The Senior Cracket began a four game road trip on
Tuesday in Detroit.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Looking to keep their offense in high gear.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
A power play goal from the captain late in the
first putting the Cracking up one nothing. However, a three
goals second for the Red Wings put the home side
up three to two. Through forty the Kracking had chances
of PUNSI in the third, However, it was a Detroit
empty netter that sent the Crack into a four to
two loss. Tonight, Seattle blows into the Windy City Chicago, Illinois,
(00:49):
to take on the NHL's hottest team over the last
two weeks on a milestone night that will see a
season bet skate in his seven hundredth NHL game, while
an impressive youngster is preparing to make his National Hockey
League debut. Good afternoon, Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome inside. I'm

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Hi am Everett Fitzio.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
You are listening to the pregame show served out by
Frostfood Course Light Choose Chill on the Global Credit Union
crack An Audio Network. A four to two loss ale
for Seattle in Detroit two nights ago, and the Kraken
got some offensive opportunities early, They got some shots off early,
but it was that third period Seattle outscored three to.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
One in the third that ultimately spelled the end of
the night for them.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
Yeah, Seattle got the first goal of the game again,
the fourth time in the last five games that Seattle's
done that. Jordan Eberty goal on the power play. The
power plays clicking. You get that first goal, yo, shoot
Detroit eleven to nine, and then things fell apart a
little bit in the second period. You got a bad
goal from a bad change, a bad goal on the
power play, and a bad goal from a double deflection
that in an empty net goal was all Detroit needed
to win the game.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Two milestones here tonight for Seattle.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
That old Jamie Alexiak schedule to skate in his seven
hundredth National Hockey League game, while Oscar Fisker moguard As

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Yeah, played five games in the preseason, two assists. He
was a plus three, averaging almost a half point a
game in that preseason.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
You know who else to average half a point? Shane Wright,
So you know what, that's good marks on him.
Speaker 4 (02:29):
His parents are here five hours of driving, probably about
a dozen hours of flying to get here, and they're
in the stands tonight to watch their someplace first and
h O game.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
We're going to go through that story here as he
rolled along in this broadcast. It's quite incredible the lengths
that his parents went through to make sure they were
in Chicago here tonight.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
On the other side of the red.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
Line, this is the Chicago Blackhawks team who is five
zero to one of their last six games.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
One more point would.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
Give them their longest point streak in the last eight seasons.
For them, they've allowed two or few were goals five
times and have outscored the competition twenty five to eleven.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
In the last six games. Yeah, and you talk about
scoring the first goal. They mentioned the crack and four
of the last five games they've done that.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Well. The Blackhawks have done.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
The same game, same thing in every game they've gotten
a point on the team's longest single season streak since
doing it and on a ten game run in twenty sixteen.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
Connor Bodar coming off a hatchrick in his last game.

It's NHL Hockey Live on the Global Credit Union. Kraken
Audio Network from United Center, the Seattle Kraken take on
the Chicago Blackhawks, and we are thirty three minutes away
(06:30):
from puck drop in Chicago. You know what is just
thirty minutes away from here, Well, that would be snow
Call Me Casino and hotel. Visit Seattle's closest sportsbook and
bet three ways on the Kraken. Take a Windows on
site Kiosk, or my favorite, the snow Call Me Casino
mobile app. Mike Betton with you back from Network Central.
Glad you're with us. The Kraken coming in right now,
(06:50):
nine to five and five twenty three points and in
a very tight compact Western Conference, is three points out
of first place in the Pacific Division. This being game
two of the four game road trip and up against Chicago.
A surprising start for them ten to five and four
twenty four points, ending their four game homestand and the
Kraken trying to build on their nine to four all
(07:13):
time record, but also only three and three in Chicago.
They have won five of the last six had to
head meetings. Well, this evening here for the crack and
it's all about a chancer to level up in a
matchup with really two surprise teams at this point of
the season. Last year out of the playoffs, but now
in a playoffs spot or within one point of a
(07:34):
playoff spot so far at about the twenty five percent
check mark percent check mark here of this season. The
Blackhawks two in this year with a healthy dose of
Connor Badard and goaltending the Krack and doing it with
a healthy dose of defense and goaltending the Crack, and
one and zero in this had to have series. They
beat Chicago three to one last timeouts earlier this month
(07:54):
back at Climbing Pledge Arena. In this evening marks the
only visit of the season too Chicago. They'll wrap the
three game season series up April fourth in Seattle, the
Crack and facing a Blackhawks team playing hot right now.
Chicago's got points in six raight games. They're a win
or trip to ot away from tying their longest single
(08:15):
season streak in the past eight season, so the Crack
can have to pay attention here as far as scoring
first and building on that, because Chicago has scored first
during every game in their point streak so far. The
Crack and opening the road trip Tuesday in Detroit and
once again looking for a strong start.
Speaker 11 (08:33):
In period one, Channer Stevens at far circle. Now tolben
It settles it down. His shot through the slot pit
balls off a skate. Stevens said, we'll save it. Now,
tolban It fires, knock down, loose puck in front. Eberly scores.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Fifty eight seconds to play here the period, Jordan Everly
finishes off the power play goal hits a one nothing
Seattle cracking lead.
Speaker 4 (08:58):
All starts with a one timer by Tove at the
top of the circles.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Big rebounds giving up that. Maddy Beneers finds.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
He knows he's got Everly on the back door, slides
it over to him, easy taping for the captain won nothing.
Speaker 10 (09:10):
Cracking Well, that was the start the Kraken wanted. Jordan
Eberly's goal, the seventy fifth in his cracking career, tied
for second infranchise sissery with Jaden Schwartz. Only Jared McCann,
by the way, has more than that one hundred and
twenty one. But the game falling out the tracks in
period two as the Red Wings scored three times a
cracking falling four to two to Detroit, and about that
(09:31):
second period, the Red Wings, scoring a pair of goals
forty five seconds apart and taking a two to one
lead by the two zero four mark a period two
plus after Riker Evans later on tied the game the
Crack and taking a goalie interference penalty, the Red Wings
scoring a power play goal courtesy Eminfinni and then went
on from there to hold the Crack into five shots
(09:52):
in period three before Dylan Larkin's empty net goal. So
Kim McCracken keep this one at a low event pace.
Four of the last six road games they have been
held to less than three goals. Also, they are winless
in four of their last six road games, and you
can bet which games they won they scored three or more.
Speaker 9 (10:10):
That was at.
Speaker 10 (10:11):
Winnipeg October twenty third, three to nothing win at Saint
Louis November eighth, when they won four to three in
sudden depth overtime. Plus are facing a Chicago team looking
to pick their offensive game up at home. Last four
home games on their side, they have scored eighteen goals
in total, and three to zero to one is their record.
Speaker 9 (10:30):
In that span.
Speaker 10 (10:31):
Cracking story lines, first off, begin with a newcomer, Oscar Fisker,
Mouleguard to make his NHL debut.
Speaker 9 (10:37):
How much can he make an impact?
Speaker 10 (10:39):
He was called up Wednesday in one of the final
cuts for the crack Inside in preseason training camp, in
so far turning plenty of aheads at the AHL level
with ten points in fourteen games. His parents flying in
from Copenhagen, Denmark to watch the game this evening. They
had a layover in London as well, so Dad, Lars
and Mom Trina in the house for this one, with
(11:01):
Fisker Moleguard ceentering a line between Ty Cartier and Ryan
Winter Tim Here's more from Fisker Mouleguard on the kind
of day he had on Wednesday, beginning with Coachella Valley.
Speaker 12 (11:12):
It's busy. I mean, yeah, I was doing my workout
there yesterday and in CV and then Ron called me
into the office. He was down there every sing us
and yeah, told me I've been doing a good job.
And I had to get on a plane to Chicago
in a couple of hours. So it's been it's been
a bit of hectic. Came in last night. Yeah, I'm
just excited to get going. I'm really happy to be here.
Speaker 10 (11:33):
So I missed all the planes, trains and automobiles. Fisker
Moleguard now reaching all the way to the top after
a very impressive preseason, whereas we said, he was one
of the final cuts in preseason training camp, and Fisker
Mouleguard said for this game, there's not much change he
needs to make.
Speaker 12 (11:51):
I mean I finger proof too to them and myself
too that I can can play this level and obviously
did a good job in camp and I've just been
trying to to build off with that and get even better.
So yeah, playing my game, skating, skating, move my feet,
that's the that's the key.
Speaker 10 (12:06):
Second story line, A big night for the big rig.
Jamie Alexiak will play in the seven hundredth game of
his NHL career and so far this season five points
in nineteen games also plus three seems modest, but that's
on pace for his best season offensively since the crack
and playoff year back in twenty twenty two to twenty three,
and all of a sudden, now one of the few
(12:27):
holdovers left from the expansion draft. So a big knight
for Jamie Alexiak to reach seven hundred games, and he
said today getting to that benchmark doesn't change the thing
about how he looks at his NHL career.
Speaker 13 (12:40):
I still just enjoy being out there, enjoy you know,
chopping up with the guys locker room and playing games
doesn't get old, right, So it flies by. Still think
I have the same passion I did when I was
you know, nineteen twenty. And he's gonna enjoy every day.
Speaker 10 (12:57):
So his teammates looking to rally around that mile to
one third storyline. Cracking special teams, the power play and
penalty kill have been a pretty big study as far
as hot and cold. Their power play eleventh on the road,
but oh of sixteen in Chicago lifetime. Meanwhile, the Blackhawks
penalty kills six best in the NHL. They are seventeen
of eighteen since November fifth, and the crack and penalty
(13:20):
kill trying to end a stretch of seven straight games
allowing a power play goal. So winning the special teams
battle can make a big impact here for this evening.
As far as the injury update, Matt Murray out six
weeks lower body ailment Coppocco upper body.
Speaker 9 (13:34):
He's week to week.
Speaker 10 (13:35):
Jared mccamn progressing he is on this trip as well.
We'll come back in a bit and take a look
at Chicago. After this, you're listening to the Global Credit
Union Cracking Audio.
Speaker 8 (13:45):

The line with the Kraken at minus one oh five
with Chicago at minus one fifteen and you're over under
is five and a half. Your pregame show is served
up by Frostbrewed Corps Light Choose Chill. Joey Decor starts
(16:22):
a net for the Crack in this evening. Here's who
He's facing a Chicago team turning plenty of heads, and
the question is how real are they? Well, that question
bears the answer They're getting more real by the day
because they've had a whole lot of Connor Bedard and
a whole lot of goaltending. They're run right now includes
points in fourteen to the last eighteen games. They're three
points out of second in the Central, but also still
(16:45):
one point from being bounced out of a playoff spot.
It's been that tight. They're right now on a season
long six game point streak. As we said, five to
zero and one in that span. And that team that
had that last long point run back in eighteen nineteen
included out of the Daves, Patrick Cain, Duncan Keith, and
a young Alex Dabrinkett. But times have changed and the
(17:07):
keys have gone now to Connor Bodard and company. That
includes Badard one of the bright young superstars in this game.
First round draft pick Frank Nazar near point per game.
First round draft pick rtm Levshanov ten assists eighteen games,
first round draft pick Do you notice the theme here?
Also goaltender Spencer Knight. He'll start after the best start
(17:27):
of his career at age twenty four, three zero to
two records so far in five outings. Their last game,
they beat Calgary five to two. Badard ho ham second
hat trick in his nineteenth game this season, also first
game wearing a letter on his jersey as an alternate captain,
and that hat trick only five times, as that happened
(17:48):
twice first nineteen games in Blackhawk's history. He joins the
lead company including Bernie Nichols, Bobby Holho did it twice,
Stam Makita and Frank Ingram as well. You're shakago story lines.
First off, begin with containing Connor Bedard, who's got goals
in five of his last six games, points in ten
to the last eleven as well, plus his thirteen goals
(18:09):
entering today typer second in the NHL. He has certainly arrived. Secondly,
Tyler Bertuzzi has also back missed the last two games
undisclosed injury, but he was red hot before getting hurt
six goals and eight points in the previous four games,
and the crack and have got to watch out for him.
In eight lifetime matchups, he's got six points. Let's hear
(18:31):
more from Chicago. A familiar face. Ryan Donado had a
lot of compliments for the kind of player that Connor
Bedard is growing into.
Speaker 16 (18:39):
No, I don't think there's a lot of guys in
the league that could say they'd had the same experience
as you know, as he has. Obviously, he's got a
lot more pressure than a lot of people in this league,
and you wouldn't know it if you were on the
team with him. He's I mean, fun to be around
the locker room and one of the hardest workers, so
it's obviously contagious and no he doesn't let anybody know. Uh,
(19:00):
you know, that's what the best guy's doing. He's really,
you know, obviously coming into his own right now, so.
Speaker 10 (19:04):
The crack and trying to contain that challenge. One point
back of the black Hawks this evening and cracking fans reminder,

Speaker 3 (21:50):
Back inside of the United Censor here in the city
beautiful Chicago, Leinois. Al Kiniski Ever fits you back with
your crack at game two of this four game trip.
I'll be in Pittsburgh on Saturday, Long Island for the Islanders.
On Sunday al four to two loss for Seattle against
the Wings. Tonight, there's gonna be a little extra motivation
on the ice. Jamie Alexiak will be in game number
(22:12):
seven hundred and Oscar Fisker Molgard making his National Hockey
League debut. What do they have to do to make
it worth their while than make Jamie Alexiak pay all
that money on the border?
Speaker 4 (22:23):
Well, First of all, make Chicago chase the game. The
Blackhawks struggle when they're forced to play from behind, so
on early crack and strike can tilt the whole night.
The Kracking have scored first in four of their last
five games and need to do that here again tonight.
Push the pace, get pucks deep, and make them burn
energy trying to catch up. Once they're chasing, they'll start
handing out turnovers like the corner Bakery at Christmas second.
(22:45):
Turn up the pressure on their defense.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
The Chicago's blue line is.
Speaker 4 (22:49):
Young and cracks under sustained. Poor tech keat Seattle needs
to cycle hard, force mistakes and make their defense and
regret touching the buck. The more chaos behind Chicago's net,
the better the crack and look in front of it.
And then third, special teams swing Chicago's pk as wolves
and their power play can sputter when pressured. Seattle needs
to capitalize with clean entries, smart puck movement, and discipline
(23:11):
defensive support. Win the special teams battle and you win
the night. So strategy is crystal clear. Squort early, put
stress on their defense, and outsmart them on special teams.
If the Cracking can pull this off, the Blackhuves won't
just be chasing the game, They'll be chasing their recovery.
And Chicago's offense will be about as dangerous as a
house cabin a windstorm, and by the end of the
(23:32):
night the only thing howl in the Windy City will
be their fans.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
Let's sounds a vivid immage house Let's star can I
can see?
Speaker 1 (23:44):
I see so clearly bats were harmed. Oh out, what
a difference a year makes.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
Last year Seattle ten ten and one through twenty one games.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
This year nine to five and four.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
That's a six oh five winning percentage. They hold down
the second wild card and they are three points out
of first place. We've talked so much about the system
and the.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
Discipline that we've seen and it's really paying off.
Speaker 4 (24:10):
And now the.
Speaker 3 (24:11):
Kracking over the last handful of games are starting to
find that offense as well.
Speaker 4 (24:15):
Yeah, I think they're really it settled into this defensive
structure that Lane Lambert is employed, and they.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Believe in it.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
They believe that's the way they have to play to win.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
But the other side of the ice.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
They're still working on. You heard Lane Lambert talk about
putting pucks on net. The power play is sputtered a
little bit as of late over the last five games
sixteen percent. That's down from twenty percent over the last ten.
So they got to get that going here tonight. They
had a power play goal last game, so keep that momentum.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
There are some points in comments from Laye Lambert earlier
today about the Kraken and their inability to shoot it.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
Maybe they're not wanting this to shoot it.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
Defer l is the.
Speaker 3 (24:49):
Word that he used, and against the Blackhawks, who have
allowed two or fewer goals and five of their last
six games.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
You cannot be timid to shoot the puck here tonight. No,
you can.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
You're you're likely facing a very high Spencer Night as well,
and he's not one to give up goals easily. So
if you can't put thirty plus shots on net or
at least keep Chicago the two goals against or less,
which the Kracking have done, they're gonna get away from
you in this game. So you've got to play defensively first, obviously,
but you've got to funnel a ton of pucks towards
Spencer Night.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Spencer Night is hot. You know who's hotter, Mike Benton.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Mike Betton, He's hotter, He's standing by, He's got more

Twelve minutes away from Pug Drop for the Kraken and
Blackhawks at United Center, Mike betting with you back in
Network Central. Let's past ten seconds for a station ID
on the Global Credit Union Crack an Audio network, Well
the Crack and trying to bounce back from a road
trip opening loss in Detroit.
Speaker 9 (27:58):
The recap of that in how do They Get there? Ever?
Speaker 10 (28:00):
It fits you right now talking about that with Crack
and Eye coach Lane Lambert.
Speaker 22 (28:04):
Hey, thanks Mike Lane. Coming off of a four to
two loss in Detroit a couple of nights ago, take
us through that game in which it was kind of
back and forth. Some early second period goals allowed. Really
I think maybe signal the result in that one. To
take us back to your thoughts in.
Speaker 23 (28:19):
That game, yeah, I mean I thought we started the
game well, you know, and then overall the game itself,
it was back and forth. But I don't think we've
put ourselves in as good a position as we could
have to win the hockey game. I thought we did
some u characteristic things. We weren't very tight with our support,
(28:42):
both offensively and sometimes defensively. So we just have to
be a lot better. We got spread out too far
and just wasn't wasn't our best effort, but we did
have a chance to win the hockey game, and you know,
we've got to find a way to be better.
Speaker 22 (28:57):
I've asked you this a couple of times, and I
think with this team still so continuing to find ways
to get points, it's still relevant. Does it offer some
type of solace to know that this team, even sometimes
they don't have their best, they've always been in a
position to win games or mentally come away with points
every night.
Speaker 23 (29:13):
Well, what it tells you is that when you you know,
if you just improve your game by ten or twenty percent,
you know, you can win the hockey game. You know,
we do a pretty good job of keeping ourselves in
those games in this in the situations or the instances
that you talk about when maybe we're not at our best,
by playing solid defensively. That's why I want to have
a solid defensive game. You know, it gives you a
(29:34):
chance to win every night. So you know, yeah, I
mean we expect to be in every game, and you know,
we just we just have to make sure that we
are a little more consistent with the way we're supposed
to play.
Speaker 22 (29:47):
He called up Oscar Fisker Moulguard from the American Hockey League,
set to make as NHL debut here tonight. What precipitated
this move and what are you looking forward from his
game to help this team?
Speaker 23 (29:57):
Well, we you know, I think that we are looking
at kind of putting guys sort of a little bit
closer into roles and positions. That makes sense. You know,
we want to move up Tolvan in with Stevenson and
Schwartz and you know, and for right now, you know,
until McCann comes back, Cacko, you know that it's an
(30:19):
opportunity for Freddy Goudrovigo up and playing that third line
center role with Caten and Wright, So you know, a
fourth line center was needed. You know, I thought Ben
Myers did a good job when he was here in
that role, and Oscar's been playing really good down in
Coachella Valley, so he's going to get his opportunity. It's
more or less for me, just a little bit about
(30:42):
the makeup and structure our team. It has nothing to
do with you know, Joanny Neman or his play, you know,
but at the end of the day, we just felt
like we need another center from his time.
Speaker 10 (30:53):
So the krackend trying to rally around the debut of
Oscar Fisker, Mouleguard. That's at coach Lane, Lambert and more.
That conversation by the way up right now via the
crack And Audio Network on the iHeartRadio app. Stay tuned,
