Speaker 1 (00:06):
It's going on. Fight fans this said way and I'm
blocked the box and bully and that's right. We're back
with another episode of Ring Champs. So much to talk about.
Atlantic City, board Walk Hall, historic venue. Jeron Boots Ennis
shined as I expected, so we'll get into that. Also,
Hall of Fame weekend this year twenty twenty five, the
(00:27):
pac Man is getting inducted into the Hall of Fame.
We'll talk about the rest of the list. So Jake
Poys teasing a big announcement. Who is jakeing a fight?
We don't know. We'll throw some names out there that
we may suggest, so keep it locked. Let's talk, all right, Brock. First,
just get into the atmosphere at board Walk Court. You
and I have been there for several fights. I haven't
(00:49):
seen this type of energy in a very, very long time.
At Jaron Boots Ennis. He brought Philly out and a
lot of fight fans were in the building, so you know,
big shot of the owner. I worked in the host
position on the broadcast match room. They really did it
up for Jiran and I've always felt that he was
a star in the sport. You know, people have their
(01:10):
speculations because of his last couple opponents, and he was criticized. Now, Barack,
I'd love to get your take on it. In my opinion,
and I said it on a broadcast that I didn't
think the criticism was warranted on his last two outings
because of his style. Gerar boots Innis is a very
skilled fighter meeting. He can use his legs and his
(01:31):
jab and stay away and be more defensive, but we
won't get those explosive type of knockouts and aggressive performances
that people like. So I think that he puts himself
in those positions. When you're in the line of fire
and you want to score big knockouts, you're going to
get hit. Terrence Crawford years ago, at one thirty five,
he was out boxing people easily. They started complaining. Top
(01:53):
ranked people were whispering about it's not exciting. Then he said, okay,
before a gamball, let me start knocking people out. So
he took more risk in the pocket and you're going
to get hit. So I don't think the criticism was
warranted even going into this fight.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Rock, I agree with you.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Unfortunately, we're dealing with a sport that people watch, the
sport with expectations and that's it. Nobody watches basketball and
say I gotta see a certain amount of dunks. But
even in basketball nowadays, people are saying, I don't like
the sport because of these three pointers, you know. So
that's it is what it is. You're gonna come to
a fight with an expectation. And when you got a
guy like Daran Boost and it's that's starkching everybody, they're
(02:31):
gonna expect that. And Chu Kazan was a good, good
opponent and that's it. He heard them dropped them. For me,
that was enough. He dominated that fight and won. That's
enough for me. I never said nothing bad about darn
Innis after that fight, and he just proved last night
the other night that he is on that level where
he needs to be talked about.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Now. I know Eddie's jumping out the window the best
fighter in the world or whatever that comes to.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
The resume, obviously, but that skill set, ye, yes, we
could's somebody like him being the best fighter in the
world someday.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Yeah, And I said it. Eddie also said that he
has cracked that top ten poundful pound list. I'm sorry
with this unification about and that level of performance. I'm
going to have to agree with that. Now, we'll, you know,
we'll we'll drop our Powerful Power list soon and we'll
see if he makes that list. But I'm gonna go
on the record right now saying that I do. I
do feel he deserves to be on the top ten.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
The the problem is that and that's dope that he's
unified and he's absolutely very, very skillful. The problem is
that we're in the error with it's a lot of
skillful guys. People are arguing about who's number one. That
doesn't happen all the time. When Roy Jones was.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Number one, he was number one. When Floyd was number one,
he was number one.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
You know, nowadays people are arguing about who's number one
because you got crawfit and you got in a way,
you got ooh sick, you got all of these guys interchangeable.
So that's story right there. It's only seven left on
the top ten, so it's hard to make that nowadays.
So I understand what Chris mannis is saying, who you're
knocking off? Javonte Davis probably wasn't on the top ten
(04:04):
right now.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Who knows he was on our top He was on
our last top ten.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
Okay, well then maybe him because he got a draw,
but it's still tough because he's been dominant his whole Look,
I'm not.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Saying it's it's an easy a task to change up
that powerful poundless. Obviously we could probably it's probably twenty
guys that could be on the top ten pounderful poundless.
But I feel like Jiron is skilled enough and it's
showing enough to I guess.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
I'm not saying he's not.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
I'm just saying, if we got so many dope guys,
we got a really fine two fine comb this list
and say all right, who you taking off?
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Then yeah, everybody's doing so well right now, no.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Guy would be easy to take off the top ten
pound of poundless. I think let's get into the fight
in stanionis now going into this fight. We know how
aggressive stanionis. Says he has a great left fook, his
peekable style high guard leaves him open into the body
and going into this fight even for I guess for
the last couple of years, I said that Juran Boos
(05:05):
and his top three and body punching in the entire sport.
He because he doesn't only go to the ribs into
the liver. He likes that solar pex uppercut that is
very effective in these fights. And he landed that shot
and I saw it even before the fight. Now, Stanionis
landed some big shots once again, just to touch on
the fact that Jiran stays in the pocket in the
(05:25):
line of fight because he wants to score knockouts. Right,
we knew that Stanionis would land some shots, and he
landed some shots, but Boots showed that he has a
very good shin. But also those shots don't deter him
at all. Right. You know a lot of times when
a guy gets hit with certain shots, but rock even
if he can take the shot, he starts to think twice, okay,
(05:46):
I gotta readjust I don't want to get hit with
those shots. Giran is like, no, all right, I felt
your power. I'm gonna step on the gas a little
bit more and land harder shots to the body and
break you down because I want to end this fight
before the last belt. And that's what he did. I
expected to hit for him to get hit with shots
he fought another champion. This is a unification bot. What
(06:08):
do we think he was not gonna get touched?
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Now?
Speaker 3 (06:10):
First of all, when he was fighting long distance, he
was barely getting hit.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
He wasn't getting hit that much.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Once he decides that I am going to purposely on
my own fight on the inside to make this exciting
and not only make this exciting, but hurt you because
I feel I can hurt you.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
You're gonna get hit inside.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Now, him getting hit with twenty nine power punches is
nothing compared to him hitting and landing twenty sixty.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Five power punches. He knew what he was doing in there.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
Even Javonte Davis takes shots sometimes inside when he feels
like the guy can't punch that hard, and he knows
he can get him out of there, so that makes sense.
Power punchers do that. So he's gonna get hit. What
I saw Saturday night was something like Sugar Ray Leonnart,
somebody who showed you in one fight that he can
box from the outside and make you look silly, play.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Around with you, swing his arm around. He just did.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Spectacular footwork in there, playing around with a top guy
who's undefeated and who was a champion. And then I'm
gonna show you that, just like Sugar Ray Lennet, that
I'm gonna beat in the.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
In the pocket, banging with you, beating you to.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
The punch, making you miss even inside and stop you.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
I gotta I have to agree with that, brock don't.
That's one of the things that stood out to me.
The comfort level. You know, where the fighter getting in
his rhythm right, and it's very comfortable. Generally, you see
that when a guy is levels levels, levels above, whether
it's not you know, a kind of showcase fight or
somebody where you know you're supposed to beat, you get
real cozy and comfortable in it. He's doing that with
(07:47):
inner unification, Baut You're so comfortable, not worried at all.
That confidence level in that performance was outstanding. I don't
care about people on social media saying, well who was
standing on is if you're a casual fan and you
don't know who is that's your That was a world
champion who was undefeated and Duran Boots and it's made
him look average. So yes, I'll double down and saying
(08:07):
that he deserves to be on the pound list. I
don't know where, but we'll talk about that when we
create that list. So what's next for Jeron Boots in
this Baraque? I know the name that you probably thinking
and that every else you know what I'm paint. Well, listen,
I'll take a guess. And if we're talking about one
forty seven, the well toweight division, there's no other person
(08:27):
in that division that I want to see him fight
other than Brian Norman JUNR. That's it now, That, in
my opinion, is not a huge fight. I like Jeron Boots,
and it's moving up to one fifty four and fighting
guys like Ortiz or front Dora or maybe an aerospace
junior on the line. If he comes back and get
his things going, there are the big money fights and
(08:49):
legacy fights at that division. Brian Norman hell of a fighter.
He's a champion. He probably deserves to fight, and I
think it'll be a good competitive fight. But I think
in terms it's a business. If I put my manager
and promoter hat on, I don't think he should stay
at one forty seven and fight Norman. That's my opinion.
I want to see him at fifty four.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Bro all right, First of all, there's no such thing
as a manager of promoter hat because that's breaking the
Muhammad Ali Act right there. So you just did something
illegal right there. So take that freaking hat off. Lock
me up, take that hat off. You're getting fined, send
me fifty thousand dollars. All right, Listen, First of all,
Virgil Ortiz doesn't have a belt.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
I think he's an interim champion.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
So so I say, no, that's not the fight next,
not if you're a unified champion right now, since since.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Win belts are to dictate who we should fight.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Oh, that's a ridiculous question.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Almost always not in this era.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Almost always not in this era.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
There's a couple of people who don't need belts, and
right now we need belts.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Jaron Innis is a unified champion.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
Legacy is going up like Crawford did and all these
other fighters.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
To move up and go straight to the champion. You
don't have to go to the interim.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
If you're a unified champion already, you could probably get
the fight with the champion.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
But right now, you said Sebastian fan Dora.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
He has two titles, and one of the interim's champions
for one of his titles is Crawfit, so they deserve
that fight first, those two guys, and then you got
murder Zaliev.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
He's not a big name.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
Neither so it's either you go up and fight murder
Zaliev and possibly win that strap or a twenty three
to old guy, or you stay in your weight division
and fight Brian Norman if he agrees to fight. Now,
I heard what Eddie Hearn said and it kind of
made sense. It's two sides to every story, so we
got to hear what Brian Norman Jr. Has to say first.
(10:45):
But according to what they're saying, if they offer them
two million dollars and he just got paid one hundred
and fifty thousand dollars the other day, then damn man,
I'm wondering why you don't take the fight, take the
speak speak to him.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
And speaking of money, baraque, let's point out the fact
that jurambus And said it in a post fight presco
and said he took a paker to get the start
I was fight.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
That's off.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
He had to up his his opponents purse so he
can get this fight because he wanted to make it happen.
He took less money.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
That's beautiful. That's what I was getting to.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Like, that's what we want to see people do make
these fights. So in that case, if you did that
to get the second belt, why not go for the
third and the fourth Mario Barrios. If you can't fight
Norman right now, why don't you try and fight Barrios
right now, and then come try and come to an
agreement with Norman and try to become undisputed if you
can beat these guys.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
We both agree on it that it was a phenomenal
gesture because he cares about big fights. You know, you know,
say what you want. You might not know some of
the other guys he fought. Doesn't mean that they weren't
real credible threats, but he now he wants to make
the big names whoever you guys want to see him in.
He wants those fights to happen. But look, Jim Buss
and also deserves big paydays, right, He's an exciting fighter
(11:57):
and he needs to get paid. So I agree with Eddie. Look,
this is prize fighting, right, So.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
He too was like, the next fight is more than that.
It takes bat now, the next fight is more exactly
he proved to the world. Okay, look, you know you
guys want to see me fight another champion. Here's what
I did to him after six rounds.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
All right, it's time for me to get paid, no
more paid cuts for Boots in this. Let's get him
in there with big fights and and look, it was
a great weekend Barack jeron Boots and this, in my opinion,
became more of a star in Atlantic City on Saturday Night.
I'm looking forward to seeing whatever he does next. Absolutely, Okay,
(12:33):
let's move on Jake Paul. We saw him a couple
weeks ago at Madison Square, guard in Barack kicking off
the press too for Amanda Serrando and Katie Taylor the
trilogy at MSG. We obviously can't wait for that. And
Jake was he really had his promoter had on Barack,
and I thought he had a great speech. I thought
he touched on a lot of great points. And obviously
(12:55):
we know what he's done with the man in SURROUNDO.
Now as far as him, people have been waiting, clamoring,
like what is going on next? I mean, he revealed
that there was a talks of him fighting Gavonte Davis
before the Roach fight. We talked about it beforehand, but
apparently that was true, so he had to pivot and regroup.
It seems like he's teasing a big announcement Barack on
(13:17):
who he's gonna fight this week. I like to I
like to throw some names out there, but I would
like to for you to give me your opinion on
what's that name? I mean, who do you predict that
the name is? Because me, I'm gonna say Tommy fury.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
I like that. I like that, and I think that
makes sense.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
I think there's first of all, when you're coming from
the YouTube world and you're making twenty something million, you're
coming over the box and you want to keep making money,
and that's obvious. So you can't go and fight these
regular guys, which he has done two times already. So
you gotta fight somebody with a name. You got to
fight the Mike Tyson's and the guys like that. Whether
the people like that or not, you know. So what
(13:57):
makes sense to me is fight the guy to beat you.
Fight that guy that has a big name in the UK.
Fight that guy. Who else you got? Connor McGregor, KSI,
those are these are all big names that would really
make sense for him to fight those three names. Tommy Fury, KSI,
Connor McGregor.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Perfect those those are the other two names that I
also was thinking. I don't think anybody else makes sense, right, now,
unless we all know that Jake is creative. He can
pull a rabbit out of a hat, So it could
be another name that could still be huge. But right now,
what makes most sense is Connor McGregor, KSI or Tommy Fury.
And if I had to choose one, Barack, I would
say Connor McGregor is the biggest fight. I think Tommy
(14:39):
Fury probably makes the most sense for his professional career.
But come on, the guys about big events, big fights,
maybe it is Connor McGregor.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
Man, He's fooled us before. He's fooled us before saying
I'm gonna fight my brother, you know, fooled everybody before.
Then he fights Mike Tyson, you know what I mean.
So you never know when it comes to Jake. All
I know is is gonna be something big. That's all
I can say.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
We'll see by the end of the week. I think
we'll have an announcement, a fight announcement. But just backtracking
a little bit about the press conference with the man
that's around O Katie Taylor, Barrock, you and I were
both there. I mean, this is the most tension we've
ever seen between these two ladies. And maybe we need that.
Who knows. I don't think. I think that their fight
style in the ring speaks enough. I think that the
(15:29):
amount of people that watch their last fight on Netflix,
they're gonna come back for the rematch for the trilogy.
But it doesn't hurt for there to be some animosity
leading up to the fight.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
Of course, if I was to say Mike Tyson's famous words,
I'm going to eat your finishing sentence, no, I don't
want to.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
Nowadays a sensitive society, each.
Speaker 3 (15:51):
Your children, each your children, bro I know them. So
it's like you need things like that. That's something that's
gonna be remembered forever. Mike Tyson said, I'm going to
eat your children, you know. So in boxing you need
certain things. One of the things we needed and women's
boxing was a rivalry.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
This is it. This is the rivalry. And what's better
than a what can.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
Help a rivalry is a little bit of sparktanity in beforehand,
a little bit of argument. And that's the thing when
you're dealing with the two nicest women, like I said
that day at the press conference, these are the two nicest.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Women in boxing that gives their all in the ring.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
But to see them argue that that surprised us all
at that press conference.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
We was like what And not only that, I feel like,
if I'm not mistaken, I think any other face off
that they've ever been a part of with each other,
they've shaken hands afterwards. There was no hand shaken after
I've never seen that look on a man who's face
facing off against Katie Taylor because she always has this
aura of We're uplifting women's boxing. I respect you, this
(16:52):
is great. We're gonna give the fans something they'll never forget.
There was that, but that there was also I'm not
feeling you right now. I'm going to beat you this
third time.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
You know why, because bro, this is the third fight.
One on one hand, a man of Serroundo's like, I
beat you twice.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
In her heart, that's how she feels, I'm sick of this.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
And Katie's like, I beat you twice, leave me alone.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Stop acting like.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
So they're both they're both saying I already won twice.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
I'm tired of you.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
So that's why we got animosity for people that never
ever showed animosity before.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
So I'm excited about that card entire Wait, wait.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
What about the trolling. Let's not skip over the trolling.
A man of Serroundo trolled for the first time in
her life, had a head, had headgear on, trying to
say that, hey, I got a head budded, that's where
the cut happened. And she's rubbing her head on my cut.
Her manager and trainer, Jordan was calling her dirty, like
yo fight, So that was crazy to me.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
I've never seen a man of surrounta troll anybody before.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
I love I love all of it. I love all
the ladies on the card. Obviously, Alicia Baum going a
new sign should be on the card. You Ashida Shah
Green world champion. It's gonna be an interesting night at
the Garden, so I can't wait for that. Let's talk
about the Hall of Fame, Barack. Let's talk about Manny Pacy,
how the pac Man being inducted this year twenty twenty
(18:20):
five International Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastoda. You and
I spent some time in the Hall of Fame, Barack,
just being in that building, the aura, the history, it's
just so deep and obviously many Packer was well deserving
of the ceremony.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
Right.
Speaker 3 (18:36):
Manuy PACER's last fight was twenty twenty one against Ugas.
He lost that fight. It was a different man, you know.
But regardless, give Ugas to respect. Unbelievable career many Packer
has had. He's one of the best fighters of all time.
If anybody wants to go to a Hall of Fame,
(18:56):
this should be that one. The only other one that
I really really loved was when andre Ward and Floyd
and Roy got inducted at the same time. That was
I kicked myself in the buffer not being there to
this day, you know. But Manny Pacquiao is unbelievable. This
is this is a historical moment right now. Obviously, first ballot, Barock,
no question about it. What about those guys that we
(19:18):
feel should.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Be inducted in the Hall of Fame and there should
have been years ago and have not made that list,
Like we have a little list for you guys that
we're going to give our suggestions of guys that should
have been inducted in the International Boxing Hall of Fame
that haven't made the list.
Speaker 3 (19:36):
Well, one I would say is Zab Judah. Before Terrence
Cowford became the undisputed champion at one hundred and forty seven.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
Pounds, Zab was that last guy.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
Now, I understand Zab lost some big fights, but he
was champion in two different divisions, and which is one
seven and undisputed at one forty seven. He was one
of the most exciting fighters in that.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Division, kind of like Mike Tyson.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
Mike Tyson lost some big fights, you know, lost to
some greats, but he was the most exciting fighter to
watch in the heavyweight division. And that's why he has
so much fame. And I think Zab Judah is that guy.
There's guys who's accomplished less that are in the Hall
of Fame right now, I don't understand why Zab is
not in the Hall of Fame by now.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
I can't agree with you, mal Brock. And not only
that when he did win that undisputed crowd at one
forty seven, the manner that he did it in the
vicious knockout that he scored dominance one of the hardest
punches in that division, I would say, you know, of
all time, and let's not mention. In fact, even though
it was a loss, he was the first guy to
really give Floyd Marry a real threat and actually put
(20:45):
his glove down. Whether you felt he won a lot
of rounds or not. That the excitement in that fight
alone was probably the first big fight that was part
of the hip hop culture that everybody was watching. Everybody
stopped to watch that fight. It was huge. So I
agree with you on that. Another name I want to
throw out there Sergio Martinez, a guy that started boxing
(21:07):
at nineteen years old. He was a cyclist right twenty even, yeah,
nineteen twenty. I mean, for you to accomplish what he
did and starting boxing that late, it's unheard of.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
It.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
It just doesn't happen. And some of the big wins
that he had becoming middleweight champion of the world, the
way he did it, his style. I mean, we all
know the historic knockout against Paul Williams, which was actually
people say knockout of the year. That probably was a
knockout of a decade within that decade. So I do
(21:42):
believe he deserves to be in the International Boxing Hall
of Fame.
Speaker 3 (21:45):
I was there for that fight against Paul Williams, an
unbelievable knockout.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
The whole crowd went crazy.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
First of all, it was a silence first, then it
was like everybody just erupted.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
He beat multiple champions.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
Kelly Pavlick, you know, and he beat Houly Caesar, Chilvis
Junr when he was on a roll, straight up and
down when he was on a roll. So he beat
multiple champions, and he beat them bad. He was when
he was on that roll of just beating everybody late stoppages.
That was an unbelievable Martinez that probably nobody could have beat,
(22:17):
you know. And then that Coodo fight, he had a
brace on his knee. He definitely wasn't the same guy.
His gift was his legs. He's like David Hey. His
gift was his legs and his ability to move and
out box guys and eventually stops him.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
I think he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 3 (22:33):
The next guy I think of is Chris Ubank Senior,
just for his suits alone with the batch. With the batch,
he's already a sheriff, you know what I'm saying, or deputy.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
No tremendous career, tremendous career, tremendous fighter, tremendous individual sidebar.
I hope him and his son worked things out, and
I hope he's there for his son when he fights
kind of been, but.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
He him not being in the Hall of Fame crazy
to me.
Speaker 3 (23:01):
I guess eventually he being, But come on, it's long overdue,
way beyond overdue.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
So I agree with you that. And the saddest thing
is him and his son not really getting long right now.
So I agree with you, Roc. I just want to
throw a little a name out there that's not a fighter,
because you know, when it comes to guys outside the
ring being inducted in the Hall of Fame, seems like
they have to wait to their on their last last
leg in life to be inducted in the Hall of Fame,
(23:26):
not really enjoy and appreciate that and smell their flowers
the way andre Ward has been able to do, which
is a blessing. They're tiring so young. But I'm going
to throw out Max Kellerman. I think Max Kellerman is
so impactful in our sport, so influential.
Speaker 3 (23:41):
I mean, yeah, well we were talking boxes shoot Dan
Rafael too, like there's a bunch of guys, but okay.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
But that's the name I'm throwing out that. I think
Max Kellerman, it is one of the best voices of
our era. In the last twenty five years, in boxing,
and at this age, I would like for him to
be young enough to take his fan up the can
of store, to put on a shoe and get inducted
in the Boxing Hall of Fame while he can still
smell those flowers.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
Yes, somebody I definitely admired, somebody who I thought. I
remember one of my first time seeing him. I was like,
this young guy got a lot of wisdom, Like he
was young in the midst of greats when you talk
about Larry Merchant and Roy Jones and Jim Lampley. He
was in the midst of greats, holding his own bringing
up amazing facts. And I love the way he looked
(24:29):
at the sport and actually at the fight, so a
beautiful idea.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
I believe he needs to be in the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
And listen, and just to touch on that. Lastly, we
have the opportunity to talk to him in person and
on serious x SIM and the high level boxing conversation
that you have with a guy like Max, you know,
you forget you're doing a show. It gets so in
depth in the sport. He's very intricate and I'm glad
we got the opportunity to chop it up with him.
I hope he gets that callsome Yes, sir, I agree,
(24:58):
and Brock, I don't know. Maybe, and this is wishful,
dreamful thinking, but maybe you and I one day will
be inducted in the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
Yeah, maybe me. I don't know about you. That's wishful,
that's wishful dreams right there.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Great show today. I really enjoyed touching on on the
Hall of Fame. Dudes. I think that most guys want
to win world titles, but being inducted in the Hall
of Fame is probably the most prestigious honor that you
can be given in this historic sport.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Even guys who reached that championship level don't make it
into the Hall of Fame. So it's definitely something that
the fighters want. Even andre Ward said that this is
the closer of his career that he needed and he wanted.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
No question about. Look. Great list of names in the
International Boxing Hall of Fames. Speaking of the list, we
have a new list coming this Friday that's never been created.
I know you heard top ten pounds for pound by
so many different platforms, but you've never heard a top
ten contender list, Top ten contenders in the entire world
who haven't officially been crowned World champions. Ikon Barrock's top
(26:05):
ten contental list is coming this Friday. All right, that's
our show for today. I hope you guys enjoyed it.
Peace and love, Stay safe Friday
