Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
All right, here we go, six o'clock on the dot
on this Monday morning. Thank you for starting your week
with us. Ricky Sanchez has those three things.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
Sovereignty took home the crown at the one hundred and
fifty first Kentucky Derby. They outdueled three to one favorite Journalism.
This is just my petition real quick before I finished
the story to change the names of these horses.
Speaker 4 (00:21):
We need them.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
I don't we need better names for these horses, Sovereignty
and Journalism what It was a close call, as it
took a few minutes to actually solidify the winner with
a picture of the finish line. For the second consecutive year,
the Kentucky Derby had a five million dollar purse paid
out to the top five horses in the field, so
first place Sovereignty walked away with three point one million,
(00:43):
the biggest amount of the purse. Second place went to Journalism,
who got one million, and so on and so forth.
Speaker 5 (00:49):
Like I said, better names.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Molly Maids is giving moms a chance to win free
house cleaning for Mother's Day.
Speaker 5 (00:56):
I love this because we all know that moms.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Just want a second form and that includes a nice
clean house that they didn't have.
Speaker 5 (01:03):
To do, so they're very popular.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Clean Home Giveaway gives five lucky moms a chance to
win five hundred dollars toward a professional house cleaning service.
The contest is open through May eleventh, so you only
got a few more days to enter. It's really easy
to do, so you just go to their website and
you submit your name. That's all you gotta do to
be in the running to win. Also, going to put
this out there not a bad idea to get a
(01:25):
gift card. If you don't know what to get mom
for Mother's Day, buy your gift card for this, because,
like I said, all moms want to do is kind
of relax on Mother's Day. That's all anybody's been saying.
So this is a great idea. And a Maryville fourteen
year old golfer is close to qualifying for the US Open.
Raymond Rebel, he tied for He's gonna tie for the
(01:48):
first or the second youngest person to compete in the
US Open if he makes it to the tourment fourteen
years old. Yeah, so he'll tie for the youngest person
to make it.
Speaker 5 (01:58):
He's been competing and winning again. Players who double his age,
which is wild to think about.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
He needs to win his next qualifier, which will come
mid May early June kind of time frame, and if
he wins that, he's going so fingers crossed for this kid.
Speaker 5 (02:13):
Obviously a huge deal.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
Congrat said he's gotten this far, because that is quite
the feat.
Speaker 5 (02:18):
I'm Ricky Santez and those are the three things you
need to know.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
Thank you, Ricky.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
And I just want to go back and point out
that both of our horses lost. I know, we pick
horses on the air on Friday, and I gotta say
my guy was like owing the Great or something because
my dog's name is Ohen. He had the worst odds
and he came in fifth. We were going crazy what
he was winning at one point and he had the
worst odds. He was supposed to come and last, and
he was at one point he.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Was in first.
Speaker 5 (02:40):
He did a win.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
Well he's still I mean, he defied the odds, cave
and fishing. I'm proud of him.
Speaker 5 (02:44):
He did to make three point one million dollars.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
Like STOPTI t he did next time, next time. Thank
you for that, Ricky.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Here's gg Perez getting back into the music. Hey, we
have Rob Thomas tickets all week for the first caller.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
You win those in about fifteen minutes.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Right here on the river, Ricky second MANO in the morning,
Brina in Nashville, Good morning, it's one of seven five
the river.
Speaker 5 (03:03):
How's your Monday going so far? Rainy?
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Rainy?
Speaker 6 (03:06):
Is it raining out?
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:08):
Where are you? Specifically? What street I'm on?
Speaker 6 (03:12):
Oh? Okay?
Speaker 5 (03:13):
Also that was so dramatic. Specifically what street are you on?
Speaker 4 (03:18):
We have a real time weather report.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Here, we do, I mean Sabrina's driving around. We've also
been in the studio for at least the last I
don't know, forty five minutes minimum.
Speaker 5 (03:27):
So yeah, of course it can start raining if.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
There's a window ry. I'm looking out the window and
I don't see any rain.
Speaker 7 (03:33):
Kevin, open your eyes, bro Anyway, Sabrina, please be careful,
keep your hands at ten and two. Drive slowly because
people cannot drive in the rain. I know that's the fact.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Yeah, how far do you have to go this morning?
Speaker 5 (03:45):
Sabrina usually got twenty five minutes?
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Okayko bad, Maybe a little longer today. How was your weekend?
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Awesome?
Speaker 8 (03:51):
Tiring travel for work, so I didn't get back in
one ing Saturday, morning.
Speaker 6 (03:56):
Where did you go for work? Waco? Did you see
the chip? And Joanna Gaines?
Speaker 8 (04:04):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (04:04):
I actually.
Speaker 9 (04:06):
Wait stop it. I'm so jealous.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
It's pretty cool.
Speaker 10 (04:10):
Is it.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
Do they have like a bakery? Is that what you
went to?
Speaker 1 (04:12):
No, it's just.
Speaker 5 (04:15):
And a story.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
Yeah, okay, I was half right.
Speaker 6 (04:17):
I want to go shopping.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
I just think this is hilarious that poor Sabrina is like,
I'm tired, and you guys decided, Oh, I'm just going
to ask a million questions for the small talk.
Speaker 9 (04:27):
But I'm just saying, that's right.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
This poor woman, poor woman starts off with like I'm tired,
and everyone just starts bare. Sabrina, thank you for dealing
with the small talk and all of the questions. You
are the first color of the day on one I
was seven five of the River. You gutting tickets to
see Rob Thomas from Matchbox twenty out of Sandy Appetator
on August fifth.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
Awesome.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
Thank you very much.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
You love very much.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
And like Zach said, drive safe. We'll put you on
hold here so we can get all your information. We'll
let you go so you can focus on your driving duties.
But thank you for starting your day with us.
Speaker 10 (04:58):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (04:59):
I feel like Chip and join a really Uh.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Right back to this revolutionized Waco they did.
Speaker 6 (05:04):
I did like we should go to Waco.
Speaker 7 (05:06):
You can go to the little pastry shop and I'm
going to go shopping.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
Great.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
I feel like you guys are giving way too much
credit to Joanna Gates.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
They are national treasures. They are and I are all
standing for your blasphemy.
Speaker 5 (05:18):
You're insane, both of you.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
More Rob Thomas think at the same time.
Speaker 10 (05:21):
Tomorrow one O seven five, Ricky, Zach and.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
The River Happy, Yay Yay. There's a lot going on
in Nashville, as you would imagine. The Cinco de Mayo. Unfortunately,
you know, falls on a Monday, but that's not going
to stop a lot of us from getting out there
and enjoying participating.
Speaker 10 (05:40):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
And Zach has a full list a rundown of all
the cool things happening around the city.
Speaker 6 (05:45):
Yeah, there's a lot of fun things.
Speaker 7 (05:46):
The first one I want to talk about is the
Cinco de Mayo block party that's happening at Poncho and Lefties.
It is from noon until tenth If you want to
start early, this one suns at noon, My.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
Crazy are there a few different Pancho and Lefties or yeah.
Speaker 7 (05:59):
There's two of them. There's one in Melrose in Silver
and Park Park. So this event, they're gonna have local vendors,
they're gonna have new It's not that early.
Speaker 6 (06:07):
If you're in the middle of a work Margarita.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
To the Mile, you better get ready early.
Speaker 7 (06:12):
Fine, but at Poncho and Lefties both locations, they're gonna
have vendors, giveaways, delicious tacos. Margarita's a mission is free
and this one all ages are welcome, so you can
bring the kiddos, have them enjoy some tacos as well.
We also love Plaza Mariachi, so they're hosting a Sinco
to Mile celebration from noon to eleven today, so you
(06:33):
can go and celebrate the vibrant celebration of Mexican culture
featuring authentic Mexican entertainment, really good food, different tequilas, and
Margarita's and the admission is free for that one as well.
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in downtown Nashville is
santan Jeho and so they actually started. They did this
all week and long, so tonight is the last night
(06:54):
of it, but they have live DJs. So they're gonna
have a live DJ tonight nine dollars. Margarita's gonna have
a photo booth. Admission is free and open to all
ages as well as San Najeho.
Speaker 6 (07:04):
And their food is so good.
Speaker 5 (07:06):
I know. Nine dollars is supposed to be like a
steal for margarita.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
Guy the same thought.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
It should be less than nine dollars, three dollars, like
a good margarita.
Speaker 5 (07:15):
It should not be more more than six six dollars.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
Nine is the nine is their deal.
Speaker 5 (07:20):
That's their deal, Like that's crazy.
Speaker 7 (07:22):
They are pretty expensive to even start with, so nine
dollars is still a pretty good deal, right all Right?
This one, I like the names of it, Marks and Mayhem.
This just sounds like Ricky Sanchez.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
Which one is? Mars is Mayhem?
Speaker 5 (07:39):
Which one do you think?
Speaker 4 (07:40):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (07:41):
I got it Marks, So Marks and Mayhem is a
sinko to my own bar crawl with Hoppers. It's like
the ultimate FIESA bar crawl through the Nashville's hottest bars.
Speaker 6 (07:51):
Starts at Bakersfield. I Love bakers Field. Tickets are still.
Speaker 7 (07:55):
Available right now through event right, so it's gonna take
you through all of the best bars in Nashville. It
starts at Bakersfield. They have some of the best tacos
in Nashville.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
Now I want Bakersfield.
Speaker 6 (08:04):
I know they're so good.
Speaker 5 (08:05):
My mouth is watering.
Speaker 6 (08:07):
Kevin, what are your plans.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
For scle to my own to go to my son's
baseball game at six forty five? That kind of puts
a damper on my day drinking plays.
Speaker 5 (08:16):
What a great celebration.
Speaker 7 (08:17):
Yeah, like every other parent in Green hails and just
put tequila in your cup.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
You're not wrong, You're not wrong.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
I always wonder when I'm at these events if like
my parents, you see that when I was a kid,
I don't know they did.
Speaker 5 (08:30):
They just didn't talk about it.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Well, thank you for that rundown there. Yes, Marg's appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Right just after seven o'clock, Ricky Sanzoz has those three things.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Lady Gaga had quite the concert over the weekend. Uh
She performed in Rio de Janeiro, and she broke the
record for the highest attended concert by a female artist
in history, which was previously held by Madonna.
Speaker 5 (08:57):
There was an estimated two million fans.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Some people are saying two point one million it's a
lot of people that were there. This is the unfortunate
part though, So this is where there's a little bit
more to this. There was apparently a bomb threat at
this concert. A wret for Lady Gaga told TMZ that
the whole team only learned about it from news reports
the next day. They didn't hear anything from police or
(09:20):
other authorities regarding potential risks during or prior to the show,
so it wasn't like she was given the opportunity to
call it or anything like that. According to the State Police,
two people reportedly part of a radicalized group that promotes
hate speech towards the LGBTQ plus community were arrested on
Sunday in connection with the alleged plan. So they did
arrest the people that they believe are part of it.
Speaker 5 (09:43):
But she had no idea that this was happening. Obviously,
everything worked out.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
We're lucky that nobody got hurt and everything is okay,
but kind of crazy to think about. Congrats to her though,
for the highest attended concert, because that's huge. The entertainment
venue coming to Nashville Yards just got a new name.
It was originally announced as Evo Entertainment Or Evo Entertainment,
but they're switching that up. This is going to be
a forty eight thousand square foot space that's opening this fall.
Speaker 5 (10:10):
It's going to be called Hooky Nashville Yards.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
Okay, do you think it's hooky or hooky? I couldn't.
Speaker 9 (10:15):
I thought it was hooky hooky.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
H how do you spell hooky like you're playing hooky
from school?
Speaker 5 (10:20):
I guess that is how you spell hooky.
Speaker 4 (10:22):
I don't know hooky or hooky. I'm not sure. I
had this question in my head around now.
Speaker 5 (10:26):
I don't know. Now you've tripped me out. I don't
actually know.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
Maybe I'm saying it incorrectly. It's got a new name though, guys.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
That's the point here.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
There's gonna be twelve dining in theaters, bowling restaurant, all
sorts of stuff.
Speaker 5 (10:37):
But yeah, it's either.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Hooky because now I just don't know. And I absolutely
hate this story because I am a band tea lover.
But due to tariffs, your favorite artist tour merch is
going to be even more expensive. Tariffs are going to
have a huge impact on music merchandise companies. A lot
of the merch that they make is in Asia or
Central America projected price increase includes the average standard T
(11:03):
shirt rising from thirty or forty dollars to sixty five dollars.
Come on, and hoodies are going to jump to one
hundred and fifty. Average posters are going to go from
ten to fifteen dollars. Simple stickers, which you know you
could typically buy for like a dollar, is going to
go between three dollars and ten dollars.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
This is crazy.
Speaker 5 (11:25):
I hate it.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
I hate it so much. Not much we could do
about it, though. I'm rick Sanchez, and those are the
three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Thank you, Ricky, appreciate it, and appreciate you. Starting your
Monday with U. Zach was out for the last few
days of last week. But he's back and he's got
a fact. Right after Gracie Abrams, we are learning Zack's
fax next down the river.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
One oh seven five the river.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
Heiky Zach and Mano in the morning.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Zach's back and he's ready for a fact. It's one
of seven five the river.
Speaker 7 (11:52):
So the Kentucky Derby was yesterday, and did you guys
know that every single horse on the field it was
a descendant of the legendary Secondariot Wild really.
Speaker 4 (12:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (12:02):
So Secretariat was a horse that actually holds the fastest
time in the Kentucky Derby history for a mile and
a quarter and so every single one that was there
as a descendant of this legendary horse.
Speaker 5 (12:13):
How does that horse have a movie after it?
Speaker 4 (12:15):
Secretariat?
Speaker 10 (12:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (12:16):
I know that Seabiscuit does.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
No Secretariat was a movie?
Speaker 4 (12:19):
What was it called?
Speaker 5 (12:20):
Secretary?
Speaker 6 (12:22):
Now we got two facts in one. There's your facts
of the.
Speaker 10 (12:28):
Day, Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
There's lots of sports drama going on, but it's it's
lended to a question that I have when your friend
is in a toxic relationship, how do you tell them?
Because there's all this stuff going on with Bill Belichick
and his relationship with as much younger girlfriend Jordan, especially
after the CBS interview that they just did. So in
(12:54):
case you don't know, I'm gonna get you up to
date with this. Bill Belichick is dating this woman who
is like forty years younger than him.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
Okay, we're not judging, No, we're not judging. We're not judging.
Speaker 5 (13:04):
I'm judging a little bit.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
But he's seeing this woman who's like forty years younger
than him and she's now part of his entire business
venture as a person like she is heavily involved in
everything that he does. He just did a CBS interview
where she interrupted the interview multiple times to kind of
redirect questions that she didn't like. One of the times
(13:27):
that she interrupted ended up making the actual full interview, and.
Speaker 5 (13:31):
Obviously everybody's talking about it now.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
So like this seems like it can be a very
toxic relationship that's happening right now.
Speaker 5 (13:37):
How do you tell a friend though, that they're in
a toxic relationship.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
It's tough, but I'm sure people have advice. They've been there,
I hope.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
So I mean, I think we give advice for our
friend Bill Bilichick. Yeah, let's make sure that he gets
pretty easy.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
Six one, five, seven, three seven nine one oh seven.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
If you've had that friend in a toxic relationship, we
invite you to call and speak directly to Bill Bell.
Speaker 5 (14:01):
He needs help.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning, there's.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Lots of sports trauma going on with Bill Belichick and
his very very much younger girlfriend Jordan.
Speaker 10 (14:12):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
That's not what we're discussing though, the relationship in that
rect age. It's the fact that it seems like she's
meddling in a lot of his actual personal business. Sandra
and Nashville, how would you tell your friend that they're
in a toxic relationship?
Speaker 8 (14:27):
Well, first of all, I think Bill Belichick, it's just whipped.
Speaker 4 (14:30):
Oh whipped.
Speaker 5 (14:32):
Okay, Yeah, I wouldn't tell her that she was doing
something wrong.
Speaker 8 (14:36):
I would tell her that I care about her and
I worry for her safety.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
Okay, Well, but I would remind her that no matter
what happens, I'm here for her for.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
Him, that's nice. I mean, I think that's the whole question.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
That was, like, you need to approach us with such
a level of tex so you don't just push them away.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Well not only that, but you have to let them
know that you care about them and it's not about chugging.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Them telling them what to do.
Speaker 5 (15:01):
Yeah, yeah, for sure, letting them know that they do
have an outlet if it gets really bad.
Speaker 7 (15:07):
Sandra, I'm not gonna lie. You call a lot And
I'm genuinely shocked that you said that. I was expecting
you to say, rip the band aid off and just
ruin their relationship.
Speaker 5 (15:15):
Well no, because that could make them, That could make
you lose the friends you know, they could.
Speaker 8 (15:20):
They could end up shutting down on you.
Speaker 5 (15:22):
You don't want that.
Speaker 8 (15:22):
You want them to know that that you are there
for them, because if it gets really bad, it's nice
to know that there's somebody dead. It's not gonna judge.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
I'm not gonna tell you what to do.
Speaker 4 (15:31):
Sure, Yeah, okay, that's good advice. Thank you, Sandra. We
appreciate you.
Speaker 5 (15:35):
Welcome, Love you guys, Love you have a great day.
Speaker 3 (15:38):
I once ended up having a friend that like didn't
speak to me after telling her that she was in
a toxic relationship that was not fun.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
Did that ever come back? Did you ever get this
friend back?
Speaker 5 (15:47):
Years later? Like five years later?
Speaker 8 (15:50):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (15:50):
And then I had another friend who I had to
tell was being toxic in a relationship.
Speaker 5 (15:54):
Haven't spoken to that friend since?
Speaker 4 (15:57):
You regret it?
Speaker 8 (15:57):
Or no?
Speaker 1 (15:58):
No?
Speaker 3 (15:58):
Because I I had a very and you an honest
conversation with them about how like, I didn't think that
that was right and that wasn't the right way to
handle a certain situation.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
And they didn't want to speak to me anymore. And
that's fine.
Speaker 6 (16:09):
So you got to be willing to lose your friend.
That's scary.
Speaker 10 (16:12):
One oh seven five The River, Reicky, Zach and Meno
in the Morning, Turkey, Zac and Mano and one oh
seven five the River were But like Kevin Mano's Game
of the Day, it's a secret show.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
It has not been announced yet. It's gonna be a
big one though.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
And it's supposed to be announced a little later this morning.
We just can't say what it is yet. But hopefully
this time tomorrow we can tell you what you're playing for.
But right now, it's a great ticket. That's all you
need to know.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
Six one, five, seven, three seven nine, one oh seven.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
We're gonna play topical trivia this week. Questions rip from
the headlines, and he.
Speaker 5 (16:40):
Said, these are a little tough, little hard I feel
like they are.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
I don't know why. On a Monday morning, I asked,
trying to put some questions.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
Let's prove Kevin wrong.
Speaker 6 (16:47):
Everyone.
Speaker 4 (16:47):
Let's see how you do. You need two out of
three of them, and the tickets are yours.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
This mystery show you want to play, Let's go one
oh seven five the River, Heiky the.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Zach and Mano in the Morning, one oh seven five
the River.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
Kevin Mano's Game of the Day said it by Genesis Diamonds.
Speaker 5 (17:01):
We're playing for a secret show.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
We can't tell you what it is yet because it
has not been announced, but that means that you're gonna
get tickets to this show before anybody else does.
Speaker 5 (17:10):
And it's a good one.
Speaker 4 (17:11):
That's right. The first pair of tickets. Good morning, Taylor,
How you doing?
Speaker 8 (17:14):
Good morning guys.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
How you doing?
Speaker 8 (17:16):
Happy Monday?
Speaker 4 (17:16):
Happy Monday, Buddy, Taylor in Nashville.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
You're playing topical trivia, so it's questions based on current events.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
If you get two out of three of them, these
mystery tickets are yours.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
All right, let's do it, all right, Boddy, Your.
Speaker 4 (17:29):
Game starts right now. Taylor.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
What Rock Band played classic songs like Enter, Sandman, Ride,
the Lightning, and The Unforgiven at Nissan Stadium over the weekend.
Speaker 5 (17:47):
Yeah, I'm real disappointed, Taylor.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
I know.
Speaker 4 (17:50):
Second, it's the morning fog.
Speaker 5 (17:54):
I get it.
Speaker 8 (17:55):
I get it.
Speaker 5 (17:55):
We'll let it slide.
Speaker 8 (17:56):
Sure.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
Yeah, your brain's not really you know, firing on all
cylinders on a Monday.
Speaker 6 (18:00):
Uh, you get this?
Speaker 4 (18:01):
You in and again I said these questions are gonna
be tougher. I could be wrong.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Sabrina Carpenter and Benson Boone both appeared on What TV
show over the weekend.
Speaker 8 (18:13):
Oh I might get this Saturday Night Live. Yeah, this massive,
massive guests there on that last one.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
Wow, wow wow. Congratulations, that's awesome.
Speaker 8 (18:24):
Thank you guys. Stay wait to find out what the
secret show is.
Speaker 5 (18:27):
You're gonna have a great time. It's gonna be a
big one.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
I hate when we have to do secrets like this
because obviously we'd love to tell.
Speaker 5 (18:33):
You, but it is a huge one. You're gonna have
so much fun. Congratulations, Taylor, I love it.
Speaker 8 (18:38):
Thank you guys so much. Hope you have a great day.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
Three things you.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Need to know, all right?
Speaker 2 (18:43):
You would go just after eight o'clock on this Monday morning, Rick,
he has got those three things.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
Immigrant rights groups have reported ICE activity in Nashville. Tennessee
Highway Patrol troopers conducted roughly one hundred and fifty traffic
stops in Nashville this weekend during a quote public safety
operation with federal authorities. Metro National Police Department said that
it didn't play a role in any of this and
it wouldn't be involved in any type of immigration enforcement.
(19:07):
There was no information given to who was detained, and
family members have not been contacted. I personally have talked
about this on the show before. If you have a
last name like I do, Sanchez, think of a plan.
Have a plan in place for a situation like this.
Whether you are here legally or not, just have a
(19:27):
plan in place for something like this. This happened in
South Nashville. It's not gonna stop, so just be prepared.
Whatever you decide is the right plan for you.
Speaker 5 (19:36):
And your family.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
Benson Boone has just announced a new tour gonna He's
gonna have a stop in Nashville. It's gonna be a
big one, obviously, his American Heart Tour. It's gonna kick
off in Minnesota on August twenty second. They're going to
perform in Nashville, him and his band on September ninth.
No word on where he just yet. He didn't make
the announcement of where it's gonna happen here. It's definitely
not gonna be a send this time. Before that, it
(20:01):
was a river on the rooftop where he was an opener.
And obviously he's grown into a huge sensation. So I'm
assuming bridge Stone. I have no idea just yet, but
according to his announcement, tickets go on sale at ten
am on Friday, but you can sign up for early
ones on his website and door Dash has crowned the
margarita the drink of the summer. The sprits has been
(20:25):
very popular in the last few years and typically becomes
the drink of the summer.
Speaker 5 (20:28):
So this is a new one for us.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Tequila and lime sales are booming right now, and watermelon
margarita's are trending really hard.
Speaker 5 (20:34):
Okay, so that's the.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
Big fave, is the watermelon Onesy Sanchez and those are.
Speaker 5 (20:38):
The three things you need to know. Ricky zachon Mano
in the Morning.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
River, we want your travel hacks. It's one oh seven
five the River. Maybe like lesser known travel hacks. Ricky
did a story last week that I have not stopped
thinking about.
Speaker 5 (20:53):
It really bothered you.
Speaker 4 (20:54):
Huh, yes, somebody like in the hotel industry maybe put
this out.
Speaker 5 (20:58):
There instead of light attendant.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
Contendent said that you should take your toothbrush and you
should put it inside the safe in your uh little room,
because people who are cleaning your room may use it
to clean the.
Speaker 6 (21:11):
Bathroom that is foul.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
The scrub with your tooth She said that they've heard
really terrible stories.
Speaker 5 (21:18):
Who knows if it's true or not. But she said
to hide your toothbrush.
Speaker 4 (21:21):
So that's a good travel hack.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Hide your toothbrush if you have one six, one, five, seven, three, seven, nine,
one and seven. I've got a few really good ones
as well that I think would help people out.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
But we want to hear yours.
Speaker 10 (21:31):
One O seven five Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning,
Mike in Nashville, tell us your travel hack.
Speaker 8 (21:37):
H Well, I mean it's really my grandmother's.
Speaker 5 (21:39):
Okay, even better.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
I love Grandma.
Speaker 5 (21:41):
They're always very wise.
Speaker 8 (21:44):
She travels a lot, and I always wonder why she
always had a bag of bars to soap. Oh, and
she would stick them under the mattress in the hotel room.
And I was like, why she's like bedbugs, oh, sod
bugs away. Apparently really actually looked it up, but I
do it now just because I feel.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
Like we should look it up.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
I mean, there are a lot of old wives tales
out there, and you know grandma's can.
Speaker 5 (22:08):
Trust your grandma. I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
But the Internet didn't exist probably when she started doing this,
so now we can easily fact check it.
Speaker 8 (22:15):
I keep bars the soap in my back now and
I put them under the mattress every time, which I
think hotel people probably think it's weird when they go
to change sheets and there's far soap everywhere.
Speaker 7 (22:25):
I looked it up and it says if they are
specific sense like cedar or peppermint may deter bed.
Speaker 6 (22:30):
Bub Ye.
Speaker 8 (22:32):
Is the one that she carries.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
Okay, we're the good hack, yep.
Speaker 8 (22:37):
And I don't do both, so it works out for me.
Speaker 5 (22:40):
Thank you for calling Mike. You just changed our lives.
Speaker 4 (22:42):
Ah, thanks buddy, you too.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
Now I have compiled a few travel hacks, and Ricky
and Zach are probably the toughest audience I can imagine.
So tell me if you guys, uh sign of the okay?
First off, simple one, just air tags in your check
check lineage yep, okay, pretty smart.
Speaker 8 (23:01):
I do that.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
If your flight is delayed or canceled you're sitting at
the airport, call customer service or use the airlines app
while you wait in line, waiting in a line with
everybody else, It's gonna move a lot faster if you
just call, it might be able to rebook you rather
than waiting in that long line.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
So call.
Speaker 7 (23:16):
Okay, I hate that, but sure, I feel like I
would have one person in line and one person on
the phone.
Speaker 6 (23:22):
Okay, I'm traveling with David.
Speaker 5 (23:23):
Oh, that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
When you land, when you get somewhere, maybe take the
free airport shuttle to a hotel and then uber from
there to avoid surge pricing.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
As small guys.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
They like that one.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Okay, if you're gonna eat a meal at the airport,
maybe you're with a larger group, look into like a
day pass at one of the airline lounges, because that
might be cheaper because they have free food and drinks.
Speaker 7 (23:44):
Legitimately, they are cheaper because it's like forty nine dollars
or ninety nine dollars for a day pass, and I'm like,
I'm gonna spend way more than that at the bar.
Speaker 5 (23:52):
You could. How much are you drinking before the flight?
Speaker 6 (23:55):
Hamburgers twenty nine dollars.
Speaker 5 (23:57):
I'm just saying, if a Hamburger is twenty nine dollars
or your drink is twenty.
Speaker 6 (24:01):
That's forty nine times two people.
Speaker 4 (24:03):
But I do think some of these day undred dollars
it might not be. It might be like sixty bucks
to get it. Who knows, Just look into it. It's
what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (24:09):
Okay, I mean, I don't know if it's worth it.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
This one comes from a place of annoyance.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
But you know you can start empty in your pockets
and stuff before you get up to that TSA. You
don't have to wait till the last second to get
all your stuff out.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
You's actually something I agree with you on. And I
know there's just because you're impatient that you believe that Heavin.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
Oh my lord, yes, let's not by now, just a
couple about like your actual trip itself. You guys might
not agree with this one, but when you have little kids,
bring like a chip clip for something to keep the
curtain shut so you're not in in the morning when
the sun comes up, it doesn't just come flooding into
the room. I'm not a kid, but I want to
do that, keep them shut. And then lastly, if you're
at a beach and you want to go, you know,
(24:48):
walk away from your stuff. Put all your stuff, your phone.
Speaker 4 (24:51):
Your wallet, your keys, in a diaper, wrap it up,
seal it. Nobody's stealing a diaper.
Speaker 5 (24:55):
That's now I'm stealing all the diaper.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
Discuss just to see you're going to get nasty type.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
Time heik Zach and in the morning.
Speaker 5 (25:05):
Jammie and Mount Juliet, do you have a travel hack
for us when traveling to the Beat?
Speaker 3 (25:10):
Take a pack of three M hooks with you to
hang in the shower to hang your swimsuits up.
Speaker 5 (25:15):
Oh, so that you don't have to worry about where
you should put them. Right, that's brilliant, And it'll be
nice to dry by the morning.
Speaker 7 (25:22):
Because I always put mine like out on the patio
or the balcony and then they like blow off.
Speaker 5 (25:26):
Yeah, terrible idea. Right then they're done that yep.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
Okay, three M hooks, yep.
Speaker 5 (25:32):
I recommend it, all right, thank you so much. That's
a good idea. Okay, thank you, have a great day.
Love bye.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
I still feel I will say, I don't think it
would dry overnight though, right, I mean, I feel like
you kind of need to put it out in the sun.
Speaker 5 (25:44):
No, No, it would dry.
Speaker 6 (25:46):
Could you use the three M hook outside?
Speaker 4 (25:49):
Oh no, now we're talking, Zach.
Speaker 5 (25:50):
Yeah, I think it could still fly away though.
Speaker 6 (25:53):
Tie it on there, tie to the hook.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Yeah, you guys are so dramatic, Ricky, Zach and Menno.
In the morning, there could.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
Be someone who told me that baby pigeons didn't exist,
and I would believe them because I've literally never seen
a baby pigeon before.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
Where are they? I mean, it makes no sense.
Speaker 5 (26:12):
It's wild.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
And that's what today's daily double tap on one o
seven five the River has to do with Kevin found It.
Speaker 10 (26:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
I don't even know how I stumbled upon this, but
somebody took that question where baby pigeons and made it
into a very big grand music.
Speaker 5 (26:24):
How you stumbled upon it? Age is very strange.
Speaker 6 (26:28):
Algorithm is insane.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
Here we go, here's the question we're all wondering.
Speaker 9 (26:46):
You see baby, baby pigeon.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
Baby.
Speaker 7 (27:00):
This keeps going on and on and on, asking the
legit question is like, where are the baby pigeons?
Speaker 4 (27:06):
They're all the same size. Where are the babies?
Speaker 5 (27:09):
They're just boring adults.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
I don't understand at all. I really don't.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
We're gonna put the video off, as we do every
day at one oh seven five of the River on Instagram.
Speaker 4 (27:18):
Do they just hide in an underground nest somewhere until
they're fully grown.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
I'm literally googling baby pigeon to see if there are
any images of baby pigeons.
Speaker 6 (27:26):
There are, and they're not very cute.
Speaker 4 (27:28):
Oh my God, not good.
Speaker 5 (27:30):
They are scary. Yeah, they hide them wherever they hide them.
Speaker 9 (27:34):
Yeah, Oh my god, you don't want to see a
baby pigeon.
Speaker 4 (27:38):
Ricky's face says it all right now. She is disgusted
and shock.
Speaker 6 (27:41):
It's not good.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
One seven five The River Ricky, Zach and Manno in
the morning.
