This is the 8th year the Providence Speaking Society (RI non profit and 501 c 3) is putting together a TEDxProvidence. TEDx is an independently organized TED like event - operated through a license from TED.
This event is and always has been fueled by volunteers - no one gets paid to produce TEDxProvidence. They are supported by ticket sales and a few generous financial supporters - such as the Rhode Island Foundation. They've been financially supportive every year - since the beginning.
