Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
All right, let's go a few minutes past six o'clock
on this Thursday morning. Thank you for starting your day
with us. Ricky Sanchez has those three things.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
Sabrina Carpenter has partnered with Duncan again for a new drink.
Speaker 4 (00:13):
It's called the Strawberry Daydream Refresher. It's got strawberry.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Flavor oat milk plus a layer of cold foam, making
for a strawberry and cream type of sip. According to
the press release, so Frida Carpenter's drink is just one
of the very several new summer menu items and they're
all currently available, So if you want to go try
it out today, you can.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
The Dallas Mavericks selected Cooper Flag.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
With the top pick in the twenty twenty five NBA
Draft last night. He's the top rank recruit in the
nation when he committed to Duke in October twenty twenty three,
and he led the Blue Devils all the way to
the final four. So the Dallas Maverick said, that's our guys,
shut MAVs and we have an update on the National
Public Library after the parking lot fire. Obviously, this has
(00:55):
been an ongoing situation trying to keep up with what
exactly is happening, truly, Devin stating that the library even
has to be closed, but obviously they want to make
sure that everything is safe and everything is great by
the time you can walk back in those doors. So
National Public Librariy's main branch is going to stay closed
until Monday, July twenty eighth. More than ninety percent of
the building sustained very light soot and smoke impact. With
(01:18):
that said, ninety nine percent of the books and materials
that are housed inside of the main library are fully
restorable with a light cleaning. So this is the best
case scenario.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
It's just going to take a little bit of time.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
They're working to redirect books and materials on hold that
were located at the main.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
Library for you to pick up to the.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Lobby or Louby Branch oh Library twenty three oh one
Rosa l Parks Boulevard is where you can pick that up.
You will get a text once they are ready, because
they're currently working on that right now. So if you
have a book on hold, one that you've been waiting
to get, it's coming to you.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
Just give them a little bit of time.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
And a little bit of grace Amarquy Sanchez, And those
are the three things you need to know.
Speaker 5 (01:54):
I had to drive out to that Louby branch last week.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
My son was very adamant about a certain minecraft book,
like there was like three in a series and he
needed to read the third one, and that was the
only place that had it.
Speaker 5 (02:05):
And it was it was like a whole hour.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
You know exactly where it is.
Speaker 5 (02:08):
I know exactly where it is, but I spent all
day getting in this one book that I don't even
know if he's looked at one time.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Good dad, Thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Do you know about the parking downtown at the library,
because that, I mean, that's part spoil your secret, But
that was always sort of your go to.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
Why are you saying that, I'm sorry.
Speaker 5 (02:21):
So the park.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
Everyone's going to know about it.
Speaker 5 (02:24):
It is the best place to park if you're going down.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
No.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
Well, thank you, Ricky, sorry that I spoiled your surprise.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
There.
Speaker 5 (02:30):
Here's Gracie Abrams.
Speaker 2 (02:31):

way less than ten minutes first caller the day.
Speaker 5 (02:34):

Speaker 4 (02:40):
Morning, Jackie in East Nashville.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Welcome to one O seven five the River. You are
so quick with those fingers, Jackie. Is it because you're
really excited about the idea of going to see Noasiris?
Speaker 6 (02:52):
Absolutely?
Speaker 4 (02:53):
Okay that I.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Mean, we'll just go ahead and tell you right now.
Your quick fingers paid off because you are the first
caller of the day.
Speaker 6 (02:59):
Thank you guys so much.
Speaker 7 (03:00):
No, no, no, no, no, I need more than that.
I need like a quick little whoo.
Speaker 5 (03:04):
You're going to see the queen for God's sake?
Speaker 7 (03:06):
Yes, thank you, we're talking.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
Have you seen Noah Cyrus before?
Speaker 6 (03:11):
No, That's why I'm so excited too, so.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Oh yay, first time seeing her gonna be a great show.
I mean, the rhyman in and of itself is going
to be iconic exactly.
Speaker 5 (03:20):
And by the way, she's got a new album coming on.
I just looked this up. It's called I Want My
Loved Ones To Go with Me. It'll be out July eleven.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
She's got songs with Fleet Foxes on Here, Blake Shelton,
Ella Langley like it is legit.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Noah Cyrus, Jackie, are you up this early because you're
going to work or did you know that we were
going to do this at first?
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Caller?
Speaker 6 (03:37):
Oh, I am going to work, but I also heard
you guys doing this for all week, and I was like,
I have to get these tickets.
Speaker 5 (03:42):
This is dedication.
Speaker 8 (03:43):
Girl.
Speaker 7 (03:44):
It's Thursday. You've been calling every single day. I'm proud
of you.
Speaker 6 (03:47):
Well, thank you guys.
Speaker 9 (03:48):
Is it all worked out right?
Speaker 5 (03:49):
Absolutely? What do you do, Jackie?
Speaker 9 (03:52):
I worked for like insurance company?
Speaker 5 (03:54):
Which one?
Speaker 4 (03:55):
Is it?
Speaker 5 (03:55):
Liberty?
Speaker 6 (03:55):
I don't know if I'm allowed to say.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
Also, why did you immediately go to liber I don't know.
Speaker 5 (04:00):
I just like sometimes you have a premonition about Liberty.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
I could say that your premonition was so far off.
Speaker 5 (04:07):
It could have been close. Is it State Farm?
Speaker 6 (04:10):
Maybe those are the commercials that are sticking your head.
Speaker 7 (04:13):
I think that's what it is.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
You're just gonna start naming as many as possible. Are
you just.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
Tell us who you are. She's not going to and
that's okay.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
It's her right. She does not need to tell us.
But we told her what she.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Needs to know, and that's the fact that she's getting
these Nowhere Syrius tickets October fifteenth at the Ryman.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
You will be there. Congratulations, love, Thank you guys so much?
Speaker 5 (04:33):
Is this whole man auto?
Speaker 8 (04:35):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (04:35):
Su my god, Jackie, please stay on the line so
that we can get some info from you.
Speaker 9 (04:39):
Okay, thank you?
Speaker 5 (04:40):
Who do you guys?
Speaker 10 (04:41):
Use?
Speaker 7 (04:42):
Why are you so interested in people's insurance?
Speaker 4 (04:44):
This is also such a dad move. Oh what insurance
do you have?
Speaker 7 (04:48):
Yeah, I'm not telling you Geico?
Speaker 4 (04:50):
I have Geico?
Speaker 6 (04:51):
Do you?
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (04:52):
Is it because of the little lizard?
Speaker 3 (04:54):
It's not because of the little lizard, although I know
why you would think that, because I would be somebody
who take insurance based off that they were the cheapest ones.
Speaker 5 (05:03):
More of those Noasiris tickets tomorrow. But here's the thing.
You have to tell us who you work for.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
One Ricky Zach and.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
The River.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Ricky mentioned a second ago her fiance Aju has been
lying about his feelings toward her car.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
Yeah. Basically I've been duped and I've been lied to.
Basically my entire relation.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
We should say Ricky drives a cyber truck. Continue the truck.
Speaker 11 (05:28):
That I hate.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
Okay, uh No, I have a Volksegen Beatle convertible is
what I have.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
She's very cute.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
I love my little Mac but it's not just Mac,
it's every car I've ever owned. Oh so, AJ drives
pretty much everywhere. Whenever we go anywhere, AJ typically drives,
And I thought that was just him being a gentleman
and him being nice and be like, no worries, babe,
I got it, I'm gonna drive us. Turns out it
has nothing to do with him being nice to me
(05:54):
or being a gentleman. He doesn't like getting into any
car that I've ever owned because it's messy and it's dirty. Okay, yeah, yeah,
I was gonna say, both of you, we're gonna say
that because this is the thing. I wouldn't say that
my car is dirty. It's definitely messy, though there's lots
of stuff in there. I basically live out of my car,
so I have a lot of different things in the backseat.
(06:15):
I also am a just I'm so bad when it
comes to returning things. I put them in the back
of my car, and then I never return them because
I forget that they're in the back of the car.
Speaker 12 (06:24):
Well, it doesn't help that your car is also already tiny,
so it's tiny and then clutter lots of so it's
like an anxiety attack as soon as you get in.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Yeah, and it is kind of dirty right now actually,
because like the floor definitely needs to be vacuumed now,
it is dirty. This all started because he said that
he was gonna go clean his car and vacuum it
out and.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
Like get in a nice wash. And I was like, hey,
since you're not working and he got the summer off.
Speaker 5 (06:50):
Yeah, he's a teacher, he's got the summer up.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Uh, you could totally take my car too and clean
it out.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
And he was like absolutely not. That is an all
day endeavor.
Speaker 7 (06:58):
Yeah, that would like take a week, I feel like.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
So he was like no, And then it came to
terms with the fact that he never gets in my
car because it gives him anxiety to get it.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
I get it. I truly get it.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
Knew you were going to agree with him.
Speaker 5 (07:10):
Car is kind of the same. I hate going it.
It's so gros.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
The only time I ever get in her car is
if I have to drive it to the car wash
because she is never gonna do that.
Speaker 5 (07:18):
Uh, And it's just it's a mess. It's a disaster,
and I don't like it.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
I've literally never taken this car to the car wash.
I've had him since twenty twenty.
Speaker 7 (07:25):
You literally have never taken it a single time.
Speaker 4 (07:27):
No, I think it. Car washes are a waste of money.
Speaker 7 (07:29):
And now we know why AJ does not want to
get in your car.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
It's filthy, okay, but like it's not that bad.
Speaker 4 (07:37):
It's like it's stinky.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
Do want they say like a cluttered space, a cluttered
mind or something like, oh.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
Yeah, that's one hundred percent.
Speaker 5 (07:42):
Wouldn't you feel better if it was just like organized
and vacuhim down.
Speaker 7 (07:45):
And it's cluttered.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Whether the space is cluttered or not, my brain is cluttered.
That's just the way that my brain works. I don't
know what to tell you.
Speaker 7 (07:53):
I'm glad that he finally came clean.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
But now I'm also kind of like, I don't think
i'll ever clean it. No, no, because he drives me
everywhere because he doesn't want to get in my car.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
So this is a wind for me.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
You're one of those people that you just like a hoarder,
like you, You know, you see him on the road
and they've just got papers and things just piled you
can't even see through the window.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
It is bad.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
Every summer I realize how bad it is because I
can't put the top down because things will fly.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
Out of your belongings, everything down the hallway.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
So that's when I typically realized, like, oh, it's pretty
bad and ears you're cleaning.
Speaker 5 (08:25):
Okay, so you're not going to that.
Speaker 7 (08:27):
No, she's too stubborn.
Speaker 5 (08:29):
Yeah, all right, well that settles that kind of not really.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
I feel lied to.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
Three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Here we go, just after seven o'clock on this Thursday morning.
Speaker 5 (08:38):
Another warm one already.
Speaker 4 (08:40):
I know every day.
Speaker 5 (08:42):
Thanks for being here, Rick, He's got those three things.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Billboard's fifty Best Albums of the Year so Far list
has dropped.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
The list is artists alphabetically, so I'll give you just
some of their picks from the list. Sabrina Carpenter's Short
and Sweet, Billie Eilish Hit Me Hard and Soft Lamar's
GNX Bad Bunny. DeBie Terrama's Photos is also on there.
Brandon Lake's album King of Hearts. There's a bunch more,
but obviously, you know, they're just going off of what's
(09:12):
been released thus.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
Far six months into the year.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
We got a lot more coming out the end of
the year, so we'll see what they end with in December,
because they put out a full list of everything.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
That they loved throughout the year as well.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
This is interesting. Water isn't the most hydrating drink. According
to a new study, skim milk actually takes the crown.
It's got sugar, protein, and fat that helps keep liquids
and fluids in your system longer. So, according to this
new study, drinks like oral rehydration solutions, full fat milk,
(09:46):
and even orange juice outrank water in staying power. Wow,
So you got to steer clear sugary sodas things like
that because you want just a little bit of sugar,
not something overboard. You don't want to drink, you know,
like Coca cola, mountain dew, things like that that's not
gonna help punch your thirst. Feels like it is, but
it actually isn't.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
The movie Anchorman rond Burgundy was a hot day and
he was drinking milk.
Speaker 5 (10:07):
Was a bad choice. That sticks in my head. So
it's like, I never think.
Speaker 7 (10:10):
The great choice, Yeah it was.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
If it was skim milk, even better, better choice, even better.
Speaker 4 (10:15):
So just keep that in mind during this heat wave.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
You should obviously be drinking water, but if you throwing
milk every so often, it's actually really good for you.
Speaker 4 (10:22):
It's gonna help you out.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
And the National Zoo has announced a new Moon jellyfish exhibit.
Speaker 4 (10:28):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
Their new home is fourteen hundred gallons of salt water
in an aquarium. It sits at the front of the
Unseen New World exhibit. They got around fifty jellies in there,
just floating around. I keep seeing videos of them, and
they just look so cool. The National Zoo said they'll
be adding more jellyfish and different kinds of species like
the Atlantic sea needle and the white spotted jellyfish at
(10:51):
some point.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
You guys, I'm just talking you now. Ricky won't stop
talking about his jellyfish.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
I love jellyfish.
Speaker 5 (10:56):
They're crazy about these jelly I've.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
Been freaking out since yesterday because I love jellyfish.
Speaker 5 (11:01):
Videos of jellyfish.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
I want to get like a tattoo of a jellyfish.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
I love jellies, so I can't wait to go and
see them just kind of float around in their little
tink a little home.
Speaker 4 (11:10):
I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
need to know.
Speaker 5 (11:12):
I've never seen her so excited about anything. Maybe a
little Boovo's la boos.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
And then jelly fish, weird things that make me excited,
and that's great.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
I'm happy that you're happy. Here's Chiboozi. Right after this song,
let's learn, Zach Spacx. We're gonna learn something together next
down the.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
River one seven Ricky Zach and.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Will preface this fact by saying he's not feeling so
hot today, Zach. He's got like a pinch nerve in
his neck and he's kind of walking around like a
like Frankenstein.
Speaker 7 (11:38):
We're alive, babes.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
But he's here and he's ready to teach at Zack's
Fax on one oh seven five the River.
Speaker 12 (11:43):
Well, since classes in session, I think we should start
with a pop quiz. Do you guys know how many
peanuts it takes to make a jar peanut butter?
Speaker 4 (11:50):
Oh? Wow? Ten thousand?
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Oh my goodness, it's a lot of I think it's
your jar.
Speaker 5 (11:56):
I would say two hundreds.
Speaker 12 (11:58):
Apparently it takes five hundred did forty peanuts to make
a twelve ounce jar of a peanut butter.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
Oh, I buy the big guys.
Speaker 12 (12:05):
Yeah, so this is for peanuts thousands more.
Speaker 7 (12:11):
And that's your fact that the.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
Day one o seven five the Ribber, Ricky Zach and
Meno in the Morning.
Speaker 5 (12:16):
Zach has a very important question for you. Is you
get where you're going.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
On this Thursday morning? It's one oh seven five the River. Zach,
your question, I.
Speaker 7 (12:23):
Want to know do you think a taco is a sandwich?
Speaker 3 (12:26):
All of our classic questions in life all go back
to sandwiches.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
Yeah, is a hot dog a sandwich? Is a taco
a sandwich?
Speaker 2 (12:33):
But this one, a judge actually ruled on whether or
not a taco is a sandwich. So we want your opinion.
We'll tell you what the judge said. So legally speaking, I'm.
Speaker 4 (12:42):
Going to tell you right now. I disagree with this
with the judge.
Speaker 5 (12:44):
Oh you do?
Speaker 4 (12:44):
Oh yeah, like hard disagree if.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
You have an opinion six one five seven, three seven nine,
one oh seven. The question is simple. Is a taco
a sandwich?
Speaker 7 (12:54):
Very simple?
Speaker 5 (12:55):
One o seven five The ribber Ricky.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Zach and Meno in the morning.
Speaker 7 (12:59):
Do you do you think a taco is a sandwich?
Speaker 4 (13:02):
No, thank god, Robin, it's not.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
It's not bread.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
It's not a it's not a bread product.
Speaker 9 (13:10):
It would be like saying I'm putting peanut butter between
two crackers and that's a sandwich.
Speaker 5 (13:15):
I would say, tortilla is a bread product.
Speaker 7 (13:18):
Yeah, like a flower tortilla.
Speaker 12 (13:20):
Okay, maybe one, yeah, like a corn one.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
Yeah, Like the traditional tacos are corn tortillas. There's no
flour or breading or anything like that in a traditional top.
Speaker 5 (13:33):
So what did this judge rule in this case?
Speaker 3 (13:35):
The judge rules that tacos and britas are Mexican style sandwiches,
and he's just wrong.
Speaker 5 (13:41):
Wow, I mean ritos. Well the judge.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
That doesn't make him rocky.
Speaker 7 (13:46):
He's more knowledgeable than we are.
Speaker 5 (13:48):
I agree with him.
Speaker 6 (13:50):
Robin.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Let me ask you a couple other questions. Is catch
up a smoothie?
Speaker 9 (13:54):
Gross?
Speaker 2 (13:54):
I suppose if you wanted to make the one you.
Speaker 8 (13:57):
Shart, but no, I would not recommend it.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
Yes, why would ketchup be as smooth as it's just
because it's blended.
Speaker 5 (14:05):
Yeah, you know, mixed up.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
Well, we don't know if tomatoes fruit or a vegetable,
but you know, that's kind of how you make.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
I mean, we don't know if tomatoes a fruit or
a vegetable.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
I don't think anybody knows that. Nobody knows that because
it would.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Have to kind of go with that as well as no.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
Just so, yeah, like you wouldn't drink ketch up.
Speaker 7 (14:27):
I mean some people people would. That's nasty.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Okay, last question, Robin, this is not food related, but
do mermaids give live birth or lay eggs?
Speaker 4 (14:35):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (14:35):
Good questions?
Speaker 5 (14:40):
Yeah, see we stumped you.
Speaker 9 (14:45):
I just because I think it would look nicer.
Speaker 4 (14:48):
In my mind, I would say, okay, eggs.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
I was thinking they definitely lay eggs, just because the
bottom part is fish.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
Yeah. No, you're right, the reproductive organs.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
Organs right.
Speaker 12 (15:02):
So cute to see little mermaids just like swimming around like, oh,
gave birth to this little beady mermaid.
Speaker 7 (15:06):
I think that'd be adorable. So I'm like picturing human.
Speaker 9 (15:09):
Livescoote, I am, I am too picturing like the little
cute mermaids, like little tiny ones.
Speaker 5 (15:15):
Yeah yeah, okay, Robin, thank you. We we accomplished some
good stuff here.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
Have a great day life.
Speaker 5 (15:26):
We need to judge the chime in on the mermaid thing?
We do that?
Speaker 10 (15:30):
Like?
Speaker 7 (15:30):
That one really got me. I even googled it and it.
Speaker 4 (15:33):
Said mermaids aren't real. Why what do you mean?
Speaker 5 (15:35):
Will it says?
Speaker 12 (15:36):
In folklore and fantasy, mermaids are often depicted as giving
birth to live, young so I just wanted to see,
like what the spiracy theory was.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
If anybody wants to weigh in at six one, five, seven, three,
seven nine, and I'll throw one more question out something
upon this morning?
Speaker 5 (15:49):
Can animals commit crimes? We'll be right back.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning.
Speaker 4 (15:56):
Mark your calendars for November second.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
A bridge, an arena that's maroon five is gonna be
in town, Taylor and Clark. Still, if you win Kevin
Manner's Game of the Day on one oh seven five
the River, you're gonna be there.
Speaker 8 (16:07):
That was amazing. It sounds great.
Speaker 5 (16:08):
Are you feeling this morning?
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Taylor?
Speaker 8 (16:10):
I am a little tired and I actually went to
the Incubi show last night, so I'm a little tired
this morning, but I think I'm ready to go.
Speaker 5 (16:16):
Oh that's so cool.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
You went to see Incubus and they played what was
it morning view like in its entirety?
Speaker 8 (16:21):
Yes they did.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Oh cool, that's awesome, love Incubis. Well, hopefully on the
back of that one you can win another one.
Speaker 5 (16:30):
Here you ready, let's go?
Speaker 7 (16:32):
All right?
Speaker 2 (16:32):
The game is called Numbers and Colors Trivia questions. You
get two out of three of them right in the
tickets are yours. Okay, here we go, Taylor. Your game
starts right now. Oh, I feel like you know you're
a rock fan. You're gonna know this. Before opening Third
Man Records here in Nashville, Jack White was a member
of what rock band with a color in their name?
Speaker 8 (16:54):
That would be Jack White and mag wife and make
up the white stripes?
Speaker 7 (16:58):
Nice?
Speaker 4 (16:59):
All right?
Speaker 5 (17:00):
Get this right? You win?
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Danny, Rusty Linus and their friends attempt to commit a
crime in what movie with a number in its title?
Speaker 8 (17:12):
That would be Oceans eleven.
Speaker 5 (17:14):
Well, this was just too easy for you. Congratulations, Thank you.
Speaker 8 (17:18):
I've actually seen Marion fot I actually lucky enough to
see them during the Super Bowl halftime show back in
twenty nineteen eighty Land.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
Oh wow, Okay, this may not be the same as
you know, the super Bowl, but it's going to be
a phenomenal show.
Speaker 8 (17:31):
Well fifteen minutes versus a whole hour and a half
of their hit it too Okay?
Speaker 7 (17:36):
Absolutely did you say you were there?
Speaker 5 (17:38):
You were at the super Bowl?
Speaker 7 (17:39):
Yes?
Speaker 8 (17:40):
Uh, me and my wife or Patriots fans, and we
decided that this may be the last time we see
Tom Brady in the Patriots uniform. And also probably which
it was. And also the last time we were act
to pay Super Bowl that was just closed. I said,
we're doing it.
Speaker 5 (17:53):
I refresh our memory. Did the Patriots win that year
or no?
Speaker 8 (17:56):
Yes, everybody that watched it that it was a very
boy game. It was a real oak scoring games with
all defense. But as Patriots fans were related.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
So sure, awesome, wells very cool. Tay, you're gonna go
see Maroon five again.
Speaker 8 (18:09):
Hey, I'm looking forward to it. I loved him ever
since part of Brief came out way back when. So
it's gonna be a good time.
Speaker 5 (18:16):
Fantastic. Thank you for calling, buddy, Thanks for waking up
with us, have fun, hang.
Speaker 8 (18:19):
On, Okay, all right, how good you'll see.
Speaker 5 (18:21):
Thank you like a chatty winner.
Speaker 4 (18:24):
You love small talk. He's a Patriots fan, though, so.
Speaker 5 (18:28):
So you just I saw you kind of got like
stink face halfway through that.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
That's why I'm a Jets fan.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Three things you need to know?
Speaker 5 (18:35):
All right, here we go. Thank you for starting your
Thursday with us. Ricky's got those three things.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
By now pay later loans will soon factor into American's
credit scores. Buy now, pay later companies like Klarna and
after pay are a way for people to buy the
things that they need or they want with repayment plans
that are a.
Speaker 4 (18:51):
Lot cheaper than putting them on your credit card.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
Fiko is going to launch a suite of credit scores
later this year that incorporate buy now, play later, Hey
later data. So it's gonna provide lenders with a window
into this big blind spot they never knew your.
Speaker 4 (19:07):
Repayment you know habits when it comes to buy now,
pay later.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
So the company's launching a FIGHTO Score ten and FIGHTO
Score ten T models that are going to specifically have.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
These scores added.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
It's a whole different way of looking at it because obviously,
when it comes to credit, there's a lot of different
you know, nuances to how they use your credit score.
When you take out a loan, obviously, if you pay
it off really fast, it can change your credit score.
Speaker 4 (19:32):
If you take too long to pay it off, it
changes your credit score.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
If you don't pay it on time, it changes your
credit score. So the way that people do their buy
now pay laters is completely different. If you're worried about this,
I will say FIGHTO Score eight is the most popular
one that lenders use that can change in the future,
but if you're like not so great at your buy now,
pay later plans, you're still kind of in the clear
right now. An Animal Foundation in Murphy's Burrow is adding
(19:57):
a twenty four to seven microchip station outside to the
Beasley Animal Foundation announcer microchip station and outreach box for
National Microchipping Month, which are both located on their front porch.
Speaker 4 (20:09):
This is really cool though.
Speaker 3 (20:10):
So they noticed that, you know, the area needed a
way to scan and find pets storing evenings and weekends,
and in October they asked for the community to kind
of help out. So students at Oakland High School were
part of making it possible by creating and designing the
outreach box. That's very cool, right, So they helped put
it all together and design it. It looks great.
Speaker 4 (20:32):
I love that the community got involved.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
And this is a great way to help serve the
community because obviously, when you find a missing pet, you
want to be able to bring them to their owner
as soon as possible, so you can find that new
twenty four to seven microchip station, like I said, outside
the Beasley Animal Foundation in Murphysboro and Ben and Jerry's
gave a hack on the right way to store your
ice cream. You know, when you store your ice cream,
and if it's in there for too long, it gets
(20:55):
frosty on the top. Yeah, and they can't eat it
because then it just doesn't taste the same. And this
is how you make sure that doesn't happen. Put it
in your freezer upside down. So when you put it
in upside down, you're making sure that the moisture doesn't
get into the top of it and then create ice
on top.
Speaker 5 (21:11):
How are we just hearing this now for the first
time ever?
Speaker 4 (21:13):
I know that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
So obviously you want to make sure that the lid
is very tight before you store it. You don't want
it to be like melty before you store it, because
then you're gonna pull it out.
Speaker 4 (21:21):
It's gonna be a disaster.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
But right when you get home, pop it in the
freezer upside down, you're never gonna have it.
Speaker 5 (21:27):
Three either, print that on the packaging yourself.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
I know, no more freezer, Sanchez, And those are the
three things.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
You need to know.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Reiky, Zach and men in the morning, we are about to.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
Play you mind blowing audio here on one oh seven
five of the river. We're in a heat wave, but
we're not the only place that's in a heat wave.
Basically the entire country is. It's hot almost everywhere right now.
But this audio piece, we saw it happening on one
of the like news so it was on the Today Show.
(21:58):
It's a professional talking about what you should set your
thermostat at during a heat wave.
Speaker 4 (22:04):
It's gonna blow your mind.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
Here.
Speaker 11 (22:05):
We turn up the thermostat to seventy eight degrees because
it is the most efficient way to run your air conditioner.
The Energy department actually says turn it up even more.
When you leave the house for walk, close the curtains,
draw the blinds down, so much heat gets into your
home through your window. If you have ceiling fans in
your home, look up, make sure the blades are spinning
in a counterclockwise direction and you're feeling the breeze coming down.
(22:28):
Here's the thing about ceiling fans. They aren't cooling the room,
They're just cooling you. So when you leave the room,
turn them off.
Speaker 5 (22:34):
So those are all the tips there. But seventy eight degrees.
Speaker 12 (22:37):
Yeah, the second half makes sense to me. But seventy
eight degrees I would simply die.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
What do you think about setting your thermostat at seventy
eight degrees right now?
Speaker 4 (22:46):
Six one five, seven, three seven nine, one oh seven?
Is that normal for you? Is that what you typically do?
Speaker 2 (22:51):
I bet? I guarantee there are some people out there
that do it. If this is what the experts are suggesting.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
Let's sake one seven five the River Raicky's Zach and
Meno in the morning, Ashville.
Speaker 4 (23:00):
Welcome to one O seven five of the River. We
just played probably what's the most disturbing thing we've ever
played on our morning show.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
A professional says that you should set your thermostat at
seventy eight during the heat wave.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
What do you think about that?
Speaker 1 (23:14):
So? I get it?
Speaker 9 (23:15):
Okay, I really do what my nephews are saying. Hi,
So my house story counsel so that whenever they installed
all of the new things that they install places, they
don't do the HVAC systems that compliment two story homes
(23:37):
in these tulkiennies. Rightay, So my house constantly stays at
seventy eight eighty eighty one, eighty two, even warmer than
the upstairs parts.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
Of they have you just said eighty two?
Speaker 1 (23:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (23:51):
Yeah, I know?
Speaker 9 (23:52):
Are you probably more disturbing than the news segment.
Speaker 5 (23:55):
Are you comfortable in that or are you like miserable
in that?
Speaker 9 (23:58):
No, I'm miserable. Okay, Yeah, I have those box fans
running in both parts of my house up fairs completely
all night long. I got turned the serve and sat
down and pulled my house down at night. But it's
like hips up automatically, and it's pointless for me to
have it running past seventy eight. Oh, it's running all
day and there's nothing.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
That's going on. Kelsey, I feel so bad for you
because that just like, okay, so seventy eight they're saying
that's the most effective way for it to run, but like,
that's not great for my body.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
I'm overheating.
Speaker 9 (24:30):
Then absolutely not take comfort in knowing that you've got
a well air conditioned building to go keep for work
every day.
Speaker 5 (24:38):
Okay, oh okay, you.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
Need to like you need to work from a workspace
that's a shared work space.
Speaker 9 (24:47):
Yeah, I know, right well, with three kids in the
house with me in the summertime, it's kind of difficult
to be able to leave.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
Yeah that makes sense, Kelsey, Thank you so much for
calling in.
Speaker 8 (24:58):
Its fun.
Speaker 9 (25:01):
But I get it.
Speaker 10 (25:03):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
All right, thank you have a great day. Stay cool
over there in that sauna of yours. I guess if
like the alternative is, you know, running your AC super low,
but you could like make it go out and then
you don't have any air conditioning.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
Yeah, I guess that's what really does tend to happen.
I know that's a big issue in a lot of
cities like New York, Like they get blackouts. Yeah, they
get blackouts, rolling blackouts, and then it's bad for everybody
because then nobody has air conditioning. But I just I
don't know, I'm so spoiled. I don't think I could survive.
Speaker 7 (25:35):
I would have to get a hotel. Like, there's absolutely
no way if it was seventy eight degrees in my house.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
That's the studio at fifty nine.
Speaker 5 (25:43):
You never met anybody that likes a room as cold
as Zach.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
You're welcome, Ricky, Zach and men in the morning, Morning Easton.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
What do you think about setting the thermostat to seventy eight?
Speaker 6 (25:55):
No, we do put it when we leave the house,
we put it at seventy one. But during the night
they have sixty eight because my mom will get nuts
if it goes over seventy one. I've turned it up
very much, and she gets mad at me and I
get in trouble.
Speaker 5 (26:11):
Sixty eight to me is very cold. I would not
be comfortable in sixty eight.
Speaker 6 (26:15):
No, I mean I have to have a couple of
blankets only when I got to sleep.
Speaker 7 (26:20):
I feel like that's why it's more comfortable to me.
Speaker 12 (26:22):
It's because like you can cuddle up with your comforter,
and like you can fully cover up versus like if
I'm hot, then I'm just laying there naked in the
middle of my bed.
Speaker 4 (26:31):
The naked was unnecessarily a child half over.
Speaker 5 (26:34):
Here, right, Zach? Would you I think Zach would sleep
in a meat locker if he could.
Speaker 7 (26:39):
Yeah, absolutely, I would sleep so well.
Speaker 9 (26:41):
No, no, no, no, don't snowing.
Speaker 6 (26:45):
Me and Zach can go hang out from where where
you guys going to meat freezers?
Speaker 5 (26:49):
All right, we're gonna we'll make him put his clothes on.
But thank you for calling Easton.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
All right, all right, Reiki, Zach and Meno in the morning.
Speaker 5 (27:00):
I know seven five the river.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
They're not getting better.
Speaker 5 (27:03):
No, No, I like old sung radio jingles. I want
to bring them back.
Speaker 7 (27:07):
I think the first one was better.
Speaker 5 (27:09):
Okay, I'm gonna neither of them anyway. It's time for
the daily double tap.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
Nope, okay, but we're gonna have people actually saying you
are better than Kevan for this.
Speaker 4 (27:19):
It's a band that they're calling Blink Juan eighty two,
not one eighty two, Quan eighty two. I love it.
It's a fun one.
Speaker 7 (27:28):
Here you go, all.
Speaker 10 (27:31):
And non so sorry, I'm gonna sleepna dream time. I
need somebody in the now. Six strange startness, screeping time
a seconds, so.
Speaker 5 (27:53):
I don't. I'm just gonna keep playing it. I don't
want to stop, but I love it getting better and
here you boy, Subtrees.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
Speak.
Speaker 5 (28:02):
I mean, I love Blink. I love mariachi music.
Speaker 8 (28:04):
Why not?
Speaker 4 (28:05):
It was so fun. It gives it a totally different
vibe too.
Speaker 5 (28:10):
It's very good.
Speaker 12 (28:11):
I feel like I want to play this at like
my birthday party, like just make everybody in a really
good mood.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Man.
Speaker 12 (28:17):
We're all like bopping our heads right now, and I'm
like that automatically puts us in a good mood.
Speaker 5 (28:21):
Zach's birthday party is coming up on Saturday. Honestly, I'm
very curious to see what music you do play your party.
Speaker 7 (28:25):
It's gonna be Blink one eighty two.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
That was a good, nice, fun one. Every day we
play some audio from a video about this time. It's
the Daily double Tap, and we always post a video
on the Instagram stories. You can find Blink one eighty
two Juan eighty two up at one oh seven five
of the River on Instagram.
Speaker 5 (28:41):
Good Pick Ricky
Speaker 1 (28:43):
One, Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning
