Leonardo DiCaprio made his first podcast appearance and he shared
what his stage name almost was. Celeo was on the
latest episode of New Heights podcast with Jason and Travis Kelce.
Turns out that at one point, when he was about
twelve years old, he considered changing his name to Lenny Williams.
His first agent said DiCaprio was too ethnic and no
(00:28):
one would hire him.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Wow, and then donned him Lenny Williams.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
But his dad, Leonardo DiCaprio's dad, was like, absolutely not,
we are not doing that. And thank god because there's
no other Leonardo DiCaprio out there that like, just it
fits him, it makes sense.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
I'm glad they stuck with it.

kind of vibe.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
But I will say that there's just something about asking
the people that work there for advice on pieces too.
When I worked retail, that was my favorite part of
the job was being able to put together outfits and
make people feel good about what they were wearing.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
So while like this is cool, I feel like I
have a conversation with the sales.
Speaker 3 (01:37):

You would rather talk to a smart rac It makes sense.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
Right, thank you for the honesty.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Satisfying enough for you, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
I think we all just wanted to paint the picture
of who we were talking to.
Speaker 6 (04:52):
See we all disappointed.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
No, nobody's disappointed. Dan. I think it's amazing that you're
going to the gym. Kevin's being a wee dude. I
don't know why he's like fantasizing about you right now.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
All right, hang on, this gout weird. I didn't make
it weird. Uh Dan, We're gonna put you on hold.
Speaker 6 (05:10):
It's a little weird.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
Hold on, buddy, hold on. We have more of this
stick at the same time tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (05:16):
One seven Ricky, Zach and Menno in the morning.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
It's one o seven to five the River.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
We are very excited about something that we're about to
play here on the River. We recorded a phone call
yesterday with one of Ricky's childhood idols.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Marnie Cromwell. I was so excited to talk to her
from Halloween Town.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Yeah still to this day, like a Halloween tradition for
I watch every yample.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Yeah, I watched it every year.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
So I got to tell her how excited I was
to actually have a conversation with her and to talk
to the Marnie from Halloween Town that I watch every
year like a little child on my couch, talk about fangirling.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
She did it. She did it.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Kim Brown is the actress's name. Kim has been a
friend of mine for a long time, so I knew
Ricky loved this movie. So we got Kim on. We
will hear that. Next right after Miles.
Speaker 5 (05:59):
Smith on the River, Ricky is Zach and Manno in
the morning.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
On first off, I need to say thank you to
Kevin because Kevin set up this call with one of
my childhood heroes and I cannot explain to you the
excitement that I feel right now being able to have
this experience.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
So thank you, Ken.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
You are so welcome. Ricky, I'm so have you I
could make this happen. But Kim Brown is an actress.
She's a friend of mine.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
She was in the Halloween Town movies, which those are
Ricky's favorite Halloween movies.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
She watches him every year, still.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Still to this day, every year. The first time I
watched with Wine.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Yeah yesterday when we when we got off the air,
we recorded a phone call with Kim and here is
some of that call. Ricky talking to fangirling over one
of her childhood idols.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
I'm not kidding you when I say all I wanted
to do was be Marty Cromwell, That's all I wanted
in life.
Speaker 9 (06:53):
Oh my gosh, that is amazing. Thank you. That's that's
the biggest honor I could have never imagined. And all
those years ago that we would still be here talking
about the movies and people would still be enjoying them.
It's just it's so awesome. I meet families over the
years that I have kind of grown up with it
and introduced it to their kids, and it's just it's astounding.
(07:16):
I meet people who buy Marnie Piper costumes on you
for Halloween. Now, it's amazing. So thank you so much
for being a part of that.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
I've known Kim for a long time. I know how
much this movie resonates with people. I don't even want
to say it's a cult following, because I feel like
everywhere you go, everybody knows this movie.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
It's just it's a.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
Very popular Halloween movie that people watch every single year.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
Kim, do you know that, you guys?
Speaker 2 (07:39):
I mean, I just looked it up while we're talking
about it. It has an eighty three percent Rotten Tomatoes score.
That's pretty damn good.
Speaker 11 (07:45):
That is good.
Speaker 12 (07:46):
I didn't know that.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
Yeah, now we need another Halloween Town. I'm sure you
get that.
Speaker 9 (07:50):
Hey, I only agree with you. I do, literally, I mean,
almost every day people ask me and I would love
to do another one. We all would. Disney knows that.
I'm totally down for another one. But like I say,
the ball is in their proverbial court. It is wild
to me, it's up to them at this point.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
In this day, all this nostalgia coming back. Everything is
a sequel and a prequel, and it's all this ip everything,
you know what I mean? How is this not happened yet?
Speaker 7 (08:17):
I don't know.
Speaker 9 (08:18):
The fans certainly would love to see, yeah, what we're
all up to these days. And you know, with the
portal being open whenever we want, the possibilities are very endless.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
I do want to point out you're doing something with
our mutual friend Lacey Shaver, aren't you.
Speaker 9 (08:33):
Yeah, we have a movie coming out on Homework Channel
next month. It's called haul Out the Halloween and it's
the third in the movie series that Lacey started with
West Brown and Ellen Travolta called haul Out the Holly. Yeah,
and the first two movies were centered around the Christmas season.
And I play a new neighbor that moves into the
(08:55):
neighborhood with my husband Daniel, who was also in Halloween Town. Yeah,
we are the new neighbors that introduce kind of bring
Halloween into the neighborhood.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
That is so kinds of fun.
Speaker 9 (09:06):
Things and you know fun Hyjenson too. I love that's
coming out next month. Yeah, we're excited.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
I love that you stick with the spooky theme as
a spooky gowl myself.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
That makes me very happy.
Speaker 9 (09:17):
Hey, I have loved Halloween truly since I was a kid,
so it's I mean, my inner child just loves all
of this every year.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Oh, this makes me so happy. I'm feeling so nostalgic right.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Now, Like I'm just yeah, like I just feel good
talking about this.
Speaker 9 (09:33):
I love that. I think it's you know, it's it's
hard enough and weird enough being an adult these days.
I think it's so important to grab onto our inner
child when we can. And I'm so touched that Halloween
Town now does that for so many people over the years,
so many people really cool.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Well, haul Out the Halloween is coming premiere Saturday, October
eleventh on Hallmark.
Speaker 4 (09:54):
Kim, We're all gonna watch it.
Speaker 9 (09:55):
Thank you for your time, Hey, Kevin, have a great
resk to your day, guys, and happy how.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Yes Halloween.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
Bank you.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
I can't believe I just got to talk to Marni.
Oh it makes me so Hockey three.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Things past seven o'clock on this Thursday morning, Thank you
so much for starting your day with us.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
Ricky Sanchez has those three things.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
MNPs middle schools will install weapons detection systems. The Board
of Education voted unanimously this week to approve a pilot
program that's similar to the one that they rolled out
in the district's high schools last year after the Antioch
school shooting that took place. Installation will start in the
middle schools after fall break, so mid October very soon.
(10:38):
The plan is to implement the systems in two schools
per week, so that will start very soon. Something to
keep in mind for your middle schoolers here in Davidson County.
The next class of astronauts have more women than men
for the first time in NASA history.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
This is amazing.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
Ten scientists, engineers, and test pilots were chosen for more
than eight applicants to help explore the Moon and possibly
Mars at some point. So the six women and four
men were They're all going to undergo rigorous training for
the next two years before they're actually eligible for spaceflight.
This is the twenty fourth astronaut class for NASA since
(11:17):
the original Mercury seven made their debut in nineteen fifty nine.
The previous class was in twenty twenty one, so this
is all really cool stuff. We will keep an eye
on this obviously, as they you know, end up exploring
new things.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
It's not just very one of them. She is not
She's not okay, No no.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
I said.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
Ten scientists, engineers, and tests pilots were chosen. So Nope

(12:14):
channel dot com when it comes out.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
Ricky Sanchez and those are the three things you need
to know.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
Thank you so much, Ricky.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
There's Benson Boone getting back into the music right after
this song.
Speaker 4 (12:23):
It's time to learn classes in session.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
Professor Woodward is standing by Zach's FACTX next down the.
Speaker 5 (12:29):
River, Ricky, Zach and Mennow in the morning on the.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
River, everybody put your thinking hats on. It's time for
Zach Spax on one o seven five the River.
Speaker 8 (12:38):
This one is really cute. I think it's gonna make
your day. Do you know what a baby rabbit is called?
Instead of a cutie petuity called, they're called kits k
I t s kind of like kittens.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
Did you actually think they were called cutie patuto?
Speaker 4 (12:51):
I call them? Look at that little cut.
Speaker 8 (12:55):
I kind of like, well, there's your factor today. You
can call them whichever when you want, kid or qutie Patudi.
Speaker 5 (13:01):
Thang Zach Erricki, Zach and Meno in the morning on
one oh seven five the River.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
If you have been subjected to these junior senior pranks
that are happening all around middle Tennessee right now, we
want to hear from you. It's one oh seven five
the River. Our friend Battle, he does the morning show
on one of five nine in the Rock.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
He came into.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
Our studio telling us this crazy story about these kids
who just like stop by his house and like head
and threw things all over his yard and just I
guess it's part of a prank that they're doing.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Yep, and this is apparently happening all over Middle Tennessee.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
I feel like the pranks are escalating beyond where they
were when when I was, when we were younger.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
Yeah, six, one, five, seven, three, seven nine, one oh seven.
If you can relate to this at all, if you
have any stories of these junior senior high school pranks,
we would love to hear them.
Speaker 5 (13:51):
Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning on one oh
seven five the River.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
There are a lot of junior senior pranks happening right
now throughout Middle Tennessee. Our buddy Battle on one of
five nine of the Rock. He lives in Gallatin area,
and he his house got hit by the junior senior pranks.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
Yeah, and it kind of got a little bit out
of hands, vandalized. Kids are taking it really far at.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
This school, probably too far. Any kids out there listen
and don't.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Like a little dramatic.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
But Megan and Bellevue, welcome to one oh seven five
the River. When you were a senior, you said that
you did a junior senior prank.
Speaker 12 (14:25):
So I didn't do one, but the class did, and
it was at my high school. Everybody hated the baseball
team because they were kind of moody. So what they
did was they cemented a tree into the home. The
pictures sound then when the baseball coach got there, he
couldn't get it out, and it was so funny.
Speaker 8 (14:47):
But also, now you're vandalizing school property. I feel like
that's like a felony.
Speaker 12 (14:53):
Yeah. I don't think they found out who did it,
but it was pretty legendary at our school.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
I'm no.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Because okay, yes, Megan, you're right, that's a little too far,
a little too far.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Zach, you're also correct. I think that's.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Actually fair school property.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
So I don't want to like encourage anyone who's in
high school to do things like that. But oh my god,
is that impressive.
Speaker 6 (15:17):
Pretty iconic.
Speaker 12 (15:19):
I mean, like with the concrete to harden, I don't
even know how they did.
Speaker 6 (15:23):
It, but.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
Like the dedication, the commitment to the bit. We always
talk about it on Ricky Zachamanno in the morning. We
love commitment to the bit.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
They had to sit there and wait for that to
hearden and have a plan set in place.
Speaker 9 (15:36):
That's in the baseball Deserved it so.
Speaker 4 (15:40):
Wow, Maggie, thank you for sharing. This is uh again,
we don't condone it, but that's a great one.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Thank you, Thank you, have a great day.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
Love six three seven nine one o seven.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
If maybe they hit your house or if you were
involved in one when you were in.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
School, We're also going to see if Battle has some
time to tell us exactly what they did to his house, because.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
They really did take it over the top.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
It was too much.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Let us know if you've been involved in what we
want to We've been talking about senior pranks. Apparently there's
like a whole surge happening around Middle Tennessee. Right now,
we have Ashley and Mount Juliet on the phone, and
you can relate to this.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
A friend of yours has been hit a lot.
Speaker 7 (16:18):
So do you want to know the school or not?
Speaker 1 (16:20):
Yeah, you can tell us the school.
Speaker 7 (16:21):
Okay, so well maybe I should it anyway, multiple times.
The first time was barbecue sauce and mustard and eggs,
so eggs on the roof, and then barbecue sauce, then
mustard all over the front of the house, all over
the driveway, all over their cars. So then flipped to
(16:42):
the The next time they got hit. They did get
caught and they were putting syrup and well different kinds
of like ice cream syrups all over their front porch,
all over their driveway, strawberry and chocolates and all that mess.
So my question is what are the kids doing and
where do they get the money to buy all this?
Speaker 11 (17:01):
Were like wrapping.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
Ranch And all right, Ashley, thank you for calling in.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
We appreciate you, and we hope they're from don't have
to deal with this ever.
Speaker 7 (17:10):
Again, Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Battle from one five nine in the Rock.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
He just walked into the studio because he knows that
we're talking about his house getting hit by these pranks.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
What exactly happened? Like what did they do? Because I
remember you telling us.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
And all of our jaws were on the ground, but
I want you to explain exactly what happened to your house?
Speaker 10 (17:27):
Yes, so, uh, we watched it all all the cameras, right,
and uh, they there's like maybe four or five of
them and they walk up and they just start throwing
stuff in the driveway. Come to find out, it was
cottage cheese, two dead fish, and a diaper. There's a
couple of diapers there right?
Speaker 1 (17:43):
Oh were they used japers.
Speaker 10 (17:45):
They looked used, but I couldn't really tell. Maybe they
put chocol pudding in exactly obviously being a prank, right.
But the thing that really disappointed me was the execution
of everything because when I watched the video, which by
the way, if you want to see, it's on my Instagram.
At Battle all on here, they threw toilet paper and
I don't know if it was a guy or a girl,
but it looks like the toilet paper hit them and
(18:07):
then they just left it there and the front of
my driveway like.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
There's like one little strand of toilet paper hanging from
a tree, and I'm mad. Guys, you have access.
Speaker 10 (18:17):
To YouTube, TikTok Instagram, Like, surely there's a video on
how the.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
TP house it's job.
Speaker 10 (18:28):
That's that's my only downfall is I don't care that
I got ranked, it's just they they did not execute.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
It very well.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Well.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Battle, We appreciate you coming in here and sharing your
story with us and plugging your Instagram.
Speaker 4 (18:38):
You have a great call, Okay, Ricky, Zach and.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
Meno in the morning, one of your friends.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
Jealous by winning Kevin Manno's Game of the Day presented
by Genesis diamonds on one O seven five the River,
because if you win today, you're hitting tickets to the loss.
Americannotur with MGK. He's going to be a bridge on
arena December sixteenth. We're playing Name that Tune plus for
the tickets.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
Yeah, name that tune plus. It's name that tune.
Speaker 10 (19:02):
You know.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
You gotta just identify the song, and then the plus
represents a trivia question about the artists that you previously identified.
Speaker 4 (19:09):
We'll give you the audio clue here in a second.
I couldn't tell if today's was easier.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Hard Ricky and Zach both knew it immediately, but they
had trouble identifying the song.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
Well, yeah we knew the artist.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
Yeah, not the song exactly. But you gotta tell us
a song to give you the clue. Then you call
six one five seven, three seven nine one oh seven.
If you can pass both points of entry here, the
identification and the trivia question, the MGK tickets.
Speaker 4 (19:33):
Are years yours.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Excuse me, here we go today's audio clue. You ready,
let's do it. That's all you get one second the
beginning of a song.
Speaker 4 (19:41):
I'll play it one more time.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
If you can identify that six five seven three seven nine,
one oh seven.
Speaker 5 (19:47):
It's game for Ricky, Zach and Meno in the morning.
Ondk is coming to town.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
He's going to be a bridge shown Arena December sixteenth.
If you win Kevin Maato's Game of the Day on
one oh seven five the River, you're getting ticket to go.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
He's created a new one this week.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
It's name that tune plus So it's a little harder
than name that tune, but people have been doing.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Okay, so far, so good.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
Yeah, we're gonna say good morning to Brinn Brendan, Mount Juliet.
Speaker 4 (20:11):
Welcome to the river.
Speaker 6 (20:12):
How are you good?
Speaker 11 (20:13):
How are y'all work?
Speaker 4 (20:15):
Complaints? Yeah, you seem kind of nervous right now, Brian,
I am, yes.
Speaker 6 (20:20):
I'm every morning.
Speaker 11 (20:21):
And this is the one that like I knew all
I knew, Katy Perry, I don't know a lot about Brunomars.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
So oh okay, Well, I'm haven't even played the clue
a second time. Let's do that again and then we'll
get your guests. Here we go. You did just say
an artist name a second ago, Brynn.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
Can you name that tune?
Speaker 2 (20:38):
Yes, Ma, you're halfway there. You don't know much about
Bruno Mars. So this might be a challenge, but hopefully
you know this. Here is your trivia question. You get
this right, the tickets to see MGK or yours? Brin
Bruno Mars grew up in what state?
Speaker 12 (20:57):
Oh god, I don't know why.
Speaker 6 (21:02):
I want to say Chicago.
Speaker 10 (21:04):
But that's not my final that's also not a say
so like.
Speaker 9 (21:11):
Hawaii.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
Yeah, we're gonna take it as a final answer.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
Nice job, oh nicef Congratulations, Rin, you're gonna go see
m g K.
Speaker 11 (21:24):
Hey, thank you guys so much.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
You're very so nervous, and look how it all worked out.
Speaker 11 (21:30):
I know I saw him at River on the roof
top and I love him.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
Hey, we're hear the top.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
He was phenomenal and this is gonna be even more
amazing because obviously it's a full show. You're gonna see
just him doing all of his songs and it's gonna
be great.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
So congratulations, Thank you guys so much.
Speaker 8 (21:47):
Kevin does a really good MGK impression. Do you want
to tell a congratulations.
Speaker 4 (21:52):
Ricky, I'm not gonna do it. I'm not gonna do
we don't have time. I'm not gonna do it.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
Bring hang on, Ricky would murder me if I did it,
she hates it. But hang on and there's more of
these tickets, same time tomorrow, same game.
Speaker 4 (22:04):
Be here to play for tickets to see MGK. Yo
here Yo, it's me the same GK. It's just yo, Yo.
What's up? I got a baby with Mega Fox. Three Things? Yes, Yes,
thank you for being here.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
Friends, appreciate you starting to day with us over here
at the river. Ricky Sanchez has your three Things.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
Yesterday I shared that five seconds the Summer was teasing
something what looked like a comeback to music. Today, I
can tell you that the countdown on their website announced
a new song, not Okay, which is out now. Here's
a little clip of that if you haven't heard it yet.
Speaker 13 (22:35):
Okay, I'm a fan.
Speaker 6 (22:51):
Like that.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
I'm a fan.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
And they have an album coming November fourteenth, called Everyone's
a Star. Singer and guitarist Luke Hemming said that the
song has the older five seconds of summer energy, but
it's different, which is the whole emo of this chapter.
So after a bit of a hiatus and them all
exploring their own solo gigs, this is their six full
length album that's going to be coming out. By five
(23:14):
seconds of Summer has twelve tracks and it's set to
show off the fact that each of them are very
multitalented and everyone's a star. So I'm really excited for
the full album because Not Okay has a sound that
I was not expecting and I'm hyped about it. So
November fourteenth is when we can expect the full album.
Reader's Digest has named a Pigeon Forge diner as the
most iconic in Tennessee.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Each state on the list had.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
One diner chosen, and Tennessee's most iconic diner went to
Mel's Diner. The family friendly retro spot in Pigeon Forge
is known for their banana splits. You can get with
either three or six scoops of ice cream in them,
depending on you know what you're looking for. But congrats
to mel Diner. That's really exciting. And this is super exciting,
(23:57):
specifically for Zach. We're getting more Hallmark movies on Netflix
after the company has announced another deal.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
So this deal is even bigger than the last.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
There's gonna be new content brought to Netflix in the
US and also going to bring Hallmark's iconic holiday movies
to Netflix.
Speaker 8 (24:13):
I live for a Hallmark Holiday movie.
Speaker 13 (24:15):
I know you did.
Speaker 8 (24:16):
It has to star like Vanessa Hudgens, like all of
the the icons.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
So what you can expect.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
The first two seasons of Hallmarks the Way Home series
is going to be on Netflix next month.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
There's also going.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
To be a season three following in February, and a
season four in twenty twenty six. And there's going to
be a bunch of Valentine's State themes that are going
to be put on there as well those movies. But
there's going to be a lot more Hallmark on Netflix.
So Zach's got his Saturday booked up.
Speaker 8 (24:43):
I'm so excited about this. You have no idea that
makes my little soul so happy.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
I'm Ricky Sanchez And those are the three things.
Speaker 5 (24:49):
You need to know for Ricky, Zach and Meno in
the Morning, one seven five.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
The River, there are some practical gifts for when someone
moves into their apartment. It's Turkey, Zach and Mano in
the Morning on one oh seven five, wherever.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Zach needs some help.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
He doesn't understand what practical means when it comes to
gifts or buying things or anything like that, so we
need to give him some advice on some practical gifts
for someone in an apartment who doesn't have anything.
Speaker 8 (25:13):
Yeah, my little brother just got his very first apartment,
and I'm like, what do I buy him to like
help ease the move in process?
Speaker 13 (25:20):
Nothing?
Speaker 4 (25:20):
He has literally nothing.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
I'm glad that you're coming to us and not just
buying him something that's super weird and unnecessary.
Speaker 8 (25:25):
Well, TikTok shop and does really bad things to me,
so I had to come to you first.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Like a six hundred dollars plant or something like that.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
Six seven three seven nine one oh seven. Put yourself
in those shoes. You just moved into your first apartment.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
What's a good practical gift? Let us know what you think.
Speaker 5 (25:42):
It's the Ricky Zach and Menno in the morning.
Speaker 12 (25:44):
On the River.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
You needs some practical gift ideas for someone moving into
their apartment.
Speaker 8 (25:50):
Yeah, my little brother just got his very first apartment.
He has absolutely nothing, So I'm like, what would be
practical for him to like actually be able to get.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
By Tiffany in Portland, Welcome to one oh seven five
the River. What's a good gift A practical gift for
someone who just got their first apartment A vacuum?
Speaker 4 (26:06):
He need vacuums. Good yet, that is actually a really
good idea.
Speaker 8 (26:11):
But also I think you're overestimating the fact that you
think my little brother's gonna vacuate.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
Maybe a rumba or something that he doesn't have to do.
You know, that's a good idea. That way, it'll just
do it on its own.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
I like this idea.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
I think that is very practical and a great start. Tiffany,
thank you so much for calling in.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Christina and Franklin, Welcome to the river. What's a practical
gift for somebody just moving into their first apartment?
Speaker 11 (26:36):
Hey, So, I would definitely do groceries because that is
the number one thing I hate doing when I move
is filling the fridge in the pantry. So I definitely
would do something like that.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
I would have never thought about that, but that's so smart.
Speaker 4 (26:49):
I don't know what he eats.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
Maybe like a gift card for grocery, that's what I'm saying,
Kroger gift card would be great.
Speaker 11 (26:54):
That would even work too. Yeah, absolutely, but depending on
how old he is too, because I have a twenty
two year old brother and I would not trust him
in a grocery store to actually get for him to eat.
Speaker 4 (27:03):
That's fair.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
What a solid point.
Speaker 11 (27:07):
But yeah, I think that'd be a good one. Other
than that, I mean, if he doesn't have any furniture, man,
and maybe a mattress.
Speaker 8 (27:13):
Girl, If you think I'm spending that much money on
him to get a mattress, you're talking to the.
Speaker 11 (27:19):
Six plant earlier.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
Well like that because they're not practical, and they'll be like,
you need this plant in your home.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
It just fits perfectly. But he is not going to
buy the mattress.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
We appreciate you, of course.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Morning, Kevin, I have to ask you. I'm gonna give
you two choices here.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
When Zach and I were talking about this, he had
a choice that he thought was a practical gift, and
I had a choice.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
You need to tell me which one you think is
more practical. Okay, I'm ready.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
Do you think it's more practical to buy somebody who
has nothing in their apartment?
Speaker 1 (27:54):
Pots and pants or silverware?
Speaker 9 (27:57):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (27:57):
Man, silverware for sure for me, because I don't cook,
but I eat all the time.
Speaker 1 (28:02):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (28:03):
Yeah, well that's because you don't cook, yeah exactly.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
Zach literally was like, silverware sounds dumb. That's a dumb idea.
Why would I buy silverware, I'm gonna buy and pots
and pans, and what is he gonna eat the food with?
Speaker 1 (28:15):
If he doesn't have.
Speaker 8 (28:15):
Silverware, It's much cheaper for him to buy like plastic
silverware that he can just throw away.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
Why endorsing plastic hair for the environ? Yeah, thank you?
Speaker 4 (28:23):
Okay, But he then what is he gonna cook? Need
them to order every single meal out?
Speaker 1 (28:29):
I'm sure he'll probably order as opposed to cooking for himself.
Speaker 4 (28:32):
I don't think so. Pots and pans, pins.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
I feel like pots and pants is something you might
want to pick out yourself.
Speaker 4 (28:38):
You think so, They're just pots and pants.
Speaker 8 (28:40):
You just throw stuff in them.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
Let's see what other people have to say about these ideas.
Let's see what other people want and.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
Think that you should buy as a practical gift. Six
on five seven, three seven nine, one O seven.
Speaker 5 (28:52):
Ricky, Zach and Mano in the Morning.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
On It's Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning. On
one O seven five the River.
Speaker 3 (28:59):
We've got Ashley Clark's all on the line. Good morning, Ashley,
good morning. What do you think is a nice practical
gift for someone who moves into a new apartment that
doesn't have anything.
Speaker 7 (29:08):
My favorite is to find one that like, they don't
realize they need until.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
They need it.
Speaker 12 (29:13):
So I like to stock people's spice cabinets.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
Oh that is such a good idea.
Speaker 12 (29:19):
So you know, cooking and all of a sudden you
need paprika or something and I don't have it.
Speaker 8 (29:23):
And you can do that rather inexpensively, so you just
go to the spy stile and just get one of everything.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
Wow, our listeners are so much smarter than we are
because these are really great ideas that everybody keeps giffing.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
Thank you so much, Ashley. We reappreciate it.
Speaker 12 (29:38):
I have a great day you too.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
The only time we ever go to the spice stor
is like if my mom's in town at our house
and she's cooking and she's like, Kevin, do you have paprika?
Speaker 4 (29:44):
And I'm like, yeah, here it is. It expired in
nineteen ninety two.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
Here do you spice your food?
Speaker 5 (29:49):
Do you not?
Speaker 1 (29:50):
He doesn't.
Speaker 3 (29:50):
I don't cook, but like when you do cook, because
sometimes you do, you just don't spice it.
Speaker 4 (29:55):
He boils noodles ding ding.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
Oh, I'm gonna have a heart palpitations in a second.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
Tammy in her car driving home from work. What would
you say a practical gift?
Speaker 14 (30:06):
So you use a laundry basket as the container, and
you put a couple of plants to buys because he
is a young boy. There's a maybe some packatilet paper
pack of paper, towels, some abbuprofen, chalino n quill.
Speaker 9 (30:20):
Tammy, I can.
Speaker 8 (30:21):
Tell that your mom, aren't you, yes, because all of
that is extremely practical and something that my mom would
totally buy it.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
Like, here's a little like care package, take care of
you gift.
Speaker 8 (30:30):
Of like make sure you can clean, but also don't
forget the ibuprofen and everything.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
Jury basket genius.
Speaker 6 (30:36):
Yeah, maybe a little towel.
Speaker 8 (30:38):
That's a good idea, Tammy.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
I think you might have just won the day.
Speaker 3 (30:42):
Honestly, Yay, Tammy, we appreciate you so much. That really
is a great idea. And your mom skills are mom
in right now. So we appreciate you and calling in.
Thank you so much for hanging out with us.
Speaker 8 (30:56):
Have a good morning.
Speaker 14 (30:57):
Bye.
Speaker 4 (30:57):
You You don't else you get him?
Speaker 8 (30:59):
Zack is like a like a Netflix subscription or something
that would require him to have a TV.
Speaker 4 (31:04):
Who's gonna buy him a TV? He's got a phone.
I think that was a really bad idea. Kevin a
bad
Speaker 5 (31:13):
Ideas this morning, Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning
on one the river
