Speaker 1 (00:01):
All right, right out of the gate, everybody as Boots
drops his water everywhere it's it's raining outside. We don't
need more money.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Be careful. The roads are yeah, so.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
If you're going anywhere, just be careful. Just take it.
So so many people driving with their hazards on. Did
you see that, Boots.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Yes, well it's bad. It's bad that there's Cleveland Avenue
that's coming.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
In the earlier I dropped stuff with the shop and
it literally over a foot deep.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
It's not good.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
There was cars like corn nuts.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
So the ladies from the Avenue Wellness Center are in today.
They're going to be with us for this entire first hour.
Before we get to them in our detailed conversation about ozempic,
please call in with your experience with ozempic. We want
those calls. But first are taking a call all the
way to Scotland. Did we just lose.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
There's Scotland for you.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
We're going to try to call again, right, Chris, try
to get them on the air again. All right, So
this is this is a choice. I want to set
it up for everybody, Courtney. I asked everybody in here.
The three ladies from the Avenue and boots. I said,
we're going to Scotland today. You know who's in Scotland.
None of you guys really knew, but Courtney, you did.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
I knew. I didn't want to say anything if they
didn't know, because it was surprised.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Who's in Scotland? Courtney. Our president is in Scotland. President
Trump is in Scotland. So my brother in law, Rick
Cordacracks has bucket lists. Everybody has bucket lists. Most people
have things that they want to do one time. And
you've never had a bucket list. That's on your bucket list?
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Anything fifty seven convertible. Other than that, I've fulfilled all
of them.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Well, he goes on these golfing trips with seven of
his buddies, so eight people. They usually go to Myrtle Beach.
They thought, you know what this year, and this was
planned months ago, We're going to go to Scotland and golf.
So Rick, I think you're on the line with us now, right,
are you there?
Speaker 3 (01:51):
I hear can you hear me?
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Yeah? You sound pretty good. You're still in Scotland? Right?
Speaker 2 (01:55):
What time is it there?
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Uh, it's seven o'clock. We're five hours ahead of all.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Okay, so I was just kind of explaining the beginning
of your story. You guys go golfing every year, a
group of eight of you from Putnam County, Colida, Ohio,
that area, and you guys decided just to go to
Scotland this year, right.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Yeah, it's been a it's been something kind of a
bucket list trip for a lot of it that we've
never been over here before.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
And this was planned how many months ago.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Actually go with the with the travel company, and we've
been kind of working away through two years and it
got to we had no idea that we would end
up being the same weekend as President Trump.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
In Scotland. But aren't you staying at one of his
golf resorts.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
Yes, he resort here in Scotland. And so I'm looking
right now. I'm down at the clubhouse. But you look
up on a hill and he has a big, beautiful
hotel and about a quarter mile down the hill is
the actual clubhouse for the golf course. And so I'm
just I'm down here right now. Wow.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
But tell these guys that when you guys signed up,
when you checked in, they said, listen, there may be
a very important guest coming here. So at any point.
They have the right to search your room, search your
bags and all that. How tight has security been?
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Actually very tight. We came in on a large van
and our clubs and lugs, and we had about a
mile outside. We had to stop unload the whole vehicle,
all of our luggage, golf bags, everything had to go
through X ray machines, all of that, and then once
we passed that, it took about an hour. Then we
(03:42):
drove in the last mile of the resort. And it's
very interesting. I mean, obviously I've never been around anything
like this, but when you walk into the hotel lobby
normally you go to the desk to check in, it
kind of felt like being in a fishbowl because every
twenty feet there was a secret service right and all
around the building. You have local police everywhere, and so
(04:07):
we got when we came into hotel, they have those
handheld wands, you know, they did that all over your
body again too, and so it was an interesting night
last night just getting checked in.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
But the Kicker and Roots doesn't know this part yet.
Tell everybody listening what happened on the golf course today.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Well, it was very interesting. They said he was here,
which we got blocked off on our hallways, and so
we knew something was up right, so we had to
go out the back door. They brought us down to
the golf course and we started, and about three holes in,
a group of golf courts came up to us and
they said, hey, President Trump's going to be coming through here.
We have to check you guys out. So they went
(04:49):
through our golf bags in the middle of the golf
course and we got wand again all over our you know,
to make sure we didn't have anything. And a few
minutes later they came up to us and they said,
we were in the middle of the fairway and they
said you have to step off the course because we
have somebody playing through.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Somebody, yeah, the buddy.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
So yeah, And it was very interesting because President Trump
beat off and he hit his ball and it landed like
a foot from us.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Oh, so you couldn't keep it.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
And then yeah, but then they obviously secret Service made
us back away from it, and he came up and
hit it and he he said, hey, thanks for letting
us play through. And you know, you normally on a
golf course, you have a couple of carts with your
group and you're going right we counted him. There were
thirty six with his foesome. They were thirty six golf
(05:46):
carts full of people all over, and then at different
places on the court at caffolding build up, maybe four
and there were snipers on the scaffolding. And I'm looking
right now the roof of the hotel and there's snipers
right now up on the roof of the hotel that
overlooks the golf course. So everywhere we went it was like,
(06:08):
you know, your adrenaline gets going, like, hey, this is
We've never been that close to the president. And then boom,
he was gone. They played right through, and so it was,
you know, we thought we missed our chance. So then
we got to the turn and there's a little restaurant
out in the middle of the golf course and his
authorage pulled in and they went inside and they wouldn't
(06:31):
let us in to do anything. So we kept on playing,
and a couple holes later, I think maybe the twelveth hole,
they came back up again. Security did and they went
through our golf bags again and they gave us the
wand treatment and everything, and they said he's going to
go ahead and play the back nine, and we were kind,
(06:52):
so we were excited and ended up being that we
finished a hole and they were playing up to it.
So we had to wait on the next tea box
to let them play through. And they came up and
they hit and again President Trump was very nice. He said, hey,
thanks for letting us play through it. And he said, hey,
we're from a little town in Ohio and we supported you,
(07:14):
you know, and stuff like that. Can we get a picture?
And he was extremely gracious. He came over and took
pictures with us, and he was talking about Ohio and
how he we won Ohio three year, three elections in
a row, and very nice banter back and forth. Took
pictures with him. So it was it was extremely uh,
(07:34):
I don't know all of the ordinary experience, but extremely cool.
And he was so personable that he stood there and
talked with us and stuff and things that we never expected.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Right.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
So I want to assume that all five or six
of you, eight of you guys, you're all eight, you're
all probably Republicans, right, yes, Okay, So he probably loved that.
He probably ate that up knowing that you know, he
like Manny And I'll tell you being in media at
a low level, you wonder if people actually like you,
(08:05):
But at his level, he probably thinks every day, is
anybody actually like me?
Speaker 3 (08:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Can you imagine President of Trump going to Scotland and
then running into eight guys on the golf course from Ohio,
all of his vice president and then I saw you
also sent Randy a picture of where you have to
sign in when you go to dinner, and he signed
his name and his initials and he put Milania ate
the lot my lobster or something like that.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Right, that was a really neat event. We kind of
had dinner planned a few months in advance that we
were going to eat in the hotel. So they caught
us to a private room and in that private room
had to sign in a register and they let us
look at the book and we were just slipping through
the different people that have eaten in there in the
last couple of years, and then here it is that
(08:49):
he had signed in. There was him and Milania, So
that it was pretty neat things.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
You know, to be honest with you, even if Jimmy
Carter or Bill Clinton or Obama aggered through I mean,
I mean Biden, I would still be excited They're still president.
The United States, and I've never got to meet a
president the United States, so I'm honored for you that
you got such a great thing. Even if it was
Jimmy Carter. Even though I didn't like his policies, He's
(09:15):
still president of the United States, and I respect that,
and yeah, what a great experience.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
We all need to do that, right, Yeah. Who the
president is the leader of our nation, right right?
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Yeah, now, Biden not helping him up the course because
he probably fall but yether, you know, I'm being.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
It was really funny too, because he came up and
he stood beside us and we were taking the group picture,
and I kind of put my arm around him, and
they kind of looked over at me and the Secret
Service guys, we're looking at us, like, hey, President, they.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Would draw, they would shoot you so fast, you wouldn't
know what.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
I love hearing that he was so personal, because that's
how he comes to care.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Henny. He was so cordial both times. We you know, really,
in an eighteen hold golf game, do you have the
President of the United States play through twice?
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Right exactly?
Speaker 2 (10:05):
I mean I saw him drive by one time when
I was sitting in traffic blocked off other.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
Than that, I come about the ball.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
His ball rolled right up and hit Rick's foot.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
I would have said, dude, can I have that ball?
Speaker 3 (10:16):
Brilliant the ball?
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Well, we got to go to break but Rick, when
Randy was sharing all these pictures with me and telling
us about it, like, I've got to have him on
the air because it was such a great story that
nobody else has. So it's a great experience.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
It was an incredible day, incredible day.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Say hi to your family. They're all listening right now
in Colde, so say hi, Rick.
