Church New York City are pleased to present Atwena Auben
sharing how prayer brings peace.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Hello everyone, I'm at Wayne Auben. I used to be
an academic, and prior to that, I worked today in
a medically based healthcare field. Today my work is spiritual
healing as a Christian Science practitioner and teacher. I'm going
to talk about spiritual laws and how they enriches. I'll

(01:15):
speak about how these laws are our ultimate government, and
we can find peace and calm even amidst turmoil. I
live in Australia, which is many miles away from the
United States of America, but our countries have a very
close alliance, and with the prevalence of news, I'm well

(01:39):
aware of the issues facing your country, and certainly with
the upcoming election, I know that election time can be
a time of insecurity. It can bring worry because we
don't know what the outcome will be. We don't know
whether it'll bring a sense of peace to our community

(02:01):
or whether there will be angst. What I'm going to
be speaking about today is a different perspective of government,
the divine government of God that is the supreme government
and controls our lives with harmony. When we understand who

(02:25):
God really is and God's government of life and the universe,
we can find peace and calm within our thought, a
sense of security regardless of what is going on around us.
I've prayed for all my life that I can recall.

(02:48):
In my late twenties, I came into the study and
practice of Christian science, and I came to understand prayer
from a new perspective. I found that prayer could bring
a sense of peace in the face of great turmoil,

(03:08):
of great angst, that I could find health when I
was sick, that I could replace great grief with joy,
and that prayer helped to direct and guide me for
all sorts of problems, it didn't matter whether little problems

(03:30):
or big problems. In Christian Science, prayer is understood to
be a form of communication with God, and it's where
we each actively listen for God's thoughts. We're not trying
to tell God what to do, but we're listening for

(03:54):
what God has to say to us. When we find
that sense of assurance, that peace, that well being, that
God Divine Love is really governing and is the supreme
government over all life, then we find a great sense

(04:18):
of peace and assurance and well being because those false
influences in thought that suggest that conflict, distress, angst, you know,
ill health, that they're governing our experience, they're just washed
away and they're replaced with this assurance of Divine Love's

(04:41):
loving care. Christian science is discovered by a woman of
the nineteenth century. Her name is Mary Baker Eddie, and
she founded a church, the Church of Christ Scientist, and
its headquarters are located in Massachusetts, USA. She defines Christian

(05:05):
science in part as the law of God. The law
of truth. Law is a rule, it's an authority that governs,
It makes something operate in a certain way. And God
is the divine intelligence, the divine mind that is underlying

(05:31):
the universe, governing all that is true and real about
God's creation. So what happens when we're faced with discord?
Are those discordant situations, those inharmonious situations, are they of God?

(05:55):
Or are they false? Or? The Bible speaks to about
anything that is unlike God or unlike good because that's
what God creates, only good. Anything that's unlike that, the
Bible calls evil. And the Bible speaks of this false influence,

(06:18):
suggesting that there is this other power that is governing
our life. As a liar, as a tempter, our thoughts
can influence our experience. And if we accept those, you know,

(06:39):
those unpleasant things, as the true power governing us, then
that false influence does seem to have an effect on us.
It has an adverse effect on us. But through prayer,

(06:59):
where our thoughts are aligned with what is true of
God's creation, of God's law and God's government. Then we
become aware of God's almighty, loving presence, and with that

(07:22):
enlightenment in thought, we're freed from those false influences that
suggest distress, discord in harmony are the power, and with
that shift in our awareness in our consciousness, then we

(07:42):
experience the harmony of God's law. If you find what
you're hearing now useful, you can hear other helpful encouraging
programs by phone dial three three two two five, five, six,

(08:03):
seven eight nine to hear Bible lessons, Sentinel Watch or
a Spanish program El Heraldo. These weekly programs offer practical
healing spiritual ideas. Dial three three two two five five, six,

(08:24):
seven eight nine. I'll give an example now of how
I've found prayer to bring a great sense of calm
to my thought, regardless of what had been suggested otherwise,
that false influence that had been coming to thought. I'm

(08:45):
a motorbike rider, and I have been since a young
teenager on the family phone, and a few years ago
I was planning a journey by myself for a couple
of days on my motor bike. But these false suggestions
of these false thoughts kept coming to me, suggesting that

(09:08):
I was going to have an accident. Now, I knew
through my study of the Bible that God does not
speak to us in a way that's going to bring
fear or distress. God's thoughts are always peaceful, loving, harmonious,

(09:30):
and God doesn't create or cause distress or accidents. So
I know. I knew with certainty that these thoughts were
not coming from God, and so I prayed. I didn't
outline saying I want to go on my motorbike. I
just stopped all that planning and I listened for what

(09:56):
God had to say. Was it right for me to
ride my motorbike or should I drive? I just let
go of any of that and I listened well. As
I did, what became clear to me was that those
suggestions of an accident were coming to me from a
belief that I was a woman. I was traveling by myself,

(10:20):
so maybe it wasn't safe, I was older, and was
that right? But underlying those suggestions was the belief that
there is another power governing our life and that God
is not supreme. And I know that God is supreme.

(10:43):
God is omnipotent all power, so there can't be another
power if God is all power. With that uncovering of
where those suggestions were coming from. I felt a great
sense of peace. So I headed off early one morning

(11:05):
on this trip. A couple of hours into the journey,
the road detoured onto an unsealed road. Now, my motorbike
is designed for sealed roads, but you know, I was
already a few hours into the journey, and I thought
it's probably only a short detour, so I proceeded. I

(11:29):
was riding carefully along the road. As I came up
over a rise, I saw that there was water covering
the road below me, and so I very carefully pulled
up my motorbike. As I did, it just slipped out
from under me and I just stepped off. Now, try

(11:51):
as I might, I could not get that motorbike upright.
Its handlebars were firmly twisted right round and wedged into
the ground, and it weighed about five hundred pounds. I
just couldn't get it up. So here I was, early
in the morning, on a fairly isolated road. I had

(12:15):
no cell phone reception. It was at least an hour's
drive in either direction to the nearest town. But I
didn't feel any sense of worry or fear. Sure humanly,
it looked like I was completely stuck. You know, there

(12:36):
was no one around to help. But from that earlier
prayer about this trip, I felt this great sense of
assurance that God was present and there would be an
answer to this dilemma. I stopped trying to get that
motorbike upright and I just stood there, quietly, turning my

(13:01):
thought to God, just acknowledging God was there. Within moments
of that silent prayer, two motorbike riders on bikes that
were designed for unsealed roads came over the rise, stopped,
got my motorbike upright, and then very lovingly followed me

(13:27):
through that water crossing to ensure that I was safe
getting across there. They continued to follow me through another
three water crossings that detaour was much much longer than
I'd anticipated, but they just stayed behind, following carefully, and

(13:49):
as soon as we got to a sealed road, they
happily waved goodbye and off they went, and I headed
off in the direction that I needed to go. As
soon as I got to the town that was the
next place along that road, I stopped to tip the
water out of my motorbike book boots. I hadn't looked

(14:13):
at my motorbike up to that point, they just got
it upright for me and I just proceeded on through
the water crossing. When I looked at my motorbike, there
was absolutely no damage on it. That was really surprising
because that motorbike had what's called a full faring, so

(14:34):
this plastic covering all along the side of it, of
the engine there that had been lying firmly on that
gravel road, and yet there was absolutely no damage. What
stood out to me about this event was the importance

(14:57):
of being alert to those false suggestions that come to
thought that are not from God. That we really need
to be very alert to what is coming into our thought.
And if it's not of God, if it's not bringing
us a sense of peace and assurance of God's love

(15:19):
and care, then we need to turn to God to
bring our thoughts into that unity with what is true
of God's governance. And when we do, when we become
aware of it, when we really feel its presence, then

(15:42):
our experience is changed for the better. So what is
it that brings that awareness of God's power, of God's
presence and love. Well, it's the Christ, the divine influence
that comes to the human consciousness and lifts it up

(16:04):
to the divine to become conscious of what is true
and what is real, of God's creation and God's law
and care. Jesus was the embodiment of Christ. He was
inseparable from this mighty power, and his life example, his

(16:29):
ministry of healing, his teachings proved the supremacy of divine
love over the physical. Testimony that said discord was reigning.
He proved the physical did not reign, but rather God

(16:50):
Spirit was the almighty power. The Christian science textbook written
by Mary Baker Eddie is titled Science and Health with
Key to the Scriptures. And I'm going to read a
sentence from this textbook. It's in the very first chapter,

(17:11):
which is titled Prayer. Eddie writes, prayer cannot change the
science of being, but it tends to bring us into
harmony with it. That's an interesting statement, isn't it. Prayer
can't change the science of being. The science that she's

(17:36):
referring to there has a capital s. The science is
a divine science, the science of God as the only cause,
the only creator. That God is spirit, and therefore God
creates only that which is spiritual. That the universe, that

(17:59):
life is spiritual, and that the divine principle is love
because God is love. That's the science of being that's
referred to here. So prayer can't change that perfection, that beauty,
that holiness of God's good creation, but it tends to

(18:24):
bring us into harmony with it. So as we pray
in this way of actively listening, willing to let the
Christ inspire our thoughts, to uplift them, to bring them
to a sense of awareness with the science of being,

(18:46):
then our experience is changed for the better because we're
brought into harmony with what is true and real of
God's creation. People just tuning in, I'm Edwena Auben, and
I'm talking with you about how spiritual laws govern and

(19:08):
bring peace, health and joy to our lives. I'll give
an analogy now that I think helps to explain how
we need to have that shift in our thought away
from those false influences that would suggest that there's another

(19:30):
power other than God. Because while we're giving that seeming
other power any sense of weight, then it can affect us.
So think about a traditional scale. You've got two plates

(19:53):
on either side of this scale, and if you put
a weight on each plate. The heavier weight will pull
the scale down to its side, and it will take
away from the other side. So think about our thoughts
while we're being influenced, or while our thought is firmly

(20:15):
resting on the side of God, on the side of
God's good creation and government, the side of spirit divine love,
then it takes away from the side of the physical,
discordant sense of life. So with prayer, when we open

(20:39):
our thought to listen for what is true and real
of God's creation and God's government, then the Christ is
able to come in and shift our thought to firmly
be grounded on the side of God Spirit. Prayer in

(21:00):
includes faith. Faith in its simplest form, is a willingness
to challenge the physical evidence, the physical testimony, to consider
that there must be more to life than just what

(21:20):
the physical senses are presenting, that maybe there's a higher
power governing our life than the physical so called laws.
Throughout the Bible, there are many individuals who proved the

(21:41):
supremacy of God, of the spiritual law of God, that
the physical evidence was not the almighty power to distress
the in harmony that they were facing, was not the
supreme power Christ Jesus was the ultimate example. We can't

(22:07):
find a higher example than Jesus. He never doubted the
supremacy of God as the only power governing our life,
governing the universe. And because of this absolute faith, this

(22:30):
unwavering sense of what is true and real, he was
able to heal instantly. He healed all manner of human problems,
you know, chronic illness, deformity, lack. He was able to
heal it all. But there's an example in the Book

(22:54):
of Mark that I think is very helpful, where Jesus
is able to heal a man who showed severe mental illness,
great aggression. He appeared to be under this great influence
of something unpleasant. This man was naked, he lived in

(23:20):
the tombs, in the burial areas. At times he would
be chained, and yet he was so strong he was
able to break through those chains. You know, the influence
that was on him was just so aggressive he cut himself.
And yet in the Book of Mark we're told in

(23:43):
the presence of Jesus he finds complete healing, where it's
recorded that he's clothed and calm, he's there in his
right mind, and he's sitting at the feet of Jesus.
So what enabled Jesus to be able to heal such

(24:06):
an aggressive form of mental illness? In the Book of John,
I'm going to read from the New Living test Sorry,
I'll say that again, from the New Living Translation. There's
a statement there that Jesus makes about himself that I
think helps us to understand what gave Jesus the ability

(24:31):
to heal so decisively. This is Jesus saying, for I
have come down from heaven to do the will of
God who sent me. Right, So Jesus is saying he
doesn't do anything from his own will. He's doing the

(24:53):
will of God who sent him. It's not his personal ability.
He's doing what God wills. In other words, God's law
of governance, and the very fact that Jesus healed means
that God's will. God's law is to bring good, harmony peace.

(25:21):
In the Book of Psalms, the Psalmist writes, the Lord
is good to everyone everyone, no one is left out.
He showers compassion on all his creation. Well, that really
sums up God's will, doesn't it. It speaks very clearly

(25:44):
to say that God's will is to give good to everyone.
And this is exactly what Jesus proved he only brought
good to humanity. He only ever brought peace, supply, love, calmness.

(26:09):
If you've just joined us, we're talking today about how
God's laws help us find our way out of trouble.
I'm at Wenner, Auburn, and I'm a Christian scientist. This
program is brought to you by Third Church, New York
City and First Church, Ridgeford, Connecticut. My talk is part

(26:33):
of a series called Spiritual Solutions for Today's Challenges, which
runs every Saturday at this time until November twenty six.
I'll give another example of prayer from my own life
where I was able to find a great sense of

(26:56):
peace in the face of aggression. I had just started
working in a Christian Science reading Room. Now Christian Science
reading Room is a public place where anyone can come
in and purchase any of the literature produced by the

(27:19):
Christian Science Publishing Society. There's bibles, there's a Christian Science textbook,
there's periodicals. There's a whole lot of resources in there,
and you can come in and purchase them, or you
can sit and study them while you're in there, or
you can even borrow them. You can ask the reading

(27:40):
Room attendant questions about Christian science. They're really a wonderful
place to sit quietly and pray or study. Now I
had only just started working in this reading room, so
I wasn't familiar with the regular visitors. On this particular day,

(28:02):
a man who was dressed all in black. He was
clearly under the influence of alcohol. He was obvious that
he lived on the streets. You know. It wasn't a
very pleasant sight at all. He came in and he
asked if he could use the bathroom. I gently suggested

(28:27):
that he could use the public facilities that were just
a short distance up the road. But this just made
him really aggressive and agitated, and he pushed past me
to go out to the very back area of our
reading room to use the bathroom. He was out there

(28:49):
for quite some time, and I was grateful for that,
because his aggression as he pushed past me had really
disturbed me, and it gave me time to pray. I
just acknowledged that God's government was here, was in control,
that no one was outside of God's government because God

(29:16):
is the almighty power, the almighty rule, and that God's
government is harmonious, it's peaceful. Some time later, he came
out and stood on the top of a couple of
stairs from the back room with this intimidating mask pulled

(29:37):
over his face. At first I was afraid. I thought,
what's going on here? And then I found myself saying
something that really surprised me. And I know it came
from my time of prayer because I heard myself saying,

(30:00):
that's an interesting mask, but it isn't the real you. Well,
that just broke the whole aggressive, intimidating situation because he laughed.
He pushed the mask back up under his cap, and

(30:21):
all that aggressive behavior ceased Over the next few weeks.
I really prayed to see this man rightly, because the
physical picture was not attractive, it was not good. What

(30:42):
I prayed was to really see the true man of
God's creating, you know, to shift the scales of my
thought away from the physical evidence to rest firmly on
the side of God's government, of God's creation. Now, in prayer,

(31:02):
we don't ever ignore something that is not good. We
don't ignore it. We don't just simply say, oh, well,
that's it, it doesn't exist. What we do is we
hold to the science of being that which is true
of God's creation of God's law. We need to confront

(31:29):
in our own thought that there is the suggestion that
there is another power, such as addiction or aggression, that
is governing. There is no other power. God is the
all power. And I really held to the two great

(31:50):
commandments that Jesus gave us to love God with all
my heart and all my soul. And to do that,
I understood that men to hold to the fact that
God is the only God. And I needed to love another,
even this man that didn't seem very lovely. I needed

(32:14):
to love him as I loved myself. Well. One day
I was sitting in that reading room again and looking
out to the street in front of me. I saw
this man. He'd just come and stood directly in front
of the reading room. He appeared greatly troubled. You could

(32:38):
see in his whole demeanor he was greatly distressed. The
next minute, I saw this man walk out onto the
busy street in front of us, in front of an
oncoming bus. I didn't know how that bus was going

(32:59):
to stop, but it did, just inches from this man.
He stood there and then turned around and walked safely
back onto the footpath. My heart just went out to him.
It could see before the distress and the angs, but

(33:20):
he seemed to walk away with a greater sense of peace,
and after that my interactions with him were cordial. He
actually apologized for some aggressive behavior, and on one occasion

(33:40):
he was actually thoughtful and concerned for my welfare. Jesus
tells us that when we know the truths, the truth
will set us free. And that truth, when we know
it for our and we know it for another, it

(34:02):
blesses all those around us. It's the Christ, that universal
spirit of truth and love, that justice freely poured forth
on all. Remember God's compassion, great compassion to everyone. And

(34:25):
when we become conscious of the supremacy of God's law,
the law of Spirit, the law of truth, then our
experience is transformed for the better, and it blesses others
as well. Each one of us is inseparable from Christ,

(34:51):
because each one of us are of God. God is
the only creator, and each are a child of God.
So we are made to hear the voice of truth,
the voice of love Christ. If you find what you're

(35:14):
hearing now useful, you can turn oh you can hear
helpful encouraging programs by phone dial three three, two two
five five, six, seven, eight nine to hear Bible lessons
sent in a watch or a Spanish program El Heraldo.

(35:39):
These weekly programs offer practical healing spiritual ideas dial three three, two, two, five, five, six, seven,
eight nine. Christian science brings an understanding of what is

(36:00):
true of God, what is true of life, and what
is true of our relationship to God. It brings us
an understanding of how Jesus healed. And with this understanding,
we can more confidently challenge the physical evidence before us,

(36:26):
that physical evidence that suggests that distress, this could in harmony,
rules our life. But with understanding of what is true,
of what is real, then we're not so easily convinced
of these false suggestions. I'll give you an example. Think

(36:52):
about parallel lines. Now, we know that parallel lines always
remain the same distance apart. They never come together together,
they never converge. So when we look up at a
set of train tracks, which are parallel lines at a

(37:14):
certain distance, those lines appear to converge, but we don't
believe that they do because we understand that they don't.
And it's the same with prayer. When our prayer is
based on understanding what is true, what is real, what

(37:37):
is of God? Then we are not so easily convinced
of that false suggestion of discord, of distress, whatever is
not of God. For people just tuning in, I'm at
Winner Auban and I'm talking with you about how spirit

(38:00):
laws help us to find harmony in all areas of life.
Mary Baker Eddie discovered the science of Christianity, the science
that underpinned the works and teachings of Christ Jesus, the

(38:22):
law of spirit that he proved so decisively. She uses
the term metaphysics to explain that life, that the universe
is entirely spiritual because God is spirit and God is

(38:46):
the only creator, the one cause, the one effect. And
so if God is spirit, then God can only create
that which is spiritual. Divine metaphysics urges us to go
beyond the physical evidence, the physical testimony. It teaches us

(39:10):
that the objects that we see are spiritual and not
the solid physicality that they appear to be, and the
Christian Science textbook provides us with this understanding. It's the
complete and full explanation of this divine metaphysics, as its

(39:37):
title suggests, science and health with key to the Scriptures.
It's the key to spiritually understanding the Bible. Eddie commenced
writing this textbook in her fifties, and that was remarkable
for a woman in her era, and she published it

(40:00):
first published it in eighteen seventy five. She spent the
next thirty five years revising this text, not changing her
original discovery, but revising the explanations to make them as

(40:20):
clear as they could be. It's not easy to understand
radical ideas, but she persisted in revising so that these
ideas would be readily understood by anyone who was honest
and openly seeking to understand them. In those early early

(40:45):
years of her publishing the textbook, she had very limited
financial means, and printing was very expensive, and it was
also highly inaccurate. She would pay for a print run
only to find substantial errors in what she had given

(41:08):
to them. She would then have to laboriously handwright corrections
and pay for another print run. Now why did she
persist with this.

Speaker 3 (41:24):
Work?

Speaker 2 (41:26):
Well, her sole motive was to bring relief to humanity
on her discovery of this science, of this science of Christ,
the science of Christianity. She had suffered from an accident
and was in severe pain and discomfort and unable to move,

(41:51):
and yet on this discovery, in reading one of the
gospel accounts of Jesus' healings, she was completely restored from
that accident. And she also reports that she was in
better health than she had been for years. She had
suffered for most of her life with ill health, sometimes

(42:16):
chronic ill health, and yet on this discovery she had
found complete freedom. She has found herself in better health
than she had been. She herself was a remarkable healer.
She proved this divine metaphysics to be effective and reliable.

(42:39):
And in the last chapter of the Christian Science text book,
there's a chapter titled footage, and in that chapter there
are examples, many examples of individuals who found complete healing
just by reading the text book to day. For over

(43:02):
a hundred years, the Christian Science Weekly and Monthly magazines,
the periodicals that are being produced for all these years,
each one of them contains verified testimonies of healing. So
this provides evidence of the efficacy of prayer. With this

(43:28):
understanding of God and our relationship to God, it proves
that prayer is not just some random occurrence, but it
can be effectively and reliably proved. In prayer we do
need to be alert to what would tip the scales

(43:52):
of our thought away from the sight of God. In
the Book of Romans and the Bible, we're told that
the mind set on the flesh, you know, the mind
that's set on the side of physicality is hostile to God.
It doesn't submit to God's laws. And if you think

(44:15):
about the scale analogy, you know, if your thought is
firmly rested on the side of physical well, it will
take away from the side of spirit God. That's why
it doesn't submit to God's laws. So in prayer we
do need to be willing to let go of the
material beliefs and rest on the divine metaphysics on the

(44:41):
side of spirit God. I'm going to give one final
example of how prayer brought me healing, and with this
particular example, I needed great persistence in order to peel
away those false influences that I had accepted as true

(45:06):
and real about me. I had lost the hearing in
one ear. I immediately started to pray about it to
know that there could be no blockage to God's government
of life. But after some months there had been no

(45:27):
change to the situation. I still couldn't hear in fact,
I had to turn my head. If somebody was on
the side where that blockage occurred, I couldn't hear it all.
So I had to turn my head in order to
hear with the other ear. This one particular day, I

(45:48):
was very, very disheartened. I was actually tempted to go
and seek medical treatment for this condition, and I was
perfectly entitled to do so. There was nothing stopping me
from going to seek that medical treatment. But because I

(46:09):
have relied on prayer for many decades and found it
to be effective, I stuck with it, and this particular day,
I decided to go out for a walk, a prayer walk.
What I did was I when I left the house,

(46:29):
I just determined not to give this problem anymore thought.
I just was turning my thought to God. I wasn't
trying to tell God what I needed, what needed to happen.
I just was actively listening, but actually listening for what

(46:50):
God had to say to me. Within a short time
of that walk, a thought came to me so clearly,
so firmly, I knew it was God speaking to me,
and the message was don't look for material evidence or

(47:11):
That really startled me because I realized I had been
basing my whole sense of well being on the fact
of material evidence, the fact that I couldn't hear, so
I wasn't in a place of well being. I didn't
have that sense of peace and calm and health, and
that really prompted me to more deeply study to spiritualize

(47:35):
my understanding of life. On two occasions after that, my
hearing was restored, but it only lasted for a few weeks.
On one occasion, that hearing was restored through the prayers
of a Christian science practitioner, and that's someone who devotes

(47:58):
their time to praying for another to understand the spiritual
laws of God. On the other occasion, it was to
my own prayers. Even though the problem returned, I still
persisted in prayer. And what came to me after that

(48:22):
continued prayer was that on those two occasions I had
been expecting some discharge to occur from my ear before
I accepted that that hearing was permanently restored. So in fact,
I came to recognize that I had doubted the permanency

(48:48):
of the hearing because and the reason for this was
I came to see was that prior to coming into
the study and practice of Christian soide lines. I had
had a similar problem and had sought medical treatment, and
something had to be discharged from my ear in order

(49:09):
for me to be able to hear. And so I
saw how that belief of needing something to be discharged
was holding me back from accepting the hearing the healing.
With seeing that mistake in my thinking, I just found

(49:33):
this complete sense of peace. I was no longer bothered
by the loss of hearing. I went on holidays and
there were two occasions on that holidays that really raised
my awareness that life was entirely spiritual. And as I

(49:55):
was coming home, sitting on a ferry with all the
noise is going on around me, I suddenly realized that
I could hear clearly what was being said on the
side where I had not been able to hear for
almost a year. At that moment, I did not doubt

(50:21):
the permanence of that healing, and now some years later
I haven't had a return of that problem. I'll wrap
up now with a few key points in prayer. We
can find peace, we can find health, We can find
harmony when those false influences, when those false beliefs have

(50:46):
been removed from our thought. In the Bible and Second Corinthians,
we're told to bring every thought into obedience with cry,
in other words, to bring our thought into the truth
of God's creation, of God's governance, that life is spiritual

(51:12):
and harmonious. The Christian Science textbook tells us to hold
to what is good and true, and then we will
experience that Christian science is practical. We can prove it.
It can be demonstrated today. It is the law of God,

(51:37):
the law of spirit that Jesus proved. Jesus said that
those who believe on him will be able to do
the works that he did. Each one of us have
the ability to hear the voice of truth Christ and
uplift our thoughts, to become aware, conscious of God's loving

(52:03):
presence and care, and to wipe out those false influences.
And when this shift occurs, then we experience God's lure
of harmony. Thank you for tuning into this program. It's
been a joy to speak with you today.
