Today, fifty five games down, twenty nine of them have sucked.
There's one hundred and seven left. Does that mean we
got its fifty seven more games that will suck. I
just can't stand these losses. Like yesterday, talk me off
the ledge chatters. Maybe Jeff can do it. It's the

(01:12):
DLLs Rangers podcast. He had a look on his face,
says it all. It's kind of how we all feel.
It's kind of how we all react every time the
Rangers have runners on base with nobody out and somebody

(01:35):
in this case, the Dolis Garcia, swings at two pitches
that are clearly below the strike zone. It's kind of
how we feel every time they miss an opportunity offensively
and don't pick up the starting pitching that has been
so good. Hi there, Welcome into the DLLs Sports Studios.
It's the DLLs Rangers Podcast. John Radigan here, And for

(01:57):
thirty years almost I was a part of a partnership
with the team, so I really wasn't allowed to express this,
but damn it, Jeff, it's getting me at this point.
And I know we also before that, I began as
an objective journalist, and consequently, you know, there's always a story,

(02:18):
whether it's a good story or a bad story, there's
always a story. That's sort of how we both were
raised in this business. But this job is a little different.
We're there for you with you as a fan, so
I'm looking at it from a fans perspective, Jeff, and
I don't think frustrated even begins to sort of approximate

(02:40):
how we're beginning to feel about the way this offense
is performing. Help me.

Speaker 6 (02:46):
I wish I could. There's not a lot I tell
you what. Oh, here's tonight's giveaway is the bruce boat okay,
truck baublehead Okay. So maybe this will make you happy,
make you smile.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
I hope it does. Ah, there we go. Look at that.
There we go. That does bring back some fond memories,
doesn't it. Look at that? Baby? All right? Go to
the game tonight, large, Go to the game tonight, even
if you know, I don't know. I don't know if
they'll hit at all, but by god, this will be

(03:19):
a hit. You can get one of these if you
go tonight. So, and that was so much fun and
it was so recent, and maybe that's one of the reasons.
It's more than just frustrating. It's like, you, we just
know that these guys can do it, right, we really do,
and they can't. They haven't they and I don't want
to say they won't, but it feels like they won't.

Speaker 6 (03:42):
Well, you know, they could be who they are. I mean,
this is a small sample size, and you know, I
think the frustrating thing is that, for the most part,
it's the same guys right from twenty three. You know,
it's like, how did they.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
What has changed?

Speaker 6 (04:02):
Why are the Rangers unable to get the most out
of being very specific Marcus Simeon and Nolas Garcia, you know,
and and yeah, we can throw darts at Jock Peterson.
It's easy to do that. He's got a cast now
that I think can stop him. But you know, he's
about in one thirty one when he went on the

(04:22):
injured list. Okay, you know you've seen you've seen good
things from from a lot of guys. You know, Jonah
him I think is doing doing well. Jake Berger has
been really good since he's come back from the minor leagues.
Josh Young, as inconsistent as it seems at times, he's

(04:42):
you know, probably their most consistent hitter. You know, hit
him or why at Langford who was averages below two
fifty five, but he seems to hit so many balls hard,
you know. So and then Josh Smith is kind of
on on a little bit of a tail spin. It
feels like, but you know, those guys have have been

(05:03):
hot and they've been doing it. It's it's really the
two guys. And then it's it's worth mentioning, you know
this This team right now is functioning without Corey secret
and they're not functioning very well. And it looks like
he's going to get going here and and and be
activated during this home stand. He took live atting practice

(05:27):
yesterday and and Evan was out there running. Evan Carter,
who's another guy who's going to be back, not as soon,
you know. And I talked to Evan and the dugout
yesterday after he finished running. I was like, how long
how long you've been going? He said, oh, we've we've
been running. I said, well, how is that? He goes
it was about sixty percent, So he's not he's he

(05:49):
called it jogging. I said, I said, how long have
you been running? He goes, well, that's it's really job hockey.
So you know he's not quite there yet. See, you
can get back sooner and the and I think it's
advantageous in the Peterson injury. In this way, Corey can

(06:10):
come back in D eight, right if the Rangers really
want him back, and and he feels like he can hit,
but maybe he doesn't feel like he's quite ready for
the field, doesn't let him d H because the starting
d H is gonna be out un till July, so
there's there's an opportunity to get Corey Seeger into the lineup,
ease him back into shortstop. So anyway, if you're looking

(06:35):
for a reason to look to think good things are ahead,
it's because Corey Seeger is coming back.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yeah, And we'll dive more into that in what effect
he might have on this team coming up a little
later in the show. I think the thing that troubles
me even more than you know that it was just
two years ago that they were everybody was coming through
in a big way. Just two days ago, Adolis Garcia
came through right in a big situation, right and so,

(07:01):
and I must admit on Sunday, as I'm sitting there
watching the game, I'm thinking, oh crap, here's a chance.
But it Doleys is up, you know, and he came
through it a big way. He came through in a
big way. And that was some of the point that
Boach made about putting him and send me down in
the eight and nine spot. Look, big opportunities come up

(07:21):
for every spot in the batting order. It did there
and and Adoles came through in a huge way with
that two run double. But I just thought maybe that
would have a little carryover. I get it. Gossman's great,
you know, he was. Bossman was really good yesterday. He
throws so many strikes. That's the thing.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
You know, you know you're gonna get a strike, and
and you only get three three of them, you know,
a bat and you know, and this is something that
that I hear a lot of guys talk about, is
you don't have to swing at every strike, right because
there are some strikes that are going to get you out.
You still have to be selective against a strike thrower.

(08:02):
And after three innings, Kevin Gosman had thrown twenty three pitches. Geez,
I've never seen a number that long. Wow, And he
gave up a hit in that in that I just
I just could not believe that that number. And but
some of it is Gossman's doing. You know, he was
able to get out so and then he has a
split so as the game went along, he started relying

(08:24):
on that split finger and it was getting getting guys
or creating weak contact. And you know, his lasting was
the eighth and there were three fly balls that you know,
were hit to medium to deep parts of the outfield,
but they just didn't have enough on him because they
they were off of his splitter and the guys were
just not getting there. So I guess another positive and

(08:45):
it was mentioned in the chat, Aljandro Osuna man, Yeah,
two hits yesterday, keeps he's playing a solid left field.
You know, his family was a lot of his family,
most of his family was there. It turns out he
has a twin brother.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Yeah, how about that? Yeah, yeah, he said, Oh, he
was asked who was there. He's talking talking, talking girlfriend, dad, mom,
but a twin brother.

Speaker 6 (09:07):
Twin brother. Yeah, but I know he had a twin brother.
I knew he had his brother Roberto, who you know
is another story for another time. But he's pitching in
Japan right now. So anyway, he talked about afterward, he said, no,
I'm that. I guess his family was like, I kept
asking him, are you nervous? Are you nervous? He's like, no,
not really, and they're like why, He's like, because big

(09:28):
league spring training. He really took advantage of that. Yeah,
you know a lot of it. A lot of these
guys going to spring training and his non roster invites.
He's not expecting to make the roster and no, they're
not going to make the roster. I'm not saying they're
just there to because they have that chance. You know,
there are things to be learned, and Alejandro took advantage

(09:48):
of it. He listened to the veteran guys. They made
him feel at ease, and he had success and and
he stayed. I mean, you know, you you would expect him. Honestly,
It's like, you look at that list before camp, He's
probably gonna be the first first wave of sure sull know.
He made it all the way to Arlington. Yeah, for
those exhibition games. Yeah, you know, they loved him, so

(10:10):
you know, opportunities there, you take advantage of it. And
he did that. And look he's beatt in sixth. You know,
you know I thought they might you know, I know
they had done the Garcia Simeon thing eight nine. I
was like, well, soon, maybe they go ahead and just
drop him down there at ninth, No.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Sixth.

Speaker 6 (10:29):
You know, he batted with in a big spot in
that game Sunday in the ninth and he even struck
out anyway, so feel good about that. That's kind of
an exciting it is.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
And look as recently as twenty twenty three, when these
trucks in that parade was earned. We saw a young
guy come up in an unlikely call up, I mean
a call up that felt like it might have been
a little bit too early, and spark the team. And
that guy's name is Evan Carter. Now he hasn't been
that great since, mostly because of any injury, but he

(11:01):
was the spark for that team, the little savior they
called him. So uh, there's a chance that a guy
like Osuna, who not only has shown plate discipline, he's
a plus defender. He's got a couple of hits yesterday
when nobody else could off Gossman, and and you know,
he brings an energy and a vibe and a smile

(11:21):
and a joy to that clubhouse, which look at this
point it can use that. Jeff.

Speaker 6 (11:27):
Uh Yeah, I mean I think everybody is beating down
you know, pitchers, starters, relievers, the position players I know
are frustrated. They you know, they have to answer the
same questions yet every day any why was that guy
so good?

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Why are you guys so bad?

Speaker 6 (11:43):
And you know they're they're harder to track down, so
I think they're tired of it. They just need to know.
I had a long I had two long conversations yesterday
before the game. One was with Brett Boone, Okay you did,
and one was with Chris Young and uh, you know
Brett is in today, Mark's three weeks since he was

(12:06):
his first game, and you know he's he's still trying
to drive home that these guys need to you know,
they need to watch the they still need to watch
the game. They need to understand hitting. Uh, you know,
And in the Sunday game, Garcia's at bat in the
seventh inning was not good. I mean he took you know,

(12:28):
there were I think it was a let's say an
eight pitch at bat, and six of them were off
the plate in the exact same location, and they were
pretty much the exact same pitch, and and he kept
folling them off, falling him off, falling him off, which
I guess is good. But they were all balls. That's where,
that's where the White Sox were pitching him. And it's

(12:49):
and and you know, how, how how after let's say
three of them, do you not are you not able
to pick up that pitch? And and you know the
simple answer from Boone was he's just not He's just
not picking up the not recognizing the pitches, you know,
and so they want him to watch the games and
all the players understand what the pitcher's trying to do.

(13:11):
But you know, and he's so big on confidence, it
seems like these guys are really in a fragile state
right now. Yeah, a they have no confidence and be
you know, the new hitty coach is not in a
position to come in and just start barking orders and
telling these guys right what they're doing is wrong.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
You know.

Speaker 6 (13:29):
It's these guys worked in the off season, they have
the talent. This isn't a time to make major swing overhauls.
They're making tweaks at this point, so you can tweak
the approach a little bit. And I think that's that's
what Boone is aiming to do. And you know, he said,
you may not be able to turn a guy who
walks fifty times a year into one hundred walk a

(13:51):
year guy. But fifty eight walks, hey, yeah, that makes
a difference. Sure, and one hundred twenty strikeout guy one
hundred and twenty strikeout guy, that's a big difference. Those
are more balls in play, more opportunities. So uh, and
he acknowledged that the team does not walk a lot. Uh,
So you got to figure out how to put balls
in play, and right now they're just not doing it.

(14:13):
We'll save Chris Young for the second half, but he's
he's really frustrated. So we'll uh, well, we'll talk about conversation. Yes,
but you know, I see a lot of the questions
in there while we were talking about Carter and and
and uh Seeger does as soon as stay uh probably
when Seeger is activated, I would say yes, I would

(14:35):
think Krim would be the move there. I think that
when Carter gets activated, unless so soon as hitting four hundred,
which hey, maybe he will be sure. I don't know
that he gets down. You know, you could you do
have unfortunately, you know, the ability to df a Haggarty,
you know, go with the hot bat. But he's been Haggart,
He's been pretty good.

Speaker 1 (14:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (14:57):
It's it's a it's a quandary. You still have the
third catcher too. That's another area where I think the
Rangers might have to finally budge on that one.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
Yep, all right, well we got more to talk about.
As Jeff mentioned, he had a long conversation with Chris Young,
and he told you Chris Young is as frustrated as
you are and as I am, So maybe he can
help talk us off the ledger. Heck, maybe we need
to go talk Chris Young off the ledge. I'm not sure,
but we'll discuss that and how Corey Seeger does effect
can affect this offense as we continue with the DLS

(15:31):
Rangers podcast.

Speaker 6 (15:34):
But now it's time to talk about one of John's
favorite to favorite companies, linked In. Yes, says John, John
here is a small business owner and he and his
wife and they need to hire some folks sometimes. And
you don't just want to hire three guys off the
street or three ladies off the street. You want to
hire quality people and get your job in front of

(15:57):
the right candidates so that you can select I'm a
better pool of candidates. And that's where LinkedIn Jobs comes in.
You can post your first job free at LinkedIn dot
com slash rangers. They take the hassle out of it.
They get you out in front where you belong with
people who they who you want to see your job listing,

(16:18):
so you know LinkedIn everybody has an account because there
are a lot of job seekers out there. But if
you are an employer, this is your opportunity to post
a job and again do it for free at LinkedIn
dot com slash Rangers.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Hey Stars fans, tonight is another game for your Dallas
Tis and it's really a big one. I mean, if
the Stars win Game four and Edmonton, they're right back
to where they were supposed to be, which is in
charge of their own destiny. Right they will have won
home ice advantage back. But they need this win. You

(16:52):
need a simple approach to watching them win this game.
So throw on your Stars, favorite Stars, whatever letter, jersey, jersey,
whatever you got, and and sit down and watch the game.
It'll be fantastic. It always is. It's it's so exciting
this time of year in the hockey playoffs. Oh and

(17:13):
the most important thing, grab yourself a bud Light. I mean, look,
I grew up on Budweiser and then you know, ultimately
they everybody invented the light beers and I really became
a bud Light fan when it was not cool. I
don't know, maybe it's still not cool to like bud Light,
but when it was not cool to like bud Light,
I liked it anyway. And people would say, you're drinking

(17:34):
bud Light, and I'd say yeah, because I want it.
So you should get yourself some bud Light tonight. It's
the beer. I like bud Light. It's easy to drink,
it's easy to enjoy, enjoy responsibly. Twenty one and over.
Please Anheuser Busch bud Light Beer, Saint Louis, Missouri. I
think it's okay to like bud Lighting. In it is
they have they reduced the stigma.

Speaker 6 (17:53):
They got rid of the woke situation and have gone
with Shane Gillis yeah uh and uh Malone Yeah yeah,
and back to cookouts and barbecues and sitting in lawnchairs
and drinking in the front yards. Yeah there at least trying.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
It's pretty much me when my black sox pulled up
to my knees. Yet, know they do? They look like
a couple old guys, uh, Shane and post there a
couple old guys that would say good off my lawn.
They sit there. So all right, good, So let's first
talk about this this Corey Seeger return Jeff, Because you know,

(18:31):
the thing we know about baseball, the thing we know
about really baseball and football football is the ultimate team game.
Because there are so many guys that have to work
in unison right in concert of American big sports baseball
would be next, right, And what happens in those team

(18:51):
games is it's very difficult for one man, one player
to make that much different, right, and yet Corey Seger
seems to be that guy. And I suppose I was
thinking about it today working out. I suppose that, like
if Babe Ruth missed a whole bunch of time with

(19:15):
injury or whatever, you know, during his career, they were
clamoring to get Babe Ruth back in that lineup. It
wasn't the same offense without Babe Ruth or without Lou
Garrig right, guys like that, guys of that ILK. I'm
not necessarily saying that's who Corey Seeger is, but he
is clearly the best offensive player on this team, absolutely

(19:37):
one of the best offensive players in the game of baseball.
So he has an effect. But is he can he
resurrect the whole thing? He can?

Speaker 6 (19:50):
Definitely, Yeah, I don't know if he can completely salvage it,
but they can they'll be a lot better. You Know,
we saw in the first time he came out the
injured list, you know, first first game back, he he
does great. Second game back they anyway, they end up
losing the game, but he hit some balls hard against

(20:12):
the mirrors. The next day they win. He had the
big hit, the go ahead or the two run single
that kind of started a six run and he go
to Boston. Very good game the first time they the
first game they win six to one or six nothing.
Second game another good, good showing for him. Team scores
four runs in a loss. Then they kind of go

(20:32):
a little sideways, but he was out of the lineup
because it was bothering him. Takes two games off, comes
back form that Saturday game of Detroit and hits two
homers in the double and that that kind of jump
starts them to the series win. Now, after that he
went on the injured list. He not playing the Sunday, but.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
He is.

Speaker 6 (20:53):
That good and the players acknowledge it. Yeah, I wrote
a story about it, and you know, can one guy
mean that much to a team? And Jonah Heem said,
what is Corey Seeger? Yeah, so yeah, he's he's a
big guy. And maybe they're just waiting for that. I
hope not, because they do need to be able to
get on base. You know, we talked about the lack
of walks they're twenty eighth, and Walks saw on the

(21:14):
chat they are dead ass last in on base percentage
below even the Rockies. Rangers have a two eighty four
on base percentage, thirtieth out of thirty teams in Major
League Baseball. So there there are issues getting on base.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
They need to do that.

Speaker 6 (21:29):
And you know, if Corey Singer is gonna be healthy,
you want guys on base and he can drive in.
He can put himself on base. Yeah, it may, you know,
if he singles. It may take a home run to
get him to make sure he scores with his leg injury.
But still he can affect the game in a lot
of ways, so I will I would expect that he
will have a major impact when he comes back.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
Yeah, and so I know he did the Sim game yesterday, right, yeah, yes,
I VP, yeah live VP quasi SIM game yesterday. What
what did boats say or was there any report after?
What are we expecting when it's going to be this
home stand? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (22:09):
Yeah, you know, it's it feels like it keeps getting
pushed up because it was you know, then the initial
thought was the weekend series, But now I really do
think that and I don't know if this has been
a dress or not. That the Peterson thing and the
availability for d H Seeger could hasten his return, but

(22:33):
you know, you got to see how he feels when
he comes back today. He probably still needs to do
some running. I don't know how much of that he
did yesterday, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets
another round of live VP, just a chance to see
some pitches, make sure everything is all right, because remember,
it was it was the swinging what was causing the

(22:56):
leg paint. It wasn't the running necessarily, it was of
the swinging, because he does it is a violent swing.
I mean, everybody has a violent swing, it seems like,
but Corey give gives his all with just about every swing.
So that that's kind of where we're at. But I
think it's it's very soon.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
Yeah, yeah, and that's the thing. I mean.

Speaker 6 (23:18):
And look, they could give him until Friday, sure, because
there is the off day Thursday, yep, you know, Or
maybe he gets activated tomorrow because there's an off day Thursday,
so we can get an automatic day off and rest
it and then come back and.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
Be ready to go Friday.

Speaker 6 (23:32):
Any chance today, I wouldn't rule it out Okay, I
wouldn't rule it out, but it seems like.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
They got to make sure it's right. Sure exactly. Yeah,
you don't want to go fifteen more games without this guy. No,
And that was the thing. And you remember, you know,
this all came to a head on that trip in
Detroit and I was there, and that was Those were
the two takeaways. One, it only hurts when I swing.
You know, that's sort of like, hey, doc, I fine,

(24:02):
I'm fine, It only hurts when I breathe, right, you know,
swinging is everything. Uh. And then was Boach's just steadfast statement,
desire to make sure we let this thing, you know,
we let the recovery go long enough to make sure
we clear this thing up. I mean that is yeah,
so important. And to your point, as long as he

(24:25):
doesn't have to, I mean, you know, if he can
just dh, it just takes it less of a toll
on the legs obviously than standing in, you know, at
the shortstop position for nine innings.

Speaker 6 (24:39):
And then you know it's turf out there. I know
that there's dirt in the infield, but still ask him
back for a pop up, you know, right, just you know,
and it's not just straight line running. You know, you've
got to turn, you've got to run backwards, you've got
to do all all sorts of things. And he will
be tested on all those things. You know, running the
bases as a general only the last thing they have

(25:01):
to do before they go out on a rehab assignment
or in this case, before they get activated. So I
think that we'll have to you know, there will be
a lot of curious people, I think pre game today,
just just to see. But you know, another day tomorrow
wouldn't hurt anybody, and especially with the off day, and
then you know Thursday, and then you know, get them,

(25:23):
get them geared up for Friday, the weekend. Then they're off.
They're off the next three Mondays, maybe the next four Mondays.
They're off the next three at least the next three Mondays.
So you know, he'll be able to get some rest
in there and maybe he doesn't come back as a
you know, six seven game a week player. Maybe there
there is opportunity to, you know, give them Sunday off

(25:47):
and then the Monday off day. So he's getting two
days off, just one missing one game. So it's time
to but it is, it is, it is getting close,
and he needs to stay on the field.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
So let's talk about your conversation with Chris Young. I
know we're going to talk more about one of the
things that truly frustrated him, which was the misinformation disseminated
about Kamar Rocker, and we're going to get to that
in the next segment. But but I know that that's
not the only thing obviously frustrating a very competitive man

(26:20):
who had a long major league career and grew up
a Rangers fan and led them to a World Series
just two years ago, and did everything that everybody thought
needed to be done, addressed every need, you know, during
the off season, and somehow it hasn't come to fruition. Jeff,
it hasn't paid the dividend we were all expecting.

Speaker 6 (26:42):
Yeah, he he the bullpen thing, the Rocker to the
bullpen thing, which we'll get to in a minute, sent
him off. Yeah, I mean it was Yeah, he was
already he was already fired a lit. But then, because
you know, after we talked about that, I said, well,
where is your level of concern at closer and he said,

(27:05):
my concern is with the offense. Yeah, you know, he said,
we have guys that can get three outs, that we
believe in and we'll get three outs. Chris Barton is
gonna be coming back. I saw him throwing off a
flat ground yesterday. So the bullpen is not the primary
concern here. It's the offense and all about the offense,
and it's it's how how he's wondering why. Also, the

(27:28):
same group of guys that we talked about early on
in the show in twenty three, it's the same group.
How have they forgotten how to be productive?

Speaker 1 (27:36):
How? Why are they not productive? And you know, it's
it's is it a scouting thing?

Speaker 6 (27:43):
Is it a you know? Is it how they prepare?
It's I think I think, really, you know, this is
going to be a full what's what's the word audit
of everything that the Rangers do to get guys ready
for game. It's gonna be offensive, it's gonna be right.
It's gonna be looking at everything that happens. Even yeah,

(28:06):
I wouldn't shoot the medical staff, sure, you know all
that stuff, the strength and conditioning, all of these things.
What it may just be something that they try to
find that's changed that that these guys aren't are no
longer able to hit. And you know, again, as we've
talked about. I think with with Marcus goes back to

(28:28):
the three postseason, when all of a sudden, these sliders
were just you know, being thrown in heavy doses and
being swung at it off the plate and heavy doses
and pop pop ups, and you know, he's he kind
of salvaged things with his performances in Game four and
Game five of the World Series, and so you felt

(28:48):
good about him again. You know, finished third in the
al MVP. Hey here it goes and da da da
da da. And started slow last year, not this slow.
I just never got going. So he at the end
of last season he was all excited about hitting the
ball in the air more, making better contact. It just
hasn't happened. So Chris Young wants to know why. Sure,

(29:09):
not just with him, but anybody who is struggling in adults.
And he Chris Young was very adamant that they're going
to stay in the lineup though, because they're so good defensively.
If you're not scoring runs, you got to prevent them.
And then he also said, and the same goes for
Jock Peterson. When these guys are going good, there's nobody

(29:31):
in the system who's better than them. Right, And I
don't know that there's anybody right now in the system
who is better than them in their current form really,
I mean especially defensively, that's for sure. Justin Foscu can
play second base, but he's he's down right now with
an injury, you know. And they've signed a bunch of
you know, they've resigned Alan Trejo and yeah, there's some

(29:53):
depth pieces, but you know, they don't have the guy.
It's too early for Sebastian Walcott. So Chris is Chris
is pretty fed up with the offense and that's his
that's his senior focus right now.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
Yeah, and so we will address some of the thoughts
you have about that coming up, but also get to
this management of the pitching staff, because the reality is, again,
if you're not scoring runs, you got to make sure
the other team doesn't score many either, and the pitching
staff has done a great job doing that so far,
but they'll need management and we'll talk about how next.

(30:28):
It's the DLS Rangers podcast. Well, Dan Gumm and John
once again. Yeah, Arc money, mon Arc money, what a
great what a great tool. That's what I want you
to think of it as it's a tool to help
you manage your not only manage it's a great management
tool like all the others. I remember the first of

(30:49):
those out there that was so cool. You just click
and drag and it's in and the boom and you
know what you have. But this thing will help you
grow your wealth too. That's the thing about Monarch Money.
It's more than just managing your finances. It is helping
you grow your wealth and become, you know, sort of
that financially independent and stable person you want to be.

(31:12):
It's really hard in this day and age, just the
sheer number of subscriptions that we all pay for right right,
for all the different TV that all of them have
to be categorized and thought about. And you know, when
wherever we sit down and say what are the bills
this month? What do we think, it's like, oh, I
can't even remember them all. Monarch Money helps with all
of that. Monarch Money use the code DLLs at monarchmoney

(31:35):
dot com and I guarantee you'll be happy you did.

Speaker 6 (31:39):
Yeah, and they'll they'll help you figure out how to
buy a rugged road cooler. Yeah it is cooler season,
oh yeah, now, no doubt about it. And rugged road
is going to be where you want to turn if
you're in the market for a cooler. They're lightweight, they're durable,
and they float. So if you're a fisher a fisherman,
an angler, if you're a floating the river type, just

(32:02):
latch that thing onto your your tube and go on
down the river with the cold beverages and everything. So
if you use the cod dlst at Rugged Road Outdoors
dot Com, you get ten percent off your order. Again,
we we've been able to test out test drive the
Rugged Road cover here and you know, anytime there's a
watch party or an office get together, that Rugged Road

(32:26):
is full of beer and drinks and ice and they
are ice cold, and it'll stay that way for up
to seven days. Rugged Road Outdoors dot Com dls ten
percent off.

Speaker 7 (32:37):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
So, Man, yesterday was I think a classic example, and
we we've mentioned it once previously. Uh these games where
they're getting Jacob de Gram out of the game earlier
than likely he wants, earlier than likely you want, but
it's a management issue. And so yesterday, Jacob de Gram

(33:01):
comes out after five and a third and you're kind
of like, what why he's in It's a two to
one game. This is still so winnable, you know, at
that point, and that's where the decision becomes difficult, Jeff.
But at that point Boach has to look at it like, well,
do we have a real chance against Gosman to win
this game? Because if not, we just need to help Jacob,

(33:26):
you know, manage these innings. He's had I think a
seven and an eight inning outing his last two, right,
They've got to just watch him. And now, granted, let's
not forget the fact that Jacob you know, wasn't his
normal self yesterday. Honest obviously, he didn't have a strikeout.
For the first time in his major league career two

(33:48):
hundred and twenty nine starts, he didn't have a strikeout yesterday.
So and you could see it in his face, you
could see it in his body language. He didn't like
the way things were really going. And he was, you know,
in his mind, I'm sure awful. And it was two
to one, right, yea awful. That's what awful renders, or
you know, yields when when you're Jacob de Gram right

(34:09):
he he.

Speaker 6 (34:11):
I Honestly, the first pitch of the game was telling.
It was a fastball ninety seven right down the middle,
and Jacob de Gram does not throw those very often,
and it was it was trouble and he said, you know, afterwards,
my mechanics were messed up.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
Again.

Speaker 6 (34:24):
I didn't feel good about him. He threw fewer sliders
because of that, because when he flies open, it.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
Creates more.

Speaker 6 (34:34):
I don't think, yeah it is, it's not always as
it's not as good or his arm and the fastball command.
He said he didn't throw one fastball where he wanted to.
He walked guys and he wanted two guys back to back.
It's like, man, what was going on here?

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (34:51):
You know, the velocity was fine, but it was down too.
And that's again, that is something else that that he does.
When he knows his mechanics are right, he just doesn't
throw it as hard. So and then and then there
was a point there in the fifth where he threw
a pitch and kind of like rubbed it on his
rubbed his hand on his glove and then kind of

(35:12):
did this and wiped it on his pants. It looked
like he had a blister. It's like, oh boy, is
this a blister? Hoby Milner got up right away, and
you know, Jacob finished the inding and then went back out.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
The he said it.

Speaker 6 (35:32):
Jacob called it a hot spot. I don't know what
that means, but apparently it's not a blister. Everything's fine.
He'll be able to make his next start, which will come.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
On on. He should have two days off before. He'll
have the Thursday and the Monday off and then the Monday,
so we're looking at Tuesday to start that uh, that
road game somewhere and then Washington. I can't Tampa, Washington, Tampa.

Speaker 6 (36:02):
Minnesota, so anyway, so he'll be a well arrested guy
for those rays at that minor league ballpark. So anyway,
it makes sense, you know, I mean, this team still
does have postseason aspects.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
Absolutely.

Speaker 6 (36:17):
I know it sounds crazy right now, but you know,
right now in the American League there are seven teams
above five hundred. There's one in the East, four in
the Central, and only the Mariners and the Astros in
the in the West. And it's not like there're a
thousand games above five hundred, you know. There it's it's

(36:39):
it's not huge. The Rangers are four and a half
games out of first place. Okay, as awful as things
look offensively, the pitching, the starting pitching, and early on
the bullpen have allowed the Rangers to stay within striking distance,
so Chris Young said, it's wide open. The Rangers have
to believe that. So they they want Jacob de Gram

(37:00):
available in September because they still believe they're going to
be playing meaningful games. And if they are, and if
Jacob Mgram's involved, every fifth day, got like your chances
in that one. You get a Valdi tonight, he's been terrific.
I guess that means that Lighter would go or Malli

(37:23):
would go on on Friday.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
No, wait what, no tomorrow, Today's Tuesday. Then we have
that Malley would go Wednesday and then off day. So anyway,
there's there's a chance here for this team to still
be very good and so and they want Jacob to
groam to be a part of that. It's a lot
easier to be good with Jacob Degram than to be
good without him. So yes, they're managing him. And we've

(37:50):
seen them managing you know, and boats we know is
a bullpen whisperer, but we've seen them again doing large
part to injury, but we've seen them managing that. At
the moment, it appears that Luke Jackson is not and Again,
I don't know that he was ever officially named the closer,
but he was fulfilling that role. And right now we're
seeing Luke come into the games earlier than in that

(38:14):
ninth in a yes, he's.

Speaker 6 (38:18):
Been pitching the big outs in the sixth there a
couple average spots, and you know, a lot a lot
of times when you demote drop a guy out of
the closers role, that's where he ends up and he
works his way back up. So I think that Luke
Jackson will still figure into a save mix at some point.

(38:41):
He's still going to be getting big outs for the team.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
I believe. You know.

Speaker 6 (38:47):
The one thing that he didn't do the other day
when he came in was it was strikeout Luis Robert.
If he had done that instead of giving up a
sacrifice fly, the game's different. I'm the Rangers still, Yeah,
they're still on the game. But the point is the
Rangers could they don't have that guy, and they could
really use a guy who's going to go out there
and and uh shove, as I like to say, and

(39:11):
strike a guy out. And it's like, well, who is that?

Speaker 1 (39:14):
Well?

Speaker 6 (39:16):
Is it Emiliano Toyota, who's had some issues at Triple A.
The Rangers think they're related to the to the A
B S, the automated automated balls and strikes. You know,
one of one of the trappings of that system is
that hitters, especially at Triple A, are smart enough to
kind of work the system. You know, if it's if

(39:39):
it's a ball, if it's a slider and it looks
like it's going to be off the plate, they know
they don't, Hey, just go ahead and take it, you know,
take let's take our chances at the A B S.
And you see a lot of inflated walk totals at
Triple A these days, and that and and for for
both the hitters and the picture because you know, at

(40:01):
the major league level and even at Double A, these
hitters are going to chase a little bit. Sure, you
see it all the time with the Rangers are crying
out loud. So I think that he's had some issues
adjusting to that and that the hitters are forcing him
into the strike zone and he'll make more mistakes.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
So interesting, Yes, so chase rates have to be down
across A right, yeah, based on yeah, based on that ABS.

Speaker 6 (40:24):
And then and then one other name, you know, we
saw the mister asked about the Rocker to bullpen theory.
That was not my theory. By the way, I never thought.
I've never thought that Kamar Rocker should be in the bullpen.
Maybe maybe in two or three years if the starter
thing doesn't work out all right, But right now he's

(40:46):
he's too young, too talented, and too damaged coming off
of Tommy John surgery.

Speaker 1 (40:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (40:53):
Uh, to to start toying with the guy and ask
a guy who's never done it before, Hey, we want
you to throw two days in very high leverage situation. Yeah,
I get that the fastball and the slider are good,
but guess what, he's not really commanding those pitches either
this so far the season. So that's what's set up.
Chris Young off the USA to Day report that the

(41:13):
Rangers are considering it that that you know, when he
comes back from the il, which should be for the
next couple of weeks, that he's going to be closer.
Chris Young is very demonstrative about that, saying that that
is not the case. He called it irresponsible journalism.

Speaker 1 (41:31):
He was pissed.

Speaker 6 (41:32):
Bruce Bochie was a little more diplomatic about it, say, no,
we haven't talked about it. Have we talked about him
in the bullpen, Yes, but not closer. So missus following up,
does that mean John Grego's the old pen? I would say,
I would say that's ninety percent. I mean, I don't,
I don't. I haven't had it with that much certainty,

(41:53):
but all signs kind of indicate that. You know, if
you're going to have Cody Bradford back and Kamarcker back,
there's your there's your rotation depth. Just go, go and
put John Gray in a role where he has excelled
in the past. There are some people who don't know
if he can be a closer, but he's going to

(42:13):
figure into that late mix. Maybe he sets up Chris Martin,
maybe he sets up for Berto Garcia. I'm not sure
Robert Garcia, Sorry Robert, how that's going to work. But
John Gray, I think is going to be a reliever
when he comes back. You get him back sooner that
way too. And he's the one who said, you know
I'm going to be coming back throwing one hundred miles
an hour. Well he can do that a lot more

(42:36):
in the bullpen. Canada starting pitcher.

Speaker 1 (42:38):
Sure, and yeah, and you know he's he's willing. I mean,
that's the great thing. Despite the fact that this is
a contract year for him, he said before the season,
and a knowing uh you know that that this is
that that that he would be available and amenable to
the idea. So we'll see if that really does happen,
but it does seem much more likely. Uh, certainly Kamar

(43:00):
Rocker at this point too. They views as a top
of the rotation guy. That's what he was drafted to
be and they still want him to be that now.
The one reason it made some sense to me, and
if there is any wavering on the Rangers part, like
we can be almost one hundred percent sure he won't
end up in the closers role from what you heard,

(43:21):
but they were willing to put Jack Lighter in the bullpen,
so you know, but again as a need. They weren't
going to change him to a bullpen guy, but it
was just no place to put him. He was going
to be at the big league level this year. If
there was no place to put him, he'd be there.
So anyway, it'll be an interesting thing to watch, but
it clearly will not be Kamar Rocker as a closer

(43:44):
for the Rangers. The plan now and long term is
for him to be a starter and the top of
the rotation starter for this Rangers team. So yeah, we
kind of expected that. Let's look at the pitching matchup
for the next couple of games, these final two against Toronto,
and you see there, it's Nathan Evaldi today and then

(44:08):
Tyler Mally tomorrow, each of the sub one eighty or
eight one eighty or lower e ra Jeff, this is
I mean, again after de Gram yesterday. This is really
this is a recipe for success. It is you need
to just come through with a few runs to support

(44:29):
these guys and get a couple of wins and win
this series and get this home stand off to a
great start.

Speaker 6 (44:35):
Yeah, and I guess looking at that, the math in
my head earlier was a little wrong. De Grom will
pitch Sunday, but he'll he'll have one day of rest
instead of I'll have an extra an extra day. Nevertheless,
a couple couple of people here, CJ. I don't think
it's a bad option for him. I don't know why
he Chrisylle would be up so upset unless I got
Rocker upset.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
I think that's part of it.

Speaker 6 (44:55):
I think the player and the agent got upset, and
so it was extra high assle for Chris Young Galaga Champ,
a little more cynical, was probably pissed about Rocker possibly
finding out about stuff they hadn't discussed with him first,
let alone planned. I'm just judging by their reaction yesterday.

Speaker 1 (45:17):
You had to be there.

Speaker 6 (45:18):
I don't think they talked about it. Yeah, I really
don't think they talked about it. So anyway, all right,
there's the bell interesting thoughts. We appreciate you as always.
We've got the cleanup segment coming up, and we'll get
to some more of your thoughts too. We want to
run through those and make sure we address each and
everything you're saying through the chat. We always appreciate you
doing that. The cleanup segment comes next. It's the DLS

(45:39):
Rangers podcast. You can always tell when Jeff and I
are both headed to the ballpark. That's right, because we
generally don't wear merch, at least not until they get
us those DLS polos.

Speaker 1 (45:52):
I wonder if we can don't make one ourselves. We
probably could probably copyrighted, but Tom Greevy used to do that.
He'd go just take a Ranger's logo. And say make
and they'd say we can't, mister Grieve, it's copyrighted, and
he's like make it so. But anyway, we will look
forward to the the DLLs polos. In the meantime, you

(46:15):
should get yourself a DLLs T shirt, get the flag,
get the mug. We know those stars shirts are selling
like hotcakes. The Moose one is great, and of course
the Finish Mafia is great. Get one today so that
you can support this team and help them to victory tonight.
We love all the merchandise that we have at store

(46:37):
dot Allcitynetwork dot com. You're going to really appreciate these
shirts and anything else you get there if you just
go out to stort out all Citynetwork dot com and
buy it.

Speaker 6 (46:48):
Yeah, and if you become a diehard, as we tell
you every day, you get a shirt for free.

Speaker 1 (46:54):
Anyway.

Speaker 6 (46:54):
Yeah, so's it's seventy nine to ninety nine for one year,
six dollars and fifty cents a month and the free
shirt which is valued at thirty four ninety nine. So yeah,
it's such a great deal. Now I'm gonna tell you guy,
I'm gonna let you guys in in a little secret.
If you're sitting there right now listening, thinking, all right,

(47:17):
today is the day I'm gonna do it. Wait till tomorrow.
I'm not going to say anything else. Just trust me,
wait till tomorrow. But anyway, you wouldn't steer your wrong
if you can't control yourself and you do it today
or if you want to do it tomorrow. Great coverage
of the four major teams. We've added some wings coverage

(47:38):
in there. We wanted to add colleges. So come and
die hard today. You won't regret it. We do agree,
I do agree, and we do appreciate you, each and
every one of you that have become diehards. We're converting
a lot. We want to convert more, and starting tomorrow
I think we really will. Okay, that's that was a tease,

(47:59):
as we say, quickly through some of the stuff in
this in the cleanup segment so we can get to
your thoughts. So Tony through the live hitters, Jeff, they
had kind of a five batters who actually simulated at bats.

Speaker 1 (48:13):
It wasn't just BP type stuff, but they were actually
simulating at bats and they were drawing walks and they
were grounding out and whatever they would do. And you know,
he was great. He was throwing ninety seven. He threw
pretty much all of his pitches, and you know, it
looks like he's on track to become that two way

(48:34):
player for the first time for the LA Dodgers, which
I know has got to be an exciting prospect for them.
By the ways. Also, he hit leadoff home runs in
each of the last two games, and I think he's
at nineteen bombs for the year.

Speaker 6 (48:47):
Yeah, he's pretty good, and you know, it'll be interesting
to see though, how the Dodgers navigate this real Will,
because he has to has to go out and pitching games.
You know, he can't just throw six inning simulating games.
He needs to go out and pitch and experience stuff,
feel the feel the adrenaline, if you will. So if

(49:12):
I were you, guys, I would kind of monitor the
Frisco schedule, you know, because Vegas here, no, Well, the
Dodgers double a Affilies is Tulsa, Tulsa, So Will Will
the Mighty Tulsa is becoming to Frisco anytime soon. June
twenty four, Ash twenty nine, they are at Ryder's Field,

(49:35):
so that could be an opportunity for.

Speaker 1 (49:41):
Maybe to see mister o tawny pitch in a rehab start.

Speaker 6 (49:47):
I don't know. I wasn't with the boy and the wife.
We went to Oklahoma City for baseball over over the
weekend and we went to the comments. They're now called
the Comments. The comments went to a com Mets game
against the river Cats of Sacramento. So the Dodgers are
Oklahoma's Oklahoma City is the Dodgers trip lay affiliate. So

(50:09):
maybe you could head up, head up to OKC. Maybe
I don't know, I haven't seen the Round Rock schedule.
Maybe they'll appear in Round Rock during this time, so
there might be some opportunities to watch him watch o'tawny
rehab live in our state and even in our area.

Speaker 1 (50:26):
Yeah, pretty cool, Yeah, all of it, all of it
very driveable round Rock, Oklahoma City or obviously up to Frisco.
So anyway, it's still it's still an amazing, amazing story.
And uh, you know, it doesn't seem like he's missed
a beat despite having a second surgery, a second elbow
surgery on that on that right elbow. Uh did you

(50:47):
hear about Marcelo Meyer? I know who he is. Got
called up Okay, he to the Red Sox. Yes, yes,
and he's like the number two prospect in their organization,
and he is the number you know, seven or eight
and in baseball right now, great prospect. He got called
up over the weekend and he couldn't find his car keys.

(51:09):
Oh boy, So he had to have one of the
clubbies at Woolster, Oh yeah, drive him Wolster. The Woo's
had to have one of the clubbies drive him, uh
to Fenway U. And it was a double header. It
was one of those where he got called up for
the second game of the doubleheader. Uh so he uh,
the club he drives him and they're asking him when

(51:31):
he gets to Boston and so what about the keys?
He says, Oh, I haven't had him for about three weeks.
It just didn't It didn't really bother me before, but
now I really need him because I got the call up.
So unbelievable, just like yeah, it's all good, It's I
don't I can't. Can you imagine for three weeks you

(51:52):
don't have your car?

Speaker 6 (51:53):
No, you know, it's it's kind of it's kind of
kids these days, like boy, Like I was talking to
one of Henry's friend's dad the other day and he's
talking about his you know, his daughter's old enough to drive.
She's she's going to be a senior high school and
she only now has her permit. She just didn't want
to drive. Yeah, it's like, are you crazy? I know,

(52:13):
I couldn't wait, we were dying.

Speaker 1 (52:15):
I couldn't. I swear. It was like freedom, you know exactly.
And then these kids look at it like it's a chore.
Like mom and dad have always driven me around. I
kind of like that they might I have a chauffeur, right, yeah,
so all right, that's our faultest parents, we're driving you
around too much. But anyway, uh so the kid anyways,

(52:35):
I don't I don't know it's gonna I was thinking
that's a prime opportunity for a youngster to get himself
a car deal. Uh there in Boston. But we'll see
what happens there. Uh So yeah, that that I just
thought that was like, you say, that's so typical. Do
we have the oh soun a call up video prophet? Yeah,
we were gonna show this Sunday, but and you've heard
the story he was told, uh you know by is

(52:58):
it Josh Jones? The he that he's in trouble and
Johnson Josh Johnson, thank you, funny guy. Yeah, and yeah,
you're in trouble. Skip wants to see you're in trouble.
Get called to the office as soon as like, what
did I do? How can I be?

Speaker 5 (53:12):
What did I do wrong?

Speaker 1 (53:13):
But he was worried. Here's what ensued when he got
to the office.

Speaker 8 (53:19):
That's you're in a different ball perk all the time. Okay,
but in Chicago the laser really good. And in Arlington
there's a roof, so you're probably not going to lose
any balls enough in the sky. Okay, I'm playing there. Okay.

Speaker 7 (53:40):
So when you go to Chicago and margin during the
Major League game, we're all behind you. All right, congratulations,
what do you think?

Speaker 8 (53:55):
I don't know my head?

Speaker 7 (54:00):
Yeah, go your brother all right, thank you? Tell him
I love.

Speaker 1 (54:12):
Yeah, that's great. You know you're going there thinking you're
in trouble. Yeah, and you get that kind of news,
and I'm glad it was on camera so that we
could all enjoy it. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (54:22):
And there was a Josh Bonifet who was in the
seated next to him. He's the farm director. So you
walk in the farm director and the manager and you've
been told you're in trouble. I might be a little
nervous too. Doug Davis is the manager down there, and
round Rock is that Oklahoma City June seventeenth through twenty two. Okay,

(54:43):
so you'd have to drive to Oklahoma City Bricktown Ballpark.
I think it's called nice.

Speaker 1 (54:49):
It was fine.

Speaker 6 (54:49):
Beer's expensive, is it? It was a little high wow.
However on Tuesday it's cheap. Okay, yeah, okay, all right.

Speaker 1 (54:58):
So we want to remind you, first of all, happy
birthday to the Hall of Famer Eric Nadell. Oh. Yes,
our buddy Eric is seventy four years old today and
we want to wish him a happy birthday, and of course,
in honor of his birthday, for the past thirteen years
now or this will be the thirteenth year where he
has a birthday benefit concert, and it's gotten so big

(55:22):
that it's moved from where it's always been at the
Kessler to the Longhorn Ballroom. It's this Thursday, doors open
at seven o'clock, and you definitely want to get yourself
some tickets to go support a great cause, Eric's mental
health charities that he's always been such a great supporter
of and see some great music. He is always on

(55:46):
the cutting edge of finding really great young talent. So
Longhorn Ballroom Thursday night your chance to celebrate Eric Nadell's
birthday with him. Happy birthday to Eric Nadell. I tell
you what for seventy four? Damn.

Speaker 6 (56:02):
Yeah, looks good, gets around good, Yeah, sharp, strong, voice
is super sharp.

Speaker 1 (56:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (56:10):
Yeah, that's a that's a surprising that's a surprising number.

Speaker 1 (56:14):
If you don't know anything of you just know. Yeah,
if you're just walking to the guy.

Speaker 6 (56:18):
Yeah, like when he was here on the other show,
I didn't think I was sitting next to with a
seventy four year old I know, yeah, crazy, Yeah, I
think he was seventy three at the time.

Speaker 1 (56:26):
Get my point. Yeah, no, yeah, I mean yeah, you're
looking at now, he's like seventy five. You're gonna keep going.
And again, that's the cool thing about doing baseball. You
can keep doing it kind of as long as you want.
It's still fun and he's still having fun. He's having
more and more fun lately, you know, because of various
changes they've made to the scheduling, and doesn't do every

(56:48):
game and things like that. So yeah, in fact, I
think he told us on the show that day. He
doesn't really see any end in sight.

Speaker 6 (56:55):
Yeah, yeah, you know. And he had the issue with
his eyes a few years yars ago that he got fixed.
And then at the mental health he's very open about
the mental health situation, which you know, he was able
to get that squared away. And he you know, he's
now he's now called the World Series last out yep,
which he had waited a really long time to do.

(57:18):
So he's he's already in the Hall of Fame Rangers
and National Baseball Hall of Fame. So not a lot
more to do except to have fun, you know. And
and and if you listen to the broadcast with him
and Matt they're they're good, they're entertaining. It's it's still
high quality production and he's right in the middle of it.

Speaker 1 (57:37):
Yeah, very current, very current. So Ranger two six, we
like you, uh, first of all saying this channel is
the best, Thank you Rangers. That a two of six
so much two five sorry my bad. And then also
I like your prediction. I mean, look, that will help
talk me off the ledge if the Rangers get going
tonight with a seven to two victory. Uh. And and truthfully,

(57:57):
and in many ways, we'll hope that that's without Cory Seeker,
give him a couple more days, which would be three
counting the off day, and then bring him back for
the weekend. But we'll see how all that works out. Uh,
is there anything else we will we have missed in
the chat over here, Jeff, I don't know the roof.

Speaker 6 (58:17):
The roof is going to be close today. I know
that's got some it's got some people a little upset
about it. It seems like a day where it is
you know, we I believe I shared this the some
of the writers have. We're joking around, although pretty serious.
Over under September tenth, the next time the roof is open,

(58:37):
and I took the over you know, it was in
the middle of that that week and maybe the last
homosand where it was scorching hot, So maybe that was
what led me to think that. But it looks like,
you know, the temperatures are going to be pretty much
in check this week. They're not going to be too crazy.
The question is the rain threat and tonight tonight it

(58:59):
says it weather Channel here it says is only two percent,
So I don't know about that one Tomorrow though, evening
thunderstorms Thursday off chance matter, Friday chance of rain. You know,
I wouldn't be surprised Saturday gets to eighty eight. So
maybe that's too hot. Yeah, that's too hot.

Speaker 1 (59:17):
Maybe maybe Friday. Yeah, but even well, but you say
there's a chance that thunderstorms tomorrow night, because tomorrow night
the weather Tomorrow's thunderstorms. Oh yeah, yeah, that's bad. I
still don't think they've had a game where they've started
with it open and been like, oh shit, it's gonna rain.
We got to close it. Yeah, and yeah that's allowed.

(59:37):
I mean, it is allowed. I've seen it happen in
Seattle all the time, all the time. Yeah. So I
was sitting there because it's the their Their roof comes
from right field all the way over to the third
baseline and the well, the photo well where i'd sit
when I was doing the sidelines for the Rangers is
right there and right next to the third base dugout.

(59:58):
I'm just getting pelted with rain, and then I'm watching
that damn roof go okay, good in here in a minute.
Yeah that's gonna drive me off. So yeah, anyway, they
all move fairly fast, but not when you're getting pelted
with rain. So anyway, that's gonna do it for today's show.
We appreciate everybody in the chat so much. We appreciate
you keeping us honest and hanging out with us. Tomorrow

(01:00:21):
it's a postgame show, so we're scheduled for nine forty five.
Jeff will be at the Ballyard Profit and I'll be here.
It's a postgame show tomorrow, and then we're back on
Thursday at our normal one o'clock time. Maybe we'll be
talking about the beginning of a wind streak and I
will be able to at least take one damn foot
off this ledge. All right, thanks for joining us. We'll

(01:00:43):
