Seattle on the ears side race forthe fuck You're come crook strand up the
left side walks in. This isthe Kraken Postgame Show, brought to you
by Francis Coppola Diamond Collection Wines. It's the post game on the Emerald Queen
Casino Krakenn Audio Network for the finaltime this season. Welcome back inside of
(00:22):
Climate plaig Arena alongside al Kiniski,I am everet fits to the Seattle Kracken,
falling in their home finale three toone to the San Jose Sharks.
But Al it was not for lackof trying the Kracket, putting fifty shots
on net only one getting through.Yeah, frustrating. It's frustrated as a
player when you feel like you hadenough opportunities to not only be in this
(00:45):
game, but win it. BryanDublin the lone goal scorer here tonight for
the Seattle Kraken. As the teamwill filter back on to the ice,
They're gonna do a full team salmontoss here and we'll go down to the
BA announcer in a moment when wedo the Kraken Season Awards. But I
mean, there's so much to beproud of and thankful for this year.
(01:06):
Obviously, the year did not gothe way that the team wanted, that
the fans and the organization wanted, but we have an NHL team here in
Seattle, and for the strides thatwere made continuing to be made in the
community, there really isn't a wholelot of bad you can say, maybe
outside of that final record. Wellit's luck. I talked about Derro in
(01:27):
the pregame, which is sometimes thatsting of not making the playoffs in your
third year makes you a better teamin your fourth year. You always want
to be building and certain that youexpected to do just that and go on
to the playoffs again this year. But you know sometimes that sting will pay
dividends down the road. Let's nowto asston chep you can and for tonight's
player Awards Player Awards. Our firstaward is the Guy Ofielder Award, awarded
(01:56):
to the player the best exhibits thequalities of perseverance, hustle, and dedication
to hockey, as voted on byKRACKING players. This year's winner is Jaden
Swart. The Pete Muldoon Most ValuablePlayer awarded annually to the player voter to
(02:30):
be most valuable to the one successof the Seattle Crackett as chosen by the
Seattle area media. This year's winneris Shared mccair. The Three Stars of
(02:53):
the Year award is awarded to theplayer that accumulates the most points on three
Star of the Game votes by pointsfor every first Star, three for every
second Star, and one point forevery third Star honor. This is based
off home games only. This year'sThree Stars of the Year winner is Joey
Duck Cod. Tonight's final award isthe Seattle Cracking Fan Favorite Award, awarded
(03:31):
to the player deemed the favorite byyou, the Cracking Fans, the best
fans in the NHL. You voted, your voice was heard. The twenty
twenty three twenty twenty four Seattle CrackingFan Favorite Award winner is Joey duck Cod.
(03:57):
Well, there you have it,and I don't I think I can
speak for a lot of folks.I don't disagree with any of those choices.
The MVP Up the Team as votedby the players. The Guile Fielder
Award Jayden Schwartz the MVP the BestPlayer of the Year, chosen by the
media of the pet Muldoone Award,Jared McCann for three Stars of the Year,
(04:19):
Joey Jaccord, and then of coursethe Fan Favorite Award as well Joey
Jaccord. I think that winner classic, that coming out party had a lot
to do with that for him.And I think anytime your fans can chant
your name in the building that Ialways get you a few extra votes as
well. Well. Al that'll doit here for at home. Some more
(04:41):
final business that take care of.First of all, you made it.
You're still here forty one games athome. You got four more left.
Stay with me, partner. Lookingback on this season, the Kraken,
their home record will fall now tosevent eighteen and six. But again we
(05:02):
talked about even though the results inthe record were not what this team wanted,
the fans still showed up and theyshowed out every single night. We
had a franchise record thirteen game pointstreak, a nine game winning streak.
This season. This cracking team sweptthe Boston Bruins, who a lot of
people feel are gonna go on towin the Cup. They played the big
(05:25):
teams, the top teams in theNHL. Well, but I think as
we're gonna hear coming up in abit from Ian Fordess and Mike Betton on
our post game show. Offense wasthe issue this year, and that is
something that you can't overlook. No, it's not, and it's not necessarily
something you could just fix by youknow, one player, one position,
(05:46):
one simple change. It's a fewthings that have to get adjusted, and
it's across the entire team as well. Crack and fall three to one to
San Jose and their home finale.Give me some final takeaways from you,
not just maybe from tonight, butfrom the last forty one games here under
our roof. Well, first ofall, this building is amazing. I've
seen all but one now and thisbuilding definitely wins as best building in the
(06:06):
league, both from our perspective interms of the job we do up here
in the booth, the view weget to have up here, but just
the fans, the people, thesitelines, everything, And I hear that
from other people as well, notjust the Cracking people. Final thoughts,
you know on the game tonight, frustrating when you put fifty up from a
player's perspective, you expect a littlebit more from the result there. I
(06:28):
think you have to go back andlook at maybe what went wrong a little
bit and adjust that for these remainingfour games. Three Stars of the Night
brought to you by Mama Kadisky hasshe always wants to know. Third Star
William Ecklin with two assists plus tworating. Second Star Brian Dublin with your
only goal of the game for theCracking and this plus one played nineteen minutes
six seconds, and your number onestar no surprise, Devin Cooley from the
(06:51):

new Chevy tracks in period one,the Sharks getting to work little over eight
minutes in then what do they comeup with in the offensive zone? Little
successful of places for the track ofthe play, Van Wiles, Henry thron
(14:46):
on left side shot that redirects inand the Sharks score. Well, I
talked about those shots from the perimeterand again that was exactly one of those.
But it was Colin Graff in frontof net skating in front of Joey
Decord's eyes that created a bit ofa screen and found the lower lower right
side under his glove. Louke Cunnin'seleventh he got credit board at eight oh
six, Henry thrown Clynn Coston withthe assist on the goal through traffic to
(15:09):
make it one nothing San Jose. This calls for a response for the Kraken.
How soon Schwartz tapping it ahead.Jordan Everley airside half well off the
dueling walks in Bryant. Dublin fightsjust enough space in the right circle to
wrist on and passed coolly. It'sa one to one game. Ten thirty

seven to play. In the firstgreat Neutrals regrouped by the krackt coming down
that right side was Everley with thebuck. Yeah, he had a great
feed back to Dublin and Dumbilan peakfully five hole and with that the Kraken
come right back and needing just oneminute and fifteen seconds to signe. This
game up at one as Brian Dumalinreaching a new career high with six goals
(15:56):
on the season, coming in nineto twenty two. Jordan as well with
the assist and the Kraken making thisone a brand new game. By the
end of one period, all tiedup at one, with San Jose also
out shooting the Sharks twenty to elevenin period one, so they have matters
on their side, and just likein period won, the Kraken into the
(16:17):
second had command with scoring chances, but for the San Jose have in store
with an open look and little overfive minutes left right side, he's in
at a circle, drops it offBurrows far side shot and he scores quality
over quantity. Here's a night ofthe San Jose Sharks. On their fourteenth
shot of the game, they breakthe stalemate. It's a two on San
(16:40):
Jose lead five thirteen to play inthe second Kyle Burrows getting a second goal
of the season and his first aswell in a while, that breaking a
twenty nine game goal scoring drought, coming at fourteen forty six of the second
period, William Ecklin picking up andassist on the play, and San Jose
back in front with a two toone advantage. They then capitalized with the
(17:03):
bounds at the nets Baby and Zetterlinhis twenty second goal of the season coming
at fifteen thirty seven a period two, Mikyle Grantlin with the assist. William
Eckland as well with his second assistof the game, and Grantlin extending his
run now for points in ten consecutivegames. That puts San Jose up three
to one and the Kraken trying tocome right back, but not much time
(17:25):
left down by two and twenty minutesto go. They were bearing down on
Devin Cooley in period three, andwhat does Shane Wright have with the stay
here in this matter? Caught byEvans, He's got Shane right right circle
foxing off the post. Oh ohmy goodness, Shane right inches away.
That kind of personifies this savning theKraken close but not close enough. As
(17:48):
a matter of fact, they putsixteen shots on Devin Cooley in that third
period, but nothing getting by him, as Cooley, turning in a forty
nine save effort tonight in the threeto one score, holds up his final

the Kraken putting up fifty repeat fiftyshots on net, all but one,
coolly stopping in the contest in justhis fifth NHL game. That, by
(18:30):
the way, mark in the sixthmost saves in a game in Sharks history
right behind Jeff back at fifty seven, also wide Flarty and the Kenzie Black
Liars Steve Shields and getting the bacavMa's to night Devin Cooley turning in a
forty nine save effort, he picksup the victory and Net and Cooley's record
improving out of two to one andone on the campaign. Lasnet goes to
(18:52):
Joey Decord. He turned in twentysaves on twenty three shots, his record
falling now to eighteen, seventeen andeleven on the season, as the Kraken
will split the head to head serieswith San Jose two and two here for
the campaign following this as well, the Kracking once again going through their team
awards ceremony as well. Kyle FielderAward goes to Jayden Schwartz, Joey Decor
(19:15):
picking up both the three Stars ofthe Year award and the Fan Favorite and
the Pete Buldoon Award for MVP goingto Jared McCann as well. Time out
here. One big take for tonight'smatchup the really crazy how this is it?
Forty one games and the home scheduleis done and first we have to
get props, have to give propsto those who come to each game,
(19:36):
pack the place and show up,and Seattle hockey is growing. Its own
personality is passionate, it's loud,it's boisterous, especially in playoff time.
So how does that scene come back? Well? The lasting impression here for
a game like this one has twoviews. On the Kraken side, it's
pretty clear by the day the biggestpriority here for the upseason offgrades is in
the scoring department. For a gamelike this, the Kraken does deserve better.
(20:00):
They wereked to get the well deservedchances. Then the NHL falling short
of cashing and ultimately means a differencebetween winning and losing. The krack and
had open nets and this fire theyhad scrambles at the gold mouth and couldn't
finish. That gave San Jose aton of reprieves on the Shark side.
Give Devin Cooley credit. He wasfantastic, he was quick, he was
(20:22):
sharp to fined the one goal givenup to Brian Dumelin here for this evening,
But perhaps in a different world, the krack And re seizing command in
this game, seizing it early andputting it away. In this world,
it was a ton of chances andnot enough finish at to find this game
this evening time. Now for alook around the NHL, and here's the

know there's there's bucks there and there'stips. You know, we made a
couple of stakes there at the secondand then are down three one and then
you know, chasing a little bit. But I thought energy was good.
Like let's see what I ended theseason on, uh wedding note at home

you know, carried a lot ofthe play. Just dide to finish.
You were selected by your teammates foryou know one that it's all about
character and post your appearance. Iknow a lot of hockey players, yourself
included, don't necessarily celebrate the bigmoments with goals and milestones. But does
that mean anything special to you thatthe guys in this repet you for something
like that. Yeah, I meanit means a lot of food. I
mean that work quote a lot ofguys with a lot of you know,
(26:45):
character guys, and they are dedicatedguys who who really played for one another.
And it certainly way to get youknow, nominated by your your peers
and your teammates as post a longway because we're you know, we're fighting
every day together and everything together. So like I said, it could have
went to a lot of guys, but definitely means a lot. I appreciate
(27:06):
it. Yeah, it's quite greatto hear. How frustrating is this year
been for you guys if the scoringjust hasn't come all that much. Another
game toime where you guys get theopportunity just to get shots on that,
but you aren't able to get thegoals you need. Uh. Yeah,
I think it was a little bitof an up and down as the season
as far as you know, offensivestandards. You know, things didn't come
(27:30):
like they did last year. Youknow, obviously frustrating at times, and
certainly when bucks are going in moreoften for guys, you're gonna have more
confidence and maybe not gripping the sticksas much. But I mean lots of
times. It's it's not for alack of effort, it's you know,
for the most part, we're gettinganas amount of chances, just didn't capitalize

time is great. To have youback here once again, We're gonna dive
into this as much as we can, getting toward a little past the bottom
of the hour here before we saygood night. And I want to open
first off with just a blanket ofappreciation here because every game was packed out
once again, Every game was soldout once again. Seattle Hockey has an
(39:06):
identity, and this is kind ofsomething that I was maybe rehashing a bit
here earlier from the postgame side ofthings. But the identity is these fans
are loud. They are passionate, they are boisterous. We think about how
loud Seahawks games can get, howloud the Mariners got, even as recent
as the Alds against Houston back intwenty twenty two, the Huskies as well,
(39:29):
how loud it gets here in playofftime, So how do we get
there? And Devin Cooley was lightsout and we're going to get into this
reaction here. But again, whenyou have fifty shots on goal, you're
asking can you get more than one? Well, your first, second,
and third star snut of the fans, and that's been the case all year.
I know we'll hear from Hacking aminute, and there's something he said
(39:49):
in there that we need to thatI think probably needs to be discussed deeper
and probably also tells us why therehas to be some changes this offseason.
You didn't ask me, Mike, but I'm gonna give you just a quick
thought. This was a microcosm ofthis season. In a hole fifty shots
on goal, you can't score,Your goaltender didn't play great tonight, didn't
(40:09):
have his best game but was okay, and you're inside your own zone,
you weren't even in there most ofthe night, and you lose three to
one. You lose two games thisseason to the worst team in the NHL,
arguably or second worst, doesn't evenmatter. We're splitting hairs. You
can't. This fan base deserves better. The people that pack out this building,
(40:30):
the people that built this building, deserve better, and they're the ones
ultimately will make decisions in the offseason. But I've never seen I mean,
listen, you got beat by agoaltender that's never been a full time starter
in the American Hockey League. Yougot beat at home in your final game
of the year by a goaltender who'snever been a full time starter in the
American Hockey League. A twenty eightyear old journeyman definition of journeymen. Played
(40:54):
great, absolutely great. There werescouts tonight. I know one scout in
particular here to watch him from anotherteam because the UFA at the end of
the year. But you how whythis was a microcosm of the season.
This was it in a nutshell, too many passengers, not enough finish,
(41:14):
just a really, really hard yearafter a tremendous second season. This can't
happen. This fan base deserves better, this building, this gorgeous building,
this palace of a building. Ohfew, the guys that built they deserve.
How many fans come on here andhow many folks come on on through
here and say this might be thebest building in the league. Mike,
(41:34):
I'm telling you right now, everythingis here. No organization spends more,
treats their players better. From trainingtable, breakfast, lunch, dinner,
everything they do is first class. And that's what they get. Losing the
San Jose Sharks on Fan Appreciation Nightthree to one. I don't care how
many damn scoring chances you had.I don't care how much you cannot lose
(41:58):
this team twice this year. Thefirst game was a catalyst to the awful
second half. This one was justembarrassing. And again, I'm so sick
of great chances and Grade eight chancesand one hundred shot attempts, which is
what they had tonight. Who cares? This is a it's pro sports man,
it's results. It is based onresults. You have to find a
(42:20):
way to win. You have tofind a way to be a journeyman goaltender
at home in your final game ofthe season, and the fact that you
benched a rookie in the third period, for the most part unacceptable. This
is just really frustrating me as someonewho loves the sport and wants this team
to succeed, not just on theice, but off the ice. These
are the kind of Knights that makeit really hard for fans to want to
(42:43):
re up their season tickets come backnext year. I would just say for
those who are doubting, there ishope. There's an offseason, there's trades,
there's a draft, there's free agency, but they've got some heavy lifting
to do because everything they built uplast season disappeared this year. There's a
great core of players here, reallysolid corpses, great goaltending. Most nights
(43:06):
you have a chance to win almostevery night. But they've got to tweak
some things and it probably starts internally, and it's sad, and here's here's
the one thing. But we're gonnaget to Dave Hackstall in just a bit.
This team missed the playoffs second timein three seasons. But it's not
a thing where you have to tearthis thing all the way down to the
stuff. And that's my Mike, that's my point, like like like I
wouldn't trade this roster for the teamthat beat him tonight, not even close.
(43:30):
Like and fifty one can play likethere's questions, is he had number
one center, number two? Ishe a three? He'd be a great
three. He's probably a two.But you see when he plays with two
really good players, he makes adifference. He goes to the front of
the net, he goes to thecorners. He knows how to see.
I might have been the guy drivingthe most offense tonight. One hundred percent
(43:50):
Mikey and and and like, Ilove what I saw from Shane Wright.
If last year's rookie of the Yeargave that kind of effort, this team
would be better off this season.Shane Wright stepped in and looked one hundred
percent like an NHL player, afull time NHL player. I'm gonna guess
he's gonna go down and just smokeit during the Calder Cup playoffs. Can
you imagine Coachella Valley's saying, oh, come right, well, he's going
(44:12):
right back. I can tell youthis. I mean, I don't even
know what we're allowed to say,but winterd In and his gears packed up.
They're they're they're packed up and gone. There you go. So,
which is fine, go down there. The fun thing about what they're gonna
have coming up. I was talkingto Curtis Craptree from Fox thirteen about this.
They go down the Colder Cup playffs. You and I both worked in
the miners, so we know sometimesyou get to the playoffs and the minors
is like three thousand people in thebuilding, not in Coachella Valley every night
(44:35):
at home in those playoffs, isgonna feel really big for those guys.
And it's gonna be very important becauseWright was a fourth line in the playoffs
last year. He's the top lineguy now, Yes, and it's gonna
be massively important. That guy's gonnabe here next season. He's gonna be
a Rookie the Year candidate next season. I can't wait to see him full
time. I just hope they surroundhim with some players that have that same
I know, I'm not gonna havethat same get up and go have the
(44:57):
same jam that this kid has andhas a same jam that some of these
other guys have, you know.I mean, there's there's some players in
this team that really give it.You know. Schwartz gives you every night,
gives you what he got, givesyou a well deserved Guy out Field
of Award, by the way,Jared mccannon gives it to you every single
night. Like there's guys on thisteam that give it to you. There's
some other guys this season that justflat out disappeared. And that's why the
core group that went fourteen games deepin the playoffs this season is sitting at
(45:19):
home. It's it's just unfortunate. But again, off season, lots of
stuff can happen. I just I'mfrustrated tonight because I think what we saw
again was a microcosm of the entireseason in the final home game tonight.
And maybe that's what's needed here athome, not getting smoked by Dallas or
win a peg in the final four. But maybe this, with ownership sitting
(45:42):
in their suite, people watching hereseventeen thousand plus, maybe this is what
it's needed to kick somebody in thebackside and see what happens two six,
says Ian. You just stated atwhat we were thinking here that was rob
on vast Shan by the way, from the two oh six five three.
The puck was between their skates somuch this evening the finish, Wasn't there
(46:04):
a lot of overthinking that from thefive oho three? Again? Friends,
what do you think? Also,I'd love to hear from you the expectations
for Shane right next season based onwhat we've seen here so far in the
small sample size four nine, fiveone, you're talking fifteen goals, twenty
goals, top five maybe in scoringother areas maybe Texas four nine four or
five one. But we got toget downstairs right now, and meeting the
media is cracking at coach Dave Extell, and obviously offense was rolling tonya.
(46:29):
How would you assess the defensive effortfrom the group. Well, you know,
we didn't spend a whole lot oftime in our defensive zone. You
know, one of the things Italked about before the game was making sure
that we executed with the puck andgot out of the zone and didn't have
to spend a whole lot of timethere. So, you know, just
by nature, because we didn't findthe back of the net with the puck,
(46:52):
some of the some of the focusis going to go to the the
goals against that went in, andyou know that the two goals two quick
goals in, you know, inthe second period in particular, ones off
and a zone face off, andyou know one is another situation getting beat
up ice and and you know, just being slow sorting it in the defensive
(47:14):
zone. In reality, we didn'thave much of that. We didn't have
much time in our defensive zone.I think we had over one hundred shot
attempts tonight. So you know,my folks would go back to the first
period and in you know, findinga way to to get on the board,
finding a way to open up thehockey game, and that's what we
weren't able to do tonight. Whatdid you think of Ryan Winterton's game today?
(47:37):
Had some really good looks and playingalongside Jeremycanner. Yeah, you had
a couple of really good looks.Unfortunate as we went through the third period,
he got lost a little bit,so he didn't you know, he
can get a ton of ice timein the third. But he's you know,
he's done a nice job Wentz.You know, he's he's found a
way, you know, in theAmerican American Hockey League to become a consistent
(47:58):
and valuable score five on and youknow, he's found some of those chances
here hasn't been able to find theback of the net. You know.
The the positive is his you know, his two way play and the fact
that he is finding a couple ofthose chances, and there will come a
day when you know he's ready toyou know, to bury those chances at
this level. Jayden Schwartz won anaward voted by his teammates all about perseverance
(48:20):
and character for the second year ina row. What does he mean to
this group from your perspective, showsup in battles every day. You know,
he's had to come back from froma couple of different injuries along the
way, and I mean does thework to do that. You know,
he's he's a guy that he doesn'tsay a lot in the dressing room,
but he's very well respected in hisactions speak volumes. One of the obviously
(48:43):
wasn't an issue, but what didyou think about the shot valleys third period?
I didn't think was good enough interms of the chances we were able
to generate. We we had somereally good you know, we ended up
some good chances in the power placeand really good looks six on five,
So you know, some of thefive on five play was limited, but
through the first and second periods wehad excellent quality. Dave, you mentioned
(49:05):
finally away to score in that firstperiod. Decide from one that you got
anything in particular second chances or anitherfirst, but I mean, you know
it's you can always do more. There's you know, he saw some of
the pucks in the first period alittle too easily. They were they were
uncontested and in terms of that, but we also had something that were through
traffic and some of their rebounds onI did a really good job a seal
(49:27):
in the bottom of the net.Tonight, some of the rebounds we couldn't
quite get up. But you know, you've got ebbs in the second period
with a with a wide open neton a rebound. We've done, you
know, and he's done everything right. He just can't corral it. You
know, it's it's it's just itcontinues to roll on him out of his
wheelhouse and as he shovels it,you know, unfortunately and missus the nets.
So you know, those are thoseare some of the some of the
(49:51):
looks that we had tonight. We'regetting close to Shane and Ryan and Logan
heading back to Coachella. For youwhat have you made of their time up
here with you as a collective andchances they've got to play. Without trying
to break them down individually, Iwould say, you know, as a
collective group, they've they've all showedsignificant progress. They've showed a really good,
(50:13):
you know sense at this level likesome poise that obviously Mo hasn't been
here before, Winson and writer have. We've seen growth there. You know,
there's the experience of being here also, uh, you know, allows
them to assess and us to assessyou know, some of the areas that
we want them to continue to growin, continue to get better. They
(50:37):
know they're going to have the opportunityto to be part of a playoff run,
you know, in Cachella Valley inthe American Hockey League, and that'll
be extremely valuable. That will beyou know, a big part of the
next step of their development. Allright, that's Dave Astall. We get
a reaction here from the five ozothree. We need more consistency playing at
our best. Difficult to watch havean incredible game, and then just two
(50:59):
days later Matters just self imployed thatfrom the five to ZHO three, the
kracking and I e and had onehundred shot attempts on that they had forty
in that third period. Your thoughts, well, yeah, I mean,
you can have all the shots inthe world, you've got to score,
you got to bury it. Finishinghas been a problem with this team all
year. That that like, likethat is the problem. Finishing and scoring
(51:19):
and putting the puck in the net, having true finishers, that has been
the issue all season. There's all, there's one hundred players in the NHL
right now that are averaging nine pointnine points per game. Almost one point
the game. There's one hundred.None of them are cracking. I'm not
including Right. He would be there, but he doesn't qualify. Yeah,
you get my point. I'm I'mI I've been to a lot of press
conferences a lot of different sports. The comments he made about Ryan Winterton,
(51:45):
how you know Piper asked a questionabout his play and he's like, yeah,
I played right in first couple yearsand he got a lot of lost
in the third periers, we hedidn't play a lot. He played seven
minutes total tonight? Why is hehere? What's what are they trying to
accomplish right now? Like I knowthat we all know he was He and
Right were going back down after tonight. You're out of the playoff race,
(52:06):
no one else? He said,Well you got a little lost out
there? Who Well, who wasn'tlost? You lost three to one to
San Jose. Who wasn't lost outthere? Like I'll make the argument that
Shane Wright wasn't lost, But likewho wasn't lost at times out there?
And you're gonna bench the young kidlike he's the he's the pigeon you pick
(52:27):
out, Like what are we doing? Like, what are we doing here?
I I, they've four games leftto go in the season, luckily
they're all on the road. Andthen I said, they've got a big
off season coming because the core issolid, young guys coming up. All
their draft picks, for the mostpart, their key draft picks all had
(52:49):
massive years. Firkus was great, ray Koff was great. They had guys
that just put up massive numbers thisyear. The future is bright, but
you've got to give those young guysa chance to play. Why was he
here? Why does he get sevenminutes? Like? I don't get that.
I don't get that, But likeI said, take a deep breath,
I think a lot of fans arefeeling frustrated because it's hard to watch
(53:12):
this sometimes knowing full well that they'rea better hockey team than they have showed
throughout the season. This is effectivelywithout take the fourth line, away lines
one through three and minus Carson Sussireplaces with Dumalen, same defensive pairs,
and arguably your event's done. Alsoand vice, I know Vince dun didn't
play tonight, but I get that. Yeah, okay, you played an
(53:34):
American Hockey League team with a coupleNHLs on it. You played a team
the Coachella Valley would probably beat fiveout of ten nights. Your goaltending was
way better this season, consistently throughoutthe regular season than it was last year.
In the regular season it was great, obviously elite in the playoffs.

five, saying expectations for Shane Wrighttwenty five goals. Twenty five goals and
a lot tougher time than he hadthis week. Not a lot of physical
play this last week. But Iwant to applaud Oliver by york Strand,
someone who has stepped that up herefrom Jeff from the five O three.
Shane has grown so much this yearin Coachella. Loves seeing him in the
last few weeks. Works hard, works smart, brings new found energy as
(57:00):
well here from the five to ZHOthree. Yeah, I mean Oliver Buyorck
straight had a nice solid season. He was your All Star representative. Probably
could have gone some other ways, but he was your guy. And and
you know, Oliver's good. He'sa third line player and a really good
third line player. And let's goback to when this team was good last
season, their third line Gord Tolbynenb york Strand, how good were they
(57:20):
really good? That obviously that linehad been broken up a number of times
this season. The line juggling totry to find something that works has been
taking place. You know, butb york Strands a part of should be
a part of your core moving forward, should be a big part of what
you do. You know, Ithink if you look around just top the
bottom on this team on the roster, like a lot of things to like,
(57:44):
but it's still professional sports. It'sa result based business. The expansion
season is one thing. This teamwent to the postseason last year and played
two seven game series against really goodhockey teams and never looked out of place.
This season, that same team werarely saw and and that's that's that's
that's that's frustrating. I think.I think it's frustrating for a lot of
(58:05):
people, and that should be frustrating. More importantly, how frustrating is it
for the people in charge? Becausethe wins of change will certainly be blowing
through Seattle. I would think thisoffseason with the Kraken and they need to
people pay a lot of money tosee this team play. The fans here
are great, everyone's buying gear.We saw this community. It has been
a transformation of hockey here certainly overthe last three What we saw last season
(58:27):
was incredible and they and they stillcome out and support it. They just
deserve something better than what we haveseen this season, and I think it
will come with guys like right andothers. Been a big, big off
season for Baniers. You know, put on some weight, get a little
stronger. But yeah, there weresome curious things said tonight in postgame,
and and I just I'm still tryingto shake my head. Three to one
(58:49):
loss to the San Jose Sharks. Here, you can probably point to three
or four low points this season, the pre All Star loss to these guys.
The goal was sixteen seconds left againstVegas and reg elation. That really
kind of changed the trajectory of theteam. And then this thing tonight,
