Speaker 1 (00:00):
He look about the rock your world for those we
need to talk about, to talk, we talk well.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
This is Ryan Shuling live on Denver's talkstation six thirty
k HOW.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Good afternoon, Happy Friday, heading in to Christmas and Hanukkah,
both next week, both on Wednesday. In fact, I'm Jimmy
Sangenberger filling in once again for Ryan Shuling today here
on six point thirty k HOW, Denver's talkstation, with so

(00:55):
much to get to, including regular now regular Friday guests
Deborah Flora and Christian Toata.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
It's Friday in Denver, and that means it's time once
again for the Right Side of Hollywood with award winning
filmmaker Deborah Flora and Christian Toto of Hollywood in Toto
on the intersection of pop culture, entertainment and politics in America.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Right here, I'm Ryan Schuling live. Gotta love it, Deborah
Flora on the phone, Christian Toto here in studio. Merry
Christmas to you both.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
Oh right back at you?

Speaker 3 (01:41):
How you doing?

Speaker 1 (01:42):
It?

Speaker 5 (01:44):
Takes the season?

Speaker 3 (01:46):
How is it going? I mean, are you guys ready
for Christmas? Because I literally am not. I must admit
I still have some shopping to do.

Speaker 6 (01:55):
You know, I think our kids know what they want
very early. So the Santa Claus this has been assembled, collated,
and executed.

Speaker 5 (02:03):
Let's put it that way. So I think we're in
good ship.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Beautifully down how about you, Debra, Wow.

Speaker 7 (02:09):
Christian put me a little bit of shame. I will
get there.

Speaker 8 (02:12):
It has been going for a little while. But our
son just got back from college last week, so that
just kicked us into overdriving the holiday spirit.

Speaker 7 (02:19):
But we'll get there.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Love this time of year beautiful. Well, there is so
much to get to with you guys, including in a
little bit, the Full of the Year, which is a
big deal.

Speaker 9 (02:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:30):
Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
This has been such a crazy year and deciding who
in the world is going to qualify for that was
hard enough, let alone who's going to be.

Speaker 5 (02:39):
The Full of the Year. They're all winners in my
eyes though, they are all winners.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
That's the way we go.

Speaker 7 (02:44):
Or is that losing that I don't know, you can
name it either way.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
Thanks Radio, I don't see the scare quotes.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Yes, exactly, exactly. So let's dive into some Hollywood topics.
There's a lot that we could talk about, including one
fascinating story and Chris and I'd love to start with
you on this one. The from NBC News. There's a
new TV show from Disney coming out called Win or Lose,

(03:11):
an eight episode Pixar streaming series. It's going to be
debuting in February, and a Disney spokesperson said something rather
striking in a statement. When it comes to animated content
for a younger audience, we recognize that many parents would
prefer to discuss certain subjects with their children on their

(03:33):
own terms and timeline. Now, this is a statement referencing
the fact that Disney has pulled a transgender storyline from
this TV show, where the character's still in there but
not going to have this aspect. This is quite a
turn about.

Speaker 6 (03:52):
It's one hundred and eighty degrees. And this is what
Disney has been not doing the last five or so years.
They've been leaning into this part of their story. They've
been ignoring people who think maybe this is not appropriate
for younger minds, and they have a not so secret agenda,
which is one of the clips of some of the
people behind the scenes that was leaked, like I said,
a year or so ago, maybe by Christopher Ruffo. He

(04:13):
might have been the person who shared that listen. We
don't want to exclude people from stories, but you know,
when it comes to tales told to young kids, maybe
this isn't the right approach. And Disney has been poot
pooing that for quite some time, and all of a
sudden they got the message. And of course the message
was financial. They've been hemorrhaging money the last few years
either the theme parks are more specifically at the theaters,

(04:35):
and the last year has actually been very positive for Disney.
They've put a forward entertaining stories that don't have lectures,
that don't have this kind of content, and they've been
crushing it, including Inside Out two and Maanait and Dared Sorry,
Deadpool and Wolverine. So I think they're realizing that they
just tell great stories again, they actually could turn a
profit in a pretty good one.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Debra Flora, Disney CEO by Bob Iger, has returned from
having been gone for several years, and in April he
said this to CNBC, Infusing messaging is not what we're
up to. We need to be entertaining. How what kind
of a perspective do you think Eiger is bringing and

(05:16):
how do you think Disney is getting the message. Maybe
not just from some of the economic aspects that Christian
was talking about, but also the presidential election and what
we saw in November. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (05:27):
Absolutely, Well, I always had to do a disclaimer up front.
First of all, I grew up in Colorado, but I
spent a long time in Hollywood, a.

Speaker 7 (05:37):
Temporary in sanity, shall we call it.

Speaker 8 (05:39):
But my husband was producer at Walt Disney Studios, so
we saw this from the inside out. Everything within the
studio was a race count, a gender count, a gender
identity count, a sexual identity count. And in fact, there
was a Disney executive, Carrie Burke, who stated a few
years back that she was personally committed to at least

(06:00):
fifty percent of all Disney characters being LGBTQIA and racial minorities. Now,
the problem is, whenever you start with an agenda, it
never serves the purpose of what really it's about, which
is entertainment, great stories, all of that. And we did
know Bob Shapik, who you know, kind of doubled down

(06:21):
and took on Ron DeSantis and what was going on
in the state policies there. He was replaced by Bob
Iiger in response to that. In November twenty twenty two.
One of the very first things that Bob Eiger said,
not just to his employees, but to these shareholders who
were rioting because Disney hemorrhaged over eleven billion dollars, he said,

(06:43):
woke Disney is over. Honestly, it's just good business and
it is showing. Like Christian was saying, they've begun to
turn this around. And he basically said.

Speaker 7 (06:52):
And I love these quotes, it's time to quiet.

Speaker 8 (06:54):
Things down and not treat your audience with disdain.

Speaker 7 (06:58):
How refreshing is that, by the way, the.

Speaker 8 (07:00):
End of the day, business, don't treat your audience with disdain, particularly,
and when we're talking about programs like animated features that
are for kids who just want to see a good story.
And we've seen a turnaround. I mean, the stock with
that two hundred dollars per share in twenty twenty one
went down to eighty dollars per share, and it's starting

(07:21):
to come out of that creator to about one hundred
and seventeen dollars per share. Laveyls Disney would not survive,
but I think under Bob Iger's leadership, they're turning it
back around again. Not that the desire for the agenda
might not be there, but they're realizing it's really bad business.
Go woke, go broke.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
Yeah, Christian, it seems that in Hollywood there's at least
a little bit of a signal getting to them that
when you're talking about a company that is as historic
and storied as Disney and so child focused, bringing in
politics and social issues is an utter distraction at best.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
It's amazing.

Speaker 6 (07:56):
I think this will be this chapter in Hollywood history
studied for years, especially by business.

Speaker 5 (08:02):
Students and teachers.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
What went wrong?

Speaker 6 (08:05):
How you could take this rock solid brand and tarnish
it the way they have, I mean, just being antagonistic
against so many people in their audience. It's stunning, it
really is. I mean, you shouldn't take a Bob Eiger
to understand this. They should have realized this many many times,
you know, many months ago at least. But also these
things take a while to kind of course correct. I mean,

(08:25):
you know, Bob Iiker can say something today, but there
are many stories and movies and TV shows that are
in the pipeline, so it's hard to kind of hit
the brakes on this agenda. But I think we're seeing
it in real time right now again, we're yeah, go ahead, Debra.

Speaker 8 (08:39):
No, No, I'm so sorry, especially with the article that
you just shared, which is they've already produced this TV
show and they're removing those scenes that really just aren't
appropriate for children. And how refreshing do you hear them say,
you know, there are actually certain topics that parents should
discuss with their kids, not have it before sed Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Deborah fl Or Christian Toto joining us Jimmy Sangenberger in
for Ryan Schuling today. There's a big story going back
now a few years of Alec Baldwin, the noted Hollywood
star who of course was in a whole thing of
a shooting in this film called Russ that ended up
with it was a couple of crew members, one died,

(09:21):
ptographer passed away, and it is a case where he
was charged with involuntary manslaughter dismissed earlier this year, and
now he's playing the card where he's like, look now
my career is at risk, and it was being impacted
because well it's like being dead because you roam the

(09:42):
earth and you're invisible. But now of course Hollywood is
looking at him again and he's got future potential and
opportunities that are coming to fruition.

Speaker 6 (09:53):
How do you look at this Christian Well, first of all,
he's been working ever since they actually completed that film,
which is a whole different story. Makes me feel rather
sick to my stomach. But I think there was the decision,
maybe even some of the family members of the deceased person.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
So let's just put that aside.

Speaker 6 (10:08):
I have seen him in multiple titles over the last
few years throughout this whole process. For him to evoke
a ghost and deadly imagery is absolutely tone deaf. But
also I chuckle at him, if only because he gave
an interview a little while ago and they were talking
about the fact that conservative actors are blacklisted, when we

(10:31):
know that to be absolutely the case. James Woods hasn't
made a major film since twenty fourteen, and he's a
terrific actor. I think he's got two Oscar nominations, you know,
Kevin Sorbo. There are many many examples I can cide
in the exception to the rules are like Tim Allen
and John Voyd and Aleck Bollwyn said the situation was unfortunate,
which felt a little tame for someone who's a Hollywood

(10:54):
actor and who should have a lot more empathy for
his fellow stars who are just you would think unemployable
because they have a different point of view.

Speaker 5 (11:00):
But that's that's Eli Baldwin.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Yeah, Debra, how do you look at that contradiction where
on the one hand, he's like, hey, I need to
not be blacklisted, Embrace me, don't hold this against me.
But who cares about those conservatives in Hollywood?

Speaker 8 (11:15):
Yeah? Two things I want to say about this. First
of all, let's just frame what happened on the send
of Russ. I've been on both sides of that gun before.
I've had it pointed at me in a scene where
I was acting, and I've been a producer on a show.

Speaker 7 (11:29):
Where we have used weaponry.

Speaker 8 (11:31):
And let's just be really clear. It was an epic
failure of every single step of the process, starting with
the ammunition that was there, yes, the weapons handler, all that,
and when I was operating a gun in front of
the camera, not only would it be handed to me
and in front of everyone on the set, you make
sure and show everyone is empty.

Speaker 7 (11:52):
You do all of that.

Speaker 8 (11:53):
The number of failures on that set. And Alex Baldwin
was a producer on it too, so he failed in
both ways, and you never or swing a weapon around
on set and jokingly shoot it in a direction.

Speaker 7 (12:04):
I mean that part.

Speaker 8 (12:05):
I just have to say, there are so many people
that are responsible for the sake of the woman that
was killed and the other person who was injured. I
hope there is justice done now switching gears. Having away
from that part, the other thing I would say is,
you know, my husband I were part of that underground
conservative organization in Hollywood. We were at the founding of
it when John Boyd was in that room and others

(12:26):
who I will not mention because it's like fight club.
And I can add to that list of James Wood,
people like John Ratzenberger, who Pixar made him their lucky
charm and he was ahead of voice in every single
one of their movies until recently when he became more
outspoken conservatively. You know, we grew that group from a
handful of people to over three thousand. There are many

(12:46):
people in Hollywood all the way down to the working
class folks who are grips, set designers, you know, the
electrical folks, the camera crew who are conservative and know
they can never speak up. And actually aril Aria Emmanuel
Ram Emmanuel's.

Speaker 7 (13:04):
Brother, who's one of the top people.

Speaker 8 (13:06):
In Hollywood, went on a set when Obama was up
for Lush and said to everyone on the set, if
you are not voting for Barack Obama, we will find
out and you will never work in this town again.
So it's a little late for someone like Alec Baldwin
to say that without standing up for people previously who
were already being blackballed for years and years.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
Yeah, it's really something else when you have somebody in
Hollywood get a consequence, even job wise, or at least
the perception of a consequence. Christian that comes from actions.
He actually took irresponsibility on set as a producer and
then is going to be welcomed back with open arms,

(13:49):
but not people who disagree with the political status quo
in Hollywood.

Speaker 5 (13:53):
It's fascinating.

Speaker 6 (13:54):
You know, a couple of years ago, Ezra Miller had
a pretty long rap sheet. Of course, he's the star
of Flash, and he goes by I forget his pronounce
but it's not conventional. And you know, Miller was hired
by that movie. And if Flash had done well at
the box office, and we'd see a Flash two, three,
and four, and it didn't matter what Miller had done.

(14:15):
They looked past that, and he was accused of things.
He was caught doing other things. But if you think
the wrong way, then there are consequences. I mean, Kevin
Sorbo has talked about losing an agent a best maybe tenor,
and I don't know how long ago it was, but
basically he's Christian and he's conservative, and that was a
bridge too far. He didn't do anything, he didn't say anything.

(14:36):
He just was a working actor in Hollywood. And you know,
from what I know from actors and studying this industry
for so long, it's a fear based industry.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
And I get it.

Speaker 6 (14:44):
You know, there are so many people competing against you
for a job. You get older, and all of a sudden,
the studio executives look at you the wrong way, in
a different way, and they want someone younger. I understand
what they're going through. And then just say, oh my gosh,
I can't even speak aloud my political thoughts, as tepid
or as maybe conventional as they may be, it's a
horrible situation. We'll be talking about sort of the Joe

(15:05):
Biden having senility of some kind, and how that's the
biggest untold story in the news media.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
Well, this is the biggest.

Speaker 6 (15:12):
Untold story in Hollywood, and every few weeks or every
few months, one of the major publications they depertone it.
But there's never any outrageous never any follow up. It
is disgusting, and I've heard stories just like Debora shared
as far as as that Friends of Abe organization, and
they're horrifying.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
Well, he just got a few minutes left in this
segment with Christian Toto and Deborah Flora. There's one other thing.
It doesn't really have a political tinge to it, but
it's a fascinating business story and it involves a certain
major cinematic character.

Speaker 5 (15:41):
I admire your luck, mister Bond. Chaman's Bond, Mister Bond.

Speaker 8 (15:50):
I suppose you wouldn't care to raise the limit.

Speaker 5 (15:53):
I have no objections.

Speaker 7 (15:56):
Anything.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
Yes, Well, somebody's out to get James Bond, and that
would be Amazon with a new movie they want to do.
But Barbara Broccoli, the heir to Albert Cubby Broccle's productions
of the James Bond franchise, is not wanting to play
ball with Amazon. This according to a fascinating report from

(16:31):
The Wall Street Journal entitled where is James Bond trapped
in an ugly stalemate with Amazon, and noting that Barbara
Brockley has told friends she doesn't trust algorithm centric Amazon
with the character she helped to mythologize through big screen
storytelling and gut instinct, being quoted as calling them efing idiots.

Speaker 6 (16:57):
You know, I thought no one could defeat James Bond,
but it turns out he has been conquered, and not
by some evildoer or some mad genius, but by Amazon
and the corporate suits. It's a very sad story. And
I've been wondering for a while now, when are they
going to announce an next James Bond? When is it
too We're going to be finished? When are we to
get a title? Any sort of information about that? And

(17:17):
now we're learning out why because there was a massive
struggle behind the scenes. It says everything about where we
are today in Hollywood, and a deep dive into that
story talks about how Amazon wants to make spin offs
and all these different you know, associated projects, and the
brock the family just wants great James Bond movies.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
We can't do that. We don't have enough time for that.
That seems sad.

Speaker 8 (17:38):
Yeah, indeed. I mean, and he is such an iconic figure,
and good for them for protecting it. And I think
Barbara is right to doubt what Amazon wants to do.
I mean, in an era where toxic masculinity is the term.
And then we turn around and now every action hero
usually needs to be a woman, and I'm a strong woman,
and I find that patronizing. I wondered at what point

(18:00):
in time there would be a deconstruction of James Bond, who,
no matter how you look at him, is the icon
of the playboy. You know, go get them figure, super spy.
Everything about him is fully masculine in a society that
in some ways wants to deconstruct that.

Speaker 7 (18:18):
I'm kind of.

Speaker 8 (18:19):
Rooting for Barbara Broccoli in this. I don't think we
need another cash cow that is basically driven into oblivion
by all the sidecaracters.

Speaker 7 (18:27):
They're talking about.

Speaker 8 (18:28):
Want of doing a Moneypenny spinoff, maybe a female Double
O seven And you know, I'm all for strong women,
but not at the risk of also being able to
show strong men and iconic figures. I mean, there is
a place for all kinds of stories, and let's not
turn James Bond into just like everything else, so I
kind of say, go Barbara hold Fast.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
It's one of my favorite franchises, the Double O seven franchise.
Even as a kid, I would watch all the reruns
on TV from all the different actors. Loved playing the
Golden Eye game. It was out for Nintendo sixty four
back in the nineties. And these things are just so
intrinsic to our culture and it's something we share with
the Brits across the pond. Two and to have a

(19:12):
company like Amazon want to do the kinds of things
as you were just describing Deborah, I think just is
not going to fly. And kudos to Barbara Brockley for
making a stand. We're going to take a break. On
the other side, Let's have some fun as we look
back at some of the central characters this year who
acted rather foolish and get your help choosing the Full

(19:37):
of the Year. Jimmy Sangenberger filling in for Ryan Chuley
with Christian Toto and Deborah Flora six thirty k Out
joined by Christian Toto and Deborah Flora as we take
a look at four nominees for the Full of the Year,

(19:59):
not just the we, but we are looking back at
the year, and it is very hard. It's not like
they're slim pickens when it comes to who should have
this honor distinction.

Speaker 5 (20:11):
Sure, I mean this is a great honor.

Speaker 6 (20:13):
I'm surprised, certainly in the parking lot right now hoping
to step in and accept personally.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
All years are now on this and we have an
open line for our nominees whoever wins, which we will
find out the winner later on with your votes as
you text in to the show at five seven, seven,
three nine, make sure to put Ryan in there first.
But let's get to the nominees first. For full of

(20:38):
the year, we'll hear a little bit from them and
talk about them here in this segment and the next.
And I think we need to start because we were
just talking about her Christian and I here in studio
during the break kareem Joan Pierre or the White House
Press secretary. Here is what she said earlier this year

(20:59):
from a presidential perspective, is there any possibility that the
president would end up pardoning his son?

Speaker 7 (21:05):
Well, I just said no.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
I just answered, go ahead, go ahead. And then things changed.

Speaker 10 (21:14):
Because all the facts that you have outlined were well
known in advance, and I would add there has been
some circumstances that have changed this, right, Republicans.

Speaker 11 (21:24):
Not letting up saying they won't stop, They're going to
continue to do this. I mentioned the recent Trump appointees
of legal enforcement positions, right that said during the campaign
they would have they were out for retribution and so
no reason to not take them for the word. I
pointed out there was a sentencing coming up, as you
all know.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
I said, there are multiple factors.

Speaker 11 (21:48):
Here, not one thing. Not one thing led to this,
multiple factors, and I think.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
If you look at all of these, it's.

Speaker 11 (21:54):
A combination of reasons. Why the President wrestled with this
over the weekend and made this decision.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
He wrestled with this, Deborah Flora. It was such a
hard decision because circumstances changed and he had to part
in his son Hunter, didn't he.

Speaker 8 (22:10):
Oh my goodness. Okay, So here's the I know that
she is a nominee for Full of the Year, but
when I had my own show almost every Friday, she
would get my weekly Bless your Heart Award because he
was one of the most.

Speaker 7 (22:22):
Thankless jobs on the planet. Yet she chose to do
this job.

Speaker 8 (22:26):
But I'm not saying she is not without some fault,
but she has had to do this for basically four
years now, explain the unexplainable. So I just have to say,
not with full sympathy, but she gets my Bless your
Heart award for having to explain a one hundred and
eighty degree turn of pardoning Hunter Biden.

Speaker 6 (22:47):
Kristen your thoughts, Yeah, I feel the same way, though
I actually talked to this off air. But she should
be an SNL staple. There should be a weekly segment
with her. She hasn't deconstructing Biden the new no matter
what you just name it. You could just apply the
KGP standard to her. It would be amazing. It would
be funny, it would be relatable, and people would laugh

(23:08):
on both sides of the aisle and they won't go
near her. But it doesn't that Saturday Night Live in
twenty twenty four. It's not the show I grew up with.
They send to themselves. They don't have any diversity on
their staff as far as intellectual diversity, and they ignore her.
I mean, she is riotously funny, and again I do
have a little bit of sympathy for her because look
what she has to work with.

Speaker 5 (23:28):
But still you gotta bring your A game, and she's
bringing a D plus at best.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
Let's stick with folks who have been dragged down, especially
by Biden Harris, and that would mean going to nominee
number two for full of the year Governor of Minnesota,
Tim Walls, who, of course, during that debate where J. D.
Vance Vice President and elect now just cleaned his clock,

(23:57):
he was asked about his lies about the timing of
when he was in China, whether he was there for
democracy protests Tianaman Square and what happened with that astonishing
tragedy and travesty of injustice. And of course he has
a word that he uses to describe himself. But let's listen.

Speaker 12 (24:18):
Look, I will be the first to tell you i
have poured my heart into my community. I've tried to
do the best I can, but I've not been perfect,
and I'm a knucklehead at times.

Speaker 5 (24:26):
But it's always been about that.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
Governor.

Speaker 9 (24:29):
Just to follow up on that, the question was, can
you explain the jancy?

Speaker 12 (24:34):
All I said on this was is I got there
that summer and misspoke on this, So I will just
that's what I've said.

Speaker 5 (24:42):
So I was.

Speaker 12 (24:43):
In Hong Kong and China, during the democracy protest went
in and from that I learned a lot of what
needed to be in governance.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
The knucklehead wasn't at Tianman Square, Christian Tono.

Speaker 6 (24:56):
I don't think this played well for that. So well,
you've heard the quinky defense. This is the knucklehead defense.
He was so pathetic and so cartoonishly terrible that Saturday
Night Live actually did make fun of him. They brought
in Jim Gaffagan to be their own Walltz and they
mentioned the knuckleheadline. And I think even SNL through all

(25:16):
this biases and all its shameful backtracking on what they
should do as a comedic satirical program, they couldn't help themselves.

Speaker 5 (25:25):
Wow, what an awful pick. It's just it's staggering.

Speaker 6 (25:28):
And the term knucklehead will be used for years to
come thanks to him.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
Never you've been a candidate, you've been in media, you've
interviewed many how did you look at knucklehead walls?

Speaker 8 (25:41):
You know you talked about those who were drugged down
by the Biden Harris administration. I think this is a
mutual dragging down there of it. And you know, the
knucklehead defense is not much of a defense. When you're
running to be you know, a heartbeat away from the presidency,
the most powerful position really in the Western hemisphere and

(26:02):
across the world. And I'll add to his you know,
Tianneman Square wasn't actually their misstep. He is also the
guy that says socialism is really just neighborliness, which, by
the way, you know, many people whose families were killed
under you know, communism, socialism said well, neighbor killed my family.

(26:22):
I mean, that was a huge misstep. How about the
one where when Donald Trump was running and winning on
securing the border to finish the wall, which we saw
firsthand when we were down there in February twenty twenty three,
what did Walt say that was completely toned up?

Speaker 7 (26:40):
He goes, well, if.

Speaker 8 (26:41):
He does that, I will invest in a thirty foot
ladder company, literally saying as running for the vice presidency,
he was going to aid the invasion of our country.

Speaker 7 (26:51):
So knucklehead is a very jovial way to put it.

Speaker 8 (26:55):
So far, we have bless your heart, KJP and knucklehead
Tim Walls.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
And you know what, anybody who believes that socialism is
just neighborliness is a fool like you can't get anyway
around that that stuff over on the view. The ladies
in the view have not taken too well to the
victory by Donald Trump, who will be returning to the
presidency a month from today, if you can believe it.

(27:23):
And Sonny Houstin is the main person that has gotten
a lot of attention lately for a couple particular comments
like this one.

Speaker 13 (27:32):
I worry about my children's future, especially my daughter, who
now has less rights than I have. And I remember
my father telling me many many years ago that I
was the first person in his family to enjoy full
civil rights. And now I have less civil rights than
I had when he told me that.

Speaker 3 (27:51):
Oh, less civil rights today than then. And of course
who could forget this one?

Speaker 8 (27:57):
Right?

Speaker 13 (27:57):
For Donald Trump? Uneducated white women is my understanding. You
have Latino men actually voting more for him, and you
have and black men was not the story. We're not
the story here because they voted almost eighty percent for
the vice president.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
Right, So why do you think.

Speaker 13 (28:13):
That uneducated white women voted against their reproductive health freedoms?
And why do you think Latino men voted in favor
of someone that's going to deport this says he's going
to deport the majority of his unity and like being
called uneducated white women.

Speaker 7 (28:27):
I think the security.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
Said, that's what the polls say. Huh, Deborah Flora, what
about Sonny Houston.

Speaker 8 (28:36):
Okay, Sonny Houston does not get my bless your heart
sympathy in any way should perform, She repeatedly says some
of the most racist and sexist comments. And that's what
she accuses voters of. I mean saying first of all
that all Hispanic voters are voting to keep the border open.
They are many of them small business owners, their family members.

(28:57):
They want to protect their own family. And to say that,
you know, uneducated white women, I guess I go into
that category. Having voted not for Kamala Harris, who has
made our would have made our country even less safe.
And it can me even worse. You know, it's just
stunning to me. But here's a good thing. The view

(29:18):
has become pretty much inconsequential. People don't really watch it
or talk about it unless they're quoting something like this
that was said that was so incredibly egregious. And the
final thing I want to say is this, just like
all the women who went on the women's March.

Speaker 7 (29:32):
I would have them on the show. I say, what
right that you don't have? Right now?

Speaker 8 (29:36):
Are you marching for? Is it that you want free
birth control? And said have nine dollars at target? What
right don't you have?

Speaker 7 (29:43):
And when people say these.

Speaker 8 (29:44):
Things like she has less civil rights than before, name
one place, it's just it's the irresponsibility of people sitting
in front of those microphones and in those chairs.

Speaker 3 (29:55):
Yeah, Deborah Floor, I think that's well said. Christian total
your take.

Speaker 6 (29:58):
To be on a show with Whoopi Goldberg, enjoy Beijar
and to be the standout fool is an extreme accomplishment.
And I have to give her some credit there because
leaping over those two giants in this field is really
seemingly impossible, but she does it on a daily basis.

Speaker 5 (30:16):
She is amazing and for all the reasons. And you know,
let's not forget that the view falls.

Speaker 6 (30:21):
Under the ABC News umbrella and the fact that in
recent weeks they've turned the show from the view to
the view legal Notes is wildly funny. And I have
to say, you know, I never want to censor a
show like this. If there's a ratings bonanza here, then
God bless them, they should be on the air. But
that could really crush this show if ABC's like, we

(30:41):
don't want to pay another exorbitant situation like they did.
Was Stephanopolis that the show may go away for that reason.
They have no control, they have no ability to say
rational things, and they're getting crazier.

Speaker 5 (30:53):
And I didn't think that was possible.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
Karine, Jean Pierre, Tim Walls, Sonny Houston. And finally, and
we'll talk about this fourth contender on the other side
of the break, but let's tease none other than Colorado's
own Jenna Griswold, you chose not to tell the county
clerks about this password leak? Were you going to tell

(31:15):
the public about it if the Colorado Republican Party didn't
go public with it today?

Speaker 9 (31:22):
So again I am going to push back on your
gotcha premise. We did not decide not to disclose something
to county clerks. We were actively investigating along with federal partners.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
Oh, Jenna Griswald, I'm Jimmy Sangenberger here with Christian Toto
and Deborah Flora. Contenders for Full of the Year will
be the Full of the Year text in your Thoughts
at five, seven, seven, three nine. What's your vote? I'm
Jimmy Sangenburger and for Ryan Schuling, joined by Christian Toto
and Deborah Flora. Here are the four contenders, Corrine, Jean

(31:58):
Pierre or White House Press Secretary Tim Knucklehead Walls, who,
of course was Kamala Harris's vice president, Sonny Houston of
the View. Yes, she is the one of the View
that gets this nomination, and of course none other than
Colorado's own Jenna Griswold.

Speaker 9 (32:18):
So again I am going to push back on your
gotcha premise.

Speaker 3 (32:23):
No, I don't think it's a gotcha premise. Secretary at Griswold,
you are one of the fools of the year up
for contention. We're almost at a time here, so let's
go for your votes. I'll start with lady first, Deborah Flora,
and feel free to take a second to talk about
Jenna Griswold. But who do you think is the full
of the year out of our nominees.

Speaker 8 (32:42):
Well, I have to say you've made it very tough,
and I will mention Jenna Griswold. It is amazing that
someone is over our security of our elections, misled the public.
She said, only partial passwords were released, and then when
Kyle Clark prester, she had admit that they were complete
password words, which affected sixty three out of the sixty

(33:02):
four Colorado counties who she did not notify. So that's
a tough choice, but I will have to go with
my full for the year has got to be the
good old knucklehead, because if there is somebody who wants
to be vice president of the United States who believes
that socialism equals neighborliness, I'd love to sit down and
talk with him about having been in East Germany, the

(33:25):
Soviet Union and its only neighborliness if your neighbors are
people who want to take yours from you and trounce
upon you.

Speaker 7 (33:33):
So that's my vote for the year.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
Christian Turtle Wealth.

Speaker 6 (33:36):
My heart wants to say Sonny because she's so ignorant,
and she's telling people not to accept their loved ones
at the holidays because they voted the wrong way.

Speaker 3 (33:44):
The boy when Tim.

Speaker 6 (33:45):
Waltz had a belly flop on a national level, how
could you pick anyone else? What a knucklehead, what a fool?
And by the way, the Minnesota media, which was so
soft in him, made that possible.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
And remember the words of Obi Wan Kenobi, who's more foolish,
the fool or the fool Loo follows him Allah the voters,
the Paris walls, thank you both. Merry Christmas, keep it here,
Jimmy and for Ryan Schuling. Stay with us,
