six point thirty KOWA.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Hi, my name is Valdemar. We do not speak as
I'm sorry, I think you have me confused with someone else.

My name is Valdemar. And enough with the creepy music already.
I'm not Baltimore. I'm Valdemar.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
You're there of Sitherin.
Speaker 1 (00:46):

I'm Valdemar. Say it and.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
His name was maybe she wrote it down.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
It's really easy. V A L D A M A R.
I'm not Voldemort. Say my name. I won't hurt you
or will calm down. That was a joke. My name
is Valdemar Archiletta, and I'm running for Congress in Denver.
You can say my name.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Valdemar Archiletta joining us now.
Speaker 5 (01:29):
He is the Republican candidate in the first congressional district's
longtime ancient representative.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
I call her.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
Dinosaur Diana Diana de Gett. She's been there since nineteen
ninety seven. Much like flannel back in the day. It
was stylish then, but not now. Valdemar, Welcome to right
Shieling Live.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
Yeah, that kind of scared me at first. I was like,
how come I hear my voice.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
But I'm not Where are you? Sound like you're in
Voldemart's dungeon.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
I apallize I'm at work. So I'm in the middle
of the airport right now. I'm standing in front of
the duty free shop next to the Mexican restaurant where
everyone can hear me.
Speaker 5 (02:09):
All right, if you can pick me up some duty
free tequila, would you go ahead and do that.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
I'll give you the money. You can count on me
for it.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
It's kindly keeper at Let's just go by night at
the airport.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
We'll hold out for that. Then, Valdemar, the campaign never sleeps.
You got four days left.
Speaker 5 (02:25):
I know a lot of what you've been engaging in
is retail politics, just the ground game, knocking on doors
of operating phone banks.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
That's going to happen again on Saturday.
Speaker 5 (02:34):
I just want to give you this opportunity and platform
to tell the people if they're living in Denver and
they want you to win.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
What they can do to help.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
Yeah, I just looked at the Denver Gulp Breakfast this
morning and talked to some Denver Republicans, and I just
want to give people a message of hope.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
You know.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
I've been out in this city for the past ten
months or so talking to people, and I do think
that we often underestimate our as the public thanks in Denver,
thinking that there's no point to it, it's a lost
cause or whatever. But there's a lot that can be done.
Even if Denver doesn't flip red. We are able to
move enough people in Denver, we can have a huge
(03:14):
impact on the state. And not only that, Like right now,
it's not just about the candidate. There's so many ballot measures,
not just state wid but Denver has like just as
many on its own. So if you are in Denver,
you have like twenty measures to vote on and they're
very important. They those ones are going to be close
because there are many people, even who are Democrats, who
(03:36):
understand some of the bad measures that are on there.
For banning slaughterhouses, which is going to get rid of
just one business that's going to make the price of
land shoot up, Banning the selling of fur, which will
hurt the you know, Denver or the Western National Western
Stock Show, it will hurt the powow. Some of these
you know, staples of our culture may have to leave
(04:00):
the city of Denver in order to function, and a
lot of other things. So voting is very, very very
important if you were in the city of Denver right now.
So do not pass up this opportunity. I think some
people have this in their heads that you know, Trump's
not going to win Denver, Trump's not gonna win Colorado,
so why vote. Well, that's just one part of the
(04:20):
entire ballot. So it's very important. So like you said, tomorrow,
we are going to have a phone bank. And Nicky Leo,
who is running in House Distort three, has been working
her butt off. I think she's knocked on like nine
thousand doors in her district. She's going out there every
day and she has a very difficult rate. It's she's
(04:44):
going up with gainsko incomes into it's not even trying.
You were talking about her this morning and she's not
even trying. The leak to be little to your speaks,
but she's a big lusty. All our talking points are
very far to the less that I feel like she
thinks she doesn't have to because winning is going to
be a garrett given to her because she's a Democrat,
(05:05):
and with house distantree, that may not be the chase.
If we work hard enough there in fifty effort in
that nicky head, you know there is a chance that
she could win. So we're going to be focusing on
House District three at the south end of Denver. But
also we need we need the Publican's attorney about just
because of all these measures.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
Valdemar Archuletta joining us from Dia where he works, that's
his day job. And he talked about this a bit
in the debate that he had with Diana to Get.
I mean, she's been living on the government dime now
for twenty seven years. There's only been two representatives for
Congressional one, Pat Schroeder Diana to Get, dating back to
nineteen seventy three, fifty one years. Time for some new
(05:48):
blood and Valdemar, you've done your level best to reach
out to people, and I like how you put it.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
It's kind of a ripple effect.
Speaker 5 (05:54):
It's not just your race, but the fact that you
can influence people maybe to turn out that have never
turned out before, or maybe haven't voted for a while.
Have you encountered a lot of people like that in
Denver that just haven't voted, But because you reached out
to them, you planted that seat in their minds, they're
going to turn out.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
Yeah, there are some. I think when people see that,
you know, there's a Republican candidate who's pretty import efforts
or the party's pretty in quote effort in their neighborhood,
in their community, it encourages them to do more, even
if it is just turning their belts, you know, when
they see when someone's trying I'm going to try, I'm
going to uppot an effort, And like I said, it
(06:33):
can have that ripple effect. But even right now with
the I was at sea Regent Eric any rights and
might be mispronounced, but I think it's right hard. He's
you know, running in a state wide election.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
I think he's the.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
Only one this round. But if he can give enough
people in Denver to say, all right, I'm gonna turn
my belly, you know, that may be enough to push
him over the edge on statewide. So it is important
that redeema phone bank. We'll be at the Independence Institute
tomorrow from three point thirty to seven and we will
have dreach and pizza and we will have a good.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Time, all right.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
Check that out the Independence Institute. Of course, John Caldera
running that organization in Valdemar a big part of this
twenty twenty four campaign, and race is run his level
best and I think the best candidate we've seen on
the Republican side in that first congressional district maybe ever
against Diana Degaett. You can follow him on x at
Archiletta for Colorado, that's Archiletta, the number four co and
(07:34):
find out more about him online at that same website
Archiletta for Colorado dot com. Valdemar. I'll let you get
back to work. I know you got a lot on
your plate right now. Best of luck the.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Rest of the way. We'll see what happens in four days.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
Yeah, thank you very much, and you know, we hope
we have a good turnout tomorrow and have a good day.
Speaker 5 (07:51):
Looking forward to that turnout at the phone bank. As
he mentioned at the Independence Institute,
