to two loss to the Flyers. Tonight, Seattle wraps up
their first back to back of the season in our
Nation's Capital to take on a Capitol's team that is

superstar who was closing in on yet another major milestone.

into the lineup for him this evening and looking like
he'll stay put with Manny Beneers and Jordan Everley. You're
cracking story lines. First off special teams here for this season.
The power play, it's been productive. They've had a goal
in five consecutive games last night won for six. But
the penalty kill they have taken a few lumps recently

and they have a lot of goal in four of
the last five games. So for the cracking, especially against
this flying Capitol's offense left by guests who Alexelvechkin and
then keep matters tightened back up on special teams this sevening.
Second storyline Chandler Stevenson in his play up front. He's

the way, who was playing college hockey when Ovechkin was
a rookie. He's now in their third year behind Washington's bench,

How can they do that?

Well, first of all, we got to talk about a
physical play. If we're going to talk about the Washington
Capitals set, that physical tone early. Washington Veterans love a
slower grinding style of hockey, so the crack you need
to hit first and often. Finishing checks and winning board
battles will disrupt the CAP's rhythm and tilt the ice
Seattle's way. Secondly, get depth scoring rolling. Seattle strength has

always been a balanced attack and not just one line
doing the heavy lifting. If the bottom six, along with
the blue line can ship in a goal or two,
it could be the difference maker in a low scoring game.
And then third, start fast, excuse me, start fast, finish
stronger on a shish In that statement, start fast, finished stronger.
The Capitals can be sluggish early, so jumping out with
(23:03):
early pressure and pace his key. But the Kraken also
need to close strong. No late lapses or letting Ov
lurk for that back door bomb. Tonight's recipe for the
cracking win is simple. Bring the muscle, share the scoring
and never let the throttle ease up. Make the Capitals
chase the game instead of controlling it. And don't give
Ov a sniff of that power play one timer he's

your first regulation loss of the season last night in Philadelphia.
Just take us through those sixty minutes in a game
in which it seemed the Kraken just couldn't find their
footing against the Flyers.

Yeah.

We we couldn't quite find our footing. I thought we
started the game well, we scored, you know, gave up
a tough goal on a on a mistake I guess
so to speak, you know, to let them back in
at one one, but then had a couple of chances
to short handed, had a breakaway, you know, I had
a two on one short handed, and you know, we
(28:48):
didn't bury those, and when you don't, you know, at times,
things can come back and haunt you a little bit.
They ended up scoring right away after that on the
pedal on the power play, and you know, the game
just kind of it got away from us a little bit.
You know, I thought we made some maybe some uncharacteristic mistakes,
(29:09):
but at the end of the day too. When I
look over that game and I really analyze it, it's
never as bad as you think it is, and it's
never as good as you think it is. So you know,
the game was fairly even, to be honest with you,
when we analyze all the scoring.

Chances first time this season, I guess the Craken really,
at least from a press box view, have gone through
a bit of adversity and couldn't get to that system
and that style. You know in the manner that you
would like. What's the mindset going into back to back?
Some coaches will tell you that, hey, I like the flush,
it put it behind me and move on.

What's going to be that message going into the night's game.

Well, we talked about it this morning and we you know,

You will, for Seattle on which they just couldn't find

to pull it out. But that doesn't stop you from
having the effort. And I think that's what he was

pointing out, was the effort wasn't there well.

another player last night. Mason Marshmith quoted from Lane Lambert

back up after they gave up two goals to Owen

You know that's I think my first touch of the
game wasn't assists. That was pretty cool, but yeah, I
think it didn't end up going off Ebbs right, so
you know, secondary assistant second shifts pretty cool.

Plenty of times last night that Carton's game caught many
of I's the veterans, and one of them, Jaydon Schwartz,
who had this takeaway about Berkeley Catton saying that he
had command with the puck.

Yeah, you could see his vision, his skill set, you know,
pretty pretty good with the puck. Cess very well and
just makes a lot of little little plays and you know,
highly skilled, so it was fun to see him out there.

So Berkeley Canton earning plenty of time first game in
the lineup, which also means it's a return trip back
into the lineup for him this evening and looking like
he'll stay put with Manny Beneers and Jordan Everley. You're
cracking story lines. First off special teams here for this season.
The power play, it's been productive. They've had a goal
in five consecutive games last night won for six. But
the penalty kill they have taken a few lumps recently
(11:54):
and they have a lot of goal in four of
the last five games. So for the cracking, especially against
this flying Capitol's offense left by guests who Alexelvechkin and
then keep matters tightened back up on special teams this sevening.
Second storyline Chandler Stevenson in his play up front. He's
on a three game point streak in five games in
that span as well. That's now tie by the way

for that run, getting him to the krack and scoring
league tie with Vince Dunn and Jordan Eberley, all of
five points in six games. He's also a next Capital
played here for five seasons, return here for him. He's
got five points in eight games against his former team.
Third story line Matt Murray due to make his season
and his cracking debut. He was signed on July one,

Last year mainly spent in the AHL with Toronto and
has him played north of thirty games in the NHL
in six years. But he had a great preseason two

as far as the bounce back, which involves the need

battles will disrupt the CAP's rhythm and tilt the ice
Seattle's way. Secondly, get depth scoring rolling. Seattle strength has

always been a balanced attack and not just one line
doing the heavy lifting. If the bottom six, along with
the blue line can ship in a goal or two,
it could be the difference maker in a low scoring game.
And then third, start fast, excuse me, start fast, finish
stronger on a shish In that statement, start fast, finished stronger.
The Capitals can be sluggish early, so jumping out with

early pressure and pace his key. But the Kraken also
need to close strong. No late lapses or letting Ov
lurk for that back door bomb. Tonight's recipe for the

and never let the throttle ease up. Make the Capitals
chase the game instead of controlling it. And don't give

Just take us through those sixty minutes in a game
in which it seemed the Kraken just couldn't find their

We we couldn't quite find our footing. I thought we
started the game well, we scored, you know, gave up
a tough goal on a on a mistake I guess
so to speak, you know, to let them back in
at one one, but then had a couple of chances
to short handed, had a breakaway, you know, I had
a two on one short handed, and you know, we

didn't bury those, and when you don't, you know, at times,
things can come back and haunt you a little bit.
They ended up scoring right away after that on the
pedal on the power play, and you know, the game
just kind of it got away from us a little bit.
You know, I thought we made some maybe some uncharacteristic mistakes,

but at the end of the day too. When I
look over that game and I really analyze it, it's
never as bad as you think it is, and it's
never as good as you think it is. So you know,
the game was fairly even, to be honest with you,
when we analyze all the scoring.

Chances first time this season, I guess the Craken really,
at least from a press box view, have gone through
a bit of adversity and couldn't get to that system
and that style. You know in the manner that you
would like. What's the mindset going into back to back?
Some coaches will tell you that, hey, I like the flush,
it put it behind me and move on.

What's going to be that message going into the night's game.

Well, we talked about it this morning and we you know,
there's certain areas that we have to be better. For me,
