Speaker 1 (00:00):
Rest for the wicked Rex in the morning on see
one O one Victory is Mine. I finally got to
pet the cat that I've been trying to pet for
like six seven months. I've been leaving food out for me,
even went and bought him his own cat food. At first,
I was feeding him chicken and scraps and stuff because
we didn't have cat food or cats when he first
showed up at the property looking all mal nursed, and

(00:22):
I'd try to feed this cat and he just hiss,
didn't want it anywhere nothing. I want nothing to do
with you. But on the other Paul, I am starving.
So I've been feeding this cat, trying to get closer
to him for like six months.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
I get a little.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Closer and a little closer. Last night, for the first time,
he let me pet him without chewing my arm off.
It was magical. He I mean, I get a little closer,
he'd get a little closer. I'd move afoot, like just barely.
I would move the tiniest bit and he'd just take
off you smart like that. And last night I finally

(01:02):
got to really give him some screechy scratcheese between the
ears and all the way down his back, you know,
did that thing where they lift their butt up in
the air like your ex girlfriend. And it was just
amazing the fact that I was able to finally pet
the cat and he was very happy to eat his food.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
I go overboard.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
He gave him some of me. I was like, the
baby steps right here. I even tried to leave a
box out with towels in.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
It, and he won't sleep in it. He sleeps somewhere else.
He's a wild animal.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
It's also a Russian blue.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
They're kind of rare from what I hear or what
I read on the internet. We had to look him
up because he looked like a different kind of cat,
a cat that I have never really seen in person before.
He's beautiful.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
I please let me pet you, please, And I just like,
come here, give me the need to hiss and run off.
And then finally last night, I don't know what happened,
we had this little weird little bond. He came over,
started eating I was I got to pet him for
quite some time.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
I was absolutely thrilled. Yes, it was magical. And of
course there's like video from our security system that I
posted on my TikTok. I might put it on my Facebook.
I don't know, so I'm gonna try to pet it.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
At some point, this cat will be mine. He will
curl up with me in a little ball in my
lap and be loved. At some point, I'm gonna keep
trying with the cat.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
But last night was just a major breakthrough.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Deftone's coming up for you right here on See one
on One along with nothing More.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
See one on One Rocks
