trickiest thing is something that you never could have think

league affiliates halfway across the country or all the way

practice time and keeping guys fresh and how they're going
to do this and Allowing joey De cord to establish
himself as a true number one starter and getting the
work needed so that he can accomplish. THAT i think
that stuff is kind of hard to execute, Too So

tuesday and there's all those days, off you, know and
then The rangers come, in and then you move forward
With chicago and Then San. JOSE i MEAN i played

after two days, off The New York rangers after three days, Off,

i think is the. Cord because all the great, goalies
and hopefully this this young goalie will continue to take
steps and in a few years we'll be talking about
how great he is because he has that. Potential but
all the great ones respond after a sour. Game and you,

Know joey put himself in a couple of tough spots In.
Philadelphia there are a couple of Goals i'm sure he'd
like to have, back and there were situations that he
could do nothing. About but when you allow five and
you only get through two periods that you have stings your,
identity that's the blow to your ego that's gonna that's
gonna humble. You and then you see how the mental

was a plus plus across the. Board from the very
beginning of the. Game he was dialed. In he, was

EXCEPTIONAL i, mean when when he's handling it like, that you,

getting out of your zone and getting out cleanly and

the puck at the other end of the rink so

can live with some of his, gaps AND i think as,
fans we're going to have to live with some of
that because when you handle it as he, does which

Well the first day of training, camp we all knew
there's a new. Sheriff but when you say, that you,
know it sounds, stern and it sounds, Like, okay here
comes a no nonsense guy going to lay the law
down and this is my. Way you guys are going
to play this, way and if you, don't it's going
to be, punitive and we're going to skate and we're

going to do those. Things you, know those days are
kind of long. Gone he is a demanding, coach don't
get me, Wrong but his, details his, presentation and the
organization of the, players it leads to tremendous buy. In
SO i just, felt and we talked about this last
season over and over again that what happened to The

kraken because of their defensive alignment, miscues how they were
attempting to play offensively whatever it, is it led to
a disconnection which made the players become mentally vacant in my,
opinion by the end of the. Season you, know let's
buy a large the same. Roster and the turnaround has
been dramatic because now these, GUYS i see it When

i'm around. Them they have. Life they have a jump
in their step, again and they had it the first
three days of training camp because they know how to
play and they understand they need to build trust with each,
other you, know to play effective in all three zones
of the. Rink and that's basically what he's. Doing there's
no surprises. Here you, know hockey is. Hockey it always has,

been and hockey has always been a game that you
play from your defensive zone. Out that's how you do.
It that's the quote unquote right way to play. Hockey
and that's what they're, doing you. Know but it's leading
them to look good defensively in their own, ends look
really good through the middle of the, ice look out
standing on the way back where they sort out and
get in, position and they're not, scrambling and they're really.

Good and they're starting to get even better on the
fortune and you know what that's going to come and.
Go But i'll tell you what that's going to help
them with the with the, scheduling with the road, travel
with the, fatigue with. Injuries you, know you look at
all the guys that are. Out how do you? Win,
well you absolutely have to have great, goaltending But joey

a team win and. Win joey did his. Job he
didn't make fifty saves and it was all. Him this
was a team, game and that team, GAME i believe
will finally help them at, home because that's the next.

and get on a run and reward the fans that
come to watch you. Play and even in the second
year the team struggled at. Home even when they had

the morning off and would like to stay home and

the fact that they're in the building BECAUSE i think
it gets them in the mindset of this is where we,
play this is where we're going to play in a few,
hours this is how the ice. FEELS i have heard
from a couple of guys that there are, differences And
i'm not sure what they are because the both teams
play on the same ice, surface SO i never talk

about the conditions of the, ice whether it's positive or.
Negative there's a difference BETWEEN casei And Climate. Pledge so
if that's the, case then sure you should be playing
on the same or practicing in the morning on the
same pond you're playing at it. Night don't let the
opponents do. That SO i think it's kind of a mixed.

AND i watched them throughout the playoffs last, year you,

you just take with a grain of salt and just

organization of the, players it leads to tremendous buy. In
SO i just, felt and we talked about this last
season over and over again that what happened to The

kraken because of their defensive alignment, miscues how they were
attempting to play offensively whatever it, is it led to
a disconnection which made the players become mentally vacant in my,
opinion by the end of the. Season you, know let's
buy a large the same. Roster and the turnaround has
been dramatic because now these, GUYS i see it When

i'm around. Them they have. Life they have a jump
in their step, again and they had it the first
three days of training camp because they know how to
play and they understand they need to build trust with each,
other you, know to play effective in all three zones
of the. Rink and that's basically what he's. Doing there's
no surprises. Here you, know hockey is. Hockey it always has,

been and hockey has always been a game that you
play from your defensive zone. Out that's how you do.
It that's the quote unquote right way to play. Hockey
and that's what they're, doing you. Know but it's leading
them to look good defensively in their own, ends look
really good through the middle of the, ice look out
standing on the way back where they sort out and
get in, position and they're not, scrambling and they're really.

Good and they're starting to get even better on the
fortune and you know what that's going to come and.
Go But i'll tell you what that's going to help
them with the with the, scheduling with the road, travel
with the, fatigue with. Injuries you, know you look at
all the guys that are. Out how do you? Win,
well you absolutely have to have great, goaltending But joey

from a couple of guys that there are, differences And

play on the same ice, surface SO i never talk

about the conditions of the, ice whether it's positive or.
Negative there's a difference BETWEEN casei And Climate. Pledge so
if that's the, case then sure you should be playing
on the same or practicing in the morning on the
same pond you're playing at it. Night don't let the
opponents do. That SO i think it's kind of a mixed.
