And the cracking power PLAYLASD.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
This is the Krek Postgame Show, brought to you by
Toyota of Olympia. Now for an in depth look at
your Kraken Hockey, It's the post Game. I'm the Global
Credit Union Kraken Audio Network for the.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Final time tonight, Welcome back inside of Ubs Arena here
in Elmont, New York on Long Island alongside Alkoniski, I
am Everett fits you. It does not get any more
heartbreaking than this one. A one nothing shootout loss for
the Seattle cracking Joey Decord, the thirty five saves shutout.

(00:38):
This does go down as a shootout loss for Decord,
but he also gets credited with a shutout as well
here tonight. So I guess a very small small consolation prize,
but defensively Seattle shutting down thirty five shots for the
New York Islanders. They had some chances all throughout nineteen

(00:59):
shots along goal in this game, and I think for me,
you know, they were able to stay out of the box.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
They were able to get some chances.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
If I had to nitpick and find one area that
you want to see improved on, you need more.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
Than nineteen shots yeah, Well, you need more high danger
shots for sure, for sure, and I think that to
quality over quantity. Yeah, but both teams were struggling finding those.
I think I think it ended ended up pretty close
in terms of high danger. Seattle was ahead near the
end six to five for the game and had more
in the third period. But I think that in a
second of a back to back for both teams, I'm

(01:32):
not surprised to see some of the stats like that
where you've got low shots on goal for Seattle, you've
got a ton of giveaways from both sides, almost get
into forty in total, just you know, typical for a
second and a back to back, But neither team could
push the pace enough to expose that. I don't know,
call it exhaustion or whatever you want to call it.
In the second of a back to back, neither team

(01:54):
could expose that enough to generate goals from it.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
I think today the story for me was Joey Decurt.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Philip Rubauer has been stellar his last few outings, and
then Joey Decord. I think tonight this is the game
that he needed. Vintage Joey, if you will, what we're
used to.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Seeing out of him. He kept this team in it.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
I thought defensively, there weren't too many lapses for the
Kraken despite it being game two of a back to back.
And like I said, it's hard for me to find
anything really wrong with Seattle's game other than they just
didn't score a goal.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Yeah, I agree. I think that Joey Decord was a
standout for me as well. I think the defensive structure
of the Seattle Kracking over this entire road trip was
a big part of every game, and it was a
big part tonight as well, because it's very easy to
get stepped on if you don't play good defensive structure
in a second of a back to back, and you
saw it here over three periods.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
So Kraken now have points in six of their last
seven games for one and two in that time. Both
of the two are shootout losses to Columbus and now
Here to the New York.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
So now we return home on.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Thanksgiving Eve Gravy Boat for the first ten thousand fans
through the door. It's also another Third Jersey Night presented
by Muckle Shoot Indian Tribe, Seattlecracken dot com slash tickets.
A very light schedule coming up for Seattle, which is
good for them.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
I think that's been very clustered early on here.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
The Kraken are going to have three games now over
their next ten games ten days rather Wednesday at home
against Dallas, Saturday afternoon at home against Edmonton, and then
the following Thursday in Edmonton. What what are you most
looking for for this team over these next three games,
but also now some chance to rest, maybe Jared mccannon

(03:42):
can come back.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Waiting for him.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
What's gonna be the big factor of the big key
for you between now and December?

Speaker 1 (03:49):
First, Yeah, I.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Think that where you've got this exceptional part of the
schedule where you've got some extra time to recover, a
little bit to work on a few things, to get
maybe Jared mccamm back, to get a date on Coppococo
on how he's progressive, maybe we see him in a
red jersey soon, you know, updates on Matt Murray. I
think that's what I'm looking for over this period of time.

(04:10):
And obviously some more good hockey where this team starts
to continue to separate themselves from others in the division,
others in the conference, well.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
The crack and continuing to pick up points they now
have got twenty eight points on the year, eleven to
five and six in a tie for second place in
the Pacific Division.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Out over to you, well, key takeaways from me is
that once again that defensive structure led to a defensive
stalemate over over sixty minutes. And it's exactly the way
the Krack and like to play hockey. Take their chances
when they get them, but always a defensive first mentality.
The second of a back to back, again, the stats
reflected that both in the limited number, very low number

(04:50):
of takeaways and the very high number of giveaways, high
dator chances were tough to find the first half of
the game, but Kracking made a push in the third
period and equalized that particular stat. Big game by Joey
Decord stopping thirty four of thirty four getting the shutout.
That was huge here tonight. And one last thing I'll
say coming into the game. Seattle has in the first
twenty one games improved their points percentage by eighteen percent

(05:15):
over where they were last year, fourth best in the league.
The only three others that have done better over that
first twenty one games are Colorado, San Jose and Chicago.
So you gotta be happy with where they are right now.
We're a quartered away into the season. You put that
first quarter away and you start looking to the next quarter.
Three Steed three stars tonight brought to you by Mamakay.
Third Star tonight goes to Kyle Paul Mary. He had

(05:37):
the game winning goal in the shootout. And I could
probably let you guess who the second and third stars
were tonight based on this defensive game. Joey Decord was
your second Star. He had the shutout tonight, stopping thirty
four of thirty four. The shootout goal does not count,
and the number one Star was David Riddick at the
other end, stopping nineteen of nineteen.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
That'll do it for us from Long Island.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Crack and fall one nothing in a shootout, couple of
days off, and then back home for Thanksgiving Eve. Some
great seats still available for the Dallas Stars Seattlecracking dot
com slash tickets.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Show up early.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
The first ten thousand fans get a Cracking gravy boat.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Actually the first.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Nine ninety eight, if we're taking one ups, they may
be a couple missing. Show up early, get you a
gravy boat. Cracking Stars coming up. On Wednesday, But for now,
Mike Benton will take you the rest of the way.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
Save me one here, fellows, thank you very much, appreciated
great calls, save travels as well, and a tough way
to end it here because you had fans right back
here at Tom's watch bar on the edge of their
seat here for tonight ten of twenty two games. Can
you believe it have gone to overtime in this one?
Going down to literally the thinnest of margins, bohor Vat
kept the shootout alive and then Kyle Palmery finished it.

(06:51):
But when you consider this road trip, the cracking getting
five points out of a possible eight, do you take
it very likely? Your answer is yeah. So they fall
one nothing here in a shootout of the Islanders today
at Ubs Arena, but we'll come back home as well,
one point back of first place in the Pacific divisionist
Joey to Cord technically picks up the shutout here That

(07:13):
goal bye Paul Mary, and the shootout does not count.
So it is the seventh It is NHL career with
a crack in falling today one nothing in a shootout
against the New York Islanders.

Speaker 6 (07:23):
Again we are.

I know I want one.

Speaker 5 (10:10):
Everett now certainly want one as well too, They said
so a few moments ago. Let's past ten seconds for
Station ID on the Global Credit Union Crack and Audio Network. Well,
you could tell the Kraken we're in it to win
it all the way to the very end. But energy
is certainly at a premium here for the second game
of back to back in Unfortunately, they must wait another

(10:30):
day to get that elusive win in the second leg
of back to Back, but able to force overtime once
again and bag points when they need them, They'll go
to bed this evening fresh off the plane one point
back of first place in the Pacific Division as the
Islanders survive this one over the Crack and one nothing
the final in a shootout in the first matchup of

(10:51):
the season, and the Cracking closing out their four game
road trip at two one and one.

Speaker 6 (10:56):
Mike betting again with you back in Seattle.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
Live a Tom's Watch bar as a Crack and move
their record to eleven five and six twenty eight points
on the year, and the Islanders improving to thirteen eight
and two they have twenty eight points as well, finishing
off their second of seven games in a row here
at home, and the Kraken record now moving to six

(11:19):
to two and one all time against the Islanders, seeing
their four game win streak in the season. Scenery in
the season series snapped here on this Sunday time. Now
for the highlights to this Seattle Kraken Drive to the
Net scoring recamp is brought to you by the all
News Chevy Tracks now bigger and Boulder Tracks is a
perfect assist for all of life's adventures. The Kraken would

(11:41):
need Joey de Cord also with some big saves, how
soon would they need them?

Speaker 6 (11:46):
In Period one, the.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
Islanders to center bouncing puck to the left wing corner
Matthew Barzal and front tell the slot for me and
a massive save by Joey Decord.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
Wow, he came out and attack that shot, took away
all the angles from Lee and ended up kicking that
rate in the bread basket.

Speaker 5 (12:03):
Joey to Court, a big reason why the Crack and
are hanging around to the mix right now in the
Western Conference. And at that point the Islanders had out
shot the Crack in eighty four and that was one
of eleven saves that the Cord turned in for the
first period to keep it nothing nothing opposing David Riddick
and Nett neither goaltender blinking through two periods in a
nothing nothing tie. Low event here to the point as well,

(12:26):
where both teams committing just one penalty each through forty
minutes of play, and the penalty kill helping out their cause.
Third period low event hockey more of it. The Islanders
out shot the Kraken eleven to eight to force overtime
once again, and the Islanders with heavy possession in sudden
depth ot but also compounding problems, Randon montur ofted the

(12:50):
box for slashing at four forty one of overtime. But
what would the Cord do to keep this game alive?

Speaker 3 (12:57):
Chandler Stevenson lost a face off Schaeffer left side Barzel,
Schaeffer back to Barzel, Fanning on the shot. Barzel to
the high slot, sends it across one to save by
towing the cord on bowl Hornbat.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Oh good, now this one cleared all the way down
the ice.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
We're going to a shootout here on Long Island.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
Well, you could tell from that play the face off
win was so critical and the Kraken just trying to
buckle up from there. The Islanders got what they wanted,
setting a bullhor Bat in the fourteen goals. He had
to win in the ot period, but again to Cord,
a terrific performance to technically earn the shutout. No goals
allowed through regulation and overtime, the shootout would be required

(13:41):
here for these two teams. Third time the Kracking going
to a shootout this season. It looked good early, Freddie
Goodrou getting a goal in round one, but bull Horvat
save the Islanders, scoring in the bottom of round three,
the Krack and misfiring in the fourth round, leaving it
up here to Kyle Palmery Isle Paul.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Now for the Islanders, I'll marry the righty. It's the signal.
Picks up the buck on the forehead.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
He's got speed, left circle, far side cluss back to
the middle.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
Hey shot, He scores and the Islanders get the extra point.
They win this game won.

Speaker 5 (14:20):
Nothing hit a shootout, certainly a tough way to end
it here as a crack and fall to zero and
three in a shootout, and well, this one going down
to the Finnis of Margins deciding it is certainly told
that story here for today as bo Horvap putting one
off the crossbar and in otherwise the Krack can win
this one, and then the door open for Kyle Paul

(14:42):
Mary who finishes this one in the fourth round of
shootout play as a crack and fall one nothing to
the Islanders in a shootout at Ubs Arena, the road
trip again finishing for the Kraken add two to one
and one. They have twenty eight points once more, and
we'll come back home first, one point back of first
place in the Pacific Division. Joey to cordon Net, turning

(15:03):
in thirty four saves. It is the seventh shutout of
his NHL career second this season. And for the Cracking defensively, well,
good news. They're holding firm right now at five on
five even overall as well. Ever since that road trip
opener loss against Detroit, losing four to two, they have
allowed just two goals of five on five period in

(15:24):
three games. They have allowed just five goals overall as well.
But today offense is a bit hard to come by
here at Ubs Arena, the win in net going to
David Riddick.

Speaker 6 (15:36):
Nineteen saves on nineteen shots.

Speaker 5 (15:38):
Final shots on net in favor of the Islanders at
thirty four to nineteen. The Crack can go over one
on the man and vanage and the Islanders held to
over two on the power play. Time now for the
Corps lights chill us moments up the game. Cracking fans,
you can win your chance to sit in the Corps
lights silver seats go to course light dot com forward
slash yellow Cracking to enter. Must be twenty one years

(15:59):
of age, No purchase necessary, Course Light juice chill celebrate
responsibly flashing bat to period two. It was a play
like this that certainly to find a defensive tone of
this game.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
The Angelo up the middle Callum Ritchie drops it back
to Adam Pellett up now for Shabanov, less circle. Shabanov
shoots man, Adam Larsen gets that big stick in the
way Handlal deflect it out of play.

Speaker 6 (16:25):
Filling shot lane is a big story of this one.

Speaker 5 (16:27):
That was one of two block shots that Larsen had
here for today the crack and blocking twenty three shots
as well, and led in that category by Brandon Montour
who had four the crack and also finding their open
shot lanes and chances.

Speaker 6 (16:41):
Right here in period three.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Al Sizekis could find the bucks. Shane Wright two on
two drops to Newman.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
Across the caton for a drive on the left side,
and that one handled and held by David Riddick.

Speaker 5 (16:55):
You figured that it's a matter of time for Berkeley
Catton to pick up his first career NHL goal.

Speaker 6 (17:00):
He was so close right there.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
He also fired two or three shots on net, but
with that David Rittick helping take care of it after
a cat and earning a good look to keep that
game at nothing nothing, eventually leading us all the way
into the shootout stages that brings us down to the
big win brought to you by the Evergreen Council on
Problem gambling. Early game today in Buffalo with the Savers

(17:22):
trying to keep their riots going in right now in
the Eastern Conference, inspiring.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
At the far point, Sucker, Hello, the goal one untouched.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
Here's the Sentry Patscors great plenty with Quin going to
the net.

Speaker 12 (17:35):
That line was tossing it around and the Savers are
up two to one.

Speaker 5 (17:40):
Dan Dunlevy had the call there TV side for MSG
on radio also WGR Sports Radio five fifty as Jack
Quinn picked up the game winning goal in the two
hundredth NHL game. The Savers knock off the Hurricanes four
to one earlier today and can you believe this? There
are just three points out of a playoff spot right now.
Taste Thom's and also pushing his goal street to six

(18:02):
consecutive games. The Savers, at nine to nine and four,
have won four of their last five games. Welcome back
