the Kraken close out with four goals in the final
twenty minutes and they get five an answered goals this evening,
five to one victory, and they've even this season series
up at one apiece and are now seven to zero
and one of their last eight games in.

I mean, they're playing fantastic hockey right now, a very
structured game. They're playing the lane Lampert system that's been
brought in, and they're playing deep as well, and it's
paying off.
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Philip Grubauer was without question, one of the most remarkable
that we saw on the ice here for tonight and
one of the more remarkable games here that we saw
here for this season. He turned in a forty one
safe effort as well. But you go back and think
where this game could have gotten well off the tracks
that penalty shot he had again shot at the Hubert.
He kind of got a sense it began to turn

the tide a little bit and the Krack and made
the appropriate adjustments. Between periods one and two.

Yeah, they absolutely did, and you know, not surprisingly, the
home team came out flying there in the first period.
They got the first goal the game, first time in
the last eight games where the crack and haven't gotten
that first goal. But they bent but did not break,
as we often say, coming back in that second period,
Jacob Mallonson getting his first goal in the NHL to
tie things up, and then that third period it was
all cracking putting it away from goals from right done

Jacob Mallonson picking up the first goal of his NHL
career and a goal that he won't ever forget for
the rest of his entire life. Freddie Goodroux also with won,

line and the damage that they do physically, Yet they
were finding ways took a tribute offensively once again. They

Yeah, listen, you know, when the fourth line can contribute offensively,
they're playing at a level that's higher than what you know,
what's expected. What's expected is that they don't hurt you defensively,
so you know, they don't give up goals, they don't
give up bad plays. They play structured hockey, they play
the system, and when they can get an opportunity to
get some offensive going they do. This let line is

going to the next level where they're they're not only
competing in those initial areas I mentioned about, but they
are contributing offensively, especially when it's the first goal of
the game, when you're down a goal, to get the
momentum going in the right direction like that Mallonson goal
did to J Mikey.

What'd you make out of the discipline side of this,
given the fact that Calgary got just one power play
here for this evening.

Yeah, again, big part of you know that the structure
of this team, they do play a discipline game game,
which is difficult if you're expecting a very physical game,
specifically from your fourth line, but across all of the lines,
you know, it's difficult to play that way and stay
out of the box, and the Crack is showing tonight
that that they can do that again.

Calgary's only goal on the board of Adam Klapka back
at six thirty three here period one, Jonathan Huberto had
a penalty shot up and the Krack and taken off
after that. With goals by Jacob Alanson, Shane Wright, Vince Dunn,

Yeah, I thought we just stuck with it all night

and we just stuck with it and kind of took
control as the game went along.

How important, Benny, is that first goal of the game
when obviously you didn't get it like you have for
the last eight games, But getting that tying goal obviously
from your line Melons to getting his first NHL how
important is that and what does that do for the
team on the bench?

Obviously you're always trying to get off to a good
start and then it's not gonna happen every time. But yeah,
that was a great response from mel there and awesome

a little bit here. But how has this team been
adapted here to that second game of back to back recently?

Yeah, obviously got a lot of them are on our
schedule right now, and yeah, you know, I think we've
we've played them well so far. And uh, you know,
we don't make any excuses going into these games, and
you know we're gonna get our best effort every night.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
So, Benny, I talked about that first goal Melly's first NHL,
but it was actually the Shane Raikal that you assisted
on that ended up being the game winning goal. Walk
us through that. What did you see out there on
that play?
Speaker 10 (08:17):
Yeah, I think it was Canner made a nice play
in the D zone. And I ended up getting the
puck and it looked like the you know, one of
their d had a bad gap and then Shane just
made a great drive to the net and beat everybody
and I was able to get it to him.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
You put it right on his tape.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
Great, great play again the Crack and win five one
on this one. A very fired up blocker room and

Yeah, absolutely, key takeaways. I started riding these early in
the in the game, but uh, you know, not a
great start for the Crack and giving up that first
goal by Calgary on the Klapka you know tip in
the air was a little different for them. They had
back from some adversity here tonight, which they did. Grubauer
a fantastic game for them, specifically the hero do penalty
shot that was unsuccessful because he made a great save

on fourth line. Continuing to contribute that first goal by Milanson.
Three more points in total for that line tonight, so
that was huge Grewauer ending with going back to Grubauer
ending with a ninety seven to six save percentage and
stopping forty one of forty two was absolutely a key takeaway.
And then I love that some kind of wonderful going
in the background as well. So three stars were brought

and the boys play clean, smart hockey with the lead
and the floodgates open for four goals in period three
to seal the dub and now with points in eight straight.

Just like that, Seattle is in third place in the
Pacific Division and only one point back from first place Vegas.
It's runs like these that prove massive when fighting for
playoff spots in such a tight race in the West
String Conference. So how did it all go down? Let's

across the grease to Malonson on the far side. Blonson

Yeah, that's Jacob Malonson's first NHL goal. After the Adam
Klapka goal to get it started and Seattle would answer
back and like I said, his first NHL goal for
Jacob Malanson from Ryan Winterton to seventeen into the second
period after the Flames took a one zero lead heading
into period two. That's not points in four straight for
Jacob Malanson and Ryan Winterton is the fourth line once

again comes up huge and we stayed tied at one
heading to period three. I know it's weird to look
at that, and you look at the final score, but
let's head to period three and Shane Wright, on his
twenty second birthday, came up huge with.

Rumon left wing, Myers under the zone, passing front to right.

He's gons eighteen oh three left and period three, birthday
boy on the spot, he ain't right driving the front

go go, and he flies down that left side. He
puts a saucer pass cross legs for Shane Wright to

Just a massive goal from Shame Wright on his birthday
from Ben Myers at one fifty seven in period three
and gave the crack and the lead and they would
not look back. But they weren't done yet because Vince
Dunn gave them an extra buffer later on in period three.

structured game. They're playing the lane Lampert system that's been
brought in, and they're playing deep as well, and it's

Philip Grubauer was without question, one of the most remarkable
that we saw on the ice here for tonight and
one of the more remarkable games here that we saw
here for this season. He turned in a forty one
safe effort as well. But you go back and think
where this game could have gotten well off the tracks
that penalty shot he had again shot at the Hubert.
He kind of got a sense it began to turn

the tide a little bit and the Krack and made
the appropriate adjustments. Between periods one and two.

Yeah, they absolutely did, and you know, not surprisingly, the

tie things up, and then that third period it was

Yeah, listen, you know, when the fourth line can contribute offensively,
they're playing at a level that's higher than what you know,
what's expected. What's expected is that they don't hurt you defensively,
so you know, they don't give up goals, they don't
give up bad plays. They play structured hockey, they play
the system, and when they can get an opportunity to
get some offensive going they do. This let line is

going to the next level where they're they're not only
competing in those initial areas I mentioned about, but they
are contributing offensively, especially when it's the first goal of
the game, when you're down a goal, to get the
momentum going in the right direction like that Mallonson goal
did to J Mikey.

What'd you make out of the discipline side of this,
given the fact that Calgary got just one power play
here for this evening.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Yeah, again, big part of you know that the structure
of this team, they do play a discipline game game,
which is difficult if you're expecting a very physical game,
specifically from your fourth line, but across all of the lines,
you know, it's difficult to play that way and stay
out of the box, and the Crack is showing tonight
that that they can do that again.

Calgary's only goal on the board of Adam Klapka back
at six thirty three here period one, Jonathan Huberto had
a penalty shot up and the Krack and taken off
after that. With goals by Jacob Alanson, Shane Wright, Vince Dunn,

How important, Benny, is that first goal of the game

the last eight games, But getting that tying goal obviously
from your line Melons to getting his first NHL how
important is that and what does that do for the
team on the bench?

Obviously you're always trying to get off to a good
start and then it's not gonna happen every time. But yeah,
that was a great response from mel there and awesome

we've played them well so far. And uh, you know,
we don't make any excuses going into these games, and
you know we're gonna get our best effort every night.

So, Benny, I talked about that first goal Melly's first NHL,
but it was actually the Shane Raikal that you assisted
on that ended up being the game winning goal. Walk
us through that. What did you see out there on
that play?

Yeah, I think it was Canner made a nice play
in the D zone. And I ended up getting the
puck and it looked like the you know, one of
their d had a bad gap and then Shane just
made a great drive to the net and beat everybody
and I was able to get it to him.

great start for the Crack and giving up that first
goal by Calgary on the Klapka you know tip in
the air was a little different for them. They had
back from some adversity here tonight, which they did. Grubauer
a fantastic game for them, specifically the hero do penalty
shot that was unsuccessful because he made a great save

on fourth line. Continuing to contribute that first goal by Milanson.
Three more points in total for that line tonight, so
that was huge Grewauer ending with going back to Grubauer

Klapka goal to get it started and Seattle would answer
back and like I said, his first NHL goal for
Jacob Malanson from Ryan Winterton to seventeen into the second

Jacob Malanson and Ryan Winterton is the fourth line once

again comes up huge and we stayed tied at one
heading to period three. I know it's weird to look
at that, and you look at the final score, but
let's head to period three and Shane Wright, on his
twenty second birthday, came up huge with.
