Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome back everybody.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
It's a Sunday, it's a holiday Sunday because the country
is celebrating Labor Day.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
What do you do for work? What's the best job
you've ever had? Boots?

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Oh boy radio?

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Oh, I could totally see that with you. You do
love this?

Speaker 3 (00:20):
I do love. I love I don't like all the
moving parts behind it, but I love them we're on air.
I don't like chasing checks.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
I don't like getting This is funny because you've had
to chase checks your entire career in sales retails.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
I've always chased money and it gets getting old.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Yeah, because you don't catch it. Yeah, keeps running away
from you.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
I tell you what, and the gate COVID is real
so much easier before COVID. Now some of the check
writers are at home. Some some during COVID change their
processes and procedures. It's but I enjoyed my first used
car manager job because I thought I could change the

(01:00):
used car manager a used car perception, and I unsuccessfully
didn't do it. It's hard used cars are used cars. But
I enjoyed the car hunt.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
But so radio has been your favorite absolutely? What's been
your least favorite job? Or the hardest job you ever had?
Or did you ever get fired?

Speaker 3 (01:18):
Oh? I've been fired a handful of times. When I
was at Reiker, I loved the first four years, and
then they hired a guy that came in and ruined
the company for about three years and they finally got
rid of him. But he he he ruined my love
for the car business because he's such a tool bag
and such a self center. Just idiot.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Don't you hate working with people like I do?

Speaker 3 (01:37):
I like to punch him in the mouth. Actually, I
would take an assault charge if you walked in here.
I beat his ass. But other than that, that bad
can't stand the guy.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
You see him?

Speaker 3 (01:44):
You ever run into him. I've seen him a few times.
But now I can't do anything because of our sponsors.
But back in the day I probably would have choked
him out.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Six one two one nine eight six six one four
eight nine eight eighty six. What's the best job you've
ever had? One the worst job you've ever had? What's
your dream job?

Speaker 3 (02:04):
My dream job has been kind of a scrimaming gin
Right now. With my buddy down in Georgia, I go
dow and take care of his cars. He flies me
down nobody bothers me. He gives me keys to three
big garage fools of classic cars, and I get him
running and I talk to the cars and they wiggle
little fins at me. I like having puppies, you know
what's so funny.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
So I'm driving off of I get off of two
seventy on the Sunbury Road, heading home, and what do
I see in front of me?

Speaker 1 (02:28):
This was a few days ago.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
What do I see in front of me but this
big old trailer that says Auto Smarts. And I'm like,
it's gotta be boots, because there can't be another one
of those trailers anywhere in this life than right here,
right then, right now.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
So I hurry up.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
I try to like scoot up to him, and I
finally do, and I'm laying on my horn and I
thought you were on the phone, because I.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Thought you guys having a debate with somebody on the phone.
Let's leave it at that.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Of course, you're probably chasing a check, right.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Technically, so but I had your check in the car.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
I was like, yeah, I stopped a light. Ye, you
jumped out. No did I just jump jumped out?

Speaker 3 (03:05):
But yeah, and uh yeah, that was funny. More technically neighbors, I.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Guess, so it is a Labor Day weekend. And the
other really big story, unbelievable story. And I said this
on the air when we had to cover it for Spectrum.
Probably one of, if not the worst, Now one of
the worst stories I've ever had to talk about on
the air. Introduced a package, a national package was the
school shooting in Minneapolis, because you just, I mean, the

(03:32):
heart wrenching facts of that, these kids, these families, they
were pying, praying, and then did you see the eleven
minute video that the shooter created before all boots. It
was so sick it was absolutely disgusting. He went through
every cartilage. Is that what's in the What's in.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Magazine?

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Magazine that he wrote on He was showing everything. He
was singing, it's the end of the world as we
know it was.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
So they posted on social media. Yeah he did.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
It like right before he did this, I mean, but
it was so sickening and so thought out, and just
I just can't believe.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
I just can't believe that.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
It was very very hard to see those images and
just shot through the windows.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
He's did a bigger coward. So when someone shoots the
little kids point blank. I say, okay, that person's sick
as could be. And there's you can't explain. But then
when someone's shooting through windows, he didn't know he was
even shooting.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
I just can't believe it. I just can't believe.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
And they were in a church which is associated with
their Catholic school, and it was the second day of
school and they were all coming together to pray for
the new school year.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
You know, it's just.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
He's ANTIGOUDI he was transgender too.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
They said, oh yeah, his name he goes by was Robin,
but his name was Robert. And if you this video
where he's showing you all these different bullets or magazines
that he's going to use and the weapons he's going
to use, that's a guy's voice, did he it's a
guy's voice.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
You have to call it like it is.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Why does a lot of the media back away from
when we don't want to offend the transgender community.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Why it is what it is. It was a guy
who called himself a girl.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
What back in twenty seventeen or several years ago, he
decided to have a name change, So it is what
it is people.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
He did the dude took him out himself or them himself.
That's a bigger coward, bigger count a cop. Let a
cop shoots him being a hero.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
He's not a hero.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Let the cop now the copy hero because he can
go back to the precinct. Yep, I took out that wack
a doodle.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
I just can't believe it. I just care.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
And then and then you hear you hear lawmakers and
leaders say guns. You know they're saying, we don't want
your thoughts and prayers, we need action. Well, listen, look
how many times in life that prayer has worked. Look
at many times in your own life listening right now,
when you've prayed and you get what you pray for,

(06:03):
or you don't get what you pray for, and in hindsight,
it ends up being the best thing for you. Don't
ever tell me not to pray. Don't ever tell me
prayer doesn't work. It has worked in my life wholeheartedly.
It has worked across the board, across this United States
of America. Don't tell me not to send thoughts and prayers.
That was disgusting.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Wow, you go g don't take God out of our lives.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Well, that's what they want.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
They will lose that battle. I've read doctor.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
You know, social media makes it hard to but there's
so much I see on social media then in my
head gets numb to it. But like the last ten
shooters have all been Democrats.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Well with the other there was another transgender and they
hit that. If you hide that, you know what else?
Someone says, Someone said, we've known more about this Minneapolis
shooter in three hours than we learned about the shooter
who hit President Trump's ears or ear, And like a
year we learn more about this kid. There's still so

(07:02):
secretive about the guys.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
How about the how about the Vegas shooting? Where did
it go? Remember the guy shooting people at the country concert? Yeah,
that's all gone? This whatever this guy brought in? How
many assault right guns? Let should say assault rifles? Because
you know.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
You're a gun guy. You will always be a gun guy.
Do you think there should be what was I going
to say.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
A ban on gun?

Speaker 4 (07:25):
No?

Speaker 3 (07:25):
I didn't on ar I.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Wasn't going to say that at all.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Do you think there should be a better way to
have background checks? There's no way this dude should have
had all the guns that he's had.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
He didn't have any Well, that's true, and he didn't
have any prior anything. He never been in trouble with
a law. He's never other than he's a transgender.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
But you have said on the air repeatedly that you
believe you are mentally off if you are a transgender,
if you're trying to be something you're not.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
But you have my opinion, that's the law. Is opinion,
that's not the law.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
So you don't think that they can't. They can't change
anything with background.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
So in a free country that we live in and
freedom of speech, freedom, bare arms, freedom, freedom, freedom, you're
going to have a goofball. Timothy McVay, this guy Lee Harvey.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
Orb real quick, not to cut you off.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
We got like thirty seconds to her debut before you
have to go to break w You wanted to comment
on the shoot and go ahead, Harlan, you're on.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Yeah, Hey, Mandy, Yeah, it's just about the power of prayer. Thing. Now,
I think Jim Sucky said it, but she was referring
to what a first responder said to all the reporters.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
Out front was in front of the church.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
It was the mayor of Minneapolis who said that yeah, well.

Speaker 5 (08:41):
Well okay, well what what what what he was meaning
was these children were actually primly and it didn't help
them at the moment. And what he was trying to
refer to was we need more than prayers. And and
you know he's in shop. It's just the way it

(09:02):
was said has been misrepresentative. And I believe in the
power of prayer. I do, but I think the way
he it was said was taken out of context. What
it wasn't saying we don't need prayer. It was that.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
No, I said that.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
I said that was he he said he wanted more action,
but don't send your thoughts and prayers. We need more action.
You can still send your thoughts and prayers. But I
know what you're saying, Debbie, I get I get right.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
But here if if a if an individual that's mentally
ill wants to kill someone and guns were not available,
he or she will find a way to kill other
human beings.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
But would it be as easy. Yes, don't you think
it's harder to stab somebody? Sit there and stab somebody.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
What'd you say, Debbie?

Speaker 5 (09:55):
I said, I'm not against guns at all. That's not
what I would call about. I called about the power
of I think this person just meant, hey, we need
more than prayer right now, But what they like, what
generation that these children were praying?

Speaker 3 (10:14):
No, But what I don't understand is right away they
never blame the mentally old person.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
Always blame.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
They blame the gun, they blame the car, they blame
I mean, I felt test. I didn't blame my pencil.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
It's a mentally I'm not.

Speaker 5 (10:31):
I don't want to debate guns right now.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
I'm form yeah exactly, I.

Speaker 5 (10:39):
Versus them thing.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
You know, you listen and we will always take your call.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
