(00:24):
mind. We get sick, canshop it up. But today we got
time Illo, big boy. Yo, it's your girl Courtneo. And it's
the big dog Matt Sanders. Andwe are here on a very very special
(00:45):
special extra special sauce like Max Sauce. A lot of it dripped on that
Big Max. We are here withthe extra special guests, here on another
episode of Sporreadic thoughts, thoughts stop. We got today, mister dicaso yours.
So I'm a artist who's out heredoing big things. Man, you
know what I ain't We ain't gonnaeven say local excuse my French, the
(01:10):
class. So your artists, yefess peace. You know I'm an artist
myself and I'm sister of my ship. Why you no doubt? For sure?
Showing love the day? How youfeeling in my brothers? I'm good
man, I'm good, highly blessed, you know, highly favored you know,
enjoying the day, you know, one step out of time taking it
(01:32):
that's all you know. So Ifeel good. I'm good. It's all
good. We all got on ourflam needing more like you know what I
mean, you get the memo nowwe all so that lets you know,
like mind is thinking, like nowwe're in here getting ready to chop it
up and let you tell us aboutwhat you got going on. Go ahead,
(01:53):
introduce yourself and put us on.You know, my name is Dorian
Bradford, but my alias is Decassofrom Lima, Ohio. Been doing music,
been doing music at since fourteen. And when I say, I've been
(02:13):
around everywhere locally Aliment, Ohio, recording with every single person you could think
of. Okay, uh, there'snot probably one person in the city that
can say they never worked with memusically. Okay, didn't I'll feel you
So go ahead, go ahead. Now, I was gonna say, how
would you describe your your music style? Like? What genre? Like?
What we got going on? SoI've been doing it for so long that
(02:38):
the set the genre styles have switchedup periodically. So in the beginning,
I was a backpack rapper, likeI was very influenced by Drake, Kanye
Loupe. You know what I'm saying. So I shout out to Sunny.
But when I first stought, Iwas gonnassuming with Ali and Chris and uh
everywhere was a journal in the backpack. You know what I'm saying. I'm
(02:58):
back and I was memorizing every verseyou could think of, you know,
off the dome Jason have me wrapfor his sons and stuff. Then getting
older, I changed because back tothe now's kid Growl. What was that
name again? Yeah? Kid Growl? Yeah growl? Okay, double D
Capitol g'a time yeah yeah, okay, stop all right? So I look,
(03:23):
so I went to college and Ihad to grow up. I couldn't
be a kid growl. You knowwhat I'm saying, just ground No,
I changed it to the Cosso.I needed something that was more artistic,
that shaped the form of writing thanI did. Okay, and obviously the
Cosso Picasso. And when it comesto my music, it's more strength of
(03:46):
I tell everybody, is you listento my music, you learn eighty five
percent about me in my life, you know what I'm saying. So hard
so painting a picture something that Iwas going for so Picasso Dicasso just went
Casso for short. Yeah. SoI did music fourteen, went through school,
graduated from Shawnee, went to collegefor a year. How State a
(04:09):
Lima Rose lived that Long Meadow Andthat's really when my music was like okay,
well you need to take it seriously. You know, being around all
these college kids, you know, back then even still music is like number
one for them definitely, And toknow that they had an artist on campus
that wasn't trash, you know,it was pretty dumb. I don't know
if I was trashed back then andon that track now, maybe back then,
(04:31):
but there was. So I metmy engineer, who's my best friend.
Now we're working ten years strong. It's crazy. Who's that Ash Matthews.
You know what I'm saying, Dope, shout out to Ashman. That's
my best friend. And it's funnybecause when I started taking music seriously,
(04:54):
he was working, you know,on his engineering seriously. So we kind
of just meshed one like he's likeI need somebody engineer, and you're a
dope, so let's do it.Yeah. Yeah, So Matt ash freshman
year of college. He was graduatingfrom Butler at the time. Okay,
So anytime he was in and outof the city, yea, he was
(05:15):
coming scooping me would be at hismom and dad's just camping out, man
pushing, pumping out music, youknow. And uh, he moved a
dating. I grew up running intoYeah he moved a dating. Yeah yeah,
yeah, he grew up. Wegrew up. And now I would
say when we got the crew linkedup, I always like to say I
(05:39):
was signed to my best friend becauseit really is something that we both were
like. But let's just start. It's called smart Boy. And if you
know, as she's called Grand Wizard, we call him a wizard. He's
very smart, he's very clean. He's a grand wizard, but not in
the like Wow, I thought aboutit when I said it was right,
(06:01):
kid, Nah, he's just awizard. So and man, he he
made he made he was he madeit. What it is, smart boy,
what it is? If you know, then you know. But uh,
it was our plan. It washis goal is always my plan to
give access to my city when Iwas ready and when Ash was ready to
(06:29):
give them something that nobody else herewas giving. When it comes to not
only engineering producing artists, when itcomes to talent, and who we have
on the team me see Money thetop unless you know he's literally the top
thirty in Ohio unless right now youknow, being that way for years.
Cg's on the team. We gottwo dope producers uh D Swolve Investa and
(06:56):
zachar leone on in Indianapolis, andwe build a team right from everywhere because
our goal is to bring everybody fromthe Midwest together, no matter if it's
under Smart Boy, no matter underanybody, just tap in. So is
it more like because I know youdope at June Tea, Yeah, right,
definitely dope provide ye and I hada feel like R and B.
(07:19):
Yeah, you know. Yeah.So what happened was I forgot what we
were talking about. So what happthat was with the music? Yeah,
I transferred. So it hit meone day. Shemon't even she an't even
talking about this for the probably thisalbum is releasing them fris like two years
what's the name of the album,Suburban King Part two, College Eviction and
(07:41):
two years of my life of awhole bunch of stuff going on, you
know. And they say problematic timesmake for the best artists. It's like
Bird's purpose. Yeah, So Itook my time, but also sat on
it for a year two because itwasn't the time of my life to be
like, y'all can get this, because with this album, it might be
cart when you're on the front, but when you dive into it and you
(08:03):
listen and you're like wow, likeokay, you know what I'm saying.
So anyway, I stopped backpack rappingright and then like I grew up,
I'm around people. I started beingaround and See Money all these artists that
are like crazy, right, Ithrow the journal away. No more writing
for me. I'm not writing anymorebecause See Money is on a song called
(08:24):
running Music Videos out and everything's beenout for a while and it's the first
time I've ever met him. Utout to him. I walked into the
studio Money, I've been doing thisfor years, so exactly, I thought.
So I go into the studio rightand see Money he's putting laying on
the verse for me, and I'mhis All his homies are around, and
(08:46):
I'm just looking at on the studiolike you got a journal or nothing?
How long he's been in the boothbecause he's about to get out, Like
the verses, the sixteen's done andall. He's just like, you don't
write and it only took him tenminutes. Well, right there, I
was like, I'm not writing anymorebecause I'm here to be industry ready.
And if there is any part ofmy artistry that doesn't make me industry ready,
(09:09):
I can't be in a in astudio with Drake, and Drake goes
Yo, you're dope. I needa verse from you and put out my
notebook and write for two hours toan hour. That's not happening. You
know, time is money. Well, look, let's positive right there,
because I think that's a very goodtopic to speak on. First off,
how long would it take you tolike to put I guess we'll say sixteen
(09:31):
together. Do you feel like onthe spot six sixteen together without riding?
That's without riding sixteen? And whoever'swatching six I can do at eight and
probably fifteen minutes. I can doa sixteen with no riding, probably in
twenty one right now. We don'tplug me that. But yeah, man,
(09:58):
and I'm saying this because it's notfor everybody. I've had talks with
with Tim Patrick shout to him, with Jay with a whole bunch of artists
from here, he's watched me doit. Shout out to Tony Tony Anthony
shoots, He's watched me do it. And then they'd be like, do
I need to know stick within inrealms? You know what I'm saying,
(10:20):
like, like, please understand thatthe only reason I did that is because
for me, riding was getting toa point where I wanted to gross in
a different area inspiration exactly. Andhe was like yeah, and so yeah,
ever since then, I put downthe pen and I just go in
and I don't. It's not afreestyle thing. It's a plug in,
(10:41):
plug out. So I had achance to witness that before I see I
always thoughted was like, I'm like, damn, I saw sixteen. But
it's like a bar bar style.Yeah that sounds like yeah exactly. So
I was like, but does thatmake it hard to remember one hundred were
saying one million Prazilian because I'm becauseit's in the moment, man like,
(11:07):
and let me just keep going becauseI'll get to that though. So it
looks so I found myself rapping, and I found myself not writing right of
It took a lot of the poeticstance that I had for writing because I
started with poetry and my dad foundmy up and goes like, you need
to do music. So it tooka lot of the poetic vibe out of
(11:28):
my rapping and kind of made memore like it's easier to talk about stuff
that I've never done before. SoI start hearing my music and started rapping.
I'm hearing when I'm rapping, andI'm like, damn, dude,
you're not that tough. Yeah, you know, you're not. You're not
You're not that you know, likeyou went to a lot of the city
till like fifth grade and you wentto you know seven, Come on,
(11:48):
bro, like you're around them, you ain't never put it, yeah,
so your own. Yeah. Soafter that, I was like, ain't
nobody to R and B in thecity other than and Tagrick and a couple
of other people shout out. SoI I was like, it ain't nobody
ever just off the head, youknow what I mean, Ain't nobody I
(12:11):
ain't seen know R and BR justgo in and record a whole record without
writing nothing down and becomes something. And see money was on me about it.
Ash was on me. Everybody's onme, like stop rapping, bro,
stop sing? So are you doinglike a mix like I did?
At first, I called me alittle rod uh So I was like,
(12:33):
I mean the album was probably liketwo songs that make make you feel like
road wavers because I didn't want togive you guys straight up R and B
me. Yet that's the next that'sthe next project that I have almost done,
not some of it, some ofit. They tighten it up a
(12:54):
little bit, a little bit.You gotta follow me on Snapchat because I'll
be I'll be in the bear andthe revers crazy, just be. Just
let me test us. Then Ijust get it. Do you enjoy?
But so I stopped doing it.I stopped rapping. I like, right
(13:18):
now, if anybody asked me todo a first rap, I'm charging probably
like a hundred because I'm you heardit. I'm done. And if you
really want me to rap, yougot to pay me for it. But
if you want me for the artiststhat I am, I got you,
you know. And we sat downand that's when the song that I told
you was my favorite song I everdid was one in a trillion, what
in the trillion? It was myfirst ballot and it was when we're done
(13:43):
it was one of those records out. We're just like, yeah, just
stopped rapping. You did that Ballotbro We thought you'd go sing that like
you did, and you know, and I'm like no, but like I
really want to sing, like Iwant to really train my voice to I
(14:03):
don't what that's a million harmonies inthe R and B. It's not nineteen.
But I'm trying to. I'm justtrying to switch it up. You
have to. I find it difficult, like to even grass, like because
he started off wrapping. Ain't thatwrong with switching up, but you just
(14:24):
don't want to wrap at all.The more, I don't want to wrap
at all because I'm more in myselfwhen I sing, And you know what
it be like, it's like thatbecause you know I started off rap.
I did assume me everybody around here. Yeah, And it gets to a
point where you you start to geta little bit older and then right,
(14:45):
yeah, right, so you haveto change, you have to. And
you find out through that one artistYou're like, well, wait a minute,
I can do this, Like Isound better doing this like with me
with spoken word. Spoken word hastaken me well yeah, yeah, you
know what I mean exactly too.Yeah. It's like when you find your
(15:05):
purpose. It's like, okay, that's yeah, you got put me on
a you know, yeah, Igot you. You know I heard the
up to score song, you knowall that, you know, just put
on that. Yeah yeah, foreverto put that down too. Yeah.
Yeah, but that's what I loveit because shouting you out up to scores
art, you know what I mean? And that's writing. Because of my
(15:28):
first album. In my phone,I have script and I wrote it in
script for him because my first albummy mom and dad's acting. I got
a fake Morgan Freeman in there acting. Yeah, Like the first album was
was something that was easy to writebecause it's my life. So me we're
putting it down on script was supereasy. Literally, my mom and DA
(15:48):
said, but I wanted to createexactly what you did was a movie.
But how do you make a moviealbum? For him? And I did
the first one that kind of remindme like Dave Polish through Yeah, how
albums are stories. Yeah. Sowhen you when Justin because I had to
cheat up. When Justin show methe record for the album, I was
(16:12):
like, he did exactly what whatI expected him to do when it comes
to the art. He messed thetwo and he made a record from what
he written down, which was ascript, but it's the longest verse you
probably ever made in your life sofar. And hearing you do that was
definitely something I was like, therewe go, that's it right there,
(16:33):
because that was my first time.Toyet's House was this was the track Toyet's
House, you know? Yeah?Man, Yeah, because, like I
said, my first album, Sowe king the first one. Like I
said, it's a whole movie.I wanted to be. You close your
eyes and you just you just seeeverything that I went through, you know,
(16:53):
and uh it brew up. Man. I had a billboard by B
Dubs and uh, I kind ofwent crazy with promotion, you know.
I had big I had big YouTubershout it out Blue and Zeas and all
them. So it was it wasincredible. So it was very nerve wracking
for me to make a part two. And that's why I took two and
(17:15):
a half. How do I Talk? How Do I Talk? The album
that I dreamed about doing for allof my life? Yet another album?
Yeah, and and thank God forthe trials and tribulations that made me,
you know, be able to doit again. And I think this one's
(17:36):
better than the first one. AndI don't have Morgan Freeman on it,
you know, honestly, you know, And it's because I give so much.
I learned that without writing, Ihave to just be honest with myself
and I have to be it hasto be very How do I say this
without sounding too weird, It hasto be I have to be vulnerable,
(17:56):
more vulnerable, you know, becauseyou're not gonna understand me if I don't
give you things to understand. Yeah. So with this album, it's it's
like cool the cartoon. I justreleased the album art to today. The
album it's cool, but you lookdeep into it. You know, there's
a white angels, my best friendBrendan, who died in college. My
(18:18):
nana. She had got dementia andshe passed away, and she's had it
all over me. She passed away. You know. My angels are those
other people looking down on me andflying with me. I think about them
every day, you know, meblasting off out of something simple as Long
Mido. I haven't been in collegein ten years, but the transition of
Long Meadow was such an impact inmy life because I dropped out after six
(18:38):
months. I had my little cousinof Carlia passed away when I was in
college. Why you know, mymom thought she had cancer while I was
in college. And at this timeI got kicked out. I was homeless
in college. I go out inmy car. So it's more than just
a cartoon. Yeah, so itwas. It's not like, oh he
keeps reminiscent about college. No,has made me who I am today as
(19:02):
a person because for some reason,God made that time the worst time in
my life. Yeah, you knowwhat I mean, that was the test.
Yeah, and so me the littlepandel blasting me with the pandel helmet,
blasting out of that place and beingable to be around surrounded by the
two people. Yeah, you know. And you know what, honest is
a lot when things like that happen, like you said, it shapes who
(19:26):
you are. Yeah, it actuallygives you content. Yeah you know what
I mean. Not it's your story. Yeah, And a lot of times
people don't tell their stories. Soyou're doing storytelling and singing, yes,
you know, and like you tellyour your story and truth low soul,
and you know I tell my storyand poetry how I right, like brought
(19:47):
off emotion and what you've been throughin Yeah, people see that, yes,
they do for real and feel it. Yeah yeah. What would you
say was some of your inspirations youknow in the rap game are the singing
game? You see music? Definitely, I want to know inspiration as in
people, as in people or experiencepeople. I have to be honest and
(20:10):
say that. My father, misterCedric Uh, he was the first person
in my life to ever introduce meto good music break like what so look,
so my dad went through when mydad transitioned in music, and I
(20:30):
was I was very blessed to seehim go through it. Right. I
grew up in a church, myGrandma's and mother my Olivet Church and that's
my grandma English church in christ ChurchChurch. So I played Baby Jesus as
an infant at church. Yes,okay, So I grew up in the
church with the Cornerstone Harvest for avery long time. So church music was
(20:53):
everything for me. And the firstalbum is first song on There Sunday Morning,
and I referenced man Mary shackles offmy feet like so when it came
to church, it was Kirk Franklin. It was the obvious ones, you
know, Fred Hammond by Nana mademe listen to Donnie mcclerk and millions of
times. Yolanda Adams, you know, women didn't Landa just have a video
(21:18):
going viral. I got a littleup making the stallion. Really, I
would have thought Mary Mary was onthat time, was thanking oh Lan.
Yolanda Adams shot off to Landa. So yeah, so it's very churchy,
(21:45):
right, So then let's go tothe Saturday morning wake up. Okay,
So you know, then we gotIndia I re you know, then we
got Carl Thomas music, Soul Child, you know, Tank Tyrese. Then
that's when we kind get more likeI love waking up, I hate cleaning
up my room, but I'll listento brown Skin a million times now and
(22:07):
just think of my mom. Youknow. So my dad plays a guitar.
He's very into the theater scene whenhe was young in Saint Louis,
so he kind of introduced me tothat. So then so then he kind
of he grew with dreads forever andnow he playing semi peril foot while.
So now I'm in the car andI'm listening to any Damien Marley that you
(22:30):
can listen to Bob Marley, youknow, and NAS a lot of n
a lot of ns because Damian Marleyand NAS have a joint album that's just
fired to. I don't think alot of people know that. Welcome to
John rock Man. Yeah. SoI stared at my dad listen to album
a million times. And after thatI kind of learned about NAS more because
(22:52):
it kind of made me want tobe like, who is this dude?
He's saying a lot of pyramids, you know, king Yeah, and then
then I want to listen to DamianMarley Moore because his sound was so gritty
and and you know, jimmaking SoI was like, damn, the son
of Bob Marley. How many kids? You got? A lot? A
(23:14):
lot? Yeah. So okay,so your father definitely inspired you. Yeah,
you know that was the push, that was the the gym dropped down.
Yeah. Give mean like one ortwo people that's in the industry now
that you know, Uh, Mikeguide you through some things. Yeah,
who who who are you listening toright now? And yeah, what'sn't your
plate there? Yeah? What's yourplated? I am huge saying of Drake
(23:38):
Okay, okay, I had iton me. Drake was the first rapper
that I listened to, and Iwas like, I kind of want to
embody everything that he's going. Yeah, he came from a suburban background like
me, right, and we didn'treally have a voice in the in the
hip hop community like that. SoI was like, well, he's saying
I can kind of vibe with becauseI exactly how I feel. I'm I'm
(24:00):
a virgo, I'm emotional, andI don't know my plays all like that.
So Drake and uh, that's rapside R and B side would probably
be I'd be lying if I didn'tsay Michael Jackson Pop. I'd be lying
if I didn't even say all right, Kelly, but great, let's go
(24:22):
in further. I don't have tosay Tank, really, I have to
say Tank. My my, mycousin did some work with Tanking in LA
and I've got to pass out roseson the stage with Tank before and day
and we needed a show in collegeand I met him and he was cool.
Man, he was very cool. He's very warming. DJ no,
(24:47):
oh dude, take a short,Yeah, no, for real, be
short. We linked up hit myis his best friends his DJ D marked
the spot and so I got tohang out. DJ marked the spot and
Tank the whole show. And afterthat I figured out Tank was the one
(25:10):
who found Chris Brown. You know, yeah, so not not too many
people can say that they found asuperstar. So yeah, Tank, Tank
is definitely my the one that Ilistened to him like him and Carl Thomas
music. So Lorl Thomas, Ilove all of him. That's what I
grew up on. That love thatquestion, well not even at me drop
(25:34):
a jewel. So you know, the song love was originally supposed to be
God. The label made him changeit. Really, I can listen to
it. Everything is God. OhLord, excuse me, Lord, really
be Lord. I did not knowthat when you go back and listen to
it now, you're gonna be like, no, I mean I'm gonna sing
(25:55):
it the Lord way too. Yeah, yeah, that's crazy. I never
knew that. Ye shout out tomy wife because she did her little research
on neck. We had argument onedid right. I'm gonna put you in
a spot right now. I don'ttop five that our life that are alive.
Number one, Biggie, number two, Michael Jackson, Yeah, number
(26:19):
three, oh Drake, okay, number four, number four O let me
not be too out like just littleWayne dude, I'm sorry, I fifteen,
I have to I don't. Hegave us so much party, don't
(26:42):
even do nothing. I'm just sayingand don't. Yeah, and then number
five that are alive. That's crazyman, Fred Hammond, Fred Hammon.
When I closed my eyes and I'mback seat with my mom and dad's car
going to church, Fred Hammond, that's why. Ale. Yeah, I
like that. You oh you Yeah, that's yeah. So are you performing
(27:17):
in where anytime soon? Yeah?So September thirtieth, I'll be in Day
in Ohio. I'm not sure ifthe menu asked if you're watching in the
menu, but yeah, I'll bein Dane, Ohio with my homie d
Night. He's an artist out ofdating doing big things. He's part of
(27:38):
Higher Learning with Emai and Jone anduh so yeah, he's releasing an album
and uh he's having an album listeningparty and performances and invited me to come
performing, you know, chill. And then October I would say, fifteenth,
I have another performance in Day andat the same venue. Actually,
okay, we're two Tread and twoBlunt, just opening for some homies that
(28:06):
rock with the label. Okay, you know, just blessing you know.
I like to always say, manafter album drops, it's like I'm about
to be so many performances. It'slike anybody reads that reads that vibe.
So, so can we catch youat now? Like? What platforms can
we catch you on? Oh?You can catch me everywhere. I'm Spotify,
Apple, Jeezer, you name it, title, Google, whatever you
(28:27):
got. Ok, I suggest youstream more than YouTube it. But what
you gotta do as long as yourlist you know this type thing, you
know, That's all I ask,That's all I want. You know.
I got an artist that a managingnamed Sharnay the Boys. Oh of course
I know her. Yeah. Ithink y'all be dope on the track together.
(28:48):

about her before I even knew shewas gonna be on the movie. Yeah
she's out of dating. Yeah yeahyeah. Don who owns raced By,
Where Me and Where I Record outOf has spoken of her millions of times.
Yeah. Yeah, I would loveto see that collab for sure.

after that, we're just clicking allnight. Okay, and if she's there,
if you pull up, it mustwork. You know. It's it's
(29:32):
open invitation to any artists I haven'tworked with to come in and bring in
my birth thirty thirty correctly thirty, making some art man, you know,
that's what. That's all I'm about. Vibe and good vibes. Definitely say
that part again. Good vibes,Yeah, I'm real good vibes. How
we do a sporadic thoughts. Wehave good vibes up in here, and
(29:53):
