the game. Dan Campbell said afterthe game that you know, he felt
his team had energy. Like alot of times you look at a game
like that and you say, thisteam just came out and didn't play.
But the Lions came out and playedand then all of a sudden, they're
down twenty eight to nothing before theyhave a first down. And that's when
I think you saw everyone say,wow, this is a hole we're not

going to dig out of. Right. Defensively, they had no answer for
Lamar Jackson. Offensively, they coulddo nothing. So I mean, you
know, maybe this is you know, I've been around like the NFL long
enough to know that these types ofgames happen for everyone. Good teams,
bad teams, championship teams, theworst teams in the league. Sometimes you

lay an egg, and this wasthe Lion's egg. And that's no excuse.
I mean, that's not a game. That's not a performance that anyone
was happy with. You know,Dan came away saying, hey, we
got our butts kicked, right,we got our ass kicked. But end
of the day, you know theyI mean it's week seven, right,
so there's this is not a hugedeal that a lot of people are,

you know, the same old Lionsin their back to No, I would
go there, but I have tosay, which may not be right.
They just looked ill prepared. Yeah, I mean really ill prepared, like
I had. I have to laughbecause you had the headline, did you
what did it say? Lions knowhow to handle Lamar Jackson or they can
handle r No, the secret is, sorry, Lions know the secret to

handling Lamar Jackson. Well, no, they didn't at all. I mean
five hundred and three yards of totaloffense. Lamar Jackson could do anything.
They couldn't get to him. Andwhat surprised me is they gave up one
hundred and forty six yards rushing forthe first time all season. Gave up
over one hundred yards rushing. Soall the way around, it was just

a bad game. And I know, you know, you have these bad
games, but I don't know,this was like just I was surprised they
played this bad. And I meanafter coming off four straight double digit wins,
I was too. I mean,they you know, this was a
team that going into that game,they looked like one of the best teams
in the NFL. I still feelthat they are one of the best teams

in the NFL, but they didn'tI doubt Like, okay, you don't
think they're still one of the bestteams in the NFL. I'm dropping them
down. I don't know where though, to where, like behind who the
forty nine ers lost? They losttwice, They've lost the last two games.
Right the Eagles and the Chiefs arethe only teams that have one loss
right now, So I mean,maybe they're not number three, but they're
number five, But that's still oneof the best teams in the NFL.

So I just want to say,because you're one hundred percent right round
and when you said, you know, they thought they knew how to stop
Lamar Jackson, and that was tothey didn't. He didn't run. But
I don't think they executed the gameplan. I think that's a big part
of it. Like Lamar extended somany of those places. Yeah, gave

him the opportunity to do what theysaid they weren't going to do. And
just you know, that's not justLamar running for eighty yards, that's also
extending those plays for five six tenseconds and throwing down and also the penalties
that extended place. Absolutely that happeneda couple times exactly. And also here's

another Jinks Jinks jinks. Oh,Jared Goff looks like an MVP. Do
you think it's going to win MVP? What does he do? Nothing?
First of all, they couldn't protecthim, which I was quite surprised about.
He was sacked five times. Yeah, uh what is that? Two
hundred and eighty four yards? Notouchdowns? Up pick? He was pressured

sixteen times, yeah, so hewas. There was issues from the jump
with him and that offensive line.They couldn't get anything going nothing. Well,
I will defend the offensive line alittle bit because when you throw the
ball, you know, sixty times, I mean he had fifty three pass
attempts and plus the dropbacks that hewas sacked on, Like, that's a

pretty tough spot for the offensive lineto be in. There was one cornerback
blitz that Jared Goff didn't see.That's on him, that's not on the
protection. You know. There wasanother one that Decker got pushed back.
But then Goff tried to spin awayfrom it and spun right into a defender's
arm. So two of those sacksare at least partially on Jared Goff.
I mean, I don't think theline was great, but you know what
happened was those first three series theyran the ball three times and runs went

for four, four and three yards. So it's not like they weren't getting
pushed. It's not like the linewasn't doing his job. They just they
didn't convert on third downs. Theydidn't have an opportunity to run the ball
after they went down twenty eight nothing. And then when Baltimore that pass,
Rushkan pin its ears back and justcome after Jared Goff. I think that's
why the numbers look as bad asthey did. But I agree with you

one hundred percent. Jared Goff didnot play great football last week. You
know, some of the shine Iknow and some people's eyes came off of
him. Look outdoor game right,playing in the wind, some of those
things that he's always I got bothplaying in the wind. I heard that.
It's like, oh what about theweather. I'm like, well,
the Ravens were playing it. Theyseemed to handle the wind. No,
but I think people were that wasThat's been a something that people have have

got caught up in with for along time, that he didn't have the
arm or the hands or whatever.They didn't. That sort of came out
again a little bit. That's notan excuse, but that's just what the
you know, the people that havethe naysayers towards Jared Goff, they brought
those talking points up again and itshowed up. So golf needs to be
better. The offense needs to bebetter as a whole, and certainly the

terms of practice time, practicing twodays, three days, having a walk

through, not getting as many youknow, one on one reps as you
know, you feel you may need, like you gotta be ready. There's
no excuse exactly. I don't knowthat that. I don't think that that
played a big factor in what theythe way they played. I think it
was just one of those days wherethey, you know, maybe a bad
matchup and they got in a holeand then all of a sudden, everyone's
trying to do too much and itjust snowballed. And so I chalk it

up to that, you know,one of those things that happened. Probably
not gonna happen again. They're gonnalose again, but probably not like that
again this year. Well, Ithink they probably were reading their clippings and
didn't you know it's like, hello, okay, I got to play,
I mean handle your assignments. Which, yeah, it's human nature, right,
it's human nature. So maybe maybeyou know, the practice was a

small factor in the you know,the feel really good about yourself is another
small factor. But ultimately, youknow, give the Ravens credit. They
came out, they had a greatgame plan, they out coached the Lions,
they kicked the Lions butt, andthat's the end the story. Now
it's onto the Raiders, right,Yeah, so Dan Campbell, then you

have a chance to kind of sleepon it and and then come Monday,
and Dan Campbell with this fists clinchmakes you a promise. Losing is bad
enough, but you better not wasteit. I just know the frustration and
anger that I have that motivates me, and I'm pretty sure it does with
our players. So we will beready. We will physically, emotionally,

we will be ready. I knowhe was, you know, watching that,
watching him, it's like the fistswe're getting clinched. He wanted to
punch somebody, I would have theygot their asking. He wanted to kick
somebody's ass yesterday, Like yeah,he did, Yeah he was, and
it's like he he must have watchedthat tape again and and was like embarrassed.

Look, I'm gonna tell a story, okay, because this is what
it reminded me of. There weretwo of my high school buddies, like
I don't even remember what it wasabout, something stupid, you know,
a high school thing where they gotinto a fight. It was after school,
right, Okay, let's go tothe park and let's fight. And
these two dudes are duking it out, punching each other whatever, you know.
One guy knocks the other guy down, they get up, they shake
hands, right, Okay, that'sit. And the guy that lost is

like, who else wants them?Anybody else wants some? And like that's
what Dan. That's what it remindedme of yesterday where game Cable like just
got his ass kicked and he's like, you know what, I'm ready to
beat everyone else's ass in here?Who else wants to fight? And guess
who's getting a fight this week?The Raiders and I certainly expect. I
mean I tweeted it out yesterday thatlike I would take the Lions minus about
like four touchdowns right now. BecauseDan was so convincing that we will be

ready. Yeah, he and hewas like and when you watch him,
he he the fists were getting clenched. I think he was gonna punch the
lectern like he wanted to punch somebody, like I would have ponied up you,
like you know, I'm the sacrificialla. You need to punch somebody.
Punch day, take one for theteam, sit in the front road

to That's why you should be careful. But I never I had never seen
him after a loss like that,because it was that loss was embarrassing.
So Randa, you know, Carlos, my colleague, Carlos Manarz, you
know, we had this discussion yesterday. He asked me, you know,
do you think it was more painfulto lose that game where they got their
butts kicked or that game where theylost to Justin Tucker two years ago in
(12:35):
a last second field goal. AndI think yesterday this week was more embarrassing,
right when you yeah, thirty points, But to me, the more
painful loss was the Tucker loss lastsecond, because you feel like you were
so close where to me, Ithink you can chalk this one up to
just being another one of those days. Dan disagreed. Campbell said that a
loss is a loss. Yeah,he said that, but he also said

that, you know, this onewhere you get your teeth kicked in is
harder to swallow because just the wayit happened, and you never feel like
you're in a game that you shouldbe in the game for, you know,
two evenly matched teams. But Idon't know, I just it was
over so early. I guess emotionally, you know, you're I think you're
able to detach yourself from it alittle bit and say that's not us.

Whereas when you lose a heartbreaker likewhat happened against Tucker and the Ravens a
couple of years ago, that onesticks with you for a long time,
like, man, if I onlywould have done this, we would have
won, right. And I dofind it interesting what Dan Campbell said.
He one thing he said, He'slike, the harder we tried, the
worse it got, which I foundinteresting, right because I think his point
with that was, and he saidthis too, was you know, as

players were trying to compensate for theirteam, and that left other things open
that the Ravens were able to capitalizeon. And so maybe you know,
The worst thing that you can doin times like that is stray from just
doing your job. And we sawthat where some of those big passes that
they hit. That eighty yard passwas just a short little dump off to

a running back. That was becausetwo players are running with one Ravens receiver
Alexandzeloni comes up to stop Lamar scrambling. Whoever the running back is Gus Edwards.
Maybe I forget that open behind them. Yeah, runs for eighty yards
before Herbie Joseph can take him down. Well, is this coming back down
to earth game? And now you'regonna do the little thing so this doesn't

happen so you don't lose like thisagain. You're gonna lose games. But
like this right, Well, Ithink the attention to detail, yes,
And from a coaching standpoint, Ithink that's important to have one of those
where you say, look, we'rea good team, but we're not a
great team, and so when wedon't have that attention to detail, we
you know, these type of resultsdo happen. So that way, when

you go back and practice this week, you can be a little bit harder
on the players and say, youknow what, your right foot is a
half step off, right, andso you can get on a player about
that and the player says, yeah, you're right, I gotta get this
fixed. Whereas maybe when things aregoing well, you can get away with
them mista like that, and soyou know, it's it's good from a
coaching standpoint. But Ronda, Idon't think this is like, you know,
all of a sudden, the realLions were unveiled. Like to me,

the Lions are still They're still gonnawin twelve or more games, They're
still going to win the division.They're still one of the best teams in
the NFL. It was a blipon the radar, and they'll be just
fine going I don't think now.Because the way the Vikings played last night
beat the Niners, you can't overlookthem either. They looked really good,
never trailed in that game ever,and they protected Kirk Cousins, got three

turnovers, picked uh Brock Purty offin the end zone twice. Yeah,
so well, you know, theylook good. We had I think everyone
had crowned the forty nine ers asbeing the best team in the NFC,
and I still think they are.You know, they had some injuries,
No Deebo Samuel No, Trent Williams. You know, Purdy is right,
he needs more help than Jared Goffney'sright. Neither of them are Patrick Mahomes.

But Golf is a better quarterback thanthan Brock Purty. And so you
know that's where the Lions have anedge. But you know the Vikings.
Look, the Lions still have atwo game lead on the Vikings. There's
still clearly the best team in thedivision to me, But Minnesota has a
really favorable schedule upcoming to They playlike the Packers and the Saints, and
the Bears and the Broncos and abunch of teams they should beat. The

Falcons. Those are their next fivegames. Those are teams that they should
beat. Maybe they go four andone in that stretch, but they're going
to be a playoff contender at theend of the day. So those two
games when the Lions and Vikings meetat the end of the year, yeah,
something could be on the line forboth teams. Definitely for the Vikings,
but perhaps for both teams if theLions don't take care of business here
in the next few weeks. Okay, here's the other thing that I think

is funny. After this game.I hear prognosticators and analysts say, oh,
you just said you have to flushthis game, get it out of
your mind, and I say no, it should be on a loop in
the locker room. You should neverforget, right, like someone does something
bad to you and you just wantto play the replay. So you well,

I'm talking no, no, butthis a game that you were so
bad and didn't do anything right.You can't forget. You learn from your
mistakes well in a loop, especiallyfor Jamison Williams who failed to make a
catch. Jamison didn't I'm sorry,I'm sorry. He's an NFL player and

makes millions of dollars. He uh, he didn't have the best of days
for sure. But you know it'sin ronder. You've been around the game
long enough, right, Like atsome point you have to move on to
prepare yourself for the next opponent.Right. You can't be thinking about what
Lamar did to you because Jimmy Garoppolois not the same type of quarterback.
So yes, you have to learnfrom your mistakes. And I'm sure this

stings even more because the Lions didn'tpractice Monday. You know, they didn't
practice Tuesday, so when they comein Wednesday, they're probably gonna have to
watch some film and put it tobed. And then Thursday, Friday,
Saturday are practices and so they getan extra an extra practice to work out

is funny is, first of all, Jimmy Garoppolo did not play. They
got killed against the Bears. JimmyGaroppolo did not play. He should play
Monday Night against the Lions. Butyou know, Josh McDaniels is their head
coach. As we know, he'sa Belichick Patriot disciple. And I don't
know why, I don't know whatpossessed me, but I listen to his

Monday presser and they were just yougot a lot out of it. It
was word salad. He was sayinga lot, but then saying nothing,
and this is all I got outof it. Football's a mysterious game sometimes,
that's it. It's mysterious. Imean the way the Lions played from

one week to the next certainly tellsme that. And probably what's what is
mysterious? Could I hear it again, Football's a mysterious game sometimes what's mysterious
about it? Well, you know, I didn't hear the context of the
quote, but again I think talkinghow bad they played, and sometimes they
play good, sometimes they play bad. They can't put it all together because

is not scripted reality TV. Thisis real stuff, and so you can

some guys that you have to accountfor. Max Crosby on defense, one
of the best. He's good.Yeah, he was pissed after the game,

right. They still have a coupleguys on offense that can get things
done, Josh Jacobs and DeVante Adams. We saw him in this division for
a long long time, so weknow they we know they can be good
based on the talent, but Rondo, You're right, nothing has clicked for
that team this year. You knowthey have. You look at some of
the losses and just some of thethings they've done. Josh McDaniels, I

know, you know he's got somefire from from for the way that this
team has played. This is agame the Lions should win. They're at
home Monday night. They want togo out and kick them, but there's
no excuse for them to lose thisgame. But I don't think this is
gonna be as much as I said, like, yeah, I would take
the Lions minus twenty eight in thisone, just based on Dan Campbell wanting
to kick them. But I don'tknow that the talent gap is that huge.
So you know this is probably atouchdown, ten point game. Okay,

So are you going to be dressingup for the game because it is
a day before Halloween? Are wesupposed to in the press box? You
could dress up? Are you goingto dress up? I don't have a

holiday party right before Halloween, acostume party right before Halloween every year.

all I did was make a signand wrote backup singer. I could have
gone as M and M. Isn'tthat funny? Yeah? So the best
costume, oh my god, itwas Tishia and Genesis Barnes who Titia dressed

up as Lisa Lefti Lopez from TLC, remember right, caring a gas can
and her husband was Andre Horizon isJersey. I'm like, I looked at
them and I'm like, that's ohmy god, that is classic. It
was the best costume out of everyonethat was there. Look, I gotta

say, I mean that is ablast from the past. I mean,
I you know, I certainly remembera TLC Andre rising that whole thing.
That is a great costume. Yeah, it was an awesome idea because who
thinks of that right now? No, that's from twenty years ago, thirty
years ago. But the best becausewhen I saw her and I knew she
was left Eye, and then Isaw him and I started laughing because I'm

like, oh my god, you'reAndre Rising That is so funny she burned
down his house. Yeah, no, I just think that that is you
know, I think the best Halloweencostumes are the most creative ones that gets
points for creativity, like you know, a devil and an angel or right,

the last twenty years. But Igive them major, major props for the
creativity. I did not see aTravis Kelcey Taylor Swift. Yeah, I
didn't see that. But see that'sone that you know, it seems like
it's a good one to go as. But so many people are probably going
to do that. But is thatreally dressing up? I mean, you
know, to go as those twolike who cares well? I mean it's

not as creative as Left Eye andAndre Risen. It's classic, but you
know, I mean Taylor Swift TravisKelcey, that's gonna be a popular one.
Yeah. Back up saying like whenyou do you give out Halloween candy?
No no, okay, I wasgoing to ask if you dressed up

I don't. I don't like dressingup. I think one year I went

as roadkill, and then another yeah, and then another year I dressed up
as a flasher, but as aguy, so I had to make all
the arts correct parts. My motherwas laughing because I would think I was
in high school or college and Ihad a trench coat and I made it

are my costumes. I like tobe obnoxious. It's been a long long
time since i've I've dressed up orput any thought into it. I think,
you know, a couple of yearsago, my son asked me to

handcuffs. So I think that wasthe last time I dressed up.

of headsets, right, a lotof big muscle body suits wearing the T

of people in this town love ifwe're being honest, right, They really,

go as line. They'll be dressedup as Dan Campbell this year. Right

components to that. The Lions aregoing to have to pay I'm on Ross
Saint Brown. They're gonna have topay Jared Goff after this season. So

whatever player they acquire, and againit's not a Max Crosby, you just
got paid, but you know,someone like that Danil Hunter from Minnesota was
a guy that was talked about asbeing on the trade block before the Vikings
win over the forty nine ers.So a player like that is going to
cost one first round pick plus something, and then if you want to keep
them and make them worth your wire, you're going to have to give them

a huge, huge contract. SoI don't know that the Lions, just
given the contracts they have coming up, I don't know how willing they would
be to pay a player of thatcaliber that you're going to have to give
up something that expensive for. ButI do think adding a player like that,

I think it's more about if theyfind the right player that they think can
come in and seamlessly help this teamand have a big impact on the team

as well, because again, theyhave a pretty good roster right now,
like no huge glaring holes, andso if you're going to bring someone in,
you'll probably want that guy to bean impact guy, not just a
role play lay well. Also,the key to the to this team this

and I think was last year didthere were a lot of trades in the
NFL more than usual, right,Because the NFL there's not really big trades.

games, but I don't know,this was like just I was surprised they

team that going into that game,they looked like one of the best teams
in the NFL. I still feelthat they are one of the best teams

in the NFL, but they didn'tI doubt Like, okay, you don't
think they're still one of the bestteams in the NFL. I'm dropping them
down. I don't know where though, to where, like behind who the
forty nine ers lost? They losttwice, They've lost the last two games.
Right the Eagles and the Chiefs arethe only teams that have one loss
right now, So I mean,maybe they're not number three, but they're
number five, But that's still oneof the best teams in the NFL.

So I just want to say,because you're one hundred percent right round
and when you said, you know, they thought they knew how to stop
Lamar Jackson, and that was tothey didn't. He didn't run. But
I don't think they executed the gameplan. I think that's a big part
of it. Like Lamar extended somany of those places. Yeah, gave

him the opportunity to do what theysaid they weren't going to do. And
just you know, that's not justLamar running for eighty yards, that's also
extending those plays for five six tenseconds and throwing down and also the penalties
that extended place. Absolutely that happeneda couple times exactly. And also here's

another Jinks Jinks jinks. Oh,Jared Goff looks like an MVP. Do
you think it's going to win MVP? What does he do? Nothing?
First of all, they couldn't protecthim, which I was quite surprised about.
He was sacked five times. Yeah, uh what is that? Two
hundred and eighty four yards? Notouchdowns? Up pick? He was pressured

sixteen times, yeah, so hewas. There was issues from the jump
with him and that offensive line.They couldn't get anything going nothing. Well,
I will defend the offensive line alittle bit because when you throw the
ball, you know, sixty times, I mean he had fifty three pass
attempts and plus the dropbacks that hewas sacked on, Like, that's a

pretty tough spot for the offensive lineto be in. There was one cornerback
blitz that Jared Goff didn't see.That's on him, that's not on the
protection. You know. There wasanother one that Decker got pushed back.
But then Goff tried to spin awayfrom it and spun right into a defender's
arm. So two of those sacksare at least partially on Jared Goff.
I mean, I don't think theline was great, but you know what
happened was those first three series theyran the ball three times and runs went

for four, four and three yards. So it's not like they weren't getting
pushed. It's not like the linewasn't doing his job. They just they
didn't convert on third downs. Theydidn't have an opportunity to run the ball
after they went down twenty eight nothing. And then when Baltimore that pass,
Rushkan pin its ears back and justcome after Jared Goff. I think that's
why the numbers look as bad asthey did. But I agree with you

one hundred percent. Jared Goff didnot play great football last week. You
know, some of the shine Iknow and some people's eyes came off of
him. Look outdoor game right,playing in the wind, some of those
things that he's always I got bothplaying in the wind. I heard that.
It's like, oh what about theweather. I'm like, well,
the Ravens were playing it. Theyseemed to handle the wind. No,
but I think people were that wasThat's been a something that people have have

got caught up in with for along time, that he didn't have the
arm or the hands or whatever.They didn't. That sort of came out
again a little bit. That's notan excuse, but that's just what the
you know, the people that havethe naysayers towards Jared Goff, they brought
those talking points up again and itshowed up. So golf needs to be
better. The offense needs to bebetter as a whole, and certainly the

played a big factor in what theythe way they played. I think it
was just one of those days wherethey, you know, maybe a bad
matchup and they got in a holeand then all of a sudden, everyone's
trying to do too much and itjust snowballed. And so I chalk it

up to that, you know,one of those things that happened. Probably
not gonna happen again. They're gonnalose again, but probably not like that
again this year. Well, Ithink they probably were reading their clippings and
didn't you know it's like, hello, okay, I got to play,
I mean handle your assignments. Which, yeah, it's human nature, right,
it's human nature. So maybe maybeyou know, the practice was a

small factor in the you know,the feel really good about yourself is another
small factor. But ultimately, youknow, give the Ravens credit. They
came out, they had a greatgame plan, they out coached the Lions,
they kicked the Lions butt, andthat's the end the story. Now
it's onto the Raiders, right,Yeah, so Dan Campbell, then you

have a chance to kind of sleepon it and and then come Monday,
and Dan Campbell with this fists clinchmakes you a promise. Losing is bad
enough, but you better not wasteit. I just know the frustration and

these two dudes are duking it out, punching each other whatever, you know.
One guy knocks the other guy down, they get up, they shake

what Dan. That's what it remindedme of yesterday where game Cable like just
got his ass kicked and he's like, you know what, I'm ready to
beat everyone else's ass in here?Who else wants to fight? And guess
who's getting a fight this week?The Raiders and I certainly expect. I
mean I tweeted it out yesterday thatlike I would take the Lions minus about
like four touchdowns right now. BecauseDan was so convincing that we will be

he he the fists were getting clenched. I think he was gonna punch the
lectern like he wanted to punch somebody, like I would have ponied up you,
like you know, I'm the sacrificialla. You need to punch somebody.

to That's why you should be careful. But I never I had never seen
him after a loss like that,because it was that loss was embarrassing.
So Randa, you know, Carlos, my colleague, Carlos Manarz, you
know, we had this discussion yesterday. He asked me, you know,
do you think it was more painfulto lose that game where they got their
butts kicked or that game where theylost to Justin Tucker two years ago in

a last second field goal. AndI think yesterday this week was more embarrassing,
right when you yeah, thirty points, But to me, the more
painful loss was the Tucker loss lastsecond, because you feel like you were
so close where to me, Ithink you can chalk this one up to
just being another one of those days. Dan disagreed. Campbell said that a
loss is a loss. Yeah,he said that, but he also said

that, you know, this onewhere you get your teeth kicked in is
harder to swallow because just the wayit happened, and you never feel like
you're in a game that you shouldbe in the game for, you know,
two evenly matched teams. But Idon't know, I just it was
over so early. I guess emotionally, you know, you're I think you're
able to detach yourself from it alittle bit and say that's not us.

Whereas when you lose a heartbreaker likewhat happened against Tucker and the Ravens a
couple of years ago, that onesticks with you for a long time,
like, man, if I onlywould have done this, we would have
won, right. And I dofind it interesting what Dan Campbell said.
He one thing he said, He'slike, the harder we tried, the
worse it got, which I foundinteresting, right because I think his point
with that was, and he saidthis too, was you know, as

players were trying to compensate for theirteam, and that left other things open
that the Ravens were able to capitalizeon. And so maybe you know,
The worst thing that you can doin times like that is stray from just
doing your job. And we sawthat where some of those big passes that
they hit. That eighty yard passwas just a short little dump off to

a running back. That was becausetwo players are running with one Ravens receiver
Alexandzeloni comes up to stop Lamar scrambling. Whoever the running back is Gus Edwards.
Maybe I forget that open behind them. Yeah, runs for eighty yards
before Herbie Joseph can take him down. Well, is this coming back down
to earth game? And now you'regonna do the little thing so this doesn't

happen so you don't lose like thisagain. You're gonna lose games. But
like this right, Well, Ithink the attention to detail, yes,
And from a coaching standpoint, Ithink that's important to have one of those
where you say, look, we'rea good team, but we're not a
great team, and so when wedon't have that attention to detail, we
you know, these type of resultsdo happen. So that way, when

you go back and practice this week, you can be a little bit harder
on the players and say, youknow what, your right foot is a
half step off, right, andso you can get on a player about
that and the player says, yeah, you're right, I gotta get this
fixed. Whereas maybe when things aregoing well, you can get away with
them mista like that, and soyou know, it's it's good from a
coaching standpoint. But Ronda, Idon't think this is like, you know,
all of a sudden, the realLions were unveiled. Like to me,

the Lions are still They're still gonnawin twelve or more games, They're
still going to win the division.They're still one of the best teams in
the NFL. It was a blipon the radar, and they'll be just
fine going I don't think now.Because the way the Vikings played last night
beat the Niners, you can't overlookthem either. They looked really good,
never trailed in that game ever,and they protected Kirk Cousins, got three

turnovers, picked uh Brock Purty offin the end zone twice. Yeah,
so well, you know, theylook good. We had I think everyone
had crowned the forty nine ers asbeing the best team in the NFC,
and I still think they are.You know, they had some injuries,
No Deebo Samuel No, Trent Williams. You know, Purdy is right,
he needs more help than Jared Goffney'sright. Neither of them are Patrick Mahomes.

But Golf is a better quarterback thanthan Brock Purty. And so you
know that's where the Lions have anedge. But you know the Vikings.
Look, the Lions still have atwo game lead on the Vikings. There's
still clearly the best team in thedivision to me, But Minnesota has a
really favorable schedule upcoming to They playlike the Packers and the Saints, and
the Bears and the Broncos and abunch of teams they should beat. The

Falcons. Those are their next fivegames. Those are teams that they should
beat. Maybe they go four andone in that stretch, but they're going
to be a playoff contender at theend of the day. So those two
games when the Lions and Vikings meetat the end of the year, yeah,
something could be on the line forboth teams. Definitely for the Vikings,
but perhaps for both teams if theLions don't take care of business here
in the next few weeks. Okay, here's the other thing that I think

is funny. After this game.I hear prognosticators and analysts say, oh,
you just said you have to flushthis game, get it out of
your mind, and I say no, it should be on a loop in
the locker room. You should neverforget, right, like someone does something
bad to you and you just wantto play the replay. So you well,

I'm talking no, no, butthis a game that you were so
bad and didn't do anything right.You can't forget. You learn from your
mistakes well in a loop, especiallyfor Jamison Williams who failed to make a

makes millions of dollars. He uh, he didn't have the best of days
for sure. But you know it'sin ronder. You've been around the game

but let's say a player of similarcaliber, right, if you could
get him for a first round pick, Well, that player is going to
give you a lot more than thenumber twenty eight pick in the draft or
wherever the Lioness are going to bedrafting this year. It's a lot more
complicated than that, right, there'sa lot of you know, there's financial
components to that. The Lions aregoing to have to pay I'm on Ross
Saint Brown. They're gonna have topay Jared Goff after this season. So

whatever player they acquire, and againit's not a Max Crosby, you just
got paid, but you know,someone like that Danil Hunter from Minnesota was
a guy that was talked about asbeing on the trade block before the Vikings
win over the forty nine ers.So a player like that is going to
cost one first round pick plus something, and then if you want to keep
them and make them worth your wire, you're going to have to give them

a huge, huge contract. SoI don't know that the Lions, just
given the contracts they have coming up, I don't know how willing they would
be to pay a player of thatcaliber that you're going to have to give
up something that expensive for. ButI do think adding a player like that,

a month and a half ago almost, so you know he has a shot
to come back. Let's just saythe beginning of January, right, maybe
he's around for a playoff run.I don't think the injury situation will have
a huge impact other than to say, I do think the Lions could use
some help in the secondary right rightthere, without Emmanuel Moseley's done for the
year, say Gardner Johnson, wedon't know if or when he's going to
come back. They're pretty thin atcornerback. Beyond that, right, Jerry

Jacobs missed the game last week.He's going to be okay, but he
missed the game last week. Sothe Lions, they've been thinned enough in
the secondary that they certainly could addto that position. But I don't think
they're out looking for a running back. David Montgomery will be back soon.
I think it's more about if theyfind the right player that they think can
come in and seamlessly help this teamand have a big impact on the team

as well, because again, theyhave a pretty good roster right now,
like no huge glaring holes, andso if you're going to bring someone in,
you'll probably want that guy to bean impact guy, not just a
role play lay well. Also,the key to the to this team this
season is obviously their depth as welldefensively especially Yes, so, right,

and I think was last year didthere were a lot of trades in the
NFL more than usual, right,Because the NFL there's not really big trades.
No, it's like in the NBA, Baseball, NHL. Yeah,
there were a few more last year. And the Lions dealt TJ Hockinson last
year, right, So that's becausethey don't want to pay him a big
part of it, and in Minnesotadid And so that's why that sort of

that financial component has to match upwith with you know, the two teams
that are making the deal. Youknow. But I guess the point is
Brad has made these types of dealsbefore. You know, he's of the
new line of thinking that it's okayto deal at this time of year.
It's okay to change your roster,and it's okay to deal with a division
opponent. And we already know Chicago'snot going anywhere. I don't know that

Green Bay's going anywhere. Minnesota maybethey have new life all of a sudden,
but I think that opens up possibilitiesfor Brad Holmes when he's looking to
