I went to not one, buttwo concerts last night. So there was
Teddy Swims. This guy he iskind of a like soulful. I don't
know. I don't know what genreI could say he is, like he

But his music is like very bluesy. He just wrote an album that came
out last week called I've Tried EverythingBut Therapy, and I was like,

he has the most amazing voice,Like it reminds me of do you know
who Johnny Lang is? Okay,So Johnny Lange was was still alive.
I shouldn't say in past tense,but he was super popular in like the

I think he's from Saint Paul.And he was a like seventeen year

old kid with this incredible blues voice, like he sounded a lot like Stevie
Ray Vaughan. Teddy Swims reminds meof Johnny Lang, but he looks like
post Malone. Like it's really Yes, you would not expect this like burly
guy just covered in tattoo's head totoe. I mean he was and he

was captivating. So I went tothis like private show that another radio station
put on at a basement bar innorth and he memories there, yes,
and he just performed like five songsand they did a little Q and A.
It was just a short, likeforty five minute session. It was
incredible, Like it was so good. It was super intimate. It was

his voice is insane. How manypeople were there, probably forty or fifty?
Oh wow, Yeah, it wasreally small, so it was it
was amazing. So I did that, and you're seeing him again? Did
you say tonight? Tonight? Sohe's doing an actual show. He's starting
his tour today in Minnesota. Hewas supposed to play at first sav but

his show got too big, sohe got moved to the Palace Theater in
Saint Paul. So I'm crossing theriver tonight for this guy is Palace figure,
I think. So I've never beenthere. And I met his keyboardist
last night and he invited me backstage. So I'm going backstage before the show.
Oh my god, awesome. Yeah, I'm really I'm really excited.
It should be amazing. And I'veheard my friend Bridget has played a ton

of his music for me, butI don't know him like by heart,
by any means. But I'm like, this will just be an amazing show
to go to, so it'll besuper fun. Yeah. And then then
I went to I went to Uptown, which haven't been up to town in
a minute, last night for theJake Owen Show. Now, if you
guys remember a couple of weeks ago, Jake Owen and I had a moment

on the ky one or two boatcrews and I made a sign for him.
They would not they would not letme bring it in. I was
so mad. It was poster boardside. And but his show was so
good. He was I thought hewas fantastic on the boat when it was

I don't know if I've ever seena man glow the way that he
did. Like literally he lit up. It wasn't the lights, it was
he was just he has the mostbeautiful smile. Oh, he's so cute.

crush on him. He's so cute. And the concert was amazing except him,
Like Hayley did have to come outlast night. What So there was
maybe like thirty five minutes left inthe show and Bridget and I were like
third from the front. It wasGA on the floor and then up top.

The Uptown Theater is very cool.By the way, where is that
It just reopened. It's right acrossfrom McDonald's in Uptown, like where Cowboy
Jack's used to be. Oh wow, Yeah, So it was a movie
theater and now they've redone it andturn it into a concert venue and it's
really cool. It's very nice.The people who worked there were very nice.

There really weren't any lines or anything. It was great. So anyway,
we were like third from the fromthe stage, third row from the
stage in GA, I guess howyou say it. And these wasted girls
with like thirty minutes coming just likebarrel in from the back and like push

us forward. And everyone at theshow had been like great, everyone,
you're in GA. Obviously you knowa little bumping whatever, that's totally normal.
These girls Barylyn trying to come tothe front, and that laid in
the show, right. Bridget turnsaround and goes no, and the girls
just walk away. Well they probablytwenty two. I mean they were lights

were on, no one was home, not very gay, not very gen
z. No, it was notour gen z friends from country jam.
So then this group of like threeboys and two girls Baryln next to us
and like push Bridget into me.Oh, and we turn and look and

we're like what is happening? Andthey kept doing it, and they were
like they had their arms around eachother and they were like kind of moving.
It was like they were not mohing. I'm not saying that, but
they were like it was not normalconcert etiquette. Yeah, And I'm like,

guys, can you stop pushing intous? And they're like, we're
at a concert and I'm like Iknow that. I'm like, sir,
I've been to more concerts than thelast three months than you have probably in
your entire life. Like, pleasedon't tell me about concert etiquette. Right,
So they keep doing it, andthey and Bridget's smaller than I am,
like, she's shorter, she likeshe's easily getting bumped into and so

I'm like, Bridget switched spots withme because then it's like she's getting pushed
into people in front of her fromswitch and she's also wearing heels. I'm
wearing like boots, so I canyou know, I can box out a
little bit more, So I switchedspots with her. This guy keeps like
pressing into me, like in notstanding next to me, but like into

my personal space. And I'm like, seriously, can you please stop?
And he's like, he's like,you're at a concert, you should move.
And I'm like, oh my gosh, I wouldn't expect that that kind
of a show neither. No,these guys were bombed. They were total
jerks. So because I can't keepmy mouth shut, this guy was probably

like five six and because he goes, you're falling into me, and I
go just because I'm taller than youdoes not mean I'm falling into you,
and he looked at me and hewas like, so he moved to the
other side. Then his friend comesover and his friend is like literally elbowing
me and I was wearing your thatsparkly talk at you let me borrow,

and he was like, get yoursparkly ass. Away from me, and
I was literally just standing there andI look at him and I just go,
I hope your mother's proud of you. And he was like, the
right. I didn't swear to him. I didn't. I didn't say the
things that I was thinking. Ijust said, I hope your mother's proud
of you. And then some spotsopened up and we got closer to the

stage and they were, I mean, they were so wasted. I'm like,
how are you even enjoying this?Honestly, I've talked about this a
lot recently. I feel like I, I don't want to say ruined,
but some of the probably best concertsthat I have seen, when, especially
in my late teens to early twenties, I was always fucking wasted. And

it's like, I don't then youdon't really remember the show, you,
I mean, and it sucks whenyou think about it in reflection, because
you look forward to these events forso long and then just that was how
like it was before you know,we're pre gaming and everything, and then
you don't really enjoy it, no, and you do act like an asshole
sometimes like that, like oh no, and these guys were like probably twenty

four I mean they were just theythought they were yeah, amazing. Now
it's like, okay, if wewant to meet for a drink or something
before, it's then cool. Imean, obviously, I know we're getting
old. But and it sucks becausewhen you get in that level of intoxication,

get so distracted by people and thenI start like paying attention to their conversations

and just being pissed staff instead ofbeing in the moment, which sucks.

So, I mean, this morning, Bridge and I were talking about it
and we're like, I hope thatthey feel bad this morning, not like

a really bad thing over this morning. I hope they are really hungry,
hungover, and they don't remember theshow at all, because it was a

not want to be the team thatloses to get bumped out of the playoffs

a basketball town. We told them, so I was I was hoping you

it was nice for us to catchup and love him supporting the Links.

was really it was fun. Linksplayoff games are a fantastic atmosphere. I
seriously like actually Links games are justfun in general. The people who go

to Links games really care, Yeah, and I just I really enjoy it
and it's it's fun basketball to watch. And it's a totally different experience than
a Timberwolves game, where I dothink people just want to go to Timberwolves
games. Can you believe it's whata month till Timberwolves start? Yeah,

so it's just crazy to me thatwe're already back to that time of year.
But okay, well summer flew by, so yeah, there's that.
I don't know what we're going totransition to. I don't have anything going

going on. I my school semesteris a lot. It's just a lot
of intense, time consuming work forme, and I have to go to
go to my math tutor individually oneday a week, oh god, and
then I have my math class andthen the next day I go to group
tutoring. So even though it's likethree credit class and then all of my

homework and everything, that's been avery labor intensive class. So there's that.
And then I've been helping my landlord. If anyone's been following my Instagram,
the people if you listen to showyou remember my neighbors that looked upstairs,
if in my duplex, they finallymoved out after six years, and
it's just a mess upstairs, andnot necessarily their fault, because these units

have needed to be updated for along time. But it is pretty nasty
up there because they had three Theyhad two Pomeranians and a cat, so
you can imagine the pet hair andjust they I would always hear the vacuum
running up there. I don't knowwhat the fuck they were vacuuming. What,
what kind of condition did they look? Did they clean it? They

did, so I'm scared to knowwhat it looked like before. But I'm
not going I mean, I mean, the house is almost one hundred years
old, so it does get dustyeasily because there's not a lot of circulation.

It's absolutely disgusting. So I volunteeredto help her out since I'm already there,

So between that in school, Ijust feel like I've no idea what's going
on with anyone. Well, Ifeel I feel a little discombobulated from football
because like, first off, missingthe first Gopher home game, and then

a Vikings game, then we immediatelyimmediately play on the road in Philadelphia,
and we haven't had a thirst ona Thursday, and so now it's like
a ten day period between the weektwo in week three, and I just
am like, yeah, I justwant to get into routine. I feel

busy, like like I said,working upstairs. Obviously I don't have a
TV up there, and so Idon't really even know much of what went

on the field pregame going to thegame, and then I get an autograph

I don't, but the last personwho got honored at the home game or
the home opener got a Harrison Smithsigned football, so I was like,
okay, I love Harry, sosuch a That's just awesome. It's honestly
like when I got the email,I had to read it six times and

who I am. Like, thisis my past, you know, football
is my passion. This is justwhat we do. But to be able
to to be recognized for what Ihave done, and it's not like I've
worked for the foundation for a verylong time. It's only been you know

and honestly, it just made mewant to work harder and make me do
more. You've done a lot beforethe six months too, I mean before

I would be good at, andluckily enough, there's a job that allows

Okay, just kind of outgrew her, really loved her for a couple
of years, and then I wasjust kind of developed a disconnect with her,
and so I've needed to get backinto it. But I'm sure a
lot of people can relate to this. It gets really frustrating to find a
new therapist. I mean, I'msitting here trying to go through my insurance
looking at their website, seeing who'staking new clients. Okay, then you

go google them and see I thisis probably inappropriate, but because it's agist,
but I need to see about theage range of the person. For
me personally, I can't go tosomeone who's fresh out of school, no
offense to them, but I don'tthink I would. I think I would
feel kind of like, I don'tfeel like i'd be really comfortable talking to

somebody much like really young, Likeyeah, I can see that mid twenties
ish, and then I feel liketoo much older, meaning like fifty plus
doesn't work great for me either,because just because my life I do am
so into social media and that's kindof a job for me, and a
lot of people that are around thatage range just don't get that. Yeah.

And so that was how I kindof grew out of my last therapist,
was we were just you know,she would say things like we'll just
block, or we'll just don't dothat, just don't do that sponsorship or
just don't and it was like,Okay, that's not really how it works.
Yeah, and she wasn't very supportivein those type of things. So
I'm doing all of that. Ofcourse, then you call and no one,

those people aren't actually taking new clients. And so my doctor has been
pressuring not pressuring me, but tryingto get me to go to therapy for
a while and so I just callit him whatever, just put me with
the first available. So they did. This woman canceled on me twice.
What Yeah, the first appointment thatI had, she canceled on me.

And then of course I couldn't getback in for a month. Then I
get back on her schedule, shecancels on me again, and I'm just
like, this is so frustrating.What if I was in crisis right now?
I mean I'm not. I justneed to get back into it.
I'm like that just said a reallybad impression with me totally, especially if

(50:45):
you're going to cancel me the secondtime, and I get it, things
happen, then you need to workon getting me in a sap, not
you need to put me to theend of the line again. So that
was a bummer. So I movedto someone else, so this will be
my first time with her. Butdid she give you a reason as to
why she canceled. No, thefirst I mean her assistant called me,

so I didn't speak to her.The first time, it was just she
had to be off that day orsomething. And then the second time it
was, well, you can stillsee her virtually if you would be willing
to do a different time. AndI'm fine doing virtual down the road,
but the first time I meet someone, I don't want to do virtual.
Yeah, you have that like legsometimes and it's just I feel like more

awkward. I'd rather meet someone aperson and see if we have a good
vibe. So that wasn't cool withme either. And the time that she
wanted to move me to didn't work. Like I said, I physically crossed
the river to go to school threedays a week. Yeah, so it
takes a long time, but sofingers crossed me a good vibe with that.
But I wanted to mention since wedo talk about mental health on this

program and it's just so frustrating sometimesto get help when you need it.

But it's weird because it's like whenI first started therapy, I only looked
at it as like I have todo this because I was in crisis.
But I realize now that it's somethingI should be doing all the time,

and I haven't done it in likealmost two years. But I'm like,
well, I'm happy, but it'slike okay, but there's also stuff you
have to talk about, right,and it's easy to not for me,
especially that why it's taking me solong to get back into it is when
you're in a low place or somethingreally bad happens and you know you need
to work through it. Is whenyou first of all feel at your weakest

in doing like the research, LikeI just men, you don't feel like
you can. You just don't havethe strength to deal with the adversity that
happens when you go through all thisand you get dismissed, dismissed, you
finally find somebody in its weeks outand it's like, what's the point.
But then when you're feeling good,you just don't It doesn't cross your mind
exactly. So you have to bein the perfect headspace. Don't be like

I have enough I need to workthrough. But I'm and I have the
mental capacity to take this on right, to take the initiative and go through
it. So it's it is difficultto get back into it. But it
wasn't your last therapist. It wasvery didn't She specialized in like health trauma,

person who looked at me when Iwas kind of explaining my health background and
stuff like that, and she goes, you've been through a lot and I
was like, no, no,I'm like everybody deals with stuff, and
she's like, no, you havebeen through a lot. And it was
the first time I let myself realizethat because I've always been an I'm fine

person, like I don't want tocomplain because other people go through terrible things
too, Like, my stuff isnot any worse than anyone else's. And
that was the first time I actuallyaccepted, like, oh, maybe this
is more than a normal person takeson or has gone through. So it's

different when somebody who doesn't know youfrom a hole in the wall something like
that, because as much as youlove your friends and families, sometimes you
have to wonder, are they justsaying this to me because they either don't
know what to say or they feellike they have to say this right,
And so it would have somebody whoyou don't even know validate that for some

reason, it means a little bitmore. Sometimes it does because they're impartial.
That's their job to be impartial.So yeah, I was like,
oh that, And the honestly,that was kind of a turning point for
me to let myself. It didn'tmake me crumble and be like, oh
my god, I've been through somuch, like how can I go on?
It? Kind of it was honestlyempowering for me. It's like I

have gone through a lot and Ihave survived it all, so now I
got to move forward, Like howdo I take that and turn it into
