(00:00):
It's Friday. It's a cornycopia ofPolte perree, topics, potent potables,
whatever you want to submit to theconversation. It's five o'clock somewhere. Maybe
you've clicked off the lid a littlebit early. Hopefully you have, because
I haven't, and I need tolive vicariously through all of you. Now
you may have heard during the firsthour, I've had Kelly's picks from Billy
(00:21):
Joel. There'll be two more comingup this hour, and we're going tonight
thanks to our good friend and loyallistener Alexa. She's dealing with a pet
issue right now. We're wishing herthe very best, but tonight should be
a fun night and exciting night atCOR's Field. Looking forward to it.
I have never seen Billy Joel live, so I'm very excited about this.
(00:41):
A brief bit of biographical background andhistory on yours. Truly, my mom,
up until the very last moment, was going to name me Clayton Joel.
Clayton is a small town just outsideof Saint Louis where she and my
father were living with my grandfather, her dad, back in the earth seventies
before I was born, and shejust liked that name. She thought,
(01:03):
I think of Clayton, and it'slike a nice southern gentleman that I would
meet in southern Illini. I'm like, I like that name. Hum.
And she wanted to name me Joelfor the middle name, in part after
Billy Joel. So I was gonnabe Clayton Joel. I was gonna be
CJ. And I don't know whatit was, but at the last minute
she kind of chickened out on thatname. I don't know where my dad
(01:26):
was in all this. I reallyhave to ask him, because he's still
around and he might have some answers, but he might not. That was
just post LSD days, so I'mnot so sure of what was going on
in his cabeza at that time, but I do know that she checked down
to their second option. She keptto Clayton. She moved that to my
middle name, and she got Ryanfrom the recently deceased Ryan O'Neil and the
(01:51):
movie Paper Moon, which came outin the summer of nineteen seventy three.
And yours truly was born September nineteenseventy four. And when you do the
math, and I don't want toget too graphic here. But I had
the same birthday as Olivia Newton Johnwho's also passed, and Serena Williams September
twenty sixth. Do the math.I'm a Christmas present. Hey, that's
(02:13):
what I was. You know thewho I'm named after? Right? Your
uncle? Or you were your uncleCarl? Well, that was that's right,
but Carl. But you know howI became Kelly? Well, because
you were gonna be something else, but your dad's ex girlfriend had a certain
name, Kelly. Oh no,I'm sorry, Carle Carly like Carly.
I'm supposed to be Carly, andso I became Kelly because of Grace Kelly.
(02:40):
Okay, why not Grace? ThoughGrace is a great name. It's
an old school and Grace is mygrandmother's on my father's side. But no,
they liked Kelly. So that's howI got my name. It's supposed
to be Carly. Can you seeme as a Carly? Totally? In
think. One of my favorite listenersof ours is named Carly. She brings
it. She's a real spitfire,as I remember, and always inviting your
(03:02):
text five seven seven three nine startthem Ryan, let me know if you're
going to Billy Joel tonight at coorsField, and what your favorite Billy Joel's
song is We take requests, Sogo ahead and throw that along. Now
we've already played. I don't knowwhy I go to extremes and my life,
which was great for Joe Biden,go well, your own life,
leave me alone. I just there'stalking about parody songs. So MDB goes
(03:29):
all in on Dano this morning andDragon drags me into it, and I'm
walking. I'm walking here outside listeningto the show in real time. Oh,
he's probably still sleep on a soupdon Michael brav Or whatever he said.
And I'm not a morning person.Admittedly, when I fill in for
Brown that is sheer torture. It'sfour hours. I'm here at the butt
(03:51):
crack of dawn. That's not mylife. I'm a night owl, honey,
and I love working this time ofday. But anyway, so the
subject of Dan's parody song hang OnJoey comes up, and I got to
say the reactions have been quite mixed. To be quite honest, this texter
says, Dan, I've had yourtune in my head all morning, but
(04:13):
I like it. Keep up thegood work. Then there was I think
a talkback for Brownie and they're playingDan's song coming Back, and it said
Dan should not quit his day job? Was what that talkback said? No,
I didn't hear all of it.So did Brownie and Dragon give their
opinions on what they thought of theparody song? Actually they didn't. They
(04:35):
kind of Well, it was veryfunny because I came in this morning and
Dragon was blasting it and the confidencespeaker, and I was I'm like,
what is going on? I hadto listen to this. Whe Where did
they find it? Because I didn'thave Did I have it loaded over there?
And he just kept it? Yeah? Well they found it on the
button bar that was Dan's button barthough. Yeah, well they can get
(04:58):
to other people's button bar. Idon't know. Another Friday, Kelly,
but settled down. This is avery PG thirteen rated show. I'd like
to keep it that way. Ohyeah, okay, all right, keep
it over there, keep it overthere. More music in the themes Biden's
theme song, Harold Melvin and theBlue Night Notes. Where are all My
(05:23):
Friends? Something started changing? Mylife started rearranging. Now I'm all alone
all the friends I once had,I don't have anymore. So somebody tell
me we're all my friends. Ican't find nobody. Where are all my
friends? Oh lord, oh Lord, for that text. Yeah, And
I kind of in as much asthat I can feel bad for Joe Biden,
(05:44):
who's a horrible human being and aterrible person. I don't like what's
being done to him. Take Joeout of the equation that they would have
all these fake friends. You knowthat you that are patent me on the
back to find the soft spot wherethey want to insert the knife at two
Barack and he doesn't have a lotof loyal supporters. And that's to Dan's
(06:05):
point that nobody was really voting forJoe. They were voting against Trump.
And that'll be the case this timearound. I'm trying to tell my liberal
friends that ain't gonna be enough tobeat Donald Trump this time, not without
all the mail out ballots and thechanged rules and the rigging and the game
and the hiding of Hunter's laptop. All those things had to fall into place
for Joe Biden just to squeak outan electoral college win. So don't count
(06:29):
on that happening again. And inmost cases, I think twenty twenty might
have been an exception the whole I'mjust voting against person X, or like
the comedian filling in for Jimmy Kimmelthe other night, I would vote for
a skeleton over Donald Trump. That'sfunny, But when you don't have someone
to vote for, that's a hardmessage to sell to somebody that's not a
lunatic leftist that's you know, theyhate Donald Trump. They have Trump derangement
(06:50):
syndrome. They're going to vote againsthim anyway. But that's not fifty percent
of the country. It's not evenclose. So they don't really have anybody
to vote for right now, andthat's a problem. Ryan. You need
to play Joe Diffy's Prop Me Upbeside the jukebox when I die as Joe
Piden's Walk Up music. I likethat. One question for you. So
(07:12):
all the people that are basically sayingthat would be they're just going to vote.
You're going to vote for us whateveragainst em right. It's interesting that
they're all the people that can affordeverything and inflation is not hitting them.
They don't have to worry about wheretheir next car payment is coming from true
(07:36):
or house payment, or that carinsurance payment. That has gone skyrocketing for
their home insurance. True, andI love that as a segue too.
That phone you here ringing is ournext guest representative, Ty Winter. He
is the assistant Minority leader in theColorado House at the General Assembly. And
(07:57):
I got a tweet of X fromthe Colorado House Republicans alerting me to this
galling news and it says the followingCNBC's rankings show Colorado is slipping under Democrat
leadership. Now one, that's nosurprise, but two, look how the
mighty have fallen. This used tobe a mecca, an oasis in the
(08:18):
Mountain West to stop here in Denver, in Aspen, in Vail, and
it was glorious, it was idyllic. These were halcionic times coming up with
all these adjectives for you. Andwhen I moved here, even in November
twenty eighteen, I'm like, thisplace is great. And then COVID,
but not just COVID, because youlook at the rankings now at CNBC about
(08:41):
life in Colorado, and where doyou think we would fall in these cost
of living grade F We have plummetedto forty six out of fifty states when
it comes to cost of living that'sabsolutely stunning. To doing business D plus
down to thirty ninth out of fifty. Business friendliness C minus down to thirty
(09:07):
second, workforce C plus down toeleventh. That's still pretty good, but
it's worse. Quality of life Cplus down to twenty third. Middle of
the road, Middle of the road, middle of the pack for Colorado.
Are you kidding me right now?Education B minus down to twenty eighth,
twenty eighth for our public schools inColorado. Technology and innovation B plus that's
(09:33):
down to fourteenth. Infrastructure. Thishas got to be wrong. It's got
to be way worse than this.It says B plus for infrastructure down to
twelfth. Have you seen the roads? And then they conclude this post the
Colorado House Republicans saying we need strongersolutions for a brighter Colorado future and part
of the mighty nineteen looking to improvethose numbers in the House in this upcoming
(09:56):
election. Representative Ti Winner, asI mentioned, he is the minority leader
in the House. Representative Lendor, welcome back, thanks for your time,
awesome, thanks for having me onthe show today, and thank you for
highlighting this interesting study that's come outand the data that's with it. What
do these numbers tell you, ty, I mean, what really stands out
to you, you know, sir, what the numbers tell us is is
(10:18):
the state legislature is failing Colorado's.And it's really unfortunate because you know,
you're right, you know, Iwas born and raised in the state.
Force generation, beautiful state, greateconomy, great industries. People were moving
here. I mean, you know, we were that beacon on the hill.
And it's just through the legislation that'sbeen passed at the capital, the
taxes and fees that we see,it's getting harder and harder, not only
(10:39):
on everyday citizens, but now weeven have industry and business they're afraid to
invest here. Right. It wascrazy to see during session exactly how different
kind of people that came in andthey talked about this issue at the building,
especially during testimony. I mean, when you have the pipe fitters coming
in, when you have the steelworkers coming in from Pueblo and protesting and
talking about some bad legislation that arenot only killing their jobs, the killing
(11:03):
industry, it's very foreboding and it'svery scary for Colorado's right now. They
don't recognize the state. They livein. So many times I've talked to
Colorado and and they're like, Ti, this isn't the state that I grew
up in. And I say numeroustimes in the well, it isn't like
we live in to Colorado or youknow, in two different parts of the
state. It's almost like we livein two different states altogether. So,
you know, the numbers are scary. What's been happening in the state is
(11:26):
definitely no good for our economy andfor our citizens. And you know,
the House Republicans are looking to tryto gain some seats that way we can
try to put some stability back intoour economy, our workforce, and pull
this thing back on the tracks. He represents the forty seventh district in our
Colorado House. He is one ofthe movers and shakers and leaders of our
party, and he's desperately needed inthe General Assembly. Representative Ty Winter our
(11:48):
guest when it comes to the numbers, and we're talking about the micro aspects,
Ty, and those are important theeveryday lives of Coloraden's. You just
touched on some of those elements andhow things have really gone south for us
from a cost of living standpoint andjust from a values standpoint of what's prioritized
by Democrats and a supermajority in theColorado General Assembly, and how far off
(12:09):
the tracks it has gotten. Thishas happened in politics over the years where
one party they get a little toobig for their breeches, the pendulum swings
a little bit too far in onedirection, and the voters correct it.
And when I'm looking at the macrolevel here, Tye and Britney Peterson,
representative in the seventh district, shouldbe a safe one for Congress blue for
her, but she comes out todayand calls for Joe Biden to step down
(12:31):
from the ticket. And we've seenrecent internal polling from Democrats that are showing
Colorado is in play. If Coloradois in play for Donald Trump and Republicans
tie, what does that mean foryou? What does that mean at the
state level for general Assembly races? And what that means is is first and
foremost is is people know the problem. So we have to be positive.
(12:54):
We have to let people know we'veseen their problems and we're going to address
these problems. And then we haveto put off the message on how we
address these problems, whether it's cuttingred tape, reducing regulation, reducing fees,
reducing the cost of energy. There'sso many things that we want to
do. There's so many policy ideasthat we have. That's the first thing
that we need to do is weneed to convey to the public here's the
(13:15):
deal. You've given the keys tothe car to somebody else. They're a
little drunk now while they're driving, and it has to change, and we're
the change. So first and foremost, I think we need to be positive
with our message. Of course,we have to point out policy issues and
where they went wrong and how they'reaffecting people. But the most important to
me, and I think the mostimportant of Republicans around Colorado, is to
(13:35):
show that we're the adults in theroom and that we have the policy fixes
and we have the ideas that are, like I said, going to bring
this back on the track. SoI think that's the most important thing.
And I think it's trying to relatewith voters talking about kitchen table issues.
We've talked about the economy. Wereally haven't touched on the cost of electrification
and what it's doing to the costof energy for everyday cal rats. And
(13:56):
another thing that isn't in this pollingdata is crime. We've seen crime sky
I rocket on many different facets inmany different levels, all across the street,
from auto thefts to some violent murderto bank robberies. I mean,
we're leading in the statistics that wedon't want to be leading in. And
I truly think that Republicans around thestate are going to talk to voters.
We're going to hit the streets,We're going to knof doors, or we're
(14:18):
going to say, okay, you'vegiven them control. We're the alternative,
give us a chance to govern.Let us show you what we can do.
Representative ty Winter joining us. Heis the assistant Colorado GOP minority leader
in the House and looking to winreelection this fall, and of course he
runs a very strong campaign in hisdistrict. But outside of that, too,
(14:39):
Ti, there have been smaller signsof a turning of the tide of
change within the state of Colorado, and two shining examples of that, I
would say would be Aurora with theircity council of Mayor Mike Kaufman turning more
to a conservative race, and thenin Puebla we see a Republican mayor there.
What has traditionally been of very democraticcities. So the plates are shifting
(15:03):
a bet, how do you pushthat further? Build on that momentum,
and as you mentioned, maybe reachout to other areas here in Colorado that
have been traditionally underrepresented by Republicans. No, I think you're right. I
think this is a moment in history. We really have to seize upon this
opportunity. And I think, firstand fourth, onely, it's the work.
It's the ground game, it's here'sthe deal. Nothing in life ever
(15:24):
comes easy, and we all knowthat, and we know that we have
to put in the work. SoI think getting in front of people and
spreading the message is first and foremostwhat we need to do. We need
to introduce ourselves. We need toknock on doors, We need to explain
where the people next door. Becausethe Mighty nineteen that I serve with,
they're business owners, they work inindustry, they do so many different things.
They have such a skill set thatwe bring to the table. We've
(15:46):
actually have skin in the game. We've put into the economy, we put
into the industry. And I thinkthat that's important. You know, politics
has turned into electing attorneys, whetherit's climate attorneys or whether it's you know,
attorneys that deal with landlords. Imean, there's so many different things,
but I think having people that havea message, of people that have
actually had skin in the game anddone the work. So I think that's
(16:07):
the first most important thing. AndI think secondly is going back to saying,
hey, we know there's problems.I think we need to be positive.
I think so many times in politicsit's you know, negative cells.
And I think that, like Isaid, we need to be the adults
in the room and we need toput up the positives, the positives ideas
behind our policies, the positive ourcandidates, and the positives of having some
Republicans that are in a position togovern. And I think that's what we
(16:30):
need to do, is to say, hey, we're here on day one,
we have good ideas, we're readyto govern. And I think we
need to go into places that wenever have been into. I think that
we need to start having candidates havingmore town halls and meetings in downtown Denver,
in Boulder. I think we needto go into these areas that Democrats
have been Democrats stronghold and say yourlife any better? Are things getting better
(16:52):
for you? Is it easier foryour family, because what I see is
when I look at these numbers is, you know, when they talk about
business, there's some bad things, but there's also some good numbers that they
have. But I think those goodnumbers are conflated by the fact of the
type of people that are moving toColorado. It's almost come like the playground
for you know, the wealthy playgroundfor the tech industry. Almost like they're
trying to make this the new SiliconValley. And that's the kind of people
(17:15):
that are moving into the state. And I think so much there's so many
people that have been forgotten out onthe eastern plains, the farmers and ranchers,
the steel workers in Pueblo, theroughnecks that pull gas out of Grand
Junction, and I think the trueheartbeat of America, the true heartbeat of
Colorado, has been totally left outin the policy that the Democrats have promulgated
(17:36):
from the Capitol. It's hurt ourcitizens, it's hurt our industries, and
it's time, like I said, that the adults step up and take the
wheel and bring real solutions to thetable that will make their lives better and
help our state flourish. And bethe state that you know it was once
before, in the state that Iknow we can bring it back to be.
You can hear why he is oneof the most important voices in our
party in this state. Part ofthat mighty nineteen that he talks about.
(18:00):
We're looking to build that number alot bigger with the help of you listeners
out there, voters spreading the goodword. Representative Ty Winter, representing the
forty seventh district heading into these summermonths. Ty, always great catching up
with you. Thank you for yourtime today and best of luck in your
campaign. Thank you, I appreciateyou having me and everybody. Don't forget
God blessed Colorado and God blessed thegreatest place owner of the United States of
(18:22):
America. That is Representative Ty Winnerjoining us here, Brian Schuling with you.
Coming up next will break down thepress conference that was, or more
importantly for the Democrats, what wasn't. Dick Wadams joins me next. I'm
six thirty k out heading into thisweekend. If you're looking to buy or
sell a home, you want toturn to Frank durand the real estate man.
(18:45):
Shortest distance between two points a straightline and that's what Frank Durand's going
to get you at Team Duran. You start at Frank Durant Holmes dot com.
He's one of the most well knownand trusted and respected names in Denver
real estate, and that includes histeam. They've been recognized as one of
the top real estate teams in thecountry by Real Trends America's best real estate
(19:06):
Professionals. He's part of the RemaxAlliance. He's on the Tom Martinez referral
List. He's a regular guest onthis program and he's looking out for you.
He knows this real estate market betterthan anybody. He's one step ahead,
and that might be underestimating him.He might be three or four steps
ahead. But get it all started. Not at Zillow. Don't start there.
Go to Frank Duran Hoolmes dot com. He'll take you through each step
(19:27):
of the way with a personal touch. He'll communicate with you directly, doesn't
just hand you off to his teammembers. He's involved in every step of
the process from the beginning to signing. On the dotted line. That's Frank
Duran Hoolmes dot com. Frank DurandHolmes dot com for Frank durand the real
estate man tell them Ryan sent you. I think there would be hell to
(19:48):
pay by the Democratic Party if theydon't put Kamala Harris as the sitting vice
president as the nominee. I justcan't imagine it not being there. It
makes the vice residential session by herif she's the nominee, very critical.
And I think that's where I thinkPois will be playing. We'll be He'll
be playing up being the first gayvice president, that the Jewish vice Jewish
(20:15):
vice president, that he's kind ofa moderate, he's a moderate libertarian Democrat,
so that he could help with hisswing voters. I think he'll play
all those things up. He'll playhim up. But we know Carried Polis
is not a moderate and or libertarian. Wear a damn mask, you selfish
bastards. That's not very libertarian ormoderate for that matter. But yeah,
(20:38):
he sells himself is that he goeson with Shannon Breem on Fox News Sunday,
he goes on with Dana Perino onFox News. He plays that game
well. And the only other oneI can think of that does that almost
equally, if not better, isGovernor Gavin Newsom. And I will give
him credit. I mean, heis Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. That's
a fact. But he'll go onwith Sean Hannity in a debate setting against
(21:02):
Ron DeSantis, and I got totell you that takes stones that are uncommon
with those on the left who tryto stay among their own in media circles.
So you know that Newsom's going tobe in that conversation. You do
know that Jared Polis wants to bein that conversation and joining us now the
voice you just heard Dick Wadham's theformer chair of the Colorado Republican Party,
(21:22):
offering his analysis after Joe Biden's pressconference last night. Dick, welcome back,
Good to have you, Hey,Ryan, nice to be with you.
Let's go back to last night andif we're grading on a curve,
and I do think we have toafter the debate performance by Joe Biden,
did he do enough to save hiscandidacy? And what grade would you give
(21:44):
him? Again? Grading on thatJoe Biden curve? No, I do
not think he did enough to savehis candidacy. I would give him a
A. See, I mean hedid demonstrate some knowledge of foreign policy.
Actually as it relates to NATO.Obviously, he's been hanging around those guys
for three days, so he waskind of that had kind of been immersed
(22:07):
in it. But the thing aboutit is ran everybody knows what his problem
is, and no press conference,no speech, no rally is going to
remove the doubts that people have abouthim since that debate on June twenty seventh.
The thing about the debate on Junetwenty seventh, though, Dick,
is like you and I watched it. I don't think I saw anything there
(22:30):
that surprised me except the degree,Like we knew that Joe was slipping.
Those of us on our side hadbeen watching it happen for years, and
we were honest about it because wehad nothing to hide or reason to protect
him. And the degree, againI thought was extreme and he was as
bad as it could possibly get.But this notion that there's some element of
surprise from the left, whether it'smembers on the mainstream media or the Democratic
(22:52):
apparatchicks themselves, or Obama or Clinton, I mean they knew. Is it
just a case of the jig isup been, the cat is out of
the bag and it was there forall to see. And now they're trying
to clean up their own mess.Absolutely, Ryan, I mean everybody knew,
well, the American people knew forsure. I mean as recently as
two years ago, one of thesethe American people felt like that he did
(23:17):
not have the metal or physical capacityto be president. I mean that was
two years ago. And so Ithink the Democrats combination of sticking their heads
in a stand also and just hopingthat nothing would happen to expose how bad
he was, well, it wasbound to happen, and it did.
On June twenty seventh, Dick wadhamsour guest. He is the former chair
(23:41):
of the Colorado Republican Party. Hespearheaded one of the most successful upset campaigns
in US senatorial history on behalf ofJohn Foon against Tom Dashel, who was
the Senate Majority leader at the time. And I remember cheering that one.
And I didn't even know Dick Watamsback then, but I always thought that
Barack Obama Bill Klai and maybe toa lesser degree now because of an advanced
(24:02):
stage, but these are smart people, Dick, and Barack Obama is the
one that said, never underestimate Joe'sability to f things up. If that
were the case, we know thatit was, why didn't they offer up
some kind of alternative candidate who hada chance of really giving Joe Biden a
challenge in the primary? You knowthat's going to be a question that will
(24:23):
be after this election. In fact, you know, as you won't know,
Ryan, there are always a lotof books that come out about an
election after the fact and then gomuch deeper into what happened and when it
happened. This is one election wherewhen I cannot wait for the books to
follow to really understand why Democrats didsit back and kind of just hold their
(24:49):
breath and hope that Biden could hangon what what was what is going on
right now in terms of trying toconvince him not to rend it. One
thing that I really do believe,Ryan, that we talked about in that
interview that you played part of it, there's really only only one person that
matters, and that is Jill. But she is the only one that,
(25:14):
along with other members of the familybut her in particular, who can who
can finally convince him that he's gotto withdraw. He does not have the
capacity to know that he can't bea credible candidates Jill and the other family
members are the only ones that canbring that to him and make him see
(25:37):
that. But you know what,I don't think she wants to do it.
She loves the trappings of the WhiteHouse. She probably has convinced herself
that he can win. What Idon't understand is how can they look at
him and think that he can survivefour years and another term as president?
Well, it's delusional. And I'mwith you that. I think it's doctor
Jill and what she says goes, and she doesn't want to go anywhere.
(26:00):
And that's why I am firmly entrenched, like Joe Biden on Joe Biden,
I am sticking with my Joe Bidenstock. I don't see how they're going
to be able to make this lookclean enough to where, you know,
everybody on their own side, youknow, this stick the Democrats, the
ones with Trump Arrangement syndrome, thathate they're going to vote for whoever.
But the people in the middle thatwatch this chaos and are watching it right
(26:22):
now, that might be a mediuminformation voter, persuadable and independent in the
middle. I don't think they're goingto go for this kind of shell game.
Of just you know, Russian roulette, picking a new candidate and just
disregarding the results of a primary. What say you, Well, I don't
think they can specifically or forcibly removehim. It really is going to take
Jill convincing him that he needs tostep aside, and she's going to get
(26:45):
probably tremendous pressure every day from fromDemocrats who are terrified of a huge defeat
in November. And it's now theconcern and the panics just going underneath that
because a lot of members, alot of congressional and Senate candidates for now
panicking so they think that Biden couldbe such a disaster in November. He's
(27:07):
going to take them with them likeJohn Tester, Senator from Montana, like
Senator Kasey in Pennsylvania and Senator Brownin Ohio that are in tough races and
they're afraid that Biden to take themdown too. So that's another element of
this that we'll see more and moreof. Dick Wadham's our guest. Now,
(27:33):
I got this message from John Fabricatory. He is a Republican candidate going
up against Jason Crowe in a verytough district in the sixth Congressional and I
asked it for a reaction to whatBritney Patterson put out there today. Now
she's in a district that's not quiteas safe in quotes as the sixth would
be. She's in the seventh, having defeated Eric Odland, but she called
(27:53):
for Joe Biden to step down.I read that statement earlier today. Here
is John Fabricatory's take on that,Dick, and I want to get your
response. He said, quote,I don't think she is concerned. I
think she feels safe in her decisionto say this, and as a younger
member of Congress, it plays tothe under forty crowd. The Democrats don't
do anything without clearance. The Democratsare preparing for the possibility of moving on
(28:15):
from Biden, and they are buildingthat coalition. How do you respond to
his take? Yeah, I don'tnotice there's some master planner out there telling
her to do that. But butI do kind of agree with him that
she she doesn't feel any anxiety abouther seat, but I think she does
(28:36):
feel anxiety about the House majority,or winning a House majority, and just
overall where the party is going tobe if Biden continues to run. So
you know, I think that wasvery significant today, Ryan, when I
saw that she he called for Bidento have to not run because she's kind
(28:59):
of a she's kind of a harbingerfor a harbinger for what's going on in
the party. She's very smart andshe's got good political antenna, and for
her to say that means that shethinks that's where things are headed and where
things are heading from here. Youcan hear part two of a conversation with

up. Kimberly had her wish granted, but kind of in a roundabout way.
This is backhanded. Kimberly says, ultimately, I cannot stand Billy Joel.
(32:24):
He has little Man syndrome. Buta good bumper would be we didn't
start the fire, which we playedcoming into our interview segment with Dick Wadams.
This one, says Ryan in allcaps. That's how I know it's
important. Yes, we're going tonight. Section L three nineteen. We were
at Billy Joel Elton John at PepsiCenter years ago. Can't wait three exclamation
(32:46):
points. Not I saw that inLa hold On. Wasn't there a big
rift though, between Billy Joel andElton John. Yes, they got like
a fight. It was catfight. It was cat fights every single show up.
They're both little guys. I thinkthey're about the same time. You
know, when look it up,I don't have to hold up. I
(33:07):
mean, this is important. SoBilly, but Elton was kind of a
little Prima Donna and Billy Joels fiveso I'm five pre Madonna's so you got
the fights of the prima donnas.I'm five ten on the average male American
height, Billy Joel's five to five. That's a little man. And Elton
John he's fives over Billy Joel.Well, yeah in that case, yeah,
(33:30):
exactly towers over me. So I'mused you're a little one. Ryan.
I was at the Billy Joel concertin twenty nineteen and he was great,
so I'm looking forward to that. Here's an interesting text, says it
is from Sarah. Sarah, youalways send interesting text So thank you for
those listening to the interview with RepresentativeTy Winners. One thing struck me.
(33:51):
He's talking a good game, butthe Republicans need to get off their butts
and get to work and get theword out. On the last ballot I
received in my district, there wasn'ta republic on the list that I knew
a thing about, or for thatmatter, had ever heard about. Sarah,
You're right, it's messaging, andwhat Republicans in this state need to
do, despite the very shaky leadershipat the top, is get out there
(34:14):
and do what Ty said. Andhe does this. He puts his money
and his miles on his car andhis footsteps to this and that is just
sharing ideas, winning hearts and mindswith people who are out there that just
haven't heard our message. And Sarah, what you just pointed out is a
key reason why Republicans are not winningin this state. I don't think we're
(34:35):
winning the battle and fundraising. We'renot making those efforts. We're not going
into places where we traditionally have notgone, and we need to
