Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three days you need to know.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Top of the Morning.

Speaker 3 (00:03):
So it's just after six o'clock on this Tuesday morning.
Ricky Santez is still out today. But we've got our
friend Kevin Manna with three things he needs to.

Speaker 4 (00:10):
Now and Top of the Morning to you, Zach Hi
I Captain. Good to see Thanksgiving week, Let's go. The
twenty twenty four Billboard Music Award nominations just came out,
and if you can believe it, Taylor Swift has a
bunch of them. She's got sixteen nominations this year. The
only artist ahead of her is Zach Bryan, despite the
drama surrounding him at the moment, He's got eighteen nominations.

(00:31):
Morgan Wallen has fifteen, and Sabrina Carpenter has nine. The
show will air live on Fox and Amazon's Fire TV
channels on Thursday, December twelve. Another music news, Lana del
Ray just announced a new album. It is coming. It's
called The Right Person Will Stay. It's kind of a
shorter album title for Lana. She got married this year,
he's going through some personal changes and now she's channeling

(00:51):
that through music. Thirteen new songs on this album coming
in May, and it sounds like a stadium tour is
planned for the summer. And according to YOU News and
World Report, Nashville is a decent place to live. They
just put out their annual Best places to Live in
the US list, And what number do you think they
put us at, Zach.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
If it's decent, I would say like twenty five, twenty six,
Like right, smack Dave in the middle.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
We were fifty fiftieth. I mean that's you know, thanks
for putting us on the list, but fifty, come on.
Then The top five cities on their list were Charlotte,
North Carolina, Greenville, South Carolina, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Boise, Idaho,
and Naples, Florida. Those are the top five.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
So a bunch of smaller cities. Yeah, that makes sense,
and I know it's.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Expensive here, but they did credit Nashville for its innovation,
blossoming job market, exploding entertainment scene, and great morning radio.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Yeah, they definitely put that one in there, that.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
Last one myself, but I do feel like we should
be higher than fifty. Come on, US News and World.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Report, Ricky Zach and Mennow in the morning.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Taylor Swift, it's one oh seven five The River Ricky,
Zach and Manno in the morning. No, Ricky, she's out
this week Thanksgiving week. But I'm here with Zach and
we're saying good morning to Laurie and Manchester. Laurie, what
are you doing this morning?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
I'm driving to work. Laurie.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
You sound like you're very perky this morning. So who
is blessed with your presence? When you get to work?

Speaker 4 (02:14):
The United States Postal Service? Oh, typically not the happiest
bunch over there, but you got some clip in.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Your step as coffee.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Do you work in the actual post office or are
you out like delivering mail?

Speaker 2 (02:28):
I'm actually a deliverer. Oh my god, do you bring
dog treats with you?

Speaker 5 (02:32):
I'm not supposed to, but.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
We want to tell your boss and my guy does.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
The guy in our neighborhood always has some and he
loves dogs.

Speaker 6 (02:40):
Yes, I love all my route doggies.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Yeah, that's great. I always said, I know, you know,
the Postal Service is a stressful place to work, but
I think I talked about it with Zach and Rickey
in here before. That would be like, in a perfect world,
that would be my dream job to be out there
walking around getting fresh air. I would love that job.

Speaker 5 (02:58):
I love it. I've been doing it since twenty eighteen.
It's a very fulfilling job.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
I love that. And how much you walk and how
much you're driving.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
I don't walk.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
I'm full mounted delivery.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
Is what they call it.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Got it? Okay, Yeah, I just I know when I
was a kid, our deliverer walked and his calfs were enormous.

Speaker 6 (03:20):
That's a city carrier, Okay, I'm a rural carrier.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Okay, that makes way more sense.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Well, Laurie, Yeah, we're gonna tell you are the first
caller of the day. So you want these passes to
go to the Nashville Children's Theater to see Pippy Long Soaking.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
That's there until December fifteenth.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Yay.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
We love the Nashville Children's Theater. My kids love it.
They do such a great job over there. Were so
lucky to have this institution here in Nashville. Congratulations, Laurie,
thank you. You have a great day today. I love
the positive vibes we're starting our day with, so thank
you for that. I'm gonna put you in a hold
for a second, okay, okay, and we have more of
these passes tomorrow. I know everybody's trying to fill time

(03:56):
with the kids off school, so this is a great
thing to do.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
The River Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning a carpenter.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
It's a bit before seven o'clock on this Tuesday morning.
It's one of seven to five the River. I've had
this data on the calendar circle for a while. Big
day and the Mano household it is.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
You said, your dog, Owen is having surgery.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Yeah, he's eleven years old. He's never been put under
or anything. He's been very healthy. Knock on wood. He's
had a you know, a long, healthy life, and he's
got this growth on the back of his leg, which
is not cancerous. They've they've tested it. They tested it
a year and a half of those and they just
tested it again recently. But it's getting so big it's
becoming intrusive on his life.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
I mean, he's a little dog. People like, what thirty pounds.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Yeah, he's a I guess a small to medium sized dog.
And this thing is growing and it's just it just
getting bigger. So our vet suggested that yes, it's time
to look into our options. And today is the day
my wife and kids drop him off. This morning, we
pick him up tomorrow. Yeah, I'm sure it's gonna go great.
But you know, whenever, whenever something like this happens, it's
in the back of your head all day.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Oh day long. He is absolutely gonna feel so much better.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
But I know that, like your children are very he
attached to things. How are they like dealing with the
fact that number one, Owen's not gonna be there all
day and knowing that he has to have surgery.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
They are sad. They're both very sad about this. They
know that ultimately it will uh, you know, he'll feel
better on the other side of it. But uh, last night,
my son Riley, he's six years old, we were hugging
Owen and giving him all the love and stuff, and
then I told him that they were gonna shave Owen's leg,
his entire leg. They're gonna shave it for the surgery. That,
for some reason, is what set him off. He just

(05:27):
burst into tears. He couldn't handle that, for some reason,
was the first dame he cried about the thing. He
couldn't handle the pain that they're gonna shave his leg.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
He didn't care about anything else, etcetera. He didn't want
him to look embarrassing.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
He might have been overtired too.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
I don't know, Precious, but he's gonna be so much
better on the other end of it.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
And it's just a quick little surgery.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Absolutely setting out the best positive vibes through these airwaves
to to Owen. I love everybody. I give him an
extra long snuggle as I left the house. Yeah, he'll
be great, He'll be gad. I'll give an update, give
an updates soon.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Oh hi, Hello, good morning, Happy Tuesday. Thanks for starting
your day with us. It's right after seven o'clock. All
right now, Kevin Mana has us three things need to know.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
Thank you, appreciate that, Zach. There's a big story at
the moment. The Menendez brothers, Lyle and Eric were scheduled
to appear in court yesterday for the first time in
twenty eight years. There's been renewed interest in their case
ever since that Monsters show came out on Netflix. There's
been a push for them to be freed. They're supposed
to appear remotely yesterday, but I guess there were technical
difficulties and they weren't able to show. But we did

(06:27):
find out that their December eleventh re sentencing hearing has
been delayed. The judge in the case needs more time,
so that hearing has been pushed to the end of January.
Some people thought they might be freed before the end
of the year, and that is not happening. Also, yesterday
we found out that the wife of Lyle Menendez announced
their separation after twenty one years of marriage.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
She said, you're about to get out of jail. I
do not want to be around you.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
He's single. Ladies, Oh yeah, something a little lighter here,
lighter than the Menendez brothers. Lucky Lad Farms Holly Jolly
Festival of Light starts this week. We love Lucky Lad Farms.
I was just out there in the corn maze with
my kids picking pumpkins starting this Friday and running through
December twenty seconds that got their nearly mile long trail
of twinkling lights, got fresh bake cookies, s'mores, hot coco,

(07:11):
Christmas gifts, all the things again that starts this Friday.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
I want to go.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
It does sound great and dictionary dot Com has chosen
their word of the years. Zach, Do you have any guesses?

Speaker 2 (07:22):
M No, actually, because I feel like it changes every week.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right, we treslough. Well. This one's
courtesy of a viral video that just took over. Its
demure Oh I love demure choice by dictionary dot com.
It is defined by dictionary dot com. It's characterized by
shyness and modesty reserved. That's what they say. And again.
This is the audio originally posted on TikTok by Jules

(07:48):
Lebron that started in all here it is.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
You see how you do my makeup for work? Very demure,
very mindful.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
And from there it just exploded and congratulations. Demure the
word of the you know.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Happy to be here, new best friends. Ricky Zachon Mano
in the morning one five.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Seven five the River. Good morning, It's time to learn
with Zach SPACs.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
Did you know that in ancient Egypt the word for
cat was actually pronounced mew i did not yea. So
if you call him meals then you're basically from ancient Egypt.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Yeah, let me hear you best mew mew you sound mad?

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Yeah? Okay, your fact of the day.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Ricky Zachon Mano in the Morning, seven five the River.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Ricky, zach and Mano in the morning. Ricky is not
here today? She's out this week Thanksgiving week. But Zach
and I have a question for you. Something she's very
passionate about. Uh, it just comes up in here. Sometimes
we see people do this on TV and it's a
point of contention in the room.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
We tell you that she's passionate about it. She literally
gets so mad every day.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
Yeah, we want your opinion. Our outside clothes allowed on
your bed.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
And when he says outside clothes, that clothes, you wanter
the work or to the grocery store like something you
wore all day. And then you just go home in
your outside clothes.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Slop on your bed six one five, seven, three seven nine,
one oh seven. Every once in a while, we'll see
somebody on TV. We have like these weird sitcoms on
in here, and Ricky gets so angry. You're like, you're
putting the outside clothes on your bed. So uh, we
thought today would be the great, the best day to
have al Yeah, without her, but maybe she's the majority here.
Maybe people are like, oh my gosh, that's disgusting to

(09:25):
lay on your bed and your work clothes. Six one five, seven,
three seven nine, one oh seven. Let us know what
your rule is at home?

Speaker 1 (09:31):
One oh seven five the River, Ricky and Zach and
Meno in the morning.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
Hey, whose side of this or you want? Do you
think outside clothes like your work clothes, your day clothes,
should be allowed on your bed at home?

Speaker 5 (09:42):
Yes they should.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
So you're okay with like just frolinking around the world
and getting all of these other people's germs and nastiness
all over you and then go on to lay in
the bed.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
I don't know, he's ten years old and he doesn't care.
That's a very honest answer, fair enough, and you'll probably should.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Not care about it.

Speaker 4 (10:02):
Thank you for your input. Gobble gobble, gobble gobble. All right,
heavy Thanksgiving week, buddy, We'll go to Heather. Now, Heather,
what do you think Ricky is outraged whenever she sees
somebody on TV laying on their bed and their work clothes.

Speaker 6 (10:16):
Whether I'm working in an ofFast floor on at the restaurant,
especially in a restaurant, do not come home and get
in your dirty uniform after, you know, working in a
kitchen service people all day, but even in the office
there's that sense of I'm done the day. You feel
more fresh, you know, at least putt pajamas on the sweatpants.
I don't care, but don't get in my bed. That's disgusting.
And then the other thing I learned I'm big on

(10:38):
now are house shoes. I take my shoes off, I
have a place for them, and I put my house
shoes off and I love it.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
That's officially how you know you're getting old, Heather, is
when you have house shoes there.

Speaker 6 (10:49):
I don't even care. I love it. I think it's
the best. Think about it, you're tracking in all this
dirt from outside.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
I definitely do not wear my shoes in the house.
I mean, I know a lot of people don't to
each their own, but I don't have house shoes.

Speaker 6 (11:01):
Maybe I should look into summer literally slippers if people
call them house shoes.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
All right, Heather, we'll mark you down in Ricky's category.
Thanks for your input.

Speaker 6 (11:09):
Happy Thanksgiving us.

Speaker 4 (11:10):
Happy Thanksgiving to you. Faith from Laverne. Last one here?
What do you think who sided you on with the
clothes on the bed situation?

Speaker 5 (11:16):
So I will preface this, but I'm a house care
worker and I do not let my patience family sit
on their hospital person's bed. But think of it. You
said on a public bench, you sit on a subway
seat you sit in a restaurant, would you let that
and fall asleep on that bench? Probably not? So bring
it into your bed.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
You know what. That's very well said.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
I mean, you make a lot of good points, but yes,
I would fall asleep on that.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
If I need to take a nap, I'll just lay
wherever I gotta leaf.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
See, she made me want to burn all of my clothes.
All right, Thank you Faith for weighing in.

Speaker 5 (11:50):
Thank you a good one.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
You two thanksgiving Faith. So even though Ricky wasn't here
to have this conversation, it seems like, uh, the majority
of people back her up.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Yeah, I guess you're not supposed to wear you side
clothes on the bed.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
I don't know why people care so much.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
I'm gonna have a full change of clothes waiting for
me by the front door. From there, the house, shoes, from.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
All of it.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning givin Mano's Game
of the Day presented by Genesis Diamonds. It's game time, Babe,
there we go.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
That's what I'm talking about.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
We are playing for tickets to see the band Nightly,
a great, great, great local band. They're headlining the Rymans
for the first time. If you're not familiar with them,
here's Nightly right here. That's what they sound like. They
came in here a couple of weeks ago to announce

(12:38):
the fact that they are headlining the Ryman which is
a big deal for that.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Yeah, they're so cool.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
They played Our River on the rooftop and now they're
headlining the rhyming like it's so cool to.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
See six one five, seven, three, seven nine seven. The
game this week is what's it from? Thanksgiving edition? We're
about to play some audio. If you can identify the source,
you get the tickets to see them. Okay, here's the
clue today.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
Happy Thanksgiving. It's turn to say Happy Thanksgiving Back. Happy
Thanksgiving Back.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
Could be a TV show, a movie commercial, whatever. Six one, five, seven,
three seven, nine, one oh seven. If you know what
that's from, these tickets are.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Years one oh seven five The River. Heiky Zach.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
Jelly roll on one O seven to five The River.
He's playing that big hometown show at Bridgestone tonight. Right now,
it's Kevin Manoh's Game of the Day presented by Genesis Diamonds,
playing for tickets to see the band Nightly let's say
good morning to Jacob in Lafayette.

Speaker 5 (13:31):
How are you?

Speaker 2 (13:32):
We're good? How are you? I'm good. I'm just getting
home from work.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Are you feeling really confident that you know where this
clip is from?

Speaker 5 (13:40):
I am pretty sure.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Okay, we're gonna play it for you one more time,
Jacob again, the game of the day this week playing
for tickets to see the band. Nightly at the Ryman,
we're playing What's it From? Thanksgiving Edition? I will give
you the clue one more time and then you tell
us what it's from.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
Here we go, Happy Thanksgiving. It's your turn to say
Happy Thanksgiving back? Happy Thanksgiving back, Jacob.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
What's it from?

Speaker 5 (14:05):
Is it from? You've got mail with Tom Hanks?

Speaker 4 (14:09):
Yeah, he even gave some cast congratulations Jacob, Thank you.
It was easy for you. Ius expected that to last
a bit longer. Nightly at the Rhym in May thirtieth,
you're gonna be there.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Aw. Three things you need to know.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Oh, good morning and happy Tuesday. It's right after eight o'clock.
It's gonna be a beautiful day.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
Ricky Sanchez is out today, So Kevin man Outs, or
as I'd like to call him, keV Dog, has the
three things you need to know that's true.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
Thank you, Zach. First, the old PSA for anyone that
might need to visit one of those driver self kiosks
in the next few weeks. The self service kiosks. I
just used one a couple weeks ago, as Zach, I
know you did too.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (14:47):
A ton of them in the area are closed this
week for equipment upgrades. The kiosks at the Hickman, Macon,
and Smith County Clerk's offices, Nashville Metro Center, Laverne Public Library.
There's a whole long list. A bunch of them shut
down this week. We can post that full list in
our Instagram stories at one oh seven five. The river
driver services are temporarily unavailable at the kiosks. Just something

(15:07):
to know before he head over to them. We've talked
a bit over the last couple weeks in here about
all those celebrity lookalike contests popping up all over the place.
It all started with that Timothy Shallow May contest in
New York. We just had one here in Nashville this
weekend to find Jacob and Edward from Twilight lookalikes. Usually
the prizes for these things are like five dollars or
something very underwhelming. Not anymore. They just had a Glenn

(15:30):
Powell lookalike contest in Austin, Texas. Glenn's mom was a judge,
and Glenn actually called in he like facetimed in and
said that the member of the winner's family is going
to get to make a cameo in one of his
upcoming movies. How cool is that? No, it turned out
to be a physician's assistant named Maxwell. He won the thing,
and now a member of Maxwell's family will be in

(15:51):
a Glenn Powell movie. Really ups the ante for these
lookalike contests. And I know a lot of us today
will be running to this store to get all the
Thanksgiving dinner items. And some good news. Farm data shows
that Thanksgiving dinner will be historically affordable. Yeah, I know,
adjusting for inflation, it's gonna be the cheapest it's been

(16:11):
in nearly forty years. That's wild. It's estimated that fifty
eight dollars and eight cents of person for a ten
person gathering, that's how much it's gonna cost. That breaks
down to five dollars and eighty one cents a person.
That doesn't totally seem to match the prices I see
when I go to the store now. But I guess
this is nationally so that is something to be thankful for.
I want to mention this though. On the other side

(16:32):
of it, I just read about a steakhouse in New
York that's serving a spoonful of cranberry sauce for one
hundred and ninety five dollars.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
That would be the best cranberry sauce I ever put
in my mouth.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
It's laced with like gold and truffles and other fancy things.
It seems a bit excessive to me. One hundred and
ninety five dollars for one spoonful.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
That is when you know you have too much money.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
Yeah, I think so too. There you go. Three things
you now know.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Ricky zachon Mano. In the morning, it's.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
Thanks it's one oh seven five the river. We have
a list of Thanksgiving hacks, and these are from a caterer.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
One of them is, if you forgot to take your
turkey out yesterday, don't worry. You can use water to
thaw a turkey in hours instead of letting it sit
out for days.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
So just like open air, which is maybe the way
people have been doing it for years and years. Put
it in like a little bath of water. I mean
warm water.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Supposed to happen at hours instead of days. That's just
one of them that we have.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
If you have one to add, you can give us
a call. Six one five, seven, three seven nine, one
oh seven. But Zach's got this full list of hacks
from a caterer. It's gonna help make your Thanksgiving so
much smoother. Run it down next on the River Ricky
is Zach and Manno in the morning on one O
seven five the River stargazing on one O seven five

(17:44):
the River. Zach has a list of hacks Thanksgiving hacks
from a caterer. We're gonna run those down in a second.
But first, Ashley in Green Hills, Hey, that's my neck
of the woods. What's your Thanksgiving hack?

Speaker 2 (17:56):
I like to cook my mass potatoes the night before
because I feel like there's so time consuming that it's
good to get that out of the way before.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
I mean, that's true if you think about it, like
you have to boil the potatoes, then you got to
mash them, then you gotta add everything that's like ours
on just too.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
It's it's a lot of work, granted, I've never made
mashed potatoes from scratch, but ours, it's an it's ours
kind feels like you're a slow masher. Zach.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
No, it seems like you've never made anything from scratch.
You don't have any idea.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
I could probably do it in ten minutes, Ashley. Are
they still Do they still taste fresh the next day?

Speaker 6 (18:29):
Oh? I think so. My kids enjoy them, so I
think it's fine.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
I feel like they might taste better.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
They're like marinating and all of the mixture that you have,
like it's absorbing all of the flavor.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
Than a necache. Just make them tonight, you arinate those
babies all week.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
I don't know about that, Ashley.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
Thank you for your tip, your Thanksgiving hack. You helped
a lot of people here today Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving. Thanks
for listening.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Bite off.

Speaker 4 (18:51):
Zach does have more hacks, Hey, Zach's hacks. These are
from a caterer, Zach hacks. What are they?

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (18:57):
So the list is like kind of like Ashley said,
make your gravy in advance as well, so that because
that takes forever.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Also, I love this hack.

Speaker 3 (19:06):

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
