(00:00):
Man talk about an adventure on whatwas it? Thursday morning? I left
the Fort Worth area and headed forCorpus Christy, pulling my small trailer.
Michelle was like, Hey, Ineed you to go buy storage and pick
up a few things for me.Gretchen already set those aside, so you

(00:22):
know when you when you get totown and you're about to come back,
you can just load up and okay. Cool. So here I am pulling
my trailer eighty five miles an hour. That's the toll way, which is
just awesome, Thank you so much, Texas. So there I am tooling
her along eighty five miles an hour, and I look up in the rear
view mirror and I can see thelicense plate on the trailer. By the

(00:44):
way, I just paid sixty dollarsto register the thing. You know again,
it's a yearly, of course. So I see it kind of flapping
in the wind, and then itflies off, flies off at eighty five
miles an hour on the tollway andI and I knew that I had gone
the bridge right when I saw itfly off, and I immediately pulled over

(01:06):
in the courtesy lane, hit theemergencies and went well there's no way I
can back up that far. I'mgonna have to walk it. So I
get out of the suv and Istart walking while people are just screaming by
a eighty five miles an hour. You already know where this is going.
I can hear click click click clickclick click, and it's my license plate

(01:27):
being run over and completely mangled. It practically folded in half. It was
just absolutely ridiculous how bad a beatingthis thing took. So there I am
walking, and I know it's stupidto think about running out under the roadway

(01:48):
eighty five mile an hour, threelane toll road, and so I'm just
standing there waiting for the proper youknow, clearance when when I don't see
any vehicles coming, and I couldsee for a very very long time,
so I knew, okay, eightyfive miles an hour. You know they're
traveling pretty fast or was it likethree football fields every two seconds or something.

(02:14):
I mean, it's ridiculous how fastthe eighty five miles an hour is
when you're trying to run across afreeway, which I do not once again
recommend. I know I risked mylife for a license plate, but I
had just renewed the registration on it, and I was like, hmm,
long as I wait long enough? And I waited and then ran across like

(02:36):
it just darted and grabbed the licenseplate or what was left of it,
and it was no clearing. Ihad to run all the way across like
grab it and keep running. Andthen I stopped, waited for another big
wide berth of clearance, and thenran back across. And then there I
am walking with my license plate lookinglike a dumbass on the eighty five mile

(02:58):
an hour toll ways. So yeah, definitely an adventure over the weekend.
I've got seether and gasoline, andthen I had to pound it out with
a like a rubber mallet. Andthe weirdest thing was, once I had
the license plate, I didn't putit back on. I just drove and
I had a trooper pull up behindme and stayed back there for quite a

(03:19):
while, and I thought, okay, cool, I'm gonna get pulled over.
I'll just tell them that it blewoff. Never never pulled me over,
you know, absolutely no license plateon the trailer, which makes me
understand now why so many people say, you know, I just put that
off for a little while and keepthat money right here in my bucket.
Don't run across the freeway. It'sa great way to get killed. I
know it was stupid, but Igot my plate.
