up or want to come, up something the state legislature
could potentially. Do WHEN i was a kid growing, up
a lot of The columbus schools were actually pretty, good functional,
schools and if you had more educated or professional, couples

kids to. Them now it's to the point, where for
the most, part you have some nicer areas In columbus
and virtually none of the parents send their kids To columbus.
Schools almost all the. Kids like in my, neighborhoods The South,

side it was a pretty good, area and then it
went a little rough in the forties and fifties and
then the, sixties and then in the seventies it sort
of came back and they're. Nice so you have a
lot of very nice, homes very nice, couples professional, people highly,
educated so on and so, forth and virtually none of
them when their kids get to be more than two

or three years, old they just. Flee they'll either leave
or they'll send their kids To catholic, Schools christian, schools
or private, schools but Not columbus.

Schools and the very ste Of columbus schools, is in your, opinion.

It's, bureaucratic somewhat, corrupt and they set low standards and
they don't have a so discipline In, therefore but if
the state legislature could pass a law of, it you're
allowed to secede from a school. District for Example, Berwick,
Clintonville German village. Area there's some other areas In. Columbus

if they were allowed to split off and form their
own school, district the parents wouldn't feel forced to. FLEE
a lot of these are they're million dollar, homes but
they flee because the school system is no, good or
they just send them To wellington Her academy or. Something
the state legislature could pass something to allow rather than

have the whole district messed up with a few charters
or a few lottery school, exumptions which is, crazy let
the better areas form their own district and then parents
could stay and the city could, revive and then you'll
still have to figure out the ifi areas what he
going to do with? Them?

Right that's that's the PROB i understand what you're saying and.
Don't it's not THAT i disagree with, you but there's
going to be kids that are going to go to
the you, know quote unquote rough schools or rough. Areas
how to fix that is not an easy it's not

think about because there's bureaucracy and lulls and things you

That it's similar to the issue with policing where there's
there's a couple Of krogers around us and one a
few days, ago there's Two krogers around. Us they both
have private. Security one of the private security at one
of the. Stores they're all ex, military they're built like

bricks something. Houses they carry all kinds of weapons with.
Us they're very, nice but you do not want to
mess with, them and they're very strict and they keep.
Order and the other one it's private, security but there's
sort of more laid back and they're not like in
the greatest shape and they're not heavily armed and blah blah.
Blah at the one where they're not such vigorous, enforcement

and we caught this sort of. ONLINE a guy came.
In he's been kicked out six or seven. TIMES i
think it's probably the usual thing like. Homeless, said, well
there's a lot of homeless people that need to be
institutionalized because they're just whack of doodles and they're out of. It,
right he's been kicked out six or seven. Times he

refused to leave the private. SECURITY i think they were
going to call the, police but this private security guy
tried to escort him out and he bit the guy's finger. Off,
yeah we were.

Talked about that the other. Day it's not, buddy BUT
i just never WOULD i read it the absurdity of
a security guard getting their thumb bit. OFF i was
taking aback because it happened at A.

Kroger's, YEAH i guess the point is this is not
a one time. Thing this is like a regular occurrence with,
this and there's a lot of folks like. That back
in the nineteen seventies On Broad street that you go
up the big hill to the west, side they have
the largest collection of brick buildings in the, world even

bigger than The, Pentagon and it was The State institution
for the Mentally disturbed, people whatever you want to call,
it and they knocked it down and basically, said you're all,
free you're. Cured, no they're just wandering around the big
cities half out of, it with no. Care and that's another.

Thing the state legislature and The president signed his executive
order on that. Issue what are you going to do
with half a million or a million just totally out of?
It people just wandering, around a danger to themselves and
a danger to, Others and so far no one's done
anything about, it and the police don't want to deal with,
it and the courts don't want to deal with. It

the police don't like to deal with it because they
usually have mursa and bugs and germs and all kinds
of nasty, stuff and the courts will just toss them.
Out and they're risking your life every time they have
to grab these people and do, something and they'll just
go back to their little under the bridge or something
and do the same thing the next day and the
next day and the next.

Day, yeah it's a it's a difficult thing to deal
with because how do you take, somebody let's, say if
they're HALFWAY i thought about trying to be rude here
competent and they don't want to go into a. Facility
at what point are you taking somebody's freedom away as
opposed to somebody who absolutely needs help but doesn't know
they need. Help it's there's a fine line, there And

i'm not an expert on, it AND i don't know
how far to go with. That so that's probably one
of the reason we have these people that are out.

There there's treatment that, works but you have to want
to do. It years, back we met Ken By, tell
who ran his Own independence homeless, shelter and he, said he,
said the trouble with most of the homeless shelters and
things is there's a hierarchy in the homeless. Shelters you

have the people that are strung out on drugs and
they're at the top of the ladder and they beat
up and bully and steal from everyone below. Them and
the next on the ladder are the people with alcohol
issues that are picked on by the drug, people but
they pick on and bully and steal from everyone.

The next on the ladder is the mental health but he,
said at the bottom of the ladder is the otherwise
legitimate guy who got laid off by his, job so
he can't afford to live in his, house and he's
well behaved and all, that but they don't want to
be in the homeless shelders because they're picked on by
the whack of, doodles right, Right so what do you?

Do you just you end up have people on the.

Street, yeah plenty of empty plenty of empty warehouses and
things that could be fixed up to give some safe.
Place and they need. Security.

to deal with people who have mental problems that that
lead them to being on the. STREET i don't know the.
ANSWER i do know that we could probably take some

of the money and build shelters or maybe you call
them psychiatric facilities maybe to help people and fund them
instead of maybe spending three million dollars on three toilets
in Downtown. Columbus that's just an. Idea maybe maybe that's just,
me and maybe that would be a better use of.

debt against that. Sheriff, well that sheriff contacted people in the,
community and guess what. Happened the people in the church

friends everyone back down to help him to stand up
to these four people coming after. Him and then basically
no one was sent from other states to help, him
so he was alone in. Isolated his wife even left.
