Speaker 1 (00:00):
Some reason Summer does not want to leave the state
of Ohio. I cannot believe how beautiful these weekends have been.
And I'm going to tell you what. We got our
little lake house in Indian Lake on August tenth. Every
single weekend since that particular date has been like this.
So maybe I just should have got a little lake

(00:21):
house years ago. And we have beautiful weekend weather every
single weekend. And it rained a lot through the week
We needed it to rain because the ground was so
so dry. But then what happened for the weekend It
cleared up. We can go voting again. It's just a
you know what, This is a kind of day that
you look outside and you think to yourself, thank God,
you woke up, You woke up above ground again. God

(00:43):
gave us another day. It's up to you to decide
how to spend that day. And you know, the nicest
thing about having a little lake house is you unplug.
You get away from the world. You get away from
so much traffic in central Ohio and you go to
the US. Lit'll get away and you just enjoy life,

(01:04):
the simple things about life. When you are bombarded with
so much technology and social media and mainstream media news.
It gets overwhelming and it really can have an effect
on your health. Speaking of health, we're going to have
such a great conversation this hour with the ladies of
the Avenue Wellness Center, and Avenue is spelled Ave Nu

(01:26):
Why Rebecca.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Because the focus is on you, and that's what.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
We're going to do today. We're going to really really
focus on you. I cannot tell you how many times
people have said to me, I have lived with this
acre pain for years. I've gone to the doctors and
nobody can figure it out. And that's the beauty of
the Avenue Wellness Center because you guys can go in
and try to figure out what even medical doctors for

(01:52):
years can't figure out. Why is that?

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Rebecca, Well, we approach it differently, so we have a
personal I don't want to call it concierge treatment or whatever,
but we try to look at the whole person, at
everything that's impacting their their symptoms, their illness or whatever.
So we're looking at nutrition, We're looking at hydration, at exercise,

(02:15):
at sleep, at their habits, what kind of eating habits
do they have, What kind of drinking smoking habits do
they have? Do they have microplastics, have they been exposed
to mold. And we see them on a regular basis,
day after day, So it's not like walking into a
doctor's office getting a prescription, walking off, and then not
seeing anybody for six weeks. We talk with you about something.

(02:37):
We say, how did you sleep last night? Kind of
like my mom, you know I'd got up in the morning, How.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Did you sleep? Yeah, that's that old saying that all
of this parents say, hey, how to sleep?

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yes, exactly, because that's kind of indicative of where you
start out with your day. And if that person says,
I only slept two hours last night, you know they're
starting off with a deficit. So we look at all
of those things and then they kind of know that
they have this expectation that when they come back in
the next day, we're going to ask them again, and
so they work at improving these things. It's like having

(03:10):
a personal trainer for everything. And I think that that
makes a huge, big difference, because you know, we have tools.
We have some really great tools which help a lot,
but the fact of the matter is that we can
get somebody back to a really good spot. But if
they continue destructive habits, then they're going to get back

(03:32):
in that same position again. It's not that what we
did didn't work. It's that they are doing things in
their life which is which you are contributing to their health.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
So when you talk about health, and I want to
interrupt you because I want this to be a broad
conversation and I want anyone who's listening right now, if
you're dealing with anything, any ailment and you want just
a little bit of advice, you want to say, hey,
this has been bothering me. What should I do? Or
I've tried to get answers getting them six one four
eight two one nine eight eighty six six one four

(04:05):
eight two one nine eight eighty six. This is the
beauty of having the Avenue Wellness Center in studio because
you get free information so you can live a healthier lifestyle.
And we've talked time and time again that one of
the number one reasons why people are unhealthy these days
is what.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Number one inflation get inflammation Inflamation.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Inflation, Inflammation is underlying information. Inflammation is an underlying fact
factor in most diseases.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
And looking at this stat and it doesn't just have
to do with this. Inflammation affects so much of our bodies.
I'm going to ask you guys a question, what do
you think the percentage is? Don't look court in me
if you have nice What do you think the percentage
is here in America of people being overweight? What percentage
of Americans are overweight?

Speaker 2 (04:57):
It's seventeen I think it's seventy to seventy five percent.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Four percent. I look at that stat and I'm like,
why there's so many different ways for people to get
into shape or to lose weight to you know, I don't.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
We have to also understand that because of food companies
being privy now to chemical halls and the marketing schemes,
we're kind of being inundated in a different way now.
And and a lot of these food products are exciting
our addiction receptors. So it sometimes it's not just as
easy as put down the twinkie. It's we have to

(05:34):
recalibrate your brain a little bit.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
But you know what, the way society is set up anymore, too,
we are getting programmed to be lazy.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
True.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Everything is that their fingertips right. They don't even want
you to go walking through a grocery store anymore. You
can order your groceries have them brought to your curb side.
And I understand that can be a great help for
people who maybe are immobile and they don't have the
means to get out and walk. So that's a great idea.
But then talking about the people who take advantage of it,

(06:06):
it is so important. You know, I'm pushing sixty. I'm
fifty seven right now. In March, I'm going to be
fifty eight. And I keep right, but I keep reading
more and more things about you have to move and
you got to get off the couch. I don't care
if it's five ten minutes a day, move walk, do something.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
And chronological and biological are very different things, you guys,
So your mother sixty is not the sixty today. It
doesn't have to be.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
For example, for example.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
You you you're active, you're moving right sixty All right now,
I'm just here. I mean, I mean no, I am
pushing truly, you just get out and walk. Don't say
psychostomatically speaking, So that's your mind's effect on your body.
If you say you are something and it's not wo wo,
it's it's it's studied psychosomatically speaking, you will act it.

(06:55):
But get out, get outside, breathe, move around, take take
take charge of your life right, and you can't outsource
your health. You have to be your own advocate here.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
You know today today I got out, I walked out,
I gathered stuff to take to my chickens. I went
out and fed the chickens. I corralled the cats. I
walked around, I went over. I collected tomatoes and collected
eggs and got I've got sweet potatoes that are coming out.
I've still got cucumbers and zucchini, and I'm taking all

(07:28):
of those in the house. My daughter's in there and
she's making her own mixes. She makes her own seasoning,
she makes her own hidden Valley ranch without the monasodium
glutamate and all of the you know, the preservatives and.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Oh, you guys are going to live forever.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
No, we probably won't, but we but we but you know,
we're active.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
We're not going to show you're not sitting in front
of a TV. And what you said and what Courtney
said earlier, you got out fresh air. How important is
it that we get some air?

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Do you know that in Nova Scotia right now you
are not legally allowed to go out into the woods.
Sometimes in this climate. The greatest, the greatest way to
rage against the machine is just compside. Truly, it's a
brave new world.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
I believe it. So we need to take a break.
But when we come back, I do want to ask you.
Since you guys are health advocates, you know you study
your experts. Really, I want your take on it was
big news in the week with possibly Thailand all being
linked to autism. I want to know your take on that.
What Americans need to know about this because President Trump

(08:39):
is catching a lot of slack for this, should he be?
I want your opinion and if anyone wants to call
in and comment on that as well. Six one four
eight two one nine eight eighty six. And then we
also have another guest in studio who can vow buy
the Avenue Wellness Center. All right, we'll be right back, everybody,
