake was just one
for five, but everybody else with multiple hit. Six guys

(24:01):
with multiple hits, including the three uh by Evan Carter
three out of four with his second home run in
as many days.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
So and and Berger did not get a hit on
the ball that he hit to Byron Buxton. It was
a line drive and yeah, you know, Buckson jumped and
it hit off his glove and they gave him an error,
a two base error. But that started the fourth Indian rally.
So you know, Berger was putting the ball in play.
Everybody put the ball in play yesterday. And you know,

(24:30):
you look at the strikeout totals, they were down and
it's just, yeah, Lankford did have two hits. Blake Brian'
right because he had to hit off the pitcher. Oh okay,
the position player, you know, And as Ron Washington used
to say, when a position players in the game, you
go get yours, Yes, don't throw away the bat go

(24:51):
and get yours and pad those stats. Yea, and anyway, yeah,
just a just a great d It's.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
That kind of up and down right, asked the baton
they used to say. I think that was the Michael
Young group and Ian Kinsler who kind of coined that phrase.
They're just passing the offensive baton from one guy to
the next. And that's what this team is capable of doing.
And that's one of the it was We've known that
from the beginning of the year, from before the season started,

(25:18):
and it's one of the reasons that everybody expected this
team to be great offensively. It's just been really strange
that the start has been so bad. And of course,
you know, it definitely begs the question, well, is it
too late? One of the reasons that I think them
responding now and and you know, maybe starting this offensive

(25:42):
engine now. One of the reasons it's not too late, Jeff,
I think is that this division is still so winnable, right,
I mean, the Astros and the Merit and the Mariners,
neither one have you know, really established that they're that great, and.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
They're they're both dealing with pitching injuries. And some of
the Mariners guys came back, but now I think one
of them is going to go back on the IL
or is battling with something, you know. The the Astros
just lost a guy not that long ago. So you know,
the Rangers, despite all there was, there are four and

(26:17):
a half games back.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
In the West, right you know, Yeah, everybody's back to
three games.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
Back, yeah, and three and a half in back in
the wild Card. Now, of course, there are a lot
of teams between them and the wild Cards, so I
always try to focus on the division. But there's one
team above five hundred right now. The Mariners are at
five hundred. The Astros are above five hundred. But again,
and then you look at the run differential. Yeah, and John,

(26:42):
I know you're gonna yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
We know a little bit about that from fifteen was
it when the Rangers sixteen? Okay, with sixteen, but the
Rangers are one of two teams in the West with
positive look at that run differentially and again, the Angels
are only a half game ahead of the Rangers right now,
but they're ahead, and look at that a minus fifty

(27:04):
one for them. The Mariners are minus eleven, and then
the Athletics. I mean, that's just that's down there in
the Colorado Rockies Chicago White Sox territory. But the reality
is as poorly as the offense you know, has been playing.
Jeff to have a positive run differential, and a pretty
significant one, I think, first of all, it speaks remarkably

(27:26):
well to the pitching efforts and the fact that the
Rangers pitchers have held the opponent down. It's just that
the Rangers offense couldn't even get above that level to
get those victories.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
The Rockies are minus one ninety nine, are they really?
The White Sox are minus forty nine, So they're better
than the A's and better.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
Than the run differential. And again we learned the hard way.
We learned the importance of that in twenty sixteen when
the Rangers were barely positive I think right.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
Barely record in Baseball and the American League, but barely
had We're barely positive on the run differential. Everyone's, oh, well,
that's gonna get because they won so many one run games.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Anyway, yeah, and then they were I mean, I mean,
you know, now I know We're all excited about it.
The chat's excited and we're excited, but I'm still not.
I'm not convinced.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
How can you? How can you?

Speaker 2 (28:25):
I don't think it's fixed yet. I'd like to see
this for like two weeks. Yeah, you know, maybe three
or four good in a row. Then all right, you
get held to one run. That happens to everybody. And
then but the next thing you go and score five, right,
you know, and bounce back. So this is exciting. This
is pretty exciting potentially, yes, but we gotta and.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
And here's the reality. They had a fifteen run game,
which I had forgotten about. But they had a fifteen
run game against Oakland earlier this year, and I'm sure
that day we were going, Okay, this is it, this
is it. And the only reason I'm not sitting here
going stop it, stop it, tap the brakes, everybody. Is
those previous four that we were talking about, right, those

(29:11):
previous four out of five There was one terrible game
in there, but previous four out of five there were
signs of offensive life. And then this game was the explosion.
So I believe that this could well be the start
of something big. But would I bet money on it.
Not a chance. I mean, we've seen too much struggle

(29:35):
for lack of a better word from this offense this
season to fully believe yet. But it's a start. You
got to start somewhere. And up next we're going to
get to some odds and ends from the game and
from the day, and we'll chat with you more about
things you're saying in our chat. It's all coming up.
It's the DLLs Rangers Podcast and it's time to talk

(30:00):
about the og that would be Empire Today, our favorite
flooring experts, who, as Jeff you know, reminded yesterday, they
have flooring specialists. That's all they do at Empire Today
is sell and you know, figure out how to get

(30:20):
to you flooring products. And again they're not selling hammers
and pesticides and fertilizer. They're selling to They're selling flooring
and that's fantastic. And so they have the best quality,
the best prices, and they have the best technology too
where they can show you what you need in your

(30:42):
room how it would look virtually by the magic of
this great app. So anyway, we encourage you to go
to Empire today dot com, use the code d l
l S and get three hundred and fifty dollars off
the brand new floors that will make your house have
the home field advantag three fifty.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
That's a big number, big big number. With matter of
fifty dollars, you can go buy yourself. I don't know,
probably a lot a lot of bud Light. Yeah, you know,
And and I would guess you could probably get fifteen cases.
I'm gonna I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with
that number. But anyway, let's open that bad boy up. Uh,

(31:22):
bud Light cool, refreshing, nothing beats of cold beer on
a hot day. And uh, you know you're not gonna
pack on a ton of calories with these bad boys,
so you know, don't just stop in one your diet.
Your diet onion is still going to be fine if
you have three to seven.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
And and then you know, but I know a lot
of people like beer and pizza.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
Yeah, I like beer and barbecue. I think that's my
favorite beer combination.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
But bud Light, trust me, their their new ads are
great with post Malone and Shane Shane Gillis who's hysterical.
Bud Light easy to drink and enjoy, enjoy responsibly. Twenty
one years an older Anheiser Bush, but like beer, Saint Louis.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Do you do you watch?

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Have you ever heard of the show Tires on Netflix? No,
it's with the Shane H. Gillis. It's it is so funny.
But he's a country music stuff, right Shane. No, he's
a stand up comedian okay, and he is hysterical that
show is. It's you know, don't watch it with kids,
as my wife and I learned last night. But it's

(32:28):
really good. And so it's on Netflix, and you need to.
You need to start watching Tires Tires. I will now, Uh, mister,
you're right, I can't. I can't even imagine how good.
Because Jeff said, people like beer with pete. He likes
beer with barbecue.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
Here we go. I like beer with pop tarts. It's official.
How many people drink beer with their pop tarts? I do?
Right there? Baby? That pop tart Frosty. You remember the Man,
of course? You remember the movie? Of course.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
After their big blowout party, the next morning, Lewis is
eating a giant bull of cheerios and beer instead of milk.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
So all right, it's it's been done. Now that I've
had it with pop tarts. I may have to try
uh cereal with beer, but that's darn fine and if
and again, I've always been a fan of the beer
and cookies. So beer and frosty doesn't surprise me. It
doesn't surprise me a bit. All right, let's get to this,
sheared Sandler news Jared our good buddy. Ah. It was

(33:39):
on the broadcast last night. He was on pre and
post game. I'm not doing this three game leg of
the road trip. And by the way, just as a
quick thought on that, Eric picks his places that he
likes to go based on location. Into the press box,

(34:01):
so he was telling me he never goes to Washington
anymore because it's not the press box per se. It's
the broadcast booth. I mean, the press box is super
high there. It is, and I think he said on top.
I was just gonna say, I think that's what he
told me. The broadcast booth is actually on top of
the press box there. So he said it's way too high.

(34:21):
Pittsburgh a place that I think everybody would love to
go in general, super high, super high. He's not going
to Pittsburgh. But and I'm not really sure why he
didn't go to Tampa. But for whatever reason. But anyway,
he did join in in Minnesota. And so he's on
the radio broadcast with Matt Hicks. Jared's in the booth

(34:42):
getting and he had done the Rangers Day pregame show
and he was getting ready to do the postgame show.
And here came a foul ball and Jared is by
his computer. He was in the he was with the Riders.
He was in the room. That's right, he was in
the press box right next to the Angers pr representative
that's on the trip to Andrew and yeah, Andrew. And

(35:04):
then he's just doing his work and he says, somebody yelled,
look out, follow ball. So here's Jared, right.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
He got he got under the table. I've never seen
anybody getting so fast. I mean, but I've never seen
anybody get.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
Down like that. Yeah, he got under under the table
really quickly. And of course everything's on TV. Every there's
a camera following everything. So they got it and they
showed it and they made fun of Jared. And so
that's what happens Jared. You know, And look, Jared played

(35:40):
baseball through high school, went to USC and tried to
walk on their program, ultimately stayed with the program in
capacities of you know, bullpen catcher type work and manager
and this type of thing. But it's a good baseball player. Man.
He didn't even try. He just dove for the ground. Yeah,
and now you know it. It is.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
It is hard. I speak from experience. When you're late
in a game and you're working on your story and
you're focused in and maybe you're not watching the game
and all of a sudden you hear look out or
foul incoming or something like that.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
Trying to pick it up is not easy. Yeah. The
old Angels press box used to be at the best
in baseball. Honestly.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
It's a location and you're really low and uh. There's
one game tapping away, tapping away late at night, and
Chris Davis was batting for the Rangers. So this was
nine or ten, and they had like a man about
a three inch ledge railing and tr was sitting next

(36:47):
to me and foul ball. He's like, look out, it
hit It hit the railing. If it hadn't hit the
railinge it would have destroyed my computer. There was another
time at Anaheim and I found out of this later.
It was like tr know me there empty seat, tr,
there's a foul ball hit and it just went perfectly
right between us, and we watch it the whole way,

(37:07):
but none of us. We didn't try to catch it.
Apparently Tom Greeve.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
Made fun of you guys.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
Oh yeah, yeah, he should have. Apparently Tag was not
pleased with our effort.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
No, he should have. I mean, you gotta always make
it try. We just watched it. Not a good point.
And I will say this, Mark Maclamore told me over
the years, don't try to catch those, dude, because I'd
be on the field lot on the field, and so
you know, they come screaming hot at you on the
field in those photo wheels, and Mark was like, don't
try to catch those. And then every time one of

(37:39):
them did, and of course I can't get into my
computer there. For as long as I was doing that job,
I was pretty sure that I was going to die
by a baseball hitting me in the face. I was
pretty sure that was going to be the form of
death on my death certificate. And so anyway, Max says,
don't try to catch him. I would never be in here,

(38:00):
but I so I'd always be watching. But what I
had decided to do, I actually played quite a bit
of tennis, and I had those the big microphone with
the big mic flag, so I was always ready when
it came to me to hit it. And Dave Raymond
made fun of that. But but I'm telling you, and
never quite got close enough. But that's what I would
have done. I would have hit it. Yeah, No, I

(38:21):
like fourhand smash. You know, if the chairs have wheels,
I'm very good at pushing myself out out of the way. Yeah,
so I don't. I don't anyway, when but I should
protect the computer? Yeah, Well, and when an announcer does that,
any broadcaster and anybody with a computer these days, they've
got to answer for it. And last night after the game,

(38:45):
Jared did.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
All right, well, I guess we'll open up the questions.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
What do you have to say about your performance?

Speaker 3 (38:55):
Really not a whole lot to say, right, I mean,
I take full accountability. I was in a position to
make a play and I didn't. And it's gonna be
tough to sleep at night thinking about it, not really
sure what was going through my mind. Not only did
I duck to protect myself and not my computer, which
is far more valuable, but I mean it's what you know,

(39:16):
every broadcaster dreams of a foul ball coming up to
the booth and when the lights are shining the brightest,
I wasn't able to deliver.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
No, no, he didn't deliver. At least he owned up
to it. We've said this many times about young players.
Jared's still a pretty young broadcaster. You got to get
to your locker, and apparently Jared did, went right to
the locker and he was just standing there waiting for
the media.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
Well that's that's good, and those were those were good questions,
they were yeah.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Yeah, Laura was apparently the only person in the gaggle
of media asking questions of Jared. But yeah, pretty funny.
I love that Jared can laugh at himself about it.
And you know, it's fun to prom there will be
more on Rangers game Day today. Uh, and probably during
the broadcast tonight as well. So, uh, that's just a

(40:07):
fun little sidebar. This this sidebar from last night's baseball
not so fun, right, But it definitely has something to
do with what we talked about the other day, that
being that the ABS will be a part of Major
League Baseball next year.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
Yeah, and you know the athletic who athletics really been
on this story they they.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
Ran a poll.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
I guess had some of their writers at various markets
ask players about the ABS and the players aren't for it.

Speaker 1 (40:39):
Are not for it, They're not, no, they I think
they have.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
Some concerns about the accuracy, and because again it's not
one hundred it's not going to be one hundred percent accuracy.
There's a little margin for error I believe in there.
So I think there's some concern about that, that that's lingering.
But I think they're going to come around on it.
But anyway, when when you have Laz Diaz as your umpire,

(41:04):
I think you're gonna want the avs. He was the
umpire and behind the plate last night for the fighting
Podres and the Dodgers. Now, the game ended up being
eleven to one Podres, so I don't know that Laz's awful,
awful game had an incredible impact on it. But if
you can take a look at his from our our

(41:28):
friends at umpire Scorecard, take a look at that seventy
five percent called strike accuracy, and I know that somebody
yesterday in the chat had asked how he did Laz
did in the game. He had during the race series,
the Rangers Race Series and I didn't go back and
look at that because I was just dumbfounded by this
one seventy five percent called strike accuracy. Just look at

(41:51):
all those misses. You know, it's incredible that guys like
this continued to have jobs. Andy Fletcher was had a
plate game last night. Was actually they're Andy pretty good? Yeah,
it was in I think he was in the nineties.
But what a what a nightmare now that I get
I guess the teams always ask about, well, as long

(42:12):
as he's consistent, well ninety consistency. I don't know if
that's that's good enough either, you know, no, I think
he wanted to be a little higher, but yeah, I would.
You know, again, each team is going to get two challenges,
and if they're right, they keep their challenge, right, I mean,
you know, if you have a bad umpire, yeah, and

(42:33):
he's twenty five percent wrong, you're going to have These
games are going to get longer. So might take a minute, Yeah,
might might next year. Might might be a trial by
fire and have to make some tweaks on it, or
or that's my conspiracy. I mentioned it yesterday. You weed
out the really bad ones because they're slowing games down
and they're embarrassing themselves.

Speaker 1 (42:56):
Anyway, did you see the bet last night where C B.
Buckner and cal Raley got into an argument about warm
up pitches? Oh no, yeah, I mean like literally CB's
out there and they're just throwing warm up pitches and
I don't know what he said, nor do we know
what cal Rawley said, but there they were jawing, and

(43:17):
you know, outcomes manager they had to you know, get
him out there before the game because that's you know that.
And so again to the point that we always make
about that none of us pay our hard earned money
to go watch the umpires ump. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (43:32):
And c Bee's terrible, I mean he is. He's one
of the one of the worst. Now that the worst,
Angel Hernandez is gone, he's one of the worst. And
I don't understand why he would get upset about that,
but whatever. Yeah, you know, but another reason to maybe
think about, you know, making him an offer he can't refuse,

(43:54):
like the Angel.

Speaker 1 (43:55):
Sure, yeah, is that what is that? Wellation? Yeah, that
we did with Angel her and as Hey, it's been great.
Here's a nice severance package or retirement package and take
your golden parachute and get the heck out of here.
So anyway, that's some of the odds and ends from
last night's game. Fun a fun night of baseball for
Rangers fans, and we hope you enjoyed it as much

(44:18):
as we did. Let's go for a little winds stream,
I mean, and Boats, by the way, said he didn't
count as a streak in his mind till three. Okay,
I was calling to a streak yesterday. But Boat Twent's three.
Let's go. You know what, they have one six game
win streak already this year. That's right, let's exceed that,
could we? Is that a possibility? Jeff? The road is.

Speaker 2 (44:39):
Hard, but again with these twins, these twins pitchers are
beat up.

Speaker 1 (44:42):
Yep, all right, let's see what happens. We've got more
coming up. It's our clean up segment that's coming next.
It's the DLS Rangers podcast.

Speaker 3 (44:54):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (44:54):
If you guys haven't done it yet, and I know
we keep asking you this or telling you this, ordering
you this. Whatever it is you need to become a diehard,
you can do so at all DLS dot com, slash
join or by scanning that handy dandy QR code on
your screen. Here's what you get. Everything that we write,

(45:15):
you have access to and not just my Rangers content,
but MAVs Stars and the other team, the Cowboys. If
you know, always something going on with these teams. I mean,
the Stars are fired their dame coach, the MAVs may
lose their coach while also getting arguably a player who's
going to be better than Luka Dancik. And then the

(45:36):
Cowboys are the Cowboys, So go ahead and do it
all right, and then you get twenty percent off of
everything we do and you get a free shirt. But
why is that twenty percent important?

Speaker 1 (45:49):
John, Well, it's important because you might have the opportunity
to go to Las Vegas with our Cowboys crew November
the fourteenth through the eight eighteenth. Wouldn't this be a
fantastic trip see a Cowboys game. It's the first time
the Cowboys have played the raid As in Las Vegas
since they move there. It's a beautiful stadium, a cool city.

(46:12):
One of the things I know that they have. Two
of the things I know that they have in Las
Vegas is bud Light and Wendy's. So you could go
there and test my assertion, my claim that bud Light
and pop Tarts go well together. I think Wendy should

(46:32):
start selling bud Light. They should, and you could do
it right there at the Wendy's. In the meantime, it
may take until November for you to prove it to yourself.
But I'm right, the strawberry pop Tart and the bud
Light go well together. Hopefully the Cowboys will be cruising
when they get to Las Vegas. But you know what,
even if they're not, you will have fun with our

(46:54):
crew and you'll get twenty percent off if you're a diehard.
All right, let us do our tiny little cleanup segment
and it starts with you know, we always try to
tell you how much we like the call up stories,
and I know we've shown a few of them. This
one is by far the best. It's the Nationals, you know,

(47:17):
the Washington Nationals, the team the Rangers just finished playing,
and maybe in part because of what the Rangers did
to them over the weekend, they went to the minor
leagues and they made a call up. Here we go.

Speaker 4 (47:32):
They come on in a big dog, have a seat.
I hope you're doing well. Man, Hey, I got some
news for you. I think you're gonna like it. You know,
last year you got called up to trip La did
a really nice job, but we still thought we needed
some work down at the lower levels. We put a
plan in place. You went down, you did your work,

(47:53):
you made some improvements. And the one thing that the
front office notice, Man, you were working your tail off
every single day and you did a nice job coming
back to Triple A this year. But I'm excited to
tell you the front office, the GM, the president, the owners,
they're excited to invite you to NAT's Park for your

(48:14):
call up to the major leagues on June or fourteenth.

Speaker 1 (48:17):
Congratulations reaction just he wagged his tail. I love that.
That's fun. And but you know what, why couldn't we
have had the bat dog I call him up like
last Friday, or we would have been able to watch
the bat Dog and see how I mean, I think

(48:38):
they're serious about that part of it. Yeah, I think
that dog is going to be at Nationals Park retrieving bats. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (48:45):
And in the Nationals they had the President races. I
think they still have him. That was always yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
But you know, you got to get people out of
the park. You know, hopefully it's a bark at the
park night that they're maybe association with let those dogs
that are cooped up in the city get out and
sniff other dog's butts in the ballpark and have a

(49:09):
good time. But the manager there for Rochester, Matt Lacroix,
a former Big leaguer who played for the Twins and
then I think he had a little time with the
Nationals basically built the exact same as he was as
a point. Yeah, yeah, but that's pretty cool and yeah,
and he played it super well. Come on in big Dog,

(49:31):
which again you could see play your tail. Yeah, you away,
you have been working your tail and you can see,
you know, a manager calling a player big dog in
that situation. So pretty funny stuff. I wish that we
would have seen it last week.

Speaker 1 (49:47):
We'll have to keep an eye on on their highlights
and and just see how well the dog does. We'll
we'll review and we'll let you know. Roman Anthony called up.
I meant to talk about this yesterday. I was going
to say, show it, but we can't. So in his
first game with the Red Sox he was over, which
is not surprising, right, but he also man, he whiffed

(50:12):
on a on a rolling ball out there and right field.
You see that, yes, and it went all the way
to the wall, and this is a big strong man,
and he turned and he ran after that ball. I
think it ended up being a triple, not an inside
the parker. But that is not how you want to
begin your major league career. No, it isn't, and you

(50:34):
know it happens. But he got his first hit last
night last night. Yeah, apparently I saw this. It must
be true because it was on TMS Sports. His older
sister is a very attractive young lady, and apparently a
lot of fans caught glimpses of her on the broadcast,
and we're very excited about that. I saw a video

(50:54):
of him greeting family members, and I wondered if that
was the sister or the girlfriend. Of course, the first
person he greeted was mom, then dad, and then the
attractive young woman. Yeah, sister, not girlfriend. Okay, so good. Yeah, man,
they're close. No I'm kidding. No, No, they weren't doing anything.
They weren't doing anything inappropriate at all. But anyway, I

(51:19):
always I always like to see that. A nice debut
for a kid like him. Show, Hey, Otani is apparently
a little bit ahead of schedule. On the Pitching Front show,
the thought always was he would not throw his first
you know, be back on a major league mound and
throw his first game for the LA Dodgers since he

(51:41):
was out all last year as a pitcher. Thought was
it wouldn't be until after the All Star Break. Okay,
but he's up to forty four pitches against hitters in
these live VP sessions and so forth, and they're thinking
that maybe, just maybe he gets a start or two
before the before the break. And when asked about it,

(52:04):
Dave Roberts said, I would say that the the likelihood
of that is definitely north of zero. And he said,
I know, like what point zero zero? One? No, And
he said it's very tempting. And the reason it's tempting
not only because it's so tawanni, but yet their pitching
staff once again has been decimated with injury.

Speaker 2 (52:27):
Yeah. The guy at Steve who works who works behind
the counter at Orange Theory, Uh huh, big Dodgers guy.
So he keeps asking me why do the Dodgers have
all these pitching injuries? Today he was ready to get
rid of the pitching coach who's Mark Pryor, who knows
a thing or two about injuries. But I said, well,

(52:48):
they really probably need to change the training and conditioning
and strength guys, because you know, there's got to be
something wrong because this isn't just this year. It's like
the last three years. These guys have been plagued and
plagued by injuries. So anyway, Steve's concerned, and Otani would
definitely help with that. I do wonder though, if they're

(53:10):
gonna send him out on a rehabs assignment. I would really,
I would really think that that's got to happen.

Speaker 1 (53:19):
You just don't.

Speaker 2 (53:20):
You just don't get the same thing from live BP
against your own teammates, agreed, So I would. I would
assume that he's going to get out there and uh,
even if it's going out to wherever their A ball
team is somewhere in the California League, right, which is
basically probably been a drive, probably easy drive to get
to get him there to do that, just even if

(53:41):
it's that facing hitters and and uh, pitching in front
of fans and all that stuff, having an umpire instead
of the track man, you know, just get out there
and experience it. I would just think it has to happen.

Speaker 1 (53:55):
It does seem I mean, because it's it's gonna be
close to two years between major league pitches, right, right,
I mean it was I think it was kind of
late in the last year with the Angels, right that
he like August August, Yeah, so, but still we're damn
near to July here, so uh that's a good point. Yeah,
there you go. So anyway, that'll be you know, a

(54:17):
month or they're about shy of two years without pitching
on him mound. The amazing thing is how well he
performed in every other aspect of the game despite the
fact that well, I say, you know, hitting, but but
still well.

Speaker 2 (54:31):
And you know now that he's back doing pretty heavy
pitching things. Yeah, he's he was just on a tear
the last two weeks. Yeah, home runs left and right.
So he's somehow able to do it. So it hasn't
affected him to date. But you know, once he starts
actually pitching, well let's see then too. But he is really,

(54:54):
I mean truly one of the most amazing stories, maybe
the most amazing story in the history of the long
storied history of this great game. Anyway, keep an eye
on him. Have you heard about this Kenny Sirwa He's
a pitcher in the minor leagues, of the Detroit Tigers.
I think he's a double A for the Tigers. Throws

(55:17):
a knuckleball. Oh, and there's not many of those left,
you know. Of course, those of us who are around
in the late eighties and nineties, we remember Charlie Huff's knuckleball,
and we remember the great story that Jim Sunberg tells
where Sonny was asked, so.

Speaker 1 (55:35):
Gosh, how do you catch a knuckleball? And Sonny said, well,
I usually just wait until it stops rolling and then
go pick it up up, because you can't catch a knuckleball.
It's here, it's there, it's everywhere. I just wait till
it stops rolling and then I go pick it up.
But again, knuckleball, you know, I looked it up. I
don't know if you know Google is writer or AI

(55:57):
or whoever gave me the answer, But knuckleballs some average
somewhere at the major league level, somewhere between sixty and
sixty five miles an hour. Yeah, this kid's throwing eighty
eight mile an hour knuckleballs. That's crazy. And and said,
by the way, and said, I know my knuckleball is
really moving well when the catcher can't catch it. And

(56:21):
they were flinging off of his up the catcher's glove
yesterday when he was throwing eighty eight miles an hour.
An eighty eight mile an hour knuckleball, Jeff, it's damn
near unhittable. That's almost a fastball at the Major League.
So it seemed like ari A. Dickey threw a hard knuckleball,
but not that hard. No, like Wakefield and Tom Candyatti

(56:44):
and Steve Sparks. Charlie. Yeah, Charlie, they really just floated
him in. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (56:50):
I think a butterfly might land on him. But that's
pretty cool. Yeah, And Henry my Son really wants to
learn how to throw a knuckleball. Really he Beasley throws
a hell of a knuckleball, does he He does?

Speaker 1 (57:02):
He does?

Speaker 2 (57:04):
And you know, these guys can pitch all the time,
and if bees could get it perfected, I'd say, you know,
let's give it a look.

Speaker 1 (57:11):
Why not? Absolutely sure. Yeah, that's fantastic. And yeah, I
mean that's why. It's one of the reasons Charlie Huff
pitched and till he was at an advanced age. He was,
dang there Nolan's age when they pitched together, and he
would you know, Charlie Charlie is one of the last
guys I remember smoking in the clubhouse and Charlie had

(57:33):
get in that clubhouse after a game and he'd line
up life one up and he'd sit right there. And
if you, I God, if you wanted to go talk
to Charlie after a game, Jeff, you're getting second and smoke.
So yeah, whatever, Yeah, it's all good. So anyway, there's
a knuckleballer out there. Let's clean this up a little bit. Yeah,
Blake's that he used to love watching Wakefield and why not.

(57:55):
It's fun to watch uh pitchers baffle hitters that much,
no doubt about that. So anything else we got to
look at here? Did m m hmmun last night.

Speaker 4 (58:18):
Run?

Speaker 1 (58:20):
Uh so pretty pretty good? Yeah, pretty good.

Speaker 5 (58:23):
Stuff last night for uh caught was getting called.

Speaker 1 (58:34):
Patrick Murphy is back. Oh yeah really well until last night.

Speaker 5 (58:41):
But the Rangers are not stretching them out to the start.
They are trying to get him maybe the two or
three and maybe but right now, you know what, hey,
what awful times.

Speaker 1 (58:56):
The team Yet what is growing there? You go? Now
you know all about Patrick Murphy's road to getting back
to the major league level. That's going to do it?

(59:18):
For us. We appreciate you very much. Tomorrow we are
on after we're basically kind of wrapping up two games tomorrow,
Tonight's and tomorrow's we're on, you know, whenever the game
ends Tomorrow afternoon, it's getaway day in Minnesota. Rangers will
finally head home after this nine game, ten day, three
city odyssey, and we'll be there for the final one

(59:39):
of those post game tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (59:41):
My mic is not Cat's fault. I had accidentally pushed
on the the rope a little hard. Oh okay, So
I was just giving a Patrick Murphy update. He's back
two to three Indians. There you go, there you go.
All right, we'll talk to you tomorrow. We we look
forward to that and we'll talk to you then on
the DLLs Rangers podcast.

Speaker 1 (01:00:01):
