Speaker 1 (00:00):
Three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
All right, here we go. Good to see you just
after six o'clock.
Speaker 3 (00:05):
On this Wednesday morning. Let's get to it.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Ricky Sanchez has those three things.
Speaker 4 (00:09):
Scarlett Johanson and Adam Driver are helping to protect cattle
and sheep herds from gray wolves.
Speaker 5 (00:15):
In a very interesting way. To the United States.
Speaker 4 (00:18):
Department of Agriculture is operating drones that broadcast specific, harsh,
aggressive sounds in order to repel predators.
Speaker 5 (00:26):
The program is called wolf Hazing.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
With drones, they play things like fireworks, gunfire, and heavy
metal to ward off the wolves.
Speaker 5 (00:33):
This is all because.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
There has been an increase in livestock hills since the
reintroduction of the wolf to Yellowstone Park. So one of
the best things that actually works, as it turns out,
is the fight scene in the movie Marriage Story between
Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson. It works wonders on these
wolves and it gets them to run away instantly. So
(00:57):
shout out to them for helping out without even really
know one that they're helping out.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
I want to I want to be the person who
gets to test what works and what doesn't like. Who
would come up with that?
Speaker 4 (01:06):
I have no idea how they even thought to do it,
But it's the one that works really well for them,
So hey, whatever works right. This one's around my local
book lovers out there. There's a nash Girl's book swap
happening tonight at Sandbar.
Speaker 5 (01:21):
It's free to attend. It's happening from six to eight tonight.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
Just bring a book or multiple books that you're ready
to part with in the new swap with a new
friend for a different one.
Speaker 5 (01:29):
I love this idea, especially.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
If you love to read, but you also don't want
to necessarily, you know, stockpile books. This is a great
way to give them to somebody else that they can
enjoy it as well. And this is the most horrendous
thing I've heard in quite a while. Heines and Smoothie
King are making a ketchup smoothie. If you know me,
you know that I absolutely despise ketchup and I think
(01:53):
it's the worst condiment on the face of the planet.
I know a lot of you are gasping and clutching
your pearls right now hearing that ketchup is horrible. So
the idea that they would make a tomato ketchup smoothie,
I just I don't even know what to say to that,
but it's blended with a saie apple juice, strawberries and
raspberries for a little I guess sweeter.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
Touch to it. So if you're a monster and you
want to try this, it's going to be on the menu.
Speaker 4 (02:17):
At select smoothie kings across the nation starting today.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Okay, at first I was cringing, but then once you
throw on the rest of that stuff, now a sai
and whatnot, it gets a little better.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
It doesn't. I'm Rickistangs and those are the three things
you need to know.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Ricky Zach and menu in the morning.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
We're doing this thing on one oh seven five the
river called did you hear? This is going to be
a story from one of us about you know something
that you may or may not have heard about, but
you should know about.
Speaker 5 (02:45):
keV Doug tell us what we should know about.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Well, it's about the Super Bowl halftime show. And I
know it's a bit early for that. The NFL season
doesn't even officially start for another month at halftime show's
coming up in February of twenty twenty six. But there
is this financial exchange and prediction market called Calshi and
they are cal calils her child.
Speaker 6 (03:07):
I believe Ricky.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Wow, you know a lot about wall Street.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
I guess who.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Anyway, they are predicting the halftime performer and they are
saying that currently as it sits, jay Z is the
odds on favorite.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
What But that comes out like every year because he's
got that deal with the NFL, so every year.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
They say, oh, it's gonna be jay Z.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Yeah, he would be essentially giving himself that job if
he was the one that ended up doing it. They
did like rank though, like percentage wise who has the
best chance of doing it? He is followed by post Malone.
He would be second on the list. Zach, You're gonna
love this. Miley Cyrus please, I'm begging you. I'm begging
you please. Would that be your like dream perform? Like
who do you truly think should do it or would
(03:51):
do it?
Speaker 7 (03:51):
I feel like Miley Cyrus would put on like such
a good show. But I also was kind of thinking,
like maybe Beyonce because she just got off the Cowboy
Carter Tour, that she would like bring it to the
football people.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Her and Jay together that sports Yeah, the sports people.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Ricky the next show on the list, appeals to you,
So I want to know who you would put up
on that stage.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
Oh honestly, I really like the idea of post alone,
Like that sounds really good to me. I think that
would be a great show, especially because he's just been
NonStop Tory. I think he's got a down pat and
he would put on a phenomenal halftime show.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
And he could appeal to everybody. I mean, he's got
the hip hop background. He's doing countries all over the place.
But after Mila Cyrus on this list, according to this company,
Bad Money, if we did Benito.
Speaker 7 (04:39):
The way that she is smiling from ear to ear
right now just thinking.
Speaker 5 (04:42):
About it, I love Bad Money so much. I don't
think he would do it, though.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
I don't think that he wants to do the super
Bowl halftime show. I don't know, man, he doesn't strike
me as that kind of person. Yeah. But also, don't
they have to like pay to do it because they
don't get paid.
Speaker 6 (04:56):
To do it?
Speaker 2 (04:57):
I think you're right.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
I think they have to pay for their own production.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Right.
Speaker 7 (05:00):
It gets like typically around like eight million dollars that
they're paying for their.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
They see a return though, and you know, streaming bumps
and all that stuff.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
I don't know if it exactly matches, if it's still
it's a big.
Speaker 5 (05:10):
I don't think it matches.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
I guess it depends on you know, where you are
in your career, what you're feeling Beneatho's doing his residency
right now, so I don't see him coming in February
and being like, oh yeah, that's quick turn around and
doing it.
Speaker 5 (05:22):
But I would love it anything he does.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
I love not to get too off topic here, but again,
he stole Happy Gilmore. He is so good after Bad Bunny.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
They have Metallica as a strong choice. Okay, I like
that too.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
I also saw there's a big petition online from Carrie
Underwood fans to get her to do the halftime.
Speaker 6 (05:41):
I mean that would make sense. She does the song
right for Saturday night football or something.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
Monday night football.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
I don't know which song it is, but she does
us song.
Speaker 7 (05:51):
I know she's part of the NFL and has a
song in there somehow for.
Speaker 5 (05:55):
The football people.
Speaker 4 (05:56):
Yeah, sportsy gals, Ricky, Zach and we're not gonna lie
to you. I don't know how this happened to Zach,
but I'm also not surprised that it.
Speaker 5 (06:07):
Happened to Zach.
Speaker 6 (06:07):
That's so messed up.
Speaker 4 (06:09):
But Zach came in absolutely frantic this morning for one
specific reason. It's ricky Zach and Manno in the morning
on one oh seven five the river Go, I didn't
share with the class what happened to you last night?
Speaker 7 (06:18):
You guys, my car got towed last night for the
very first time, the first time in my entire life.
So my boyfriend and I were at dinner. We walked
out of dinner and I was like, where is my car?
Speaker 6 (06:29):
And it was gone.
Speaker 7 (06:30):
There was like somebody sitting that had been out there
for a while that was like, hey, what are you
looking for? So I told him, like what kind of
car I drive? And they're like, oh, yeah, they just
came and picked it up. And I was like, who
do you mean?
Speaker 2 (06:39):
They yes, they That's such a pain because then you
don't even know where to start like that, you don't
know where your car is at that point. You got
to track it down.
Speaker 7 (06:46):
No, it's so annoying because it's not like they can
leave you a note of like hey, come pick up
your car.
Speaker 5 (06:50):
They can, and they just don't.
Speaker 6 (06:52):
Literally was like I.
Speaker 7 (06:53):
Don't know what to do, Like do I just call
the police, like, what I pay for parking?
Speaker 6 (06:58):
I did pay for parking.
Speaker 5 (07:00):
Paid for parking, and they still told you.
Speaker 6 (07:01):
Yes.
Speaker 7 (07:02):
I literally have their receipt right here in my email
if you would like to see it.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
And did it expire?
Speaker 6 (07:07):
No, here's the thing.
Speaker 7 (07:08):
I paid until nine to eleven PM, and they picked
up my car at seven fifty one.
Speaker 6 (07:14):
I paid for parking, that's why.
Speaker 7 (07:16):
And there's a sign outside, like a street sign that
says paid parking with an arrow this way. So I
parked right in front of the sign where it's told
me to park, and then I paid to park there
and they still picked up my car.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Feel like you are omitting something hey, Yet I'm not.
Speaker 5 (07:30):
It's something wrong. We just don't know what it is.
Speaker 6 (07:32):
I don't know what it is. Then neither.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
Did you eventually go get your car?
Speaker 6 (07:35):
Yeah? I went and got it last night.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
And they didn't tell you what you did wrong.
Speaker 7 (07:39):
No, they said, oh, you have to call Metro because
it was a different towing company. They were like, oh,
Metro called it in in, Dot called it in and
said you have to call and talk to them about
what what did I do?
Speaker 5 (07:50):
Well, you gotta ask them what you did because I
think you did something, you'd want to know.
Speaker 7 (07:54):
No, I do want to know because I already had
to pay to go pick up my car from the tola,
which is insane that it's two hundred and fifty dollars
for me to pick up my car that I already
paid for. That it's my property that they stole off
the side of the road.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
But you didn't follow the rules they stole it.
Speaker 6 (08:11):
I did, they stole it off the side of the road.
Speaker 5 (08:14):
You didn't follow the rules?
Speaker 6 (08:15):
Yes, I did.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Well, if you've got this receipt in your email, all
that fight this, man, I'm going to post it because
now nobody believes you and we want to see this through.
Speaker 7 (08:25):
I was like, I literally have the receipt pulled up
right here, and I also have text messages where they
text me of like, hey, this is how much time
you have left in your parking more receipts than I
paid and did what I was supposed to do, Zach,
I'm so mad right now.
Speaker 5 (08:39):
Where did you go to dinner?
Speaker 4 (08:39):
Though?
Speaker 6 (08:40):
We went to v modern Italian?
Speaker 5 (08:42):
Was it?
Speaker 6 (08:42):
The food was phenomenal?
Speaker 5 (08:44):
Okay, so at least you had a nice dinner.
Speaker 6 (08:46):
Yeah, it costs hundreds.
Speaker 5 (08:47):
Of dollars more than.
Speaker 6 (08:50):
The food was really good.
Speaker 7 (08:51):
I'm so glad it was such expensive pasta.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
I will I'm so curious about this, me too, because
I want to believe you, Zach, but you're being a
little dramatic about.
Speaker 6 (09:02):
So we walked down.
Speaker 7 (09:02):
Even so, my boyfriend and I drove separately. Even he
was like, I don't know, like why they did this,
And he is the epitome of a rule follower.
Speaker 5 (09:10):
He is, he is, I'm slowly getting to your side.
Speaker 7 (09:14):
The fact that he even was like, I don't know
what's wrong and I was like me neither.
Speaker 6 (09:18):
This is so fun. Can you take me to get
my car? Now?
Speaker 2 (09:20):
I have one hundred percent sure you did something wrong,
and I need to follow up on this suit.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
We need to know exactly what happened.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
When you find out, please tell us, Please be honest
about it.
Speaker 6 (09:29):
I will you. I don't think I did anything wrong
about here for Metro.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
Three things you need to know, all right, a bit
past seven o'clock on this Wednesday morning, Ricky Sanchez is
right here with those three things.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
The producer of Tiny Desk concert says that the show
is not going away, despite the Corporation for Public Broadcasting defunding,
uh so. Longtime producer of MPR's Tiny Desk Concert, Bobby
Carter addressed rumors about the show shutting.
Speaker 5 (09:53):
Down on his Instagram.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
In his post, he said that he's heard people worried
that NPR and Tiny Desk are not going to be
a anymore because of the defunding, but they're sticking around.
He said, CPB is shutting down and encouraged everyone to
support public media by donating, but.
Speaker 5 (10:10):
They're gonna keep it going.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
They obviously have so much success with Tiny Desk Concert
it is like a beast of its own, so.
Speaker 5 (10:18):
It's not going anywhere, which is great news.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Virgin Voyages is launching a true crime cruise this fall,
so if you love true crime, this is for you.
It's officially launching October tenth from Miami. The cruise is
gonna have live podcast recordings, meet and greets with top hosts,
workshops on how to start your own podcast. It's adults only,
and it's in partnership with iHeartMedia. It's gonna be a
(10:41):
five night cruise with stops in Dominican Republic and Virgin's
private island in the Bahamas. Very fancy. It's all gonna
be a board the Valiant Lady. So if you like
this kind of stuff and you like true crime, this
may be the perfect getaway for you.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
I mean, I don't want anything bad to happen to
anybody at I'm a good person, but that would be
kind of the perfect place for something nefarious to happen, Kevin,
wouldn't it.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
Why are you putting that out into the universe saying,
don't just say it? All right, don't just say anything.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
I take it back.
Speaker 5 (11:14):
We're moving on.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
Jacks Barbecue has sold their iconic Broadway location to Robert's
Western World.
Speaker 5 (11:20):
This is a big deal.
Speaker 4 (11:21):
After thirty one years at its landmark location on Lower Broadway,
Jack's Barbecue is selling to Robert's Western World so that
they can expand. It's going to preserve the site's character,
they said, though updated plans are going to be shared
in the coming months. Jacks will now focus on expanding
its Midtown and Trinity Lane locations, as well as focusing
(11:42):
on catering. They had a really big moment with catering,
I believe, they said in the eighties, and they're kind
of going back to their roots on that. I'm Riquy
Sanchez and those are the three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Thank you very much, Ricky. Right after Shaboozi, We've got
a fact for you. Zack's fax. He's standing by. He said,
it's about the fair. Since fair season is upon us,
we're learning together. Next down the river one o seven.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
Five the river, Ricky, Zach and Menno. In the morning,
it's time.
Speaker 5 (12:08):
For Zach's fax on one oh seven five the river.
Speaker 6 (12:10):
It is officially fair season.
Speaker 7 (12:12):
The Williamson County Fair is going all the way until Saturday.
So I was like, let me find a fact about
the fair, and cotton candy is like one of my
favorite fair foods.
Speaker 6 (12:20):
Do you guys know the original name of cotton candy.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Oh, let's guess, uh, cotton cloth, I mean cloth candy.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
What?
Speaker 2 (12:29):
No?
Speaker 5 (12:30):
That was not it fluffy scrum.
Speaker 6 (12:33):
It was called FIUs.
Speaker 7 (12:36):
It was called fairy floss when it was created here
in Nashville by candy makers back in eighteen ninety seven.
They originally called cotton candy fairy floss. And that just
makes my heart so happy.
Speaker 5 (12:48):
That's really cute. Why did we not stick with fairy flow.
Speaker 7 (12:50):
I'm changing it back in there for your factor of
the day. Cotton candy is now back to fairy floss.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
I didn't realize it was invented in Nashville. That's super cool. Yeah,
exactly one O seven five The River.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Recky, Zach and Meno in the school is back in session.
Speaker 5 (13:03):
That means that summer's pretty much over. But we want
to do school shout outs on one O seven five
the River.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Yeah. Yeah, whether it be your actual school or maybe
a particular teacher or principal, a friend, whatever it is,
whoever you feel like shouting out, we want to hear
all about it.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Six one five, seven, three, seven, nine, one oh seven.
Let's get some school shout outs out there. Start the Dale, fright,
all start. I want to shout out my friends Ricky
and Zach.
Speaker 5 (13:25):
Oh that's sweet, Welcome back to school, sweeties.
Speaker 6 (13:28):
Is the school of ver.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Recky, Zach and Meno in the morning, Ricky, Zack.
Speaker 5 (13:34):
And Manno in the morning.
Speaker 4 (13:35):
On one O seven five the River school is in session,
so we are doing some school shout outs this morning.
Speaker 5 (13:42):
Dottie and Finley and Franklin. Who do you want to
shout out? Legacy Middle School?
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Okay, where's that.
Speaker 8 (13:50):
Franklin?
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Oh yeah, we just said they're calling for Franklin, Well,
you're right, it was a stupid question. I take it back.
Speaker 5 (13:57):
I think Kevin's got to go back to school.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
When did you guys start? Was your first day yesterday?
Or is it what's going on Monday?
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (14:05):
You guys started Monday. Okay, So you guys are getting
back in the groove. Everything feel good. Are you guys
excited for this year?
Speaker 8 (14:11):

guys have the.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
Best school year this year. Just you know, go in
every day, happy to be there and learn as much
as you possibly can. Fill up those brains.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Yes, all right, go get them, have a great year.
Thank you guys for calling.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
Thank you bye guys.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Kayla and Nashville. Good morning, Welcome to the river. Who
would you like to shout out this morning?
Speaker 8 (14:33):
Good morning, I would like to shout out Nashville Christian.
Speaker 5 (14:36):
Do you have a kid?
Speaker 6 (14:37):
Is a going there? Or you're a teacher?
Speaker 8 (14:39):
So I am a two year old teacher and my
son is in the toddler room. But ever since we started,
everybody was so nice to us and welcome, welcomed us
in like family, and so everybody's been really nice. I
don't feel like we're gonna, you know, gripe out each
other or bite each other's head. Everybody's so nice every morning,
(15:02):
even if we're all having a bad day, we're all
still so nice to each other.
Speaker 5 (15:06):
That's a nice thing.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
We love to hear that. We hope you guys have
a great school year this year.
Speaker 8 (15:10):
Oh yeah, and my son, which is JD, he loves
this there.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
Oh that's great.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
That is so important. And uh yeah, you just never know.
So I'm really happy to hear that.
Speaker 4 (15:20):
Yeah, you have a great day. Love, Thank you so
much for calling in.
Speaker 7 (15:23):
Y'all have a nice one to six one five, seven, three,
seven nine one o seven.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
If you want to shout out a school or a
teacher or a principal, I'll be honest. She yeah, yeah, yeah.
Ever since she said she was a two year old teacher,
I just picture a toddler teaching Kevin.
Speaker 7 (15:39):
I also was thinking like, does that mean she's been
teaching for two years or does she teach two year olds?
Speaker 5 (15:44):
I think she's been teaching for two years.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
Two year olds don't usually go to school.
Speaker 6 (15:48):
I don't know. I don't have a kid.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
Okay, seven seven to shout out your.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
School, Ricky Zach and men in the.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
Morning seven every good morning.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
School officially back for most in the area. We're doing
school shout outs. If it's a teacher or principal, your
best friend, whoever. We want to hear right now, LEVI,
good morning.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
Who would you let you shout out?
Speaker 5 (16:13):
All right? Shout out to Middle Tennessee Christian School?
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (16:16):
What grade are you in in middle school?
Speaker 8 (16:18):
In sixth grade?
Speaker 5 (16:19):
Sixth grade is the first grade in middle school?
Speaker 8 (16:21):
Right?
Speaker 4 (16:22):
Yes, okay, this is a big deal, LEVI. We hope
you have a great school year.
Speaker 6 (16:26):
I have a great day.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Have a great day, you too.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
That's awesome.
Speaker 5 (16:29):
Go get them, Hi, guys.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
I remember being like the the young one, like once
I started high school where I grew up Indiana, and
just feeling so intimidated walking around these halls with all
these big kids.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Yeah, middle school and in high school, or the two
big moments of like whoa, you don't know anything?
Speaker 5 (16:45):
Where am I am?
Speaker 4 (16:46):
I do I feel comfortable yet it's a whole thing.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
And I'll be honest with you.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
High school students still intimidate me. If I see like
a group of them, I avoid them.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
We hope anybody's starting middle school or high school, have
a great first year in those school rules, because yeah,
it is.
Speaker 5 (17:01):
It's just intimidating for all of us, including Kevin.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Heather, good morning, welcome to the river. Who would you
like to shout out?
Speaker 9 (17:07):
New Union Elementary School in Manchester? And my son Wyatt
is the first grade?
Speaker 5 (17:13):
First grade? How exciting?
Speaker 7 (17:15):
Is so excited?
Speaker 8 (17:17):
Yo?
Speaker 4 (17:17):
That's another big one, because you know, kindergarten is a
big deal.
Speaker 5 (17:21):
But once you leave kindergarten, it's like, oh, you're like you're.
Speaker 6 (17:24):
In it to win it.
Speaker 4 (17:27):
Yeah, Heather, thank you so much for calling in. We
hope you have a great day.

But your game starts right now. Question number one, This
past weekend. What popular Tennessee musician fought Logan Paul at
WWE's SummerSlam. Oh god, it's a friend of the river
over here. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
All right, you're gonna pass on that one. It was
jelly roll.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
Yeah, that's okay, that's okay. You still got two more questions.
Speaker 5 (19:27):
You gotta get the next two right to get the tickets, okay.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Lindsay Lowan and Jamie Lee Curtis are reuniting in theaters
this weekend for the long awaited sequel to What two
thousand and three.
Speaker 5 (19:36):
Movie Freaky Friday. Yeah, there we go.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
We got a point on the board.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
That was the worst bell I've ever.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
Heard in my life.
Speaker 5 (19:46):
Brookeing, there we go.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
You get this one, right, you win. Lady Gaga has
a new song on the way for What Netflix show.
Here's a hint. She's also a cast member in this
upcoming season. Oh god, Ricky, I think part of this
hits Netflix today?
Speaker 6 (20:05):
Is that right?
Speaker 5 (20:06):
It is?
Speaker 4 (20:06):
Today's the day that part one comes out of this series?
Speaker 3 (20:11):
Ricky?
Speaker 2 (20:12):
I think that I think it's a named after a
day of the week, right, It's named after possibly.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
The name day Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Congratulations of ahead. Yeah, we're feeling very generous. Congratulations, you're
going to see the weekend.
Speaker 8 (20:30):
Thank you, Yay, thank you, You're so welcome.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
Hang on the line, love, We got to get your info.
Speaker 8 (20:35):
Okay, thank you.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
We just you know, sometimes we want to help these
folks out a little bit. We have more of the
tickets tomorrow, three days.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
You need to know just after.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Eight o'clock on this Wednesday morning. Thank you for being here.
Ricky Sanchez has those three things.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
The nominees for MTVS VMAs are out. Lady Gaga was
the most nominated artist.
Speaker 5 (20:54):
For the twenty twenty five VMS. It's twelve nods.
Speaker 4 (20:57):
Following her is Bruno Mars with eleven in Kendrick Lamar
with ten. Up for Best New Artists are Alex Warren,
Ella Langley, Gigi Perez, Lola Young, Somber and The Marias.
Speaker 5 (21:08):
That one's gonna be a tough Catgar because they're all amazing.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
They also have two new categories this year, Best Country
and Best Pop Artist. The VMA Ceremony is happening September seventh,
and it's gonna air on CBS, MTV and Paramount Plus
for you to watch. The Naked Gun is a hit
on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie stars Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson.
It's currently sitting at ninety percent on Rotten Tomatoes based
(21:33):
on two hundred and thirty two reviews, so this is
really good. The critics consensus on the site notes that
the Naked Gun revives the original trilogy's quote dappy sense
of humor, like it never went out of style. So
this means we may actually get another Naked Gun as well,
so we'll see fingers crossed obviously. This is also the
reason why everybody's obsessive Liam Niesson and Pamela Anderson right now,
(21:55):
because they are so cute on screen and off and
they're dating now.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
It's just it's such a great story. I'd love to
hear it.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
And Eighth and a Rose Coffee co is the official
coffee of the Tennessee Titans.
Speaker 5 (22:08):
The deal will begin this.
Speaker 4 (22:09):
Season and continue after into the new Nissan Stadium when
it opens. Eighth and Row CEO Ed Reed called the
deal with the Titans quote a major milestone for the
coffee company.
Speaker 5 (22:19):
I love this.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
I hope they.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
Continue this trend of having all these local businesses be
a part of the stadium and the team because that
is what Nashville is all about. I'mrichy Sanchez, and those
are the three things you need to know.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
One O seven five The River, Ricky, Zach and Meno
in the Morning's.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
One oh seven five the River.
Speaker 3 (22:36):
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Our question for you right now, would you pay to
go to a wedding? I know weddings are expensive in general,
but like, if you had to buy a ticket to
go to a wedding, would you go?
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (22:46):
We heard a story what happened exactly in this situation, Zach.
Speaker 6 (22:50):
Okay, So here's the tea about the wedding.
Speaker 7 (22:51):
Apparently you could pay fifty seven dollars to go to
the wedding and the reception, or you could pay nine
hundred and ninety seven dollars, So almost a thousand bucks
for two tickets to a three day experience including the
wedding plus the uh pre and post nuptial events.
Speaker 6 (23:06):
So would you pay to go to this wedding?
Speaker 3 (23:10):
That's insane to me, But I don't know.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
We'll get it six one five, seven, three seven nine,
one oh seven. We all have our own opinions. If
you don't pay, if you don't buy the ticket, you're
not paying to No one.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
Yeah you're not here.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
Yeah, it's not a donation, it's a it's a ticket
that yet you gotta buy. Would you do it?
Speaker 8 (23:26):
Six?
Speaker 2 (23:27):
One five seven, three seven nine, one oh seven Leedison
Rey stand on this one oh seven five the River.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
Rickie, Zach and Menno in the morning, Amber.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
And Hendersonville, welcome to one oh seven five the River.
Would you pay to go to a wedding where your
ticket would cost fifty seven dollars to be at the
wedding and the reception?
Speaker 9 (23:44):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 6 (23:46):
Oh oh that was a wow.
Speaker 7 (23:48):
No.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
What if it was like a really good friend or
a family member, if they don't have.
Speaker 9 (23:52):
The money to throw a wedding like that and they
need to for something tapered?
Speaker 5 (23:56):
Okay, Amber, are you married?
Speaker 1 (23:58):
I am?
Speaker 4 (23:59):
So you know how expense of weddings can get. So
you've already been through the struggle and you made it work.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
I have and we did.
Speaker 9 (24:05):
Me and my husband paid for our own wedding and
everything else together, minus my mother being the angel that
she isn't buying my dress. Our wedding was about two
thousand dollars.
Speaker 4 (24:16):
WHOA, I'm gonna need your tips and tricks because I
can't get anywhere under forty k oh, what kind of
coupon did you have?
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (24:25):
God, that is a steel good for you.
Speaker 9 (24:28):
It was a lot of hand crashing and a lot
of playing on my part, Like I made a lot
of things for our wedding and we literally we did
like food trays from Walmart and our cake was from
Sam's and it was phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
That's all you need. I mean, wedding culture has just
gotten so crazy, and I'm sure.
Speaker 9 (24:47):
You guys had a like, if you truly love that
person and you really just want to be with them,
you will make the wedding work. It doesn't have to
be some extravagant one hundred thousand dollars wedding r Like
if you have the money for that, great, But if
you don't, Yeah, they worked with what you thought.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Don't beat yourself up over it. Okay, Amber, thank you
for calling. That's refreshing to hear that from you, so
thank you.
Speaker 8 (25:09):
You're alsome.
Speaker 5 (25:10):
Have a great day, love.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
I will say the details of this particular story were
referencing are.
Speaker 4 (25:14):
A little I think they have a lot of rich friends.
Speaker 5 (25:18):
Yeah, okay, I'm going to.
Speaker 4 (25:19):
Put it that way to start, Because they ended up
breaking even on their wedding. They didn't say how much
they spent on the wedding, but they broke even on
what they spent.
Speaker 5 (25:29):
So they made all that money back, and on top
of it, they had one.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
Hundred and thirty two thousand dollars remaining that went to charity.
Speaker 7 (25:36):
How many people were at your money wedding? It had
to be like a five hundred person wedding.
Speaker 4 (25:41):
It had to be huge, and I had to be
filled with a bunch of rich people, because this is insane.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
I mean, I will say there's like a silent auction
as well, since I get charity gallop more than a wedding.
Speaker 5 (25:51):
It was both for.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
Sure, because they made their money back, they didn't spend
anything on their on their wedding, and then on top
of it, it ended.
Speaker 5 (25:58):
Up the rest of it went to charity. So I
guess it's nice that they didn't keep.
Speaker 4 (26:01):
The one hundred and thirty two thousand dollars, but kind
of crazy that that's what's left.
Speaker 6 (26:08):
I mean, I.
Speaker 7 (26:08):
Will say though, like whenever you think about a guess
paying fifty seven dollars to go to a wedding and reception.
Speaker 6 (26:13):
That includes food.
Speaker 7 (26:14):
If you go out to dinner by yourself. It's going
to be more than fifty seven dollars.
Speaker 5 (26:18):
Very sure.
Speaker 6 (26:18):
Yeah, So I'm like, it's not that bad of a deal.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
But you are already paying for so many things when
it comes to a wedding, you know, and especially if
you're traveling, you have to probably get yourself some clothes.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
So what you guys are saying is that if I
charge you guys to go to my wedding, you're not coming. No,
this actually might be the way to not get people
to come to my wedding.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
What would you charge me? Let me think about it.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
I will charge probably what the plate costs. So whatever
the plate was is what I would charge.
Speaker 6 (26:43):
So I think that's really say it's like sixty.
Speaker 5 (26:45):
Five bucks, seventy bucks, that's probably what I would charge.
Speaker 6 (26:48):
Okay, I would pay that way. I'm paying for my
own dinner.
Speaker 5 (26:51):
That's it.
Speaker 4 (26:51):
Yeah cool, nothing more, nothing extra. But then you guys
pay for the dinner, and then I don't have.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
To I feel like I would I have to deduct
it from the gift though.
Speaker 5 (26:59):
Oh oh cheat, now, oh my god.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Ricky, Zach and Menno. In the morning, we are.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
About to play the daily double tap here on one
O seven five The River and a second ago, Ricky
said this one reminded her of Zach. We're not getting
into that cycle again where we play daily double taps
inspired by I hope not.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
I just I saw this one. I thought it was
hilarious and I went, oh my god.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
It's literally Zach.
Speaker 6 (27:25):
This is dressed like crazy. To me, I feel like
it's your favorite hobby.
Speaker 5 (27:28):
My fault that you can't pronounce words.
Speaker 6 (27:30):
It's your favorite hobby.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
Words are hard sometimes, and that's okay, it's all right.
It just reminded me of you. So this guy is
just kind of, you know, ragging on his friend as
you can't say words.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
Right, all right, here we go.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Today's daily double tap keeps insisting that he's saying whole
foods correct, little foods.
Speaker 6 (27:45):
It's a whole food He.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Keeps insisting that he's saying whole foods correct lit coble foods.
Speaker 6 (27:50):
It's a whole foods.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
What is wrong with that?
Speaker 7 (27:53):
It's cool foods, full foods. You're going the same thing
as you're so confused.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
You're going whole foods.
Speaker 6 (28:01):
It's whole food, whole foods. Emphasis on the whole whole
foods it's so confused, Like.
Speaker 4 (28:08):
This is literally Zach in every way, shape or the forms.
Speaker 6 (28:12):
You're emphasizing the foods when you shouldn't be.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
This upsets me when people do this.
Speaker 6 (28:17):
Okay, but here's the thing. Red Bull red Bull, it's not.
Speaker 5 (28:22):
It's kind of like the same thing, Like it's supposed
to be red bull.
Speaker 7 (28:24):
Okay, but you're just saying that it's supposed to be
that way. How do we know it's actually supposed to
be that way?
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Because you know they have every It's the way they
pronoun the company. It's the way the company pronounces it.
Speaker 7 (28:35):
Or maybe I just say things the way I want
to say them, like red Bull and Whole Foods.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
My son says PEPSI like he goes off on the sea.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
It sounds like he's.
Speaker 7 (28:47):
Pronouncing yeah, you can say however you want, sure, Yeah,
Whole Foods.
Speaker 5 (28:56):
I like it.
Speaker 6 (28:57):
I like it now that I.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
Know that it makes me mad and five the
Speaker 1 (29:00):
River ky Zach and Manno in the morning,
