Saturday afternoon, emotions were high between Seattle and the Edmonton Oilers,
who combined for fifty six minutes and penalties, with the
Oilers coming out victorious for nothing. Tonight, the Crack and
heading north for a quick trip over the border in
search of revenge against Edmonton before heading back home for
three in a row and five of their next six.

loss in uh Seattle on Saturday, and I think for
me it came down a special team Seattle.

Absolutely, you know you just can't go in opposite directions
on both your power play and your penalty kill, and
the Kracking did exactly that last Saturday night. They've gotta
be better tier tonight coming up against the same team.
But I think retribution has to feed in to the
game plan.

And I've always been.

A big believer of the team that gets blown out
in the first game of a home and home or
back to back, it's a lot easier for them to
make the adjustments, and I would almost favor them in
that situation. The crowd can know where they messed up,
they know where they have to improve, whereas if you're Edmonton,
you may have this.

We just beat these guys for nothing.

Yeah, And while the outcome might have been the dark
spot along with the special teams, there were some bright
spots up Berkeley Catton did not have his first goal,
brought his first breakaway, yes, head the face off for
better fifty six percent in the game, and Seattle match
Edmonton's shot for shot in the game twenty four each
at the end of the third period. So definitely, they
definitely know they can play with his teams, this team,
but they've got to get better on the special teams on.

one apiece. Well, the Cracking had four days off, that's
all gone in the rear view of mirror, and it's
gonna get really busy, really fast. They have eleven games
next twenty days, sitting into the holiday break, and among

them it's up against Edmonton, Minnesota, the Kings twice, the
Colorado Avalanche, and the Anaheim Ducks all among that so
high impact games, the Kraken are trying to level up
here coming up on this part of the schedule. This
game is a rematch with a Krack and lost for
nothing to Edmonton. Leon dry sitle second period goal from

last Saturday broke open a tight game and familiar face
is getting on the scores sheet for Edmonton. Connor McDavid,
Leon Dry, Title, Zach Kaiman, Ryan NuGen Hopkins all scoring
while Stewart Skinner got a twenty six save shutout and
the Krack and Special teams looking for a bounce back
in the worst kind of way after going through a
rough day power play going zero for six, including a

first period two man advantage which fell short and a
penalty kill, giving up two power play goals on two chances,
plus some bad blood boiling also as well. Mason Marshman
ahead on Darnell Nurse late first period that angered the Oilers.
Marschmant had Nurse in his ear all day. Leon Dreysettle
took a run at marchmant elbowing penalty was the call.

Then third period two fights broke out, neither though with
Marchmant and Nurse and both players the latter given tim
the misconducts they were done. Marchman will not play tonight,
hasn't been practicing all week. Lane Lambert Saint recently he

I think we can obviously generate more offense, more shots

little bit harder, and you know, get pucks back off
second opportunities, and you know, I feel like we're kind
of making vsy on teams right now, just kind of
want and done. Definitely got to be a better.

Offensive and the reason for that the offense is still scuffling. Recently,
They've been held to three goals or less and nine
in the last eleven games. They have been shut out
into the last three. They've been backing on practice here
as a major factor for a turnaround this week. But
on the flip side, goaltending and defense has still been
pretty strong the Crack and allowing two point six goals

a game, though from that loss against Edmonton that slipped
them from set or from second to seventh best in
the NHL. The five on five goals allowed only thirty
six that is still best in the entire league, while
teams say percentage for the Crack in five on five
nine to three three that remains also tops in the NHL.
Another way to combat the drought as far as I

offense for the Kraken, well loosen things up and they
had a very entertaining and spirited small area games practice
this past week, and they also drafted two teams captain
by youngsters Shane Wright and Berkeley Catton, and Wright said
it helped the Kraken get back to a foundation of
their attitude, a little bit switch up on what we're
doing there for practice, you know, draft some teams and

just you know playing some games, having some fun and
you know, being competitive, and yeah, nice switch up here
and there.

And it was fun today for sure.

So the Crack and hope that can be a palad
cleanser leading us here into our storylines. And first off,
it is special teams. First off, can they stay out
of the box. Well, if not, the penalty killed needs
a boost. They have given up goals in ten of
the last twelve games, ranking next to last in the league.
Plus the power player trying to snap out of a
four game goal scoring draft, and they face Edmonton, who

has gone nine of their last nine on the PK.
Second storyline, impact on the blue line. First on Vince Done,
one more goal or an assist gives him three hundred
points for his NHL career. He's got thirteen points in
twenty five games against Edmonton's second most among the Kraken
active on the roster along with Brandon Montoural, so he

could be a factor for this one. Nobody's had more
goals among NHL defensemen in games coming off of three
days of rest or more, and this is the case
where Montour's had fourteen goals in that situation. So bottom line,
he and duncan chew up plenty of ice time and
that could be essentially a tool here to be effective.
Third storyline, the lineup shuffle Jared mccamn back in the

top line with Matty Beniers and Jordan Everley. Berkeley Catton
moving up now to the second line with Chandler Stevenson
and Elie Toulvenen plus Yanni Numan also back in was
out previously for the last five games. Looking like he'll
skate with Shane Wright and Koppo Kacko wil Your fourth
line plenty of jam Ty Cartier, Freddie Gaudreaux and Ryan
Winterton going left to right. Let's hear more on the

Kraken side and Berkeley. Catton made more big impressions last Saturday,

trying to figure out right now is this real based
on last couple of games they played or are they
still sucking for skier? But typically this is a month
they turn it on. Last two years, they're eighteen seven
and one in December. That's tied for first in the
NHL as far as collective record with a Vegas Golden

Knights plus over the last two years one point two
toy seven goal differential average that is tops in the
entire league. But their matter is still under the hood
pretty alarming right now. Five on five goal ratio next
to last teams say percentage eight six eight that's last
five on five goals allowed, they rank last. Plus goal

differential minus fifteen that is fifth lowest in the entire NHL.
But are they tightening the screws a little bit more
As far as their last game, well, they only lost
of Minnesota one nothing back on Tuesday, so they've only
allowed one goal now over the last two games, where
previously they gave up thirty three over a span of seven.
Yet also they haven't allowed more than thirty shots last

three games in a row, plus penalty kill win two
of two where they have stopped the last nine of nine.
So essentially it's early no more here and perhaps the
Oilers trying to work with being a little more aggressive.

in chunks. These eleven games, that's the next chunk of
schedule heading up to the holiday break, and you know,
you can look at the teams and say, well, who's beatable,
who's not. I just look at it from the standpoint
of what do you want to come away with? In points?

search of revenge against Edmonton before heading back home for
three in a row and five of their next six.

me it came down a special team Seattle.

Absolutely, you know you just can't go in opposite directions
on both your power play and your penalty kill, and
the Kracking did exactly that last Saturday night. They've gotta
be better tier tonight coming up against the same team.
But I think retribution has to feed in to the
game plan.

And I've always been.

A big believer of the team that gets blown out
in the first game of a home and home or
back to back, it's a lot easier for them to
make the adjustments, and I would almost favor them in
that situation. The crowd can know where they messed up,
they know where they have to improve, whereas if you're Edmonton,
you may have this.

Sense of has if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
We just beat these guys for nothing.

Yeah, And while the outcome might have been the dark
spot along with the special teams, there were some bright
spots up Berkeley Catton did not have his first goal,
brought his first breakaway, yes, head the face off for
better fifty six percent in the game, and Seattle match
Edmonton's shot for shot in the game twenty four each
at the end of the third period. So definitely, they
definitely know they can play with his teams, this team,
but they've got to get better on the special teams on.

This Edmonton Oiler is five hundred over their last five games,

next twenty days, sitting into the holiday break, and among

them it's up against Edmonton, Minnesota, the Kings twice, the
Colorado Avalanche, and the Anaheim Ducks all among that so
high impact games, the Kraken are trying to level up
here coming up on this part of the schedule. This
game is a rematch with a Krack and lost for
nothing to Edmonton. Leon dry sitle second period goal from

last Saturday broke open a tight game and familiar face
is getting on the scores sheet for Edmonton. Connor McDavid,
Leon Dry, Title, Zach Kaiman, Ryan NuGen Hopkins all scoring
while Stewart Skinner got a twenty six save shutout and
the Krack and Special teams looking for a bounce back
in the worst kind of way after going through a
rough day power play going zero for six, including a

first period two man advantage which fell short and a
penalty kill, giving up two power play goals on two chances,
plus some bad blood boiling also as well. Mason Marshman
ahead on Darnell Nurse late first period that angered the Oilers.
Marschmant had Nurse in his ear all day. Leon Dreysettle
took a run at marchmant elbowing penalty was the call.

Then third period two fights broke out, neither though with
Marchmant and Nurse and both players the latter given tim
the misconducts they were done. Marchman will not play tonight,
hasn't been practicing all week. Lane Lambert Saint recently he
is day to day undisclosed reason so the crack and
missing his physical presence along with Jayden Schwartz, who has

also been a thorn in the oiler's side for much
of his career. But after that game, four days off
here for the Kraken to rest or practice, and Jared
McCann said this week it was time well spent working
on offense with energy.

I think we can obviously generate more offense, more shots
towards the that kind of make the goalie work a
little bit harder, and you know, get pucks back off
second opportunities, and you know, I feel like we're kind
of making vsy on teams right now, just kind of
want and done. Definitely got to be a better.

Offensive and the reason for that the offense is still scuffling. Recently,
They've been held to three goals or less and nine
in the last eleven games. They have been shut out
into the last three. They've been backing on practice here
as a major factor for a turnaround this week. But
on the flip side, goaltending and defense has still been
pretty strong the Crack and allowing two point six goals

a game, though from that loss against Edmonton that slipped
them from set or from second to seventh best in
the NHL. The five on five goals allowed only thirty
six that is still best in the entire league, while
teams say percentage for the Crack in five on five
nine to three three that remains also tops in the NHL.
Another way to combat the drought as far as I
(10:00):
offense for the Kraken, well loosen things up and they
had a very entertaining and spirited small area games practice
this past week, and they also drafted two teams captain
by youngsters Shane Wright and Berkeley Catton, and Wright said
it helped the Kraken get back to a foundation of
their attitude, a little bit switch up on what we're
doing there for practice, you know, draft some teams and

just you know playing some games, having some fun and
you know, being competitive, and yeah, nice switch up here
and there.

And it was fun today for sure.

So the Crack and hope that can be a palad
cleanser leading us here into our storylines. And first off,
it is special teams. First off, can they stay out
of the box. Well, if not, the penalty killed needs
a boost. They have given up goals in ten of
the last twelve games, ranking next to last in the league.
Plus the power player trying to snap out of a
four game goal scoring draft, and they face Edmonton, who
(10:50):
has gone nine of their last nine on the PK.
Second storyline, impact on the blue line. First on Vince Done,
one more goal or an assist gives him three hundred
points for his NHL career. He's got thirteen points in
twenty five games against Edmonton's second most among the Kraken
active on the roster along with Brandon Montoural, so he
(11:11):
could be a factor for this one. Nobody's had more
goals among NHL defensemen in games coming off of three
days of rest or more, and this is the case
where Montour's had fourteen goals in that situation. So bottom line,
he and duncan chew up plenty of ice time and
that could be essentially a tool here to be effective.
Third storyline, the lineup shuffle Jared mccamn back in the
(11:34):
top line with Matty Beniers and Jordan Everley. Berkeley Catton
moving up now to the second line with Chandler Stevenson
and Elie Toulvenen plus Yanni Numan also back in was
out previously for the last five games. Looking like he'll
skate with Shane Wright and Koppo Kacko wil Your fourth
line plenty of jam Ty Cartier, Freddie Gaudreaux and Ryan
Winterton going left to right. Let's hear more on the
(11:56):
Kraken side and Berkeley. Catton made more big impressions last Saturday,
a threatening shot off the rush as part of his
arsenal plus a breakaway that will stop by Stewart Skinner. Nonetheless,
Jared McCann said he is seeing a lot of growth
out of Catton.

You know, we're we're trying to take as much pressure
off of him as we possibly can. You know, we're

trying to figure out right now is this real based
on last couple of games they played or are they
still sucking for skier? But typically this is a month
they turn it on. Last two years, they're eighteen seven
and one in December. That's tied for first in the
NHL as far as collective record with a Vegas Golden
(15:28):
Knights plus over the last two years one point two
toy seven goal differential average that is tops in the
entire league. But their matter is still under the hood
pretty alarming right now. Five on five goal ratio next
to last teams say percentage eight six eight that's last
five on five goals allowed, they rank last. Plus goal
(15:48):
differential minus fifteen that is fifth lowest in the entire NHL.
But are they tightening the screws a little bit more
As far as their last game, well, they only lost
of Minnesota one nothing back on Tuesday, so they've only
allowed one goal now over the last two games, where
previously they gave up thirty three over a span of seven.
Yet also they haven't allowed more than thirty shots last
(16:11):
three games in a row, plus penalty kill win two
of two where they have stopped the last nine of nine.
So essentially it's early no more here and perhaps the
Oilers trying to work with being a little more aggressive.
We have heard on the Ford check, yet that's going
to get put here to the test for this evening.
First off, your oiler story lines begin once again with

Connor McDavid and Leon dry Settle where the Kraken have
to keep them in check. McDavid has a point or
better in eleven to fourteen matchups against the Kracking, but
on the flip side, he has just scored two goals
last seven games. Dry sidle, he has worn the Cracking
