New thing on social media, how like gingers or black
people like? Yeah, So we got a dm and uh,
it said Strawberry, Happy red Velvet season. So I guess
that's another nickname for my people. They called us red
velvet velvet. Never heard of it, but I'll take it
and thank you for the red.

Speaker 5 (00:45):
What does that mean?

Speaker 4 (00:46):
I don't know, he said, happy red velvet season.

Speaker 6 (00:50):
This podcast, I can't keep up with the kids and

Speaker 6 (01:06):
Some awful news broke over the weekend that our former
President's Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form
of prostate cancer. Doctor has found a prostate nodule during
a checkup and further test confirmed that the cancer has
spread to his bones. However, they said that the cancer
is hormone sensitive, so treatments like hormone therapy could potentially

(01:30):
help it manage it effectively. He is currently reviewing treatment
options with his family and with his doctors. Who knows
if they're even going to share with us when he
decides to do.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
But that's currently what's happening.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Big news that broke this weekend.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
We headlines you got stroberty well locally.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
In better news, we have two not one, but two
separate Northern California residents who have each won five million
dollars from scratch ob tickets. Yeah, we love that everyone's winning.
Haven't seen anyone share their winnings with us. I don't
love that aspect, but let's shout them out. I mean
I wouldn't, but Ashley Eugene, she actually found her winning

(02:07):
ticket that was an originally Christmas gift while she was
doing laundry, so it was sold to the A one
mart in Sacramento. So put that on your you know,
mental list of places to buy lotto tickets.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
The A one mart In sack.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
The second winning ticket was purchased at A Gas and
Go in Georgetown out in Eldorado County.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
The winner hasn't been identified, but the store.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Is obviously going to receive their cut, which is like
twenty five thousand dollars. So two lucky locations A one
mart and Gas and Go in Georgia.

Speaker 6 (02:35):
He just reminded me that I have some some scratcher
tickets the trap that I need to turn in.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
I did remind you, so.

Speaker 6 (02:44):
It's not five million dollars, so you're not getting any
percent is like two bucks.

Strawberry and was set in the afternoon. So did you
hear that the FDA is planning to phase out synthetic
food dies by the end of next year.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
End of twenty twenty six, In and Out is one.

Speaker 6 (03:13):
Of the first major restaurant change chains to publicly announce
they are changing recipes and are also starting to phase
out synthetic food dies.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
Certain they have that was dying.

Speaker 6 (03:26):
They're changing the recipes for their strawberry shakes and their
signature pink lemonade, also the ketchup, so all.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
Those have dyes in it. I didn't know. Yeah, I
thought pink lemonade was just.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
I you know, I never thought about why it was pain,
why it was pink.

Speaker 6 (03:44):
I think I just you see the pictures of the lemon,
and the meat of the lemon is pink. Not that
I really thought about if there was pink lemons out there,
but I just never thought like, what flavor is the pink.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
Because when I'm in the drive through, I'll kind of
sit there for a second. I want, because I don't drink.

Speaker 6 (04:01):
Soda, do you want a regular lemonade or pink?

Speaker 4 (04:03):
And I go on which one? What am I feeling today?

Speaker 5 (04:06):
So is there no difference? They're both regular lemonade and
one has pink dye.

Speaker 6 (04:09):
Yeah, that's what it sounds like to me, I never
thought about that, Like you would just assume it was
maybe strawberries or something great, some fruit, yeah, to give
it its color. But that's interesting. I didn't know pink
lemonade was just lemonade with pink dye.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Full show every afternoon, whatever you want.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
It's strawberry and Lizette on Sacramento's New Kiss one oh
seven point nine.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Hey, what's going on, guys?

Speaker 3 (04:32):
What up? Wells? Listen to you guys talking about the
whole thing about the pink lemonade, the in and out
burgers and everything.

Speaker 6 (04:37):
Yeah, that they announced they are taking artificial coloring out
of their pink lemonades and strawberry shakes and things like that.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
I don't know if you guys know a little fun
fact over here that red velvey.

Speaker 6 (04:49):
Cake is actually chocolate chocolate cake with red dye.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
You know, I've heard that. I hear people say that
all the time. It's literally just chocolate cake but red.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
Yeah, you guys are both wrong.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
That's so that's not true.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
No, really, to make red velvet cake, it's a different
type of ca cow powder and the vinegar mixed with
it's like a buttermilk and a vinegar and that chocolate.
The chemical reaction turns it red. So red velvet cake
ingredients are different. It's an unprocessed cacao in a chocolate cake.
It's processed CaCO powder and different ingredients. Actual red velvet

(05:24):
cake gets that texture and the color from the ingredients.

Speaker 6 (05:27):
Huh, so you agree, you admit it's just chocolate cake.

Speaker 5 (05:31):
No, you just said it was chocolate cake.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
There's chocolate powder there, chocolate, but it's not dyed red.
It's a chemical reaction with the vinegar. It's a fungi er.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
Also, I didn't say it was dyed red. I said.
You just said it's still just chocolate cake.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
No, you can't make a chocolate cake and then throw
some red food coloring in and call it red.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
One want to join the conversation.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
A man in Utah did the.

Speaker 6 (06:42):
Most to keep his girlfriend from leaving him, literally kept
her and her family hostage.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Oh, you're not allowed to do that.

Speaker 6 (06:49):
Twenty twenty three year old dominate Christopher Garcia help his
girlfriend and her family hostage for six months, Ah because
he convinced them that they were targets of a cartel
and made threats to prevent them from leaving.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
Oh, he's playing mind games on another level.

Speaker 6 (07:07):
Admitted, this is like next level crazy. Yeah, he admitted
the story was entirely fabricated. After he got caught, admitted
it was entirely fabricated. And he kept up with his
life for that long out of fear of rejection. Is
the cartel even in Utah?

Speaker 5 (07:24):
Like, what a weird place to conduct your cartel business.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
So he had not just his girlfriend but her whole
family in hiding. He was the hero of this story,
saving the day, right, but whole.

Speaker 5 (07:35):
Time he was the one.

Speaker 4 (07:37):

Speaker 5 (08:03):
Where Diddy's trial is taking place. Or so we thought
these were all paid protesters. Yeah, they just try to
get twenty dollars to.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Wear a free puffy shirt.

Speaker 6 (08:12):
Stop And you said, now, yeah, I said, did they
say how many hours?

Speaker 4 (08:16):
Twen dollars an hour?

Speaker 5 (08:17):
Told me you got to pay like sixty dollars yesterday,
We're standing.

Speaker 6 (08:20):
Up here three hours for a free puffy shirt. So
Diddy or someone on his team is paying people twenty
dollars an hour to wear a free puffy shirt and
stand outside of the courthouse, and people are just doing
it all day.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Hey, money is tight money, That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
Like, that's so sad.

Speaker 6 (08:38):
That just goes to show how much people are struggling
twenty dollars an hour to stand here. Uh huh, like
that's dinner, you know, it's just so sad.

Speaker 5 (08:47):
Well, lady got jobbery.

Speaker 3 (08:49):

Speaker 3 (09:27):
I don't get starstruck often because Lazette, We're lucky enough
to be, you know, in the orbit of certain celebrities
at certain times, because of our job.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Right.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Oh, but it happened in a major way on Friday Night.
It's Strawberry and Lazette on Sacramento's New Kiss one oh
seven point nine. Because I work with the A's. They
had a party for a lot of season ticket members
Friday at Silt Winery in Clarksburg, Q. A lot of
a season ticket members were there. Steve Sach's, former A's
player and current as broadcaster, he was there. Jose Can say, go,

(10:01):
what's hanging out with a I know you don't follow
out of sports. Jose Can Seko, the man, one of
the Bash Brothers, UH World Series champion, one of the
few players in the forty forty club.

Speaker 5 (10:11):
He like the Barry bonds of the A's.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
Yes, that's a great red shave. Okay, so a humongous man.
He's he must be like six foot six. He's his
arms arms are ripped. I mean, he is a presence
and I'm like, there's there's jose Can Seko like the
guy grew up watching Oh my gosh, I'm hosting this
panel right just like you can. You know, A's fans
get to ask former A's players questions and Jose is

(10:35):
in the crowd, and so he kind of works his
way up to the front of the crowd and he
starts yelling, like in joking, in good spirits. He's like,
I have a question for Steve Sacks.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
You're like, how did you beat us in the World
Series whatever? And so me, I made a joke.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
I go raise your hand, raise your hand, and big
buff jose Canseeko goes, his hand goes.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
Up like he's in third grade. Handle question. That's my
interaction with jose Canseko. I made a joke.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
He laughed and he raised his hand when I told
him to raise his hand if he had a question.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
Very respectful, but that's my that's my claim to fame.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Now.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
I made jose canseeka laugh and I made him raise
his hand.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
Well, congratulations, thank you. He's probably gonna remember you for
the rest of his life down.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
Probably who's that pale redhead that told me to raise
his hand? But it was funny, like everybody laughed.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
That's always a good feeling like when you make a.

Speaker 6 (11:27):
Joke, uh huh and important people laugh.

Speaker 5 (11:30):
Yes, God, do you think I'm funny?

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Yeah, that's what I do, Lisette, that's what I do.

Speaker 6 (11:34):
I'm not saying that's what you do all the time,
but I'm just saying it feels good when it does happen.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
Chance that it happens.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
Oh, it happens all the time. That's my thing. If
you say so, If you say so, Kiss one o seven.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Point nine, we'll show every afternoon whenever you want.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
It's Strawberry and Lizette on Sacramento's New Kiss one oh
seven point nine.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
You got your daily dose of good news right now.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
It's Strawberry and Lizette on Sacramento's New Kiss one oh
seven point nine. And here's what's good. You thought this
only happened on TV.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
Into the movies. Person was on board a flight. They
make an announcement, is there a doctor on board? WHOA right?
So last month.

Speaker 5 (12:16):
They're like, oh my god, they're filming something.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Cardiologist TJ.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
Tradd was fast asleep on his flight from Uganda when
a member of his team woke him up, saying that
height somebody needs a doctor on this plane. So doctor
Trad rushed over the passenger. Passenger was drenched with sweat.
He complained of chest pains. He asked the doctor, am
I going to die? And like a true hero, guess
what Doctor Tradd said.

Speaker 5 (12:39):
Not on my watch?

Speaker 3 (12:40):
Close he said, not today, which, yeah, one of those
two is the right answer. So doctor Trad recognized the
man was having a heart attack, and he happened to
have the right medication and devices with him since he
was flying home from a medical mission trip in Uganda.
So within forty five minutes after taking the medication, passenger's

(13:00):
chest pain and heart rate started to get better. The
pilot asked doctor Hay, should we divert Should we land early?
Doctor Trad said no, I got it under control, like
continue on to Amsterdam. As as scheduled plane landed safely.
In Amsterdam, there was an ambulance waiting to take the
man to the hospital.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Here's where it gets even better, full circle moment. Right here,
Doctor Trad had to cancel this same trip. He was
gonna take this trip last year. He had to cancel
it because he had a heart attack. Oh no, so
because he had a heart attack, he had that medication
with him, he had the devices with him. He had
to do this trip this year now, so otherwise he

(13:40):
wouldn't have been on that flight. All that stuff was
for him, Yes, his half of it was for the mission, Okay.

Speaker 6 (13:48):
I was thinking, like, if he's carrying around all this
medication because he's he just came from the missionary whatever
he was doing, uh huh.

Speaker 5 (13:57):
I don't ever carry stuff with me that I don't
need to care for me. I don't carry it.

Speaker 6 (14:02):
I was thinking, like, what are the chances that he
just had it all in his carry on and was
able to get it.

Speaker 5 (14:07):
That's crazy.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
But if he didn't have a heart attack last year,
he wouldn't have been on the flight this year.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
He has saved that man from his own heart attack.
Crazy and that's what.

Speaker 5 (14:16):
Not today, Final destination.

Speaker 4 (14:18):
Not today. I want to join the conversation.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Send Strawberry and Lizette a talkback message while you stream

You're welcome. Thank you for listening. I so appreciate. What
do I do now?

Speaker 5 (14:44):
Just get ready to do some shopping. That's it. What
are you going to spend this money on?

Speaker 4 (14:48):
I think with one thousand dollars that I just won,
I'm going to give some to my children and get
some car repair.
