they shut down another running game andTampa hadn't run the ball great Baker Mayfield
had a couple forty six yards total, but you know, to hold that
offense to six points, that's thesecond time they've held the team without a
touchdown this year, one of onlytwo teams in the NFL to do that
so far. So a lot ofpeople had questions about Aaron Glenn and this

defense going into the season. Youknow, whether they were going to be
able to really pick up from wherethey left off last year, whether they'd
be able to sustain that against goodteams. I don't know that Tampa's a
great team, but they are stillin first place in the NFC South.
So to go down there to dothat for the second time this season,
that's a feather in the Lion's cap. Feather in Aaron Glenn's cap is defensive
coordinator. I was impressed with tamdefense as well, because it was a

defensive struggle the first half of thegame, because the Lions couldn't run on
them either, right, no,all game. Look, that's the why
Tampa could be in the playoffs atthe end of the day, because they
do have a good defense, andthe Lions struggled, especially after David Montgomery
got hurt. I mean, evenwhen he was on the field, they
didn't move the ball great. Theyonly had the two touchdown drives and one

of those was not sort of along you know, heave ho from Jared
Goff to Jamison. The other camefrom Jamison Williams. He actually caught something.
Yeah, I have to say watchingthat, he actually made the adjustment
to make the catch checks which washe must have been practicing that, you
know, using those drugs machines onehundred something whatever. Anyway, well he

is he is an NFL player andmakes a million dollars, so of course
he should be making those kind ofcatches. But it was an impressive catch.
Listen, we I mean, weare quick to jump on Jamo when
things don't go right for him whenhe drops passes, and rightfully, so
twelve, you know, number twelveoverall pick. There should be high expectations
on this guy. Let's give himcredit for that catch. You know,
it was it was It was ahigh degree of difficulty. He's running looking

over his right shoulder, had toturn around, look over his left shoulder,
spun halfway around again to make thecatch with a defender. That was
you know just about drape Don him. So I was watching for my film
review that I'm going to do forWednesday on fruit dot com. Was I
was watching all the snaps Jamison hadplayed the first two weeks, and you
know the Lions are they're still givinghim only a very small role on offense.

I mean, he's not it's atrust issue. It's it really is
a trust to build it. Yeah, he does. And but a play
like that can help with that inRonda, maybe it helps as much as
anything with his confidence because watching himin pregame warm ups last week, I
watched him run five routes in pregamewarmups. He dropped three passes, dropped

two passes, another one was outof his reach but it hit his fingertips.
So out of those five, hecaught two balls. That's not good.
No in pregame warmups running running routeson air, I think I think
something has to be you know,it's sort of maybe like the yips and
golf, right where like you've hadthese drops and people are questioning you,
or in baseball when you can't throwit to first base. Yeah, so

maybe there's so I think maybe aplay like that a big touchdown. Maybe
that's what he needs to sort ofget this going. You remember Jamar Chase
with the Bengals a couple of yearsago. He had some drop problems in
the preseason, and now he's oneof the best receivers in the NFL.

out and that was the play ofthe game for I mean, look,

the Bugs tip the interception early on. The Lions really needed that because Mike
Evans was running deep, he wasgoing to be wide open. That's probably
a touchdown if Baker Mayfield throws thatpass. But the only touchdown of the
game up to that point until Jamison'scatch late was that one right there,
big third down conversion. It doesn'thappen unless Craig Reynolds comes out of the
backfield and lays that devastating him.Is Isaiah Bugs out of the doghouse?

Now, Yeah, it's kind ofyou know, I talked to him after
the game the other day, like, you know, is this a sense
of like I told you so,is there some you know, chip still
on your shoulder? And he's justsaid, you know, man, it's
maybe he's spewing the company line here, but he said he's bought in,
right. He's like, like,I'm buying into what the coaches, what
they say my role is. Andso he's back in their good graces.

They have a little three man rotationgoing at defensive tackle now with a Lee
McNeil, Bugs and Benito Jones.And you know, Bugs has played well
really since he's got back in thelineup. Let's review that he was in
the doghouse. He did not showup to off season workouts, right,
and he wasn't happy with the organization, and he was basically benched. Yeah,

I would say, I don't knowthat he wasn't happy with the organization.
He was not with his Yes,yeah, you're right, you're right
with his role this spring. Justto be clear, his wife was having
a baby. He stayed home.He didn't attend many of them. I
don't understand why they were mad atthat by and I don't know that they
were, but he thought they were. That was his impression of the whole
thing. And so he comes backto camp end of training camp. You

know, he's sort of playing secondstring behind Benito Jones. Like those tackles
you usually only bring one to agame, you know, right, So
he was inactive early on, hasbeen back in the lineup and has been
playing well. He's playing over LeviOnzerique, who you know, they gave
some snaps too early in the season. You know, a big part of
that run defense that is one ofthe best in the NFL right now,

it is I think it is thebest in the NFL. Right now,
now, speaking of the run game, David Montgomery went down in the second
quarter with a rib injury and acart Now it's cartilage. I don't I'm
not a doctor, so I don'tknow what express last night? Can you
play one? It's you know,I mean these Matthew Stafford had this sort

of injury a few years back.It's a tough thing to play with just
because it's constant pain, right,and if you get hit you can't breathe,
right, I mean for a runningback, right, yeah, taking
shots there all the time, right, So he's going to be down.

his ankle. No, it doesn'tsay hurt, and he doesn't say injured,

like Lions fans at these places.And it's really I think we talked about
this last week, like it's fomo, it's fear of missing out. People
want to be a part of it. They're going on the road. If
you're living in those locales, you'regoing to these games. And and you
know Chicago, that's going to bea Lion's home game. There's not going

to be any Bears fans going tosee them play outdoors in December. So
there's a lot of there's a lotof Lions fans out there and they're coming
out and drove droves to support thisteam. But back to them being this
NFC Championship contender favorite, I don'tknow they're there's a good chance. I
think they end up with the bestrecord in the NFC. The Eagles have

a murderous skal. Their schedule isso I mean, I could say it's
easy because you know that the NFCis so NFC North is so bad this
year because they still have two againstthe Vikings, one against Green Bay,
two against the Bears. The Bears, so they play the Ravens this week,

Hype train needs to stop. Whyyou don't like the hype train.
It's a pre season thing. It'sover right, So yeah, I mean,
I guess, I mean the hypeis there, but I think it's
the context it was used was offseason. Well, now they're in season
and they're proving right now that thehype train is real. So I think

definitely more than hype. I mean, they are legit, right, Hype
