Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three things you need to know.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Right good morning, six o'clock here on this Thursday morning
in Nashville. Ricky Sanchez is right here with those three things.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
The man who killed four University of Idaho's students back
in twenty twenty two has been sentenced. On the night
of November thirteenth, twenty twenty two, he murdered them in
their off campus home. The killer, who was a former
criminology student, was sentenced yesterday to four life sentences without
the chance of parole, plus an additional ten years for
burglary and a two hundred and seventy thousand dollars fine.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
Obviously, good he pleaded guilty.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
I'm glad that obviously all of these family members can
now have some bit of closure through.

Speaker 5 (00:39):
All of this.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
This has been a huge story since it happened in
twenty twenty two and has changed the way that a
lot of campuses and university students kind of deal with
being in off campus home housing. So I'm glad that
obviously the right thing was made right I guess, I'm like,
I don't even know the right words to go about this.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
It was just such a horrific event.

Speaker 6 (01:01):
Justice was served in this yes there we go.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Such a bad, horrific event.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
If you have an iPhone, You're getting a bunch of
new emojis soon. The iOS twenty six update is going
to have nine new emojis. A trombone, a treasure chest,
a distorted face, a hairy creature that like kind of
looks like Bigfoot, a fight cloud, Apple core Orca, ballet dancer,
and a landslide. They made a rendering of all of

(01:26):
the new emojis, so I'll post them up on our
Instagram stories at one oh seventy five. The River, the Bigfoot.
Super hyped about it. I love Bigfoot.

Speaker 6 (01:34):
You can stop typing out Bigfoot all the time.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
Love Bigfoot.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
So I'm very excited about this.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
It probably won't come with the first iOS twenty six update.
It typically comes the second or third one within that realm,
so be on the lookout for it. It's coming soon
and this is really cool for Davidson County residents. Root
Nashville is giving out free trees until August thirty first,
so Root Nashville is a public private campaign between Metro
Nashville and the Cumberland River Compact to plant five hundred

(02:02):
thousand trees by twenty fifty in order to support clean
air and clean water throughout Davidson County for the residence.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
If you live in Davidson.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
County, you can get up to three large trees for free,
which will be delivered to you between October and March.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
You have to just fill out a forum.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
There's a link for it.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
I will also post that at one O seven five
the River and the Instagram stories. Once you fill out
the form, there's a few more steps you got to
go through, but you can get a bunch of free troops.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
This is really amazing.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
So it helps you, helps your land, and then helps
the entire you know Davidson County as well.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
I'm Ricky Sanchez and those are the three things you
need to know.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Thank you so much, Ricky, and thank you for starting
your day with us. We are having a party tonight
like a happy hour. We've been giving away drinks at
our party all week for the first caller. You can
get yourself your first drink on us.

Speaker 6 (02:47):
Tonight, coming up in about ten minutes right here on
the River.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Seven five the River, Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Good morning, it's one O seven five the River. We
got candy and Nashville on the line.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
How you doing this morning, Candy? I'm I am so good.

Speaker 7 (03:03):
We just have to get it out of the way
because it's just bursting from the seams.

Speaker 8 (03:06):
Ah, what, Candy?

Speaker 7 (03:08):
That all I could think about, Candy.

Speaker 6 (03:12):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
How many times in your life would you say people
have sung that to your face?

Speaker 9 (03:16):
Oh? I can't even count.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Yeah, you know, I was really excited to talk to you, Candy,
and then Zach had.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
To go and do that.

Speaker 8 (03:23):
It was just coming from my soul. I could not stop.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
He literally almost jumped out of his seat right there, Candy.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
So you're on your way to work right now.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
I am, Hey, what.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
Are you doing tonight, Candy?

Speaker 8 (03:34):
I'm going to Yeah, I like to hear.

Speaker 6 (03:39):
Yeah, you're the first caller of the day.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
So tonight at our happy Hour tavern Midtown, your first
drink is on us, and if Zach sings to you.

Speaker 8 (03:49):
We'll bout you enough.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Drink. Trying to make it a little less grating, I
guess you could.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Say, all right, Candy, thank you so much for starting
your day with us.

Speaker 6 (03:59):
We will you this evening. We can't wait.

Speaker 7 (04:01):
All right, Hang on the line, Love, Kevin, act like
you did not want to sing the song.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
I will tell you the truth. It was my very
first thought, and then I moved down. I was thinking,
right before you did that, what other songs have candy
in them?

Speaker 8 (04:13):
And what's it like to have self restraint.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
I don't know if we could say that about Kevin
only in this instance.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Tonight Tavernmintown, everybody is invited. We would love to see
you tonight at our happy hour one O seven five
Ricky Zach and Meno in the Morning.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
There have been some rumors going around about Ricky Zach
and Mano in the morning about one O seven five
the River, and we kind of just want to set
the record straight on some of them.

Speaker 6 (04:39):
TMZ man. They're all up in our grill here.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Honestly, that's what it feels like. That's a little dramatic,
but it really does feel like that. We get like
a few, you know, messages of things.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
We want to talk about it.

Speaker 6 (04:49):
Yeah, we do.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Let's play shibuzzi here and then we will set the
record straight. We're an open book and we'll share it all.
Will bear our souls, Oh drama, the real real.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Next one O seven five Ricky Zach and men Rumors
that we need to address.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
It's Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning on one
of seven five the River. We've gotten some dms and
messages personally and also on the River account on Instagram,
and we just kind of want to set the record street.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
I've gotten a ton of them myself. Kevin Mano over here,
the Mano family recently relocated to San Diego. Yeah, we're
living in San Diego. It's some opportunities pop up that
we took us that way. And I am here in
Nashville at the moment, but iHeart has sort of like
renovated a studio out there for me so I can
still do this show from there, which is crazy hours
for you. But the last three days I've been there,

(05:38):
you guys have been here, Ricky and Zach have been
here in studio here.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
And I think it sounds pretty flawless.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Yeah, I think probably won't notice a difference. But Kevin's
going to be coming back and forth. Yeah, He'll still
be in Nashville every so often, and he'll mostly just
be in San Diego though, But he's not leaving the
show exactly. The number one question that we keep getting
is like, is he leaving? This is kind of what
comes with having a famous wife because all these news
stories about how exactly.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Yeah, but this is not super uncommon in radio for
people to kind of be patched in doing this stuff together.
And like you said, I will be back here quite
off and kind of going back and forth. I'm here now,
we're gonna be at Midtown or Tavern tonight in Midtown
doing our happy hours.

Speaker 6 (06:18):
I'll be back at.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Least once a month to do those, because that's a
brand new thing we had. Yeah, so I'll be back
and forth quite a bit. I didn't tell you guys
that when we moved. Literally day one we were there,
we were unloading a pod and my kids were excitedly
like trying to run, you know, like loads of things
into the house and so you could do it faster.

Speaker 6 (06:34):
Kids are the best help.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Day one, Molly tripped and broke her arms. What Yeah,
she fractured her wrist.

Speaker 6 (06:41):
We are living by the beach.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
We have a pool, brand new start for her boom.

Speaker 6 (06:47):
She goes down.

Speaker 8 (06:51):
Swimming or anything because she's in a cast.

Speaker 6 (06:54):
Well we're supposed to. It's like a like a splint greater.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
Cast right now, full cast.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
And we do have Yeah, we have an appointment for
her to see what's next. It's either gonna be a
hard cast, there are waterproof castle. We don't know what
what's gonna happen next, but we're hoping for the best
for her.

Speaker 6 (07:08):
Oh I know, I know.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
That makes me so sad.

Speaker 8 (07:13):
Kind of it kind of sucks.

Speaker 7 (07:14):
But also the good news is for her, she can
like get out of anything, like, oh, I can't carry
the box my wrists.

Speaker 8 (07:19):
Heart's like, she doesn't have to unpack it to move anything.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
She's she's milking it without a die. Absolutely what she
wants ice cream, three meals a day, She's like, but
the arm so she's I'll keep you guys posted on
what's next.

Speaker 6 (07:33):
How heartbreaking.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Also though gonna be a great story later on in life.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
Yeah, of like, oh yeah, remember that time we were.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
All so excited to move to San Diego and I
ruined everything.

Speaker 6 (07:44):
She's nine.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
This is the second time I've never broken a bone.
This is her second arm break. You need to get
her some calcium.

Speaker 7 (07:52):
Maybe she's just a little bit more adventurous than you CAUs.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
Solid points act.

Speaker 8 (07:58):
It's just a little.

Speaker 6 (07:59):
Baby, But there you go.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
So that hopefully clears up some questions that anybody might
have had going back and.

Speaker 6 (08:03):
Forth and all was well.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
The show lives on Riggy Zagermannon in the morning. We
are committed, We love you, love each other.

Speaker 6 (08:08):
Here we go three things you need to know.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
All this a bit past seven on this Thursday morning.
Ricky Snchez is right here with those three things.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Chapelone's new single may be coming as early as next week,
and we have.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
A clip to show you.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
She's been teasing a new single for quite some time now,
with August first as a prevalent date. A lot of
different you know, billboards and flyers are popping up in
different cities with the date of August first.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
She just released a.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Teaser for a song called Subway on her socials. She
said recently in an interview that for Subway, it's going
to feel different, and different doesn't always mean worse. You
just have to really take yourself out of it and
be like, this is different and that's okay. That's a
direct quote from Chapel So here's a clip of the song.

Speaker 6 (08:54):
It's very exciting. Brandy flas.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Gone, I'm move into Saskatchewan.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
Saskatchewan. Yeah, so she said it's going to be different.
Like she said so we're going to keep you updated
if she does actually announce that it's Foreshore coming August first,
or if it just comes out August first, gonna let
you know. The National Fire Department is gonna give away
school supplies this Friday.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
This is really amazing. They're helping local kids who are
all heading back to school.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
They're doing a backpack giveaway on Friday as part of
their Blaze mentoring program. So it's happening at the National
Fire Department. It's gonna be at their headquarters on Hermitage
Avenue from one.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
To four pm.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Just a note, students do need to be present to
get the backpack, so bring your kids, go get some supplies.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
We love that they're doing this.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
There's so many new and inventive ways that people are
going about to make sure the kids have the supplies
that they need for school, which is so important. So
this Friday one to four, National Fire Department Headquarters on
Hermitage Avenue, and Uber is giving women more options with
their new Women Preferences features. This is something that they've
done in a few other areas a bunch of different

(10:09):
countries back in twenty nineteen started to get these features.
Now it's becoming available in the US right now. They're
rolling it out first in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Detroit,
but eventually it should hit more US markets. But women
riders are going to be able to request women drivers.
They'll be able to pre book trips with women drivers
and set a preference for women drivers with women passengers shared.

(10:33):
If you're doing a shared ride, you could also request
that it's only with other women. It doesn't guarantee because
obviously there may not be as many women as there
are drivers for the riders, but it'll help push you
toward getting a specific women driver. This is all to
make it a safe, effective trip for everybody that they're
just comfortable with.

Speaker 5 (10:52):
Like I said, they're eventually going to.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Roll this out in more US markets soon, So keep
an eye on it for your Uber app if you
like to take your rights AMERG.

Speaker 5 (11:01):
Sanchez and those are the three things you need to know.

Speaker 6 (11:02):
You like a chatty Uber driver or a quiet Uber
driver depends on the day.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
Yeah, if I'm traveling, I don't want to talk to
anybody because I'm typically tired, But like on a night out,
I'm like ready to go, I'll chat with you all night.
If you're intoxicated, not even Yeah, if I'm intoxicated, for sure,
it's a new best friend.

Speaker 6 (11:19):
Right after Gracie abrams that guy. Right there, Zach has
a fact. We're gonna learn together. Zach' spax next to
other rivers one O seven five the River.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
All right, gather round, it's time to learn it. Zach's
facts on one oh seven five of the River.

Speaker 8 (11:34):
Do you guys know how the name bingo got its
name b I n g O bingo.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (11:41):
So Apparently in the nineteen twenties they used to call
it bino because they would put like dried beans on
the squares that they were getting, and someone got so
excited that they won Bino that they sit up and
screamed bingo, and it literally changed the name of the
game to bingo for the rest of forever.

Speaker 6 (11:56):
Because somebody misspoke.

Speaker 7 (11:57):
Yeah, because they got so excited, because it's like an
expression of excitement is saying like, oh, bingo when you win.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (12:03):
Yeah, So he got up and said bingo, Now that's
the name of the game.

Speaker 6 (12:07):
Well, do you think it was an expression before this
person said it?

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (12:10):
Like it was always an expression of excitement, and then
so he got so excited and they changed the.

Speaker 8 (12:15):
Name of the game. Kevin, that's your fact of the day, Kevin, Exactly.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
I kind of missed being Bino back.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Bring Bino backs, Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
Anone wants to know if she's the jerk in this situation,
and we want to hear from you. When you're trying
to merge onto sixty five south from four forty and
it backs up, so.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
There's just a long, long, long, long, long line.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Is it a jerk move to move up in the line,
creep up in the line, wait till something opens and
slide in there so you're closer to the exit, or do.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
You get in the line where it starts, like back
way back where it starts to back up?

Speaker 3 (12:54):
You kind of we mixed in this room. Don't say
what you think, guys, just yet. I want to hear
what other people have to say.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Okay, six, one, five, seven, three seven, nine, one oh seven.
Your stance on cutting the.

Speaker 6 (13:06):
Line really sort of in the traffick the line when
it backs up, is that does that a jerk move? Well,
let us know what you think.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
One seven five the River Ricky, Zach and Menno in
the morning.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
My friend wants to know if she's the jerk in
this situation.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
When you're trying to merge onto sixty five style from
four to forty and it backs all the way up,
is it a jerk move to move up in the
line towards the exit and wait for an opening to
kind of slide in there?

Speaker 4 (13:31):
Chatta Murphysboro, what do you think?

Speaker 1 (13:33):
It just depends.

Speaker 7 (13:34):
I do this just about every weekday.

Speaker 10 (13:37):
I travel from West End the four forty six five,
and it just depends.

Speaker 6 (13:42):
On what your day's like.

Speaker 10 (13:43):
If you want to get home earlier, be a jerk
to move in, If you want to be a nice guy,
maybe go back a mile.

Speaker 7 (13:49):
It just depends on what the day looks like.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
For me.

Speaker 10 (13:52):
I'll move up and be like, oh, I'm sorry, I
forgot that this was the exit and move in.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
I kind of agree with you. If I'm not in
a hurry, I will wait patiently in line. But more
times than not, I always feel like I'm in a hurry,
and I do. I'm not proud of it, but I
admit I will wait for the opening and cut in.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
Yeah, But as long as you wave whoever, it's okay.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
It's a Tennessee way.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
I love how Chad had said that he does this
every week that he still will be like, oh sorry,
miss the exit, like almost gotta.

Speaker 5 (14:22):
Get in there.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
That's my people know I've got Tennessee tags.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
They know I'm a local, so they're probably.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Like, all right, Jeed, thank you man. I appreciate the honesty.
A great day to Lena in spring Hill. What do
you think is that a jerk move?

Speaker 10 (14:41):
Nope, it's not a jerk move. That's what the lane's
there for. I do it all the time. You could
be a sheep and get behind that long old line,
or you could just drive all the way up immersion.
That's what Lene is for.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
Selina, have you ever been like yelled at for cutting
the line or you know, like flip the bird.

Speaker 10 (14:59):
I'm pretty sure I have, But they're stuck way back
there when I'm almost halfway out of that line.

Speaker 6 (15:04):
I like, if there are people sitting in that line
right now and you just call them sheep.

Speaker 10 (15:10):
Well, they just need a mrdage over they see all
of us flying right by.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
But then they would create chaos if everybody was doing
it like there's gotta be.

Speaker 10 (15:18):
That is why we got some of those people that
sit back right.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
This is what I was gonna say, is that there's
got to be people who stay in the line, and
there's got to be people who cut the line.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
Otherwise it's absolute chaos.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
So the people who stay in the line, Selena may
call you sheep, but you're just really nice people.

Speaker 10 (15:35):
Yes, also really nice people. But we got that new
June Lake exit and it's just a mess right there,
and if you pass it, you're like three, You're welcome.
You guys, have a good morning, you too.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
I mean, if you do sneak up, you're gonna find
an opening. There's gonna be a room for always.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
Sometimes people are literally sitting there with the blinker on,
and then they're causing more traffic because they're trying to
cut the line because they couldn't wait in the line.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
If you're a bad driver, don't even try to sneakin
thing you. I'm a great I'm a great like I'm
I feel like Jason Bourne when I drive.

Speaker 6 (16:11):
I am that's terrific.

Speaker 8 (16:13):
You're a terrifying driver.

Speaker 4 (16:14):
Kevin Zach, You're not all that much better.

Speaker 6 (16:17):
I'm a little bit better.

Speaker 8 (16:18):
Than Kevin.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
I feel.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Reacky Zach and Meno in the morning, Ricky, Zach and
Mano in the morning.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
I'm one of seven five the River having a debate
about traffic etiquette this morning.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
Jennifer and Nolansville tell us, is it a jerk move
to cut that line of traffic?

Speaker 9 (16:34):
I have been doing it for at least fifteen years.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
Yes.

Speaker 9 (16:39):
I get off work off of Western at three thirty
and I have to be at my next spot by
four thirty. If I don't cut, I don't make it.

Speaker 11 (16:48):
Oh.

Speaker 9 (16:49):
I have gotten people that have been violently like rageful,
mad at me, let me the bird called me every
name in the book, and.

Speaker 11 (16:58):
I have to do it.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
See, okay, Jennifer, I understand that you got to get
to the next place like quick and fast. But I
also understand being really mad at someone kind of cutting
in the line because you've been waiting for so long
and you're like, why do you get to go ahead
of me?

Speaker 4 (17:12):
I could see that frustration.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
I think, honestly, what this comes down to is we
just need better infrastructure.

Speaker 6 (17:18):
Well that's not happening, so the deal with the cutting.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
He really needs.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
What we really need is better infrastructure. Because all of
these lanes.

Speaker 6 (17:29):
And line cars.

Speaker 4 (17:30):
That would also be another option.

Speaker 5 (17:32):
Kevin, I'm not opposed to that.

Speaker 9 (17:33):
The last lady that flipped me off literally like pointed
straight in my face and then point it to the
back of the line, and I was just like acting
like I'm sorry. I mean I have to I mean
I had to get to my next class.

Speaker 6 (17:47):
Does that does that stick with you? Does that like
hurt your soul a little bit to get you know,
people that angry at you? Or do you just not care?

Speaker 9 (17:53):
I don't care at all?

Speaker 6 (17:54):
Okay, got thick skin. You can go one of two ways.
There's different types of people out there. But she doesn't care.
All right. Thank you for calling and sharing being honest
with us, all right.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
I get angry at other drivers sometimes, but I never
expressed that because you never know who's crazy.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
I use that horn on my car, like you don't.
You wouldn't believe it really all the time. That's why
it's there.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
It's there to be like, hello, I am right here.
You need to know what you just did, and I
need to make you embarrassed about what you just did.
Otherwise you're just gonna keep doing it.

Speaker 6 (18:28):
You're gonna find something you're gonna be in a road
rage situation.

Speaker 4 (18:31):
Ricky, I welcome it. I'm ready.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
Lord, you want these Disney on Ice passes. Disney on
Ice is coming to Bridgestone. We've got them with the
Game of the Day here in a couple of minutes.

Speaker 6 (18:40):
It's a Disney.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Quisney, Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning, We're about.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
To start our Disney quisney for Kevin Maano's Game of
the Day on one oh seven five the River, Disney
on Ice presents Frozen and Incanto.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
Those tickets are up for grabs. I can't believe I
keep having to say Disney Quizzy.

Speaker 6 (19:00):
I think it's a clever name. Kayla and Nashville, Good
morning morning. How are you.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
We're good.

Speaker 6 (19:06):
Yeah, we're having a great day over here. What are
you up to here right now?

Speaker 10 (19:09):
Getting ready to work?

Speaker 11 (19:10):
I have been calling every day trying to get on this.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
Oh yay, Well, we're glad you got through too.

Speaker 6 (19:17):
Are you a Disney fan?

Speaker 9 (19:18):
Oh yeah, huge, Disney.

Speaker 6 (19:20):
This should be no problem at all for you. I'm
gonna give you some quotes from movies.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
If you can identify the movies two out of three
of these, you're on your way to Disney on Ice.

Speaker 6 (19:29):
Okay, okay, all right, Kayla. Your Disney Quisney starts right now.
Quote number one. I know I'm not supposed to love music,
but it's not my fault.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
That's from.

Speaker 11 (19:44):
It's about where he goes to the land of the
dead and reunites with his great Yeah.

Speaker 6 (19:49):
Oh, I know it's on the tip of your tongue.

Speaker 10 (19:52):
Coco, y you found it.

Speaker 6 (19:55):
You did a nice job.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
I was trying to think.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
I was like, it was also like a drink.

Speaker 10 (19:58):
Coco has a dream.

Speaker 6 (20:01):
Yeah, you're on the board, so you need one more
to win.

Speaker 7 (20:03):
Here.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
I've been looking out of a window for eighteen years
dreaming about what it might feel like when those lights
rise in the sky.

Speaker 11 (20:11):
That's Tangled.

Speaker 6 (20:13):
One you need right away. Nice job.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Yeah, that movie.

Speaker 11 (20:16):
That's my second favorite Disney movie.

Speaker 6 (20:19):
Well, what's your first, Beauty the Beast?

Speaker 4 (20:21):
Okay, a classic. It all worked out for you, Kayla.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
You're getting tickets to Disney on Ice presents Frozen in Aconto.

Speaker 10 (20:27):
Oh my gosh, my my husband didn't think I would
be able to get this, and I'm so happy because
I get to take my one year old son JD.

Speaker 11 (20:35):
And I called you all yesterday.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
Oh yes, James Dean, Yes, yeah, so I'm super excited
to take him.

Speaker 11 (20:42):
This will be first.

Speaker 4 (20:43):
That's amazing. Also, rubbing in your husband's face.

Speaker 10 (20:46):
Now, oh yeah, oh, I definitely will.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
All right, go make some memories with JD. Congratulations and
thank you for calling, Kayla, Thank you.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
Three things.

Speaker 6 (20:56):
Here we go, Here we go.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Just after eight o'clock on this Thursday morning, Ricky Sanchez
has those three things.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
A heat dome is set to affect most of the country,
including Tennessee, this weekend. Tens of millions of Americans are
under what forecasters call a ring of fire.

Speaker 4 (21:10):
I know, frightening. It's very frightening.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
So the heat dome is settling over Chicago to New
Orleans today, the Great Lakes region. We'll see areas that
have heat indecks in the mid nineties. It's gonna just
affect so many people. It's gonna shift more to the east.
On Friday, the heat dome will affect nearly two hundred
million people. There's going to be heat indecks between one
ten and one fifteen. That includes Tennessee. So please be

(21:34):
safe this weekend. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
Stay in the shade.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
If you can help anybody else who may need water,
make sure that you know the elderly and young kids
are being taken care of. Make sure that your pets
touching those asphalt like you gotta make sure that their
little paws don't get burnt because it's so hot, So
just stay safe. This weekend, Madame Tussau made history. They
unveiled thirteen new Tailor Swift wax figures. Each one represents

(22:01):
her albums and the erastour stage costumes.

Speaker 4 (22:04):
Five of these are in the United States.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
New York has Midnights, Los Angeles has Speak Now, Las
Vegas Fearless Orlando reputation. Nashville has Nashville, which just makes
sense obviously. The other eight are located all over Europe,
Asia and Australia.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
So you'd have to travel to go to those.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
An executive at Madame Tusso said, quote, this is the
most ambitious project in our two hundred and fifty year history,
which only feels right to reflect the stratospheric status of
Taylor Swift.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
I'm just I'm kind of more blown away that Madame
Twoson's is even still around, still doing.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
This same same I also did read that Taylor didn't
sit down for measurements, so they may not look that
creat just guess, So just.

Speaker 4 (22:49):
Gonna go ahead and throw that out there.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
Chips Ahoy is launching new Stranger Things cookies. This is
the first time that they're doing fruit filled Okay, so
this is kind of a big deal. It's all inspired
by Ranger Things fudge chipped studded chocolate cookies. They have
a bold red strawberry center. They're wrapped in a glow
in the Dark eighties theme packaging, which totally makes sense.
Like I said, first time that they're gonna have fruit

(23:12):
filled anything, so there's gonna be fruity centers, I guess
to these cookies.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
They're said to hit shelves nationwide August eleventh.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
There's gonna be a two pack snack size just in
time for Halloween so you can hand them out in
your little you know, goodie bags and for trigger treaters.

Speaker 5 (23:26):
Hamricky Sanchez and those are the three things you need
to know.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
One O seven five the River, Raichi Zach and men
in the River.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
Good morning friends. What's the most creative way you ever
got a job?

Speaker 3 (23:38):
That's our question right now, because people are putting their
resumes on TikTok to try to get jobs, and I
think that's pretty creative.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
Very it's a good way to use social media.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
Yeah, and showing creativity like that is going to give
you a leg up on the competition.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
So if you've ever thought outside of the box when
job hunting, however you landed a job, we want to
hear your story. Six one, five, seven, three, seven, nine,
one oh seven.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Maybe it was a bit on TikTok maybe, but obviously
TikTok hasn't been around forever, so true.

Speaker 10 (24:04):
You know, let us know.

Speaker 6 (24:05):
Maybe you showed up at the boss's house. We want
to hear.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
People are putting their resumes on TikTok right now to
get jobs, which I think is a pretty creative idea.

Speaker 8 (24:18):
It's pretty brilliant.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
It's one of seven five the river.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
Obviously, TikTok hasn't been around forever, and there are lots
of creative people out there. So what's the most creative
way You've got a job? Mike in Goodletsville, Hey, how's.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
It going good?

Speaker 11 (24:31):
How are you excellent? So I applied for a job
that I definitely was not one hundred percent qualified for
and that job was producing commercials. So I figured what
better way to prove my skills than to make a
commercial selling myself, And then that's how I got my job.

Speaker 6 (24:47):
That's so smart.

Speaker 11 (24:48):
I didn't want to just be another resume on somebody's
desk of like, you know, here's somebody that on paper
doesn't really have the best experience. But I said, hey,
I want this job so badly that I'm going to
show you how badly I want it.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
I think that's beautiful and it clearly works.

Speaker 7 (25:01):
Yeah, if I was a hiring manager, I would immediately
throw away all of the paper resumes and be like,
you are hired. Like the amount of dedication and time
that you put into just even like basically auditioning for
this job is crazy.

Speaker 11 (25:13):
That's why I like to picture actually happened.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
In my mind.

Speaker 11 (25:16):
They threw out all of the resumes and just looked.

Speaker 6 (25:19):
At my mike.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
We work in radio, so my mind automatically goes to
an audio commercial. But was this video or audio?

Speaker 11 (25:25):
It was a video.

Speaker 4 (25:26):
How long did it take you to make the commercial?

Speaker 1 (25:29):
Uh?

Speaker 11 (25:29):
My friend and I did it in probably forty hours
from start to finish. Okay, we just spent like forty
eight hours straight making this commercial.

Speaker 7 (25:35):
Basically, also, you have really good friends, because if you
asked me to do that, be like, I can supply
pizza and beer, Like, what else do.

Speaker 6 (25:41):
You want from me?

Speaker 11 (25:42):
Yeah, I'm very happy to have to have my friend
who helped me.

Speaker 6 (25:45):
Mike, can you recap what you said how you sold
yourself in this commercial? How would you sell yourself?

Speaker 11 (25:50):
I basically said, I am a really good personality hire
and it doesn't matter if my skills are not there,
so you should hire me.

Speaker 4 (25:58):
Hey, it works for Zach Zach's personality one.

Speaker 11 (26:03):
I'm glad we have that in comment.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
Thanks so much, Mike. We appreciate you calling in today
and we hope you have a great day.

Speaker 11 (26:09):
Thanks you too.

Speaker 6 (26:10):
See that that like is so creative.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
I feel like, you know, younger people always ask us
like how do I get into radio?

Speaker 6 (26:16):
Or like this is the type of stuff you have
to do. You have to think outside the box and.

Speaker 10 (26:18):
Just go for it.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
Absolutely, Also, don't get into readio.

Speaker 7 (26:22):
Yeah, every time anyone asked me that question, I'm like, hey,
just don't do it run.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
Which I will also say everybody.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
When I was an intern was like, run, don't do it,
and here we are. But I really loved it, and
here I am. So if you really do love it,
we're really just messing around.

Speaker 10 (26:38):
Go for it.

Speaker 4 (26:38):
Whatever it is that you feel passionate about, unless it's Radio.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
One, Rickie, Zach and Men in the Morning.

Speaker 6 (26:46):
Seven five the River. Hi, who's this?

Speaker 11 (26:48):
This is Michael Baylor. I'm just calling in to tell
Ricky happy late birthday since I didn't get to get
into the audio yesterday.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
Oh, Mike, thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
I really appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
I hope you had a good day. I did.

Speaker 4 (27:01):
That's really sweet of you that you called again today.
Thank you so much.

Speaker 11 (27:05):
Awesome, You're welcome you.

Speaker 10 (27:06):
I'll have a great day.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
Hold on, before you go, let me just tell you
if you're free tonight, we're having a little party.

Speaker 6 (27:11):
It's not necessarily.

Speaker 4 (27:13):
Ricky's birthday party, but my birthday party.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Do you think I'm probably gonna end up on a
table singing tour at some point? So if you want
to come, you want to come to our happy hour tonight.
It's Tavern Midtown. We're gonna be there from five to seven.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (27:26):
Yeah, they have like half priced advertisers.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
We also have drinks that are named after each of us,
which is really fun.

Speaker 5 (27:32):
So if you're available, stop by.

Speaker 11 (27:35):
Okay, awesome, I hope to see y' all there.

Speaker 5 (27:37):
Okay, have a great deal.

Speaker 6 (27:38):
Nobody y'all say it was so sweet and everybody else.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
If you miss those details, you can find all the
information for our happy hour tonight on our Instagram at
one oh seven five The River.

Speaker 6 (27:50):
Bring Ricky a present.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
You don't have to bring me a present, just your present, Ricky.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
Zach and I want you to imagine, as for Stalley
double Tap on one of seventy five The River, You're
a child waking up from anesthesia.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
It's a mini horse that's supposed to be like a
therapy horse for the kids in the hospital, but he
has a very special.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
Way of waking kids up from anesthesia that we just
feel is traumatizing. Yeah, here's what it sounds like.

Speaker 7 (28:30):
It is a mini horse using its mouth, going back
and forth on a piano, just playing the piano with
its mouth. And I'm just like picturing if I woke
up from like having my teeth removed, or like my wisdom.
You're high and you're on drugs, and you wake up
and you see a mini horse playing a piano with
its mouth. I would be traumatized.

Speaker 6 (28:49):
How could you not be?

Speaker 8 (28:51):
I would be like, what planet am I actually on?

Speaker 3 (28:54):
And as a kid, you don't understand that you're tripping
out right, You don't get that you don't know that
that's happening.

Speaker 6 (28:59):
This is the weirdest decision.

Speaker 7 (29:02):
I get that it's supposed to be like a very
kind sentiment of like something to bring them joy and
help them come out.

Speaker 6 (29:08):
Or are they trying to mess these kids?

Speaker 1 (29:10):
No?

Speaker 7 (29:10):
I feel like there's no ill intent, but it is
just so bizarre that it's terrified, horrified.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
If we're going to post the video, you have to
see the video. This one's going up in the Instagram stories,
the Daily Double Tap. You can always find it up
there at one O seven five the River on Instagram.
I'll just I'll never understand it. I don't know who's
who made this decision, but it's awful.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
I wonder I guess you could opt out right, like
you could be like, no, I don't want to.

Speaker 5 (29:33):
Do that to my kids.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
As awful as it is, I would one hundred percent
opt in. I need to see the serial

Speaker 1 (29:39):
