Now saying that he has a few regrets about the
Big twenty sixteen heist.
Speaker 5 (01:17):
He admitted that he's been part of many robberies in
the past, but this one really opened his eyes and
he saw how it impacted his family and all the
media coverage. It just made everything worse. And he blames
it on never having a male role model when he
was a kid.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
Maybe, but you've also done enough robberies and you held
a gun to a celebrity's head and put her in
a bathtub, and like.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Don't blame it. You can't call that he's being Excuse me.
Speaker 5 (01:46):
He's being super remorseful now that he's on trial. But
sure before, like you wrote a book about this, you
want to you were bragging about how you did this.
So if you recall they made him and his little
old man robber friends made out with about ten million
dollars in Kim Kardashian's jewelry after robbing her. There was
even like one necklace that they dropped on the way
(02:06):
out that was worth like twenty five thousand dollars.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
Almost they didn't even care they made it what they
made off with ten million dollars they can.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
Leave right, only imagine what they actually had in their
pockets when they left.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Crazy.
Speaker 4 (02:19):
It's it's so scary and violating, having your things taken
or having robbed. Yep, if you're out there and you

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Locally, there's breaking news that after years of effort to
relocate the Sacramento Zoo to Elk Grove, it's not gonna
happen so due to ricking costs. The Sacramento Zoological Society
said it no longer sees the relocation and proposed sixty
five acres stay of the Art facility in Elk Grove
as financially viable, and when they're gonna do it, I
(03:00):
don't know, but if they need to relocate, like a
sea otter or a giraffe, Like my house is wide open,
I'm putting bids in, I'm putting DIBs in it.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Where are you going to keep a giraffe?
Speaker 6 (03:10):
All right?
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Sea otters? Then where are you going to keep a
sea otter? Rathtub? Full on bathtub? Do we have pandas?

she got robbed. When you had your car stolen, Lazette, like,
was that the worst violation of your private Yes, I've never.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Had anything like that stolen from me before.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
If I haven't had little things like a CD case
and things like that, I've never had something of that
much value and something that like a necessity to me
taken from me.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
It's the worst feeling. I remember as a teenager, I
just started driving, so I had this humongous CD collection.
Someone stole my CD collection out of my car. I
was such a violation. Christine, What did they steal from you?
Speaker 7 (04:15):
They took my lemon tree?
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Someone took a lemon tree.
Speaker 6 (04:18):
Yeah, outside my house.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
It was in a pot growing, making beautiful yellow lemons,
and then one day it was gone.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Was it big?
Speaker 7 (04:26):
I mean it was like five feet tall in a pot.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Okay, so it was in a pot, but it wasn't
in the ground, right, it was not in the ground.
But it was still very much mine for sure. Oh no, no, yeah,
it was still yours. I'm not saying it wasn't yours.
They stole a lemon tree. Where was it?
Speaker 7 (04:41):
It's like on my friend's chest. I used to make lemponade.
Now what just water, just water, just water and sugar. No,
I'm crying.
Speaker 6 (04:52):
I'm sad.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
That's full show every afternoon, whatever you want.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
It's Strawberry and Lizette on Sacramento's New Kiss one seven point.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Nine Sacramento's New Kiss.
Speaker 5 (05:02):
When I was seven point nine strawberry and lesset in
the afternoon. So we were talking about Kim Kardashian's Paris
robbery back in twenty sixteen. We've fallen down a rabbit
hole of times that we've been robbed.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
Stephanie on the phone, you have a story for us too.
Speaker 7 (05:16):
So I worked at a restaurant where we got tipped
out at the end of the night. And what they
would do is they would give us money in like
a little tiny manilla bag thing, and they would staple
it shut and write how much money got on it.
And it was the pain of the ass taking the
money out of these envelopes. So I would just collect
them at home for a while until I thought I
had enough of boom, and then I would take him
(05:36):
to the bank. While I was talking to somebody about
that at work, about how annoying it is that they
put it in a stapled envelope, and I was like,
I got like fifty of those at home and I
got out in the bank. So somebody came to my
house while I was at work one day and smashed
a window in my back door, came in and all
they sole was my bucket at tips.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
And this is what they call an inside job, right.
Speaker 7 (05:58):
Yeah, for real, And I think they got my addressed
off with my check from at work. Yeah, we had
our address showing on the check, got them on. We're
both thrush to grab at the end of our ship.
You don't really think about that type of stuff when
you work at a restaurant. But I mean I learned
my lesson from that.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
I guess I would never tell anyone.
Speaker 5 (06:14):
I just had a stack of money sitting in my house,
like gas is there?
Speaker 7 (06:18):
Younger there?
Speaker 8 (06:18):
So you want to join the conversation, send Strawberry and
Lazette a talkback message while you stream the New Kiss.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Paris for ten million dollars of jewelry, but you had
your car stolen. Yes, I had my house broken into,
My CD collection was stolen. We had a listener call
in that heard lemon plant was taken off of.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Her lemon tree.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
Lemon tree. So we are all Kim Kardashian. Yeah, right,
This talkback message is very relatable.
Speaker 9 (06:52):
Hey, guys, I've been listening to everybody share their stories
about stuff they've had stolen from them, and I got
to share mine along. I guess with a little PSA.
I'm a videographer and I was doing some freelance work
down in Oakland and I should postograb some coffee to go,
and in a few minutes I was in the side
all four windows of my car were broken and all
my camera equipment was taken. So if you're in Oakland,
(07:15):
don't stop.
Speaker 5 (07:16):
Yeah, that's very unfortunate. Yeah, that you had all your
stuff stolen. However, I'm not surprised that it was in Oakland,
like you should. This is actually kind of your fault.
Speaker 3 (07:27):

here talking about I'll turn this plane around right now.

not going to screw with my Mexican vacation because you
need to hit the vakee pan once you come out
of that bathroom, everybody, and yeah, we're gonna dog pile you.
Speaker 5 (08:31):
All because one of the passengers could not vape for
a few hours just out here, ruining everyone's vacation.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
Now, luckily, I don't think the plane turned around.
Speaker 6 (08:39):
And everyone made it to their destination. But like we said,
who does that? Oh does that? I know they have
smoke detectors in the bathrooms. Do they have cameras?
Speaker 3 (08:49):

are smoke detectors. Yes, who does that to you?

kids will automatically receive an EBT card with one hundred
and twenty dollars on it in June and July, so
heads up locally. If your student is not automatically enrolled
in this program, you can apply by submitting a school
meal application to their campus or the administrator's office.
Speaker 5 (13:33):
That's really cool that this is even a thing, because unfortunately,
school is where some kids do get their meals. They're
only meals, they're only meals, and when school's out, it's
hard to eat.
