Speaker 3 (00:09):
Is Strawberry and Lazette with Hella headlines right now.

Speaker 4 (00:13):
Miley Cyrus was interviewing with Pamela Anderson of c our
Fashion Books New Issue when she opened up about her
sobriety and how gardening has helped her through it. Huh,
she said, because so much of her life is in
the public eye, gardening and getting in touch with nature
has been quote very personal and a quote grounding force

(00:35):
in her sobriety journey. Just kind of having a creative
outlet that isn't about fame or success or everything that
she's been doing, sure is what's really helped her.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
I didn't know she was gardening, gardening or struggling with sobriety.
All right, More power to Miley Cyrus.

Speaker 5 (00:51):
A headline to got Strawberry.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Well Locally this weekend is the last chance for a
shuttle ride to Lake Tahoes Emerald Bay. This sund it
was a pilot program designed to reduce traffic and promote
sustainable traffic to Tahoe, So Sunday is the last shuttle
ride of the summer. You could book a ride online
for twenty percent off with the code Local twenty. But

(01:14):
if somebody else can drive me to Tahoe, that's a win.
Like I'll be passing your princess, I'll read a book,
I'll be on TikTok.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
You can read in the car, Yeah, it doesn't make
you sick? No, what's wrong with you? You freak.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
I'm a grown up who can handle it.

Speaker 5 (01:30):
I'm also grown up. Move I, but I can't read
in the car. I can't read on the plane.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
On the plane either on the.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Plane, And I don't know why I thought like I
should be able to handle reading on the plane.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
It's not like it's moving the way a car moves.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Can you watch movies on the plane also? Or no? Yes?
Turn the captions on see what happens?

Speaker 4 (01:51):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yeah, no, it's a strawberry and lazette on Sacramento's New
Kiss one oh seven point nine.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Did you see that Fox ordered a reboot of Baywatch?

Speaker 5 (02:02):
No, so Baywatch is coming back? Fox ordered? Why are
you so excited about it?

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Because that was a fun time. That was a good
era I'm.

Speaker 5 (02:10):
Kind of over. Is this not like the third Baywatch
that's coming back?

Speaker 3 (02:13):
I mean, you're right, I'm not gonna watch it.

Speaker 5 (02:15):
But what did you rather something come back that you're
gonna watch?

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yeah? Yeah, but all the all the shows that I
used to love that did come back as reboots sucked,
like Saved by the Bell. That reboot sucked. Full House
when it became Fuller House. That reboots sucked. Fresh Prince
it was a different angle. It was like a dark
version of Fresh Prince.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
Don't you dare say that bel Air suck?

Speaker 3 (02:38):
I didn't get into it. How about that bel Air
is so good? Okay? You know what?

Speaker 4 (02:45):
I wish they would bring back And I know it's
not gonna happen, but I wish that somebody would call
isa Isa Ray uh huh and be like, we have
to bring back Insecure.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
I saw a couple episodes of that that was a
good show.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Insecure was so good, and I rewatched the seasons till
this day. It's like one of my comfort shows that
I can just put on the TV and like do
other things or sit down and watch it.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
It's such a good show. And she's said over.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
And over again that she's done with Insecure and she's
moving on and doing other things.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
But ah god, I wish it would come back.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
But if you were in chargez that you are not
letting bay Watch come back as a reboot, right you
say it's over. We don't want it.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
We don't want it, like we've done it already how
many times?

Speaker 3 (03:26):
And we had a movie, there was a bay Watch movie, right, Like.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Let's move on from Baywatch and bring back something that
people actually want to watch.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Never Miss admitted with Strawberry and Lazette on Kiss one
oh seven point nine.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Stream live every afternoon from three to seven on me
Always Free.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
iHeartRadio.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
At Baywatch being rebooted, I personally feel like Baywatch has
been around for so long and has come back so
many times.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
We don't need a bay Watch reboot.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
It's had its era already.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Right, Kiss one of seven point nine, Strawberry and Las said,
we are getting some talkback messages. Shows that people do
want to see comeback, shows that should get a reboots.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Because LOZ, that is very anti Baywatch reboot.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
I just don't care for it. So what are your shows?

Speaker 1 (04:11):
So?

Speaker 3 (04:11):
I know this is going to sound weird coming from
a forty something year old black guy.

Speaker 6 (04:16):
But I absolutely loveday Watch.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
That show needs to come by, one of my favorite
shows of all time.

Speaker 6 (04:23):
And I don't think there should be any.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Other reboots for the year unless it's they watch bold statement.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
I think he's lying and he's saying that to get
under my skin one hundred percent, because there's no way
that anyone's actually excited and looking forward to this Baywatch reboot.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Well, if you're keeping scored home, that's one vote from
a forty four year old black man for Baywatch.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
What else?

Speaker 6 (04:45):
I would absolutely love to watch a Sopranos reboot, like
I used to love that show and I think it
ended really well, but I would watch another series of it.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
I think that I had its era. Also, I never
watched that either. Oh blasphemy, Oh my god, what it's great.
One of the greatest shows in television that.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
Was in Secure, and you haven't watched that it is?

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Thank you for your talkback message. You want to join the.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Conversation, send Strawberry and Lisette a talkback message while you
stream the new Kiss. When I was seven point nine
on the always free iHeartRadio app, and who does that?

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Who does that?

Speaker 5 (05:23):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (05:23):
Fifty seven year old man in Japan was arrested for
stealing fire hose nozzles after police found fifty of them
in his possession.

Speaker 5 (05:34):
Sure, Strawberry, I know I used.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
To steal weird stuff. I used to steal, like street
science and stuff.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Yes, I did, and a parking meter once, uh huh,
and a fax machine, a couple of CD players, So
I'm sure you can relate Mercedes Benz emblems police.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
Actually, oh, it'd be so mad.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
I know. Police actually caught him trying to steal a nozzle,
like actively caught him, so that's how he got caught.

Speaker 5 (05:56):
He admitted to the charges.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
He was linked to eighty one nozzle them throughout the area,
causing about.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
Fifty five hundred dollars in damages.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
And no one knows why this man was going around
stealing these fire hose nozzles, like specifically, it's such a
weird thing to fixate on, right.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
And if he got caught with fifty of them in
his apartment, he's not selling them for scrap metal, like
he's just collecting them on his shelf.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
They were like they said that even if he did
sell them for scrap metal, would only be like two
hundred dollars like it wouldn't be a lot of money
or enough money to make stealing this many worth it,
so they can't figure out why he's stealing them.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Dangerous too, Holy cow?

Speaker 5 (06:34):
Who does that?

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Who does that?

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Kiss one oh seven point nine never miss admitted with

camp couple pretty well, if I do say so myself. Yes,
Astronomer company CEO and oh his name's Andy Byron or something,
and then HR executive christ and Cabo. First people said
they were having an affair and that both were married
and the viral clip effected.

Speaker 5 (08:32):
Their jobs and their family life at home.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Then it came out that Kristin had filed for divorce
a month after that. Okay, then it came out that oh,
they were already separated at the time of the incident.
Here's what a quote source close to Kristin is saying
now that her husband, who she was already separated from,
uh huh, was also at the concert on a date

(08:54):
of his own, kind of just showing to prove, like,
nobody was sneaking me behind no one's back. They were
already not living together, they were already separated. In fact,
he was on his own date at the concert.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Yeah, but we've all been in that situation when you're
at a bar or a restaurant or somewhere a club
and your ex walks in. You're like, oh, this is
so uncomfortable. We're in the same Can you imagine your
ex being on the jumbo tron at a comer bush.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
Also, they said that Kristen and Andy the CEO were
just friends at the time.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
They looked friendly.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
Hey, I went back and watched a video again. They're
swaying back and forth in each other's arms. They're holding hands,
their fingers are intertwined.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
That's not just friends, that's not a friendship move.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
No, Like, then, why did you panic and run away?

We call this what's good Now. There's a mystique about
the West Coast. People come to California, they think surf.
I want to learn how to surf. They're on the coast,
like here we go. Bill Lippincott spent last summer learning

(11:06):
how to surf in California. Might sound pretty common, for him,
it's a triumph. Bill is a sixty one year old
Navy veteran with the left leg amputation.

Speaker 5 (11:16):
So he learned how to surf with one leg.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Yes, that is amazing, absolutely is. He got the chance
to surf at the National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic. So
it's a program that will bring veterans from all over
the country and in the process of learning how to surf,
they're also learning skills that they may need to have
a more independent life back home. So Bill came to California,

(11:41):
went to the National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic, learned how
to surf. His goal was to ride his board in
on a wave. Fell a few times, it happens, he
stayed strong, finally got his balance, stood tall, learned how
to surf, and for Bill, he says, it's proof you
can do anything. You set your mind to hear all

(12:03):
right there.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
I've never tried surfing before. I can't imagine it's any harder,
any easier than wakeboarding, Okay.

Speaker 5 (12:16):
Which I couldn't do that either. Okay, I'm just not
very good the worst balance. So I'm like super impressed
by that.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
I want to join the conversation.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Send Strawberry and Lizette a talkback message while you stream
the New Kiss. When I was seven point nine on
the always free iHeartRadio app, do you remember.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Being in school and there was a student that like
got held back? No, you never had a kid like
in your class, and then you go to fourth grade
and he still does third grade year.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
Remember, I mean, I'm sure, but I probably didn't even notice,
Like I still saw them on the playground.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Yeah, I think I had like one or two kids
in my school that got held back, and there's this
weird stigma, you know, Oh they flunked out it they
have to repeat or whatever.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
Like, yeah, I hear they're not doing that anymore more
these days.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
Oh, is that right? Yeah? I saw this really cool
video on TikTok. Shout out to the teacher that did
this in the first grade.

Speaker 8 (13:08):
Our teacher was like, okay, everybody who wants to stay
behind with me put their hands up, and we all
put our hands up because everybody loved her. And she
picked one kid who got to stay behind with her
and the rest of us went to second grade, and
he stayed with her for another year. And it took
me until adulthood to look back and realize that that
kid had just been held back, and that was her

(13:28):
smooth way of making it seem like a win instead
of making him feel bad about it.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Do you see how easy that wants to remove the stigma.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
Yeah, because kids are dumb, they'll be like, oh, I
want to stay, I want to stay right, No, I pick.

Speaker 5 (13:42):
Matts, you get to stay.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Yes, that is really cool of her.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
But yeah, I hear they're not holding kids back anymore
because so many kids fell behind during COVID.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
Uh huh that they.

Speaker 5 (13:54):
Just were like, just everyone's passing.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
Let's it's so much work and we don't have like
the bandwidth to catch everyone up.

Speaker 5 (14:00):
Everyone's moving on.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
The fifth grade teacher's like, well that's the sixth grade
teacher's problem.

Speaker 1 (14:04):

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
