Speaker 1 (00:00):
Na from Vance's Outdoors. Linda, did you have good Thanksgiving?

Speaker 2 (00:04):
I did?

Speaker 3 (00:05):
It was too much quiet? No, I didn't eat too much.

Speaker 4 (00:10):
Well, it's going to be busy come Monday morning. Come
on Monday, it'll be the opening of deer season. You
believe that.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Yep, gun season starts Monday.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
Wow wow wow. And went last week there was there
would be thirty six million people deer hunting, running around
with guns and I'm not going to be one mass shooting.
You believe that. Nopeouns gun owners out out helping control
the herd, because let's be honest, man, you've heard I've
moved up north in a lot. I bet I passed

(00:42):
ten to fifteen deer a night standing on the side
of the road.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
I love.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Yeah. So the population's out of control, and then they're
going to get my neighbor, Yeah, you got it.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
During post season was out and he got a buck
with a big racket.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
It came from my property and I was really ticked off.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Well he's better off deal.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Yeah, it's oh yeah, we have lots of deals coming.
We've got all those last minute things you need your ammunition,
your camo and guns, of course, but uh, you know
boots and sucks because I'm cold this week, which is
a good thing for gun season, right.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
So yeah, back up, why is that a good thing
for gun season?

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Warm?

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Yeah, they don't want those don't get warm after they've
been on a shot. So you get them cleaned and
get that meat taking care of quickly.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
Yeah, that that's the main thing. A lot you don't realize.
I think you're just not shooting the animal. You got
to brain home, You got to clean the animal, you
got to skin the animal, you got to get it
in the packaged and it's a lot of work. You
saw the proper knives and stuff for that, don't you right?

Speaker 3 (01:47):
We do absolutely, and you know, and a lot of
people to share it, donating that meat to people who
don't have enough food you eat, So it's always a
good thing to help out to London.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Let me ask you something.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
We talked to you a lot about the classes that
you offer, which a lot of women have gone to
you before they purchase a gun, and a lot of
women obviously will get that gun for self defense. Do
you offer classes as far as teaching people before they
go out on that first hunt.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
We do have a hunter safety courses at Chanta or Yeah,
those are led action by high Department and Natural resources people. Yeah, yeah,
but absolutely we do those classes.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Those classes started about forty two years ago and it's
the best thing ever happened. It taught a lot of people,
even adults, on how not to be stupid while deer hunting.
Learning right backdrop is learning, and that that's what that's
what's so great about vance as they could come and
buy their new shotgun, go out and practice and buy
the right ammunition and get the right ammunition and gets
right coaching. So thank you for keeping us safe, that's

(02:49):
for sure.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Absolutely, I know what's beyond what you're shooting at for sure.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
So I just read this stat and it is around
one thousand hunting related injuries and one hundred fatalities happened
each year in America because of people not knowing what
they're doing or the mistakes they make while hunting.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
Well they thought of.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
A tree, yes, yes, that falling. Not not knowing how
to use your safety gear is very important to understand
that as well.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Gosh, dang, one hundred fatalities each year.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Yeah, you go, that's that's low. It used to be
a lot more in that.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Well, it also says about a billion dollars in damages
reported from all those different mistakes.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Yeah. So you know, I had a friend of mine
fall out of a tree stand and I had to
crawl out of the woods. He's in good shape now,
but he fell and broke both of his legs because
he wasn't using the proper stuff and he made his
own home aide stuff. And he fell thirty feet and
broke both of his legs and crawled out of the woods.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Yeah, actually a load.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Yeah, you got to put him in hyperic. But so
you guys have plenty of slugs and twelve gauge and
twenty gauge and four to ten. You got plenty. You're
not out yet, Nope.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
So we have all that up for for all the
people out there ready to get some meat in their freezer.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
All right, well, how do they get hold of you?

People love a yetti. You get a YETI and you
can't take it out of somebody's hand. They love that thing.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
A yetti kept beer cold in a cooler. I forgot
about my Yetti cooler out on the deck and it
was six months after now was wintertime, six months after
New Year's Eve, and they were still cold when I
opened them up.
