Speaker 2 (00:19):
Seattle Kraken Hockey is an exclusive presentation of the Emerald
Quin Casino Kraken Audio Network.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
The emotions were high on Monday night in Anaheim as
Seattle bound today thrilling come from behind whim Shane Wright
and Andre Berrakowski each snapped lengthy golds routes that paled
in comparison to the length of their review, relieved grins
on each of their faces, and the physicality picked up
in the second after a Ty Carcier hit on Lee
(00:48):
Carlson that undoubtedly has not been forgotten by the Ducks.
Speaker 4 (00:52):
Tonight, Seattle looks for their.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Ninth win in a row over Anaheim and their sixth
victory in their last eight out as they continue a
five game stretch through the Pacific Division.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
In Game two of this home.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
And home with the Anaheim Dunts, good evening Ladies, and gentlemen,
welcome back inside of Climate Pledge Arena. Happy Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving
Eve alongside al Kiniski.

for Seattle, the Kracking falling.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
Behind in that game two to one.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
Andre Berrekowski Shane Wright both get off the schneid. Another
defensive strong performance for Seattle. Two goals allowed for now
the seventh consecutive game on their way to a three
to two win down on the Pond.
Speaker 5 (01:46):
Yeah, lots of takeaway from the game Monday night. In
that Anaheim win, Shuttle was perfect two on two for
two on the penalty kill. You mentioned defense, Joey Decorda
playing lights out once again. Brandon Montourge goals in three
straight games and in this one the game winning one.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
I think the biggest play of that game, however, happened
in the second period Ty Kartsha a big hit on
Leo Carlson, who was not in the game here tonight.
There was a lot of argument and talk about should
that have been an interference penalty on ty Kartja or
not ended up getting a penalty on that. But I'd
have to imagine in the Anaheim locker room, you go
(02:24):
after one of our stars, we're going to mark down
that number and come back here tonight.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
Yeah, Lil Carlson's definitely somebody they're gonna miss. He's a
youngster that he's not even twenty yet. Yeah, but he's
up there as far as kids in the league debt
are still teenagers as far as points go, So they're
gonna miss him in the line up here tonight.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
One of five players on that Anaheim Duck roster twenty
one years of age or younger. On the other side
of the red mine in the Anaheim DUTs, they are
now board two and one in their last seven games
after starting four to seven to two.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
They've been able to find their offense. It's been a
youth movement.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
As I said, five players twenty one and under. This
isn't your father's Anaheim Ducks. It seems like this season
the Dubs as well as the San Jose Sharks, who
will see in a couple of days, they're starting to
make those strides North.
Speaker 5 (03:13):
Yeah, if Troy Terry had a big impact on the
game the other night, He's got fourteen points. He's their
team leader endpoints, so you know, keep an eye on
him tonight. Frank Matronto, who's had a bit of a
down year, had a goal in that game as well,
So we'll see if that confidence carries over.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Final home game before Thanksgiving, which lands tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Seattle will then have a home and.

are thirty one minutes away from puck drop against Anaheim,
So how about a great place to go just thirty
minutes away? Now there is no Qualme Casino and Hotel, Visiness,

Once again, Glad You're with us.
Speaker 11 (07:13):
Mike Betton with you back by the Corpse Light landing
in section twenty. Once again, Happy Thanksgiving as well ahead
of tomorrow to those who celebrate, there's a Kraken coming
in right now eleven ten and one point total at
twenty three six in the Pacific and one back of
the cut line in the Western Conference. The Ducks eight
nine and three with nineteen points in right now tied
for last in the Pacific Division.
Speaker 9 (07:35):
Your osby bet MGM.
Speaker 11 (07:36):
The line with the cracking at minus two ten and
the over under is right now at five and a half.
Speaker 9 (07:42):
Well.
Speaker 11 (07:43):
The Kraken won the first round of this three game
series battle Monday, that was a three to two win
a Honda Center, and they'll spar once again tonight one
last time here for this matchup, by the way, coming
right back in this place on January twenty eighth, and
among the top moments Shane Reich at a first period
goal and a statement making game after being scratched for
three in a row one goal, one assist, also and
(08:05):
the Kraken coming back in the third with two goals
in twenty four seconds, Andre Burakowski getting his long sought
after first goal of the season, then Brandon Montor the
eventual game winner on a point shot that got right
through a leaping screen and passed lukash Dostall the Krack
and also setting him up with a face off win.
That was the theme of the night. They were sixty
(08:27):
percent at the dot and that quick draw helped make
a big impact in the contest of the crack and
now up to eight consecutive wins against Anaheim, the record
standing at nine to two and one. Plus the emotional
side of things, Everett now touching on it. A brief
dust up back in period two with Ty Cartier hitting
Leo Carlson at the front of the net, Carlson then
(08:48):
colliding into the goalposts. He would not return on your
scrum ensued. So we'll see if numbers are taken here
for the rematch. We'll go right ahead here to Brandon
Montur on how any kind of emotional carryover affects this game,
this evening.
Speaker 12 (09:03):
Yeah, man, I think just against consistently no feeling good,
I mean down in the score, you know, I mean,
you'd prefer the motion kind of starting off right off,
you know, the bat when the game starts.
Speaker 9 (09:15):
But you know, again, it's it's.
Speaker 12 (09:18):
One of those where you got to collect two points
in which we did and you know carry in today.
Speaker 11 (09:23):
So the attention moving back to home ice for basically
a one off though it's a busy schedule around Thanksgiving
and the grind of this week featuring four games in
six days. Three plane trips also involved after the Monday
game of course, then tacking onto the trip heading into
San Jose and then right back for home after that. Soever,
now hope you got your bags backed already here. Two
(09:45):
separate home and home series also featured against specific division rivals,
and by past history these should be winnable games and
cracking at home against the Ducks four straight wins, only
lost coming back in November of twenty twenty one, and
when at home in this series, this offense gets cranking
seventeen goals with the Kraken last four wins on home
ice seven power play goals combined as well. Then you
(10:08):
got San Jose up ahead for a home and home
series in San Jose for Black Friday, then back here
the next night, and the Kraken record seven and four
against the Sharks. They have won the last three of
five as well. Home cooking also treating the Kraken very well,
recently five and one in the last six game homestand
but the defensive side of things also getting better the
(10:29):
Crack and allowing two goals or less and all but
one of those games in the homestand, and that was
a four to three overtime win over Vegas back on
November eighth.
Speaker 9 (10:39):
Your kracking story lines, first.
Speaker 11 (10:40):
Off, begin with carry over from period three Monday here
in two period one tonight, that's when the Krack and
of course going back, earned their first comeback win when
trailing after two periods. The goal scoring was the headline,
but they're play moving it up ice and also some
emotion involved also a big part of it, the Crack
and helping them sell scoring first.
Speaker 9 (11:01):
It would help more if they can.
Speaker 11 (11:02):
Force the Ducks to chase after one period here in
this building, because when leading after one, the Kraken are
two to zero and one this season, but it's only
happened three times in the first twenty two games. Only
Saint Louis has done this, lest the Kraken would love
to do it more. Secondly, there's again pact to Brandon Montur,
the x Ducks defenseman still playing at an elite level
(11:24):
since the startup this season. He's on a three game
goal scoring streak first time in his career, by the way,
for that, also carrying fifteen points in twenty two games
at is second most by a defenseman on a new team.
Only Shane gossips Spere for Carolina has more with sixteen
points in twenty one games. And finally, here's Matty Benierz's line.
The Kraken saw some positive signs out of what that
(11:47):
trio gave recently. Of notes, Andre Borakowski his right winger
on the board from Monday. He's got fifteen points in
twenty five career games against the Ducks. Also seven points
last seven games in the series. Jared Can fourteen points
in nineteen against Anaheim, and Niers has flat out tortured
the Ducks sixteen points in nine career games against anna Hide. Well,
(12:09):
that's hear more. And here's Brandon Mont throwing now the
Krack and want to take the pace from the end
of Monday into this evening again.
Speaker 12 (12:16):
Speed coming together starts obviously Joe or grooves back there,
moving tucks quick to us, bringing it up, keeping it
together kind of as a five, like I was saying,
all over the ice, and the quicker we do that,
the better.
Speaker 4 (12:28):
Obviously we play.
Speaker 11 (12:30):
It's a long season and it can be a grind
sometimes getting ready for the next one. And the Kraken
will play three times next four days against just two teams,
and Ryker Revens had more on how he's getting ready
for the schedule ahead.
Speaker 13 (12:43):
Yeah, it's kind of crazy. I took a look at
it yesterday. I didn't really realize we played back to
back games in the NHL like that against the same team.
That's more an ahel thing. But no, it's I mean,
it's it's a tight schedule, so you have to take
care of the body in the gym.
Speaker 11 (13:00):
It'll be Joey decorda net once again three and zero
against the Ducks. In his career, he had twenty one saves.
And Monday's win and your injury update courtesy Zoomcare Beyond
Better Healthcare. Ben's done out seventeen games long term IR
mid body ailman, but Dan Bilesma was saying likely this
weekend is a target date for him to come back.
Jordan Everley out, of course, three months that minimum long
(13:22):
term IR after PELVI surgery. And by the way, Ben
Myers recently called up. He was sent back down to
AHL Coachella Valley the other day, and we'll see how
that affects the roster moving ahead.
Speaker 9 (13:33):
Ever heard of zoom.

So served up by Frostbrewed Corpse Light, Joe Chill, Mike
Benton with you in time now for a look at
the Ducks. Same face as a course from Monday, but
in a new place, and we're familiar with the names
like Trevor Siegris, Troy Terry, even Captain Radcoguda send young
defenseman Olin Zelweger. That are two back in the Puget
Sound area and not too far away from where they
(16:45):
played WHL hockey with the Everett Silver Tips. But under
head coach Greg Cronin, they're a team that's talented but
young and still a little raw, yet making a little
bit more pace. At eight nine and three, they're allowing
more than half a goal less on average than last season,
but in other areas they got a long road ahead.
(17:06):
Two and a half goals allowed or two and a
half goals per game that is six worst in the league,
power play at fourteen percent that's third worst, penalty kills
seventy one percent that's fourth worst, shots allowed thirty three
per game that has last in the NHL as well.
Plus injuries. Also Mountain Ducks without Cam Fowler, Robbie Fabri
and Brock McGinn Leocarlson, by the way, unfortunately did not
(17:30):
return Monday after colliding with the Post. Did not practice
Tuesday in the Ducks with that recalling defenseman Tyson Hines
from AHL San Diego. Storylines here for the Ducks first
off special teams and depending if this one gets heated,
their penalty kill may have to bail them out. Overall,
they've been struggling twenty ninth in the NHL at seventy
one percent, but the road a different story, ninth best,
(17:53):
allowing just four goals in twenty four chances. Power play,
they've been a bumpy ride. Thirtieth in the NHL. Troy
and Mason McTavish they'll lead that power play the five
points apiece and secondly containing Trevor Segres. He has been
struggling this season three goals in twenty games, but tough
to handle in this series ten points and eleven lifetime games.
(18:13):
He has also won a three game point streak before
in total. After the game Monday, head coach Great Cronin
said he wants more from his team like he saw
from the start on Monday night.
Speaker 5 (18:25):
But he just got to play like we did the
first period.
Speaker 16 (18:27):
I mean, you know, we we were playing our game.
Speaker 5 (18:31):
We just got off it. It happens, and it's not
it's not complicated, you know.
Speaker 13 (18:36):
We just we've got to play to us structure, play

Speaker 3 (22:07):
A win here and I listen, I'm not saying nothing
or nothing Thanksgiving American Thanksgivings tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (22:15):
Crack and win tonight. They are in a wildcard.
Speaker 5 (22:18):
Spot as long as one other team doesn't win.
Speaker 4 (22:22):
We ain't talking about We're talking about us right here.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
Okay, what do they need to do to get into
that playoff spot regardless of what that other.
Speaker 4 (22:29):
Team has to do tonight as well?
Speaker 5 (22:31):
All right, Well, first of all, tidy up the d
zone and the neutral zone. No unforced errors. Tonight last
game had the Cracking giving up the puck too much
in their half of the ice. There were fourteen giveaways
in total. Better first passes exiting that D zone will
limit Cracking giveaways. Secondly, keep the defensive gaps tight. You
actually heard Riker Evans talk about that in his interview
(22:52):
a little bit. Anaheim is great on the rush, and
therefore Seattle's defense will need to keep their gaps tight.
They've got youth and speed and will hurt you on
the score if you don't close those gaps quickly. And
then third, win the even strength scoring. All three of
seatl's goals Monday were even strength. Seattle is fifth with
eighty three point six percent of their goals coming into
(23:12):
even strength this season, but Anaheim is six with eighty
two percent. In fact, both teams were a combined zero
for four in the power play down in Anaheim, so
even strength scoring was the only scoring getting done that night.
Tonight's outcome will likely come down to which team is
more successful five on five rather than special teams. The
boys are back in town for a pre Thanksgiving contest.
(23:35):
Tidy up the crack it end of the ice, keep
the defensive gaps tight, win the even strength scoring, and
instead of turkey for dinner, you'll be enjoying some duck
here tonight.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
I'd say, listen, some folks do have duck on there
Thanksgiving table. We've talked a lot about the power play
over the last fifteen two for their last twenty three.
Coming into this game, you're going up against one of
the worst pks in the NHL twenty ninth and the
Anaheim Ducks. If something has to give here tonight, last night,
or I guess Monday night, number of posts, a number
(24:06):
of close calls for Seattle, they have to find a
way to bury a few more of those. You've heard Dan,
You've heard Bob, other players talk about We've come so close,
but that excuse can no longer fly.
Speaker 5 (24:17):
Sure, Sure, and I think there were four posts the
Kraken had Monday night. I don't know how many were
on the power play, at least a couple of those.
But I think that the goals have to start to
come not necessarily clean, much like the Andre Brukowski's well
we saw the other night, where you just go hard
than that rebound comes up into your chest when you
knock it in. Mccken almost had a goal like that
off of mccartchay shot. That was one of those posts
(24:37):
yep as well, but it might have to come a
little journey before it comes clean. But that's how you
start getting that percentage of going back up in the
right direction.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Grekowski off the schneid, Shane Wright with his first goal.
Since I had a few games off, what'd you like
about their games?
Speaker 4 (24:52):
And I feel like those are two.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
Players that if it rains, it pours, they get their
first one. We should see two, three and four come
in bunches for the those two guys.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
Yeah, I went back and watched all three goals from
Monday night. But you asked about the Breakowsky and Rights goals.
What I liked about the Breakowsky goal was the battle
in the corner. He was first to the puck in
the offensive zone. You know, he threw a bit of
a body, but he was first to the puck. He
got the puck up the wall to Maddie and then
what he did he went hard to the front of
the net. Same as the Right goal. He got into
a battle and then he went hard to the front
(25:21):
of the net. Starting to see a theme there go
to the front of the net. You get shots from
the point or in this case, from the side on
Berukowski's a goal, and good things happen. Not every time,
you know, you got to pay the price a little bit,
but that's where the good things happened, and both those
guys did.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
Speaking of good things happening, Mike Betton made his NHL
DA I for you on Monday. Buddy, congratulations again, Mike.
Very proud of you, very happy for you. Thank you

Speaker 4 (28:40):
We're back with Cracking head coach Dan Bilesman. Dan, you
get a three to two win against Anaheim the other night.
It was a come from behind win. I think the
word of the day was a motion that you used
in your presser this morning.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
Just take us back to a game.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
In which the Kraken seemingly found their offense.
Speaker 8 (28:57):
They got better as the game went on.
Speaker 22 (29:00):
Yeah, I think it was a game, a good reaction
game from our group. I think, you know, as the
game war on in the first two periods, you know,
we had some opportunities, we had some good looks, we
had some posts, we had some pucks behind the goalie that.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
You know could lead to frustration.
Speaker 22 (29:20):
We find ourselves down to to one throughout those first
two periods and you have to respond in the third.
And I think the frustration didn't build in the guys
kept their nose downs, kept on the game plan, and
kept pushing forward and going into the third period, And
it happened pretty quick in the third period. You know,
a few minutes in we'll find ourselves up three too.
(29:41):
And then.
Speaker 4 (29:43):
You know, I thought.
Speaker 22 (29:46):
The focus changed from our group a little bit in
the last seventeen minutes of that period and displayed some
real solid defense to secure the win.
Speaker 9 (29:53):
So the Crack and looking to build off of that.
Those words from Dan Biosma and more to that conversation.
Speaker 11 (29:58):
