Speaker 1 (00:02):
Get in the rain. I'm not.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Champagne all this red tread.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Oh wow, we're back already.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
That was fun and that was fast. We'd rather have
short commercial breaks, that's for sure. All right, So you
are listening to raw, We're so glad you're with us.
And my goodness we set off some type of a
spark because a lot of people are commenting. I simply
just asked the question because of the maybe possible movement
to bring the Cleveland name back to Indians instead of
the Guardians. And so far everybody on my Facebook page
has commented Indians, Indians, Indians, Indians, all of our callers
(00:48):
that we had same way. But we want to talk
a little bit about because yes, the economy is still
it's on the rise, but things are still a little
rough out there. You may be looking for work, well
you're hiring it mold mentor that's.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Right, we are it. We're looking for possible operations help
and and so I've spoken to somebody who who has
military background and has operations experience, but I don't know
that he wants to get inside crawl space as an addicts.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
A lot of people do, though, But is it where
some people may start.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Yeah, it's best to uh for us, it's best if
you can get that experience a little bit. Yeah, and
then and then you know what our technicians are going through,
our our cleanup ninjas.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
I call him, what's the scariest thing you guys have
ever found in a crawl space or a basement or something.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Like that vacant home? I was inspecting. I got into
the crawl space. It was kind of dark, had in
my flashlight and there was this a froze because there
was this large black, wrapped in plastic black plastic shape
of a body. Had to rope around what looked like
the My god, I sat there. I don't know how
long I sat there. It could have been a minute,
could have been three minutes. But eventually smell, no smell,
(02:04):
But eventually I knew the next step to see if
this was real or not was to touch the head.
So I did and it was like a deflated basketball where.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
You like, yeah, and so I were you alone?
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Yes? And I was not real happy about that, but
I knew I had to call and just find out, like,
what is this in the crawl space? Yeah? And they said, oh,
that was a Halloween prop.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
That is too funny and you were alone. I don't
know if I would have had the guts to touch
the head. I know I had to know, Yeah, you
had to know, but mold mentor you know. I actually
my husband Brandy, and I called you coming home from
North Myrtle Beach because we're looking at property and it
was suggested to us to do a couple of different
things in this crawl space area. And what you described
(02:49):
made so much sense as far as you go all
the way back in time with people living off the land,
it was healthy. But what people have done to enclosed
areas is not so healthy.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Right, So sore, there's great bacteria that that improves our
gut health in the earth, in the dirt, and I
encourage my kids to play in the dirt, wipe it
on their face. We don't care. And but and so
so we our ancestors have lived in that until we
started sealing upper houses with the advent of HVAC systems,
(03:20):
central air heating and cooling, and so now we live
in sort of almost like a plastic bag with holes
in it. And you don't want that dampness trapped under
your house when you live in a sealed home. So
we wrap the cross space. We call it an encapsulation,
and that seals out all the stuff that the earth
puts into your home, keeping it dryer, less odor and
(03:43):
preventive of you know, microbial growth and things like that
down the road.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Because anything that's in the air, it rises. Correct, They
always used to say heat rises. That's why the upstairs
sometimes is warmer than the rest of your house.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Stack effect. You can research the stack effect of a
home and it'll show you why it rises.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Yeah, is that interesting?
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Land it is?
Speaker 1 (04:02):
That is interesting, interesting line of work that you do
looking for mold it is.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
I can't believe I'm here talking about it.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Why, Yeah, why do you say that?
Speaker 2 (04:10):
I always thought I would be a brewer. I got
into a thing where I was making honeywoon and I
read this bible. It was a yeast bible, and I
just fell in love with the yeast cell and how
to nurture it and make it healthy and strong so
it can convert sugar to alcohol. And then I started
drinking too much, so I got into mold instead.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Oh that is hilarious from one extreme to the other.
But you know what's great about your company, mold mentor
you started it with early an idea of you kind
of got interested in looking for things like this and
really trying to help people because I know you don't
want to. When we talked a little bit about making
fear into people, you know, you don't want to scare
people off by people will die, like from the Bill,
(04:53):
A beautiful bill, right, people will die if there's mold.
But actually that can happen when it gets to out
of control.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
It can exacerbate existing problems. The people who are most
susceptible to micotoxins would be elderly children and immunocompromised people.
And when somebody dies from mold exposure, oftentimes you're never
gonna know. They're not going to do an autopsy and
report that or find that out. It can be related
to other things. And it just got worse from the
(05:23):
you know, your immune system shutting down trying to fight
off micotoxins while it's also fighting something else that they
say killed you tea.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
So's I mean, there's such a massive amount of fear
in there that's mostly misplaced. We had a rental property
where there's a basement that was old one hundred years old.
Is a little damp down there a little bit of
water is gotten in and people would come and see
an apartment two floors above it and be petrified that
there was mold in the basement, when the basement was
nothing but concrete block and pavement down there. They're like, oh,
(05:53):
it's got to be mold because there's a little bit
of moisture. You know, what do you say to people
who are, you know, losing sleep over something that's not realistic?
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Uh, probably find a trustworthy mold assessor. Don't call a
mold remediation company right away, but find maybe an unbiased
somebody you trust to do an assessment, to do laboratory testing,
and that's me. You can call me to do that.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
What is the number for mold mentor what's the best
way to get a hold of.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
