Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh, daddy's have to do.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
These dads are in studio. We're being in studio for
the last hour. If you could see that, what you
can because we are still on Boots's Facebook page and
I shaved it too. I shared it to my personality
page as well. Just hearing that song, it said you
walk her down the aisle, you guys are like beaming.
I know it's so far off right now, but that
will be you one day. Well, you will let a

(00:25):
guy take over your role as the protector, the caregiver
who never on that. Yeah, yeah, is that gonna be hard?
I mean, think about it. I know it's so far
from so far off right now.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
I don't see myself doing well.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
What if you what if your girls end up with
someone that you guys don't like at all, and you
know this guy's not good for her, but love is
blind and she you can't talk to her what we do?

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Then you're gonna talk to her.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
I think my wife will take care of that one.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
These girls are all very smart, and I don't think
any of them are going to pick anyone that you
know what.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
I'm saying Like that, they're guys that respect them, I think,
and that we would want them to pick them. You
do say that, and we all feel that way. But
love is love and love is blind, and sometimes you
just can't help who you end up with. You were
talking about a story about your your daughter broke her
back and she's been in a back brace and watching

(01:25):
all of those emotions. For a thirteen year old girl
to deal with that is it harder on her or.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
You as a dad as a parent, right, but as
a dad, you feel helpless.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
You know what can I do?

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Honestly, what I worried the most about her with was
she had to wear the brace NonStop.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
So when you think about a teenage girl, you know
what clothes are they wearing? Is their makeup?

Speaker 3 (01:50):
You know the how will their friends react seeing them
at a brace?

Speaker 1 (01:53):
And she she handled it. She just handled it. I
didn't see her flinch, right, So for me.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
I worried more about her mentally, knowing she's got to
do this where this back brace can't be active. People
are feeling sorry for asking her how she's doing NonStop?
She handled it like a champ. I don't mean to
make these girls sound like they're invincible. They're human beings
right right, But they're tough, but they're tough and they
don't say things, you know, but you'll hear I'll hear
her cry and then you know, as a dad, when

(02:19):
your daughter cried, oh gosh, that's the end, because you
either want to fix it or kill whatever.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Cause absolutely absolutely, you know. There's that old saying and
my mom used to say this to me, and I
just got a text from one of our listeners, Alice,
who reminded me of it as well. I don't know
if you guys have heard it or not, but there's
so much truth to it. A son is a son
until he finds himself a wife, but a daughter is
a daughter for the rest of her life. So be blessed.
Be happy that you guys all have girls. Some of

(02:46):
you have boys too, which is really the best of
both worlds. But you get what you get in life,
and just be so grateful that they're healthy. Doctor Cohen,
what a great idea to have this conversation. I know
you're so proud of your girls, and we love having
them come in here as they do, but the dads
are a good, good change of pace the next show
or when they're the girls are availab because where you

(03:06):
have to work around their schedule.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Now we'll have the girls and.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
The dads in. Well, we're gonna have to get a
bigger studio. You know the Jaws. You need a bigger boat.
We need a bigger studio. And if someone wants more
information on you, because you are the best orthopedic surgeon
in the Midwest, if not the entire country, go to
what Well. First of all, I appreciate that it's true.
You can call the office six one four seven eight
eight zero three seven five or go to the website
con Orthopedic dot com cohen orthopedic dot com. Thanks so

(03:31):
much for this idea.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Well, I want to have the dads for coming in.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
These are a great group of guys, and I really
appreciate when they watch over our girls. Well, they said,
next time they're coming in, you have to bring the wine.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
That's fine.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
That's it, you guys, what matters is coming up? Nags
to keep in here.
