(00:02):
All right, things that happen ina small town. We love people in
small towns. We love people inbig cities. We just like nice people.
If you just can spend some timeexactly running kindness, that's really what
matters. We're going to talk aboutthe debate. But we already have a
couple of callers. Craig, youare on the line. Welcome to RAW.
What's on your mind? This isabsolutely unreal. My grandmother she lived
(00:29):
in Saint Clairsville, just off aRoute nine, maybe two or three lots
down from seventy oh yeah, yeah. And my mom she was born and
raised in Mount Pleasant, Mount Pleasantsix forty seven. Yeah, she passed
(00:52):
two weeks ago. Sorry, ohyeah, we're sorry. Did your dad
work at the mill? Did her? He was a truck dry now?
Actually they she she moved to Cleveland, Okay, Well after she graduates,
Uh graduated, and uh she wasa musician, professionally entertainner. Okay.
(01:12):
So I flewd out of Florida twoyears almost two years ago because she was
in and out of nursing homes andstuff. So I wanted to see the
facility facility she was staying in,and it was it was one of the
best in Orlando. It was WestminsterTowers. Sure, so she was well
taken care of. But yeah, the memories of because I you know,
(01:36):
I spent months, weeks, atleast weeks and months of summertime there with
my grandmother and and and stuff likethat. Hills of Ohio, right,
guys. Mount Pleasant is an awesomelittle city in the middle of nowhere.
He's an old coal mine city. And there was a big engine builder,
Pete Patrice, was the best inthe state of Ohio. Back Pete Peatrice,
and he used to build all mymotors and I was But think of
(01:57):
all those small towns, not justin Ohio, but really throughout the Midwest.
That's the salt of the earth needsto come back to that. I
agree. You know what, Craig, while you're on the air, let
me tell you something. I wasleaving work the other day. I was
getting ready to walk out the doorand a UPS driver was walking in.
So you know what he did.He held the door and I was so
(02:20):
taken back. I'm like, thankyou so much. Those days need to
come back. Yes, I appreciatethat. I hope that when my son
sees someone, I hope he holdsthe door open for a woman walking out,
and that's there. We got toget back to that. Got to
get back to that, Craig, you sound like a great guy. Hey.
(02:42):
Also, I got to see uhmember of the Gym of Egypt.
Oh yeah. I used to gowatch across Interstate seventy as a kid.
We've already stacked the dirt up andwe'd watch it. So when crushed the
pavement, I got to see that. And we will never forget, Boots.
We will never forget you get onsome of the you know, the
county roads and you get behind acold truck doing trying to get up and
(03:06):
down. Oh yeah, Oh,Craig, I appreciate the call, buddy.
Give let's put your on the whole. Get I want to send you
some goodies in the mail. Dana, get you Dan Hannah, I get
his uh at email. I'll sendyou some good stuff back home, buddy.
So there you go. Okay,And just for that, thank you,
Craig. If anyone calls in fromWesterville, Ohio, the first people,
the first person to call in fromWesterville, because Boots is always giving
(03:29):
away stuff to his homies. Firstperson to call up from Westerville, Boots
will send you something to that I'llsend. I want to send a Jimmy
book to a book reader, soI got an extra Jimmy jim Sayer.
Yes, remember, gentlemen, weinterviewed a few weeks ago. I've got
an extra book left, and Iwant to send Father's Day and he what
a great guy. Grew up blind, but never ever let that man.
(03:51):
Let that stop that man from livingthe best life. So the best part
of debate? What was your favoritepart? My favorite part was when Donald
Trump turned to President Biden and said, I don't I don't know what he
just said, and I don't thinkhe remembers what he knows what he just
said either. I say the samething. I think this, Boots.
I think that Donald Trump did exactlywhat he was supposed to do. He
(04:12):
kept calm, He just debated. He didn't argue, he didn't he didn't
get all feisty and well, Iguess the big thing really benefited him.
Cutting off the mics. That's agood idea. That's how you can control.
That's the only way I've ever seenthat man controlled. That's his problem.
Maybe he needs more of that.Maybe mean you, you and I
should be his right hand. Peoplesay, shouldn't that be fun? Yes,
what you should say, this iswhat you shouldn't say. But the
(04:35):
response from the Democratic Party after thatdebate, well, they some of them
did, some of them didn't.Some of them are like, down,
calm down, this is not theway. You know lost the first one.
They said, Brock lost his firstdebate with Mitt Romney. But I
mean, you knew as soon asPresident Biden opened his mouth. I'm like,
(04:58):
my gosh, his voice, andthis is what I think. He
took seven six or seven days offto prepare for that. Glad he's not
a quarterback. Took the time off, went to camp David, had sixteen
staffers help him prepare for that. You know what, I think those sixteen
staffers have fired. No, they'rein They're in a rubber room right now.
If you practiced and prepared her dayson end with sixteen people by your
(05:26):
side, and that's the best youcan deliver for the American people. And
it's just not conservatives or independent sayingthat. A lot of the Democratic Party
is like, where do we gofrom here? Do you think he pulls
out? Do you think so?He should have? His dad should have.
But I would say that he can't. And here's why we're going to
(05:49):
ask Jim or Acy coming up this. I heard a rumor and I read
something online which I saw he's trueonline that he if he pulls away from
the election, okay, and hegives up and then have complete investigation opens
a book wide open where the FBIand all the whatever investigates in our country
(06:12):
can come in and look at allthe wrongful things that Democrats have done.
And they're not going to open thatPandora's box. If they open that up,
it's going to show a lot oftypical on both parties of illegal things
that they do, and it couldget him in trouble. So we got
to ask Jim. I hope heknows the answer to that. If he
doesn't, we'll move on. ButI heard that if a president steps down
and it immediately becomes a complete investigationof everything him or her has done.
(06:35):
So we are going to talk tothe Medina County Republican Party chair, Jim
or Nacy, who served four termsin Congress. And you may remember Jim
because he ran for Ohio's governor inthe last election. So he's coming up
a little just after this commercial break, So stick around, folks. All
right, this raw many Boots onnews radio six' ten WTVN. As
(06:56):
soon as we mentioned the debate, the line started to light up. Nancy,
We're going to get to you inone second. We are also going
to hear are also, excuse me, going to hear from a Dinah County
Republican Party chairman, Jim or Nacy, who also served four terms in Congress.
Can't wait to hear what he hasto say about the debate, and
he also has something in the worksas well. So before we get to
(07:16):
Jim, Nancy, what's on yourmind? We mentioned debate and you called
up right away. Yeah, Ihave some comments about the debate, which
is what you were talking about inyour comments. I watched the announcers roundtable
after the debate lastly, about twohours. It was all the announcers that
(07:39):
have been covering Biden and Trump, and they had some interesting things to say.
They did agree that the Democratic Partywill probably step in and ask Biden
to get off the tickets, butthat Biden has a tripe to say no,
no, I can fix this,I can fix this. But the
only two people that could talk himdown would be as wife and his sister.
(08:01):
They also said that Biden was weakabout not calling Trump out on the
thirty lives they counted from Trump, and they that Biden should have really called
them on some of those and didn'teven really address it other than saying you're
lines. However, Biden had ninelives of his own. I don't know
what they were exactly. They feltthat Trump won the debate although both people
(08:28):
were not real strong at all,and uh, let me see, they
thought that Biden should shut down Trumpand they weren't able to. You know,
he just wasn't able to and hisenergy and his energy level and his
(08:50):
was very obvious that it was veryweak and that he couldn't remember things.
And so I appreciate it. Now, that's okay. We appreciate you calling
in and always appreciate all of ourlisteners. But Jim and Acy, what
do you feel when you hear thosecomments and what did you think about the
debate? Well, first off, thank you for having me on. And
it's it's interesting. The last timeI talked to you, as you know,
(09:15):
I was running for governor and we'regoing to continue to fight and try
and change Ohio and change our countrywhen it comes to the debate. I
just posted this, I just talkedabout this the other day after the debate.
Forty six percent of the country isgoing to stick with Trump after debate,
Before the debate, no matter whathappened to the debate, forty six
(09:37):
percent is going to stick with Biden, even after the horrible debate performance he
had. I mean, it's partof the problem with our country. We
are divided. But forty six percentof those that support Biden do not like
Trump. Forty six percent of thosethat support Trump do not like Biden.
Eight percent or wondering which direction togo because they quite frankly don't like either
(10:01):
Biden or Trump. And that's thedilemma we have right now. Now,
what makes it even worse is itall but about five states pretty much have
already decided whether it's Biden or Trump. It's going to come down to five
states, which means that eight percentis about down to one percent of the
population that's going to make the decision. And it's going to really be interesting.
(10:22):
And even though Biden had a horribledebate, you're not going to change
people's minds who don't like foreign PresidentTrump. All right, So I got
a question for you, and ifyou don't know the answer, will move
on. But I heard a rumorthat if he steps down or gets pulled
a WAD office early before his termis up, that would open a complete
investigation, and the Democrats don't wantthat. So we'll probably have to put
(10:43):
it with Biden until the end unlesshe passes, which I hope he doesn't.
I don't wish it on anybody,But is that true? No,
I mean, here's what I thinkcould happen. I mean, look,
the Democrats have a pretty unique platform. Biden would have to agree to step
down, and for him to agreeto step down for health reasons, and
(11:05):
then they could actually select somebody elseto step in, which you know,
he'll finish his term. He wouldjust step down as the nominee. But
it would have to be President Bidenmaking that decision. You know, the
delegates aren't going to do it.He will have to make the decision.
And that's a possibility. I mean, there's a lot of stories that he's
(11:26):
meeting today with his family. He'sgoing to make some health, some decisions
based on his health, and we'llsee what he comes out of today and
tomorrow with well, I know onething. If that were my husband,
there is no way, no wayI would let him run again. I
would say, you know what,Randy, You've been in this for more
than fifty years. It's time wejust enjoy our retirement, enjoy each other,
(11:50):
and just live life to its fullest, relaxing a little bit. But
I think Jill Biden is in itfor the long haul. I think she
is the one taking charge right now. Well, the next day, you
know, he had a rally inNorth Carolina, and who was the one
leading most of the discussions was JillBiden. She's leading him through. Usually
the first lady's coming behind the president. Well had a catching No, she
(12:13):
was in front of him. That'scasey fell forward, case he go forward.
But I don't know, Jim,what do you think of that?
Well, look, I do agreepower is what drives everybody in politics,
and this is what Jill Biden wants. She wants to continue to have that
power. But in the end,I do think, you know, riisomonos
will set in. By the way, as Republicans, we should we should
(12:39):
not be pushing by now because Ido think foreign President Trump has the best
chance of beating Biden. If Bidenwould get pushed out. Those eight percent
that don't like either candidate may verymuch go toward the new candidate the Democrats
bring in. Which is the realconcern Republicans should have. I'm scared.
(13:01):
I'm really afraid of one thing, and please help me walk through this.
China and Russia should be licking theirchops right now more than ever because we
have such a weak leader and hestill has the main power to call the
shots. Tell me why I shouldn'tbe scared. Well, look one thing
(13:22):
about the government. It is abig machine, and even though the president
does have a lot of power andauthority, there are still people in the
Defense Department that will be directing himand pushing him in certain directions. But
I do think we should fear thosecountries. I said this when I first
got to Congress. That was thefirst thing we were told we should fear.
(13:43):
Russia, Iraq, Iran, NorthKorea all getting together. They are
starting to get together. This isa time they're probably looking at a country
and saying, hey, it's atits weakest point with the president, so
we should fear that. But Ido think in the end, we do
have one of the strongest militaries andwe should never be concerned about another country.
(14:03):
Our military is the best in theworld. So who does Trump pick
his VP? You, yeah, comes out of nowhere. I do think
foreigner President Trump's going to pick somebodythat nobody is thinking about and nobody is
talking about. Remember, he lovesthe showmanship, he loves the ability to
(14:26):
pull somebody out that nobody's talking about. If I were him and I was
advising him, he should be pickingsomebody who's going to bring that eight percent
in. You know, the soccermoms, the independence, the women who
don't like him. He needs topull those people in. People don't like
(14:46):
to talk about that, but inpolitics, it's about getting every vote you
can get. And that's one ofthe reasons why even though JD. Vance
would be a good selection as aVP, I don't think it'll be j
Events because he doesn't need JD.Evans. Shady Vans already speaks for the
MAGA crit He needs somebody who canbring in that eight percent. That's going
(15:09):
to be the key. So stickaround, because we understand you are on
a driving force to kind of changethings in Ohio's primaries. You can't have
this, it won't happen and obviouslythe November election, because what Jim is
trying to do only takes place inthe primaries, but it has to do
a lot with Democrats saying their Republicansare Republicans saying they're Democrats to get who
they want on the primary. Sostick around, Jim, You're going to
(15:31):
stick with us, right, Yes, thanks Jim, this is raw Mini
and Boots. We're always protected bythe undefeated American Maine Tattletale from the Harlem
Bank Studios on news Radio six toten TV in great song, and yes,
we are definitely proud to be Americans. And we're so proud to have
Jim Ornac, the Madonna County RepublicanParty chair also who served four terms in
(15:54):
Congress on the line with us andJim, you're doing something a little different
these days because you really want toreach out to Ohio voters when it comes
to those primary elections. What's theproblem going on right now? Well,
Mindy, I got to tell youin twenty twenty two, I was kind
of shocked. I didn't realize oursystem allowed for the crossover. It did.
(16:14):
So when I ran in twenty twentytwo, I noticed that our numbers
and are pulling didn't come out asexpected, and of course we didn't win
as we were expected to win.And I was always being told that,
hey, there's these emails and textsgoing out to Democrats saying crossover and vote,
crossover and vote, you know, don't let this radical over an ac
win. And I thought, Ah, it's minor, that happens in elections.
(16:37):
I'm not too worried about it.Well after the election, we did
our post election analysis, We gotthe numbers, and we realized that two
hundred and thirty thousand Independence and Democratscrossed over in that election and voted for
somebody. Now we don't know whothey voted for, but and most likely,
most likely case, they didn't votefor me. So we started watching
(17:00):
and then in this past election wefound the same thing. In the past
primary. We noticed that even thoughthere were only eight hundred and forty five
thousand registered Republicans in Ohio, inthis past primary, there were one million,
one point one million people who votedin the Republican primary. So if
you start to look at those numbers, you realize that we have this crossover
(17:23):
and somebody's coming into the Republican primariesand the Democrat primaries been in Ohio primarily
Republican primaries and making decisions for Republicans. Now, it's a First Amendment right
that Republicans choose their own person.I've said this time and time again.
I don't think anybody who's a ClevelandBrowns fan wants the stealers deciding who their
(17:45):
draft picks are. And if you'rea Cincinnati Bengals fan, you don't want
the stealers deciding who your draft choiceis. But here's what's happening. We
do have independence and Democrats crossing intothe Republican primary and actually making decisions as
to who our Republican nominees are.And that's not the law in Ohio.
(18:07):
The law says you have to bea Republican for two primaries in a row
before you can vote in a Republicanprimary, or you have to register and
certify as a Republican. We're notdoing that. We haven't been doing that
since twenty eleven when John Eustad actuallyas a Secretary of State, put a
mandate out and said we are notgoing to look at people who come into
(18:30):
the polling booth and decide whether theycan vote or not if they want a
Republican ballot. They should have oneso you have more information. They can
go to and check that out becausethey on the commercials are killing us already.
Jimordac dot com and please check thatout and see exactly what's going on.
(18:51):
But I appreciate your time. Thankyou, Oh any time. One
love question before we let you go. You're gonna run for governor again.
I'm still in Ohio residence, Sothat's the key. All right, off
our vote again, brother, Ipromise you that. All right, I
appreciate it. All right, takecare of This is raw Indian boots and
