Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Well, Ill, just after six o'clock here on this Monday morning,
we are back Baby, Ricky, Zach and man O. Good morning,
Happy New Year. All the things Ricky Sanchez has.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
Those three things Harry's styles. He's sparked new album rumors
over the weekend. He dropped a YouTube video called Forever
Forever on Saturday. It shows footage from his final Love
on Tour concert, but at the end of the eight
minute video, there's a text overlay that says, quote we
Belong Together. So Harry's last album came out three years ago,
(00:33):
fans think he's due for another, and they think this
is his way of announcing that he is working on
it and it is coming to us very soon. Obviously,
I'll keep you updated if anything else comes out, specifically
from Harry himself, because nothing is actually legitimate until he
says it's legitimate. But we belong Together. I mean it's
a little fishy. I think it means something's coming, even
(00:54):
if it's not music. End Dot's Christmas tree recycling program
is underway for anyone to getting rid of their real tree.
Speaker 4 (01:02):
I reiterate real tree, not the fake ones. These are
for the real ones.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
There are fourteen drop off sites across Davidson County in
places like Frederick Douglas Park, Cedar Hill Park, and plenty
more options all up on their website. All locations are
going to be operating through Friday, February thirteenth, so you
don't have to get there right away, but you do
have to get there by the thirteenth in order for
them to recycle them.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
The trees have to be.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Bare, so no ornaments or stands or anything like that,
just the tree. And Trader Joe's is now making prebiotic sodas.
It comes in two flavors, cherry Cola and strawberry vanilla.
Big Trader joe shoppers all notice that the cans were
listed online, and then they flooded social media, obviously to
share the news. They're expected to roll out nationwide soon.
(01:48):
Best part is that they're staying affordable, just like anything
from Trader Joe's, and they're just a dollar ninety nine perkin,
which is drastically less than a lot of the other
prebiotic sodas that you find out. There is fun stuff.
I'm Sanchez and those are the three things you need to.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Know, Ricky. Thank you so much. How's it feel to
be back your first three things in a while.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
I almost forgot what my ends tagline was for a second.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
I was like, oh my like, my mind literally went
blank there. Kevin. Yeah, and then my body just took
over and said what I needed to say.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Muscle memory. Yeah, bare way us as we kind of
ease back into this thing. It's been a few weeks
for us, so I'm sure you can relate at your job.
But here we go, Taylor Swift, thank you for that. Ricky,
we do have Demi Levato tickets on the way for
the first caller. You can get those in about ten
minutes right here. Wake up happy with the Ricky, Zach
and Manno in the morning. One pull Kevin right now.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
This is the first first caller of the day, of
the day of the week of.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
The year this year on one oh seven five the River.
Speaker 5 (02:49):
Kevin is so happy at first, and.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
He's so happy that I brought it up.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
I am, I am.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
We have Demi Levato tickets for you. She's gonna be
a bridge Stone Arena on April fourteenth. If you are
the first caller of the day, you're getting them.
Speaker 2 (03:00):

seven nine seven. That is something to be proud of.
We're chatting with your next first caller of the year
right here on the river one.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Ricky, Zach and Minnow in the morning.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Ed Sharon, it's camera. It's one oh seven five the river,
saying good morning on this fifth day of January to
our first caller of the day, the first caller of
the week, the first caller of the year. It's Rick
and Mount Juliet. How you doing, buddy, I'm doing fantastic.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
Are you any way to work right now?
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (03:29):
What do you do?
Speaker 5 (03:30):
Rick?
Speaker 6 (03:31):
I am a private duty home canners.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Rick.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
I feel like we've stuken to you before.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
Sounds familiar.
Speaker 6 (03:37):
Yes, I talked to you last year around April or May.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Okay, the boys sounded familiar. I, you know, Rick sounds familiar.
But also that's my dad's name. So that's why I
was like, maybe I'm just thinking of my dad.
Speaker 7 (03:49):
Rick.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
I got to know really quickly, what's your new Year's resolution.
Speaker 6 (03:53):
I am actually going to run for office in Wilson
County for the eighteenth district for commission.
Speaker 5 (04:00):
Go vote for Rick.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
We know nothing about his politics or his stance on anything.
But he listens to us and he's a good man.
Speaker 4 (04:06):
That's a really big New Year's resolution.
Speaker 6 (04:09):
Though, ye if I figure out, I keep watching the
movies and getting up to that. But you can't make
a difference if you don't actually put for another.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
So true Ray would vote for you. Zach is over
here ready to vote. He can't, but he's ready.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
I will can for you.
Speaker 6 (04:26):
Well, you've got family Mountain Juiette. Tell him the vote
for me. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Hey, Rick, if you're running like political ads on TV
or something, can one of your little soundbites when you
turn to camera be I was the first caller of
the year this year on one. I'm seven five the river.
Speaker 6 (04:39):
If I can, if I can actually get a campaign manager,
I'll have.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Him do that. Thank you.
Speaker 5 (04:44):
It sounds like a good deal to me.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Rick.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
We are very excited for you to pursue your very
big New Year's resolutions.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Mine feels very small right now compared. But I'm really
excited for you.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
We're all really excited for you here every he's acamana
in the morning, and we're even more excited for you
because you're the first caller of the day. You get
tickets to go see Demi Levado at Bridstone Arena on
April fourteenth.
Speaker 6 (05:05):
And you know why it's so great that this happens
because I will be fifty years old on April fourteenth.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Is that your day?
Speaker 6 (05:11):
My fiftieth birthday?
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Oh mayor Rick and a celebrated.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (05:16):
I've been trying, like the last time you gave away
a ticket, because I think that'd be the greatest fiftieth
birthday present ever.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Oh my gosh, well then even more, this is just
honestly the greatest I think first caller of the year
we could have had.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
There's so many things to be excited about.
Speaker 5 (05:29):
The epitome of speak it into fruition is happy right now?
Speaker 7 (05:32):
Yeah, thank you so much.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
I have so much fun, happy very early fiftieth birthday.
In case we don't talk to you, and we look
forward to seeing you, know how your endeavors go this year?
Speaker 6 (05:43):
And I was like, thank you all so much. I
love you and listened to you every morning.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
We love you.
Speaker 6 (05:49):
All right.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
I hope he keeps us a breast as to what's
happening with his political efforts.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
Did you say breast because it felt political of you
to say that, like.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
It was my year's resolution? To say, breath the air, Kevin,
get away from me. On seven five the River, Good morning,
we are here, we are live back this morning. I
do want to take a second. Ricky and Zach have
been gracious enough to give me the floor for a
few minutes to just kind of open up about something.
You know, ninety nine percent of the time we like
(06:18):
to have fun and be goofy around here. But every
once in a while, when real life things happen, we
like to share those.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Well, yeah, we like to share them because we're human too,
and we all like to be there for each other.
Speaker 5 (06:27):
Everybody goes three things.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
We got to talk about it. Love, this family, this
community here. So there is something going on. It just
happened to me, my family personally. So just give me
a second, give me a couple of minutes, and I'll
tell you what's going on. We'll do that next on
the River.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Ricky, Zach and Mannow in the morning.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
We're gonna get a little serious right now. On Ricky,
Zach and Mano in the morning. On one O seven
five the River, Kevin had explained just a few minutes
ago that him and his family went through something during
the holiday break, and he wants to kind of, you know,
talk about.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
It a little bit.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
We're here for each each other, We support each other
and everything, and even though we like to keep things
light and happy and exciting, sometimes things just happen.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
So go ahead, keV, thank you.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Yeah. I just I thought maybe it'd be a little
cathartic to open up and get it off my chest.
But on Friday, our dog, Owen, took a little turn
for the worse. He's been sick for a while. He
had a brain tumor that we were trying to treat,
and honestly, we extended his life. I feel like a year.
We had like an extra year with him. But he
really took a turn on Friday, seemingly out of nowhere,
and we had to rush him off to like the
(07:29):
emergency VET, and we had to ultimately make the decision
to say goodbye to him on Saturday, just this past Saturday.
So it's been a lot. I'm not here to get
all emotional. I mean, everybody goes through things. A lot
of people have been there, but it's just it's a
really you guys around here, I'm kind of known as
the robot. I never cry. We make jokes about that.
All the time. But ooh, boy, have the floodgates open.
(07:49):
It's just it's been tough. We've had him for twelve
and a half years. My kids are nine and seven.
They've never known life without him. We knew this was coming.
We could not have imagined how hard it would be
when it actually did happen. It's been very hard. All
the little things, coming home to an empty house, eating
and he's not right there by your feet making popcorn,
He's not in your face, all these little things. If
(08:10):
you've been there, I know a lot of people have
been there, you know how hard that is. And I
told Ricky and Zach I didn't want to get all
emotional and cry on the radio, but I just wanted
to use the opportunity to just remind everybody just to
enjoy every day and to hug the people that mean
a lot to you, whether that's a pet, or a
family member or a friend. Just to not take anything
for granted. And that's what my wife and I are
(08:32):
trying to, you know, tell our kids right now. And
I just wanted to open up, get it off my chest,
be a little cathartic here on the radio for me,
a little therapeutic. So thank you for listening. Ricky and Zach,
thank you for the opportunity. I know you both knew
Owen my dog and you loved him, and.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
Oh we both he's a good boy.
Speaker 8 (08:49):
I will say, you guys gave him the absolute best
life on the entire planet. So he is so lucky
to have you, guys, and to live with you in
the last twelve and a half year. So yeah, like
that was you guys gave him the best life completely possible,
and he.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Gave us heaven.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
He gave us the best life. It was reciprocal. And
we love him, Owen. If you can hear me, I
know you can. We love you. Thank you for everything,
Thank you for all the years, and everybody again, just
that reminder to uh not take it for granted as
we headed into this new year. Just a nice reminder
for everybody.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
I know, you're gonna make me emotional, get this emotional,
and you're making me feel emotional right now.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
It's been I don't even remember life before him. But
we're gonna we're gonna move on. I know that the
freshness of all of this pain will eventually subside, but
right now it hurts a lot. And I am happy
to be back here with you guys, happy to have
you in my life. So thank you both very much.
I love you, We love you, love you.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
Why does that make me one?
Speaker 5 (09:45):
We love you?
Speaker 7 (09:48):
Really?
Speaker 2 (09:48):
I did not want to make this like a sound pest.
I just wanted to just remind everybody how precious life is.
And that's that's that's what I've done here. So thank
you guys for the opportunity three things. All right, let's
go just after havn' clock on this Monday morning. Thank
you for being here starting your brand new year with us.
Ricky's got those three things.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
SNL has announced who we can expect to host and
perform for their first show of the year.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
Finn Wolfhart, you know, for Stranger Things.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Obviously they're having a big moment right now with the finale,
like the finale of all finales because it's done done now,
so obviously this is a big moment for them, and
he's so he's gonna host asap, Rocky is going to perform. Cool,
So that's what you can expect for the first show
of the year. It's happening in January seventeenth. I'm really
curious to see Finn host. Like, the idea of him
(10:34):
hosting SNL seems like a big feat. It's a big
feet for anybody. But I've never seen him really in
anything other than Stranger Things.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
I'm in Ghostbusters, Okay, yes.
Speaker 4 (10:42):
So I'm like curious to see how he handles this.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
Yeah, Jerry Seinfeld is bringing his comedy tour to First
Bank Amphitheater in Franklin.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
The show is going to happen Friday, May eighth.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
Tickets are already on sale on First Bank Amphitheater's website
if you're interested in going to see him. I love
the idea of a comedy tour at First Bank Game
Theater because if you've been, it's like massive, and it's
in like this huge area that just looks really cool,
and I've just never thought about the idea of doing
a comedy tour there.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
It's always shows that I've seen. So that's happening May eighth.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
And apparently gen Z is now calling Karen's Jessica. We
all know who a Karen is, you know, somebody with
that choppy blonde cut. And he likes to complain about
all these things that they shouldn't even really complain about
because it's not really that big of a deal. But
now Karen's around the world can breathe a little bit
because Jessica's taking your place. Gen Z specifically chose this
(11:35):
name because it's popular with gen X and millennials. So
we have now become the age that gets called Karen's.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
I mean, now we're Jessica's and men, you might.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
Think you're safe, but you're not because if you know this,
I don't know if you do Karen's, the male version
is Ken.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
So now Ken's are David's.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
So Jessica's Andica David's.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
Zachly so excited about this because I cannot wait to
tell my friend.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
I'm Ricky Sanchez and those are the three things you
need to know. Thank you.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Ricky has it a New Year's party with some neighbors
and one of them came to the realization in real
time that she is a Karen or Jessica, because it
came up just organically that like she's like, yeah, I
called the police, and blah blah blah. Were like, you
call the police on this, She's like, yeah, I call
the cops like once every two weeks, so I know
it's not like if somebody's parked weird or something. So
she realized they no longer take you seriously exactly like
(12:31):
what am I, Karen? And yeah, she was a tough
night for her. Thank you, Ricky. Right after Olivia Dean,
we are learning Zach has a fact.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Zach's FAXX next time, Ricky, Zach and mannow in the morning.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
I'm so excited for this. I've been waiting so long.
It feels like for this moment. It's Zach's fax on
one of seven five the River.
Speaker 8 (12:51):
Well, you don't have to wait any longer, because here
I am, honey. Well, Ricky actually sent me this one
and I thought it was so interesting. But apparently October
thirty one of the year two thousands was the last
time that all of humanity was on Earth.
Speaker 5 (13:04):
Since then, there's always been at least one person in space.
Speaker 4 (13:07):
Crazy.
Speaker 8 (13:08):
Really, Halloween, Halloween of the year two thousand, isn't that crazy?
Speaker 2 (13:13):
That is crazy?
Speaker 5 (13:14):
When you get where you're going today, tell somebody this
fun family one.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Ricky, Zach and Meadow in the morning.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
We want to hear your New Year's resolution on one
oh seven five the River, if you have one, we
want to hear about it. Even if it's like unconventional
or strange or feels like it's not this big thing
we want to hear about it.
Speaker 8 (13:35):
Yeah, like I want to learn how to tie my
shoes with my eyes closed.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
That's your new year's resolution.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Yeah, can you genuinely not do that? Can you with
your eyes closed?
Speaker 4 (13:45):
I think I can do that.
Speaker 5 (13:46):
Okay, well that's my new year's resolution.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
I'm not making funny that there's gonna be no shade
nothing here of yours is like, Zach, we want to
hear at six one, five, seven, three, seven, nine, one
oh seven, whatever you were trying to accomplish in twenty
twenty six. Shout it out. Let us know.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
It's the Ricky Zach and meadow in the morning.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
We're talking new Year's resolutions right now. Sandra, our friend
Sandra tell us, you have a new year's resolution, what
is it?
Speaker 9 (14:14):
Sharing my faith with other people? Because I look on
TikTok a lot, and there's a lot of people that
are sad and depressed.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
There are Yeah, No, there's a lot of people, a
lot of us are going through stuff.
Speaker 9 (14:25):
Be nicer to other people, uplift them. It doesn't necessarily
have to be about faith, but just putting a smile
on somebody's face because you never know what another person
is going through.
Speaker 4 (14:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
Sure, Yeah, that's the.
Speaker 9 (14:37):
Kind word to make all the difference in the world.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
Let's go around the room. What's your favorite thing about
Ricky Zachary.
Speaker 7 (14:45):
Oh.
Speaker 9 (14:45):
I love her spirit, I love her voice, I love
her Enthusiasmandra.
Speaker 5 (14:50):
What's your favorite thing about Kevin?
Speaker 9 (14:52):
That he's always positive even when he's said something nice
to say?
Speaker 2 (14:58):
Okay, I'm ready for it. Bring it on.
Speaker 5 (15:00):
What's your favorite thing about it?
Speaker 9 (15:03):
You're my favorite.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
That's all you have to say.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
You want to you?
Speaker 9 (15:10):
Without you, I don't know what I would do.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
That's so kind, so sweet.
Speaker 6 (15:18):
I love you.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Sure, that's what we do here. We all do that
same thing.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
But we know that it's in you know, all in
good fun and we appreciate you so much. Sandra, thank
you for calling in this morning.
Speaker 9 (15:27):
Okay, fine, I love love Sandra.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Zach shared his a moment ago he wants to be
able to tie his shoes with his eyes closed, which.
Speaker 5 (15:38):
Yeah, I haven't had time to practice yet.
Speaker 4 (15:40):
You haven't practiced at all.
Speaker 8 (15:42):
I like to set my bar really low so I
can accomplish something.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
Yeah, I like that. That's a great way to start
the new year.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
Is if you have something that's very low bar and
then you start off on a good note.
Speaker 4 (15:54):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Mine is to scroll less, all of the mindless scrolling
when I scrabbed my phone, scroll for no reason whatsoever,
especially when I'm home with my kids. Why am I
doing that? So yeah, I'm I'm really working on that.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
That's a really good one for you, keV, because you
are addicted to that fall problem. It's a real problem.
I've decided, like I have a bunch of things that
I'm trying to focus on this year as opposed to
like a New Year's resolution, one singular thing, but the
biggest one that I want to focus on that we
could call a resolution, I want to take more chances. Okay,
(16:26):
I've been very reserved as I've gotten older.
Speaker 5 (16:29):
Have you been skydiving?
Speaker 3 (16:31):
I have tried on two accounts, and both times it
didn't work out, And I think that's Universe telling me
that I shouldn't fair. But I want to take more
chances being in my personal life and my professional life,
and I hope that those kind of like turn into fun.
Speaker 4 (16:45):
Stories in the end.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
Yeah, I'm a little more reserved than I used to be,
and I feel like I'm missing.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
Something, turning into just an old lady kind of and
I don't want that. Thiss is not my spirit, you know,
old lady rick young wild, Ricky back in here. I
like that taking chances. That's a good one. If you
want to share one six, one, five, seven, three, seven,
nine seven. Doesn't have to be big. It can be
or it can be very small, like tying your shoes
with your eyes close. Whatever it is, we would love to.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
Hear Ricky Zach and men in the morning.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
On him and Beth Page.
Speaker 7 (17:15):
Do you have one yes to find out if you
guys got my Halloween package? Yeah, yay, Because I'm not
on social media. And I told my daughter to d
M Zach and she's like, that's so embarrassing. Oh my god,
it doesn't air.
Speaker 5 (17:34):
When I tell you that.
Speaker 8 (17:36):
Ricky and I have been like searching for you on
every form of social media and I went there our
entire Like this is probably illegal, but I went through.
Speaker 5 (17:43):
Our entire system looking for your information to call you.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
It's illegal, but sweet.
Speaker 7 (17:47):
I was so excited, and I'm like, oh, they thought
that was pathetic. No, And I'm like I'm I'm an
elderly widow. That's all I could do.
Speaker 9 (17:58):
Yay.
Speaker 7 (17:59):
Well, when I'm at Zach at the Hot Haunted Halloween thing,
and so I was trying to call after that, I
never got through.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
Okay, we're so happy.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
I'm literally smiling your ear to ear right now because
we were truly searching for you.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
It made our day because you listen every day. You know,
I love Halloween.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
And I actually in front of me have the candy
Corn Queen little sign that it's literally right in front
of me at my microphone.
Speaker 7 (18:23):
Yay, I'm gonna mail you more stuff once I get
on saying yeah. And and Zach did try to call
Kevin from the Haunt of Halloween Hey Ride and tell
him I don't like him. I was kidding, He's okay.
Speaker 9 (18:36):
He didn't answer.
Speaker 6 (18:38):
I was sting.
Speaker 7 (18:39):
Anna's like, you're gonna have a heart attack of that.
Guy answered. I said, yes, I was.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Well, No, No, I feel great now that you told me.
I'm okay.
Speaker 7 (18:46):
Yeah, I looked at the fun You're okay. I take

had on the phone with you like six months ago,

the previous call. God.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Man.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
Hey, we were talking about New Year's resolutions a bit ago.
Do you have one? None?
Speaker 4 (20:22):
Dustin said, I'm perfect. I don't need to change. I
just need to win these Bonnero tickets.
Speaker 6 (20:27):
We got you. Man, she's staring me down right.
Speaker 9 (20:29):
Watch in the edition.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Well, you can use her if you want. If you
want to get some help from her with these questions,
feel free. The game is called twenty or twenty six
in honor of twenty twenty six. You got to get
two out of three of them, right. The answer is
either going to be twenty or twenty six. Dustin and Lebanon,
are you ready?
Speaker 6 (20:43):
I'm ready.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
It's game time, baby. That's good to say that too, Dustin.
Question number one for you, how many red cards are
there in a standard deck of cards? Twenty or twenty six?
Twenty six?
Speaker 5 (20:58):
All right, Dustin, Okay, point on the board.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
I think I heard your wife in the background say
totally hurt.
Speaker 6 (21:06):
I was definitely not going to answer them my own.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
If you guys win, she gets to win again, were well, also,
if you lose, she gets to lose.
Speaker 5 (21:15):
So that's all on her.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
Question two is a little question two is a little harder.
Here we go, Dustin, Are you familiar with Michigan the
state of Michigan. No, you've never heard of Michigan. Okay,
I've heard of it. Not familiar. Would you say Michigan
was the twentieth or twenty sixth state to join the
US twentieth or twenty sixth? Probably then no, I'm sorry,
(21:44):
twenty six that's okay. You probably should have let her
answer that one. Buddy, Here we go. Last question. You
get this right, you win, you get it wrong, you don't.
Lebron James became the youngest player to score two thousand
points in an NBA season when he was twenty or
twenty six.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Mercy, Uh, the youngest, So problem, let's go with the
young Let's go with Twin. Do it? God? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (22:16):
Get it?
Speaker 2 (22:17):
Yeah? Congratulations. You guys go to Barroo in June. Teddy Swims, Noah,
con Cash, weird Al's gonna be there. They're all gonna
be out in Manchester and so will.
Speaker 7 (22:25):
You awesome, Thank you guys so much.
Speaker 4 (22:28):
Congratulations.
Speaker 7 (22:29):
Do see a lot of for me in my life?
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Oh love that.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
That is so sweet and I'm happy that we get
to continue to do that with this round, Dustin, and
that you get to be the winner this time.
Speaker 4 (22:41):
What a way to start the new year.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
That's it, man, Thanks for being here, buddy. Congratulations. We're
gonna put you on hold for a minute. Okay, thank you.
Speaker 7 (22:47):
Thanks.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
Three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
Okay, here we go, just after eight o'clock on this
Monday morning, getting back to it, back to real life
for so many of us today, work in school, Here
we are live. Ricky's got those three things.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
Hey, In case you missed it.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
Second Avenue Downtown has officially reopened. It's been five years
since the Christmas Day bombing that injured eight people and
destroyed part of Second Avenue, so this is huge news
now that.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
Area has been fully restored.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
It's open to both pedestrians and cars fully at this point.
All great stuff, so happy to hear it. Obviously, there
was a lot of work to be done on the
outside of buildings, but there's also a lot of internal
stuff that needed to be fixed, which is why it
took so long. They also tried to make it so
that a lot of businesses could continue to function while
they were doing all of these improvements and restoration.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
So really excited about that. All good stuff.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
Dove Cameron and Domiano David from Monaskin are engaged. The
two posted pictures over the weekend of them showing off
the engagement ring. When talking to press earlier last year,
Domiano had raved about his relationship with Dove by saying, quote,
we really understand each other. It's beautiful. It's a blessing.
So congrats to those little cuties. Is a big deal.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
So congrats on their engagement.
Speaker 3 (23:59):
And A new global survey shows that fewer young drinkers
are signing up for month long sober challenges like Dry January.
So in the UK, participation dropped from thirty three percent
to twenty four percent year over year. Australia saw an
even bigger dip, from thirty nine percent to twenty four percent. France,
Italy and Brazil also had declines. The US stayed mostly flat,
(24:21):
though drinking as a whole is still down across the world.
Sober curious is still a huge thing. It just seems
like the trends like dry January are kind of falling off.
It's kind of like you do it or you don't,
is where it seems like it's going. All three of
us are doing dry January, right.
Speaker 6 (24:35):
Yeah, we are.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
I'm doing it for the first time ever and so.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
Far talking about it and it's it can be tough,
but yeah, so far, so good for all three of us.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
Zach and I have tried it before. I pretty much
succeeded last year. I had twelve hours to go and
I had a drink.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
You were so close.
Speaker 4 (24:50):
I feel like I succeed it.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
Okay, this year, I'm going the whole way through Amrie
Sanchez and those are the three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
Thank you very much, Ricky. I gotta be I mean,
just to be on us for a second, like I've
This is the fifth day of the year. This is
my longest streak in years without drinking. So I'm proud
of myself. Good John, thank you, thank you, thank you.
It feels good. I'm happy to be doing.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
Ricky, Zach and Manow in the morning.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning on one O
seven five the River. We were texting yesterday Ricky Zach
and myself, and Zach was like, I'd like to talk
on the radio about the best Christmas present, nice and positive,
nice and happy, the best Christmas presents you got? This
is this holiday season. Ricky was like, I want to
talk about the worst present you ever got, in classic
Ricky fashion. So if that's what we're doing, well, this
is the thing.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
Okay. I'm sure you all got amazing Christmas gifts and
I'm really happy for you. I got some really good
ones myself, but the worst ones are the ones that'll
make you giggle. Yeah, And that's really what it comes
down to. Because my dad gave me something this year
for Christmas that I was like, I don't understand why
this is the thing.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
Was it?
Speaker 3 (25:55):
Am I stocking? Am I stocking? I was like getting
excited right because.
Speaker 4 (25:58):
I'm pulling things out.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
I'm like, oh, oh nice, like bath bomb, very cute.
Bath bomb has cash in it, which.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
I've never heard of. Yeah, I pulled out.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Hold on, let's stop on that for one second. Does
the cash come out in the bath Like?
Speaker 4 (26:10):
Yes, like you put the bath bomb?
Speaker 5 (26:13):
Is it real money?
Speaker 3 (26:14):
It's real money, but it's like covered in something I
haven't actually used it.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
Yet, but it's up to twenty dollars in there.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
Oh that's exciting, I know.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
So I was like, okay, cool, I'll take that. I
then pulled out a Sabrina Carpenter's cents.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
He got me two different Sabrina Carpenter sense. I was like,
all right, Dad, like look at you go.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
And then I pull out this rectangular item that's in
like very just flimsy plastic, and I had to read
what it was. He got me those ponchos for emergencies
that are like heat.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Containers, interesting to keep you warm.
Speaker 4 (26:51):
And I was like.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
Why and he was like, you know, just in case
he gets stranded one day in your car or something like,
you can use this.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
It keeps you warm. It's good shot one.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
And I was like, okay, Dad, I don't know why
it's Christmas gift.
Speaker 5 (27:04):
Though I actually think it's a really cool gift.
Speaker 8 (27:07):
I don't think that's a bad gift because, like, think
about what if your car does break down or typical Ricky,
you run out of gas on the side of the
road and then you're just stuck there in the cold.
Speaker 5 (27:17):
You'll have a warm poncho. This is a good idea.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
It didn't need to be a Christmas gift.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
Yeah, it's a good thing to have, but it did
not need to find its way into the stocking.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
I was just elated, right because I'm like, wow, dad
did good this year.
Speaker 4 (27:31):
And then I pulled that out. I'm like, what in
the world is this?
Speaker 5 (27:35):
I kind of want one, but he gave it to us.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
All That's what my father in law does. Ali's dad
will get the kid's presence and he'll just like go
to like the Dollar General and be like, just look
at whatever he sees, like a slinky, a candle with
Jesus on it, Like you, just whatever he sees is
going in that stock.
Speaker 4 (27:50):
He literally would.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
It felt like I don't even know that he necessarily
bought it as a Christmas He may have just had.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
It lying around and went this stock. Why in the
world such a dad move.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Elly and I Wie don't really give each other presents,
but this year I gave her a spoon, and I
thought that was kind of a like a.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
Spoon for something specific, a little spoon.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
I was nervous about the reaction to the spoon. She
recently said she was she makes this like German pasta.
She makes it at home, with the kids, and she
was like, man, I really wish I had a strainer spoon,
like a big straining spoon. And she said that like
two weeks before Christmas. So that's what I got her.
That was my gift to her this year. And she excited.
She was very excited. Yeah, I was a little nervous,
but she was excited, so that was a good thing.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
At least she liked it.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
Zach, though, I think you you come out with the
worst gift as well, but gift giving, not receiving.
Speaker 6 (28:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (28:41):
I thought it was really cute because I walked into
Old Navy and they had like their clothes fifty percent off.
Speaker 5 (28:46):
So I thought about my nephew.
Speaker 8 (28:47):
He's four years old, and they had all of their
joggers on sale, and I was like, ooh, I'm gonna
buy some for him so he looks just like me,
because I'm known for wearing.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
Joggers all the time at leisure.
Speaker 8 (28:57):
Yeah, so I was like, so he can look just
like me. I thought it would be so cute. He
opened it and goes, oh, cool.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
How did you explain to him that now you guys
can be twins?
Speaker 8 (29:08):
He did not want to hear it, and I'm talking
about it, and he said okay and then went back
to playing with this cars.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
Well, the funny part is that kids hate clothes, right,
But your dad, as I've just proven, will give you
something random for Christmas, no matter how old you are.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
Yep ma, So just get used to it, kids, And Ricky,
you're right, it is more fun to talk about the
bad guests.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
Ricky is Zach and Mano in the morning.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
I'm gonna go ahead and say it.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
Jack Black and Paul Rudd have the best best friendship
that ever existed, and the Daily double Tap on one
of seven five of the River kind of.
Speaker 5 (29:40):
Proves that it's they're really adorable together.
Speaker 4 (29:43):
Two of them are on press Store right now for Anaconda.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
They're like remake of Anaconda that they did and this
one video. A bunch of them are going pretty viral
of their moments during the press stur but this one
went very viral mainly just because it's Jack Black being
so Jack Black.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
That's a good way to put it here. In today's
Daily Double Tap, what was Nickelback's biggest hit Silence? Sorry,
no one wants to I saw the doctor guys getting there.
This is how you're.
Speaker 6 (30:13):
Mind me of.
Speaker 5 (30:16):
You, So I think amazingly I got every lyric right.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
It's pretty good, just im prompt you like that off
the cuff.
Speaker 3 (30:24):
There's so much more to that that you absolutely need
to it here if you haven't seen this video yet,
because he doesn't say any of the actual lyrics, it's
just noises.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
The whole thing is noises. But ironically he still got
every lyric right.
Speaker 5 (30:39):
Yeah, of course he did.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
We're gonna put the video. Uh and again, Yeah, I
haven't seen the movie. I haven't heard great things about it,
so I don't want to speak negatively of it, but
I have not.
Speaker 4 (30:48):
You also didn't have to bring that car.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
I just think the press tours is probably the most
entertaining thing about it. We're gonna post in our Instagram
stories the videos going up at one o seven five
The River on Instagram
Speaker 1 (31:00):
Pike You, Zach and Manno in the morning on one
oh seven five The River
