Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Good morning friends, Happy Monday, to starting things over here.
Ricky Sanchez has those three things.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
Aerosmith has officially announced that they are retiring from touring.
Lead singer Stephen Tyler experienced permanent damage to his vocal
cords last year, and despite his efforts to get back
to where it was, his voice just isn't the same.
He's worked for months with obviously the best doctors that
you can imagine that money can buy, and it's just
it's not going to get back to the same place
that it was once was. They made the announcement as
(00:29):
a band that they will no longer tour, which means
canceling remaining dates that they had scheduled as they retire
from the touring stage. They specifically said retirement from touring.
I want to make notes of that. So who knows
if they'll still try to make some music together, maybe
we'll get some new Aerosmith, but there will never be
another tour. So without a tour doesn't really make sense.
But who knows.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
With a you know, there could be more music on
the way.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Let's not do that. That is a terrible idea.
Speaker 4 (00:55):
I'm say he's a good idea of what people are
doing it.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
I don't like that at all. MTSU is gonna test
tornado sirens today, So if you're in the area of
MTSU or if you're on campus and you hear tornado sirens,
it's just a test. They're gonna do it around eleven
twenty this morning, weather permitting. So if there happens to
be inclement weather near or approaching the campus, they're no
longer going to do the test, but eleven twenty this
(01:17):
morning you will hear those sirens go off. A list
of the top airlines with the best food has come out,
and there were like no US airlines on there. So
Money Supermarkets Travel Insurance team took twenty seven thousand passenger
reviews of airline food over one hundred different airlines and
then made this list. The top spots went to a
(01:38):
bunch of airlines in the Middle East, like Kuwait Airlines,
but the US only had one at number seven, Jet Blue. Okay,
that was everybody else terrible food, which I think everybody
just knows, like you expect it when you go now
to the airport, you're gonna get good food on the
actual airplane, gonna be trashed.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
No, I mean does anybody even have food anyway? I
mean maybe for first to buy buy food.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
I remember getting food on the plane. Sure when I
was little like that was normal was to get a meal.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
God, can you imagine how rough it's going to be,
you know, twenty thirty years from how well the air
travel experience will be.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
That's terrifying to think about. I'm Rick Sanchez and those
are the three things you need to know.
Speaker 5 (02:19):
One oh seven, five of the River, Ricky, Zach and
Mano in the morning.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Good morning, Welcome to the new week. It's one of seven,
five the River. We are looking for our first color
of the day, first collar of the week. Hey, how
a right now? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:31):
All week long.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
It's tickets to see Jesse McCartney at the Ryeman in October.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
Ricky was just telling me about the last time she
saw Jesse McCarney.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
She said, it was great, it was amazing. I loved
it so much. It was also Backstreet Boys and DJ
Polly Dean. Come on, that's a good show. Six month,
five seven three seven nine, one oh seven.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
That's the phone number. Call us shot with us next
first call of the day.
Speaker 5 (02:49):
We're talking about one o seven five the River, Ricky,
Zach and Manow in the morning, Holly.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
In Manchester, sounds like you're in the car.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
What do you do in Holly, I didn't a doctor's appointment.
Oh okay.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
I'm not going to make it awkward and ask what
you're going in for, but if you want to.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
I hate bloodwork, Collie. I have the smallest veins known
to mankind, and they can never get my veins, so
it's literally the worst. Same for you. That's so bad.
I'm so sorry.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
And I have touchhooes and touches, but it's gonna be bloodwork.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
It's same over this, Holly. You and I are one
and the same because I have tattoos as well, all
over the place, and I'm totally fine with that.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
No, I don't mind shots like I kind of like
it's like a little like thrill for me. Oh okay,
And then to see the bag fill up with your
own blood, there's something really like.
Speaker 6 (03:39):
Why No, you know what, Holly, you got this be
strong because you're gonna make it through this blood work, okay,
and everything's gonna come back perfect.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
You're gonna make it through.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
We're also going to make it day better because obviously
going to get blood works through. This is not going
to be that exciting. But you are the first caller
of the day and one of Sement by the River,
and that's exciting.
Speaker 4 (03:58):
Oh my gosh, that is congratulations. You're going to see
Jesse McCartney at the Ryman in October.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Okay, all of my like twelve year old dreams have
just true.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
I saw him ten years ago, Holly, and he was
so good. So you're gonna love it.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
I can't wait.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
Wasn't he in a soap oper at some point too?
Speaker 2 (04:19):
I think he was like a regular on All My
Children or something, if you say so.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Was Disney Handle for a while.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
Yeah, He's had quite the illustrious career. Now you're gonna
see him.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Oh my gosh, I'm so excited.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Congratulations, Love. We're so happy to maybe be the bright
spot on your day today. That makes money so much better.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
Yay, all right, you go give blood. Thank you for listening.
Thanks for Colin.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
We'll talk to you later, say thank handl I love Okay.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
Hopefully she makes it through.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
I know that sounds so bad.
Speaker 6 (04:49):
I was just trying to give her motivation. And strength
and courage to go get her blood drawn and not
be scared than me.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
My uncle passed away during her blood.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Dren like that, you need.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
To thank you for starting this brand new week with
us Monday morning, just after seven o'clock lists go where
because you got those three things.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Hurricane Debbie will make landfall in Florida today. Hurricane warning
is currently an effect along Florida's Big Bend. A storm
surge warning is also in effect. This storm is expected
to bring a lot of flooding throughout the southeastern US
this week, so there's going to be a lot happening
in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina. Even thousands of people
(05:28):
are already without power and the number is expected to increase dramatically.
So we are thinking about everybody in that pathway. We
will see if that gives us any impact in our
weather as well. Keep you updated on that your Olympic updates.
There is so much happening at the Olympics. I can't
even keep up with half of it. But here are
some of the things that you need to know. The
(05:49):
US is still leading in medals, and specifically the US
women are just crushing it huge weekly with the most medals.
It's wild. Bobby Fink went back to back to when
gold and the fifteen hundred meter freeze style and he
broke the men's world record in that category. Novak Djokovic
secured a quote Golden Slam. He began the fifth player
to ever win Golden singles at the Olympics and all
(06:10):
four Grand Slams. Shakari Richardson made our Olympic debut and
won silver in the women's one hundred meter. That event
was the first time the US had won on the
podium in over thirty years. Melissa Jefferson won bronze in
that same event. Suny Lee and Simone Biles are the
first US Olympic gymnasts in history to win multiple all
(06:31):
around medals. Noah Lyles won his first gold medal in
the men's one hundred meter, which is also the first
for the US in twenty years in that event, and
he did it in an insane race. He won by
five thousandths of a second. That's point five second. It
is impossible why crazy National's own Gretchen Walsh won gold
(06:53):
in the mixed meggy relay, where the US women's team
set a new world record again there's just there's so
much more. Can't even tell you everything that's happening at
the Olympics. I will say that you can keep up
to date with the free iHeartRadio app. We have a
specific channel all dedicated to the Olympics, so that you
can keep yourself up to date with all this, because
I mean, we're breaking records left and right. The US
is doing amazing, so are other places. But like, I'm
(07:15):
just so proud of everyone there. It's amazing to watch.
Belmont has opened Tennessee's first medical school in fifty years.
Belmont University opened to the Thomas F. Forrist Junior College
of Medicine. So the school is going to welcome fifty
students in its first year. It can expand to one hundred.
This is a really cool part though. Students who are
part of the school are going to complete service learning projects,
(07:36):
so they're going to be connected with Nashvillians every day.
Very cool, which is really really cool. Tennessee hasn't seen
a new school training medical doctors since Eastern Tennessee State
University opened the Quillen College of Medicine in nineteen seventy four.
So this is a big moment, big moment. I'm rick Sanchez,
and those are the three things you need to know.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Thank you so much, Ricky, and thank you for starting
your day with us.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
I know a lot of kids getting back to school today,
back into those routines teach as well in parents, new
routine for everybody, in honor of return to school, We're
gonna learn something together.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
Next Zach's Facts. He is standing by. We're all gonna
get a little bit smarter after Hozier on one of
seven five the.
Speaker 5 (08:11):
Rivers, Ricky, Zach and Mennow in the morning.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
All right, let's learn something new. It's Zach's Facts, all
one of seven, five of the river.
Speaker 6 (08:21):
Your fact for this beautiful Monday morning is that your
brain is constantly eating itself.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
What is that not terrifying?
Speaker 6 (08:28):
So it's constantly eating itself. It goes through the process
to kind of shape the brain's neutral uh neuron circuits,
and so it gets rid of the worn out cells.
So like bigger cells will absorb smaller ones to get
rid of the worn out ones.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
Science teacher today, Yeah, you're welcome the we're.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Good thing that it's eating it's yeah self.
Speaker 6 (08:46):
It's basically like regenerating itself at all times.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Okay, I feel like that sounds better than eating well,
it's eating itself. And that's your facts of the day.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
I'm hungry, Gus. When you brit Us today, let's.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Go Ricky, is Zach and Manno in the morning.

Three things you need to know eight o'clock on this
Monday morning.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
Thank you for starting a brand new week with us.
Rick He's got those three things.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
Zach Effron was found injured in a pool at his
villa in Spain over the weekend. His rep stated that
he was taken to a hospital as a precautionary measure
after a quote minor swimming incident. He was released the
following day and is okay, thankfully. We still don't actually
know the details of what happened, but he did also
post to his Instagram stories saying that he was fine
(15:09):
and that he appreciates all of the concern but everything's
good okay. Again, still don't know exactly what happened though.
Could be something we may never it could be something
that really was a minor swimming incident, could have been bigger.
Who knows. All we know is that he's good. He's okay,
and that's what That's what matters. The Williamson County Fair
is back. The fair started on the second. It's gonna
go through August tenth, and Franklin gates open at six
(15:31):
pm Monday through Friday, ten am on Saturday, and on Sunday.
Speaker 4 (15:35):
They open at noon.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
You can check out Williamson County Fair dot org for
more info. If you want to buy tickets, you can
see all the things that you can bring in which
you can't bring in, all that good stuff.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
We're going on Friday. We already have plans to go
on Friday.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Now.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
My daughter wants to win a goldfish because my son Riley,
won a goldfish last year and somehow that goldfish.
Speaker 4 (15:52):
Is still alive.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
They never oh, no, yeah, like thrilled about this.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
Like we'll go away from like a week in a
time time. We come back and it's fine, Well, you
know there's a week without eating.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
Okay, deep breath over there, Kevin. Starbucks fall menu has
leaked online, and these are the things that everyone is
most excited for. Obviously, Pumpkin spice latte, hot iced and
frat forms are all coming back. Pumpkin cream cold brew,
I love that cream on top. It's so good, Ice
pumpkin cream, Chai, iced apple, cris cream, chi oat, milk
(16:24):
iced apple, Chris shaken espresso say that ten times fast,
Oh oh, milk Apple, Chris machiato, Pumpkin cream, cheese muffin
which sounds so good, baked apple croissant, and the all
new Raccoon cake pop. Those are all the things you
can expect at Starbucks.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
I need a minute to actually come to terms with
what time of year it is like kids are going
back to school already, We're talking about fall items out
a yeah, Starbucks.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
I'm ready for spooky season. I want Halloween now. I'm
Ricky Sanchez and those are the three things you need
to know.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
Thank you, Ricky, and thank you for starting your day
with us.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
If you are getting back to school today, good luck students, teachers, parents,
everybody made it through a summer.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
It's gonna be a great year.
Speaker 5 (17:02):
Ricky, Zach and manno in the morning one.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
I genuinely want to harness this community and ask a question,
come up with some sort of consensus on this.
Speaker 4 (17:11):
My wife and I had a thing about it over
the weekend.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
I don't want to say an argument or anything, but
we were on different sides of this. What is an
acceptable amount of time to leave wet clothes in a
washing machine before they get put into a dryer.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
I have a feeling that what you think is an
acceptable amount of time is a lot longer than what's
actually acceptable.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
Yeah, well no, yeah, according to my wife. I just
truly I'm not saying I'm right or she's wrong. I
just don't know what the norm is, but she never.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
Be longer than a day.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Okay, No, it was it was gonna be two hours.
And she was not okay with that.
Speaker 4 (17:41):
Oh yeah, she was.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
She wanted to wake back and dry the clothes before
it's a whole thing. But I said, sometimes overnight, I'll
let him sit for like six hours, and she.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
Was like, what are clothes?
Speaker 3 (17:50):
But that is pretty bad.
Speaker 4 (17:52):
I know that's as much as I'd be comfortable.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Let's see what everybody else thinks, though, call us right
now six one five, seven, three seven nine, one oh seven.
Will continue discussing on one O seven five of the.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
River Ricky, Zach and Manno. In the morning on the River.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Kevin asked a very important question, something that I think
everybody's wondered at some point in their lifetime. He asked,
what's the acceptable amount of time to leave clothes in
your washing machine before you switch them to the dryer.
Speaker 4 (18:19):
My wife and I were discussing this this weekend. It's
one O seven five the River.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
Based on the folks we just heard from and the
text we're getting, it seems like three or four hours
is the norm what people are comfortable with. Jenna Nashville
said an hour Max, that might be a little extreme.
Brian and Franklin.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
He said, the longest he's gone it is two days. Buddy,
that's two days.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
It's way too long.
Speaker 4 (18:38):
You might want to rewash this on.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
Fact to little science here. You can leave it no
more than twelve hours, eight to twelve hours, because by
that point, that musty smell that you smell is bacteria
and mildew that's beginning to form inside your clothes.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
But you think, based on what you looked up here,
anything less than eight hours you're gonna avoid that smell.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
That's what it's saying. That's what the sad it says online.
Anything less than eight hours is fine.
Speaker 4 (19:03):
I'm going home with that information today.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
Tell Allie, because honestly fine.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
The longest I would ever do it, in being completely realistic,
is like seven hours. I'll start the washing machine right
before I go to bed, and then I normally get
like six seven hours of sleep, and.
Speaker 4 (19:16):
Then I immediately put him in the dryer.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
So that's not terrible. I ended up reshing a lot
of my clothes because I forget that I started laundry
and then I realized that I've left them in the washer,
and I'm like Ooh, they're gonna stink. I don't even
bother opening it. I just restarted all over again.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
And didn't this just happen with Za when you were
out of town. Zach was sitting and Zach.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
Was yep, paid not paying attention to what he was doing.
In my apartment. He tried to wash the towels that
he used for the pool, but he washed them and
never put them in the dryer. So when we got
home and open to the washing machine, it stuffed so bad.
It was all so wet, still disgusting, and that's my
worst I hate that smell. Yeah, like it just like
(19:55):
singes my nostrils, like I hate it so much. A gag.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
Anything less than eight hours is probably okay, like Zach.
Anything more than three days probably not okays.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
Yes, Ricky, Zach and manno in the morning on.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
One thing I've learned in life is that men take
their fantasy football leagues very serious. And Luke Combs is
one of those men who takes his fantasy football league
very serious, very funny, it's hilarious. So for his fantasy
football league, it's a bunch of his best friends, a
lot of friends he's had for a very long time,
some since high school, and the bet was whoever lost
(20:31):
the fantasy football league would have to sing on stage
with him. Okay, so it came time for them to
uh pay off, pay off the bet. It's our daily
double tap on one O seven five The River.
Speaker 4 (20:44):
And their Way Shoes because these boys are about to
be walking in there with the stoop balls. Oh that
(21:10):
seems fun.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Great song choice, by the way, great song choice, but
also just hilarious. Yeah, take it so serious to a
point where imagine being those guys. You're on stage with
Luke Colmbs. Yeah, it was a beautiful voice and you
have to sing and you sound like that.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
I mean it sounds fun like, Oh my god, I'd
love to be on stage. You're one of my favorite
singers singing. But if you can't sing, it's.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
Kind of the nightmare.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
It's a true nightmare. Fuel The full video will be
posted at one of seven five of the River's Instagram page.
You can watch it there because it is pretty funny.
Just seeing how happy Luke Combs is to make them
do this is hilarious as well.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
That's a great bet and a great payoff again at
one of seven five to the River on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Find it one oh seven five of the river Ricky
Speaker 5 (21:52):
Zach and Mano in the morning,
