Speaker 1 (00:01):
News headlines and sensible talk is so much to say
we're sensible.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
I never heard. I don't listen to row off a
sensible talk, especially when I'm just.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
The opposite, right, exactly nonsense. So Robert Cooper, and there's
so many things about Robert that I know if you
would meet him in person, you would really really like it.
He's brutally honest. That's probably why you and Boots get
along so well.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
That's right. Yeah, yeah, I'm at a point in my
life where it doesn't pay not to be honest.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Was there ever a point in your life that you
would hold back a little bit? Oh?
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Yeah, absolutely, And I still do to some extent, depending
on the circumstance, but absolutely you might.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
You know.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
The thing is, I've also learned what battles to fight.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Pick your battle, pick.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
My battles, because when I was younger, almost everything was
a battle, and now it's just like what for example, Oh,
just little things that would annoy me at work. I
would send it to us off an email and you know,
start ranting and raving about certain things.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Did you get anywhere with that? No? But it made
you feel better?
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Yeah, it made me feel better. But then I realized that,
you know, in a professional a professional atmosphere, you really
need to pick your battle to not be so aggressive.
And you know, and I also would. I would point
the finger of blame to everybody else but me when
I was younger, and now I never do that. It's like,
I'll tell if I did it wrong, I did something wrong,
(01:18):
I'm going to take the blame for it, and I'll
accept the blame for it.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Isn't it funny in life how things change with age? Yes,
like seriously, And that's why when we try to tell
our kids things, We've been there, We've done that. Listen
to your parents. We're not dumb. We're trying to help
you out with different.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Because we had the experience, because we have.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
The experience, and we used to live like that. We
used to be like that.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Absolutely we knew everything. Our parents knew nothing and nothing
was ever going to happen. Now possibly get hurt, and
then we learn, and then we try to impart that
wisdom on our children and they'll learn too.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
You know what else is a cool thing about you
and not a lot of people can say that, so
you yeah, exactly. We were talking about how Mikayla Hunt
is in Italy. Right now, she'll be there for a
couple of weeks. She's having both her mom and her
husband's mom watched the kids together. Oh how instead of
having one of them watch one week and another one
watch it the second week, they're both going to be
(02:17):
there together for two weeks watching the Wow. I didn't
know that that's different, right, You.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Think it's different. Yes, I do think that's different. But
good for her that apparently the mother in laws get along.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
You would have to.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
I would hope you'll.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Find out after these two weeks. But speaking of that,
because they're celebrating their anniversary, and you celebrated your thirtieth
anniversary in Italy. Now you're going to celebrate your fortieth.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
In twenty twenty seven, I'll be forty years married and
we're going to go to Greece.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
And the other thing that's really cool about that You
look at yourself and your wife, and both sets of
parents stayed together for fifty years.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Fifty years each set. Right. So I'm not saying that
my mother and my father were perfect together.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
But they stuck it out. They stuck it out. I
think people don't stick it up. Don't take a.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Book for the easy way out. It's society right exactly,
because it's quick and it's easy, and that's it, you know,
and it's painless. There was a time when, you know,
divorce was actually frowned upon. Did you know that there
was a There was a time not just in the
Catholic religion but in general it was it was not
it was frowned upon. And now it's like, you know, hey,
(03:22):
it's not working out. Just get a divorce, no problem.
You got little kids, no problem, they'll they'll work it out.
You know, they're resilient. And the fact is they're not.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
You brought up Charlie Kirk and he was such a
champion of bringing back the American family right, and he
would catch some slack.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
For it, of course.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
But if you live by the Bible, the Bible says
different quotes about the man and the woman and they
should marry and he and she are just different rules.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Right, and he was, you know, And you don't have
to be religiously following the Bible to understand that there
is a natural order of things. That's what I believe,
and that's what our founders believed, right, the natural order
of things through Nature's God, and they knew that there
were some things that were just kind of universal and true,
and I think that's one of them. And when we
(04:14):
fight against that, we have all kinds of problems.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
So many times though we are our parents' children. And
you obviously grew up with people who believed in the
sanctity of marriage. Not easy, because marriage can be very
difficult at times, but like you said, you fight through
it and you make it worth. You figure it out
to make it work. And that's why your marriage has
lasted so long. It's not easy.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
It's not easy, but you make a commitment before God,
and that's important. That has to mean something. It can't
be something that you just throw away. It has to
mean something.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
So do you think that it will ever come back
full circle?
Speaker 2 (04:52):
I think I do think so, and I think we're
seeing that now. You had mentioned before about all the
people who are kind of returning to millions, and not
just here in America, right all over the affected people worldwide.
He did. He did. That's why it's important to you
know more in his passing, but also continue his message.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
I agree with you, brilliant unscript.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
This is not written down anywhere.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
So this is the month of October it's the month
that so many people love because of that sense of Halloween, fear, fun,
the leaves start to change. So many things happen in
this month of October. Other than both my kids being
born in the month of Aber.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
That's important.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
It's one of my favorite months of the year. That's
one of the main reasons, of course. So that's what
Rivia is all about. You guys, your kids, no, no,
the month of October.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Well, you talk about them so much. I bet people
will know those answers.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Do I talk about them too much?
Speaker 2 (05:43):
I didn't say too much.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
I'm asking you.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
I don't think you talk about them too much. But
I'm a parent also, and you do a parently.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
I mean, that's that's that's my life, right and it's
hard to not talk about them every once in a while.
I never want to talk about them too much, but
it's hard not to talk about them at times.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
I agree, And it's always great to hear about your
children all the tough.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
So the number you have to call because something's kind
of wonky with our phones right now. We're looking for
people to go up against each other in Rivia. Joni
is our reigning champion, so we're going to reach out
to Joni. We have her number. If she wins today,
that is win number five. I think you were with us.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
I'm Jony for a start at one now, says the
reigning champions, the raining champion.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Then maybe she won't win today.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Who knows?
Speaker 1 (06:30):
The number to call in is six one four seven
nine three nineteen fifty seven. Boots his favorite ear nineteen
fifty seven car. That's his car, exactly, six one four
seven nine three nineteen fifty seven. Call up and compete
against Rivia or on Rivia. Easy questions about this awesome
