Speaker 1 (00:00):
So here's a good, feel good story. Had a great

(00:02):
two hours. By the way, Michae's up next. She has
a Maria in house with her. Oh, one of our favorites,
but Ryan Pendleton, Larry's son. He just retired from the
Navy and he was a sealed team, bad to the bone,
young man, Nicest kid you'd ever meet, I should say kid.
He's in his twenties. Beautiful wife, she's a doctor, beautiful kids.

(00:24):
I mean, lived the American dream and he just retired.
So I want to wish him a happy retirement. Over
one hundred jumps out of helicopters, airplanes and what have you,
and he had to get his knees, ankles and everything
you got. So he's a bionic man on top of it.
But if you meant this young man, you shook his hand,
you would feel honored to talk to me. So the
good news is what I'm getting at. He's going on

(00:45):
the on her flight to vance outdoors trip and his
dad are going as a team to help our veterans.
So and we're working with a golf club, golf cart place.
Right now, we've got a lot of great sponsors. We're
going to sell twenty five hundred tickets at twenty bucks
apiece now, but fifty g's and Honor Flights play for
half of the flight. So we're stoked and had all
our great sponsors step up to the plate, so we're

(01:07):
excited about that. And Honor Flight is the love of
my life. It's it's the best charity. You want to
see a happy side of boots. So you bring up
Honor Flight, and I love when I talked to Vietnam
guys and there going. They're kind of stubborn and they
have every right to be hands down. They got spit on,
they got disrespected. But you know what this is one
day fifty five years late that we get to honor

(01:29):
these men and women and they have tears in their eyes.
You'll see the badass, studliest guy, you know, you know,
the neighbor like a clean East would like, get off
my lawn. That guy he gets off that flight from
on a flight and he's got tears in his eyes
and he shakes my hand. I say thank you for
your service and welcome home. And then I look at
it and he goes, you were right. I should have

(01:49):
went before this because we treat him like gold. And
Beth Johnson hats off to you. But I am so
excited about that. I called back, Oh we'll be gone. Yeah,
it'll be a great and it's a rite off for
the sponsors, and you know, it's just a feel good
thing and the more we can raise, the better off.
And all the money goes to our veterans. I mean,
I do have to buy the golf cart, but that's okay.

(02:11):
It's new electric one. It's street legal, goes thirty some hour, which.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Is insane to me. I don't know why we're doing that.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
But anyway, so before we go, guys, it's just one
more time, Jim you started what. We know what you're about,
but say it one more time. Phone number, how they
get a hold of you, and how much you care about.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
It, folks, give me a call this week. I'm available
at six one four eight eight eight safe. If you're
needing just safer care options, trying to come up with
a plan, you know we're here to help. So just
give me a call and you know, and let's put
something together.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
Yeah, Joe Schmid's Peak Retirement Planning helping those with retirement
as your Bundy just texts you, what do you say?
Messages advisor. You see if he's doing one stop shop
and he got crickets, so sure we did. Yeah, that's
what we try to do, is just everything all in
one place, and you know, have the CPA attorney and
financial planners. So I then go to our website, Peak
Retirement Planning dot com. They can crust one of the
books I wrote there on the website, or can schedule

(03:00):
a call to explot.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
Working with us.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
What's your book called? Again?

Speaker 5 (03:03):
I've got three of them.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
The two my two favorites are the I Hate Taxes
one and then the one that just came out that
Mikaela Hunt, who's in studio with us here, actually interviewed
me at the event we had just recently.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
It's called The Midwestern Millionaire.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
That's awesome, you know, and we we all love to
surround ourselves with people that have made it in the world,
that treat our clients or listeners right.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
And we all to michaleam Indi and I.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Now we don't own all the commercial time on these
two shows, but the ones you can tell we're invested
in and partner of.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
And that's you guys, and we can't hope thank you enough.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
And Jim and I have been buddy since kindergarten was
a pleasure and we have so about three more minutes.
If a guy comes to you and says you're going
to make him spend some of his money, how do
you coach him?

Speaker 5 (03:46):
Yeah, that's a real, real, real question.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
So we we really sit down with them and show
them where they're at now and if they don't do anything, well,
they'll be at you know, likely when they passed away.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Right, okay, and kids will be happy.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Yeah, that's a show them is Hey, you're gonna have
x a million dollars at this point?

Speaker 5 (04:03):
Do you want that to happen?

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Or we can start spending twenty thousand extra dollars a
year and doing that will still leave you millions of dollars,
Or maybe we can spend up to fifty thousand and
you you know, it's still going to be left with
a couple hundred thousand. So you know, just really try
to illustrate it for him and paint that picture for
him so they.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Know what to a favorite.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Next thing they have a person say, get that fifty
five Chevy out your garage tenant the boots give them
one hundred grand. He'll make a show card, and I'll
give you some kickback.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Remember, all of our clients to put their money to
investments and not cars, So this is.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
A testimony to you as well. If they have this
net what worth, I mean, you've helped them do that.
So you've helped them. Yeah, so that's a pat on
your back.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Well, I don't want to take too much credit because
most of the clients you work with have already came
to us with wealth and they now come to us
to help protect and preserve it and maximize it. So
I can't take too much credit, you know, especially you
know the averaging advisors like fifty six. I'm obviously not
fifty six. So you know, if I, you know, twenty
years from now, with some of the clients that we
work with, we'll be able to say that. But with

(05:03):
most of our clients now, they come to us from
other advisors.

Speaker 5 (05:06):
You know. Want in our specific type.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Of thing, it has to be little hurdle. I mean,
you are a young man and he and a guy
at sixty some years old. He may be a first like,
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
Yeah, it used to be. I mean, now I've got
ten years of experience.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
You get a little bit of gray here and there.

Speaker 5 (05:18):
Yeah, yeah, but no.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Actually, when I first started an industry, I mean we're
twenty two sent across from someone who's sixty seven years old.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
It's hard work.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
But nowadays, you know, most of them come to us
because of our age, because they want to They don't
want to find another doctor Dennis Financial Team. They want
to go to one place, have everything taken care of,
be there for them, their spouse, their kids, and we
joke with them and tell them probably their grandkids too,
is what.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
We will be around. Okay, one more time. How they
get a hold of you?

Speaker 5 (05:40):
Yeah, Peak retiret Planning dot com.

Speaker 2 (05:42):

Speaker 5 (05:44):

safe or go on Columbus dot Carepatrol dot com.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
All right, guys, it's been a pleasure, Thank you, thank you,
Thanks me and many You'll be back and she'll be
wound up. Well, my gosh, watched out Michale and I
will have to get her a kennel. I want to
get her a shot. Callar because she's gonna be bouncing
off the wall and I know she had a ball,
and thank goodness, she gets to go see her daughter play.
