Now to wrap up this home.

Stand, I'm Abbie Jones, where are joined with Jeff Wilson.
Little a spot start for me today, Wishing John Radagan
a speedy recovery, but Jeff, great to be with you.
Great to have you back from vacation and great for
this Rangers home stamp.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
Yeah. I was afraid that my return might jinx them,
but it turns out that they're they don't believe in
jinxess as nobody should. They're playing really, really well. I
followed as much as I could from Idaho and parts
of the Northwest. There just playing great baseball. And what
a great amount of great timing for all of this

(01:36):
to come together, because you know, two weeks ago today
they finished the first half they wanted at Houston and
had a little momentum and you're kind of wondering, all right,
but there's still below five hundred. They come out with
the Tigers. Could they buy? Could they get in position
to be buyers? Well, they've absolutely done that. There's no
question that they are going to be buying this week

(02:01):
at the trade deadline. They did so with back to
back sweeps, an eight and one home sand could have
been nined and oh, you know, honestly, but gosh, this
is what everybody's been waiting for, and it's and it's here.
So yeah, this is this is what everybody's waiting for.

Speaker 6 (02:20):
Yeah, Josh Schmid said today in the postgame interview with
Laura that this is what everyone thought that this offense
was capable of when the season started, But this is
kind of the first time that you're seeing it click. Uh.
You saw a little bit of the the og lineup,
the intended lineup today. I mean, this is a lineup
that everyone was looking to be the Rangers starting lineup

(02:43):
for the season. It's only the fourth time this season
that Bruce Bochi has been able to play all of
these marquee guys together on the diamond at once. So
you are happy to see that the product that they
originally bought in two works. It just it took this
first half, you know, for it to kind of get going,
and then the second half it started to click.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
Yeah, you know, if if you want to go all
the way back doping day, Evan Carter was a triple A,
you know, and and you know, Kevin Kolar was was
with the team, and some things have definitely changed. You know,
John Peterson was out. He came back today. Kind of
holding my breath on that one, but yeah, you're absolutely right.

(03:25):
And I think when they started spring training they envisioned
Evan Carter in the lineup and they envisioned this. Now
it's not the order they probably envisioned. You know, I
think that they didn't think Marcus Siemi would be their
clean up hitter. But things have worked or number three
or where every setting, things have worked out, whatever it is.

(03:46):
And and this is a testament to the adage, and
it's not an adage because it's true. Baseball is a
long season, and you have one hundred and sixty two
games to get things figure and the Rangers still have
a long way to go. You know, they still have
fifty six games ago, and a lot can happen in
fifty six games. But over these past nine games, if

(04:09):
you if you're looking at it, just at this home stand,
if you want to go back to July the eighth,
the Rangers are twelve and three, and that's the best
record in the majors. Things can happen that fast, and
you need some help along the way. The A's are
providing it this weekend with with what they're doing to
the Astros. The Angels are being the Mariners right now,
and if that score holds, the Rangers are gonna be

(04:31):
tied for the third wildcard spot, all right, they are.
They are in a playoff spot. Now they have to
hold it, and of course they want to improve upon it.
They don't want to just be the wildcard team. They're
gonna they've got a chance to win the division, they
really do. You know, the askers are dealing with injuries.
They probably played above their skis there for a while

(04:52):
and so I think it's all just kind of leveling now.
And that's what happens over the course of a long season. So,
you know, the Rangers haven't won anything yet. I don't
nobody should be planning any tick or tape parades at
this point, but they have suddenly put themselves in position
that a lot of US chatters, you and me had

(05:13):
doubts that they could do based on the first ninety
seven games of evidence. But they've done it, and not
that they have it's time to It's time for the
front office to do some things and get the players
that are needed in here this week and and move forward,
because you know, they have the Angels and the Mariners

(05:35):
on this next road trip, they come home to the
Yankees and the Phillies. Maybe they're going to catch the
Yankees at the right time, but you know, these are
these are a tough two weeks ahead, and just as
just as a lot of things happened in the past
two weeks, a lot of things can happen in these
next two weeks. So they need to come out and
play well and keep it going and realize that it's
only just begun. They still have a lot to do.

Speaker 6 (05:57):
Right and we're going to get into a little bit
of the traite dead and I see all of those
questions in the chat. Thanks to the Championship games for this,
nod Astros were outscored thirty two to seven by the
A's in that four game sweep, So that goes back
to the point of the Al West Rangers really having
a chance there. Did you go down to talk to

(06:18):
Boach post game?

Speaker 5 (06:20):
Yeah, yeah, and you know, he's obviously pleased his punch
and you know, he's a little more forthcoming than the
players were. You know, he said that they knew going
into the second half that they had to play well
because the trade deadline was looming, and we talked to
Corey Seeger about it and he didn't really buy into that.

(06:40):
He just said, now we just finally started playing. Well,
maybe that's it, but the fact of the matter is
that the Rangers were on the fence. They very easily
could have been sellers at the deadline if this thing
had gone the wrong way. We were all lining up
guys who would be trade possibilities. A lot of a

(07:00):
lot of people thought that John Gray was brought back
to showcase and for the deadline, and you know, and
I guess that's still a possibility given the Rangers situation
with the luxury tax. But John Gray is a hell
of a reliever, you know, and this team needs to
add bullpen help. And if you can have John Gray
in there going multiple innings a few times a week,

(07:21):
hitting ninety seven, you know, that's a huge upgrade, right there.
A dol Scarcia, another guy who has a big salary.
He's uncertain going forward after this season. Rangers don't win
the game yesterday without a Doulas Garcia, and so it's
it's it would be hard to trade those guys, I think.

(07:42):
So they're gonna have to, but they're gonna have to
find something to do if they want to add a
high end closer, and several of them have a chance
to be available. There are no Josh Haders out there
who are making nineteen million dollars a year. So that's comforting.
But still the rains are so tight to the luxury
text that they're going to have to do some maneuvering.

(08:03):
I think, uh, maybe it's offloading some some you know, rookies,
some prospects who are on the forty man roster. Not
I won't save you a ton of money there, but
it'll save you some. It'll also you know, free up
forty man spots for the players you do get, and
then you know, when eventually Tyler Mallley and Josh Sports

(08:24):
come off the sixty da il, you'll need.

Speaker 6 (08:35):
We may have a bit of a Wi Fi problem
for Jeff, let's see, trying to figure out if Jeff
is still for anyone else. Let me know on chat

(09:00):
if Jeff is still for anyone else, or if this.

Speaker 7 (09:03):
Is just my computer being slow.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
All right, so Jeff is going to try to reconnect
on Wi Fi.

Speaker 7 (09:12):
But those are all really valid points that he's making.

Speaker 6 (09:16):
We were kind of talking to Bruce Bochi during pregame
before the series started. How much do guys pay attention
to the trade deadline? Because everyone in baseball loves the
rumor meal. They love to, you know, speculate on who's
going where. As a player, though you don't really pay
that much attention to it. You are paid to play

(09:38):
and go out there and do what they're knowing that
you can do. So, you know, you obviously want to
try Jeff's on his way back. You obviously want to
try to put yourself in a good position, But the
Rangers want to win together. My point, Jeff, I think
people want to make a correlation about the Rangers starting
to click ever since Kevin Pullar's comments.

Speaker 5 (09:59):
What you think about that, I don't. I don't buy
into that. I think that they view Kevin Plar as
a guy who had it didn't work out for him,
And they've been around this team a lot longer than
core than Kevin Polar has, you know, and what he said,

(10:20):
even you know, Chris Young kind of brush it off.
Bruce Bochi brushed it off. He was basically talking about
Corey Seeger, and everybody knows that Corey Seeger does his
own thing anyway. Corey, by the way, is in the
clubhouse at times. He said, you know, he does dinners
and things with his teammates and all of that. You know,
I think the clubhouse is not any different than it
was in twenty twenty three, to be perfectly honest with.

Speaker 7 (10:42):
You, which Kevin Plor wasn't there, so he wouldn't know
exactly exactly.

Speaker 5 (10:45):
So I think it's you know, and then Kevin Plark.
Keep in mind, this guy was hurt and didn't make
a road trip with him and then he got DFA.
So I don't buy into that. I know that there's
some some noise out there that Mike Maddock sparked the
team by throwing his gum against the wall, and Anaheim
I talked to Mike about that, and he said, he

(11:07):
kind of looked at me, like you crazy. He started
laughing and he said, I wish it was that easy.
He didn't. He didn't, you know, he didn't cuss anybody
out or throw anything. He just threw his gum. And
I doubt that. I doubt that most of the teams
saw it, to be honest with you, I just think that,
you know, baseball's baseball, and these things will work themselves
out or they won't. And the Rangers have figured out

(11:28):
a way to make it all work. And you know,
the pitching has been the savior all season long when
the offense was was sputtering the pitching did just enough
for this team to keep its head basically at at
water level and you know, keep the team from drowning.
And now the bats have woken up and and todah
here they are. So I don't I don't buy into

(11:50):
any of that. I don't think, you know, there's not
a you know, picture of Kevin Pillard's head with a
bullseye on it or anything like that in the clubhouse.
Teams just don't do that, you know. I don't know
if this is the football mentality or you know, the
Major League where they have the owner their skimpy little
dress and they keep tearing off a piece of it

(12:11):
after each game that they win. I don't think there's
any of that, all right. I just think that this
is those are that's happenstance and not at all a
part of what has happened here in the last few weeks.

Speaker 7 (12:25):
Isn't it funny though?

Speaker 6 (12:26):
How like baseball fans like want something to cling to,
like they always want third flu, you know, or the
last time Shakira's in the house, things like that.

Speaker 7 (12:36):
But no, something's clearly working for this team.

Speaker 6 (12:39):
They were three hundred from the plate today, around eight
hundred ops, five walks, seven left on base, so a
few missed opportunities. But Josh Smith player of the game,
three for four with that home run as well, and then.

Speaker 7 (12:55):
Jeff touched on it a bit.

Speaker 6 (12:56):
Jack Lder great starting pitching today. Six innings, two hit,
one earned run, seven k's, three walks. Jack has consistently
been good for this ball club, and we've kind of
used the word pleasant surprise because I think heading into
this season, people were honestly probably a little more sold

(13:19):
on Rocker than Kamar, I mean, Rocker than Lighter. But
Jack's done a fantastic job the season. He matched a
career high of seven strikeouts and back to back starts.
When we talked to him during his previous start, he
said that he's not chasing strikeouts, that it's kind of
just you get when you pitch an efficient ballgame. And

(13:39):
that's really what's been the thing for me when I
watched Jack.

Speaker 7 (13:43):
He's pitching very efficiently.

Speaker 6 (13:44):
His pitch count stays pretty low and pretty controlled throughout
these innings.

Speaker 5 (13:49):
Yeah, he's had a couple sneakers and some inconsistent, inconsistent times.
I mean, his last that start at Pittsburgh wasn't great.
For instance, and the one before that against Kansas City
also not not great, but of late it's it's been
a little better, you know, and you know, and I

(14:09):
think a lot of it. I think he learned a
lot from today. You know, he he gets the three
to nothing lead and he goes out and he walks
the first two hitters and one of them ends up scoring.
I think that, you know, that meeting that Jonahim had
with him Corey Seeger, Yeah, you need to trust your stuff,
and as you know, the last thing you want to do,
and Jack admitted this afterward, is walk anybody after you're

(14:33):
just handed this three run, you know, cushion. So I
think after that, you know, the lead went to five
to one and an eighth to one, and he was
really good. I think that, you know, he learned from
this one. You know, it's easy to pitch when you're
up eight to one and you're supposed to attack hitters,
so why not do it when it's two to one?
And I think that he saw that his stuff plays

(14:53):
when he's on the attack. He doesn't have to get
fancy and cute and work around the edges. His stuff
is that good. It plays well on the strike zone.
So go ahead and do it. So you know, his
next start will be against the Mariners in Seattle. The
Mariners got him pretty good earlier in the year. In
a start here, I want to see, you know, if

(15:13):
it's a close game, what he does, you know, and
no need to dance, you know, it's good enough. Go
out there and make him put the ball in play.
If his sinker's working, and his change up are working,
and a slider, if those three or two of those
three are working, he's going to be in pretty good shape.
But for him, it starts at the fastball, and if
he's commanding that, you know he's going to have a

(15:35):
good day.

Speaker 7 (15:36):
Yeah, that is definitely true.

Speaker 6 (15:39):
All right, we are going to take a quick break
and then we are going to continue talking about this
homestand maybe preview the upcoming road trip that the Rangers
are about to take facing a few Al West Division opponents.

Speaker 7 (15:51):
To stick with.

Speaker 5 (15:52):
Us, But first we're going to talk about branded bills.
And you know, I've seen Brandon bills on like my
Instagram feed and stuff like that, and gosh, they're great hats.
I have one. It's a TCU hat that my wife
has stolen from me. So I'm not able to wear

(16:13):
it all the time. But this is the place to
go for hats, whether you need snapbacks or truckers, fitteds,
t shirts, even beanies which I've never called beanie, I
always call them stocking caps. Branded Bills is the place

they are kind of the easiest thing to lose. Jeff,
on your trip in Idaho, I imagine you couldn't used
a pair of sunglasses.

Speaker 7 (17:39):
Did you bring your I did?

Speaker 5 (17:41):
I did not. I gave my shade your raise to
my brother in law who was on the trip, because yeah,
I'm pretty sure he did, because you know, I need
prescription sunglasses. But he went ahead and warm on the
lake and when we played golf, and they're a high
quality eyed.

Speaker 6 (18:01):
Yeah, well, go ahead and check out shady rais dot
com music code d l LS thirty five thirty five

Speaker 7 (18:09):
But what did you just call a.

Speaker 5 (18:11):
Beanie a stocking cap?

Speaker 7 (18:15):
Is that a Colorado thing?

Speaker 5 (18:17):
I don't know, it's a Wilson thing. That's just I mean,
I grew up in Colorado and they were always called
stocking caps. I've heard it called toboggins, which I've always
thought was a different style of stocking cap that had
the the ear flaps that go down and you tie
it around your chin. I always thought those were to Boggins.
But I've always been a I've always been a stocking
cap person.

Speaker 7 (18:38):
I've never heard that in my entire life.

Speaker 5 (18:42):
True.

Speaker 7 (18:43):
Have you heard of Bob Ross? Though? That is the question,
of course. Okay, rats did not know who he was?

Speaker 5 (18:49):
Really?

Speaker 6 (18:50):
Yeah, Ross's yeah, we uh, we were kind of talking
about that.

Speaker 7 (18:55):
But all right, So the Rangers finish this.

Speaker 6 (18:57):
I mean, what were your realistic expectations of what they
could do on this home stand?

Speaker 7 (19:03):
Because I feel like I feel like obviously they they
did better than anybody could have imagined.

Speaker 5 (19:10):
I think they could have won every series. I think
they could have gone six and three, and I think
that would have been good enough. I think I think
five and four would have been good enough to convince
the Rangers to make a push this week at the deadline.
You know, But what they did, I don't. I don't
know that any of them expected it, and but but

(19:33):
it happened. It's happened. But I thought winning every series
was was doable. I thought that, you know, winning the
second game against you know, the first two against the
Tigers was huge, you because you knew you had schoobl
on the third game and you also had of all
these back tightened up and he got scratched, and the

(19:54):
Rangers still could have won that game, you know. And
then you just saw them, you know, beat two teams
that aren't very good, you know. I mean, the A's
have a lot of young talent, okay, the Braves have
a lot of veteran talent. Okay, but they had the
Braves have no pitching, you know, all their pitchers are hurt,

(20:14):
you know, and the Rangers miss Chris Saale. Fortunately, the
A's just they don't have a lot of a ton
of pitching, and they had JP Sears, who is you know,
oddly the Rangers like kryptonite. But they found a way
to win that game. So so, you know, they did
some things that they needed to do. They beat some
left handed pitchers Series among them. So it was it

(20:39):
was just good. They're doing all the things that people
thought they would do. You know, they're and and you're
not gonna you're not gonna win every game six to
one or eight to one like today's score. You're gonna
have to win some three to two games and some
two to one games and figure out how to do that. Well,
Veteran teams know how to win close games, and the
Rangers I think they might have needed a course correction.

(21:01):
You know, I think Brett Boone's messaging has sunk in,
you know, actually watching the game and doing the game
to ask you to do instead of what you're hitting
your personal hitting coach tells you to do. You know,
game situation are so important, and to be a complete
hitter you have to be able to excel in those
facets too, and be willing to recognize that. You know,

(21:23):
while it might not be good for your batting average
and model, you may take a swing that you're you're
hitting coach doesn't like if it gets the runners a
second third, Hey, you've done a job that your team's
going to appreciate. That's going to help your team win
rather than striking out or popping out or whatever it is.
So I think some of that is involved in this
offensive turnaround. But everybody thought the Rangers had wasted it,

(21:47):
you know, all this wonderful pitching in the first half,
which they did. But the pitching is still there, and
now the offense is finally really really Since that second
game at Baltimore, so it would have been June twenty fourth,
since that point, the Rangers have had one of the
best offenses in baseball. They're now second in the American
League and run differential. All right, I don't know that

(22:07):
a lot of people had that happening so quickly, so suddenly. So, yeah,
this offense is capable, and now that it's going, this
team is going to be pretty good.

Speaker 6 (22:19):
And you mentioned that Baltimore series, that's kind of where
Corey Seeger started to streak. He continues his on base
street Today's twenty seven games. Over those twenty seven games,
this is since June twenty fifth, he's hitting three thirty
three with thirty two hits, eight home runs, twenty two
RBI and twenty runs scored. So it goes without saying
that when Corey secret clicks that this offense kind of

(22:42):
follows suit.

Speaker 7 (22:43):
But you've been in the clubhouse now today, what is
the vibe like is are these guys?

Speaker 6 (22:48):
Can you tell a difference from the first half to
right now and where they're at on this Homestand.

Speaker 5 (22:54):
Yeah, I think, yeah they are. And you know, the
interviews are a little lighter, more more joke and you know,
and and you know it's louder because they're happy and
they're winning. They've got their music playing. And yes, there
there's definitely a vibe shift. I think there's a confidence
level that that comes along with that too. And and

(23:17):
you know, it's amazing. These guys are the best of
the best, the best players in the world. And and
but confidence is still a huge factor for them. And
when they don't have confidence, just like any of us,
they're they're not going to perform as well. But they
know now that you know, if they don't get to
hit the guy behind him, Mike, uh, they can they

(23:38):
can trust the guy behind him to do something right,
you know. And I think the the thing that has
impressed me the most about Seeger is his willingness to
take the walks.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Now.

Speaker 5 (23:48):
I know he's getting walked intentionally quite a bit, and
maybe guys are pitching around him, but he's not giving
into him and chasing. He's getting his hits when the
pitch is there. But you know this this on Bass
Street be he has had some hitless games. But when
when Corey Seeger is getting on base, when they're making
their choice to pitch to let's say Simeon instead of Seeger,

(24:12):
you know, Simeon. Since the end of May has has
made teams pay more often than not. I know we
didn't have a great homestand you know, outside of winning
yesterday's game, but you know, he he's he's he's tough
when he's good, and when he and Seger are are clicking,
this offense clicks pretty well too. But the bottom of
the order has to do some things too, And I

(24:34):
think with you know, you saw he saw Langford get
a double today and Friday big hits. Josh Young has
looked pretty good since his returns from Triple A. Jonah
Hin's been good. He's super hot and super cold, but
right now he's he's on a little bit of a heater.
So when the bottom of the lineup's getting on base,
for these guys, they're interesting to score a lot of runs.

Speaker 7 (24:57):
You mentioned Jock Peterson back in the lineup today.

Speaker 6 (24:59):
Did you talked to him pregame or did Bruce Pochi
have anything to say about his return.

Speaker 5 (25:03):
Well, we talked to Jock yesterday and I think he
was pretty happy with where he was at the time
of the injury. He felt like things were starting to
come around. A couple of weeks of good of better results.
You know, there was a stretch there where he was
walking a lot and getting some hits. He said he
didn't work on any real swing adjustments during his downtime,

(25:27):
which kind of raised a red flag with me. But
and it also he only had two rehab games. I
know he saw a lot of live VP leading up
to the rehab assignment, but I think I would have
kept him out there a little while longer. You know,
it's not like there was a pressing need for him
to return, but it is what it is. He's back.

(25:50):
He put the ball in play a couple of times
a day, didn't sniff, didn't sniff a hit, I don't think.
But this is this is a guy who's supposed to
do some things, right. I mean, he he was signed
for a lot of money to be in the middle
of the lineup and to hit home runs and to
drive runs in against right handers, and so it's time

(26:11):
for him to do that. But you still look at
the numbers. It's a one twenty seven batting average and
a four two ops. All right, that's not going to
cut it. And it can't be that bad going forward.
You know, it has to get better. You think there's
no way it could get any worse. But I wouldn't.
I wouldn't give him a huge leash, you know it

(26:33):
maybe a couple of weeks. And if after a couple
of weeks it's it's looking like it did before he
was hurt, then I think the Rangers are going to
have to have some you know, conversations with him or
some discussions internally and try to figure out the best
way to go about it. But you know you at
this point, you know you you through your you through

(26:54):
your faith if you're a Rangers fan or the Rangers himself.
You threw your faith into what's on the back of
market Simeon's baseball card and Corey Seeger's card, and uh,
you know all these guys and look at their career
numbers and what they've done. Right now, you got to
do the same thing with Peterson and hope that his
second half is much much better. Even if he bats

(27:17):
let's say two forty, that's one hundred points better than
he was playing the first half, you know, and you
figured there'd be some home runs in there, so just
kind of have to wait and see them. Unfortunately, and
and it's at a it's at a big stretch these
next two weeks. We just talked about the homestand and ended.
Though the season's not over and it gets it gets
kind of tough here with the Angels Mariners on the

(27:39):
road and then the Yankees and the Phillies at home.

Speaker 7 (27:42):
We've got a question.

Speaker 6 (27:43):
Do you think that the Rangers will try to offload
Burger to a contender?

Speaker 5 (27:48):
No, I don't. Jake Berger is under financial club club
financial control for the next four years. I just don't
see any value in doing that. They got him to
be their first baseman going forward, and you know it
hasn't worked out this year. He's been hurt multiple times.

(28:10):
But I don't think that you're gonna see Jake Berger
traded and it wouldn't provide a ton of salary relief anyway.
And I don't know, I think you want Jake Burger
playing first base. I like Josh Smith, but I'd rather
have Jake Berger play first base. And I definitely don't
want Jock Peterson playing first base. Yeah, and after yesterday,

(28:32):
I'm not sure I want Rowdy to Les playing first
base either, So you know I would I would not.
I would not trade Berger, who who by the way,
is probably looking at that Philly series to come back.

Speaker 6 (28:45):
All right, So we've got three up against the Angel
and then four against the Mariners, like Jack mentioned, and
then back home for Yankees and then Philly. So what
about the aos vision opponent of these next few days.
I mean, this is the Rangers can gain a lot
of room and the standings here next week.

Speaker 5 (29:06):
They can, and they've kind of put a bit of
a cushion between themselves and the Angels. You know, and
they just played the Angels there seemed like well it
was at the you know, just a few weeks ago,
it was earlier. There's a month and uh, w went
to what was it two and two, could have won
all four games, made some mistakes, lost, lost Layton games.

Speaker 7 (29:33):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (29:33):
You know, the Angels aren't sure who's gonna start tomorrow.
They might start Jack Ohanowitz again, who the Rangers tattooed
in the finale of that series.

Speaker 7 (29:45):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (29:45):
And really that fed into the ast series and you know, hey,
maybe that's where it all started. But they have a
chance here to to really uh you know, stamp out
the Angels and then the Mariners. It's a four game
series out of place where the Rangers just don't play
real well. This is a really big series. I think Uh,

(30:05):
you know, it's gonna be interesting in the Mariners. We
know they're always active at the trade deadline. Uh, they've
been linked to you Henniosarez, their former third baseman who's
since gone to Arizona and turned into this great hitter.
They want to get some bullpen help. They already have
a good bullpen. So you know, this is a big

(30:27):
series for the Rangers, it really is. And and it's
the last I think it's the last time they played
the Mariners too, So you know, after this, if the
Mariners get ahead of them, they're gonna need some help
from other teams to to get to get over that hump.
But it's yeah, it's a big trip. And then you

(30:49):
come home. You don't get any breathers. You know, Aaron
Judge is hurt. Mace May should still be on the
I L when the Raiders get back. And then the Phillies, gosh,
Villies are so good. And those teams that are going
to be active at the deadline. The Yankees have already
made a move with Ryan McMahon. The Phillies want to add,
so you know, it's it's a it's a rough little

(31:11):
stretch here, and and you know the Rangers knew that
coming in the second half. Their schedule, Uh, second half schedules,
I think the second hardest either in the league or
in baseball, you know, but but teams fluctuate, records go
up and down. Honestly, you know, the Rangers right now
are are a game behind I'm sorry, game and a

(31:32):
half behind the Yankees in the in the in the
wild card standards. I mean, that's that's just right there.
And the Yankees are really hurting right now. And Judge
not being available is a huge deal obviously, so we'll
see what happens there. But this is a this is
some interesting, interesting times. But again, Rangers have to feel

(31:53):
great right now. They have to feel like they can
beat anybody.

Speaker 6 (31:56):
They do because they're six games over five hundred four
season best, consecutive series wins, two sweeps, six game win streak,
eight and one on the homestand strong start to the
second half.

Speaker 7 (32:07):
We are going to be talking the trade deadline.

Speaker 6 (32:09):
After this message, starting it out with game time, Jeff,
you know that I lived downtown, so I can check
out and kind of see traffic, and something's got.

Speaker 7 (32:25):
To be going on at the AAC.

Speaker 6 (32:27):
So last night there was an event there was more
traffic than usual for this time of year, so I said,
I'm gonna look up the schedule to see what's going on.

Speaker 7 (32:36):
There was a concert. I looked into it.

Speaker 6 (32:38):
I didn't really want to go, but if I did
want to go, I would have used game Time to
get some last minute tickets because you can purchase them
day of. You can purchase them hours of even thirty
minutes before.

Speaker 7 (32:52):
Use game Time.

Speaker 6 (32:53):
You can check out your seat before you buy it,
so that you know that you're going to get an
ideal seat.

Speaker 7 (32:58):
And there's no hidden fees.

Speaker 6 (32:59):
I've used other websites and then the ticket's not bad,
but then you go to pay and then it's like
three hundred dollars in additional fees. So there's no second
guessing here. Game Time makes getting tickets even easier and faster.

Speaker 7 (33:13):
On the Game Time.

Speaker 6 (33:14):
App actually go down the closer that it gets to
the event, so they have last minute deals that you
do not want to miss.

Speaker 7 (33:21):
So go to game Time.

Speaker 6 (33:22):
You can download the app and you can get twenty
dollars off of your first purchase using Movi code d lls.

Speaker 5 (33:30):
That same code, we'll get you ten percent off at
Rugged Road where there are also no hidden fees. Rugged
Road is our favorite cooler brand because they're lightweight, they're durable,
and they're going to keep your stuff cold from because
seven days and you know, we were out on vacation
Airbnb in it and going out to golf and fish

(33:54):
and all this stuff, and we just had these little
styrofoam coolers and I was thinking, man, advantageous right now
if we had us our Rugged Road and I'm sure
they could handle the baggage stuff because they're so durable.
So anyway, go to Rugged Road outdoors dot com, use
the code DLS. You'll get ten percent off your first
order and you're not going to regret it.

Speaker 6 (34:16):
All Right, it is time to talk about trade deadline
is upon us. We've kind of mentioned it a little
bit now. Before the All Star break, this would have been.

Speaker 7 (34:28):
A different conversation. How much has.

Speaker 6 (34:32):
Really changed and maybe talk to viewers through you know
what what this homestand did in terms of looking at
this club and you know, contenders and and later in
the season.

Speaker 5 (34:47):
Yeah, you know, if I think you can kind of
if you follow you know, baseball, you can you can
kind of get a temperature by the stories you've been
reading you know, the Rangers could trade this guy and
this guy. They could be sellers. Da da dad. I
don't see that anymore. And and and you know, talking

(35:07):
to a couple of front office guys, the phones have
stopped ringing. It's the Rangers who are making the calls
about acquiring players instead of teams calling them gauging. You
know how how much interest the Rangers are gonna have
in trading away. So uh so that's one way to
do it. And then you just look at the standings.
I mean, my god, it's it's Rangers are right there, guys, So, uh,

(35:31):
they are going to be buyers. They want relievers now. Obviously,
you know, the bullpen has been pretty good, but right
now they're without Chris Martin. They got John Gray back.
We talked about him. Maybe maybe they trade him to
free up some money. But you know, with with with

(35:52):
Armstrong has been great, Millner has been great, Garcia has
been pretty good. It's a little dicey when he's in
the game, sometimes closing them out, but uh, those guys
have worked a lot this season and and they need help.
You know, as nice as cole Win, as nice as
season as he's having, I'm not sure the Rangers are
quite there with him. Yet, you know, Jake Lants is
kind of bouncing around between the rotation and the bullpen.

(36:17):
I think, you know, it would be nice for him
to settle into a role. I think it would be
an advantage to him to have that opportunity. Jacob Webb
has been good, but you know, these guys aren't true
you know, strikeout guys. They don't just come in and
you know that they're going to strike out a guy
or have a good chance to strike out a guy
if they make their pitches. So I think the Rangers
are looking for some guys who throw the ball pretty hard,

(36:41):
you know, the guys who throw the ball hard and
know where it's going. Though, also, because the one thing
that this bullpen generally does well is it doesn't kill itself.
It makes it throw it pitches the contact, there's a
lot of strikes and gets some efficient outs. You know,
this this is and it's an interesting time. You know,

(37:02):
you kind of look at the closers who might be
out there. They're all going to cost a little money,
you know. Uh, Maln the old class is probably at
the top of the the the closer heap, I think
he you know, getting blew a saved last night yesterday
afternoon and hasn't been as good as he was last year.
But there's a guy who has an incredibly club friendly

(37:23):
contract went forward. David Bednar is a guy who Rangers
fans have liked in the past, and he's gonna having
a rebound season, and you kind of wonder what are
the Twins gonna do with the duran And they also
have the setup guy. Uh, Grit Griffin was a Fox.
I can't remember his last name, but anyway, he's good

(37:44):
Jax Griffin, Jacks and no the Rockies, even the Rockies
have relievers. Vondrak throws a hundred. You know, do you
want to get a guy like that who's under control
and probably isn't gonna cost you an arm in a lake?
You know you? And then you kind of think back
to pass deadlines. You go back to twenty fifteen and
Cole Hamills stole the headlines with that trade. But the

(38:06):
Rangers also got Jake Deakman in that trade. And then
right before the buzzer they made a trade with the
Marlins for a guy named Sam Dyson, who I'm not
gonna lie. I'd never heard of and he was controllable.
He came in and with him and Deacman, they revolutionized.
They just completely overhauled, changed the course of the of
the bullpen and help the Rangers get to the postseason.

(38:28):
So you know it's gonna it might be something under
the radar like that. And the Rangers have been really
really good at at hitting on the margins. You know,
you can you can go out and say, oh, yeah,
we got this guy. Well he's an All star, you
know whoop de do? Everybody knew that he was good.
It's these other guys that make or break you. And
I wouldn't be surprised that the Rangers, you know, try

(38:51):
for a try for a bigger name if they're able
to make the money work. And then also though, get
a guy that you're like, I don't know about this guy,
and then he turns out and does pretty well, right.

Speaker 6 (39:04):
And see why I always says the best upgrade are
internal upgrades. So Rats and I have talked about this,
haven't gotten to ask your opinion. But with Chris Martin
going down, what do you think about John Gray in
that setup position?

Speaker 5 (39:18):
Well, I mean you saw it last night. I know
he gave up the home run. But he gave him
three Indians and they were efficient and pretty pretty dark
good and you know you saw there in twenty three
and it came back from the late season four arm deal.
In the playoffs, he was a really good reliever Game
three of the World Series. The Rankers may not win

(39:39):
that without him. He was that important coming in for
sures Er in the fourth Indiingan and then just three
dominant Indians. I don't even think he threw thirty pitches.

Speaker 7 (39:50):
So.

Speaker 5 (39:52):
He can do that. His stuff plays up when he's relieving.
And also if they need a if they need a
spot star, he's a pretty good option, you know. And
that would allow uh lads to to kind of ease
into a spot where he knows what he's going to
be doing every day. It's interesting because grad's in his

(40:13):
walk here and he's going to the free agency. He's
not starting anymore, but he's all in on this. He
wants to he wants to help the team win, and
even if it's as a reliever. So I I would
I would really think that the Rangers will have to
think long and hard about trading him, just because you know,
if you want to look at it as a trade

(40:34):
deadline acquisition getting him off the I l you can
look at it that way. The Rangers got better when
John Gray came back, so can they Can they flip him,
save the money and turn that into two better relievers.
I don't know. I don't know, so anyway, Yeah, and
I you know, and another injured guy is Josh s Bors.

(40:57):
I don't I don't know what Josh Bords is going
to be able to give him. He's still searching for
some velocity. If he can get up to ninety four
ninety five, he'll be all right. Ninety two is going
to be going to be a bit of a challenge,
even though he has still has the really good off
speed stuff that he's really happy with. He's not gonna
be able to blow anybody away with his heater though,

(41:17):
so he may have to pitch a little differently. And
then there's Tyler mally Still, who is probably looking at
a late August early September return. When you get him back,
what are you going to do? You know, do you
do you anoint him a starter? Do you do you
move lighter or Rocker to the bullpen? And you know,

(41:40):
if if if the Rangers are in position, if they
feel like they're going to be a playoff team. You
might see that because one of those guys isn't going
to be in the postseason rotation, Rocker or Rocker or Lighter.
You move them to the bullpen, have you? Well, anyway
you move them to the bullpen, you're picking up a

(42:00):
guy that throws ninety seven with a nasty off speed pitch.
I don't know what I would do in that scenario.
It's neck and neck. You know. If Wider is throwing
strikes consistently and putting away hitters, I think he's better
than Rocker right now. Rocker, you know, he's a starter.

(42:21):
They're going to start him. But the way he moves
and the way he doesn't hold runners, he's kind of
like a reliever, you know. So I don't know which
way that'll go. But one of those guys won't be
in a postseason rotation theoretically so. But but Mallley has
to be back and be healthy and be effective for

(42:44):
us to get to that point.

Speaker 6 (42:46):
He got a chat from Mike. There's a remote reality
where we could end this road trip leading the division race,
talking about facing the Angels and the Mariners.

Speaker 7 (42:55):
What are your thoughts on that.

Speaker 5 (42:57):
Yeah, I mean it's it's it's definitely possible. It's it
would it would take some it would take Yeah, they
need some help from the the Astros, and you need
the Astros to keep losing and the Rangers need to
stay hot. But but right now the Rangers are, uh,
what four games behind the Astros. That's it. Four games.

(43:17):
That's unbelievable. It was a it was eleven games on
July seventh. Okay, so they've made up seven games and
somebody do the math for me twenty days. Uh, it's
it's pretty impressive. What's happening here? I haven't seen what's
the what's the current Angels Marianner's score here? Four to one,

(43:40):
top of the ninth. All right, so the Angels hang on.
By the end of the show, the Rangers could be
tied for second in the West and then tied for
the final wildcard spot. That's that's that's a pretty remarkable
turnaround there for for the home team. So yeah, well

(44:01):
sit back and watch here in the next few minutes
and see what happens. But the Rangers have a chance
to continue to play well, to continue to nudge toward
first place, to continue to move up into wild card standings.
You know they've put They've put some padding, some cushion
between them and the team behind them, the Rays. It's
up to three games out because the Rays are falling apart.

(44:24):
Maybe Pete Fairbanks. Maybe a reunion with Pete Fairbanks. We
talked about a reunion with Emmanuel Class. Maybe there's a
reunion the Pete Fairbanks. Who knows. But the Rays might
be selling to.

Speaker 7 (44:35):
Yeah, and the Yankees.

Speaker 6 (44:36):
If they keep doing whatever the heck they're doing right now,
they can kiss that wild card spot goodbye.

Speaker 7 (44:43):
We'll get into.

Speaker 6 (44:44):
More batting cleanup and then Hall of Fame induction. Jeff
there said that they're shocked you're not wearing your Hall
of Fame hat on.

Speaker 5 (44:51):
I thought I thought about it, but I thought it'd
be too Cornia.

Speaker 7 (44:55):
Well, we'll talk about it coming up next.

Speaker 1 (45:00):
Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds at Midmobile.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
We're bringing back our promotion every three month plan for
fifteen dollars a month.

Speaker 3 (45:05):
Give it a try at midmobile dot com. Slash switch from.

Speaker 4 (45:09):
King aet dollars only fifty dollars on mone required to
cutmer off for firste months only speaks after three fig
bye a network text some pextrat seem buil dot com.

Speaker 6 (45:17):
All right, so my phone is blowing up right now
because Clarence Hill is out in California sending us all
the updated info with the Cowboys. I don't know if
you guys have checked out the DLLs Cowboys Twitter, but
they have been posting some phenomenal things.

Speaker 7 (45:35):
They've got great eyes on site. I'm very proud of
Pop Pop. I'm going to have to give him his
flowers when he's back.

Speaker 6 (45:41):
Our crew is out there for quite some time, and
then I think the Fellaws are going to join Clarence soon.
But there's so much to talk about with the Cowboys now.
I know they're still waiting on Michael Parsons to get
his deal. So if you want to be the most
informed sports.

Speaker 7 (45:56):
Fan, not only for the Cowboys, but.

Speaker 6 (45:58):
For the Rangers, the Mavericks, the Stars, all of the
things WNBA as well, go ahead sign up via die
Hard because you get access to things like Jeff Wilson
writes some of the best articles I've ever read. Really
do read them all the time, and they're great. So
join to be a die Hard because you can get
number one a free shirt. The membership goes on sale

(46:21):
quite a bit. So if you do the math, sometimes
you're paying like a dollar for the membership because you
get a free shirt, all the things, twenty percent off
of events.

Speaker 7 (46:30):
Go ahead and become a die hard today.

Speaker 5 (46:33):
Not only that, though, Abby, we're in the midst of
what they're calling the Training Camp Special. For thirty six dollars,
you can become a dieard. I like to think of
it as the trade Deadline special, But anyway, I guess
training camp sales a little better than the trade deadline,
which I think is rubbish. But anyway, you get your

(46:55):
for thirty six, you're going to get this all this
access plus the free shirt. And as we kind of
pimped last week or two weeks ago, we've got some
great new shirts over at all stored at All City
network dot com. I have three in my my little
cart and I'm getting ready to push the button on those,

(47:16):
and of course that that'll get me up to I
think sixteen T shirts. I don't know. Wow, well, I
am going to get a I'm going to get a
Nuggets shirt from the d n v R because it's
a pretty sharp lookod shirt and I am a Nuggets fan.
You know, I was born and raised there on Alex
English and Kiki Vandaway and Fat Levers. So I get

(47:36):
to I still have a little loyalty to the to
the Nuggets, even though I'm in MAV's territory. But the
point of the fact of the matter is go to
stored out All City Network dot com and get you
some sweet gear.

Speaker 6 (47:48):
It's really funny that you mentioned that because there's a
video of Ola Jokic reacting to his horse winning a race,
and you know, the big joke with him is that
basketball is his day job.

Speaker 7 (47:58):
He didn't even act like that when he won finals.

Speaker 6 (48:00):
He is crying, sobbing, leaning over this winning horse and
you gotta love it, all.

Speaker 5 (48:06):
Right, So he's probably he's probably drunk.

Speaker 7 (48:10):
Well that that's probably too all right.

Speaker 6 (48:13):
Five new members get inducted into the Hall of Fame
each ye row c C. Billy Wagner. Fun story with
Billy Wagner. His son actually plays for the Blue Jays
and he has a he's got a series in Detroit
right now, but on this Sunday he is in Cooper's town.

Speaker 7 (48:32):
Watching his dad get elected into the Hall of Fame.
What are your talk on?

Speaker 6 (48:37):
Yeah, I thought it was cool that Baseball did that,
Rad said he didn't think, uh, that would really happen.
But what are your thoughts on the players being represented
in this year's class?

Speaker 5 (48:46):
Yeah, you know, I thought they were, you know, pretty
uh clear cut. I've been voting for Billy Wagner for
a while, uh uh CC and the e tro or
first ballot Hall of Famers. I really want to go
back and watch the intro speech because from what I've
seen on Twitter, it sounds like it was hilarious. So
I want to go back and watch that. But I

(49:07):
really want to. You know, I was kind of struck
this morning watching some of the MLB network coverage about
Dick Allen and especially Dave Parker. And of course it's
terrible that Dave Parker died last last month, a month
before he was inducted today. But you know, you look
at his numbers and he should have been voted in

(49:29):
by the writers, and you know, and I I don't
know why it was. I mean I have some I
have some suspicions, you know, he he you know, had
had some encounters with with drugs and and maybe people
thought and the writers thought they were better than Dave Parker.
Although they're at the bar every night anyway, So I

(49:51):
don't I don't know what happened there with with Dick
Allen and Dave Parker, but uh, they they're deserving guys.
I mean we're talking about former m v P. Dick
Allen was a Rookie of the Year. They parked on
two World Series. I think he won a batting title.
He finished second in the MVP another time at eighty five,

(50:11):
he lost it to William McGee from the Cardinals because McGee,
you know, batted three fifty something and stole a ton
of bases and scored a bunch of runs on that
Cardinals team that just manufactured runs, and then you know,
ended up getting screwed technically in the World Series and
then blowing Game seven. But that kind of is what

(50:34):
struck me the most. Those guys should those guys should
have been a long time ago.

Speaker 7 (50:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (50:40):
No, each he ro somebody left him off the ballot
and they're uninvited to his house. What are your thoughts
on somebody? Do you think ever they should? You know,
if it's one away from unanimous, what are your thoughts
on the person that voted?

Speaker 7 (50:55):
Did they lose the right? Should they have to reveal themselves.

Speaker 5 (50:59):
They should. They should have to Every writer should have
to reveal his ballid. I just, you know, we're at
a point where transparency is you know, the media isn't
very popular. I'm not just talking about sports media. Sports
media is okay, but between Republicans and Democrats and you

(51:20):
know NBC and CBS and CNN and Fox News kind
of dividing the voting electorate, you know, fake news and
all that stuff, there is definitely bias in our news coverage.
A lack of transparency would go a long way. And
I think that whoever it wasn't, whoever did not vote

(51:40):
for him, and whoever didn't vote for Jeter should should
show themselves. I really think, you know, just get out
there and do it. You know you're going to be
forgotten in two days anyway, all right, but get out
there and do it. And if they don't want, you know,
they shouldn't lose their voting privileges for that. That's just
how they voted. Maybe maybe the guy was like, oh

(52:01):
my god, I just you know, I totally meant to
do it, but I forgot and didn't check him. I
don't know. Maybe it was a blank ballot. Maybe somebody
submitted a blank ballot. I don't know, but because there's
been some of that going around the last few years.
But how you know, how do you not vote for
that guy? He did everything, you know, except hit for power.
And Mark mcklamore swears that I tro could have hit

(52:23):
thirty homers a season, but he chose to, you know,
put the ball in play and hit for average as
opposed to trying to hit the ball or of fence
and sacrificing maybe twenty or thirty points in average.

Speaker 6 (52:34):
Yeah, you mentioned you've been voting for Billy Wagner for
quite some time.

Speaker 5 (52:39):
Yeah, yeah, you know, when you look at baseball here
in the last let's say, thirty is probably too short
last forty years. And then going back to the advent
of the designated hitter, Baseball's basically created two positions d
H and closer, and they're very underrepresented in the Hall

(53:01):
of Fame considering how important they are too teams and
so I I, you know, I think that it's time
for more closers to get into the Hall of Fame.
You know, I voted for Francisco Rodriguez, the former Angels
closer who you know, set the single season record with
sixty saves. You look at his career totals, I think

(53:26):
he's top five all time and saves. And then you know,
d hs. They don't play in a position. They play
a position, all right, they don't play defense, no, but
they are on teams to do a specific thing and
if they do it very very well, they should they
should garner more attention and consideration for the Hall of Fame.

(53:47):
So closers are are always going to be on my ballot.
The best of the best need to be need to
be in the Hall of Fame. And uh, Billy Wager,
you look at his numbers, it's hard to hard to
say he wasn't the best of the best.

Speaker 7 (54:00):
Right, I agree completely.

Speaker 6 (54:03):
Yeah, there's a comment going to watch for a speech
after this game, after this show ends. I think there's
a few chuckles in there, no doubt. But uh so
you were just did you go to Hall of Fame
last year Cooperstown to cover Adrian?

Speaker 5 (54:19):
We were, Yeah, I went for for Adrian right before
we launched Adam Adam there in the chat house. Andrew
Jones not in the Hall of Fame. Sam with Fiors
Sheffield voted for him both, all right, I voted for
them both. Andrew is going to get in next year.
But yeah, one hundred percent. I don't I don't care
about what his batting averages. He's the pre eminent defensive

(54:42):
center fielder on some of the you know, the best
teams in the National League.

Speaker 3 (54:47):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (54:47):
He he should be in the in the Hall of Fame.
You know. Ozzie Smith was this great shortstop, not a
great offensive player, but he's in the Hall of Fame.
People want to put some people want to put more
of this scale in the Hall of because he's a
great defensive shortstop, not a ton offensively. Andrew Jones was
an amazing center fielder. Greg Maddox, John Smoltz, Tom Glavin

(55:10):
would probably still be in the Hall of Fame without
Andrew Jones as their center centerfielder all those years in Atlanta.
But he definitely, he definitely made their eras better and
their win loss totals better. He was that good. Uh,
you know, and he's a former Ranger. Let's don't forget
two thousand and nine former ranger. So we'll see what happens,

(55:31):
but I think he gets in next year.

Speaker 6 (55:33):
Yeah, And we got to chat about writers that reveal
their ballot.

Speaker 7 (55:37):
We appreciate that.

Speaker 6 (55:38):
I agree transparency is huge, and I think you have
the right to vote, maybe you have a duty to
reveal it as well. All right, let's shift this talk
to maybe not the best to ever do it, but
maybe the best for one game. Did you see Nick
Kurtz the other the other nine against Astros? I mean

(56:03):
six for six, four home runs, are eight rbi and
nineteen total bases. He is the first Athletics player in
history with four home run game. It would have been
five and three other ballparks is Do you think that's
one of the most impressive games?

Speaker 5 (56:23):
Sure? Sure. Now if I'm didn't his last one come
off a position player.

Speaker 7 (56:29):
I have to check that.

Speaker 5 (56:30):
But well, anyway, great game. He's a rookie, he's got
great power, He's going to be a player. He's going
to be a thign in the Rangers side for a
long long time. Yeah, it rates has a great one
of the best games ever. I was at the Josh
Hamilton for homer game where his loan non homer he
went five for five was a double that won hoped

(56:52):
the wall and it was it was unbelievable And I
still contend we were talking about the other day here
at the ballpark that Josh Mpleton is the best, is
the best player I've ever seen.

Speaker 7 (57:05):
You stand by that.

Speaker 5 (57:06):
For that stretch from from eight to twelve, he was.
He was the best player. He was so so so good.
I could run and throw, hit for average, hit for power.
I'm never seeing anybody have a month like he had
in July of ten. It was unbelievable. So anyway, I
thought of Ian Kinsler's cycle game in two thousand and nine.

(57:28):
He went six for six while hitting for the cycle.
Did that against the Orioles on Jackie Robinson Day. That's
that's a great offensive day. But there've only been twenty
four homer games. There have been twenty three perfect games.
So it's it's even more rare than a perfect game
for somebody to hit four home runs. So now I
do think it's happened twice this year though, if I'm

(57:50):
not mistaken, But uh, it's it's it's pretty special. And
what Kurtz did, especially to you know, against the Astros,
I'm sure Rangers fans are low. We used to thank
him for that.

Speaker 6 (58:02):
Yeah, and to tight end to who we just saw
because I actually interviewed him when the A's were in
town and at the time he had eighteen home runs.

Speaker 7 (58:09):
He was two away from twenty. He was on pace
to maybe there were.

Speaker 6 (58:14):
Only two faster players to hit twenty home runs as
a rookie for the A's.

Speaker 7 (58:21):
One was Matt Olson, So it just goes to show
how good they are.

Speaker 6 (58:25):
I looked up Josh Hamilton's numbers for the month of
July that was back to twenty ten, so I was curious.
Four eighteen batting average, forty one hits, five home runs,
seventeen RBI, seventeenth runs scored in twenty six games.

Speaker 5 (58:45):
It was amazing. He hit a home run at Miami
at the Old at the Old Stadium, four thirty six
to center and they put the batting cage. They used
to put the batting cage behind the center field fence
because it was a dump in didn't any place to
put it. He hit the back adding cage and I
swear to god, that ball didn't get twenty feet off
the ground. It's it's probably the hardest ball I've ever

(59:06):
seen it.

Speaker 7 (59:06):
Really.

Speaker 5 (59:07):
That's funny.

Speaker 6 (59:09):
Yeah, no, it's it's really impressive what the rookie's done.
And again he's going to be an issue for the
Rangers because he's in the AL list. All right, Well, yeah,
I mean it's one heck of a game, one heck
of a series.

Speaker 7 (59:26):
Man.

Speaker 6 (59:26):
I was messaging with our producer Elijah. He's kind of
a newer baseball fan, but he's like, this game is
so exciting, and I'm like, oh, man, if you didn't
watch many of the twenty twenty three games, a lot
like it. There kind of was a formula for a
big offense. But it's great to see, you know, the
production that you knew that they were always capable of.

(59:48):
Now do you think this is a turning point in
the season, Jeff.

Speaker 5 (59:53):
Yeah, nine to won their last ten games, and it
is official. Somebody put in the chat the Mariners lost
in the Rainngers are now tied for the third wild
card spot. All right, so yeah, the season has taken
a sudden turn in the right direction.

Speaker 7 (01:00:10):
Okay, we'll take it, all right.

Speaker 6 (01:00:13):
