Yeah, feeling good to say the least, I would say,
maybe feeling great or maybe just feeling normal. This is
what the Rangers expected to do this season. Hi there,
Welcome to the DLLs Rangers Podcast. John Radigan here, Jeff
Wilson there. We're both seek the comfort of our homes
today as we get ready for a big week of
(01:38):
late night baseball. Kat is taking care of us here
with the all the things that she does and does
so well, so we appreciate her. We appreciate you hang
out with us, chat with us. It's a huge week,
not only because of this West coast road trip, but
of course because of the trade deadline. We get into
that a lot more later. We've got a whole segment
(01:58):
devoted to which has written in what we are hearing
about what the Rangers might do. But Jeff, we've got
to start with the best home stand at least winning
percentage wise of nine games or more in franchise history.
Speaker 7 (02:14):
I mean, you know, they could They couldn't have drawn
it up any better. I mean, you know, realistically, of
course they could have gone. I know, and really they
could have won the game they lost. But man, you know,
to to under the circumstances to come out and do
what they did. You know, I would have been I
(02:36):
would have been okay with six and three or even
five and four. Five and four would have given him
a five hundred record, you know, but gosh, eight and one.
They are now six games above five hundred, tied for
the last wild card spot, which is stunning, you know,
just and really they're only four games out of the
(02:56):
first place. The divisions within grasp all of a sudden.
It was eleven games two weeks ago. Yeah, yeah, a
little more than two weeks ago. So they've they've done
everything that that the front office needed to see them do,
if not more. And so now they're firmly obviously going
(03:17):
to be buying at the trade deadline, and it just
seems like everything's coming together at the right time.
Speaker 6 (03:24):
Now.
Speaker 7 (03:25):
You know, these next two weeks are gonna be tough,
you know, Angels, Mariners, Yankees, Phillies. You know, it's gonna
be a tough two weeks. But that doesn't matter. The
Rangers are contenders and they're gonna be adding pieces.
Speaker 6 (03:38):
Yeah, because again, the last couple of weeks included other
first place teams, which you know, which are the Tigers
and the and the Astros at the time. Although it's
funny because we've always said, Jeff, since the beginning of
the year, we kind of know what this team can be,
This Rangers team, we kind of feel like they're not it.
They're not clicking, especially the offense. We knew that. We've
(03:59):
said it a million times, and you have been the
champion of Look, Houston's going to hit a rough patch,
and I'm kind of like, I wish I could say
that with certainty. But at the time they turn around,
they got some no name guy in there. But now
with eighteen players, Jeff, eighteen guys on the disabled list,
(04:23):
if they haven't run into that rough patch.
Speaker 7 (04:26):
Yeah, you know, the in the series right before the
All Star Break kind of kind of drove that home.
The injuries, and they were really just kind of faking it,
you know, with the guys that they had in their lineup,
Guys who are up from the minors and not really
like great minor league players either, you know, and and
(04:46):
a lot of part time players. They're big off season investment.
Christian Walker has struggled. They traded for each Petez and
that's worked out pretty well. Jeremy Peny is hurt though
you know, he was an All Star player. Jordan and
Alvarez still uh you know, M I A. And it's
(05:07):
just it's it's kind of messy. And then you know,
they have they have Hunter Brown, great pitcher, and Franbervaldez
obviously really really good. Uh, but they're down a bunch
of starters, and so this is this is the time
to make ay. Now some of these guys are getting
ready to come back. That's fine, but they're there. It
(05:28):
just it seemed like it was being held together with
uh with with with tape and uh uh you know, glue,
and it just wasn't gonna hold.
Speaker 6 (05:38):
Yeah, and it obviously hasn't. And it's it's very interesting because,
like you, I mean, the Rangers less than a month
ago were eleven games back in the in the American
League West. They're now at four. They've made up seven
games in that time. And in the month of July,
the Rangers have just a silly good record. And in
(05:59):
the month of July they are averaging five point eight
runs per game.
Speaker 7 (06:07):
Yeah, And and you know, I think it started. I've
said this, it started that the second game at Baltimore
on the twenty fourth of June. They went out there
and the night before had been shut out, and then
they won the game in extra innings, played smart baseball.
Sam Haggerty had that exciting sequence there where he drew
(06:28):
a walk, stole two bases, and scored on a sack
fly to tie the game. After they'd given up the
three homers to surrender a four tough and lead. They
went out and played well and scored a lot the
next night. And even even when they were losing those
extra inning games to the Mariners and the Blue and
I'm not the Blue Jays, the Orioles again, they were
(06:50):
scoring a lot of runs in those games. Yeah, and
then you know, so after in that aftermath, you have
your bullpen that's tired, so it's pretty agile. But really,
after the San Diego series, when everybody caught their breath
on that off day on the seventh, uh, they went
to the Angels offense was pretty good, and you know,
they had two walk off lossages which stunk, but you
(07:13):
could kind of feel it. And then the Astro series
just good baseball, and then and then so so when
they went into the All Star break after winning that series,
there was some definite momentum and then it it manifested itself,
It carried over and lo and behold. Now now we're
talking about the playoffs.
Speaker 6 (07:35):
Amazing, Yeah, playoffs, top playoffs, so amazing that what we're
seeing is guys just doing what we thought they'd do.
David Murphy said this in the game in the broadcast yesterday,
he said, this lineup. He said, at the beginning of
spring training, I looked at how this lineup could set up,
(07:57):
and I thought, there is not one breather in the lineup.
And you and I both know there were about eight
breathers in the lineup for a long time this year.
But yesterday, yesterday in particular, it was one of those games.
I mean that at bat by Wyatt Langford in the
first inning where he had two strikes on him and
(08:19):
the basis loaded and had to come through and did
that was huge.
Speaker 7 (08:24):
Absolutely, And that's the difference. The Rangers weren't doing that
for two months. They couldn't they could not get a
clutch hit, and uh, you know, it looked like, oh geez,
they're gonna waste this great opportunity because Langford hasn't been
hitting real well. But he goes and puts the ball
in the gap and it's three to nothing, and then
you know, you know, Jack Lader gave one right back
(08:47):
and it could have been worse. But then they kept
they kept adding on and then and it was up
and down the lineup. You know, guys who have been struggling.
Josh Young, for instance, uh came through. Wyatt as he
talked about, came through. It's just uh, even Josh Smith
has struggled a little bit and he came through. So
(09:08):
when this, when this team is is hitting one through nine,
when the bottom of the lineup is hitting, they're going
to be really really hard to keep down, you know.
And then and then this is really You're not getting
a ton from from Simeon out of the All Star break,
not a lot from Garcia of the All Star break,
but they're still finding a way to score enough runs
(09:30):
and and at this point enough runs with the pitching
staff still leading the majors in e R a uh,
you know, four and you're gonna win. That's the magic
number still, I think.
Speaker 6 (09:39):
Yeah, by a ridiculous amount. The pitching staff is leading
an e R by like a third of a run
at this point in the season. It's it's just amazing
how much better the Rangers pitching staff is than everybody else's.
Right now, it continues to be. They're they're planning on
improving it some at least from the bullpen standpoint. But
(10:02):
I also really liked on the home well a couple
so many things we liked on the home stand, but
I really liked the Kamara Rockers start the night before
where he clearly just didn't have it right, but he
held them the only three runs. He fought through it.
He got to ninety five pitches in four innings. Sake,
(10:24):
he couldn't find the plate, but you know, he fought,
and I thought that was a really big learning moment
for a young guy.
Speaker 7 (10:33):
Yeah, and I think that lighter learned something yesterday too.
You know, when you pitch with a lead, when you
have a lead, you're supposed to attack the strike zone. Yeah,
and he comes out in the second inning, and what
was he do? He walks the first two guys. So
then Jonah him goes out there and basically Jonah said,
he told him, trust your stuff, throw it down the
(10:54):
middle and because his jack stuff is really effective in
the strike zone. And from there he was he was great.
You know, the uh didn't didn't allow a run in
his final four innings, was on the attack, only walked
one guy in the final four innings after walking two
in the in the second so and he ended up
(11:16):
with seven strikeouts. So I think I think you know
that mentality. Okay, it's eight to one, you know, make
him put the ball in play, make him hit it,
don't walk anybody, you know, be aggressive in the strike zone.
That can pay off for him in closer games. So
I think that's an opportunity for him to move forward
a little bit too. With the you know, not being
(11:38):
able to put guys away and and the times where
he gets too fine.
Speaker 6 (11:42):
He doesn't need to be too fine.
Speaker 7 (11:43):
He just needs to throw the ball around the play
and he's gonna be in pretty good shape. H you know,
you look at this, uh this home stand. The Graminavaldi
only started once a piece, you know, the Rangers. The
Rangers won with their other their other three guys in
the rotation. Said, so that's another encouraging thing. You know,
saw the bullpen turn over a little bit with Luke
(12:05):
Jackson getting the ultimately released signed on with the Tigers,
but John Gray replaces him pitch twice pitches twice and pitches.
Speaker 6 (12:13):
Really really well.
Speaker 7 (12:14):
I have a feeling we'll talk about John Gray a
lot this week, but this is a this is just
this is what This is what they envisioned in spring
training and now, And honestly, I don't think they envisioned
the pitching being this well, especially the bullpen, So I
think this is beyond beyond what they possibly envisioned. But
(12:36):
they always they always thought they'd be contenders.
Speaker 6 (12:39):
Yeah, they did, and they're hitting like contenders right now.
We didn't mention jonah Heim among those guys who's on
an uptick offensively, but what a job he's been doing
at the plate as well as behind the plate. And
it is kind of interesting. He's been pressed into more
service as a defender right as a catcher, and he's
hitting and we remember twenty three he did that. It's
(13:02):
kind of it's like, we want to give Jonah rest,
and yet when we give them to rest, it's a
love of diminishing returns, you know, yeah, you know.
Speaker 7 (13:10):
And and Higashioka should be able to to go tonight.
So that's that's a good thing, because you know, too
much of jonah the thinking was in the off season
leads to less.
Speaker 6 (13:26):
Of Jonahs, So.
Speaker 7 (13:28):
The reverse is what they were going for. But you know,
I tell you what, something else to consider it the
trade deadline. Rangers could really use another catcher, you know,
they they they're they're pretty hurt. They're hurting on the
catching depth. So we'll get to that in a minute.
But yeah, you know Jonah having the big thing that
(13:51):
the takeaway from from twenty three.
Speaker 6 (13:55):
Was that.
Speaker 7 (13:57):
Jonah had veteran guys supporting him, Garver and then Austin
Hedges who were able to give him feedback. He didn't
really have that last year, but Kyle Higashioka, on the
other hand, provides that. So maybe that's another thing that
helps Jonah, you know, stay fresh and mentally sharp and
(14:19):
productive offensively.
Speaker 6 (14:21):
Yeah, sure has been working. It's again. His his hit
to tie things up on Saturday Night was almost as
clutch as as oh, sure Wyatt Langford's, but maybe more
clutch than what Wyat Langford's was. And that it's not
a guy who earlier this season you would expect to
do that in that situation.
Speaker 7 (14:40):
Yeah, and but he does kind of have the knack
for coming a big Jonah. You know, you can think
about Opening Day in twenty four when you know he
had the bad sequence behind the plate, but then he
won it extra indings against the Cubs, so he has
a lot of flare. Further, d Marcus Simeon said that,
(15:02):
so maybe he is one of the guys you want
to up. The dogs are barking, dogs are barking.
Speaker 6 (15:09):
Dogs are going crazy. The dogs are going crazy. So
we we've got lots more to talk about on this show.
We'll get the dog's opinions on the trade deadline, and
we will and we will also chat with you about that.
Coming up next, we'll talk about this road trip because
when we were starting this homestand Matt Hicks and Dave
Raymond and I were chatting and Hicksy said, if the
(15:32):
five and five road trip before the All Star break
will be wasted if they don't go six and three.
Well they went better than six and three, so it
wasn't wasted. But now you don't want to waste this
eight and one, and so the road trip is so important,
So we talk about that next on the DLS Rangers podcast.
Speaker 7 (15:54):
John, I feel like I'm stepping on your turf here
talking about game time.
Speaker 6 (15:57):
I swear I hope Nicole's okay with it.
Speaker 7 (16:00):
But uh, you know, game Time is our favorite app
on the for the secondary ticket market, and you can
get all kinds of tickets, whether it be a concert,
sporting events, comedy shows, theater.
Speaker 6 (16:12):
You can get it.
Speaker 7 (16:14):
Not just in in DFW, but across the country.
Speaker 6 (16:17):
You can.
Speaker 7 (16:18):
You can avail yourself to events if you're on vacation
or something like that.
Speaker 6 (16:22):
Game Time.
Speaker 7 (16:23):
If you look right now, the next Rangers opponent is
the New York Yankees.
Speaker 6 (16:27):
That's always a tough ticket.
Speaker 7 (16:29):
And the Yankees you can you can from that that
that game on Monday thirty bucks you can get into
the global life field to see the pinstripers who and
Rangers might be catching them at the right time. With that,
Aaron Judges fell on list. But anyway, game Time, you
download the app, use the cod dls and you get
(16:50):
twenty dollars off your first purchase.
Speaker 6 (16:53):
Hey, and the reason I didn't do game Time this
year this time, sorry, Nicole, is because Shady Rays. I'm
like the spokesman for Shady Rays. I've got two pair.
I'm about to get a third. I again, as I've
told you all, they gave us a pair and I
liked them so much. I bought a pair. They're great.
I dropped the I dropped the ogs yesterday on the
(17:15):
cement again and no scratch, nothing. And the great thing is,
even if they had been scratched, I would have just
sent them back in and Shady Rays would have repaired them.
And as I've mentioned a few times on here at
Shocking that if I screw up and lose them, then
Shady Rays replaces them. So I'm almost tempted to do
(17:36):
that just to see, like, are you really doing this?
But anyway, I'm not gonna because I like them too much.
You should go to Shadyrays dot com get yourself a
pair of polarized sunglasses and all these amazing styles. And
if you use the code d L L S thirty
five you get thirty five percent off your brand new
(17:57):
Shady Rays. All right, So this road trip, Jeff, you know,
we've we've looked at it for a long time. You're
going to Seattle because it's at the trade deadline, so
it's been kind of a red letter sort of a
road trip. Anyway, it becomes even more important now and
obviously the Rangers have been able to put a little
(18:18):
distance because of this road. This home stand between themselves
and the and the Angels, although the Angels are still
kind of nipping at their heels, but they've actually caught
the Mariners. And I just I just love to your
point about needing de Gram and Evaldi only once in
(18:38):
that homestand I love that you start this series in
Anaheim with the Gram and Evaldi.
Speaker 7 (18:47):
Yeah, that's that'll work, you know, that's that's gonna that's
gonna get you off on the right foot for sure.
No matter who the Angels throw, the Rangers are gonna
have the advantage.
Speaker 6 (19:00):
I haven't seen it.
Speaker 7 (19:01):
It was listed as TVA, I thought, but they're they're
I've also seen they might be starting that Jack o'hannowitz
fella again.
Speaker 6 (19:08):
The Rangers are really good against They tattooed him.
Speaker 7 (19:12):
Then they get they get Kokuchi and Soriano, who are
the Angels two best guys, But Rangers fared okay against
him last time, you know. And this is this is
the and we've been saying it for a little while now,
this is the why the Rangers think they can can
(19:33):
be a tough out in the playoffs if they can
start every series or find a way to be close
to starting every series with the grom and of Valdi.
Holy cow, that puts them in an unbelievable spot. It's
gonna be really hard to beat those guys, both of
those guys. And I'm sure we said the same thing
(19:55):
about you, Darvish and Cole Hamil's in twenty sixteen. But
to have that one two punch, it doesn't matter who
the other team throws, the Rangers are gonna love their chances.
And so you know, that's pretty cool. And then you know,
with them available pitching Monday and Tuesday, I mean they'll
(20:16):
pitch the back end of the the series against the Mariners.
So this is a those two guys give you, give
you a.
Speaker 6 (20:25):
Chance, you know.
Speaker 7 (20:25):
And then our guy Patrick Corbin there on Wednesday. Uh,
just love the guy. He's fantastic and and a good
test for the rookies to open the series in Seattle.
But they're in a good spot here, the Rangers are.
Speaker 6 (20:44):
Yeah, they really are. They're in a great spot when
you figure they get to start the road trip with
so much confidence just from the home stand but also
knowing I mean, I do believe, and we've talked about
it on the show. Before they walk out to the
field with the greater amount of confidence and a better
feeling about themselves as a team. When Jacob de Grom's starting.
Speaker 7 (21:09):
Yeah, and you know he just uh, you just have
to know when you walk into the clubhouse that day,
if you're a position player, you know, take all the
pressure off. We only have to score one or two
all right now. It just so turns out that they're
scoring him a tons of a ton of runs this year.
Maybe that's maybe that is what's behind it, because even
(21:31):
when even when the Rangers weren't scoring runs and not
supporting their starting pitchers, de Grom was somehow still getting
the support. And that should be it should be that
thought process with Vivaldi too, Like this guy's not going
to give up anything. We just have to we just
have to have an okay day. We don't have to
be great, you know, we should be fine if we
just give him a little support. So it's it's it's
(21:54):
got to be a great feeling as a position player,
as a manager, you know, to be like, oh, uh,
Jacob and Nathan are pitching these two games.
Speaker 6 (22:03):
We're not our.
Speaker 7 (22:04):
Losing streaks gonna end or our winning streak's going to continue.
You know, it's just gonna be really really hard to
lose two in a row with those guys on the mat.
Speaker 6 (22:12):
So Jack Peterson has had some of his best baseball played,
certainly in his native southern California. So can we hope that,
you know, maybe Jock, like everybody else, has begun to
look like what we thought they were, what Chris Young
thought they were. Can we hope for that out of
Jock this series?
Speaker 7 (22:33):
You know, I I it's kind of it's kind of
like Patrick Corban at the start of the year. You know,
we were kind of holding our breath. Well, we thought
we thought Jock was gonna be fine, but then he
you know, he ends up hitting one thirty two before
he gets hurt, and and and then goes on a
you know, a two game rehab assignment. Uh, comes out
(22:54):
yesterday and goes over he needs at bats, you know.
And there's something else that I thought of, And John,
we're old school enough that guys used to go on
long rehab assignments if they missed this much time.
Speaker 6 (23:11):
Right, they'd be gone for a week, two months.
Speaker 7 (23:14):
They would go down there and get twenty or thirty
at bats. And now it's like a two games, You're fine,
You know, and they're like, oh, he took live batting practice.
Speaker 6 (23:23):
That's not the same thing. You know.
Speaker 7 (23:25):
The guys they bring in from from the system or
sometimes are guys who are an a ball, they're not.
They're not bringing in major league pittures to face them.
So you know, it's I think it's going to take
a little while. Of course, the theory is he can't
be any worse than he was, right, and you hope,
(23:46):
you hope that theory holds true, But I don't.
Speaker 6 (23:50):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (23:50):
You know, if he had if he has a short
leaseh or not, you would suspect coming off of injury,
he'll get some leash. But if by the end of
this month it's not any better, it's time to send
him down. There's just no other way around it.
Speaker 6 (24:03):
Right. It's a hard decision to make because you're paying
them a lot of money.
Speaker 7 (24:07):
Yeah yeah, and it's tied up next year too. It's
not just a one year deal, it's just two years
of this and they that needs to get fixed.
Speaker 6 (24:16):
Yeah. Yeah, that's a tough one. That's one of the
things we'll talk about with regard to the trade deadline
coming up in the next segment. The other thing we've
got to discuss here is the fact that the second
stop on the road trip, well where you will join them,
is Seattle, and that's just been a house of horrors
for the Rangers really throughout I don't know a long time, Jeff.
Speaker 7 (24:40):
Yeah, And it's strange. And you know, I've covered some
bad Mariners teams, and even those teams seem to always
you know, be a foreign in the Ranger side.
Speaker 6 (24:53):
And Kyle Seeger and.
Speaker 7 (24:56):
Killing him all those years, even when they're Rangers were
you know, the best, the best team in the league,
the division. He always found a way. They always found
a way. It'll be interesting to see what they look
like on Thursday and Friday, because you know, they're in
hot pursuit of u henniosres.
Speaker 6 (25:18):
Though.
Speaker 7 (25:18):
I tell you what, you know, they had him once
and it didn't work out all that girl, you know,
and maybe you know, he could have found something since then.
Obviously it appears he has. He's been a tremendous player
here in the last you know, one hundred and sixty
two games. His numbers are phenomenal. So we'll see what
We'll see what what they decide to do, and maybe
(25:41):
they add some punch to their lineup, but they still
don't score. They still don't score in that ballpark. They
still pitch really well. I think their bullpen has showed
some some cracks this year. Munos has been good, but
not great. They're looking to get some more bullpen help
in there, so I you know, there's opportunity to win
the games. I wouldn't expect any high scoring games by
(26:02):
any stretch. And and and maybe now that the Rangers'
fortunes have turned, you know, they're starting to get the
good breaks as opposed to everything seeming to go against them.
Maybe maybe they'll get a couple of good breaks here
at that ballpark. I haven't checked the weather, but I
can assure you even if it's eighty five degrees, it's
(26:24):
going to be cold.
Speaker 6 (26:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (26:27):
There's just something about that ballpark. It's never worn.
Speaker 6 (26:30):
Yeah, No, it's always chilly in there. And to your
point with the you know the thing we all have
to remember as they face a staff like the Mariners
throw out there, and they're going to face four of
the five starters. So and when you face the staff
like that, we can't expect necessarily five point eight runs
(26:53):
a game. Now, if the Rangers continue to do that
type of thing. Great, but but it's unlikely that they
will break against a team like that.
Speaker 7 (27:03):
Yeah and and yeah, so but I think you know
that going into into into the Seattle series, even even if.
Speaker 6 (27:13):
You know they weren't any good.
Speaker 7 (27:15):
You just don't see a lot of runs scored at
that building. But but you know it'll be a little warmer,
so theoretically the ball will fly a little more than
it does in April and May. When it's you know,
forty degrees at first pitch, it's gonna be I just looked, Uh,
it's gonna be in the upper seventies for the whole
(27:36):
series day game on Saturday and Sunday, So it'll be nice.
But again it's just not for whatever reason, it's turned
into the last place on Earth Rangers want to play.
Speaker 6 (27:52):
Yeah, no doubt about that. So they've got to uh
and again they may be we said Seattle may be
bolstered by the and by some trade deadline acquisitions, and
certainly so might the Rangers be, because the deadline is Thursday,
And like we say, we've got a whole segment on
that and some thoughts about it coming up. But I
think that the road trip, especially given that what they
(28:15):
come back with are you know, the Yankees and the Phillies.
I don't know. I mean, the reality is all the
Rangers need to do, Jeff is is to just kind
of keep taking these things one game at a time,
you know, one at bad at a time. I think
they've finally gotten back to that and not sort of
freaking out about the big picture, right and just just
(28:39):
keep doing our thing, keep doing our thing, you know.
Speaker 7 (28:42):
And I don't know that they ever they ever freaked out.
You know, we kind of talked to we talked to
Josh Smith about it, and he said, nobody hit the
panic button. And he gave a lot of credit to
Simeon and Seeger because they're, you know, veteran guys and
they recognize the true totality of one hundred and sixty
two game season. They didn't get off to great starts
(29:03):
this season, those two guys, but they stuck with their
routine and knew that it would come around. And that's
what you know, one hundred and sixty two games is
such a long time. Fifty six games this is what
the Rangers have left is a really long time too.
So this isn't a time for that, you know, just
because they've gotten to where they've gotten on this homestand
you know, they can't take their foot off the gas.
Speaker 6 (29:24):
You know, they they have.
Speaker 7 (29:26):
To keep doing what they're doing, trying to maintain it,
stick to the routines that have started working for them,
whatever it is. And again, as you've noted, I don't
know last week or the week before, the Rangers have
the second hardest schedule in baseball by winning percentage in
the second half. And you know, they took care of
(29:48):
the Tigers. Okay, the A's and the Braves aren't aren't
very good. The Braves pitching is a disaster, my gosh.
And then you know, but Angels are a little bit
better and people five, but probably not as good as
they were at the All Star break, Mariners okay, Yankees, Phillies,
and you go down the list. There's two more series
with the Astros. You know this, this this schedule, and
(30:13):
I still think there's a trip to Toronto in there somewhere.
Speaker 6 (30:16):
I got to go face the Mets.
Speaker 7 (30:18):
So I mean, there's some there's some hard games, hard
series coming up. But a the Rangers are confident and
and and why wouldn't they be and you would think
that that this team, now that things have been corrected,
they understand what it takes now and they aren't gonna
(30:38):
they they will be able if they backtrack, they'll be
able to find the solution sooner.
Speaker 6 (30:45):
Yeah, I think that's exactly right. I think they've proven
that they have that in them, as they have found
some At this point, it really didn't just start with
this eight and one home stand. It really started, as
Jeff has said, maybe on June twenty fourth, which coincidentally
is the first day that Corey Seeger's on Bay Street began,
(31:06):
but sure at the beginning of July this thing got started.
So anyway, trade deadline talk coming up next, let's get
to it. It's next on the DLLs Rangers podcast.
Speaker 7 (31:22):
You know, we just got back from vacation, and John,
I'm sure, as it's been your experience, vacations are always
more expensive than you planned. And I bet the people
at Monarch Money realize that, and they're going to help
you plan for vacations, plan for your future, plan for college,
just plan for the life you want to live and
(31:43):
not scrambling day to day paycheck to paycheck, just squeaking
by and surviving. No, these people are money experts. They're
going to help you sort out your bills, your income
and make a plan to help you you live live
your best life. And and you know it's it's tricky.
(32:05):
And for those of you out there have kids, you know,
stuff comes up. Molly, our beautiful daughter has to have
three three teeth pulled. Well, there's a little hit for
you that your Yeah, because those little things like that,
that that Monarch Money can help you with. And I
tell you what We're we're gonna, We're gonna seriously consider
joining them because if you go to monarchmoney dot com
(32:30):
to get control of your overall finances, and if you
use the code d ls, you get fifty percent off
your first year. It's fifty percent off at Monarch money
dot com with the code d l S.
Speaker 6 (32:42):
Yeah. I love that idea. And one of the reasons
I missed yesterday's show and we're home today is I
got a little bad food on Saturday night. So I'm
I'm nursing a little food poisoning here. So I need
get a rugged road to keep my elect lights and
my water in right. Gatorade and water has pretty much
(33:04):
beend my diet for the last thirty six hours or so.
And there's no place, no cooler better than a Rugged
Road cooler to keep all that stuff cool as you
basically lay in the bed because you're so fricking tired
from all that throwing up, and then drink your gatorade
and you drink your water and you go back to sleep.
(33:25):
But anyway, it keeps nice and cold. Rugged Road is
a great cooler, built so well, built to last, easy, lightweight,
it floats. There are so many things to like about
the Rugged Road cooler. We love them. We know you
will too. Go to Rugged road dot com and get
ten percent off your Rugged Road cooler with the coded
l ls SO trade deadline nigh upon us. Jeff, It's
(33:51):
Thursday at five eastern right, five central central, Yes, I've central.
So here we go the Rangers, you know, even at
the beginning of the home stand, uh, And I love
that Chris Young essentially threw down the gauntlet and said, well,
(34:14):
let's see which direct direction this team is headed, and
if they had in the right direction, I'll do everything
I can to make sure that we are, you know,
bolstered in that fight. And obviously they did everything, uh
to you know, to to force his hand, for lack
of a better word, And so clearly, and we've been
(34:35):
saying it for a long time anyway, but clearly the
Rangers are buyers.
Speaker 7 (34:41):
Yeah, And and you know, at the at the deadline,
I with the momentum that they had kind of generated
and the way things were appeared to be going, I
thought they would still be buyers, with the caveat being
if they tanked on that homestand then maybe that would
change things. But far they did not take. They did
(35:02):
the absolute opposite. So now it's like, all right, what
does this team eat? Clearly and it's really it's not
a secret, and they need relief help. Nothing against the
guys who are in there now because they've been very good,
but man, they've had to work a lot.
Speaker 6 (35:17):
You know, these.
Speaker 7 (35:18):
Leverage or leaders have had to do a lot of work.
And you you know, from from day to day. You know, yes,
yesterday was the eight to one win was a blessing
because they were able to get through the game with
only three pitchers and none of their high leverage of
guys relievers. So you know, you expect to have a
full bullpen to day. But the Rangers are really in
(35:39):
management mode here, they're you know, it's like, all right,
they don't want to overwork these guys. They're trying to
give them a lot of rest. We see the ice
packs and whatnot in the in the clubhouse, and you know,
indications that you know, who's sore this time of year,
and what is sore year without Chris Martin because of
his calf injury. That's a hard guy replace John John
(36:02):
Gray again a wonderful addition there. And you know, but
you know, are the Rangers going to try to trade
him to free some salary to help him get a
couple of badass relievers. So we have to wait and see, obviously,
but relief help is number one, number two, and number
(36:23):
three on the list. A bench bat, preferably right handed,
is another possibility, I think again, a catcher is a possibility.
Starting pitcher, from what I've you know, heard, is not
a possibility unless it just kind of falls in their lap.
(36:44):
Have to be a situation where it would be a
controllable picture. And and but somebody who would be a
clear upgrade over the guys in their rotation now, and
there are a lot of starters out there, so we'll
see how that plays out. I would expect two relievers,
uh to be added and then and then a veteran
(37:06):
kind of you right handed.
Speaker 6 (37:08):
Batter well and then the relief pitching. Uh. You know,
a pool of players gets thinner every day. Uh. As
today we get word that Emmanuel class A is an
administrative leave force investigation into sports betting chefs. So you know,
(37:29):
there are a whole bunch of teams that want relievers.
And you know, guys, you know, Bautista went off on
in on the injured list last week, and now yeah,
class A goes off because of this one. Uh, less
and less guys from which to choose. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (37:46):
Yeah, the the class A thing, it's yeah, it's it's disappointing,
you know that that they find themselves in this situation.
Speaker 6 (37:59):
You know.
Speaker 7 (37:59):
And then and I think, you know, if a second
name came out, seems like he's been implicated by by
others involved in this thing.
Speaker 6 (38:10):
It doesn't look good for him.
Speaker 7 (38:11):
And uh, you know, the the brief time he was
with the Rangers, the takeaway was, oh man, he's talented,
but dumb as a post.
Speaker 6 (38:21):
And if if he.
Speaker 7 (38:23):
If he did this and sacrificed his future, uh, and
is going to have to forfeit all his money and
his career is over.
Speaker 6 (38:31):
You know what, what an idiot? You know? And and
then you.
Speaker 7 (38:35):
Know, a large part of me says that. But then, uh, also,
what does baseball expect now that they're in bed with
all these all these gambling sites and and and and whatnot?
How do you you know how it's hypocrisy? One O one,
(38:56):
It's just you know, you would you would think that
guys would know. It's it's the rule that everybody's learned.
Speaker 6 (39:05):
You know, Pete Rose.
Speaker 7 (39:07):
I'm sure Pete Rose was famous in the Dominican Republic too,
But gosh, these guys are still out there doing it.
And I but but to your point about relievers, Cleveland
does have a guy named Cade Smith, who who whose
name is kind of kind of out there. I would
(39:27):
think that he would become their closer. Big guy, strikes
out a lot of guys, young guy, controllable guy. He
would not come cheap in terms of prospects, but he
wouldn't in terms of money. And you know, I think
I think that's the kind of guy the Rangers are
going to have to go get if they're unable or
(39:48):
decide not to move salary. You know, the two guys
that are out there are John Gray and a Doulas Garcia.
Saturday night, the Rangers don't win without a Garcian John Gray, right,
you know, and it's it's it's hard to can you
upgrade over those guys? You know, if you trade Gray,
(40:10):
you're saving about four a little over four million. If
you trade Garcia, you're trading I don't know, a little
over three, So you're not you're that's seven million dollars
and you know that pushes you to let's say, thirteen
to sixteen million below the luxury tax. That that money
(40:32):
can go pretty fast. And you've got to include incentives
in that, you know, you gotta you still got to
pay off those incentives. So you never really know how
much money a team has to work with the Rangers,
I'm sure no. I don't think Ray Davis is going
to budge on this one. I know he's budged in
the past. But you know, considering that the Rangers aren't
(40:56):
division leaders at this point, they're the last wild card team,
I don't know that he's willing to go over. But
you know, as one of the front office guys said,
this is why we make the big money to figure
these things out. And you know, and there are there
are ways, you know, if you trade prospects, trade a
guy on the forty man so that he doesn't count
(41:18):
against your your the CBT, the Collective Artying tax, slashes
the luxury tax. You know, trade a guy like Justin
Foscue or or Dustin Harris or Blaine Krim, Guys like that,
Guys that you know you're gonna have to consider df
A in anyway to get to get sixty day. I
(41:39):
l guys back eventually, so maybe try to move them.
Speaker 6 (41:44):
I wouldn't.
Speaker 7 (41:45):
I would try to move Ezekiel to Rand. I know
he's got talent and it's well liked, but he has
to play every day to be effective, and the Rangers
don't have that opportunity for him. And if you're gonna,
you know, if you're if you're going to use that spot,
you know, get a veteran infielder or call up Cody
(42:05):
Freeman and just say the hell of it. You know,
we're we're going to go with this young guy who
showed pretty well and who can catch.
Speaker 6 (42:12):
But I think that.
Speaker 7 (42:16):
It's going to be tricky, and it's going to be
tricky to create salary space, and it's going to be
really hard to trade Grain and Garcia because they are
contributors to this team.
Speaker 6 (42:26):
Yeah, yeah, no doubt. And by the way, Cody Freeman,
who hit three bombs yesterday, got back to the minor
leagues and just knocked up, knocked three out of the yard.
He's like, let me come back. But yes, that's the thing, like,
which guys would you be willing to part with at
the minor league level? And I like some of the
(42:47):
names that you mentioned, you know, the foss Us, the
Crims of the world. As good as they are, as
good as they've shown, they just haven't been able to
make their way you know, consistently the big league level
for the Rangers. Now they might be able to for
another team, and that might get the attention. I mean,
those are fairly high ranked prospects, so that would get
(43:10):
the intention of the other teams. Because the reality is,
and again it depends on exactly what you're doing here,
you have to trade a lot of money to get
what we're talking about. If you're talking about them at
and to relief pitchers, right, I feel like there's just
(43:30):
gonna need to be a lot of money going the
other way, Tyler Malley's not even available right just because he's.
Speaker 7 (43:35):
Heart Yeah, and he's not expected back until late August.
So you know, that's a that's a name nobody's gonna
want to go after. So I mean, it's it's uh,
you know, now you can get teams to pick up money.
You know, Let's say the Rangers want to trade for
(43:56):
Let's say I don't know Sandy co Effects, and Sandy
Cofax is owed six million dollars the rest of the year. Well,
the Dodgers could eat four million of that six But
in exchange.
Speaker 6 (44:13):
You've got to.
Speaker 7 (44:15):
Raise the quality of prospect who you're sending back. So
that's and that's kind of the the line. You know,
the Rangers will have to be towing here, but I
think that you know, you've got to go get relievers.
And the good thing is if you don't go get
a top reliever, a top closer like Duran, let's say,
(44:37):
from the Twins or Pete Fairbanks from the Rays, although
I don't think fair Banks would break the bank, if
you don't go get one of them and just go
for these rental pieces, proven rental guys who are going
to be free agents. They don't cost anything prospect wise, right.
Speaker 6 (44:56):
That's that's why I've I've been an advocate of the
rental eyes because of that. Prospect wise, you don't have
to do much. And again you're allowed to sign him, right,
even though they're rentals, you're allowed to sign him.
Speaker 7 (45:09):
If you like her, buddy, sign yeah.
Speaker 6 (45:12):
Yeah, So we always say they're rentals, but if you
like the way the guy fit into your organization and everything.
You know, if a bed Nar and a Glacias comes
here and you love the way they fit in, sign them.
Speaker 7 (45:24):
Yeah yeah, and a couple people maybe it's just missed
the doing it.
Speaker 6 (45:29):
Twice.
Speaker 7 (45:30):
I have asked about Josh Spores and uh, you know,
I think Josh Spores is going to be with the
club at some point, but it's not twenty three.
Speaker 6 (45:44):
Josh sports.
Speaker 7 (45:45):
His velocity is still hovering in the lower nineties. It's
not going to get to the upper nineties. He and
the Rangers have been informed by Keith Meister, who did
the shoulder surgery, that Josh s Bores isn't going to
be back to his peak velocity until next year.
Speaker 6 (46:02):
Wow.
Speaker 7 (46:02):
So you know, the good news is the offspeed stuff
has been really, really good and he's commanding his pitches.
So if he can command let's say he gets it
to ninety three, ninety four, ninety three, ninety five, it's
gonna be okay, it's not gonna be dominant. It's not
gonna be the big strikeout guy that the Rangers want.
(46:23):
And so you know, you kind of look at these
free agent or I'm sorry, not free agent believers, but
the guys who are available at the deadline. It's like,
who's who's who strikes.
Speaker 6 (46:32):
Out guys.
Speaker 7 (46:35):
Yet knows where the ball is going, So you know
they're that even narrows the focus a little bit more.
You know, when the Rangers evaluate when they compare the
bullpen from last year to this year, they had the
guys who were really good strikeout guys. They also tended
to walk a lot of guys. This year's team, they
(46:56):
don't walk a lot of guys. This year's bullpen doesn't
walk a lot of guys, but they don't strike out
a lot.
Speaker 6 (47:01):
Of guys, right, And I still I still.
Speaker 7 (47:03):
Think that that's the key missing piece to this bullpen
is they don't have the guy who's going to come
out and just you know, you've got to run around
third on one out you need to strike out and
you have a guy who's going to come in and
get it, So i'd like to see that piece added.
And yeah, and and like your your little hook short
(47:24):
that you did John, if you if let's let's just
say and uh, grand grand illusion of grandeur here that
the Rangers.
Speaker 6 (47:35):
Go to the World Series.
Speaker 7 (47:38):
Do you want Robert Garcia closing out games for you?
Speaker 6 (47:41):
No?
Speaker 7 (47:42):
No, So you know you got to.
Speaker 6 (47:44):
Go get a guy. Yeah, yeah, and that's I think
that's a huge focus and I trust uh, I trust
see why on on the evaluation of who might be
available out there. So yeah, we'll be talking lots more
about that through end this throughout the course of the week.
We'll probably dabble in some more trade stuff in the
(48:06):
next segment as we clean things up. Next, it's the
DLS Rangers Podcast.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here for MIT Mobile. Now. I
was looking for fun.
Speaker 2 (48:14):

my big idea for the commercial.

training camp special, but as the trade deadline special.
Speaker 6 (50:29):
I like that. I like that a lot.
Speaker 7 (50:31):
No, No, you know, it applies to sports of all
all fans, fans of all sports whatever I just said,
fans of all sports. Yeah, so Rangers fans you can
take advantage of the football deal too, and you'll get
a free shirt and you might as well join the
club and we're and get the same one that John
and I are wearing today, the hell O win column.
I don't know if it's the lighting. John Yours looks
(50:52):
a little darker than mine.
Speaker 6 (50:54):
I know, I don't know why that is. I will
say this, I'm not taking it off until they lose.
I like it. Maybe I like it. We'll see if
they win. To all often where this should get. I'll
have to wash it at some point.
Speaker 7 (51:08):
Yeah, yeah, I mean, I have a pretty high tolerance
for foul odors, but I would have you know, so
you can get by tomorrow with it, uh, and then
you know Wednesday will be on the road, so I guess.
Speaker 6 (51:20):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (51:20):
Anyway, start out All City Network dot com. You can
get all kinds of shirts. You get some other stuff too,
like flags and sweatshirts and beer beer glass you know,
pint glasses if you like the beer, and the coffee
cups and things like that. But it's a unique way
to show your your sports fandom and show support for
your team at stored out All citynetwork dot com.
Speaker 6 (51:43):
All right, so let's run through some of our our
clean up items here. As we begin to clean this
thing up, and you know, one of the things that
I really, Jeff, don't like uh, And it was so
prevalent when we were were you, were you with were you?
And Cooper's time with me? When Pudg went in, Yeah, yeah,
(52:03):
And so we missed Adrian's three thousand tit, you know,
which was just unfortunately. But but the reality is, I
wish there was a way I could sit there and
just totally digest and watch the Hall of Fame induction ceremony,
except that there's a Rangers game on at the exact
same time, you know, so it's kind of tough. I've
(52:25):
caught up today and I loved each hero's speech. Yeah,
say the show, I don't know that we've seen that
kind of personality out of him, you know, many times before,
and and that kind of humor and so anyway, I
mean we have because we've seen the spots that the
(52:48):
Seattle Mariners do that included him, that were always funny.
But anyway, this was his own words. These were his
own words, and he wrote them and he said them,
and he's you know, did it in English, and I
just I loved everything about his speech. I couldn't believe, Jeff,
how thin C. C.
Speaker 7 (53:07):
Sabathia is, Hey, you know, you know a lot of
guys go the other way in retirement, but old CC's
looking pretty good. And yeah, no, no, I uh, I
saw bits and pieces of the ceremony. However, last night,
at the rare opportunity to seize control of the television,
(53:28):
I caught them. All I could catch was Echio's speech.
It was terrific and like you said, it was funny.
He took a pretty good shot at the Marlins. I
thought that was but and then the one guy who
didn't vote for him, uh, you know, he you know,
he made sure he mentioned that a couple of times.
Speaker 6 (53:49):
Yeah, and he said the offer to take him out
for dinners off the table, now off the table. Yeah,
that's out. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (53:57):
And I mean I talked about this yesterday, and I
think that everybody who submits a ballot should have to
make it you know, make it available. There could be
no uh balloting and anonymity. I know it's a hallmark
of our of our democracy, but the Baseball Writers Association
and the Hall of Fame are not are not that important,
(54:21):
and so everybody should should make their their their ballots
publicly available.
Speaker 6 (54:28):
Yeah. Yeah, it was a fun weekend. It was great
to see Uh, David Parker up there giving you know,
the speech that Dave wrote, including the poem there. That
was fantastic and and heart heartrending really because you know,
it's been less than a month ago. Uh right, I
had a month ago that they weren't So that's that
(54:51):
was kind of sad. But and Billy Wagner, you know,
you've been you'd been a champion of his of late,
and I was really glad to see that he you know,
his emotions were they were real, too.
Speaker 7 (55:04):
Sure, and he was emotional when he got the call,
you know, in January, and you know it's it's a
big deal for these guys. You're in a you're in
a very select group. And like I mentioned yesterday, uh,
you know, closers and designated hitters are not at all
well represented in the Hall of Fame. And uh and
(55:25):
and for for Billy Wagner to join the only unanimous
you know inductee ever Mariano Rivera, Trevor Hoffman, Lee Smith,
Bruce Souter. I know I'm forgetting guys, and I apologize,
but there aren't a.
Speaker 6 (55:39):
Lot of them what I'm getting at Billy, and this
is a lefty. Billy is the first yeah.
Speaker 7 (55:45):
Yeah, and this is this is a position created by baseball.
You know that that evolved and became a specialized key thing.
I mean, what did we just spend the whole last
segment talking them out. Basically, the Rams need a closer, right,
We've been saying that all year, you know, so this
(56:06):
this group needs more recognition when it comes to the
Hall of Fame. And as I said yesterday, I will
continue to vote for the most deserving closers. I vote
for Francisco Rodriguez, you know, for for instance, and he's
he's a way down there. Billy Wagner started a way down,
so you slowly have to build your way up and
it may take a while, but eventually that you know,
(56:29):
the numbers if you look at him, like, yeah, well
if this guy's in the Hall of Fame, this guy.
Speaker 6 (56:33):
Should be in the Hall of Fame. And Wagner's numbers
are fantastic. This fantastic. Yeah. Yeah. So, speaking of the
Hall of Fame, Nick Kurtz bat not surprisingly from that game.
Was it the Saturday game and Dacon or Friday whichever
game it was when he hit the six for six
four day bombs, Yeah, it was the Friday game. Unbelievable.
(56:57):
I mean it was. And again we've seen you and
I were both in Baltimore when Josh Hamilton did a
very similar thing. So we've seen what kind of otherworldly
you know level or you know, trend that is. But
it's amazing for a guy this young.
Speaker 7 (57:16):
Yeah, rookie, a guy who who was in college last year,
for him to go out and do that.
Speaker 6 (57:24):
Is pretty cool.
Speaker 7 (57:25):
And you know, I also mentioned this yesterday, but the
I was able to see clips of the Hamilton five
homer game today on Twitter, and you know, the couple
of funny things. Elvis Andrews scored on every one of them.
They were it was four to two run homers that
el and Elvis scored on every one, and you know,
(57:47):
for the first three he did the exact same They
did the exact same thing. When Josh cross and played
Elvis high five to him, turned around and jogged off,
it was like, you know, and it was just it
was like the same video. Yeah, if you could have
justposed the first one anywhere thought it was the other one. Uh,
and then the double that he hit in what would
(58:10):
have been his third at mat it actually got closer to.
Speaker 6 (58:13):
Going out than I thought yeah, you know it. It
hit on the warning track. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (58:20):
And and then you know, the last one was against
Darren O'Day, who had been with the Rangers just the
year before. I remember hearing him after the game be like,
oh god, I just threw it right down the middle.
I can't even that's a terrible pitch. And but you know,
right field, left field, center center. Pretty good damn day.
Speaker 6 (58:42):
Yeah, just just amazing. Kurts, by the way, nicknamed the
Big Amish because like our buddy, he is from Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Speaker 7 (58:53):
Oh Jankowski, all right.
Speaker 6 (58:55):
Buddy, Travis Jankowski. He's from Lancaster and he is not amish.
But he's got the he's embraced the nickname that his
teammates game and so celebration is to churn butter like
the be inclined to do so when he hits. His
celebration is to churn butter. I don't know how you
(59:17):
churned butter, but anyway, that's his celebration. So pretty cool,
pretty fun, and his back goes to Hall of Fame.
He's got his own little display and he was, you know,
needless to say emotional about it too, in that his
stuff's going in on the same weekend that that is
Hall of Fame weekend. So that's pretty cool. What the
I mean, you know, like surprising, I suppose, but not
(59:40):
that the Braves traded for starting pitcher yesterday in Eric Fetty.
It's like, what the hell are you doing, Braves? You
just got swept. But the reality is all five of
their opening day starters, the guys who were there on
you know, as the starting five an opening day, are
on the injured list.
Speaker 7 (01:00:00):
Yeah, and I don't they didn't have to give up
a ton for him because he would have been at
least by the by the Cardinals. But I just tell
you where the Braves are. I mean, you know that
that lineup, that lineup is frightening, It really is. You know,
you look at you look at that lineup, You're like,
holy crap, this team's gonna just score at Will. But
then you're like, who the heck is this guy pitching? Yeah,
(01:00:23):
you know, and the guy who pitched Saturday who at
Grant Holmes with Marcus in the in the head, Yeah,
he had to leave. You know, he left the game
with an elbow injury, and he's going on the injured lists.
So you know that's that tells you how how thin
it is. It's it's it's not as bad as the
(01:00:43):
Rangers in fourteen. That's the worst I've ever seen a
team affected by injuries. Yeah, but it's still pretty bad.
And they're just not a good team. The Braves just
aren't a good team.
Speaker 6 (01:00:53):
No, they're not. And let's talk. Let's close with a
little talk because I know you talked to him about
Marcus getting hit in the ear flat. Yeah, not only
staying in the game but delivering the game winning RBI
single and extra innings. Jeff that that's one of the
most sort of on the baseball field heroic things I've
(01:01:15):
ever seen. Yeah, and.
Speaker 7 (01:01:19):
Uh, the flap fortunately took took the front of it,
but it was it was the front of the flap
on the cheekbone. I think the cheekbone got a little.
But you know, you're still talking about ninety miles per hours,
Like you know, somebody punches you're wearing. Yeah, it's like
you know, if you're wearing a parka in a sweatshirt
and somebody still punches it really hard on the shoulder,
you're going to feel it. And he said after the
(01:01:41):
game that he was tender. He said yesterday morning that
it hurt too, it hurt to eat food. So you know,
he's he's going to be sore for a few days.
Speaker 6 (01:01:51):
But uh he You know.
Speaker 7 (01:01:54):
What, what if it would it would have been one
of those Azzie Smith helmets with the noir fuck. You know,
he'd be on the injured list.
Speaker 6 (01:02:00):
He'd be broken, cheese broken.
Speaker 7 (01:02:04):
Yeah, yeah, so yeah. But for him to get up
and stay in the game and really not be even woozy.
You know, he passed all the con concussion stuff, that's
that's pretty uh, pretty pretty good stroke of fortune.
Speaker 6 (01:02:18):
Yeah, he's an iron man. All right. Well that's fun, Jeff.
I'm it's good to be back with you. And we'll
be back in studio tomorrow before you hit the road,
So we'll look forward to that and we'll keep talking trades.
You guys do too, We'll keep talking about the trade deadline.
And by the way, if there is a trade, we're
doing an emergency pot so just be ready for that,
(01:02:39):
tune into it.
Speaker 7 (01:02:40):
Unless unless, unless they trade for Yosemite Sam Yosemite Sam again,
then no emergency.
Speaker 6 (01:02:47):
We're not doing. Oh. I love his I love Jeff's
A description of Andrew chaff and Yosemite Sam. All right, no,
no podcast if they're trading for Yosemite Sam, but foghorn
Leghorn by God on the DLLs Rangers podcast like the man.
Speaker 1 (01:03:22):
Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile. Now.
Speaker 2 (01:03:23):
I was looking for fun ways to tell you that
Mint's offer of unlimited premium wireless for fifteen dollars a
month is back.
Speaker 1 (01:03:30):
So I thought it.
Speaker 3 (01:03:31):
Would be fun if we made fifteen dollars bills.
Speaker 1 (01:03:35):
But it turns out.
Speaker 3 (01:03:37):
That's very illegal. So there goes my big idea for
the commercial. Give it a try at mintmobile dot com.
Speaker 4 (01:03:42):
Slash switch from payment at forty five dollars or three
month plan equivalent to fifteen dollars per month required new
customer offer for first three months only. Speeds low after
