Speaker 1 (00:00):
One hundred and thirty miles per hour. Rode into the
studio today with Boots because Randy's coming in later.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
I had it on metric.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
It was early to be a co.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Host with me for the What Matters show? So I said, hey, Boots,
can I ride to the studio with you? Because we
both live in the Westernville area. He said, sure, no problem.
So I get into this hot rod corvette. It's like
decked out in red and black.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
I mean, first of.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
All, I fell like five feet before I actually sat
down in this cockpit shape thing. And he's like, what's
the fastest you've ever gone in a car? I said,
I really don't know.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Mayby watch this.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
There was nobody around, we were on a country road.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
We weren't on a country road.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Quick we get up to one hundred twelve miles per hour.
Well that wasn't good enough for him, So then we
get up to one hundred and twenty miles per hour
the next time, and then one more time we got
up to one hundred and thirty miles per hour.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
And you know what, Boots test to me.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
He says, see, now you can tell everybody that you've
gone one hundred and thirty miles per hour in a car,
all right, and that's not the fastest you've gone.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
I don't condone anything you're saying. Don't try it at home. Kids.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
What's the fastest you've ever gone?

Speaker 2 (01:07):
One hundred and seventy? But I dragged race for many years,
and a quarter mile I got to one sixty.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
So let me ask you something.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
If we would have been stopped by police, they would
have said, do you know how fast you were going?

Speaker 2 (01:20):
I said no, I don't seventy And.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
They would have said, why why were you going, sir?

Speaker 2 (01:26):
I don't know what you're talking about. If you had
your laser gun, have you had it calibrated? Because I
don't think I was going to fast. You go yay
guys like my slow cousin, I would have.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Said, yeah, huh, I've got a picture of him. No dometer.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
No. I would have called Jack, my attorney, and said, hey,
get ready, I hope they don't take me the pokey.
But there was no cars around. That was a safe part.
There was no cars, or just you give me no cars.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
I see cars to the right of meet, cars in
front of me, and cars to the left of me.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
I don't know what you're talking.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
About you're making up stuff. Now, I only do it.
There was they were way down horizon and I stood
on you. You're on the two lanes over.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
And I wonder what the people who were on the
road were thinking. What do you think they were thinking?

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Hot rod or a hole?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
I'm sorry, I thought two things. That is cool. Where
that guy's an idiot, I would say that's probably not,
although I don't condone what I did, but there are
people that are dumb enough to do it that don't
have the experience that I have behind a wheel on an automobile.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
You have done this for years.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
You used to race cars my whole life. I've raced
at Columbustor Speedway. I raced at kill Care, I raced
in my law in Michigan. I raced in Pittsburgh. I mean,
I've been so for me, going one hundred mile hour
in three seconds is like a seventy mini hour for
an average person. So I don't expect anybody to do that.
But you know, I turned my ways on make sure
there's no police up ahead anyway.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
So a little later on the show, we're going to
ask all of you, what's the most dangerous thing you've
ever done. That may be one of them for me
going one hundred thirty miles per hour.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Wor thing is you had no control. You're just sitting
there with the seatbeling.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
You know what.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Honestly that is the worst thing.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
But you wouldn't can you imagine, No, you wouldn't feel
anything that.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
No, But can you imagine the people we leave behind?
What would Oh my god?

Speaker 2 (03:05):
You know my attorney's probably listening right now. You flipping out?

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Well, good reason. But we got here safely, and there
you go.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
It was.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
It was an adventure, Boots. It's always an adventure with you.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Next Ti, I'm gonna take you a hundred Masuzuki. Sevenzuki
may not be a next time there.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
I think if I have to have a ride to
work from now on, I'm gonna say uber.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Because I I don't hold back on this type stuff.
When I went to Florida last year to visit friends
of mine, I was Shank and his wife and I
had to go to my buddy's Georgia and I went
on down and I hit the Florida Line and I
got passed by two other high end cars and they
were going a lot faster than I was. I had
a cruise, set a little bit of buzz feed limit,
and they blew by me and I was like, well, shoot,

(03:47):
there's my pigeons. I call them pigeons. So I got
behind these guys. One was a Maybak Mercedes and one
was an Outi eight. So we're talking hundreds of thousands
of automobiles, and I just got with them. Because typically
the troops lasering the first fast car he sees or
she I'm sure yeah, So I'm always back to the right,
and I'm like the wing, the guy in the back.
There's been many times I've been cruising with a crowd

(04:10):
and that two cars in front of me getul and
I drive on by.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
So anyway, call us up later and let us know,
what's the most dangerous thing you've ever done in your life.
Explain that experience. That could be fun, little fun conversation there.
But before we do that, it's time to get serious.
What do you think about President Trump taking out the
nuclear facilities three of them in Iran? You know you're
hearing the pros, you're hearing the cons. You're hearing it
was totally illegal for him to do that without the

(04:36):
Senate's approval, but he is the President of the United States.
Do you think we're safer now because of this or
did we begin World War three?

Speaker 3 (04:44):
What's your thoughts, Phil?

Speaker 2 (04:45):
I think I think I think we're safer. I think
if we would let Iran have a nuclear weapon, they
think the next life is more important in this life.
So you can argue any point anybody wants to the minute.
Crazy people have a web of that magnitude. They will
kill many people. If Iran had a nuclear weapon, they

(05:06):
would level uh Israel.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
We're taking your phone calls on that too. Six one four, eight, two,
one nine, eight eighty six. And hasn't Iran always been
a threat to the United States of America? Do they
not really hate the United States of America?

Speaker 2 (05:22):
They hate us infidels because Christians, we have a free society,
We let women vote, we we we like gays and
black people. I mean, they don't like those people over there.
That's what people don't understand. The liberal left here in
America don't understand how much those people hate us people.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
I want you to hear what Secretary of State Marco
Rubio said today on a national news program. So they
asked him this point blank, and here was his answer.
Go ahead and play Chris.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Are we now at.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Chris? Can you turn it up a little bit?

Speaker 4 (05:59):
War against Iran? This is this is very simple. You know,
sixty seven days ago, the President of the United States
sent the Iranians a letter and it said, you're not
going to have nuclear weapons, You're not going to have
a militarized nuclear program. Let's negotiate. I want to do
this diplomatically. I want to do this peacefully. They played,
they tried to play them along the way they've played
every American president for the last thirty five years. And

(06:21):
you know, the President told them, if we don't get
a deal, which is what we wanted, then I'll have
to handle it differently. And that's what he did last night.
He handled it differently. But that was an Iranian choice.
We didn't make that choice. They did by playing games
with Donald Trump. They made a huge mistake. And President
Trump acted last night. And I think the world today
is safer and more stable than it was twenty four
hours ago. And a bunch of these countries putting out

(06:42):
statements condemning us. Privately, they all agree with us that
this needed to be done. They got to do what
they got to do for their own public relations purposes.
But the only people in the world that are unhappy
about what happened in Iran last night is.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
The regime we've just arrived in the colonies.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
So your thoughts, your opinions, we are taking them. Six
one four, eight, two one nine, eight eighty six. Do
you feel safe for now?

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Does Iran tell here?

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Here's what I'm Here's what I'm afraid of. They have
cells here now in America. And because of all these,
because of everything Biden, I think Biden has a lot
to blame for this, the last few presents clear doact
to Bush. Let Iran get away with us. Like he
just said, Now, if you think about it, there's cells
here United States. I guarantee there's terrorist planing striking us

(07:26):
right now. So folks that take advantage of our second Amendment,
we're all armed. I will have my ar ready, and
I will have my rounds. I've already got thousand rounds.
I may get waste in the first day, but I
will go to whatever front line we have to to
fight back.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
If we have to do this for you, you could
just get in your car and drive fastly away from them.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
As your car goes two hundred miles per hour.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
If it hits a fan here, I take my three
quarter ton truck. I'd weld steal plates over the tires,
and i would grab a few of my buddies and
I'd get what I get and I'll go fight back.
I may not be able to run, but I'm a
hell of a shot. I can shoot a buck at
one hundred yard at a full sprint. I can shoot
some guy wearing flip flops and a dress.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Well, we'll have to see what happens. But I think
the majority from what I've seen anyway. Now, granted, there's
been a lot of pushback against the move, but the
majority of comments and posts that I have seen people
are praising President Trump for having the strength to do
that when any other president before him has not done that.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
I don't know why. I don't know what goes on
like Bora.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Nobody does, right, Yeah, the big the.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
Big evil state or the underground whatever. I don't know
what they do in DC. I wonder what they talk about,
Like you and I have conversations during break Do they
have conversations between bombing people? Hey, well we can't bomb
him because he supported my nephew and his uncle was
my uncle's best friend. I have a feeling that that's
what happens.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
A lot going on that we don't know about, And.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
I think we always had Iraq and they all had
Russia and the rest of them had Iran, and we
played war so big countries wouldn't blow up each other.
So we're like don King with Tyson and holy Field.
We had a little fight lined up and one time
we let Mike Tyson get away and he ended up
in trouble. So that's what we did with Iraq. And
that's why I think there's all kind of conspiracy stuff,
and I believe most of it. But we needed to

(09:13):
take them out from having nuclear weapon capability.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
The exact area. They can't. They can't have that game.
You can't have it. Also, you need to answer some questions.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
We're getting some texts and messages coming in about a
big plume of smoke that they're seeing.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
You have the details, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
One sixty one and two seventy, stay away from that area.
I guess a tanker is burning up big time. One
sixty one and uh two seventy and look at the flames.
I mean it's a tanker. Everybody's telling me and I
just had another listener. He listens to us religiously. He
sent this. Frank said, there's a car cut off a

(09:50):
tanker and a tanker flipped and caught fire northeast side
on two seventy.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
If you're driving by that, also call in and let
us know what you're seeing and what the traffic is
like there one four eight two one nine eighty six.
Those pictures you're showing me right.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Now Sunbury Road half mile huge So it's it's it's
a big time.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
So if you saw that, if you're driving past it,
if you're stuck in traffic, just let us.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
Know so we can let others know.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Six one four eight two one nine eight eighty six.
And Jody Buick, thanks for being part of our show today.
We see that you are listening to us while driving
home from Hilton Head.

Speaker 2 (10:22):

Speaker 3 (10:22):
